A Tight-Fisted Hand At The Grindstone - Pastor J. D. Howell 1-11-2026

Second Corinthians, chapter number nine and verse number eight. Brother

Nathaniel Daniel chapter number three and verse number seventeen, My brother,

if it be so, our God whom we serve, is

able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and

he will deliver us out of thine hand old King, Amen,

how many of you believe our God is able? Look

at your neighbor and say, hey, neighbor, God is able.

And Brother Jesse Mark chapter number ten, verse number twenty one.

Please, then Jesus beholding him loved him and said unto

him one thing, thou lackest, go thy way, Sell whatsoever

thou hast, and give to the poor. Thou shalt have

treasure in heaven, and come take up the cross and

follow me.

Brother Nathaniel read about three hebrew Men who gave their

very best to the Lord in the middle of a

hard time. Brother Jesse just read of a rich young

ruler who wouldn't give in a good time. Again, the

three hebrew Men gave in hard times, while the rich

young ruler wouldn't give in good times. Let's stand for

the reading of our golden texts. Sec At Corinthians, chapter

number nine, Verse number eight. And the Bible says, and

God is able to make all grace abound towards you,

that ye always having all sufficiency, and all things may

abound to every good work. Could we pray, Heavenly Father,

we love and we praise you. We thank you for

the opportunity to be here in the House of the

Lord today. I thank you for this Sunday school hour

that we had. I thank you for our teachers and

our Sunday school superintendent in the Sunday school program has

been a blessing to us throughout the years. Lord, help

each one the upcoming days. I pray this morning during

the worship power, during this preaching, I pray that you

would set a guard at my mouth and help me

to say the things you would have me to say,

nothing more or less than on the ears of this

thy people, that they might hear what it is the

Spirit of God says under the church through the preach word. Lord,

let these sayings go below the shoulders and them saturate

the spirit, the soul, and the heart. I thank you

for this. God, help us to be hearers and doers

of your word. We'll be careful to give you praise, honor,

and glory in Jesus' name in the church said hey, man,

looking at your neighbor again, say hey, neighbor, did you

hear me? I said, Our God is able, Amen. I

want to preach a message the Holy Ghost titled a

tight fisted hand at the grindstone, A tight fisted hand

at the grindstone, all right, just found in a New

Testament book of the Holy Bible, the Book of Second Corinthians,

is a Pauline epistle. In verse number four of chapter

number nine of Second Corinthians, we find only a few

verses of many verses Paul gave to the church on

the topic of giving. The Church of Corinthian believers certainly

were not ignorant concerning this topic. In fact, in the

Book of Romans, I believe somewhere around the fifteenth chapter,

you will find it said by the apostle Paul, concerning

the Macedonian Church, that they were mindful to give to

those that were impoverished. Those believers are saints that were

doing without. There was a group of gentile believers. I

believe it says in the Book of Romans that it

was the Macedonian believers and the believers of a KaiA

that had a burden to help the least, the lost,

and the lonely, even amongst members of the family of Christ,

their fellow brothers and sisters in the land of Jerusalem

and Judea. It's hard for me to imagine that people

that were the followers of Jesus Christ, disciples of Christ,

would be suffering in the way that they were suffering,

that their gentile brothers and sisters would feel the need

to give to a collection in order to help meet

their financial needs. In fact, you could call this a

relief effort for the remnant, those that had sought out refuge,

those that had become a Christians. There was a financial

relief effort that the Apostle Paul was saying was very needful.

And there were people that had a mind to work

for the Lord, and there were other people that had

a mind to give towards the work of the Lord,

both prayerfully and financially. In this ninth chapter of sac

of Corinthians we read of the churches of Macedonia. The

Apostle Paul made it clear to every believer of every

age that their example in given is one that can

be followed. When we read verse number six, we understand

it is the nature of some people to sow sparingly

and reap sparingly as a consequence, while others sow and

reap bountifully. I have witnessed that in my pastoral ministry

of twenty years, that people are natured differently according to

their given Charles Dickens, speaking of the nature of his character,

Ebenezer Scrooge, described his character like this, Oh, but he

was at fisted hand, a squeeze and wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous, old, sinner,

hard and sharpest flint from which no steel had overstruck out,

generous fire, secret and self contained and solitary. As an oysture,

I've seen people that are definitely just like that, people

that are in the house of God that have no

concern whatsoever to the condition of their brother or sister

financially or spiritually.

