  1. Will you turn with me to the Book of Joel.

  2. May I direct your attention to chapter number one and

  3. verses number one through eight. Our text will be verse

  4. number four. Brother Nathaniel Joel chapter number two versus number

  5. eighteen through twenty seven, with an emphasis on verse twenty five,

  6. and Brother Jesse Luke chapter number fifteen versus number twelve.

  7. Then skip to verse number twenty one through twenty four

  8. Luke fifteen twelve, and then twenty one through twenty four.

  9. It's good to have brother Jesse and Brother Buford home.

  10. They were away on business Wednesday night, but we're glad they're back.

  11. Praise the Lord, Brother Nathaniel Joel chapter number two versus

  12. number eighteen through twenty seven. Then will the Lord be

  13. jealous for his land and pity his people? Yay, the

  14. Lord will answer and say, on those people, behold, I

  15. will send you corn and wine and oil, and you

  16. shall be satisfied therewith, and I will no more make

  17. you a reproach among the heathen. But I will remove

  18. a far off from you the Northern Army, and will

  19. drive him onto a land bearer and desolate with his

  20. face toward the east Sea, and his hinder part towards

  21. the out the utmost sea, and its stink shall come up,

  22. and its ill savor shall come up, because he hath

  23. done great things. Fear not, old land, Be glad and rejoice,

  24. for the Lord will do great things. Be not afraid,

  25. ye beasts of the field, for the pastures of the

  26. wilderness do spring, for the trees beareth their fruit, and

  27. the fig tree and the vine to heald their strength.

  28. Be glad, you children of zign, and rejoicing the Lord,

  29. you your God, for he hath given you the former

  30. rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for

  31. you the rain, the former rain and the latter rain

  32. in the first month, and the floors shall be full

  33. of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and

  34. oil verse twenty five. And I will restore to you

  35. the years that the locust hath eaten, and the canker worm,

  36. and the caterpillar and the palmer worm my great army,

  37. which I sin among you. And you shall eat in

  38. plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord,

  39. your God. And he hath dealt wondrously with you, and

  40. my people shall never be ashamed, and he shall know,

  41. and you shall know that I am the midst. I

  42. am in the midst of Israel, that I am the Lord,

  43. your God, and none else, and my people shall never

  44. be ashamed.

  45. He's the Lord. Praise the Lord.

  46. Look at verse number twenty five, and I will restore

  47. to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the

  48. canker worm, and the caterpillar and the palmer worm, my

  49. great army which I sent among you, which I sent

  50. among you. All of that happened because God was behind it,

  51. and it took place because people would not cease sinning.

  52. Brother Jesse Luke, Chapter number fifteen, Verse number twelve skipped

  53. the verse twenty one.

  54. I read on to twenty four.

  55. And the younger of them said, unto his father, Father,

  56. give me the portion of goods that falleth to me.

  57. And he divideth unto them his living. But the father

  58. said to his servants, bring forth the best robe and

  59. put it on him, and put a ring on his hand,

  60. and shoes on his feet, and bring hit to the

  61. fatted calf, and kill it, and let us eat and

  62. be merry for this. My son was dead and is

  63. alive again. He was lost and is found, and they began.

  64. To be merry.

  65. Praise the Lord from ruin to restoration. Let's stand for

  66. the reading of our golden text Joel chapter number one

  67. versus number one through eight. The Bible says the word

  68. of the Lord that came to Joel, the son of Bethul.

  69. Hear this, ye old men, and give ear all, ye

  70. inhabitants of the land. Hath this been in your days,

  71. or even in the days of your father's. Tell ye

  72. your children of let your children tell their children and

  73. their children another generation. That which the palmer worm hath left,

  74. has the locust eaten. And that which the locust hath

  75. left hath the cankerworm eaten. And that which the cankerworm

  76. hath left, hath the caterpillar eaten. Awake, ye drunkards, and weep,

  77. And how all ye drinkers of wine because of the

  78. new wine, for it is cut off from your mouth.

  79. For a nation has come up upon my land, strong

  80. and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion,

  81. And he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion.

  82. He hath laid my vine waste and barked my fig tree.

  83. He has made it clean. Bear and cast it away.

  84. The branches thereof are made white lament, like a virgin

  85. girded with a sackcloth for the husband of her youth.

  86. The ruin would be like a virgin losing out on

  87. an opportunity for marriage. Pray, Heavenly Father, Oh how great

  88. the ruined, But oh how great the restoration. Heavenly Father,

  89. We thank you for the opportunity to come into your

  90. house this morning. We thank you for this people of God.

  91. Thank you for each one that's obeyed the Lord in

  92. the service. I appreciate the testimonies. I thank you for

  93. the singing and the musicians playing skillfully as unto the Lord.

  94. With the anointing. We thank you for an atmosphere that

  95. is anointed. I pray that you would anoint me now,

  96. said a guard at my mouth. Help me to say

  97. the things you would have me to say, nothing more

  98. or less. Anoint the ears of this thy people, that

  99. they might hear what the Spirit of God says unto

  100. the church through the preach word. May these sayings descend

  101. into that heart and soul. We pray that we would

  102. be hearers and doers of Thy word. And may we

  103. depart this place joyfully and not sorrowfully in Jesus's name,

  104. and the Church said, Amen, catch your neighbor and say, hey, neighbor,

  105. expect restoration. Our text is found in an Old Testament

  106. book of the Holy Bible. The Book of Joel was

  107. written by one whom many considered to be a minor prophet,

  108. and they reach that conclusion because of the brevity of

  109. his writing.

