Bibles, and I know you do. Will you turn with
-
me to the Book of Deuterotomy. May I direct your
-
attention to the ninth chapter in the twenty fourth verse.
-
It's good to have my friend brother chip Roy here again.
-
I'm thankful he's here with us this winter. He's always
-
a blessing to the Open Air Evangelism ministry team. Also
-
during the Swamp Cabbage Festival. He's so ministry minded. I
-
appreciate all the miles he's traveled over the years to
-
come down and help reach the least of lost and
-
the lonely. He's not ashamed of the Gospel, that's for sure.
-
He plants himself on a street corner many different times
-
throughout the year, here with the Bethel Hole and this
-
evangelistic team, and I'm thankful for that. Brother Nathaniel First
-
Samuel chapter number fifteen, versus number twenty two in twenty
-
three and Brother Jesse Hebrews chapter number ten, verse number
-
twenty five. Did y'all enjoy that Sunday school lesson this morning?
-
I'm telling you what I heard of. It was wonderful.
-
It was recorded. If you want to go back and
-
listen to all of these Sunday school lessons by these brethren.
-
It is on spreaker. I appreciate the teaching of the brethren.
-
It's been wonderful. Appreciate all the exhortation and monishments that
-
have been given. I appreciate our elders, all of you
-
the age of fifty and older.
-
My hat's off to you. I salute you.
-
I appreciate you so much, our young people, our preacher
-
brethren especially. I want to tell you all something. You
-
guys are great preachers. Every one of you are great preachers.
-
You're keeping me on my toes.
-
Amen.
-
I'm getting older, y'all becoming greater and greater. I'm decreasing.
-
Y'all are increasing. Brother Philip told me the other day
-
in so many words, he said, you ain't decreasing, You're increasing.
-
You know why I have to because you guys are
-
keeping me on my toes. And I appreciate that. I
-
believe in that, don't you believe? Iron sharpen with iron.
-
Seeing these young men come in with a zeal and
-
a passion for the Word of God. I love that.
-
It blesses me all right, Brother Nathaniel, First Samuel, chapter
-
number fifteen versus number twenty two, and twenty three. Brother
-
and Samuel said, half the Lord is great delight in
-
burnt offerings and sacrifice, as in obeying the voice of
-
the Lord.
-
Behold is behold.
-
To obey is better than sacrifice, and the hearken than
-
the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin
-
of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity in idolatry. Because
-
thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath
-
also rejected thee.
-
From being king again.
-
I'm preaching a message the Holy Ghost titled robbing the Rebellious.
-
I was awakened in the early morning hours this morning
-
with this phrase, the devil is stealing from them. And
-
Brother Nathaniel just read First Samuel, chapter number fifteen, verses
-
number twenty two and twenty three, and I want to
-
point out that Saul was removed from being Israel's king.
-
Even the God personally himself chose Saul to be Israel's
-
first king, and the anointing was no longer part of
-
his being because God withdrew his spirit. And in a
-
recent service, God told one or two that if they
-
did not stop being disobedient, he would withdraw his spirit.
-
And Brother Jesse's highly anointed in my opinion, and I
-
remember he was so sick in that service. In fact,
-
I remember that service was last Sunday, and even though
-
Brother Jesse was so sick, he cried out so to
-
Oh God, take not thy.
-
Spirit from us.
-
So I don't think some in this building understand exactly
-
what is at stake. Again, the phrase this morning that
-
came to mind is the devil is stealing from them,
-
brother Jesse. Hebrews, chapter number ten and verse number twenty five.
-
Brother, not forsaking the assembling of our ourselves together as
-
the manner of summias, but exhorting one another, and so
-
much the more, as you see the day approaching, you know.
-
What you miss when you don't come to church. The
-
devil steals some sermons from you. He steals some exhortations
-
from you. He steals moments of worship and praise and
-
encouragement from you. Don't let him steal that service. Let's
-
stand for the reading of our golden text Deuteronomy, chapter
-
number nine and verse number twenty four. The Bible says,
-
ye have been rebellious against the Lord from the day
-
that I knew you would.
-
You read that with me.
-
Ye have been rebellious against the Lord from the day
-
that I knew you. What a powerful scripture, What a
-
golden text we have before us today. Let's pray, Heavenly Father,
-
we love and we praise you. We thank you for
-
the opportunity to be in your house. We pray that
-
you would anoint this thy people, set a guard at
-
their ears, and help them to hear what the spirit
-
of God says unto the church.
-
Lord, help them.
-
I pray, help me, your feeble servant, God, Lord. I
-
know that I'm friil and feeble compared to you, who
-
is all powerful. I need strength of mind and spirit
-
in order to deliver this, to be strong and courageous,
-
and to speak as your oracle. I beg of you
-
to please anoint men. Help me, God, set a guard
-
at my mouth, and help me to say the things
-
you would have me to say, nothing more or less.
-
Help these sayings to go below the shoulders, because we
-
do know so much was stolen from Israel's first king, Saul.