That is the problem with most people. That's why they

have a.

Problem serving the Lord and worshiping him in spirit and

in truth, because they don't even know how to fulfill

the very law of Christ by bearing their brother's burdens.

That is not a New Testament theme topic or idea.

We know that Cain, the first son of that wonderful

creation of God, the union of Adam and Eve, Cain

did not feel it his business to be his brother's keeper.

Now I want you to know here today we will

be following a mental outline. We'll be considering that three

hebrew men gave in a foreign land, while in captivity,

during the hardest times of their life, and as far

as we know, there was no relief fund intended for them,

while this rich young ruler we will be considering had

no desire whatsoever to give of his abundance in good times.

I know that there's people here in this building this

morning that came to give God more than their problems.

They came to give the Lord praise.

And I believe that people that are full of gratitude,

the grateful people, are very thankful for any and everything that.

The Lord has done.

In verses number one and two of Second Corinthians, Chapter

number nine, we find a record of some who were

eager to share and bear share with their fellow Christians,

and to bear their fellow Christians burdens.

Does that fit you today?

But verses number three and four tells us when the

Macedonian believers came with Paul, they found things differently than they.

Expected to find them.

Apostle Paul had told these Macedonian believers about the generosity

of the belief within the Christian Church, only to fine

an element that was present, to his surprise and to

the surprise of the ambassadors of the Macedonian Church, that

they did not have a heart to give. I want

to tell every person in this building this morning that

God does not want to pry something out of the

rich people's hands. God did not want to pry anything

out of the rich younger ruler's hands, Nor does he

want to pry anything out of the hands of those

who feel that they are rich, increase with goods and

have need of nothing. You see the Lord that wanted

this rich younger ruler to bring a glory to him.

How could this rich young rule bring glory to the

Lord by being the Lord's conduit?

You see?

The Lord intended to bless the impoverissom, and he warned

that rich young ruler to be the conduit from which

the blessings would throw. And that's the same thing the

Apostle Paul was telling.

These New Testament believers.

The New Testament believers of the Early Church, and that

God expects you to be mindful of your brothers and

sisters that are in the very core of Christianity, those

that are being martyred, those that are being persecuted, those

that are losing life, limb and real estate. You need

to consider what they are going through. And I want

you to be a chair on or a conduit of

the blessings of the law Lord. And then Paul begins

to remind them that God is able to sustain them.

It seems to me to be a crying shame that

the apostle Paul would have to give this exhortation or

admonishment in the middle of this a sermon or this

writing of him telling people you ought to love to give,

You ought to have a desire to give a cheerfulia.

But God is having to address people that knew they

themselves had in needs and they were afraid to give

to others because of their needs.

I learned a long.

Time ago in ministry, especially pastoral ministry, that sometimes we

have to overlook certain needs of our own and look

to the needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ

in order to be blessed personally.

And in order for them to be blessed.

I want you to know that when these three Hebrew

young men were exiled or carried into captivity in the

land of Bitterness, they were not nursing on the bottle

of bitterness. When they were exiled to the land of Babylon,

and they were not nursing on the bottle of her bitterness.

They did not sit there and wither away doing nothing,

but they use what God had given them. They had

been carried away because of their talents and their abilities,

and their knowledge and their skill sets.

And you know what, when they got.

In Babylon, they figured how to make the adjustments needed

in order to succeed in Babylon. That I want to

propose to you today what God dealt with me there

in the night, that these men were nothing more than

a pipeline from their homeland the Babylon. They not only

carried their talents and their abilities and come on their

prestige and their position and their pre eminence as leaders

of Jerusalem, as leaders of the people of God, but

they carried it right on into the land of Babylon.

