  1. This morning. We appreciate you being here.

  2. I want to say we miss each one that is

  3. unable to be here today. Brother Nathaniel and his family's

  4. on vacation. We pray that the Lord to help him

  5. be a mighty hunter before the Lord. He's dear hunting

  6. in Tennessee. Has been at it for several days now.

  7. May the Lord bless him and may he bring back

  8. enough venison to share. But he's a hunting and his

  9. family is with him. They're having a good time. They

  10. were at the Knoxville Zoo yesterday and we miss them terribly.

  11. I know the young people missed him teaching that class

  12. this morning. We missed him on the electric guitar, and

  13. we missed him his wife and his girls worshiping the

  14. Lord today. Others are out today due to sickness and

  15. illness and other things that I may or may.

  16. Not be aware of.

  17. But we miss everybody that's not here today. Looking nearby

  18. and notice, if there's somebody missing today, just say a

  19. prayer for him throughout the service and again. And my

  20. heart is overjoyed with what the Holy Ghost has brought

  21. to our attention that we are his bride. I'm looking

  22. forward to that wedding day. Aren't you looking forward to it?

  23. And apparently he knows there's one or two of monks

  24. just that's just not ready. There's no deception like self deception.

  25. And I've asked the Lord since I was a young child.

  26. I said, Lord of all things, keep me from self deception.

  27. Of all things, let me not be deceived. And I

  28. think that's what has steered me into the old path,

  29. the narrow way over the years. As I've said, God,

  30. I do not want to be ignorant. I do not

  31. want to be deceived. Have you ever had somebody tell you,

  32. don't tell me, don't tell me.

  33. I don't want to know it. I don't want to

  34. hear it.

  35. Even if it's the truth, I don't want to hear it.

  36. I'm afraid there's too many people doing that. They're just

  37. saying I don't want to hear it. I don't know

  38. what to do with it once I hear it, and

  39. I'd rather not have that knowledge. But if it's in

  40. the Bible, I want to know that it's in the Bible,

  41. if it's written pointed out to me, just as the

  42. Holy ghosts pointed out out to us this morning, aren't

  43. you glad once again to be the bride, not a bride'smaid. Amen,

  44. praise the Lord. If you have your Bibles, will you

  45. turn with me to the Book of First Samuel. May

  46. I direct your attention to chapter number thirty and verse

  47. number six. Brother Samuel Howell, Soalm chapter number fifty five

  48. and verse number twenty two. Brother Jesse Acts chapter number twenty,

  49. verses number twenty seven through twenty nine. Did you have

  50. a good weekend? Amen, we had a good weekend. We

  51. want you to know we appreciate you all so much.

  52. It's good to see the crowd here this morning of

  53. people of light, precious faith that love the Lord, have

  54. the same purpose in mind for today. It's simply to

  55. lift up the Lord so that he may draw all

  56. things and all people unto him. We thank God for

  57. the Spirit of God, the way it has moved in

  58. the service, the way the sayingers have obeyed the Lord.

  59. And I'm telling you they just sang the glory down,

  60. and I'm thankful for that. I want you to know

  61. that I have had a burden for several days now

  62. ever since I heard that horrible scream in my sleep,

  63. and I preached this past Wednesday night along them lines,

  64. and I continue to be alarmed in my spirit. But

  65. I want to encourage somebody today. But Sister Howell has

  66. been walking with me. I've been trying to get at

  67. least four thousand steps in a day, and I have

  68. heard probably three to four different people scream the exact

  69. scream that I heard. Now, I'm about fifty years old,

  70. and in fifty years, I've never really heard anybody in

  71. the general public scream per se just to do it.

  72. And Sister how has been shocked and amazed with me

  73. as we have witnessed God confirmed what I heard.

  74. In mysterious ways.

  75. In fact, at one point, this one individual scream twice

  76. for no apparent reason, and they were not demonically possessed,

  77. and it shook the area that they were in so

  78. well that by the time Sister how and I circled

  79. one city block of the Henry County Sheriff's Department was

  80. there and on the scenes with their lights on, and

  81. everything was okay. It was just God confirming to a

  82. holiness preacher that somebody that was under the sound of

  83. his voice this past week is in trouble. But I

  84. want to preach to the saints of God this morning,

  85. not the sinner. I want to preach to the bride.

  86. Praise the Lord for the good Holy Ghost. Amen, I

  87. want to preach to the bride. Sister Woot and Amen.

  88. It sounded like you were excited as you worship the Lord.

  89. The bride gets excited about being united with the bridegroom,

  90. the wedding of the bride, united with the groom. We

  91. shall see the king when he comes again. First Samuel,

  92. Chapter number thirty, verse number six. Brother Samuel, would you

  93. read Psalm chapter number fifty five and verse number twenty

  94. to my brother, Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and

  95. he shall sustain thee. He shall never suffer the righteous

  96. to be moved.

  97. Praise the Lord.

  98. And I have sensed in my spirit that some of

  99. the people in the building today just need to be encouraged.

  100. Brother Jesse, Acts Chapter number twenty, Verses number twenty seven

  101. through twenty nine.

  102. Amen, Praise the Lord.

  103. For I have not shunned to declare unto you all

  104. the counsel of God. Take keed therefore, unto yourselves and

  105. to all the flock over the which the Holy Ghost

  106. hath made you overseers to feed the Church of God,

  107. which he hath purchased with his own blood. For I

  108. know this that after my departing, shall grievous woods enter

  109. in among you, not sparing the flock.

