All right, Brother Nathaniel Matthew chapter number four, versus number
-
one through three. Brother Jesse Luke, Chapter number seventeen, verses
-
number thirty two through thirty six, and again beloved our
-
golden text the Lord put upon my heart as Ezra
-
chapter number five, verses number two and three. Okay, Brother
-
Nathaniel Matthew four one through three. Brother. Then was Jesus
-
led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be
-
tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty
-
days and forty nights, he was afterward unhungered. And when
-
the tempter came to him, he said, if there'll be
-
the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Amen,
-
Brother Jesse Luke, Chapter number seventeen, verses number thirty two
-
through thirty six. Remember Lot's wife.
-
Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it,
-
And whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it. I
-
tell you, in that night shall be two men in
-
one bed. The one shall be taken and the other
-
shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together. The
-
one shall be taken and the other left. Two men
-
shall be in the field. The one shall be taken
-
and the other left.
-
Amen, Let's stand for the reading of our golden text.
-
I would like to preach a sermon the Holy Ghost
-
titled great opportunity and great opposition at the same time,
-
Great opportunity and great opposition at the same time Ezra five,
-
two and three. Then rose ups the Rubbable, the son
-
of Sheltill, and Joshua, the son of Joseph Dac, and
-
began to build the House of God which is at Jerusalem.
-
And with them were the prophets of God helping them.
-
At the same time came to them Tatnai, governor on
-
this side the river, and Shetharboznaye, and their companions, and said, thus,
-
unto them who hath commanded you to build this house
-
and to make up this walt. If you like to
-
underline words in your Bible, underline the first part of
-
verse number three. At the same time, underline these three
-
words in verse number two. Then rose up. Let's pray,
-
Heavenly Father, we love and we praise you. We thank
-
you for the opportunity to be in your house this morning.
-
I thank you for the precious people of God. We
-
pray that you would anoint this thy servant. I need
-
you God desperately. I need your help this morning. Help me, Lord,
-
open somebody's eyes, as you have instructed me to do.
-
Help me to open somebody's ears that they might hear
-
the distinction of sound between the voice of God the
-
voice of the devil. I pray that you would anoint
-
the ears of this thy people, that they might hear
-
what it is. The Spirit of God's says into the
-
church today. Lord will be careful to give you all
-
the praise and all the honor and all the glory
-
in Jesus's name. And the church said, Amen, as you're
-
being seated, look at your neighbor and say, hey, neighbor,
-
did you know God and the Devil works at the
-
same time? Oh? Yes they do. Our text is found
-
in an Old Testament book of the Holy Bible, the
-
Book of Ezra. In this sacred writing we find the
-
historical record of Israel's second Exodus. How many of you
-
are are aware of the fact that they had a
-
second and third exodus. In recent weeks, I have preached
-
from text that told us of the time period when
-
the Israelites spent many years in exile. I know there's
-
people in this building today that can say you are
-
blood bought, you're a born again child of God, while
-
others can say I'm saved, sanctified and holy ghost filled.
-
But somewhere in your past you were not always who
-
you are today, and you were a captive held by
-
your captors, the foes of your soul, not the friends
-
of your soul, but the enemies of your soul held
-
you captive. And thank God, the spirit of God came in,
-
and the spirit of God begin to woo you and
-
to draw you unto the Father. And thank God, we
-
can say this morning we are saved, but perhaps not
-
every person in this building is saved. But I pray
-
that before you leave this place, that you will have
-
a spiritual exodus, if you are living in a spiritual exile,
-
and may God give you an exodus from your exile.
-
And so in the land of Babylon, the prophet Jeremiah
-
had told them that while they were there they would
-
spend seventy years in exile. And the Bible students and
-
readers will remember reading of a different time in the
-
history of the Israelites, when they were held as captives
-
in the land of Egypt. That is the most familiar
-
exodus to the Bible reader and the Bible student. I
-
dare say that every person in this building today has
-
heard about the Hebrews exodus from the land of Egypt.