I want you to know that the kingdom of Neba

Conners was blessed, and because these young men were not

afraid to give from that which they had been given.

I learned a long time ago, if you were going

to receive of the Lord, you have to give. I've

seen evangelicistic ministries of suffer because that evangelist was focused

on himself and his wife and.

His children, and he never gave to the Lord.

He never gave to the Lord's worker, and he never

gave to those in the communities of which he ministered.

And he walked into.

The House of God with his pockets open and his

hand now expecting forgivers like.

You and I to give to them.

But they had no dee hour whatsoever to give back.

Can I tell you an evangelist tithing to a host

pastor is not giving back, I said, an evangelist tithing to.

And a host pastor is not giving back.

I wonder why it is they expect you to give,

Why is it they expect you to be blessed, but

they themselves.

Will not give back.

Talking about giving baka into that community, that church family,

going out there to the highways and the hedges. Any

preacher that preachers in the House of God that calls

himself a full time preacher, how to be found a

couple of times a week by day standing in the

streets of that neighboring town, or of that town where

a holy revivals, spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.

I'm trying to preach over sickness here today. I've got

a burden. I need God to help me deliver what

it gave me. But so many people they go to

house the House of God, whether parishion or preacher, and

they have that GIMMI gimm gimme jimmy mentality. But brother Jesse,

I wonder where's the benevolence? I wonder where is the generosity?

Whereas I'm blessed to be able to give today? What

about that woman that came to church, and as Jesus

eased over there and began to watch her in her giving.

She did not give out of her abundance. She did

not give in the middle of a great time. Financially,

she gave in the middle of a hard time. And

the Bible said that she threw in those two mites.

And I could tell you this. They probably made little

noise compared to the great, great gifts of the others

that were present.

But Jesus said.

This woman has given more than anybody else in the

house because she gave out of her need. This woman's

trust and confidence was in the right place, because when

you're willing to give all, you have to have total,

utmost confidence and trust that he is Jehovah Gyrah. I'm

telling you that woman knew if I give this an

accordance to the will of God in that voice of

speaking into my heart, to give it like this before

I get home, and Jehovah Gyrah will provide It's sec

a Christians ninety eight. Our text said, this God is

able to make all grace a bound toward you. God

is able to make all grace abound toward you.

Are you all listening?

How many remember that song of the eighties that we

sang in them Church of Gods and Assembly of Gods.

The lyrics with something like this, Jehovah Gyrah, my provider,

his grace is sufficient for me, for me, for me,

Jehovah Girah.

His grace is sufficient for me.

It was during the night last night that I remembered

the lyrics of that song that we sung in the eighties,

and I realized, wait a minute, the inspiration for that song.

I believe the guy's name was Don Mowen or something

like that. The inspiration for that song came out of

our Golden Text, the Second correct in chapter number nine

and verse number eight, the Great Apostle Paul. It's telling

people that we're gonna give, but decided not to that

you should not consider where it's gonna come from. You

should not consider hell it's gonna come. He said, you

know God, he's able to make all grace abound towards you,

and you'll remember the words of our savior. And said,

you just go ahead and you cut consider the lilies

of the field. And then they spoke of a man

that it took good care of that, a man that

was not afraid to give back to God. He said,

Solomon and all of us glory was not raid. As

perfectly as them lilies are as the valley is with

these lilies are listening to me right here today.

This is what I believe. I will preach.

With wisdom through sickness, and I will deplete my strength

because I believe.

He, her Lord is my source of healing. I believe

that He her Lord.

Is my sorcer, her strengthen her Apostle Paul is telling

these people up carect that God is able, and not

only is God abel, he will abound towards you, hey, ye,

always having all sufficiency in all things, may have bound.

Every good work.

What they're saying is, if you elect God, use you,

God will bless you.

And I want to propose to us here this morning.

Ere that was the predicament and the plight of the

rich young ruler. He was not willing to be christ conduit.