  110. And as since the apostle Paul was saying, there's going

  111. to come a time when you need to be encouraged.

  112. Which let's stand for the reading of our texts. First Samuel,

  113. chapter number thirty and verse number six. The Bible says,

  114. and David was greatly distressed for the people spake of

  115. stoning him, because the soul of all the people was

  116. grieved every man for his sons and for his daughters.

  117. But David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. There

  118. was no preacher to preach that day, there was no

  119. priest to offer the ceremonial sacrifice for his sins that day.

  120. He had to encourage himself. And I pray that we

  121. can try to help you be encouraged today. But we're

  122. gonna need you to put forth an effort to encourage

  123. yourself as well. Heavenly Father, we love and we praise you.

  124. We thank you for your goodness, We thank you for

  125. your mercy. Lord, we pray that you would help this

  126. thy servant. I realize Lord, I'm nothing. I know how

  127. desperately I need you in this service this morning. You

  128. would annoint this thy service, set a guard at my mouth,

  129. and help me to say what you would have me

  130. to say. Again, I say, annoint me, please, God, and

  131. anoint the ears of this thy people, that they might

  132. hear what the spirit of God says unto the church.

  133. We pray God that we would depart this place joyfully

  134. and not sorrowly. In Jesus's name. In the church says Amen,

  135. I would like to preach a message the Holy Ghost

  136. titled a wound up Warrior, A wound up Warrior. How

  137. many of you are familiar with a wounded warrior project, Amen,

  138. I'll tell you a lot of those wounded warriors have

  139. found themselves wound up tight emotionally. Reading our text again

  140. First Samuel, chapter number thirty and verse number six, the

  141. Bible said, and David was greatly distressed for the people

  142. spake of stoning him, because the soul of all his

  143. people were grieved, every man for his sons and for

  144. his dog. But David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

  145. Our text is found in an Old Testament book of

  146. the Holy Bible, the Book of First Samuel. This particular

  147. book of the Bible was a favorite of mine for

  148. many years, and the reason for that is because there

  149. is so much preaching material in this book of the Bible,

  150. and as a young preacher, I found myself oftentimes preaching

  151. from the books of First and Second Kings and First

  152. and Second Samuel. And this morning, the Holy Ghost has

  153. focused our attention upon a certain incident which took place

  154. in the sweet psalmist life. David, the Sweet Psalmist of Israel,

  155. had made some bad decisions. It's only been a couple

  156. of months ago since Brother Jesse how will preach something

  157. along those lines of David not acting like himself, David

  158. not behaving himself as he normally would, and because of this,

  159. David made some bad decisions. I have not went back

  160. and listened to that message, but I do find it

  161. very interesting that the Holy Ghost some months later would

  162. be putting us again upon this particular chapter and drawing

  163. our focus and attention to it. So, David, the anointed

  164. of God had made some bad decisions, some which affected

  165. him alone and others which affected him and his companions.

  166. And him and his colleagues, cohorts and constituents. Even though

  167. he didn't always have a strong grip on his own life,

  168. he always seemed to have a tight hold on the Lord.

  169. And I feel like I'm preaching to such a person

  170. this morning that even though it seems like the things

  171. of this life are out of your control somehow, because

  172. of your faith and your determination, you hold on to

  173. the Lord.

  174. And I want to.

  175. Encourage you this morning to continue holding own to the Lord.

  176. In this narrative before us today, we can see of

  177. another time when David made a horrible decision, and brother

  178. Samuel Howe will because of this horrible decision, he found

  179. himself between a rock and a hard place. We know

  180. that his best friends Jonathan at one time found himself

  181. in between a rock and a hard place. But that

  182. was a time that was appointed by God. So Jonathan

  183. made it through that without any problem, and the Lord

  184. worked wondrously on the behalf of Jonathan and his armor bearer.

  185. But now David has allowed himself and as close as friends,

  186. men who are willing to give their very life for him,

  187. to be in between a rock and a hard place.

  188. When these warriors were dismissed from Akesh, one of the

  189. Philistine kings brother Jesse. The Bible said that they begin

  190. to make their journey back to a land that Acash

  191. had given them, and that land was Zickclag. Reluctantly, David

  192. headed back to Zicklag. After traveling three days, David and

  193. these loyal, mighty men caught a glimpse of home. We

  194. sing about it just yesterday that we can see the

  195. lights of home. We've talked about how homesick we've been

  196. of late for heaven.

  197. And I know that David.

  198. And his men truly were warriors and they were desirous

  199. to fight another battle. But God had his hand in

  200. this decision, and we find it to be the providential

  201. hand of God steering David away from that military squirmish

  202. and conflict and leading him to go home.

  203. And I feel like there.

  204. Are some people that are bitter babies of the church

  205. that for whatever reason, it didn't happen here, but for

  206. whatever reason, somewhere in a church sometime they became bitter.

  207. And it could have been because the bad decisions that

  208. they made, poor life choices that they made, and the

  209. preacher had to come down a heart on them. How

  210. many of you know that the church should still be

  211. practicing church discipline. How many of you know that parents

  212. should still be disciplining their children. I believe it is

  213. of the Lord's order that we have such a thing

  214. as discipline, and I feel like there are many times

  215. that disciplinary action needs to be taken. And so David,

  216. there's no doubt he understands the chastening.

  217. Broad of the Lord.

  218. He knows what it is to get out of step

  219. and out of tune and out of line with the Lord,

  220. only to have the Lord or write his steps that

  221. have him walk to the right beat, and have him

  222. led by the spirit of God in the right path,

  223. and to find himself in the right place at the

  224. right time. And even though this against the wishes and

  225. the will of David, David is just about back to

  226. zickclag And what a beautiful sight the horizon must have

  227. been in the distance. But as they drew closer, something

  228. didn't look right. There's no doubt something didn't smell right.