-
Both of these exoduses are somewhat very significant, even concerning
-
us as Christians or believers. You see, at the time
-
of these two exoduses, there were different circumstances concerning the
-
very first exodus. The Israelites made the exodus from exile
-
under the leadership of the meek pastor Moses. Those of
-
you that know anything about sin, you know oftentimes Egypt
-
is referred to as sin. It is a symbol of
-
a bondage in the Word of God. It can symbolize
-
spiritual darkness or spiritual captivity. In the Red Back Hymnal,
-
we sing a song and the lyrics go something like this,
-
Egypt was once my home. I was enslaved, I was
-
held captive. But thank God for liberation of soul, mind
-
and spirit by the powerful hand of Almighty God. When
-
the Israelites left Egypt. It seems that most of the
-
Hebrews at that time were chapping at the bit or
-
bitten at the bit in order to make their is
-
to flee the land of Egypt. I know there's people
-
in this building. You can tell me that you got
-
sick and tired of your lifestyle while living in sin.
-
You were not happy to be held captive by the
-
strong influences of the enemy. You were not happy by
-
the spirit of this world and the lust of the
-
flesh doing whatsoever it wanted to do with you. For truly,
-
before you came unto subjection, unto the spirit of God
-
and the nature of Jesus Christ, sin dominated you. And
-
we know that the apostle Paul felt, just like we do,
-
that sin should not have dominion over you. And so
-
these people that are descendants of Abraham, they felt the
-
need to get out of this land of Egypt. And
-
I don't understand how it is that so many people
-
in this world today have no desire whatsoever to make
-
an exodus from exile. I don't get the enthusiasm. But
-
the Bible said that sin would be pleasurable for a season,
-
that there would be temporal joy and happiness and pleasure
-
while living in a lifestyle of sin. But brother Jesse,
-
the children of Israel who had become the children of bondage,
-
they welcomed an opportunity for self em betterment for themselves
-
and also for their children. They're glad they've invited this.
-
They prayed for this, they've cried out for this, and
-
God heard them. They were under the tyranny and the
-
iron fist of the Egyptian Pharaoh, and no doubt they
-
had prayed for wings to take their flight, to make
-
their departure from this lifestyle of Egypt in bondage. They toiled,
-
and they labored against their own will. Perhaps it was
-
hundreds of thousands of people, if not a million or more,
-
that left Egypt that day under the command of Moses,
-
those that were willing to do exactly as God had
-
told Moses they should do. But during this exodus in
-
the days of Ezra, not as many were on board
-
with leadership. Not as many were willing to leave Babylon.
-
In fact, you will find that only a handful, or
-
a remnant, so to speak, were willing to make their
-
exodus from this particular land of exile, Babylon. Most would
-
have thought that everybody would have been on a when
-
the Hebrew spiritual leaders begin to let him know that
-
God is saying it is time for your deliberance. But
-
not everybody was on board when the prophet and the
-
priest Ezra begin to preach and say, hey, Hope is
-
not only standing outside the door. Hope has opened the
-
door for an opportunity of deliberance. Again. I'm preaching a
-
message the Holy Girls tied up great opportunity and great
-
opposition at the same time. I don't believe that the
-
spiritual leadership over the Hebrews in Babylon at that time
-
expected this reaction. It's the same feeling that the elders
-
and the leadership at Bethel'll get. Sometimes when we enter
-
a season of revival, we can tell that God is
-
receiving the church with wide open arms, and there's a
-
great opportunity before them for restoration, renewal, rejuvenation, and revive home.
-
But the priest Ezra, who had been born in Babylon,
-
no doubt of the lineage of the priest, he's getting
-
stirred in a spirit and he's telling people it is
-
time for us to leave this place. But not everybody
-
is on aboard, and not everybody is of the same mind.