  110. This is a sacred writing.

  111. There is no doubt whatsoever that the Holy Ghost moved

  112. upon this holy oracle, and he spoke and wrote things

  113. that were given to him by God. And verse number

  114. one of chapter number one, you can see that this

  115. man is not speaking of his own words, but he

  116. is speaking the word of the Lord. And anytime a

  117. man of God, a minister, a preacher, and evangelist, a

  118. teacher is speaking the word of God to us, I

  119. do not consider it to be anything minor.

  120. I consider it to be major.

  121. It's a big deal, really, And say, as you sift

  122. through these three chapters, you'll notice something very common that

  123. we found in recent messages, and this is the fact

  124. that it is a preacher doing his dead level best

  125. to persuade people to turn from their wickedness and wrong

  126. and evil doings back unto God. So as we read this,

  127. we can tell that Joel he shares the preacher's burden,

  128. and every preacher should have a burden, and a preacher

  129. should love people unconditionally. There's been a lot of times

  130. that my wife has approached me and she said, you know,

  131. I'm not the pastor. I'm not the one with a

  132. pastor's heart, and I can't love everybody the way you

  133. love them. And I know that her love for each

  134. person in this building is great, and I have no

  135. doubt that she's speaking correctly when she says that pastoral

  136. love for those people that are in that church by

  137. that pastor is a great love. But what I want

  138. you to know is God's love is a greater love

  139. than that of the under shepherd that is looking over

  140. the Lord's sheep. And thank God for that great love.

  141. There's people in this building this morning. You're just like

  142. anyone else. If you're honest, you'll say there are people

  143. that I would be okay if they just ended up

  144. stuck in the mire. I'd be okay with the fact

  145. of them just being gone. I'd be all right with

  146. getting them out of my hair and seeing them off.

  147. But the Lord is the creator of us all and

  148. all souls belong to the Lord. You've heard how mothers

  149. have loved their little children, and how those children have

  150. grown up to become menaces of society, even monsters of society,

  151. and they end up in prison.

  152. And those mothers will go.

  153. And go through all of that security process to get

  154. access to their little baby, give them the benefit of

  155. the doubt, and try their best to provide for them

  156. the best they can. And Brother Jesse, that mother will

  157. offer that criminal child of theirs words of hope. And

  158. sometimes we as outsiders, say the tough love of mother

  159. didn't work, so perhaps the.

  160. Strong arm of the law will work.

  161. And there's no doubt that that mother that went in

  162. there seemingly so innocent. As she walked by the guard,

  163. I'm sure she whispered to the guard and said, I'm

  164. sorry that it resorted to this. I'm sorry that things

  165. escalated and deteriorated to the point that my child required

  166. being incarcerated. But it was for the best because my

  167. child would not listen to me, it would not listen

  168. to its father, it wouldn't listen to its legal team,

  169. it wouldn't listen to law, and for horsement, and so

  170. therefore I've got to trust the Lord to do his

  171. work behind closed doors. And so we know these men,

  172. they love the people of God, and they felt God's burden,

  173. and they understood that God was bringing forth this judgment

  174. upon his people to turn them around. And I don't

  175. know what it's going to take to get some people

  176. to turn around. I look at our world in his

  177. spiritual condition, and I know that judgment begins at the

  178. house of God, and I believe it.

  179. Already has begun.

  180. We are experiencing as spiritual famine in many houses of worship.

  181. People are perishing for a lack of hunger. And it's

  182. a shame that they are sitting there in those pews

  183. until they perish. Why do they sit there until they die?

  184. I don't know.

  185. I don't understand why the likes of Jeremiah, the prophet

  186. Hubbaki would have to preach to the nations of Israel

  187. and Judah and tell them, hey, you're God's people, but

  188. you can't do wrong and get by. You can't commit

  189. immorality and idolatry, and God take notice of it. It's

  190. never been a question of whether or not God loves

  191. all of his creatures. God loves everyone. He loves the backslider.

  192. He loves the church elder, he loves the church deacon,

  193. he loves the pastor, he loves the church maintenance man.

  194. He loves the church cleaner woman.

  195. But God also loves those that used to know what

  196. it was like to sit inside of the House of God,

  197. and those that have gone out into the world, those

  198. that have tasted of the good things of God, and

  199. those who are now munching on a bitter morsel of saul.

  200. As I go through this little short to a book

  201. of the Bible, it's only three chapters long. As a

  202. student of the Divine Library, I know that sometimes people

  203. who proclaim to be the children of God refuse to

  204. release their grip on sin, and rather they embrace an

  205. unholy lifestyle. And the Lord is going to eventually confront

  206. the evil. It's only a matter of time and before

  207. God sends forth a messenger, and that messenger will be

  208. very careful to say exactly what God told him to say,

  209. and he will do just exactly as God instructed him

  210. to do. Most of the time, the ministers, they try

  211. their very best to bring us as the parishioners, to

  212. an awareness of our spiritual condition.

  213. Sometimes we do not.

  214. Really realize just how far we have drifted away from

  215. the Lord.

  216. Sometimes we don't really realize.

  217. What stage of ruin we are in, and the preacher

  218. will begin to push us towards a godly sorrow which

  219. brings us into a true repentance.