  229. Brother Jesse, I feel like from a great distance, some

  230. of these men who had good vision. You know, there's

  231. people in this building that could see really well from afar.

  232. I am one of those individuals. For years they called

  233. me Ego eyes. If somebody lost their car keys or's

  234. a tool in the middle of a twenty acre cow pastor,

  235. they would come to me and say, hey, I've lost

  236. this personal item. Sometimes it was a wallet, or a

  237. pair of prescription glasses or a pair of car keys,

  238. and some people would search, and because of their poor vision,

  239. after an hour or two they were unable to find it.

  240. But because my good vision to be able to see

  241. from a distance, I could see things that a lot

  242. of people couldn't see. I don't know why I was

  243. blessed with vision like this. I thought, Man, if i'd

  244. lived in the days of Daniel Boone and those other men,

  245. i'd been a scout, you know what I'm saying. They

  246. were just things that I could see a far away

  247. that other people couldn't see. And I remember at times

  248. them asking me, Jeremy, come over here. I was in

  249. this general vicinity, And when they would nail it down,

  250. it would still be about an acre plot of ground

  251. that they would want me to search. And I didn't

  252. have to walk very long, brother Jesse, until I recovered it,

  253. because I was looking for something specific, and I'm sure

  254. in the company of David and his men there were

  255. those men that were looking for something specific. I'm sure

  256. there's people in this building today would have been the

  257. type to have been walking and kiss kick, kicking pebbles

  258. and overturning stones and throwing rocks and not paying attention.

  259. You've seen those kind of people that walk with their

  260. head down. I've told my sons, I said, don't be

  261. that person that walks with your head down. Recently, we

  262. spent some time at a hospital awaiting the birth of Judah,

  263. and I pointed out in the sister house, said, look,

  264. how many people walk with their head down? I said,

  265. it's no wonder so many of them run smack dab

  266. into things because they will not lift up their head

  267. and look at their surroundings and familiarize themselves with what's ahead.

  268. And so I'm sure there were men like David and

  269. others that were looking on the horizon and looking for

  270. signs and symptoms of trouble. And I'm sure somebody would

  271. have noticed that there was a lot of smoke going

  272. up into the sky on that particular day. I'm sure

  273. somebody made a comment that we didn't need that many

  274. fire in order to cook supper for the inhabitants of

  275. our little town. There was no doubt there was somebody

  276. that noticed a destroyer.

  277. Had invaded their little town.

  278. And I want you to know, a preacher or a

  279. pastor sometime can look at a family and know that

  280. a destroyer has come into that marriage that family. They

  281. can even look into another pastor's church, and a pastor

  282. who's busy looking down and pretending live nothing would ever

  283. go wrong in their church, and that preacher can say

  284. there's something wrong and an enemy has done this. Let

  285. me be clear, I'm sure the heart rate of every

  286. male increased when the warrior cited a problem, When the

  287. warrior and the scout said there's something wrong in the camp.

  288. You see, these men would have been eye witnesses to

  289. the wars of heaths and warriors and armies. They had

  290. seen the after math of the Amlicos. Let me say

  291. that again, they had seen the aftermath of the Amlicos.

  292. You're not dealing with the aftermath of the Amlicos today,

  293. but some of you are dealing with the aftermath of

  294. a hireling that fled and left your little children at

  295. church of somebody that was a paid preacher. They had

  296. the pitching, the paycheck, the personage. But when trouble came,

  297. it revealed to everybody they were a hireling, and they

  298. wanted no part whatsoever in the recovery process. We have

  299. heard it been said that a lot of good men

  300. have inherited great works of great men, only to allow

  301. the devil to come in and to wreakhavoc and to

  302. destroy the works the great.

  303. God of those great men of God.

  304. You see, these warriors would have been walking around as

  305. wounded warriors, and the more they walked around and surveyed

  306. the damage, the more wound up they became. Are you

  307. listening to me this morning? I'm preaching a message the

  308. Holy Ghost titled a wound up a Warrior. I know

  309. a lot of pastors and pastors, wives and elders of

  310. churches are such a person as a wound up a warrior.

  311. I don't believe they're dealing so much with post traumatic

  312. stress disorder. But over the years, anybody involved with ministry,

  313. be it a pastor or an elder, they have experienced

  314. some traumatic things. I want you to know, Brother Richard

  315. Jacob could tell you of some things that have happened

  316. to good people because there was not a watchman on

  317. the wall, or there was not any man of God

  318. in the little town of God in order to help

  319. defend the city. That's I want to preach to some

  320. of you that feel like you have lost so much.

  321. I want to tell you that in a time of prayer,

  322. I heard a different cry. It was not a hopeless

  323. scream of despair. It was a crime. I could tell

  324. the spirit of God was in it. I could tell

  325. the life of the Spirit was present, and I could

  326. tell that the spirit of God was growning. I'm telling

  327. you here today, I'm gonna preach to somebody. You have

  328. looked like David and these wound up warriors did act

  329. the after math left behind by rebels. David had seen

  330. what the Amlekot army had did you have seen what

  331. the devils henchmen have done to your friends and your

  332. family and your loved ones?

  333. Oh, come on now.

  334. These men would have heard the testimonies of a handful

  335. of survivors telling how these brute beasts them better to

  336. find as savages had come in and tortured their victims.