-
He lost so much he allowed the thief to come
-
in and to steal from him. I pray that we
-
would depart this place joyfully and not sorry. In Jesus'
-
name in the church said heymen, as you're being seated,
-
look at your neighbor and say, hey, neighbor, don't allow
-
the devil to steal from you. Our text is found
-
in an Old Testament book of the Holy Bible, the
-
Book of Deuteronomy begins with these words. These be the
-
words which Moses spaken to all Israel on this side
-
of Jordan in the wilderness. And as we read through
-
this sacred writing, the fifth book of the Bible, the
-
man of God, Moses as its author, is telling us
-
about the nation of Israel coming to the end of
-
a vicious cycle, a vicious cycle that was more vicious
-
than that of the drug user and abuser. Every addict
-
can tell you about that vicious cycle of becoming an addict,
-
going through the process of sobering themselves from that substance,
-
only to find themselves becoming a victim again of that
-
uncontrolled substance, that substance that they're unable to control. They
-
are victims of a vicious cycle. And I want to
-
preach to summon this building this morning, who are victims
-
of a vicious cycle. I could not title this message
-
that because the Holy Ghost did not give that to me.
-
But in my time of prayer and study, that thought
-
came to me that there are people in this building
-
whom are victims of a vicious cycle. So we see
-
the man of God, Moses, has brought the nation of
-
Israel through this vicious cycle. And they reached the end
-
of forty years of wandering in the wilderness. And I
-
wonder how many people in this building have been with
-
us for ten, fifteen, eighteen, and twenty years, And Sister Wooting,
-
their steel as lost as they were back then concerning
-
certain things. They haven't grown spiritually for whatever reason. Or
-
perhaps some have been here for five years and they
-
haven't advanced, and they haven't grown in grace and in
-
the knowledge of the Lord's Savior Jesus Christ.
-
While others have literally.
-
Thrived, they find themselves just barely surviving. It is no
-
bad light or shade cast upon the ministry of Pastor
-
Howell and the spiritual authorities and leadership here at Tabethel
-
Hole in his church. It is to no shame of
-
our elders. We've seen God bless in a wonderful way.
-
We've had those seasons of mighty revivals and just great
-
which is just spiritual awakenings and outpourings of the sweet
-
water of Heaven out.
-
Of the glory world. The water has.
-
Flown, and this place has just been filled up with
-
the wonderful river of the Holy Ghost. But somehow through
-
that process, brother Nathaniel, there are those that are still
-
wandering in their mind. They're still living their own life,
-
making their own choices. They continue to make bad decisions.
-
And here in this narrative we see that the children
-
of Israel are standing near the threshold of a land
-
that had been given to them many many years prior.
-
In fact, it took them a long time to occupy
-
the land which had been promised to their forefathers. Those
-
of you that are in this building that read the
-
Word of God, you know that what should have been
-
about a ten or fourteen day journey became a forty
-
year experience in the wilderness. And Brother Jesse, these people's forefathers,
-
their parents, and their aunts and uncles, their grandparents.
-
All died in the wilderness.
-
And the same thing is going to happen to these
-
people if they do not.
-
Hearken and heed unto the words of God.
-
And so when you read this book of Deuteronomy over
-
and over again. Yes, in fact, repeatedly, Moses is speaking
-
to all of Israel. I noticed several different times. Moses
-
is summoning the people together together, and he says, here,
-
all Israel, He's speaking to everybody the same way the
-
Holy Ghost has been speaking to everybody here at the
-
Bethel Holiness Church. God was trying to bring these Hebrew
-
people into the center of God's will and system. For
-
whatever reason, some found themselves in the center of God's will,
-
while others chose not to obey the commandments of the Lord,
-
and their remains are in the sandy dune of the wilderness.
-
Oh, come on, get the imagery. Here. There are millions of.
-
Hebrews who have followed Moses from Egypt to the gates
-
of Jericho, and once again they are literally standing with
-
their toes on.
-
The threshold of Jericho.
-
Another generation of desert babies has been raised in this
-
time of the wilderness wanderings, and the Lord is expecting
-
them to assemble and together once more. And what's gonna
-
happen when they assemble, The Man of God up is
-
going to speak to them concerning the commandments of the Lord.
-
He's not going to deliver to this generation a different gospel,
-
if you would. He is not going to execute our
-
administer a new covenant, if you would, He's going to
-
preach the same thing that he had preached to a
-
previous generation. He's going to speak the words of God,
-
which are the commandments of God. In other words, God's
-
plan for the Hebrew people. What you're holding in your
-
hands right now is the revealed will of God.
-
It is the word of God.
-
And there were certain people by the philipp whether it
-
was preached, spoken, or tal to or read, for whatever reason,
-
they chose not to obey the commandments of the Lord.
-
And the same thing can be said today. There are
-
millions upon millions of people throughout this United States of
-
America who declare to be one nation under God, who decided,
-
for whatever reason it gets going to the House of
-
God this morning, they chose not to meet together at
-
the House of the Lord. And in the last few
-
minutes I've been saying, for whatever reason, on purpose, I
-
want to tell you this morning.
-
The reason why.
-
The reason why is because of rebellion. When I think
-
of all the wonderful things they are missing out because
-
a chooser to skip the service even though God had
-
spoke to the Hebrew people in the day He's Moses,
-
and through his word and through his servant, and that
-
same God spoke to the apostle Paul, who I believe
-
is the author of the Book of Hebrews, and he
-
spoke in Hebrews ten and verse number twenty five, these
-
words and not forsaking the assembling of ourself together as
-
the manner of Psomias. And that's what God dealt with
-
me on this morning, those words.