  220. There's no doubt whatsoever in.

  221. My mind that God's love, his mercy, and there is

  222. a hope for each a person in this building. This morning,

  223. as I read through this book of the Bible, I

  224. noticed the verse number one of chapter number two, and

  225. that's the part that stood out to me. The most

  226. of the Bible said for the day of the Lord

  227. that cometh, for the day of the Lord cometh.

  228. And this is not.

  229. Talking about the advent of the Lord. This is talking

  230. about the chastening rod in the hand of God coming

  231. down upon a judgment bound people.

  232. The next verse describes what appears.

  233. To be the judgment of the Lord for the evil

  234. of the Israelites, not for the evil of the Pagans,

  235. but for the Israelites, those who called themselves the specially

  236. selected and chosen of God. If you look at our

  237. golden text again, Joel, chapter number one in verse number five,

  238. it speaks of the palmer worm having left a little something,

  239. and then the locusts coming in and eating that that

  240. the palmer worm left, and that which the locust hath

  241. left that the canker worm eats, and that which the

  242. canker worm hath left hath the caterpillar eaten. It's hard

  243. to wrap our minds around this verse. In this season

  244. of revival, we wonder who amongst us, or who among

  245. the many numerous churches throughout the United States of America,

  246. could be in some sort of spiritual famine that is

  247. brought on by God. Who could be dealing with spiritual

  248. insects and spiritual parasites that are devouring the harvest of

  249. their life. I see this judgment coming upon the children

  250. of God who willingly chose to harbor iniquity in their hearts.

  251. The Bible said they that Nameth, the name of the Lord,

  252. should depart from iniquity. If I was to speak in

  253. farmers verbiage right now, I'd say something like this, a

  254. farmer speaking to here's apron clad bride. Honey, it's going

  255. to be another bad year. Things aren't looking good for

  256. our cropsome and our life stock. One of the points

  257. that the Holy Girl spoken into my heart yesterday was this,

  258. the Lord is going to wipe out the harvest and

  259. the herds of the disobedient, unruly, rebellious, and stubborn people.

  260. And the people's only hope for.

  261. Their harvest and for their herds is a true repentance

  262. that will lead to restoration again. The only hope for

  263. the harvest and the herds is a true repentance that

  264. will bring forth a restoration. And there's no doubt God

  265. wants to restore you fully.

  266. The people in.

  267. This building have been encouraged by the Lord to turn

  268. loosen of whatever it is would hinder them from growing

  269. in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord and

  270. Savior Jesus Christ. And they've been encouraged to embrace a

  271. lifestyle of purity. If you look at Joel chapter number

  272. two and put your attention the verses number twelve and thirteen,

  273. the Bible says, therefore, also now say it the Lord.

  274. It turn you even to me with all your heart.

  275. Now you'll find him when you have search for him

  276. with all of your heart. It's one thing to say something,

  277. it's another thing to mean it in your heart and

  278. to do it. For where your treasure is, there will

  279. your heart be also. And so God is not saying, here,

  280. tell your pastor you got saved after he preached that

  281. message through the anointing of the Holy girls, so that things.

  282. Can get for you.

  283. This is not saying you've been experiencing a few hardships

  284. and afflictions here of late, and you just need to

  285. get some pressure off and come down to the altar

  286. and cry some crocodile tears and pray until you feel

  287. better and return to your wicked ways that that's going

  288. on inside of your heart. And the Lord said, turn

  289. ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting,

  290. and with weeping, and with the morning. This generation does

  291. not want to hear this, but I will say it nevertheless.

  292. There are some things that will never get off your

  293. trail and never get off your back without fasting and praying.

  294. There are some things that you will never have the

  295. victory of. There are some gifts that you will ever

  296. gift to it without fasting and praying. Some things will

  297. never be fixed until you understand in your heart you've

  298. got to fast for the King of Glory to look

  299. at some after a man had been delivered gloriously, and

  300. to say this kind of goeth not forth, but by

  301. prayer and pasting. He was letting them know when you're

  302. dealing with a spirit of discouragement, or you're dealing with

  303. an oppressive spirit. I'm not talking about a possessive spirit always,

  304. but I'm talking about it incessantly, a nagging tug of

  305. something going on, or something trying to misdirect you, or

  306. something trying to lead you Australia, or a lying voice.

  307. In your ear.

  308. You're gonna have to fast and pray to have victory

  309. over that. Verse number thirteen of chapter number two says,

  310. and render your heart and not your garments, and turn

  311. unto the Lord your God, for he is gracious and

  312. he is merciful. He slowed anger and of great kindness

  313. and repented him of the evil. Why are churches experiencing

  314. spiritual famines? And why have they received pastors that are

  315. hirelings and wolves and sheep clothing? Because like the children

  316. of Israel, they wanted a king, just like they requested

  317. Saul to be a lord over them. So they have

  318. heap to themselves. Teachers having itching ears. They wanted to

  319. hear certain things they wanted to preacher to preach on

  320. certain topics on.

  321. The midweek service.

  322. They wanted a mend to go to one room and

  323. the women to go to another room, and they were

  324. to have open dialogue and open discussion on how everybody

  325. in the building there is weak, and those men and

  326. women go out of those respective classes, saying one to another,

  327. I had no idea you were dealing with the spirit

  328. of alcohol lives, saying things like I had no idea

  329. you were desiring that woman's husband. I had no idea

  330. you've been stealing from your employer. Listen, the Bible did

  331. say confessor your faults.