  337. They knew these men were known to leave I'm telling

  338. you damage and hardship and calamity and chaos behind.

  339. They knew these men.

  340. Such as this would bring and leave behind times of

  341. great suffering and times of great injury and trial if

  342. they did not slaughter every one. And that is the

  343. purpose of the devil. He walks about as a roaring

  344. line of seeking to kill. He wants to steal, but

  345. most of all he wants to destroy. And can I

  346. tell you the malakotsay no different. They were of their father,

  347. the Devil. David remembered who the devil was. David knew

  348. the anger in the heart of the Philistine giant. Gonna

  349. come on now, are y'all win me right here in

  350. this building this morning. Some of you have been foughting

  351. long enough now to know the wiles of the devol.

  352. You know the cunning craftiness of the dampol. You know

  353. the devil neither slumbers nor sleeps. As well, I'm telling

  354. you God neither slumbers nor sleeps, and neither does the depot.

  355. But I want you to know the Devil is not

  356. an equal with Gabriel and Michael anymore. He's never been

  357. an equal to Jesus Christ. Lucifer is on a leasha.

  358. He is a formidable foe, but I want you to

  359. know he is a defeated foe. It certainly looked like

  360. a hopeless situation for David. I'm telling your brother Jesse, ever,

  361. remember of this army's wiring up. I'm preaching a message

  362. the Holy Ghost titled of wound up a Warrior. David

  363. understood that each member of this town had been in

  364. his care, and because they were under his watchful eye,

  365. and because this had happened, he is responsible. Oh, we

  366. can't find very many people anymore that would admit the

  367. responsibility for their actions. Come on now, I want to

  368. preach to you here this morning. So David knew these

  369. people had been entrusted into his care. The apostle Paul

  370. felt the same way about the church that he cared for.

  371. In fact, he said, the burden that I carry is

  372. so great it's all but unbearable if it was not

  373. because of me sharing the.

  374. Load with the Lord. When you look at.

  375. The twentyth chapter the Book of Acts, brother Jesse read

  376. that to us just a little while ago. He read

  377. a few select verses out of that chapter. And whenever

  378. you listen to what Luke recorded Paul saying, Paul said,

  379. wherefore I take you to record this day that I

  380. am pure from the blood of all men. What Apostle

  381. Paul is saying, my hands are clean and my conscience

  382. is clear. Come on, he said, right there, I am

  383. clear of.

  384. The blood of all men.

  385. It means when the Holy Ghost bade him to preach something,

  386. he preached it.

  387. When the Holy Ghost told him to go somewhere, he went.

  388. When the Holy Ghost spoke to him, he answered the call,

  389. and he was going to depart this life with a

  390. pure heart and clean hands. Luke recorded that Paul went

  391. on to say he had not shut to declare under

  392. you the whole counsel of God. I want you to

  393. know some of your friends and family members and loved

  394. ones are in the shape that they are in because

  395. some refuse to preach the whole counsel of God. Louke

  396. continued writing some other things that the Apostle Paul said.

  397. He continued telling leaders to pay attention and take notice

  398. that the Holy Ghost had made some of them over

  399. seers to watch over the flock and to feed the

  400. flock of God that's in the same chapter. Are y'all

  401. listening to the pastor this morning. I've heard a lot

  402. of preachers try to feed the flock, but there's very

  403. few that want to watch over the flock.

  404. Let me tell you.

  405. When you watch over the flock, it's not for an

  406. hour and a half on Sunday morning and for fifty

  407. minutes on Sunday night and Wednesday night. You watch after

  408. the flock twenty four or seven, and you feed the

  409. flock for an hour and a half on Sunday morning

  410. and hopefully for at least an hour or so on

  411. Sunday evening and Wednesday night. Have God made you an

  412. over seer? You ought to be a shepherd. And David

  413. knew like Paul, that we are under shepherds, under the

  414. Great Shepherd.

  415. In verse number twenty nine of Acts twenty.

  416. Luke recorded that Paul said, for I know that after

  417. my departing there shall grieve us worsome.

  418. It a're in among you, not sparing the flock.

  419. David and Paul knew wherever there are sheep, there are

  420. sure to be wolf's lurking nearby. I'll tell you what's

  421. worse than a natural amalakanta coming into a little town

  422. called sick Lag, It's a spiritual a malacote, a child

  423. of the devil, coming into a marriage, coming into a family,

  424. coming into a home, But more importantly, I'm focusing this

  425. morning on coming into church.

  426. I feel like there's.

  427. Not a whole lot of spiritual a Malakite's here, But

  428. I do know it's possible, because the Apostle Paul told

  429. the precious young pastors, and you'd better be careful and

  430. watch who eventually starts preaching there. They will think nothing

  431. of cussing, they'll think nothing of singing a worldly song.

  432. They'll think nothing of living like the devil. But they'll

  433. try to get in your poopid and they'll try to preach.

  434. They'll try to get behind the Sunday's court lictern, and

  435. they'll try to teach. I'm talking about an invasion. You're

  436. at your Amalakites and a real preacher and a real

  437. edder and a real beacon and a real pastor, and

  438. we'll understand.

  439. The wolf will be the wolf. The devil will be

  440. the devil. He will go about as a lion, he

  441. will lurk as a wolf. He will always be a

  442. beadied eye depod.