-
As the manner of Psomias.
-
I want to ask you this morning about that attitude.
-
Where did you get that bad attitude from? I'm only
-
preaching the two or three. Where did you get that
-
rebellion from? Where did you get that stubbornness from? I
-
tell you, Jesus told some He said you you or
-
of your father, the Devil.
-
I tell you.
-
The reason why you act the way you do, the
-
reason why you make the choices that you make and
-
do things your whole way, is because you do not
-
even realize you are up your father the devil.
-
Come on, now, that's why so many.
-
Today feel no need at all to assemble at a pointed.
-
Timer in the house of God.
-
But can I tell you whether it was Moses or
-
preaching to the desert babies, or the Apostle Paul preaching
-
to a new generation of Christians, or Jeremy Howell preaching
-
to the best of Holiness Church, or any other preacher
-
preaching this morning, assembly is required.
-
I said, up.
-
It was in the days of Moses that assembly was required.
-
It is steel required today that I'll do it my way.
-
I'm the priest of my own house. I'm my own person.
-
In fact, my body is the tempola of the Holy Ghost. Yeah,
-
but you ain't got control of your temple. I'm telling somebody, Honey,
-
the sound from my voice this morning, why is that
-
your customer? Why is that your style? Why is that
-
your manner? Paul admitted, some have got some bad manners,
-
some's got some bad ways, some made some bad choices.
-
But Paul's head, you better not do it. You better
-
not make that same decision.
-
Now.
-
The Apostle Paul wrote that verse to Hebrew people that
-
have reverted back to Juday is they had been converted
-
from Judaism to Christianity, and for whatever reason, probably because
-
of persecution and struggling spiritually and enduring hardships, after hardships
-
and watching their spouses cut asunder, literally cut in half,
-
watching people stole to death, Brother Jesse. Because of persecution,
-
some had went back into Judaism, and others had given
-
up Paul together an apostle. Paul was telling a persecuted
-
people that you better not keep from gathering together, even
-
under conditions like this. And I'm looking at people today
-
in this world who have not been persecuted, they have
-
not been thrown in prison, they have not been murdered
-
for the sake of Christ, but yet they still have
-
a problem keeping His commandments. And I'm talking to her
-
dream right here at the Bethel Holiness Church this morning.
-
There, you better not.
-
Be a victim of the vicious cycle for much longer.
-
The thief of all thieves, the thief lord himself, who
-
support it's robbing you of some precious things because of
-
your stubbornness, because.
-
Of your rebellion.
-
I've seen young women before act like they weren't interested
-
in having a male companion. I've seen them oc like her,
-
they were disinterested in any marital candidate because of pride,
-
because of rebellion, because of stubbornness. And I want to
-
tell you the devil. He ribed that rebel. I said,
-
the devil ride that rebel. The joys of marriage, how.
-
The joys a parent hood. I'm telling you, pride is
-
that the root of rebellion.
-
They whimper and they whine stealthily.
-
I know what I want.
-
It's natural for you to want a companion, And it's
-
natural for somebody like sister Wooton, who has had her
-
soul mat to not want another one. But it's natural
-
for somebody that's never known what true love is to
-
want it and to desire it. But what is devilish
-
and unnatural it's for you to refuse to do what
-
God wants you to do because of pride, rebelling against
-
God in spite her repeated warnings. That's the other thing
-
that came to mind as I was praying and studying
-
since six o'clock this morning. Repeated warnings, Brother Caleb, That's
-
one of the things you and I had discussed there briefly.
-
The Holy Ghos has issued.
-
Warning after warning, but yet they're rebelling against God in
-
spite of repeated warnings. Rebellion is essentially pride and unbelief.
-
It is saying I know better than God. I know
-
better than God. That's how the homosexuals end up being
-
the homosexual and they forsake what is natural because in
-
their own heart they kick against natural order. They kick
-
against the Princess. Jesus told Paul to stop doing. And
-
I'm telling some under the sound of my voice, if
-
you don't stop being as stubborn as a mule. If
-
you're sitting there right now thinking I got attention like
-
I want, it is the wrong kind of attention. And
-
I tell you you won't be hearing many more sermons
-
after this one, because I feel like just was the
-
case with the children of Israel in the wilderness. God
-
has shown me that the earth is already trembling underneath
-
your feet. And the Bible said that Hell itself had
-
the large itself.
-
It has moved beneath the feet of us all.
-
And if it weren't for the goodness and the grace
-
of God, she would have unhinged her jaws, and with
-
the sands of the wilderness where you're wondering at, she'd
-
swallow us and the sand upper and return to the abyss,
-
into that awful region of the damn. I'm telling you
-
you care not do wrong and get by I'm gonna
-
say it again, innocence, rebellion. He is a pride and unbelief,
-
saying I know better than God.
-
God knew that it's not good for a man to
-
be alone.
-
God created a woman that she should be able to
-
bear children.
-
In fact, the Bible said about.