-
Fast forwarding to the New Testament, the apostle Paul, speaking
-
in the Book of Philippians around that fourth chapter, he
-
spoke to two women that were gathered together in a
-
house of worship, and he said, you a diason SENTICKI
-
I beseech these sisters, and that you be a the
-
same mind concerning the things of God, concerning worship, power,
-
concerning the words of God. But in this time of
-
Ezra's preaching, not everybody is warmly receiving it. And even
-
this morning, that's the spirit of God. What's moving amongst
-
seventy seven people, there might have been three or four
-
people that just did not get why you are so
-
excited about going to see the King. That I could
-
tell the seventy plus people are sick and tired of
-
the influences of the spirit of this world. And about
-
seventy plus people are so through with it. They welcome
-
the staging of the archangel. They look forward to the
-
opportunity of hearing him a blood you, that golden trumpet,
-
and to hear the bridegroom himself say, come away, my
-
fair one, and enter into the joys of the Lord.
-
But not everybody is welcoming an opportunity of great salvation,
-
and not everybody is welcoming an opportunity of great deliberance.
-
And I don't know about y'all, but I like her
-
leaving the Biblonsa and the exoduses of self. I like
-
leaving the spirit of the world and for the Spirit
-
of God. I believe in it. I believe that the
-
Church must and have the same mind. And according to
-
the first few verses in the Book of Exodus, you
-
can find that a pagan king named Cyrus and has
-
felt inspired them by the Lord God of Heaven to
-
send the Hebrew people back into their own land. Not
-
only is he offering them release, he is giving them
-
an opportunity to build the House of God. Yet again,
-
this man is no doubt inspired, an auctioned of God
-
to do something a wonderful. It is the fulfillment of
-
the prophecy of Jeremiah when Jeremiah prophesied and proclaimed that
-
the Lord would stir up at some time a pagan
-
dictator in the land, the king of Persia. And this
-
king goes so far has to put it in writing
-
that the Lord God of Heaven and established him as
-
king over all of the nations of the earth. Isn't
-
it interesting to you right now that God could speak
-
into the heart of a pagan king and that pagan
-
King Caesar the opportunity by the four locks, and it
-
seemed like his selfish desires would have said, as the
-
Egyptian pharaoh had said, I don't want to lose and
-
all of this labor force, and I don't want to
-
lose all all of these residitions her Bablon. But he
-
acknowledged the spirit of God was behind it, and he
-
embraced the opportunity to send forth to these Hebrews. And
-
I've already said it, I want to say it again,
-
But most were unwilling to go, I said, most were
-
unwilling to go holy a handful of people. This reminds
-
me of the Upper Room. Jesus had ascended it to
-
his father prior to his assision. He told some together
-
hidden up per room. Jesus knew which room to reserve,
-
because Jesus knew about one hundred and twenty would be
-
in attendance. And while those one hundred and twenty were
-
in attendance, the Bible said, the spiritum of God descended
-
in that place, and they were filled with the Holy ghost.
-
And after they were in the same mind. After there
-
was a like minded This concerning worship, concerning prayer, concerning praise,
-
and I want to preach to somebody in this building
-
this morning. You have not yet to realized a great,
-
if not golden, opportunity that God has presented you with.
-
And the reason for that is you don't realize the
-
opposition that is great against you embracing her the opportunity.
-
If people could just see, it's the devil that's hindering me.
-
While the Lord is working in me, both to will
-
and ado of his good pleasure. Lucifer is also working.
-
We cover ourselves sometimes with the comforter through these words,
-
and we say, the Lord is the Keeper of Israel.
-
The Lord neither slumbers nor sleeps, And can I tell you,
-
nor does the devil. Every time God presents an opportunity
-
for one of his children, the opposition comes, the accuser
-
of the brethren comes. The Bible said that Jesus knew
-
his ministry was about to begin at the age of thirty.
-
There are many reasons for that. The god side of
-
the god Man had an ability to preach beyond anybody
-
his senior. While he was at the age of twelve,
-
he was operating in the office of counselor or ya
-
with me and the leaders of the Hebrew's religion Judaism.
-
They marveled and said, how is it that a little
-
little grasshopper, a little whipper snapper could know the things
-
concerning the Word of God that this young man knows.