  443. But you don't have to let him come into your

  444. little town. I said, you don't have to allow him

  445. to come inside of your little town. So David and

  446. Paul new wherever there are sheep, there are sure to

  447. be wolves lurking nearby. Brother Samuel Howell has shared with

  448. us recently that on two to three occasions I know

  449. of at least two, there may be a third one

  450. there is a panther that is a killer panther that

  451. is lurking nearby where they work. It has stalked Brother

  452. Philip and has got within six to eight feet a

  453. Brother Philip. And thank God for the Holy Ghost prompting

  454. Brother Philip to look over his shoulder and to be

  455. aware of his surroundings. That thing should have pounced on

  456. Brother Philip, but God had mercy on Brother Philip, Sister Elizabeth,

  457. Sister Ada, and this church family. Recently, a lawn care

  458. company was in there doing the lawn for Brother Samuel

  459. and brother Philip. They basically run the place under doctor

  460. Abraham the veterinarian. And our brother Philip told me just

  461. last week he said that the lawn care company, the

  462. boss from that company called and said, listen, we won't

  463. be going back in that part of your property anymore

  464. because we called that panther stalking some of.

  465. Her crew members.

  466. And you know what, that's a real boss one that says,

  467. I'm not gonna jeopardize my employee to satisfy your.

  468. Wants and your wilms. Oh, come on now.

  469. And I hope Brother Samuel has done the same thing,

  470. and he has told Brother Philip and.

  471. Others, we are not going out there.

  472. We're not gonna play with fire unless we get burned.

  473. Come on now.

  474. Paul said that these people that would come into church

  475. would be savages, and they would be rabbingous beast against

  476. the flock.

  477. Of the Lord.

  478. I want you to know when them malachites rolled in

  479. the sick Lag, the wife.

  480. The warrior knew. They were not there.

  481. To ask for biscuits and gravy. They were not running

  482. through a drive through. They drove me in the recaboc.

  483. You could think about the wife of the warrior. She

  484. knew the enemy is here and there's nobody to protect something.

  485. Do you realize the blessing of a hedge and a

  486. man of God? Do you realize the blessing of a hedge,

  487. of somebody going over there to fire forest and praying.

  488. Day in and day out. Do you realize how blessed

  489. you are? Back? Turn near it? Put in our golden Texas.

  490. They even knew all too well what savages will do

  491. to innocent humanity, to innocent human beings. It doesn't matter

  492. if that child is cute and when it smiles, it's

  493. got dimpls. It doesn't matter if that little boy and

  494. little girl or pure with innocence. It doesn't matter if

  495. that wife is the wife of one man. I'm telling you,

  496. when the enemy comes in, I said, when the enemy

  497. comes in.

  498. And when David walked.

  499. Around the charred remains of what had been, every man

  500. was in his own ash pile, I said, every man

  501. was stirring in his own ash pile. If they live today,

  502. every one of them would have dropped a pin of

  503. that certain geographic location where what should have been.

  504. It's no longer where what could have been? It's no more.

  505. Come on now, I'm telling you what's a time of

  506. great distress. You get wound up one thing after another,

  507. one circumstance after another, one difficulty after another. You think

  508. the devil word ease up, but nobody. It keeps tightening

  509. it up. I said, It keeps winding your spring until

  510. it's had his leaping point.

  511. You ain't gotta worry about a spring breaking.

  512. What you gotta worry about is a spring leaping out

  513. of that view and running to the world.

  514. I want you to know David did not run to

  515. the Malakatza.

  516. First, David did not run to the Philistines, and David

  517. did not run to the Hebrews. David went to the

  518. Lord in a time of great distress. He felt like

  519. God could bless And I want you to know, I

  520. tell us some of you this morning. You will go

  521. from be a greatly distressed to be a greatly.

  522. Blessed if you put your trust in.

  523. The Lord, I said, if you put your trust in

  524. the Lord, great shall be the deliberance. So all through

  525. his life David had dilemmas, one dilemma after another. You know,

  526. you find yourself in them circumstances where you have to

  527. make a choice, and really none of them are good choices.

  528. You really don't like any of the things that are

  529. up for consideration and choice.

  530. You don't really want to pick any of it.

  531. And so what I do Do I chase the Amalikites

  532. without the presence of God. Do I be hasty in

  533. my actions and suffer waste? Do I go back to

  534. the five Kings of the Philistines that didn't want me anyway.

  535. Do I go back to a cash and beg him

  536. for assistance?

  537. What do I do? And that's what you're wondering.

  538. When are we gonna have another one of them sermons

  539. that pastor preaches that shakes my spirit? When are we

  540. gonna have another soul sing by Brother Jesse that stirs

  541. my spirit? You heard it this morning? When is brother

  542. Nathan You're gonna teach again? So wonderfully you hear it

  543. every week?

  544. You got all that.

  545. These men did not have it, They did not have

  546. a pastor to preach because the sweet simest of Israel

  547. is in the same shape as they are in.

  548. And that's what I want to ask you this morning.

  549. What if your pastor was in the same shape that

  550. you're in, We're just still make it. Would you help him?

  551. Who's a fight for him? Who's a fight for your family?

  552. I feel like some of you are seeing it right

  553. now for the first time. It doesn't matter what shape

  554. the olders enough, it doesn't matter how much they're getting Again,

  555. I'm asking you what you're gonna do with those wounds?

  556. Round up for you? What are you gonna do with

  557. those wounds? Round up for you?

  558. I'm gonna take them to the Lord. That's what I'm

  559. gonna do. Pastor, I'm gonna take these wounds to the Lord.

  560. Greatly distressed. For the writer to say, I'm greatly distressed. Amen,

  561. he's greatly distress. Somebody's took the head off of a

  562. giant named Glith and he said, I'm distressed. He's greatly distressed.

