Your Soul Has A Song - Bro Caleb Roadcap 12-28-2025

Certainly thankful to be in God's house this morning. Amen,

you can be turned into Luke chapter one, and then

we're also going to look into Job chapter one. Certainly

thankful for the opportunity this morning to preach. Certainly would

have rather heard our pastor being away for so long,

being on our trip. Just really missed being in service,

and I was really looking forward to coming into Sunday service.

I was praying last night, praying over the weekend, just

really looking forward to coming in hearing and preach. But

believe in God to help him recover soon. Amen, Luke

chapter one, and then we'll look over in Job chapter

one as well. Luke Chapter one, Verse forty six says,

and Mary said, my soul doth magnify the Lord, and

my spirit hath rejoiced in God, my Savior, for he

hath regarded the lowest state of his handmade for behold.

From henceforth all generations shall call me blessed, for He

that is mighty hath done to me great things, and

holy is his name. Real quick while you're flipping over

to Job chapter one, Psalm twenty three and six says,

surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days

of my life, and I will dwell in the house

of the Lord forever.

Job chapter one.

We're gonna look at the last two verses there, verses

twenty one and twenty two. Actually this beginning verse twenty.

Then Job arose and rent his mantle, and shaved his head,

and fell down upon the ground and worshiped, and said, naked,

came I out of my mother's womb, And naked shall

I return thither the Lord gave, and the Lord have

taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. In

all this Job sin not nor charge God foolishly. Hopefully

the Lord help us tie this in together here this morning.

If you all pray, Lord, we ask for your hell.

Dear God. Lord, we thank you for your presence we've

already felt. Lord.

We thank you for your spirit that has been made manifest.

God here today, Lord, we pray that you go with us.

Lord that Lord we say something this morning that'll touch

a heart, touch your soul. Help us God and me

with us and these altars. God, Lord, for that's what

it's all about. Touch our pastor right now. We pray

be with them and his wife God, all those that

are out this morning. God will give you the praise,

the honor, and the glory here this morning.

Hallelujah, hallelujah.

How many there's two different sayings they they saund almost

the same. There's two different sayings. How many have you

ever heard somebody say, check your check your tone, or

change your tone. I've heard that several times growing up,

watch your tone. But how many people have also heard

this saying? Speaking normally you're speaking about somebody else. You're

saying they changed their tune, the way that their outlook

on something, the way they thought about something. We would

say they changed their tune. So I want you to

keep those two, those two sayings in your mind this morning.

If the Lord had help me, I want to preach

on your soul has a song, Amen, Your soul has

a song.

So we're gonna begin here in luke Luke.

We're all familiar with coming out of this Christmas season.

I'm sure we all read the read the account maybe

several times throughout the month of December, and a familiar

character we saw there was Mary, right, we we call

her the Virgin Mary. All that's what she was at

the beginning. Amen, We're all very familiar with the character

of Mary, and oftentimes around this time of the year,

the December time of the year, we talk about the

character and the manner of life and the person that

Mary was, who she would have been for God to

trust her with Carrie and the Son of God, Emmanuel,

God himself. Amen, we would all agree that she was

a woman of God, a God fearing woman, a holy

woman for God to entrust her in this way. However,

a lot of times we don't really go beyond that

too much. We talk for before God moved and when

God's promise came to fruition, but we don't talk about

how she might have lived after that. And Psalm forty six,

it begins something called My Bible titles it Mary's joyful song.

Your Bible probably says it's Mary's song. This is a

song I believe She went to her to go see Elizabeth,

and she's talking to Elizabeth, and Elizabeth rejoices, the baby

leaps in her womb, and then Mary.

Begins to sing this song, if you would. And some

points in this song of hers, she begins in forty

six and forty seven that we've read she has a

heart of worship, and then in verse.

Forty eight she expresses her humility. She expresses, behold the

handmaid of the Lord. And this is something that we

also saw when the Angel came to her. She expresses

her humility towards God. And then in verse forty nine,

the part and the song goes on some more, but

in forty nine where we stopped, it talks about it

reflects on God's might and his power.

Amen.

Now, I truly believe that this song in Mary's heart,

this song in Mary's soul, that it was a song

that she carried since she was a little girl.

Amen.

I believe, I truly believe that this is something that

her parents instilled in her. And we would all agree

the character of Mary, that this song is something that

it's the tune, the overarching tune of her life and

her heart, her true heart's belief towards.

God since she was a little girl. Amen.

But when she gets older, and what does it look

like after the promise has come into fruition, after the

blessing has been given, after she's received a place of promotion,

if you would, what does her life look like at

that point?

Amen? If we flip over, if we flip over into

John chapter two, there's a very familiar account where Jesus

and Mary they're at a wedding together and the wine

runs out, and Mary goes to him and she says,

in my words, she says, Jesus, they're out of wine.

We need you to do something.