I'm telling you there's too many people that's tightfisted to grindstone,

like Charles Dickens described of Emberoniza Scrooge. Too many people

come to church and say, I worked too hard for

this to give it away. When I want you to know,

Jehovah Jirah gave it to you so that you could

be a blessing to somebody else, so you could have

more to give. Jehovah Jirah is both source and supplier

for those in need. He is the one who meets

our needs. He is the one who supplies our needs

according to his riches.

In glory to the pastor.

That is telling us he's unable to grow a church,

he is exactly right he will always be unable to

grow a church. But as soon as he does what

Jesus told him to do, as soon as he goes

into the highways and the hedges and he compels the

loss to come home, and he finds that one little

lost lemb and forgets about depleting the funds of ninety nine,

and he goes out there and depletes himself of sleep

and depletes his church resources. Oh, come on, I'm talking

about church workers that go every week to do something

for the Lord.

People that close out.

Evening after evening being exhausted because of what they've done

for the Lord. Have you ever noticed that to Christian

church workers are the ones that seem to be energized

and rejuvenated. Service after service, it's somebody that's giving, there's

somebody that's pushing, it's somebody that's pulling.

You will never ever be blessed.

You will continue to struggle as long as you hide

behind them four walls and put the dead boats on.

The door and hide from the world.

I'm telling you a Christian since it's the obligation to

help others rather a friend or food. They used to

be said, are you at odds with your neighbor, make

them a peacoan. Do you all remember hearing that? Do

you have odds with your brother? Go by turn and

talk to him before you come and make sacrifice in

the house of God. Oh, nobody wants to give anymore. Oh,

but we need to do it. If we do it,

all the blessings we would reap. Jovah my provider. So

apostle pause telling them, Hey, all you gotta do is

give and support them.

You know, God's gonna supply your needs.

So I'm thirty seven and twenty five, I have been

young and now I'm old. Yet have I not seen

the righteous forsaken? Nor his seed begging bread that versus

pluck from one of the sweet psar Mist of Israel songs,

David the anointed of God. And what I want you

ought to know is annoyingted that God was not telling

the children of God that we will never face suffering, trial, tribulation, persecution,

or hardships. Another biblical author wrote that men born of

woman is a few days and that individual life will

be one full of trouble. David had fled the kingdom

in order to save his life. He had hid for

months in caves his unfamiliar friend had betrayed him, but

he knew the Lord was the source of his strength

and his substance. Paul, like David, felt that believers can

trust the Lord to take care of them and supply

their needs. Our brother read one of our co texts

to Daniel, chapter number three, in verse number seventeen, and

those men said, if it be so, our God, whom

we serve, is able to deliver us from the burning

fire with furnace, and if he will deliver us out

of thine.

Hand, okay, praise Lord.

And you know what, because they did not nurse on

that bottle of bitterness and brokenness, they went ahead and

gave of their talents.

Y'all aren't getting this, are you?

And said in the Word of God that there would

be one that would be handed one talent, and another

that would be handed five, and another would be handed ten.

And sister, how on, there was some that understood and

what I've been given, I need to use in order

not only to have it replenished or replaced, but in

order to grow it.

And if you don't use it, you will lose it.

And we know that that one man unlock so many

in this church, and other churches have done. Said, I

only got one, and that's my little baby and our.

Treasure, hitting it cute, hitting it pretty. This is all

I got. I'm gonna hide it. I'm gonna take care

of it.

I'm gonna make care nobody, he said, I'm gonna make

sure nobody spins in her, nobody squanders at her. And

the reaction of the Lord was not one desirable by Christians.

In fact, he grew very angry, and he said, thank

you very much. I pairapraise, but he said, thank you

very much. I'm gonna give it.

To that one that hath, that one that has given,

that one that has made more.

I'm telling you you can't me a cop fisted hand

at the grindstone. Now, Ebenezer Scrooge. If I was to

give a name of the rich young ruler today, I

would call him Ebenezer. I preach it to you, Ebenezer today.