-
Some that would be unsaid that they would be saved
-
through childbearing.
-
Oh, my God in heaven.
-
But this is a generation that despises adulthood. This is
-
a generation that despises fatherhood, motherhood, had parenthood. Well, I'm
-
smarter than God. I don't want the responsibility. I want
-
an ogle everybody else's offspring, but I don't want any
-
of my own. I told one young man in this church,
-
I said, there better be manifestations of a desire for
-
the opposite sex by the time you're the age of
-
thirty five, or else we're gonna have a rodeo around here.
-
How tell you turn thirty five, I said, you ain't
-
gonna stretch around this church with an inheritance that's visible
-
for all to see, with no bills to pay, because
-
somebody took care of you and watched these men struggling
-
to provide for a wife and struggle to provide for
-
their children there, while you ain't gotta care in the world.
-
That's what I'm dealing with right now.
-
You don't care to take care of your own grandma's yard.
-
You don't care to take care of what really matters.
-
Whatever.
-
I have to tell you more than twice to do something.
-
What did our take say?
-
Do you running me nine?
-
At twenty four? You have been rebellious good the Lord
-
from the day that I knew you for eighteen and
-
a half nineteen years.
-
Now you've been you, and if you're gonna make it,
-
you have to change.
-
It seems some are determined to obey the Lord, while
-
others choose to refuse to obey and comply with instructions
-
given by the Lord. Y'all do know foolish ones? And
-
that I'm preaching to two or three, maybe four or five.
-
I've been surprised before I thought I was preaching the
-
two or three brother would to get out of church
-
and find I was preaching the five or six.
-
Sorry I didn't even know I was preaching too.
-
But whatever. Sister how and I were engaged.
-
She done something that I didn't like, and because she'd
-
done that, I told her you know what, it's off.
-
I have no intention on looking back your way again.
-
That's the way, Jeremy how I was natured. So they
-
messed up, they attempted to break my heart. I was done.
-
They messed up. I was done. It was like a
-
light switch thrown. I'm done. I got saved, sanctified, and
-
it even spoke in tongues, felt like our spirit filled
-
and really praying and seeking the Lord, trying to figure
-
out what did he say about things? What did he
-
sayd his revealed word? What did that Bible say? I'd
-
been gone wearing out of Thompson Chaine, I mean literally
-
wearing it out the cover, wore it off, reading it
-
countless hours every day. And she done something that made
-
me think she may not be interested in the Holy way,
-
in the way that is a good way, that she
-
may not be altogether interested in the old pass. The
-
Bible said, you asked for him, that's the good way.
-
And then once you find that way, you walk in
-
it and you stay in it. And brother stared, I
-
was wondering what you stay in it? And I broke
-
it off, and I met her grandmother's property that was vacant,
-
and we parked behind that house not to do things
-
that Christians don't do. We parked behind that house to
-
part ways, and at that time we had just the
-
wedding bands. She had an engagement ring on her finger,
-
and I said, give me that ring. That's your momable
-
give me that ring. I got out that camaro. She
-
got it up forty XV. I walked over her to
-
her door and sister witkening, if I've ever seen a
-
broken heart, she had it. And with love in my heart,
-
I said, Charity, you've been my best friend for about
-
a year and a half. Now I love you dearly,
-
but you don't mess with me in this manner. You
-
don't mess with me when it comes to the things
-
of my God and God's word, and you don't insult me.
-
You don't do this.
-
It won't be what your mom and daddy did up
-
and down in the marriage. It won't be up and
-
down in relationship. It's gonna be just even killed here.
-
And I set hand me that ring, and she handed
-
me to ring. I put it in my pocket because
-
God was already starting to deal with me about jewelry.
-
I just put it in my pocket as it was
-
just a gum wrapper had no value to me whatsoever
-
at that point. But I knew my promise to her
-
is about to be broken forever because of what I wanted.
-
And I wasn't sure if what I wanted was what
-
she wanted. Because we're all entitled our own choices. I
-
had no idea that woman was standing at a fork
-
in the road that day. She had to make the
-
right decision just like I did. And I remember rather
-
than her getting mad and copping an attitude and saying
-
something like this, who do you think you are? I
-
don't need you anyway. I'll make my own decisions. I'll
-
make my own choices. There there's many more fish in
-
the sea. You ain't the only man in the world.
-
You ain't the only one that has ever had feelings
-
for me.
-
I can have.
-
Another boyfriend by sunrise. She didn't say any of that,
-
because she's not that man or a woman. Y'all got
-
what we spread in our text and co text. Right
-
since I've known you, You've been this way, is what
-
Moses told the children of Israel. You know why, because
-
of the hardness of your heart, because of unbelief, and
-
because of pride, you've been this way. Nobody taught you
-
how to humble yourself. And Moses is speaking some pretty
-
harsh words. They're even hard and you know what, but
-
just I didn't see your mama manner that way. I
-
didn't see her slam a car door. She wasn't about
-
to put a car in gear and burn the tires
-
and on the asphalt or throw up dirt like a
-
rooster tells you. She just real humbling, meek, he said, Jeremy,
-
I love you, and I just walked off. Not let
-
my emotions alter my decision, I said, not let my
-
emotions alter my decision. And I opened the door of
-
that heavy door, that old kamara, and I went to
-
get in like this, and the holygo said, if you
-
leave her, she will go to Hell. I never even
-
got the other foot in the car, because I'm not
-
mannered to way some of you are mannered, and I
-
speak humbly. I'm not mannered to kick against God's words.