  332. One to another.

  333. It did instruct us to be honest sometimes with those

  334. that were laboring with.

  335. But I really don't believe it.

  336. Meant for you to go in there and to just

  337. air out your dirty laundry and confessor your sins to

  338. your fellow men.

  339. God said turn to me.

  340. God did say turn the jeermy God did say turn

  341. yourself on hold, or send a text or make you

  342. feel better. God did say tear your garments. God did

  343. say mess up your hair. God did say tear up

  344. your shoes. God said, rin that heart. I'm telling you

  345. It doesn't matter what we see you do on the exterior.

  346. God knows what's going on in the heart. And the

  347. Bible said about that heart of yours, it's the sea

  348. ploo wicked.

  349. Who can know it? I'll tell you who knows it.

  350. God knows the thoughts and the intentions of the heart.

  351. And for reason these people had come to judgment.

  352. It's because they had frustrated the goodness and the grace

  353. and the mercy.

  354. And the love of God.

  355. God said, I slow the anger. It ain't that the preacher,

  356. he is an angry preacher. It ain't that the teachers

  357. are angry. It ain't that everybody's wanting to.

  358. Push you out of the block of God. It's being a.

  359. Gradual wearing away processor that's bringing about your ruling. Churches

  360. aren't ruined overnight. Families aren't ruined, overnight. Businesses aren't ruined overnight.

  361. Brother Jesse had just returned from the Capitol after meeting

  362. with one of our senators who was a long standing

  363. leader of the state Senate, and Brother Jesse said while

  364. he was there, some of them offered to take them

  365. on a tour of the new capital. In the old capital,

  366. and Sister whoot, And he said that old capital is

  367. just amazing. And he said what they did when they

  368. built the new capital because of the influx of migrant

  369. workers coming into Miami, Florida, they had to build a

  370. high rise and they had to climb to the sky

  371. to have enough offices. They needed plenty of office space

  372. just to take care of the business that was happening

  373. due to an infestation of migrants. They came in legally

  374. and they generated a lot of revenue for this state

  375. and for their employers. And Brother Jesse said, at some point,

  376. some of the legislatures and government officials made a decision

  377. they would tear down the old Capitol building. I've been there.

  378. I've been to both of them. I've been in the

  379. Governor's office. And Brother Jesse, I would hate to think

  380. that somebody even contemplated and considered tearing that building down.

  381. But they did.

  382. And Brother Jesse said, a group of law and some

  383. of them congressional people, they decided, you know what we

  384. need to do. We need to save our old capital.

  385. We need to save what I believe to be the

  386. original capitol building. And Brother Jess said that they went

  387. in there and they restored everything. He said if a

  388. piece of furniture had been removed. There were specialists and

  389. art people and just construction teams that went in there

  390. and looked at pictures and analyzed the details, and they

  391. literally recreated, if you would, the former Senate and the

  392. former what is it called the House of Representatives, and

  393. the former Governor's office. And they took it all the

  394. way back to nineteen o two. They restored it to

  395. its condition as it was in nineteen o two. And

  396. brother Jesse said, it is a beautiful site. And I

  397. tell you you're right here this morning. I know that

  398. God spoke into my heart to tell somebody. God can

  399. take you back to whatever significant date in your life.

  400. It is where you felt like you were a new creature.

  401. God can take you back before the locusts came in,

  402. before the palmer worm and the caker came in. God

  403. can restore you. That's what the psymist desire of the Lord.

  404. He said, create in me a clean heart, O God,

  405. every new, a right spirit within me. Another voice said's

  406. revers goes like this, restore.

  407. Unto me the joy of thy soul. Ovation.

  408. I'm asking you you cannot get back some years that

  409. God can help you recover Meslough some things that you

  410. feel like you have squandered up and wasted. You can

  411. restore money, you can restore cars, you can restore courthouses,

  412. you can restore the everglades, you can restore the capitol

  413. building there. But it's very hard to restore years. And

  414. that's what God said in this texture. I will restore

  415. the years of ruin with restoration.

  416. I feel like God showed me.

  417. You could expect them a bumper harvest if you just

  418. turn up from your wickedness and let.

  419. Corda get ahold of that harder. He fix it.

  420. God wants to fix what's broken and corrupted inside. Left

  421. Sunday night, bro the Gabriel collapsed right here on these

  422. steps in front of the pulpit. Four years prior, as

  423. a backslider, he came home to God. I remember that

  424. evening service when he come into church and nobody recognized him,

  425. nobody knew who he was, nobody knew where he came from.

  426. But he walked in through them doors and he prayed.

  427. That's a service. He said, I'm a backslider and God's

  428. been dealing with me to come home. He said, I've

  429. got to live in girlfriend back there, and I'm just

  430. feeling like I'm going to start a family. I feel

  431. like I better get right with God. God has warned me,

  432. there's been significant signs that I'm in trouble if I

  433. don't pray. I've been very concerned about what's going to

  434. happen to me, and he had every reason to be concerned.

  435. I feel like if I hadn't to turn when I

  436. did on my heels and pivoted and handed God my

  437. heart and said, you know what, not my way, Lord,

  438. but your way, not my will, but your will be done.

  439. I feel like I ended up just like my best

  440. friend did, dead on the highway somewhere. But Brother Gable,

  441. he prayed that to church. We asked him, said where

  442. did you come from?