-
But around the age of thirty, and young ministers consider
-
this before taking a pastorate. Around the age of thirty,
-
he would have been accepted as a man. He would
-
have been accepted and respected of somebody that's lived a
-
little while, and that would have understood the ropes of life,
-
the ways of life. And so he began his ministry
-
at thirty. But Brother erin one thing I took note
-
of as I was praying about this message. He had
-
to go into the wilderness. And it was not the
-
opposition that led him to that opportunity. It was the
-
Holy Ghost. He was the orchestrator and the organizer. The
-
Bible said that Jesus, basically in the Holy Ghost and
-
led of the spirit, went into the wilderness to be
-
tipted of the devil for a period of time and
-
act that same time. Are y'all getting that to act
-
that same time in his life, act that same period,
-
act that same moment, And he's going in there to
-
be in large, although the god Man can't get any larger.
-
He's one hundred percent God, he's one hundred percent man,
-
he's deity. But he's going in there to get prepared further.
-
The the man side of the god Man is sacrificing
-
the flesh. The man's side of the god Man is
-
being led to be tempted of the devil, and he
-
will be an overcomer if he defeats the opposition. And
-
the only way he will defeat the opposition is through
-
the word of God. And he lets the devil know
-
right off that the man part of the God Man
-
does not have the words necessary in order to defeat
-
you and to overcome the lust of the flesh and
-
the pride of life. But the god part of the
-
god Man referred back to what is written. And I
-
want you to acknowledge here this morning that everything that
-
I'm preaching them is the word of God. It is
-
not surmising on my part. It is scripture. It is
-
not self talk in his spirit talk. His words are
-
spirited and his words are life. And the reason why
-
you're missing the gold and opportunities in your life, it's
-
because you're being defeated by the adversary. You're being overcome
-
by the opposition. I know the devil does not like
-
me teaching you this this morning. But when you realize,
-
even in the blessing times of God, the devil will
-
barge in with our permission and try to steal your blessing,
-
you the thought of angelic being similar to that that
-
protects the garden of Eden, would have protected Jesus from
-
this hour of temptation, from this hour of testing, this
-
hour of trial. You would think so, right Jesus even
-
one time he said, brethren, I want you to know
-
what you're doing is only because we've allowed you to
-
do it. And he said I could call down twelve
-
lesions of angels right now, and he demonstrated by his
-
spoken word. With three words, he identified himself as deity.
-
He said, I am he. And at that moment, six
-
hundred people who thought they were looking for I am
-
here Roman soldiers they hit their knees and fell on
-
their face because of three words that he spoke. And
-
Ezra in our text, he's getting anointed, if you would.
-
He's standing on the edge of the platform and he's
-
telling people. The prophecy of Jeremiah has been fulfilled. Time
-
is up. It is now time for a change of heart.
-
It is now a time for a change of master.
-
It is now time for a change of season. And
-
it's time for us to go and look behind us.
-
The currents of Cyrus is driving us to our homeland.
-
Look behind us, where is the opposition? Seemingly God removes
-
all excuses from their hands. Sister, howel it can't be
-
said in this exodus that the Egyptian pharaoh's fighting. It
-
can't be said that the Babylonian emperor or Cyrus, king
-
of Persia, is fighting. Come here, brother Philip. In fact,
-
Cyrus is saying, what you all need to do his
-
goal and build your house of worship. What you all
-
need to do is go and do whatever it is
-
you do inside of the house of worship. He knew
-
good well that the God of the Hebrews was the
-
same then as he had been according to the Babylonian
-
record books. He was one that delivered his people from
-
the burning fiery furnace. He was one that delivered his
-
people from the mouth of hungry lions in a din
-
of lions. This man knows that he knows that God
-
spared Daniel through kingdom after kingdom after kingdom, And he
-
knows what God did the babylon whenever he humblem never
-
conness her. He knows what God can do to him.
-
He knows he must submit to the will and the
-
plan of God. The wowl life. He is that that
-
God's people are not getting with the program. Ezra's preaching.