And Jesus is like, well, it's not my time, it's

not my hour. I'm not you know, to do these

things yet. But Mary goes to the servants and she says,

whatsoever he saith.

Under you do it. Mary's song did not change despite

her promotion. Amen. Mary's song did not change despite her promise.

In fact, she goes and she continues to tell people, Hey,

whatever he says to you, be obedient to it. Whatever,

submit yourself to him, and do all that he tells

you to do, and you'll receive the blessing.

Amen.

How many people though that after they come to church

and they pray, and they pray, and a man of God,

a minister will come and they'll lay hands on them,

they'll give them a promise they'll receive a word from

the Lord. Sometimes they'll stick around to that promise comes

into fruition. But how many people we see that when

God moves for them, instead.

Of remaining humble like Mary?

Did they turn around and they think that there's somebody

and they walk out.

Amen.

How many times that you see them really seek for

something and God blesses them and then their prayer life changes,

their church attendance changes.

Amen. And it comes so shortly after receiving the promise

or a blessing from the Lord. Amen. So how is

that for you personally? How is that for me? What

is my soul's song, the song that my soul sings,

the anthem, my prayer, my belief, my knowledge towards God?

What does that look like? Is it? Is it steady? Amen?

Is it steady? Married?

And change her tune towards Jesus. She was so excited

there at the beginning. You know, we get so excited.

Oh God spoke to me. God told me something. God

promised me something. But does our two change a little

bit up the road when we received it. Now we

think we're somebody and now say, you know, we receive salvation.

The preacher says, hey, in order to keep your salvation,

you better do this, and we say, oh no, it's mine.

I prayed for that, I got that. Now my tune

is changing. I don't want to be that kind of

person here this morning. Amen, hallelujah.

We're all familiar with the story of David.

As we move on, the three characters on look at

this morning, Marry, David and Job. They all had a song.

They all had ways that God was moving for them.

And then things changed and we see that they were consistent. Amen,

We're all familiar with David, the shepherd boy to the

victorious King.

Amen.

David's song it remained the same. So many things happened,

yet it remained the same. He was a man after

God's own heart. If there was anything that could summarize

David in his life from the beginning to the end,

he was a man after.

God's own heart. Truly.

The lyrics and the lines of his songs, we know

that he wrote many, many songs. There's many songs we

know him as a songwriter.

Truly. The lyrics and the lines may have suggested a

roller coaster.

Of experiences, but overall, the tune of his song remained

the same. He trusted in the Lord, He believed in

the Lord his God. He loved the Lord his God,

and he was dependent on the Lord his God.

Amen. At some point David expressed that his heart's desire

was to dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Hey man, brother Nathaniel talked.

He talked about the table in the presence of his

If anybody found themselves in the midst of persecution, apparel

from friends and foes alike, somebody that had the rug

pulled out of him time and time again, somebody that

had to pull the daggers out of his back time

and time again.

If there was anybody like that, it would have been David.

If there was anybody who could have changed his song

and said, maybe mercy and goodness aren't quite following me

every day, If there was anybody that might have had

a right to change the words to his song, it

would have been David.

But you know what he chose to write instead.

Despite everything, he goes over and he pins on twenty seven,

The Lord is my Light and my salvation, And whom

shall I fear. If there was anybody that could have

feared for his life, it was David. Amen, he said,

the Lord is the strength of my life, and whom

shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies

and my foes came upon me to eat up my flesh.

They stumbled and fell though, and hoe shouldn't camp against me.

My heart shall not fear the war should rise up

against me. In this will I be confident? One thing

have I desired of the Lord? That will I seek

after that.

I may dwell in the house of the Lord all

the days of my life and behold the beauty of

the Lord, to inquire in his temple. Amen.

He goes on and say that the Lord will hide him,

that the Lord will be the rock, and he will

set him upon that rock.

Amen. Amen. If anybody had.

The opportunity, and it goes on to the verse that

the young people quoted this morning, I didn't realize that

that's what they'd be quoting.

He says.

When thou saidest seeking my face, my heart's said, into

thee thy face, Lord, will I seek. If anybody could

have said, Hey, things aren't going the way I plan.

Things aren't going the way they used to. Things, aren't

you know them songs that I wrote, I.

Don't feel like they apply now. The lyrics might have changed.

Amen, But his tune, the overarching zune of his song,

the overarching the message. If you would remain the same, Amen, David.

He wanted his horse's desire was to do on the

house lord. His horse desire we know from the scriptures

the passage was that he could build the tabernacle. However,

later on he was unable to complete that project. But

we see in the I don't believe I'm marked here

this morning. But he goes and he his son. He

tells his son, hey, this is what I want to do.

And Solomon comes and he says, hey, this was in

my father's heart. And despite the wars, despite the running,

despite the battles, despite the times he had a flee,

David was building up and say up and preparing for

that day that his heart's desire would be fulfilled.