  443. Brother?

  444. He said, I come from Fort Myers. He said, my

  445. mother met you and your wife years ago, and she

  446. noticed the holiness, and she took down your wife's number,

  447. and I punched it into Google and I found out

  448. where y'all's church is. That man wasn't texting me saying

  449. I'm suffering. That man was not texting me saying pastor,

  450. how I'm coming. That man was not at all pointed

  451. at his garment. He wasn't pointing at the beard on

  452. his face or his bald head. He wasn't pointing at

  453. the exterior. He came in on his own. He didn't

  454. approach a confessional booth. Oh come on now, it wasn't

  455. everybody staying, and let's pray a sinner's prayer. At the

  456. end of that service, that man got down. He didn't

  457. talk to Jeremy Howell. I didn't hear him say my

  458. Heavenly Father, Jeremy Howell. I heard him pray and cry

  459. out to God. And you know what, it got gloriously

  460. saved and born again and Sunday we could go. He

  461. knelt down, Brother Jesse in that same spot that he said,

  462. after four years, I told God, I need to get

  463. right here where it all began because I'm desperate and

  464. I don't understand. Isn't interest and how some people can

  465. see they are desperate and they are destitute, and they

  466. need a visitation from the Lord. That's what Hubacca was saying.

  467. That's what Joel was saying. God wants to help you.

  468. God wants to restore you. God wots to beat you

  469. in the altar. God wants to give you back those

  470. wasted years. God wants to give you a bumper crop.

  471. God wants to give you of God for harvest. But

  472. what bothers me and is with so many in the

  473. world today, a lack of sincerity, a lack of humility,

  474. and a lack of honesty. They come boldly into the

  475. tone of grace. Yes, you know what they say, as

  476. they wiped their mouths with their sin on their lips.

  477. They say, I've done no hello, I've.

  478. Done no hellong.

  479. That's not the spirit of David. David rent his heart. Hey,

  480. David said, I cried on my bed at night.

  481. I read it with my tears. Pride will keep you.

  482. From saying I'm sorry God, I'm sorry Dad, I'm sorry Church.

  483. God wants to fix that is broken. And you know what,

  484. when they refuse, God allows the devil to take them lower.

  485. And lower. How low can they go? I don't know.

  486. I've seen them go mighty low and still hold on

  487. to that haughty spirit, and still hold on to that

  488. spirit of pride and say I'm just as saved as

  489. anybody in the house.

  490. How can that be? That's the same thing.

  491. It'sraeltes you're telling Joe and Joel is saying, it's breaking

  492. the Lord's heart for him to see how far you're

  493. having to go. You parents just fixing to connect for you.

  494. You discipline your child and they don't do what you

  495. told them to do, you increase the discipline. You probably

  496. add a restriction to it. Then they don't do what

  497. you said to do, You add another restriction to it,

  498. and before long they're totally restricted, until they can do

  499. nothing but what you said to do. And that's what

  500. I want you to know about your prodigal sons and

  501. your prodigal daughters, and the prodigals of this church and

  502. every other church. It's the goodness of God when he

  503. takes the prodigal son that willingly walked out.

  504. Oh, come on now, he walked out with a fortune.

  505. He went out there and devoured it with rioteous living.

  506. He squandered it with the horrors of this world, and

  507. partied with the hormongers of this world.

  508. And he found himself in the hog pin.

  509. I doubt there's anybody in this building tonight chomping on swapper.

  510. I doubt there's anybody in this building steaking like a swiner.

  511. But God knows if that heart is dirty, and the

  512. prodigal son because a severe consequences and great restrictions by God.

  513. God took his money that could have been restored. God

  514. took his popularity that could have been restored. But God

  515. took it and took it on down until he didn't

  516. have bread to eat, until he's in a famine. If

  517. he would, he would have feint fielder his melly with

  518. a husker, not to swine did eat. And then of compounds,

  519. and no man wants to give him anything. Nobody wants

  520. to toss him her rib bond, nobody wants to bring

  521. him a loaf of her stale bread. The Bible said,

  522. no man came under him. But then he came to himself,

  523. and he returned to his citizens. He came to his

  524. right mind, and he got to thinking, Why said I

  525. here in a ruin when I know very well that

  526. my father.

  527. Would restore me to the foe. I'm asking you, will

  528. you die, he swider, or will you die? Her son?

  529. I said, will you die, he swie, or will you

  530. die the son? Amen?

  531. He could have died in that hog pen, and you

  532. know what them filthy swine would have done.

  533. They'd have made dinner out of him and that's what

  534. I want to tell you.

  535. If you don't get up and out of the mire,

  536. they'll make dinner. How do you, I said, damn, make dinner.

  537. Amen.

  538. I could almost see it now as one pig looked

  539. at another and that natural instinct. He's getting weak. I

  540. wish I could do barnyard noises right now. My cat

  541. can tell when sister how and I don't feel good,

  542. and it seems to almost go into a slight depression

  543. if we're not ourselves. That cats that smart. It's instinct

  544. to desern. And I'm sure them old pigs notice he stopped,

  545. you know, get off me, your nasty thing. You're losing

  546. your kick. You're losing your fight. And he would fain

  547. have filled his belly with a husk had to swine,

  548. did he. I don't understand, brother Philip, why they would

  549. rather feast on the fodder of this world rather than

  550. on the bread in the father's house.