-
I'm not mannered to buck against the will of God.
-
I'm not mannered to have to be preached the same
-
thing over and over again. I'm not mannered to pout
-
and have to be encouraged over and over again, I said.
-
Apostle Paul wrote Hebrews ten twenty five to a Hebrew
-
people that were watching their loved ones be persecuted, including murdered.
-
He was preaching the candidates for martyrdom, don't give up.
-
Keep together, keep gathering by the river, keep gathering in
-
one another's house, keep going strict, keep exhorting to one another,
-
keep singing, keep having church.
-
I'll come on now, I've said it before. I didn't
-
raise you.
-
I don't know why your natured that way, but a
-
lot of people that were raised by the wrong people
-
have ended up in hell, and a lot of people
-
that was raised by the right people.
-
I'm also ended up in hell. It's not on me.
-
It's not me being harsh.
-
It's not on sister, wouldn't be in hard And so
-
what does God say? If your hide was busy with
-
a little baby, you would have time to be so
-
worried about silly.
-
That self mistakes. No.
-
Ten thousand times no, adoption is not an adoption for you.
-
If you are busy being a father, you would have time.
-
To go see a masseuse.
-
If you were being busy teaching the boy how to
-
thread a worm on the hook, you would have time
-
for cucumbers. In your eyes. You guess what you're thinking
-
right now. Histically, you been taking wrong. I said it today.
-
One of these brothers was raised in a ghetto type
-
home atmosphere, but he didn't bring it to your house.
-
And I'm telling some of you better leave that ghetto
-
mindset and that ghetto lifestyle. We all deal with the
-
pains and the scars of sin, and as the children
-
of God, we have hope in the new nature. Oh
-
come on, I don't know why you're natured that way.
-
But if any man being Christ, the Apostle Paul said,
-
he is a new creature.
-
You got a new nature.
-
Oh, natures that passed away, Oh things are gone.
-
All things have become new.
-
If you don't want to raise your hand right now
-
because of the way I'm preach it, you better kill
-
that nature. If you're already wanting to plant your front
-
feet and bucket me, you better lose that nature. Apostle
-
Paul had that nature, but he could testify about the
-
changing of that nature because Jesus said, stop planting your
-
front feet and bucking. It's hard, Paul, for you to
-
kick against the pricks. It's normal, man, the water of wife,
-
and it's normal woman, the one of husband, and you
-
go ahead, stand up and testify and say, pray with
-
me that God will give me a wife. Pray with
-
me that God will give me a husband, and stopped
-
pining away in solitude, pouting about what you don't have.
-
Since I've known you, you've been natured this way. A
-
thief cometh to steal, and the thief, Lord Lucifer, he
-
cometh to steal, to kill, and to destroy. You know
-
what you lose when you run out of church early
-
because you're mad. You lose watching sister wooting play with
-
them little babies. You lose watching somebody endear themselves to
-
somebody else, rebellious against God. In spite of repeated warnings,
-
it seemed Summer determined to obey the Lord, while others
-
choose to refuse to obey, and others choose to refuse
-
to comply with instructions given by the Lord. Listen, my
-
will was to walk away from that woman. I didn't
-
know of any other candidate, didn't have any other fish
-
on the line, had no desire for any other As
-
far as I know, she was my wanting only. I
-
was just walking away from uncertainty as to whether or not.
-
She wanted to old pass. But I knew when God
-
spoke it was his will. And I had saw her
-
stop cutting her hair, I had saw her start living holy.
-
I'd saw her stop watching movies. I'd saw on witness
-
her try to present her body unto God as a
-
holy sacrifice. I see if consider it reasonable to do so.
-
I saw her new nature, but I was unsure that
-
she was going to take me down the road her
-
mom and daddy went down, and I didn't like that.
-
And God spoke to me. But my choice was go
-
ahead and get on in, close the door, and drive
-
off and never look back. And sister wooting all of this,
-
I wish I could call up to them. Six kids.
-
Our oldest just celebrated thirtieth, thirty years of being upon
-
this earth. He just celebrated his thirtieth birthday. If I
-
had gotten that car and closed the door, I'm telling you,
-
had I crossed Highway sixty on thirty seven southbound, I
-
did never look back. Had I silenced the voice of God.
-
And that's what some of you are doing right now.
-
You're putting me on mute SPIRITSY. I'll get through this one.
-
I'm gonna tell you. Might get through discermon and you
-
might have a pity party in power after discernment. But yeah,
-
I'm preaching to you, but I tell you what, you
-
won't get through.
-
Unscathed as hell.
-
Because I ain't you God, But you got one you're
-
gonna stand before, and your soul belongs to him. I
-
walked back to Sister Charity and I said, listen, God
-
just spoke to me and said, if I leave you,
-
you're gonna go to hell.
-
Now she could have had a spirit of pride and said.
-
I'm a child of God too, like somebody might be
-
doing right now. I don't care what you say. God said,
-
Miss Charity, if I leave you, you going to hell.