  563. A man that literally served as an armor bearer, that's

  564. gonna take jabblins, spears and swords for the one that

  565. he's guarded and protecting. Yeah, when he says he's greatly distressed,

  566. he's greatly distressed. His Sunday morning strawberry pop tart didn't burn. Yeah,

  567. y'all just heard it. That's my secret, right there, a

  568. Sunday morning strawberry pop tart. Y'all want to know my secret?

  569. This Sunday afternoon, Little Abigail ro Cap brings me a

  570. strawberry dragonfruit refresher with green tea.

  571. Oh yes, oh yes, that's the secret. What is the

  572. secret of victory? What is the secret of deliverance?

  573. It's not a strawberry pop tart, and it's not a

  574. strawberry dragonfruit refresher.

  575. It is when I am greatly distressed.

  576. I feel like just the turning of the event could

  577. be leading to my being greatly blessed.

  578. Oh come on now, I'm trying to encourage her right

  579. here this morning.

  580. If your pastor could say the same thing, job did

  581. I've got nothing left? Oh come on, ain't nothing to

  582. give it anybody. But ashes did not you burn? Did

  583. not I burn? Apostle Paul said, you suffer and I suffer,

  584. for we're all in the same boat, and we're all

  585. rowing there with the same captain a board, and Jesus

  586. is aboard this missile. And I want you to know

  587. Jesus is able to help you wound it with Warrior.

  588. Jesus is able to help.

  589. You wound up Warrior.

  590. But I'm wound up so tight, Mercy. I don't know

  591. what to think about this. I don't know what to

  592. do about that. I want you to know me still

  593. and know that He is God. They said before, when.

  594. You don't know what to do, do nothing at all

  595. but for the child of God. I want to add this,

  596. But when God speaks and he tells you what to do,

  597. then do it.

  598. And what they're saying here this morning, he is It

  599. doesn't matter hit the pasta, the first Lady or the

  600. eddor for anybody else. He's in the same boat. We're

  601. in the same as pile. You have to encourage yourself.

  602. And the Lord. How does that happen? My scripture? Reading?

  603. By praying, by getting Yet when the spear of God,

  604. he's moving. So the city of zick Lag is now

  605. attended again. There's people there, it's inhabited again. The ruins

  606. and the rubbish of zick Lag have some attendants there,

  607. and they're all wounded and wound up, warriors getting wound

  608. up more tight. I'm telling your brother, Caleb, their spring's

  609. about to jump out. Somebody's cranked on it too many cranks.

  610. Somebody's tested it too many times. Job's wife's a snapping

  611. and she's breaking. Are you all with me now? Apostle

  612. Paul told some of them, he said, you feel the tenchen,

  613. you feel the pressure.

  614. You're burning. I don't burn, you hurt, I don't hurt.

  615. And David's over there hurting, and brother, whenever the tides turn,

  616. there's nobody to preach to David. There's nobody to take

  617. a harp and strike a g cord and the seeing

  618. how sweet it is the victory. There's nobody to run

  619. around and do any motivational speaking. There's nobody to say,

  620. come on, king, If God before us, who can be

  621. against us.

  622. There's none of that going on.

  623. And David realizes, well, it's up to me again, because

  624. if I don't muster this crew, we're gonna remain miserable.

  625. And that's what I want to tell somebody in this

  626. building today, Dad and MoMA.

  627. Only you can muster your crew.

  628. Only you can shake them out of their miserable state

  629. of affairs in mind. Only you can do it. Oh

  630. come on, now, I'm telling you. I feel like God

  631. just spoke something into my heart. I'll say this, God

  632. will make a way for you, but you've got to

  633. step forward and move on when God makes the way.

  634. Greatly distressed, and the Bible said for the people spake

  635. of stoning him, because the soul of all the people

  636. was greed well joined the club. David sawl was grieved.

  637. David's spirit needed reviving. Every man's upset about his sons,

  638. every man's upset about his daughters, every man's upset about

  639. his wife's. In fact, I think when I read that scripture,

  640. I read it a few times. I need to go

  641. back and read it, because we got them trouble makers

  642. online that loved to listen to the preaching and find

  643. where you found one word you misspocused up with paraphrase,

  644. you know, But I don't think it said anything in

  645. there about wives. I think it said the sons and

  646. the daughters of every man's gone. I don't know what

  647. kind of women they were dealing with. I'm sure they

  648. wanted them back. I know David was missing his I

  649. know that man of God, and all through the scriptures

  650. you find references were David didn't want anything horrible to

  651. happen to his Oh Sweet Jesus, should I keep preaching

  652. or should we go to the chicken house?

  653. Amen?

  654. Get the imagery. David and his men are in distress.

  655. Emotions are off the charts. Each man is standing in

  656. an ashpile of what used to be, what could have been,

  657. what should have been, And brother Tyler, somebody notices something

  658. and observe it. Jeremy Howell or Nathaniel Howell says, I

  659. don't smell the smell of burnt flesh. Brother Jeremiah Howe

  660. was cremated of more bodies than probably about anybody I

  661. know he's created a many a body a week. What's

  662. the most you've ever done in a week, Brother Jeremiah,

  663. doing as many as fourteen a day, And Sister, One

  664. thing he told me when I went to watch him

  665. do one was you'll never forget to smell the burning flesh.