  551. But some do, some do.

  552. Joel was telling them Sin will take you further than

  553. you thought it would.

  554. He will take you lower, low, low.

  555. I've seen a lot of people lose out with God

  556. in a church house and they sit there until they die,

  557. and then after they die spiritually them wolves in sheep's clothing.

  558. The pastors themselves devour them. But Jesus is saying, through

  559. the prophet, and I will restore you the years that

  560. the locust hath eaten, the canker worm, and the caterpillar

  561. and the palmer worm, my great army which I sent

  562. among you. Basically, he's saying, I'll call the troops off,

  563. and I'll let it rain again. I'll let the tender

  564. shop go up again, Brother Rocap, I wonder what the

  565. farmer thought when he looked out there and saw swarm

  566. of hope locusts coming, and they stripped the field, and

  567. says to howl, he told his wife, I'm sure honey

  568. couldn't be any worse than this. And then comes to

  569. can'ker warm, and then honey can't get any worse than this.

  570. Then comes to palmer worm, can't get any worse than this,

  571. then comes to caterpillar. It can get worse. He doesn't

  572. want it to get worse. And some of you, because

  573. the prophets every now and then throwing a little mercy,

  574. because God's mercy is new every morning, and where sin

  575. abound's grace does much more bound, And because you feel

  576. like you run on long enough that you can just

  577. keep on running and doing wrong.

  578. But I'm telling you, if you don't.

  579. Have ears to hear what the Spirit of God has

  580. been saying for the last two weeks, you are in

  581. trouble with the churches in these United States of America especially.

  582. It's like God is playing whack them ale. You look

  583. out over towards the horizon, and you see a prairie

  584. a field, and you see little holes that represent little churches,

  585. and you see little moles or little ground hogs, the

  586. little gophers. You put your animal choice, we'll call it

  587. the old tortoise, they'll gopher tortoise that we have down here.

  588. And you look at the entrance of them.

  589. Holes, and there's what's supposed to be there, but for

  590. some let's call it a groundhog. They're standing up there,

  591. twitching their whiskers.

  592. And nibbling their lips with their teeth. And then suddenly.

  593. And you look over here at this one who's underneath

  594. the earth, grabbing them by the little paws and pulling

  595. them into the abyss. I don't need God playing why

  596. them Old with me. I'm telling you that right now,

  597. have you any of you ever played that. I still

  598. feel the Holy Ghost. So some of you are thinking

  599. this is just gonna be another message. I text pastors

  600. say thank you for obeying the Lord. It was very timely,

  601. very fitting. I prayed something through. We'll see because I

  602. felt a surge of the Holy Ghost when he offered restoration.

  603. But for some reason, Sister How, I felt a kickback. Amen,

  604. Sister How, and Amen, brother, stare it Isaiah fifty nine

  605. of verse number two. But your iniquities have separated between

  606. you and your God, and your sins have hid his

  607. face from you that he will not hear. Listen, brother,

  608. and sister. Sin will bring separation from God into one's life.

  609. And he said, your sin, be sure your sin will

  610. find you out. Listen Israel, Listen, friend, Listen, brother sister,

  611. take ownership. Admit it is your fault. It is your sin.

  612. It's why you're losing things. It's why you're losing your crop,

  613. it's why you're losing livestock. It was your sins that

  614. cost you to lose so much. It wasn't your pastor's fault,

  615. the first lady's fault, the elder of the deacon, or

  616. the deacon us. It was not their fault. It's your fault, Israel.

  617. And Joel painted a perfect picture of fruitless years, the

  618. aftermath of rebellion and disobedience. The sins committed grew, and

  619. they grew, and the more they grew, no more of

  620. those pesti insects came, and they came to devour any

  621. good thing they could find. Can I tell you that

  622. sin is all consuming? God gave me that early this morning.

  623. Sin is all consuming. But our God is greater, and

  624. our God's Holy fire is greater. He said, he is

  625. a consuming fire, and he is the God of restoration.

  626. He said, it was my mighty army doing this. It

  627. was my mighty army. And God took back all of

  628. those blessings he gave. And God's entitled to take back

  629. any blessing he gave you. But Joel said, I feel

  630. the spirit of God. I feel like preaching one more time.

  631. The latter reign will come upon those that are truly

  632. truly repenting of their sin. And he said, for those

  633. that have truly repented, they shall eat in plenty, and

  634. they shall be satisfied. And he said, you will praise

  635. again the name of your Lord God at some point

  636. in them painful years will become years of plenty again. David,

  637. the sweet Psalmist of Israel lost everything that he had.

  638. He lost his wives and his children. But David prayed

  639. and he asked God, shall I recover all? And the

  640. Lord said, yes, David, You've encouraged yourself and me, and

  641. thou shalt without fail recover all. And God restored it.

  642. All.

  643. The backsliders can get their blessings back. Look what you

  644. and your sin did, but look what the Lord can do.

  645. Also.

  646. Luke fifteen tells of somebody in their rebellious years. David

  647. went through some painful years and he found restoration. And

  648. this man went through some rebellious years. And I want

  649. you to know his sin had stripped him. But after

  650. true repentance. Notice his words, Father, I have sin. We

  651. all know this to be true. I'll use him as

  652. an example because he's my son. I know he's never

  653. done that. And again, for the critic and the one

  654. listening to find fault, I will say again, my son

  655. Samuel has never done this. But I know for a

  656. that my son Samuel could lose his cool with his employees.