You can't expect to receive something that when you do

nothing for God, nothing for the Church. God told you

give you a talent. God told you teach you how

to play an instrument, but you do nothing with it.

I said, you do nothing with that?

Amen?

Amen, I feel a hole of ghosts in this place.

Your tendency has to domed nothing but what God gave you.

You know what that wasn't a tendency, a job.

Job said the Lord giveth, not gave, and he taketh away.

Blessed them be the name of the Lord. Listen, whether

God has given it to you or stripping it from you.

If you're a child of God and you trust him

as your source and strength, he will replenish and replace.

He will compensate.

If your attitude is though he slay me, yet I

will trust in him. If your attitude is well, I

came into this world naked, and I'm going to leave naked.

Blessed be the name of the Lord.

If your attitude is I started in this way without

a dime to my name, and I may die in

this way without a dime to my name. And then

God will have some gentile believers that will say, you

know what I heard. They confiscated your properties and your

livestalks and your hurts. But them, gentile believer said, what

you got was real.

What you have is real.

And you know what we are sending a relief fund

to the believers. You know I'm telling you there's a

lot of people that don't believe in giving in many

different ways in the modern Church. But we all know

that the modern church situation is a parallel to the

hebrew Church situation. The Hebrews could tell you right off

hand that God knew people that were blessed by God

had to give to the tabernacle, they had to give

to the ministry, they had to give to the poor.

They had to allow certain parts of the fielder to

be gleaned by the least, the lost, and the lonely.

And that's why I don't understand all of these New

Testament believers in this modern age that feel like they

don't have to do anything concerning giving for the House

of God. The Hebrews service of God back then would

tell you, how can you expect him that'll be a minister,

How can you expect her better be a leapter? How

can you expect her there'll be a sacrificial altar if

you're not giving.

I'm telling you, in this house today, I feel like her.

The more we give her, the more God bless us,

beth all all the spirit of Jehovah, God is in.

This place today. Amen.

It's so comforting to the widow and the widower who

has not the husband's retirement package depositing into her bank

account to trust the Lord to supply her needs. But

at the same time, what a blessing it was to

have a husband that was a servant of the Most God,

that did lay up for his wife that could become

his widow. You know, the Bible said a wise man

would give beyond his own children, he would give to

his children's children. This is speaking of I understand situations

change us, and I also know that situations change, brother Jesse,

there was in Egypt a change of situation.

In fact, there rose a Pharoh.

That knew, not Joseph, that knew how to be old,

bigger barns and store grain in abundance in order to

sustain friend and food. And you know what that came

a day though, when Pharaoh's coughed and said, you know,

I've heard of him. He's in the history books, a

couple of pharaohs. Ago, I mention him, but I don't

know him. What's that to me? But I'm glad that

they knew the god of Joseph. He's not only the

god of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He is the god

of Joseph. He's the God of Jeremy. He's the God

of Jeremiah. He's the God of IRUs. How are y'all

getting this? He is the one that will see to

it that we have exactly what we.

Need when we need it.

Financially and considering deliverance and moves of God, spiritual needs,

physical needs, mental needs. I wonder some times if onsloughts

of Hell aren't thwarted, brother Jesse, because God says, you remember,

they're given to me. Here's your biblical reference for that.

Whenever Peter shook all over after having a heavenly vision,

and he squared his shoulders and cleared his head, he said,

the spirit of God has bidden me to go to Joppa,

to the house of one. You'll remember that he had

been in jop at the house of Simon the Tanner,

and said, the spirit of God has sent me to

the house of Cornelius. And whenever he got there, he

told brother Cornelius, he said, you know your arms have

been heard. God had taken notice, seen and heard the

giving of Cornelius. God saw it when Cornelius, Hey, I'm

just gonna paraphrase right here and use this. Jeremy how imagination.

Whenever Cornelius was looking over his wife's shoulder and she

was stirring some littles, Oh are you old with me?