-
Ezra's preaching. It's time. It's time. He's saying, it's time.
-
It's time. It's time. It's time, it's time. It's time.
-
Come here, brother Caleb, brother Philip, keep that up. Time,
-
it's time. It's time. It's time. They're not worried about Cyrus,
-
it's time. They're not worried about the Syrian army. It's time.
-
Worried about the Babylonian army. Now about the Syrian army.
-
They're not worried about the Egyptian army. But for some
-
reason that just cannot get a hold of The preacher
-
says the time. The preacher's preaching, and as was a
-
telling them, you better go and do what God told
-
you to do. It's the time you've got to build
-
the Lord. You got to go back to the land
-
of Judah and do what God has commissioned you to do.
-
I'm telling somebody right now, there is an offered opportunity
-
for salvation. There is an offered opportunity for sanctification. There
-
is an opportunity for sanctification. There is an offered opportunity
-
for sanctification. There is an opportunity for holy ghost baptism.
-
There is a holy ghost opportunity right here today. My
-
question of you is why not just stand up and
-
start your march back into the will and the plan
-
of God where the blessings of God flow. He offered
-
the Hebrews an opportunity of a lifetime. Brother Caleb Roquat
-
preached to us last Sunday morning about a promise, and
-
he talked about that olive branch and how that was extended.
-
And I thank God for promises. I don't want to
-
bury them. I thank God for soldiers of the Cross.
-
I don't want them to remain on the sidelines with
-
their swords in the scabbard and their slings in a satchel. Oh,
-
come on, now, some of you are getting it. An
-
opportunity of a lifetime. They can go and they can
-
build the House of the Lord. At that point of time,
-
people feel like they can come to the Lord at
-
a more convenient time. The Bible said, no man coming
-
to the Father unless the Spirit draw him. And I
-
can tell you when the Spirit is drawing you the
-
same way as renew when the spirit of God's own
-
even Cyrus. Oh, come on now, y'all live in America,
-
the land of the Free, the home of the brave.
-
They tell me, we have freedom of speech and freedom
-
of worship. What would you do if you lived overseas
-
in Iran right now and was being attacked by the
-
United States government at the same time as a Christian
-
being persecuted by your people. You do realize the Bible
-
said all that lived godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
-
It doesn't only have to happen on Cuban or Venezuelan
-
or Iranian or Iraqian soil. There can be some things
-
that come to these United States. Come come on. Historically,
-
Israel has proven to us that God's special little somebody
-
can experience the wrath of Almighty God because of civil
-
disobedience and because of disobedience to the world and the
-
will of God. And there is a purpose for God
-
saying get out. There is a purpose for God saying
-
this time because Cyrus, it's not always I said, Cyrus
-
is not always gonna be an emperor. During the First Exodus,
-
the Bible said, there rose a pharaoh. Prior to the
-
First Exodus, there arose a pharaoh that knew not Joseph.
-
And if he knew not Joseph, he knew not Joseph's daddy.
-
Come on, now, are y'all with me? And people says
-
to how it's like they've grown accustomed and acclimated to
-
the conditions in Babylon. They've learned how to live in Babylon.
-
I agree, we need to learn how to survive and
-
thrive in Babylon. Whenever we're paying punishment that's due us.
-
At the prophet Jeremiah said, you got to go through it.
-
You got to pay the penalty. You got to pay
-
the price. But when God says, you know what justice
-
has been served, the penalty, the sindate has been paid.
-
You've got to step out of exceis and go into
-
the land of Promise. And here they are just a
-
handful of sister wooting, just a handful. The first Exodus,
-
hundreds of thousands, if not millions, that God is sustaining.