  657. I'm not expecting that, but people could push him to

  658. the point that he lost his cool and grew angry,

  659. just like God, who's slow to anger, can get to

  660. the point where judgment begins. And I could see my

  661. son Samuel, without using curse words, coming down hard and strong,

  662. and then literally five minutes later, feeling terrible about it,

  663. and an office door closing, and him getting down in

  664. his office chair and saying, forgive me God, I've been

  665. a bad witness. I've hurt you. I'm terribly sorry. And

  666. I could see him coming to church the next service

  667. as full of the Holy Ghost as he is is

  668. and getting down here and saying, Lord, I'm sorry for

  669. breaking your heart and being a bad witness and testimony

  670. for you. And that's what you need to get ahold of.

  671. With all that you have done, with all the world

  672. has done, with all they are doing, aborting babies, crying

  673. over beach dolphins, but leaving beached babies on operating tables.

  674. My heart goes out to the beach dolphin and the

  675. beach well too. But what about all them beach babies?

  676. When do you rend your heart? That's what David did,

  677. creating me a clean heart, old God, renew a right

  678. spirit within me, coveteousness, envy, jealousy, which is as cruel

  679. as the grave. I've seen church leaders and church elners

  680. before leave good solid churches because they were jealous of

  681. God using somebody else. But where are the real genuine tears,

  682. not the crocodile tears?

  683. David said, My soul is as a wereen child.

  684. Sometimes Mom and Daddy ain't got the answers. Sometimes the

  685. pastor hain't got the answer. David had a good father

  686. in Jessy. David, no doubt had a good mother. But

  687. Jesus was his answer. There's some of you.

  688. He'd rather cry to Dad, crowd a mob, crowd the preacher,

  689. rather the crowd to God.

  690. Why because you're not going to pray through You want

  691. pity and you want to be petted.

  692. And pampered.

  693. But the prodigal's son came home to Dad, and when

  694. he approached Dad, he said, if Father, I have sinned,

  695. I'm preaching the message the Holy Ghost title from Ruin

  696. to Restoration. Don't you think he was e parised when

  697. he saw the steward of the house, the butler, and

  698. the baker of the house, and all the servants. See

  699. how he looked. They come on, now, we all see

  700. it anyway. We all see the ruin anyway.

  701. We all know the.

  702. Caterpillar has been to your place. We know the caterpillar

  703. has been to your church. We know the caterpillar has

  704. been all over your country. But the father, no doubt,

  705. after running to him and kissing his neck, his next

  706. words are restoring.

  707. And that's my question right here.

  708. The minute you rent that heart and the minute you

  709. turn from your sin. Jesus told the woman that was

  710. taken in the very act no doubt committing adultery with

  711. a religious leader. He said, where are those that would

  712. bring you into condemnation? She said, they're not here. Lord,

  713. you know why because they all refused restoration. They walked

  714. right out into their ruin, because they were just as

  715. guilty as she was. And Jesus basically said, one man,

  716. you found restoration.

  717. Go and sin no more.

  718. Go go and do it no more, Go and seek

  719. occasion to commit it no more. Whatever it is you're

  720. doing that's upsetting and grieving God, nation, family, country.

  721. Individual, church member, israelied.

  722. Whatever it is you're doing, it's offending God and bringing

  723. judgment into your life. Where God has to employ the caterpillar,

  724. the locust, the canker worm and the palmer worm to get.

  725. Your a to chod? What will it take God? I said,

  726. what will he it take to get your attention?

  727. And I'll tell you this, God's got the ability to

  728. do what it takes. You asked Nebakanazar, the emperor that

  729. God used, who didn't give glory to God where it blonged?

  730. And you know what when he's out there grazing grass

  731. like a cow and saying moove, and he's insane.

  732. Oh, you know what.

  733. There came a time, though, when God said I will

  734. restore him. And when Neb Canezzar was brought back to

  735. his right mind, he didn't want to give the preacher

  736. a piece of his mind. He didn't want to say,

  737. brother Jeremy, you ain't doing it right. He didn't want

  738. to say, brother Daniel, you ain't.

  739. Doing it right. You know, he talked to God.

  740. He said, I extole thee most holy God heaven left.

  741. Father.

  742. Oh, come on, now, couldn't nobody preach like nebkaness her

  743. when he got under the impulse and they're noughting.

  744. I'm tied.

  745. I'm telling you, if God can restore never conness her

  746. from ruin her God can restore you. But in least

  747. he never conesse her had the sense her to get

  748. up out of the field. At least a prodigal son

  749. had de sense her to get.

  750. Up out of the hog pit. I'm asking you right now,

  751. where are you at.

  752. It's nothing but crickets in here, I said, It's nothing

  753. else but locus in here.

  754. All up here is crickets.

  755. Father, I have sin, Not did somebody in the church

  756. did me wrong? Not that my elder brother is a

  757. smart elck, Not that my elder brother's a jerk.

  758. Father, I have sin. Two wrongs don't make a right father.

  759. My actions put me here, Father, My actions brought about

  760. to ruin. And you only father can bring about restoration.

  761. You only father can bring about restoration. I'm at your mercy,

  762. I'm at your messy Please forgive me. And you know

  763. what that old, soiled, stinky garment that the prodigal son

  764. was wearing. The father never said, you smell like a

  765. bunch of swe Here's what the father said, Look at it.