-
The night I got called to preach, God spoke to
-
me on the way to the church I was walking to,
-
and he said, if you don't answer tonight, people will
-
go to hell. And I can tell you what the
-
results of direct disobedience to his word and his will
-
would have been. There'd been none of this going on
-
right now, seventy five people in this building. Where would
-
Ethan Roquat be right now? I'm not thinking highly of myself.
-
I'm a nobody.
-
I'm saying, oh, how We're all benefited when we all
-
obey God, all the things we gain rather than lose.
-
I'm so glad I stepped out of that car with
-
the other foot and walked over to your mama and said, Hey,
-
you're forgiven, forgive me.
-
Let's go on pray for me, prayer warriors.
-
Saul was removed from being Israel's king, and the Holy
-
anointing was no longer part of his being because God
-
withdrew his spirit. Saul decided he would rob God, and
-
some people make the choice, I'm gonna rob him and
-
tithe and offering. When he said, the consequences are extreme
-
and severe Antonysnce of Fire, I won't say I've given
-
a lot, but I'm only given a little. What did
-
you lose, Antonysence the Fire. I'm preaching the message the
-
Holy Ghost titled Robbing the Rebellus. I'll tell you who
-
begins robbing the rebellus. You know who robs the rebel? First,
-
the devil, But ultimately, do you know who gets the
-
last laugh In the final final robbing of the rebellus?
-
God when he takes from you joy and peace and
-
hope and love and says, depart from me, Ye that
-
chose to rob me of what I said was in
-
order and what was natural, and now I rob you
-
of your own soul. People sit at house rather than
-
going to the House of God. They listen on spreaker
-
to every single service, and they don't even realize they
-
robbed themselves with so much. The natural man and the
-
natural woman. They choose their sins over the will of God,
-
the word of God. It means nothing to the rebel.
-
You know. That's what happened to a third of the
-
angels in that celestial city. One third of the angels
-
followed Lucifer. I've never heard a preacher preaching on this,
-
but I'm fixing to preach it to you. Lucifer despised
-
the son, and I made this clear in a sermon
-
not long ago titled Lucifer in his Leash. And I
-
have heard from thousands of holiness people, through representatives of them,
-
people that said they had never realized Lucifer is not
-
the polar opposite of Jesus. Lucifer is not the opposite
-
of Jesus. Lucifer is not the opposite of Jesus. He
-
was a coequal to Gabriel and Michael, who are way
-
beneath the feet of Jesus. But Lucifer despised the sun.
-
You've never heard this preach, but I'm gonna preach it
-
to you, just like a lot of holiness of Pentecost.
-
Of people have felt like Lucifer is Jesus's equal, his counterpart,
-
his office, that he is not. But Lucifer had a
-
problem with the Son, the Word himself. In the beginning
-
was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
-
the Word was God. In the garden of Eden, that
-
rebel came in to the garden of Eden, he said,
-
hath God said, the creator of the cosmos spoke in
-
the very beginning, He spoke the Word, and the world
-
was framed by the Word. The devil hates the Word.
-
He hates the Son of God. He hates the Word
-
of God. This is the word of God, this is
-
the revealed word of God. The devil hates order, the
-
devil hates the Word. And Moses is despised because he's
-
speaking to millions of people over and over again, repeatedly.
-
What the Word said. Amen, if some of you have
-
had a problem with what the Word said, it's not
-
the word of Jeremy Howell. It's the word of God.
-
In fact, when you reject the word, you're not rejecting
-
the words of Moses or the apostle Paul, her brother Nathaniel.
-
You're rejecting God himself. You told Thembaha, pray for a
-
husband if you want one, pray for a wife you
-
need one. When the apostle Paul said that woman wouldn't
-
be saved through chau Ben, you know more than.
-
The apostle paw a child. Here's your answer.
-
You know why the women of this world are so
-
vain because they're not interested in motherhood.
-
They're interested in an hour glass figure.
-
What's in accordance with the word of God, Dolly, pardon
-
an hour glass figure, or adopt some kids even if
-
you were childbearing. Adopt some kids, Dolly, and lose that
-
hour glass figure and get a milk junk figure and
-
raise some babies to.
-
The glory of God.
-
Dolly, the devil robbed her of so much with that
-
beautiful voice that she has. The devil stole from her
-
so much whenever laid in life. Now she's merchandises and
-
marketers to put have a Holly Dolly Christmas home merchandise.
-
Does that not seem sacrilegious. Does that not seem blasphemous?
-
Does that not seem idolatrous? There is no way I
-
would let anybody put Jeremy Howell's name on anything during
-
the time of the christ Child's birth and the celebration thereof.
-
I'm telling you that Devil's gonna rob from Dolly right
-
up until they close the lid on.
-
Her casket door.