-
And in this particular exile, in this particular exodus of Babylon,
-
I think it's one or two or three, Brother Jesse,
-
just a handful of people, just a handful of people. Well,
-
I see the same people get touched in revival, will
-
have to revival. The time had come. At this time,
-
the Bible said, some strengthen their hands. Not only did
-
they strengthen their hands, according to the word of God,
-
some gathered vessels and materials of silver and gold. They
-
had a plan, and some took with them beasts of
-
burdens and precious things. And Cyrus was okay with them
-
spoiling the land of Babylon. The Egyptian pharaoh wasn't happy
-
at all about them spoiling them. What I'm trying to
-
tell you is there's a difference in this first and
-
second exodus. Here on the first exodus, everybody's excited, how
-
about going. They're knocking down doors, so to speak, They're
-
crossing seas and oceans literally. And Cyrus is okay with
-
this particular exodus taking place because God is in it.
-
You know why, because God's timing is perfect. But in short,
-
there's only a few that will return with the Rebelba.
-
Look at the first part of our golden text, Exodus,
-
chapter number five and verse number two. It says, then
-
rose up zer rubible, then rose ups a rubbible. Where
-
are our Zerubibles today? Where are our zealous Zerubibles today
-
that will believe the words of God that have been
-
spoken out of the mouths of Ezras? And the Bible said,
-
after he rose up to go, he got there, because
-
there's a phrase in there say he began to build.
-
Everyone knows the story of the destruction of Sodom and
-
Gamar found in the nineteenth chapter of Genesis. God had
-
told them through his servant, the Prophet, that secret had
-
been revealed. Abraham knows about it, and not even knows
-
about it. There's trouble coming. The Lord had discussed his
-
desire with Abraham to destroy the cities of Sodom and Gamar.
-
Why would the Lord do such a thing, the Bible records,
-
because of their their gross sins, their idolatry, and their homosexuality.
-
God's going to destroy two sister cities named Sodom and Gamara.
-
The Lord revealed his secret, and Lot's family lingered. While
-
God was given a promise to Abraham, I will preserve
-
the righteous. And while Abraham is bargaining with the Lord
-
and saying, God, if we find only ten, we'll just
-
spare them sister cities. And God said, yes, if I
-
find only ten, I will spare them sister cities. But
-
Locke continued to linger, and I want to tell somebody
-
in this building, your lingering will be your doom. It's
-
more than skipping out on a church workday opportunity, skipping
-
out on a revival moment, a revival time, a revival opportunity.
-
The Lord revealed, and the Lord made us plan on
-
God's words are yay and aymen, the righteous can be spared,
-
But will they are they in fact righteous? God's sin
-
Angelic messengers inside the wicked city to confirm with what
-
seemed to be fleshly eyes of the ungodly actions. And
-
he tried his best to persuade those that were lingering
-
to go into a safer place. And that's what Ezra
-
and Cyrus know. The people of God do not belong
-
in the land of Babilah. And I'm telling you there
-
is a reason for this great opportunity. The opposition is
-
there because the opposition wants to destroy your life the
-
same way the tyrant, the Egyptian pharaoh wanted to destroy
-
the lives of God's people. I know you was raised
-
in the house of God, but God does not make
-
you except for the destruction of the enemy of your soul.
-
At the same time, this morning, there's people who has
-
their minds stayed on the Lord, while others have strayed
-
from the Lord. There's some who have stayed, and there
-
are some who have strayed. And I want you to
-
know what will it be said of you? Did they
-
stay or did they stray? Because some brother Nathaniel did
-
not leave Egypt, some or Lot did not leave, baby
-
lad on the first wave. And I'm telling you you
-
better get ready and take the first caravan out of here.
-
I said, you better take the first caravan out of
-
your sinful lifestyle. Them, Colonel DOESSI years of them, moly emotions.
-
Oh come on, the lust of the pleasure, the pride
-
of life. You better make your escape from exile. Why
-
the message was clear concerning all of these examples. Destruction
-
is coming. Get up and get out and flee and
-
run escape for your life. The time has come. You
-
better get up while you can the time is now,
-
God said, it's time. Now's the time. One would think
-
the city of Sodom and the city of Gamar would
-
have begin an evacuation. One would think the time is
-
now that there would have begun an emergency evacuation. But
-
Lime is now sitting there. And I'm telling you lingering
-
can be the doom of you and your family. In fact,
-
the entire cities of Sadom Agamar lingered because Lot lingered.