God saw it when Cornelia said, I've got a little

extra change in my pocket, and I'm gonna go over

there and give it to the House of God. Oh,

come on, now, people used to give to the House

of God. That's why the beggar planted himself at the

gate called beautiful. That's why he anticipated. He knew from experience.

There's some people going in this place.

To know how to give.

But God's men honestly said, silver and gold have ay.

None but such as I have, give I thee.

I'm not talking about monetary things holy and I'm not

talking about mystical things only, but I'm talking about miraculous things.

I'm telling you, you gotta give of your prayer life,

you gotta give of your worshiper, you gotta give up

your praise. There's something you can give. I said that,

there's something up you can do around here. There's something

every child of God can do. If you can't even.

Pay your own bills, how will you have somebody else?

Don't tell everybody this church when you become a millionaire,

when you got one hundred dollars in the bank, you

can do something for God. Take the undergloes, take the hydraulics,

take all the electronics that you want to put on

my vehicle. When you become a millionaire, and do something

for God's people.

You're not able, But I've Texas God is able, and

that's what Paul was telling his Corinthian believers.

If I must stoops a little has to tell you

he is able. I'm a firm believer that God will

allow you to push a hole through the sky through prayer,

trust and confidence. And it may not be golden coinage

raising falling out of heaven, but I'm telling you what

it'll be. The blessings he said he would open the

windows of heaven. One of them blessings includes never perishing

of hunger, never feeling deprived of preaching. There's many perishing

for lack of knowledge. There's a famine for hearing the

word of God. I'm telling you what, you know. What

we get around here on a weekly basis, it's not

because of me, but because of God's goodness and God's people.

I feel like a fat kid at the Golden crowd buffet.

That's how I feel spiritually speak. I tell y'all, walk

into this place and say, all of this is for me.

And you know what they said in that she'd done

it under the least of these my disciples. You've done

it unto me. And any time you do for God,

God does for you. Are y'all listening, I'm telling you,

anytime you do it with the right intentions, the right motives,

and do it for the glory of God, you might

as well be like the rich young ruler. You might

as well pack your money bags stuffing full of every

dime you got it and get out of the.

Princess of God.

But I guarantee you the Holy Ghost scissors for the

little nick in the bottom of the rich young ruler's bagger.

And I'd like to know the rest of the story.

I'd say, mister prince got a pauper, because when you

go out of it without Jesus, you go out of

the Lord. I said, when you go out of without Jesus,

you go out of the Lord.

You're so cool you.

There's so many Ebenezer scrooges saying bah humbug to the

spirit of Jesus Christ to the cheerful giver. But Charles Dickens,

he ended that story talking about Ebenezer realizing the error

of his ways, and Brother Jesse, he was regenerated. He's

a new creature. He was looking not for the least

he could do. Where's the biggest turkey? He started seeing

the needs of Bob cratch It. And that's what I'm

telling you. You ain't opened your eyes yet. You're gonna

marry a woman. You can't even see her needs right now.

You ain't gonna be bit to see him. Then, Ebenezer

Scrooge worked day in, day out with Bob Cratchit.

Right.

I played Little Tim in that play when I was

probably eight years old, and from the time I was

probably thirteen to probably fifteen or sixteen, I played Ebenezer Scrooge.

I can just about recite every line.

Sister Whoot.

And one of the things I remember most is walking

on that stage and peering in was it the house

of Bob Cratchet, and seeing Little Tim because I had

played Little Tim.

On that crutch.

I remember holding that crutch and said, God bless mister

Ebenezer Screech. And then I remember playing the other role.

Of the greedy miser.

Should I say it again, I feel the Holy ghost old.

But he was a tightfisted hen, a squeeze and wrench

and grasp and scrape and clutching, covetous old sinner, hard

and sharp as a flint from which no still had

ever struck out, generous fire, secret, self contained, and solitary

as an oyster.

I feel the Holy ghosts in his places to charity.