-
The debel is going to steal, he's going to kill,
-
and he's going to destruck. Come on, now, that's what
-
he's doing to the celebrity. That's what he's doing to
-
the prince. That's what he's doing to the pauper. They
-
don't even realize they're losing so much. I said, there
-
listen so much the charismatic worship team that chooses not
-
to live holy. They miss out when they lose out
-
on the annoughting of God when they substitute an atmosphere
-
that is literally incense impermeated by the Holy Ghost with
-
the neon moon, which literally means a pale yellow or
-
pale green or pale red lights. The other day I
-
was preaching, I said, the neon moon has no business
-
whatsoever being raised in our churches. The next day, we
-
were eating at a restaurant in some country. Crooner said something,
-
but the neon moon sis the house, said Jeremy, I
-
never heard that phrase till you used it. And she said,
-
I never knew what it meant. And she said, I
-
promise I ain't been listening to the lyrics.
-
Of that song.
-
She said, But I now know what you mean by
-
the neon moon doesn't belong in the house of God,
-
I said, the neon moons. All them alcohol signs on
-
the windows of this establishment cords light, butdweiser, all them
-
neon glowing signs.
-
That's the neon moon.
-
Kids.
-
And I'm gonna tell you there's been a lot of
-
people supping at the bar in front of the kneon
-
moon because they refuse to do things God's way. There's
-
a lot of people medicating for mental illness because they
-
refuse to do things God's way. There's a lot of
-
people experiencing the ox go to the rear because they're
-
kicking against the pricks.
-
Are y'all with me?
-
And I'm telling you the one they're kicking against is Jesus.
-
Jesus said, it's good for a man not to be alone.
-
I didn't say that, But that don't mean you get
-
online and type in www. Mailorderbride dot com.
-
Twist what I'm saying.
-
Some of you loved to twist and praestialize or rest
-
the scriptures. Don't you to fit your gender. And this morning,
-
millions upon millions of people chose not to go to
-
the House of God. Yet we say we're one nation
-
under God, Brother Philip, I got so much more to preach,
-
But I wonder if it's falling on deaf ears because
-
our text says you have been rebellous against the Lord
-
from the day that I knew you. We started preaching
-
against certain things years ago.
-
It took some of you five, ten, fifteen.
-
Years to change, not all of you, but one or
-
two of you. It didn't matter if we talked on it,
-
We preached on it, we had Bible study on it.
-
Look at that Hebrews ten twenty five the manner of
-
some is Why is this the manner of some, Brother Nathaniel,
-
It's because of the gross sin of rebellion. You have
-
been rebellious against the Lord from the day that I
-
knew you. These are the words of their spiritual leader
-
and advisor, the one that has been with them since
-
they were infants. Basically, Moses is saying that some of
-
them have been this way their entire life. As the
-
manner of some is. We just expect you to struggle.
-
We just expect you to swim upstream while everybody else
-
is going upstream. We just expect you not to show
-
up at the church getting together.
-
We just expect you.
-
If you're asked to bring angeled eggs aka deviled eggs,
-
you're gonna bring swap cabbage. We just expect you because
-
it's your nature.
-
In other words, you have been this way for very
-
long time. Years ago, somebody told me.
-
Bill Houston very angrily, said well I always been this way.
-
And brother Bill said, well you better start changing right
-
now lest you die this way. What will that take?
-
I'm afraid of me preaching this hard, calls me to
-
rupture internally, and pulls the blood with a pile up
-
on the floor. I said, pour it out of my mouth.
-
Some of you would come to my funeral and say
-
he was a good man. Yeah, died trying to get you. Then,
-
Bay what God said, thank you, Holy ghost? Is it
-
recorded in Numbers chapter number fourteen at Kodesh Bernia, the
-
children of Israel, just so big, God, how many kandesh
-
bernis are you gonna have.
-
At Cardashparnia.
-
What it was a ten or fourteen day journey turned
-
into a forty year vicious cycle.
-
You're being robbed. If you need it, pray specifically for it.
-
A year and a half ago, I told you, I said,
-
the blind beggar prayed specifically, and some of you include,
-
Brother Nathaniel told me, said I now praise specifically. Yesterday
-
when Renee was having that allergic reaction and going into
-
allergic shock, Brother Nathaniel, after thirty minutes of trying to
-
calm it down and caress and hold her, he came.
-
He said, Pastor, I'm going to the MS station. I
-
gotta get her to an EMT. He said, but first,
-
would you come over here and pray for her. He
-
released his daughter and she jumped into my arms and
-
she just squeezed me and I held her and I
-
held her like a papa would do, and I prayed,
-
and I said, God, would you healer, would you do
-
only what you can do?
-
Papa can't do this, but you can. And I want
-
you to know.
-
No sooner than we let the church know to pray
-
than we were praying.
-
God begin to turn that situation around. Oh, it pays
-
to do.
-
Things God's way, I said, Oh, the rewards.
-
I'm doing things God's way.
-
For whatever reason, these people chose to be disobedient. They
-
were predictable at this very thing. Everyone knew they're gonna
-
be insubordinate to the commandments of the Lord. Pastor said,
-
all your sisters, come up here and meet with the
-
first lady. Oh, suddenly I need to go to McDonald's.
-
You're reaping what you've sown, and the only way to
-
reverse the curse is to start being obedient. I have
-
received significant wage increases because I did something from my
-
employer that seemed to be beneath my pay grade, because
-
he was testing me to see if I had a
-
servant's heart. You know, the grounds for termination, that's the
-
best grounds for termination, is in subordination. You told them
-
to do it, and they didn't do it. You don't
-
have to give them any more warnings. You don't have
-
to give them a warning, no, two, three warnings immediately gone.