  666. And I had an idea that because I had worked

  667. in a welding shop and had did some fitting and

  668. welding and grinding, and I had burnt myself pretty severely

  669. a time or two, and I remember the smell of

  670. burnt flesh. But since the wood and I had never

  671. smelled it in that degree, and these wounded warriors, they

  672. would have known the smell of burning flesh. And somebody said, well,

  673. I don't smell anything like burning flesh. Y'all see this,

  674. y'all getting this? Well, there may be hoping. And some

  675. kicked around in the wood debris, Brother Samuel, and in

  676. the ashes, said I can't find any bones.

  677. I'm sure of the fire didn't get hot enough to.

  678. Disintegrate bones, Brother Jeremiah, y'all have to have a special

  679. fire that will attempt to do that, and even that

  680. it's unable to do it. And so they're looking for bones,

  681. and they realize there are no bones.

  682. Hey, come on.

  683. Bethel's youth pastor recently warned our young people of savages

  684. that live in the social on media circle and the

  685. savages that.

  686. Live in what video gaming.

  687. He didn't say that word savage, but he was warning

  688. you and telling you you better seek God. And I'll

  689. tell you what will happen. If you don't seek God.

  690. You'll find yourself seeking the savages. And before you deal

  691. with the savages, you're gonna have to seek God. Daven

  692. found that the Amblecots had invaded and burned their city

  693. to the ground. At some point, someone noticed there were

  694. no bones in the ash pile. There's no smell of

  695. burning flesh. That one of a kind stencher is not

  696. in the air. And that's what I'm telling you, Dad,

  697. and Mama, and Pastor and first lady and elder. I

  698. have not yet smelled the flesh of your loved one

  699. burning in hell, I said, I have not yet smelled

  700. the flesh, Nor has God smelled the flesh of your love.

  701. This one's burning in hell, Oh my God, in heaven.

  702. While they've got breath in their bodies, stir your Sapa

  703. out of sleep and make war on Hell. Chargetal with

  704. the promises of God, Chargetal, with the word of God, Chargetale,

  705. with this message that you.

  706. Came without four we cover all Amen.

  707. On top of this realization, David sees one man speaking

  708. to another, and then another one speaking to another. And

  709. now the savage spirit is not only in the Melachites,

  710. it's in David's best friends. Their eyes go from being

  711. round the beady, narrow ud. They licked their chops, and

  712. they begin to talk. Whisper to him, whisper to him,

  713. whisper to him, whisper to him. David realizes, see all

  714. these men whispering church. David realizes there's trouble. And all

  715. eyes had always watched David, but this time they're bloodthirsty,

  716. and this time all them warriors are wound up so

  717. tight emotionally that their target is David. David may be

  718. a match for Goliath, and David may be a match

  719. for this one and that one, But David is no

  720. match for the mighty men, them six hundred mighty men

  721. that followed him. I'm telling you, when you get a

  722. wounded spirit, and when you get wound up tight, the

  723. man that loves you the most. The man that you

  724. fled your homes to live in a cave with, the

  725. man that defended you and your family. Something will get

  726. a hold of your spirit. I'm telling you, you get

  727. wound up. I'm telling you, wounded warrior, you get wound up,

  728. and you know pretty soon you're targeting David. And then

  729. there's talks of stoning him to death because of his

  730. one bad decision. And when you look at why he

  731. did what he did, it makes a little bit of sense.

  732. And David says, in a time of distress like this.

  733. I need help. I need help.

  734. There's nobody to sing a song, there's nobody to preach

  735. a message. David begins to encourage himself in.

  736. The Lord, his God.

  737. God helped him get a hold of that e foda.

  738. He put it on and started having church for himself.

  739. The Man of God was greatly distressed, but in his

  740. distress he got blessed.

  741. And that's what I'm telling.

  742. You right here in these altars this morning, You've got

  743. an opportunity to get down in your distress and to

  744. talk to the Lord and to have church by yourself,

  745. not outside in the church yard, not over there in

  746. a bar club right there in the present. Have your

  747. brothers and sisters with the right spirit. You can say,

  748. right now, people don't understand me.

  749. Right now, people have misjudge me. Right now.

  750. True has been misrepresented right now, false accusations, her own

  751. every hand. I really did have the best interest in mine.

  752. But now, David, what are you gonna do when the

  753. six hundred come for you?

  754. I'll tell you what you do.

  755. You start having church, I said, you start having church.

  756. David taught us that if we can encourage ourself and

  757. our Lord, we can have victory in our lives. Yes,

  758. I'm an encourager, David could say, But now it's time

  759. to encourage myself. David taught us that we can encourage

  760. ourselves in our Lord when we can't get to church

  761. on Friday. It's easy to encourage yourself and the Lord

  762. on Sunday morning and Sunday night and even now.

  763. While pastor's preaching.

  764. But whenever there's no church on Monday and Tuesday and

  765. Thursday and Friday and Saturday. David told us that you

  766. can encourage yourself in the Lord when I can't see

  767. the church, be in the church when I can't hear

  768. the church.

  769. Be in the church.

  770. Right there in my prayer closet at home, I can

  771. kneel down and say, God is faithful. And that's what

  772. I want to tell somebody this morning. God is faithful.

  773. And whenever Job couldn't get to church, as to how

  774. he told missus Job, He's faithful. Great is thy faithfulness

  775. was his testimony of God. God is there always. And

  776. you know what he did. He prayed until God answered.

  777. He wouldn't rely upon the answer of Abba Shi and

  778. other notable warriors. He waited for God to say, let's go.