Pray for me, young woman, you better turn and run

the other way. If he ain't got enough in him

to provide for himself and to love his church, I'd say,

when missus Joshua met mister Joshua, she said, not because

somebody preached it, not because he was pushed and prodded

and pulled. But I saw him standing in the House

of God when church was over. Y'all do notice in

the Bible right what was he doing? The young man

was tarrying, Sister Howell. He gave of his person to

the House of God. Sister Wooding is touching me too

in a mighty way. And then when it comes time

to fight God's battles, That's what David said, They're not

my battles, Sister how He put on the armor, and

he went out and he fought violently, valiantly. The Kingdom

of Heaven suffered violence. Good I just come out of

the Tibern. Now I buy it under the shadow of

the Almighty. You know why David experienced the giant's lay

in annoying that he had because he gave of.

His time.

And his talents. He played that harp, and he sang.

He wrote poetry not to be seen and heard. When

he walked in church, he knew, I won't be the priest,

I won't be senior pastor Jeremy Howell.

But if I can just get.

In the door, he said, I'd rather be a doorkeeper.

You talking about the one that slew tens of thousands

that whenever he was walking to church, the daughters of

great men generals, they were singing David the slain of thousands,

tens of thousands in fact, and David saying, if I

could just get to church, if I could just get

to church. I'm not crying because I'm weak. I'm not

crying because I'm wounded or hurt. I'm crying because I

just know how good God is. Before this church became

what it was eighteen and a half years ago, I

would walk out of that trailer back there, I'd say

very little to my wife, and I'd get out to

the nuntin on and I'd walk and touch every square

inch on the back rail of every few and pray

for two hours. And then sister whoop, and I'd do

something fanatical and crazy. I didn't know that another preacher

in India was doing the same thing. I'd stop and say,

how are you, sister. She's here today, How are you, sister?

How are you brother?

the community and trust God. And then when I talked

diamond God, I ain't got nothing. I don't got anybody

loves me, don't got any but cares for me? Where

am I at God and the blessing lyn? Why am

I missing out on something?

He told the believers, you have all things sufficiency in

all things. God is able to compensate his chun children

for their labors of love. The three Hebrew Children had

given the lords working Babylon a chance, and he came

to them and met them at their greatest point in need.

And the last I checked it said he must deny himself,

take up his cross, and follow him. As we're standing,

I want to give these two points one last time.

The three hebrew Men gave in hard times, the rich

young ruler wouldn't give in good times. And Apostle Paul

said to Macedonian, offering for the brethren in Jerusalem and

Judea is plentiful. But he said, you corrects some of you.

You're slacking and you're giving.

I was talking brother Jesse recently about something, just teaching him.

I believe brother Nathaniel was in on it, and I

said something like this, They have a hard time paying

their bills. And Jesse just emphatically, which means with much emphasis,

he said, do they put God first?

Because Brother Jesse said, you pay God your tie first,

you pay your home mortgage, and then you eat obey God.

Sister whoot and you cry, you bawl and squaw in

In hard times, you got to give as much as

you do in easy times. Already, there is no desire

to give, because there's an altar right there for you

to get in without invitation, because it's an open invitation

every service. But Brother Christian, what it is they don't

want to give? But that same person could have a

jersey milk cow. And if they went out there of

the morning after making bacon eggs and cheese biscuits to

get the milk, if Bessie didn't give, they'd pull a

gun and shoot Bessie for not giving. And here's what

And there's a lot of churches they're closing their doors

because people no longer felt the need to support the

work prayerfully and financially. A lot of churches closing their

door because their pastor no longer felt the need to

give to the community. I'm talking about love. Can we

bow our heads right now and pray, Sister hell you

obey the Lord every service. Don't worry about what does

coffers say, Brother Jesse, you keep singing and obey the Lord.

Brother Nathaniel, you keep obeying the Lord. Brother Philip keeps singing,

Brother Samuel, Brother Caleb, keep on keeping on. Caleb brodcap

is who he is today because he's raised in the

home of a mother and father that believed in given.

And there's been times, brother Caleb, you, just like the