-
You get up there and you pulled in weeds the fires.
-
The manager of the thrist store would be the best
-
looking building around. It'd have a fresh coat of paint
-
on it. There'd be mulching. If it don't matter who
-
paid for it, I'd pay for it. I'm a preacher
-
now I'm telling you you can see it a mile away.
-
Because the blessings of the Lord are on no obedient,
-
Brother Jeremiah, this one won't be listening to repeatedly. Like
-
the frontline call has been a Sister Wooton's cried.
-
The warriors are praying.
-
Spirit of God is moving. Rebellion is rejecting God's word.
-
But when we are in Christ, we have a new nature.
-
The altars are bearing right now, Brother Jesse, I thank
-
God for this past Sunday night. I thank God for
-
the way the authors filled up. I thank God for
-
how many people were touched. Look like every daughter in
-
law I had thank the Lord was praying. Great sisters
-
and brothers everywhere praying, Great Brother Samuel stare it having
-
a life change moment. But right now I'm preaching to
-
the rebellous, and it's a whole different thing altogether. When
-
you're pulling for those that you know, you can tell
-
them what God said and they simply are not going
-
to do it.
-
The Lord not come to the thing.
-
He not rejected me at all. Came the.
-
Mercy of calling me, but fast and they'll tell me
-
about face away from me.
-
I say, this day, this day is today.
-
Gods, it is not that good that you all.
-
But it is in my word that I have.
-
I say to me this day.
-
It's not those same that the treasure.
-
That you say the same? You aren't.
-
Why sound he my hospital?
-
Why is that you have I stay a home?
-
Call?
-
But my count.
-
My mama.
-
I feel that that's what I've been preaching, the new nature.
-
It's got to change. Extreme consequences are to follow in
-
the very near future to the pastor that refuses to
-
preach the word and deliver the whole counsel of God.
-
There will be consequences for that. For the one that
-
God tells to preach the truth and nothing but the truth,
-
and they choose to do otherwise, there will be severe,
-
extreme consequences for that action and for choosing their way
-
over the will of God. To the parent, to the
-
child that chooses their will over God's will, you need
-
a change in nature. He's robbing you. The thief Lord
-
is stealing from you. It's what he came to do
-
is to steal.
-
The word from you.
-
Rebellion is essentially pride and unbelief. It's saying I know
-
better than God. Right now, somebody's heart needs to break
-
and you need to say, God, give me a new nature.
-
Saul was chosen by God. Saul was special to the Lord,
-
but for whatever reason, and that reason is rebellion. Saul
-
did things his way. And if you're not careful, you'll
-
walk out of this building right now doing things your way.
-
I told what.
-
I hear the holy ghosts say, thy actions have displeased me.
-
That actions have displeased me.
-
And there's been some preachers and evangelists that have done
-
contrary to what was normal and what was ethical and
-
what was right and what was wise because they just
-
wanted to do things their way. They chose to do
-
things their way. Their heart told them, don't do that,
-
but they chose to do it their way. What about it?
-
Right now? What is God's road for you? Where is
-
it leading you? Where does God desire to take you?
-
Have thine own way, Lord, have thine own way. Mold
-
me and make me master today, Change me, change me, Lord,
-
Don't let me stay the same. I really do want
-
to be like you, and to think there's people sitting
-
at home on Sunday night midweek service thinking that God's
-
okay with them not gathering. I'm on tune in. There's
-
people should be making a drive. I still feel the
-
surge of the Holy Ghost in my spirit when I
-
kneel to pray. It's so easy to say, change me, Lord,
-
to be just like you. But when you begin to
-
mold and make life again, to say change me becomes
-
harder to do.
-
Lord. I have to say, I'm not satisfied today.
-
Lord. I want to be closer to you. So if
-
somehow you see that there's a change that I need,
-
then Lord, change me to be more like you. Change me, Lord,
-
Change me. Lord, don't let me stay the same, for
-
I want to be more like you. Take my life,
-
make my life all that you want it to be. Lord,
-
Please change me.
-
Change me.
-
Dear Lord, how about it? Are you willing to be molded?
-
God's been telling some of it. You better praise him
-
and worship him, Seek him, call upon him, lift up
-
his name, praise him.
-
Jesus.
-
We may not say you're lying, but we're saying it's
-
a bunch of balogney. It's twisted, it's embellished, and it's
-
not the total truth. And I'm asking you be truthful
-
and honest with God. Why have you been this way
-
since we've known you? Since the house crying, she's feeling it.
-
Our elders are weeping, they're praying, they're speaking in tongues,
-
they're in the spirit. I've always been this way. You
-
ain't getting it, are you. That's not a compliment. That's
-
not a good thing. You've always been that way is
-
not a compliment. What we need is about a ten
-
minute prayer meeting right now or longer. I was gonna
-
preach on white tuxedo, but God changed it for you
-
this morning. And you heard what the Holy Ghost said.
-
It's on your end. God still plans to use you,
-
but you had to do it his way. God planned
-
for them to go into Promised Land, but they had
-
to do it his way,