Amen.

He kept pushing towards that. And can I say David's

son knew what was in his father's heart. Solomon knew

exactly what his father's heart's desire was this morning. So

if I could just real quick, I know we don't

have this issue, but just putting it out there in

the message. Parents, your children know, if the your children

know if your tune changes between services, Amen, children, your

pastor and your parents know if your tune changes between

Hugh's camp and you service, and can be and in revival.

They know if your tune is constantly changing, or if

your soul song is steady with the heart towards God.

Amen.

There was one of many, many reasons for David to

fear for his life.

Amen.

And our final person of inches this morning is Job.

We're all so familiar with the story of Job. Immediately

just it just begins. Job was a great man, a

righteous man, holy man, feared the Lord, love the Lord,

did everything he could, and all the afflictions just begin

to come, one after another. And so we read there

in chapter one. Towards the end, Job arose here in

his mantle, he shaved his head, he fed down upon

the ground, and he worshiped. Sometimes we growing up in church,

being in church, being around the people of God, being

a Christian, it's easy when things begin to go wrong, things.

Begin, no matter how heavy they are, no matter how

bad they are, a.

Lot of times we can encourage ourselves and say, hey,

I'll trust in the Lord. Hey, I believe God will

bring me out of this. Hey, I know God can

move and just do wondrous things. I know he can

be a God of comfort. But what is our tune

and what is our song? And what is our attitude

when we're twenty three chapters in, when the story begins

on a rough note and it just continues to just

get worse and worse, and you have people in your ear,

and you have maybe the spirits or the devil or

whatever negative influences in your ear saying hey, hey, maybe

you're wrong. You've done this, and you're trying to maintain

your integrity. What does it look like for us when

we're twenty three chapters in. Here's what Job said. He said, Behold,

I go forward. He is not there backward. I cannot

perceive him.

On the left hand, where he does work, but I

cannot behold him. He hideth himself.

On the right hand, I cannot see him, But he

knoweth the way that I take.

When he hath tried me, I shall come forth as.

Gold my foot. Hath held his steps his way. Have

I kept and not declined? Neither have I gone back

from the commandments of his lips. I have esteemed the

words of his mouth more than my necessary food. This

morning again, brother Nathaniel, he ex ordered on it so wonderfully,

test fut on so wonderfully.

There's so many.

Things even now right now, the signases all the things

that can encomp us about and you know and get

us down in different times. Way now saying that you

give up on God, now saying you know, but you

just physically you're down, just lots of things.

Amen.

But we can see from these characters that no matter

what comes, if it's promised promotion and position, they won't

change the tune of a Mary.

Amen. If it's prestige, power, or even persecution, they won't

alter the song of a David this morning. If it's peril,

and if it's insurmountable pressure, it will not stop the

worship of a job this morning. Amen.

And if there's anything that I can leave you with

this morning, life's events they might add a verse, but

don't let them change your chorus.

Your soul has a song this morning. There's something that God.

Your soul is a song. You were made to worship God. Amen.

We were made and created in His image to serve

Him and a love him. And every soul has a song,

Every soul has a story. And I pray that life's events,

whatever they be, if it's the highs.

Or the lows, I pray that all it would do

is just add words to a verse, but that you

wouldn't let anything affect your chorus of your love towards God. Amen.

So what is your soul's song this morning as brother

Jesse comes around?

Are you stable and consistent? Are you stable and consistent?

Are you some committed and committed Amen? The song that

was on my heart this morning as I got up,

Just real quick, gonna read the words.

This is what the song of a saint should be

every day, Amen.

No matter what comes and what goes, no matter what

life looks like, Page three thirty nine, Glory, Hallelujah. I

shall not be moved. Anchored in Jehovah, I shall not

be moved, just like a tree planted by the water.

I shall not be moved.

In His love abiding, I shall not be moved, and

in Him I'm confiding. I shall not be.

Moved, just like a tree planted by the water. I

shall not be moved though all hell where do I

sell me. I shall not be moved because Jesus will

not fail me. I shall not be moved like a

tree planted by the water.

I shall not be moved though the tempest rages.

I shall not be mo because I'm on the rock

of ages and I shall not be moved.

It doesn't matter what the storm looks like. It doesn't

matter what the attack may look like, the war. It

doesn't matter what the promotion and the blessing and the

promise may look like. May your song stay steady, because

your soul has a song. And one day we're gonna

cast those crowns at Jesus'.

Feet and we're gonna sing a song. Amen, We're gonna

sing a song. What's your so anthem gonna be? If

you need your soul song changed, you can change it

for the better. You can say I'm redeemed.

Amen. If your song isn't what it should be, then

you can get it changed this morning.

But if you find your tune changing ever so slightly,

I pray that you would call on God and ask

him to help you. Amen, And he can inspire you

and help you this morning.