  779. I'm sure after it got through having church there were

  780. those that truly trusted David and said we're good to

  781. go now. I'm sure some put some swords in a scabbard,

  782. some smeared some ash on their face. That's what I

  783. would have done. I'm bringing the ashes to you. But

  784. David said, we got to hold on just a minute.

  785. We got to wait for God. And David said, Lord,

  786. should we pursue? Are y'all feeling what I'm a feeling

  787. right now? David's two wives were taking captives, and Hnim

  788. the gesu Ledis and Abigail, the wife of the Nable

  789. the carmelite, and David was greatly distressed, and their wives,

  790. and their sons and their daughters. They were missing their wives.

  791. Amen.

  792. Some have their hopes dashed right here this morning. Some

  793. have watched their dreams disappear. Some have struggled to find work.

  794. Some have struggled to pay bills. Some have struggled due

  795. to illness. Some are fighting battles right now that nobody

  796. else needs to know about. Some are fighting battles that

  797. nobody needs to hear about. You're greatly distressed, but I

  798. want to tell you can go to being greatly blessed.

  799. David was in a state of great emotional distress. I

  800. want you to think of the time in your life

  801. when you were the most wound up emotionally. A fellow

  802. approached me the other day. Their brother, Jesse, would come

  803. to the piano and he said, Pastor, since I left

  804. the church, he said, I've been going through it, he said,

  805. one accident at to another, one accident at to another.

  806. He showed me the scars on his neck, some of

  807. them two to three inches long. He showed me scars

  808. on his back right in the middle of Walmart, some

  809. of them three to four inches long. He said, my

  810. spine is disintegrating as fast as they can fix it.

  811. And admittedly, he said, I've been on this painkiller. I've

  812. been on this one. I've been on this one, and

  813. I've just been suffering. And you could tell he's a

  814. wounded warrior of this world. And you could tell he's

  815. get wound up tight because of the suffering. You let

  816. somebody get the suffering. There's some of your right now.

  817. You don't know what it is to suffer some of you.

  818. You don't know what.

  819. It's like to lose a loved one, not to death,

  820. but to the world. Every time a pastor loses one

  821. to the world, no matter how the church feels, it's

  822. best that they went. The pastor never shares those sentiments

  823. because the pastor knows that path leads to hell. Wound

  824. up warrior, you could just speak to them and they're

  825. in attack mode. You just speak to them and they're

  826. so defensive. You acknowledge and address them, and they're like

  827. a coke bottle, all shook up, just ready to explode.

  828. Apostle Paul said, in my body, the wounds every pastor

  829. bears in his body, wounds that cannot be seen by

  830. mortal eye, every elder, every dad, every mom, let's stand, please,

  831. would you please stand that wounded warrior. If he's not careful,

  832. he'll become the wound up warrior. They stopped thinking correctly,

  833. they stopped feeling correctly. They see buggers on every hand.

  834. Paranoia ensues, everybody's against them. In David's case, it was

  835. that paranoia settling in.

  836. It was a.

  837. Reality, sister. How had they killed David that day and

  838. buried him in his own ashpile, none of them would

  839. have lived to see the next sunrise, because had words

  840. spread David is dead, the grievous wolves would have descended

  841. upon And that's what Paul knew. When the news breaks,

  842. when the headline reads Apostle Paul Christianity's greatest persecutor. Now

  843. it was once its promoter, it's now deceased. The grievous

  844. wolves are coming. You watch it, Bethel, right here. When

  845. your pastor dies. People you thought would never come, you

  846. think they're coming because finally they feel like they can

  847. be comfortable where there's no holiness preaching. But they come

  848. on a mission to divide and destroy. But I know

  849. I'm preaching to somebody today whether elder, pastor, pastor's wife, preacher,

  850. whoever's listening, or young person. You're wound up tight, and

  851. my brothers, if y'all will as you part back just

  852. a little bit where I want you to come right here? Brother,

  853. if you need to pray this morning, wounded warrior, you've

  854. become a wound up warrior.

  855. Sister, where you at?

  856. You're here, there's about four of you today. You're wound

  857. up so tight emotionally, let's bow our heads and close

  858. our eyes. Well, Terry, just for about twenty seconds if

  859. you would come, would you please do so right now,

  860. keep your eyes closed and heads bowed. Please, there's two?

  861. Is there two more? I've been through so much I

  862. don't know what to expect next. I'm so shook up.

  863. Encourage yourself into lord, brothers, the sisters are coming. The

  864. brother's altar, which is unusual, remains empty. This is very unusual.

  865. So brothers, I know this morning we've hit a nerve

  866. on your side. I know of at least two men

  867. that need to be in this altar. You know what

  868. happens to the person that stays wound up? They self destruct,

  869. They self implode.

  870. Is there any others.

  871. You may say, Pastor, I'm not wound up yet, but

  872. I'm wounded and I'm trying to navigate this. There's more coming. Yeah,

  873. you better deal with it before it becomes a wound

  874. up situation. There's about fourteen of you now, let's just

  875. all come in and find a place to pray.

  876. And to those of you that aren't wounded and aren't

  877. wound up, just hold on.

  878. You will be soon enough. So if you will, please

  879. pray for your brother and sister. Don't speak of taking

  880. up stones and stone in them. If you're hurting, so

  881. is your brother. If you're suffering, so is your neighbor.

  882. That's what Apostle Paul said to you.

  883. People.

  884. Understand, I'm flesh and blood just like you. Could we

  885. get together this morning and pray and be transparent. Preacher,

  886. you're wound up tight. Feel like some pastors will be

  887. listening to this. Pastor, you're wound up tight. Pray it through,

  888. encourage yourself