  766. He's sitting there, Luke chapter number fifteen. He said, go

  767. get a garment and put it on him, because he's

  768. gonna feel unworthy, because he's so humble already, he said,

  769. I don't belong in the father's house. Just leave me

  770. out there in the servants quarters. What he's saying is,

  771. I know, I know. This was a broken young man

  772. right here. His spirit is different, his attitude is changed.

  773. And then it gets even better than that. He said,

  774. see them old callous send callous and hardened hands, see

  775. them old dingy, dirty fingernails. He said, go in there.

  776. That ring he left behind, that declared his sonship, that

  777. gave him power over the estate, just like the oldest

  778. son has. He said, put the ring on his finger. Restoration,

  779. brother Nathaniel, it's here this morning from ruin the restoration.

  780. And then.

  781. The father said, go out there and get the fatted

  782. calf slame and fix him, and let's have some steak,

  783. some prime rib, and let's celebrate. You have to deal

  784. with that spirit of haughtiness, rebellion, stubbornness.

  785. It's not funny.

  786. And as long as you think it's funny, God is

  787. going to just keep tightening down on it. But for

  788. some sys to how the latter reign came and God

  789. called his troops off and they reaped a bountiful harvest,

  790. a bumper crop sys to how the only way God

  791. could restore the years is that the same spirit that

  792. he allowed to move upon Joseph would move upon them,

  793. and God would allow them filleds to just bring forth

  794. so much, brother are And if it had been four

  795. years that God had diminished them to nothing, he may

  796. have gave him four years in one year. Boys, you

  797. know what I'm talking about? That tangerine tree. There'd be

  798. some years of them little howl boys go out there

  799. wanting the tangerine. They take one of their sister, and

  800. then the next year they went with the same anticipation,

  801. and there wasn't a single tangerine on that tree. And

  802. Daddy'd put a little horseman nue around it. Ma must

  803. cratch a little bit around it with a lake with

  804. a rake, and we do what we could do, but

  805. our hands were tied. But then the conditions were right,

  806. brother Jesse, and the next year covered in tangerine. Well, Preacher,

  807. you don't know how much I've lost. With you'd humble yourself,

  808. you could maybe get saved, sanctified, and Holy goost filled

  809. in less than a week. Well, I've lost so much ground.

  810. You don't think God can restore you y'all know when

  811. your pastor started preaching at the age of thirty. You

  812. know when your pastor knew he was supposed to preach

  813. at the age of eighteen. But because of the words

  814. of a man, A man told me to wait until

  815. you're thirty. God told me to get started at eighteen.

  816. I lost twelve years, but I want you to know

  817. he's restored. I cry and I weep and say, God,

  818. I hope, I sure hope. How did mess up somebody

  819. for not preaching to them them twelve years? But then

  820. I look out here this morning and I say, God,

  821. I may be one born out of due time. I

  822. may be a late bloomer or a late comer. I

  823. feel that in my soul. That's what Apostle Paul say.

  824. I feel it, brother, justin Apostle Paul. He may not

  825. have had the privilege that Peter and James and John

  826. to put his feet in the footprints of Jesus. But

  827. Paul said, how I am one. I've been born out

  828. of due time, But I am one. I am one,

  829. and I want you you know you're a child of

  830. the King. And that's what Hubacchic and Joel was telling

  831. these Israelites. You are a child of the king. Let's

  832. stand and I hear the sound of revival rain, I said,

  833. I hear the sound of revival rain. And God wants

  834. to rain on your crop. But if he doesn't rain,

  835. the locusts will come instead. Now say this, there's some

  836. of you just need to pray for these two or three.

  837. This altar shouldn't be bearing right now. The flip side

  838. of it is the devourer will come and take everything.

  839. Can we bow our heads and close our eyes the

  840. word of the Lord that came to Joel, the son

  841. of the Thule. Hear this, ye old men, and give

  842. ear all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath this been

  843. in your days or even in the days of your fathers.

  844. Tell your children of it. Let your children tell their

  845. children and the children of the generation. That which the

  846. palmer worm hath left, hath the locus eating, And that

  847. which the locust hath left had the cankerworm eating. And

  848. that which the cankerworm has left had the caterpillar eating.

  849. There's one in the altar right now as this somebody else.

  850. While heads are bout and eyes are closed, you know

  851. that you need to be praying. Is there some more?

  852. I want to take the walk. I want to kneel

  853. around an altar. I want to say, Father, I admit

  854. when he admitted that, everybody saw he admitted it. There's

  855. about seven or eight in the altar. Now is there

  856. more to come? I can't tear it much longer. There's

  857. some more, And I will restore to you the years

  858. that the locust hath eaten, the canker worm, and the

  859. caterpillar and the palmer worm my great army which I

  860. sent among you, And you shall eat in plenty, and

  861. be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your

  862. God to add dealt wondrously with you, and my people

  863. shall never be ashamed. The restoration will be so perfect

  864. you won't have to bear shame. Jesus here I am today.

  865. I own.

  866. This.

  867. It's mine. I take ownership. I admit I could do better.

  868. I could be better. I could live better. I could

  869. be more devoted, I could be more committed. There's some

  870. things that I need to release, there's some things I

  871. need to turn loose of, and there's some things I

  872. need to embrace. Take the canker worm from me, destroy

  873. the palmer worm,