-
Oh the loss of Lot. The same day he was warned,
-
the fire fell at the same time, so to speak,
-
on the same day when Lot gained his wife lost
-
Lot's wife lost hers. I said, at the same time,
-
when Lot preserved his life, his wife lost hers. That
-
could happen right in the middle of a great Holy
-
ghost outbreak, right in the middle of a great pythod,
-
when the early Church was experiencing revival, when a man
-
like Barnabas was giving everything he had and laying it
-
out to the apostle speech and a nasense ofphire was
-
conjuring up and concocting laws and lying to the Holy ghost.
-
I'm telling you, God knows if you're seeking an opportunity
-
to get out to God, if you're seeking an opportunity
-
to get out, I said, Oh, God knows if you're
-
seeking an opportunity to entertain sin. I said, if you're
-
a seeker an opportunity to entertain sin, the opposition will
-
no doubt overtake you. Yeah, Lot, you lingered long enough
-
to put doubt in your wife's mind, to put doubt
-
in your daughter's mind, while you stood at the door,
-
while homosexual men wanted to defile angelic beings, while deliverance
-
was there at the same time, you offer birds and
-
daughters at the same time. Oh, come on now, while
-
there's holy sacrifice, that's an unholy offering. Had to backtoy.
-
I tell us somebody in this building. God knows whether
-
or not you're gonna embrace this golden opportunity that for
-
being over taken by the our position. Pray for me, Church,
-
I feel the Holy ghost Jesus set in Luke, chapter
-
number seventeen, in verse number thirty two, he said, three
-
short words, Remember Lot's wife, what is the lesson for
-
us to learn from this? She didn't make it in
-
the middle of an exile, in the middle of an exodus,
-
in the middle of a deliverance. She didn't make it.
-
Somewhere between captivity and freedom, she got held up. I
-
feel the Holy Ghost in this place, right in the
-
middle of God, blessing a holiness church, right in the
-
middle of God giving gifts and the men, right in
-
the middle of God equip in the church with the
-
best gifts, apostles, preachers, teachers of Vangelis for the perfecting
-
of the church, right in the middle of some saying,
-
finally I got that pastor I needed. Finally I got
-
that first lady I needed. Finally I'm being fed. Let
-
me somebody come on now, being over taken by the opposition,
-
I'll tell you how you end up in the hands
-
of the opposition is when you begin to wonder along
-
the borders. Oh, come on now, between this world and
-
not church. Remember Lot's wife, Yes, Jesus, what is there
-
the learn? And as I was praying, the Holy Ghost
-
brought this example to mine. Little did I know they
-
are the next verses behind Jesus saying, remember Lot's wife.
-
That's the power of the Holy Ghost. When and when
-
praying the very next verse after Jesus said remember Lot's wife,
-
he said, whosoever shall seek to save his life shall
-
lose it, and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
-
I tell you, in the night, there shall be two
-
men in one bed. Oh, come on now. The one
-
shall be taken and the other shall be left. Two
-
women shall be grinding together. The one shall be taken
-
and the other left. Are you all getting there at
-
the same time? Opportunity and opposition. Naomi can preach this
-
message better than any holiness preacher will ever preach it.
-
She gave us the lesson of opportunity and opposition when
-
she spoke to orpap and she said, I'm going back.
-
I'm making my exodus from this land of exile. It
-
may be the homeland of a Limileachum, excile, may be
-
his preference, but I'm going back to the house of
-
her bread. And she said, Orpah, what will it be?
-
Will you go back to your mama or will you
-
go with me your mother in law? And the Orpa
-
kissed Nao man and said, thank her for the opportunity,
-
but no thanks. I wonder what the opposition did. The Orpa,
-
I said, I wonder what the opposition did. The Orpa
-
I said, I wonder what the opposition The nasty, filthy
-
Pagan more Abs, the more bos did the Orpa. I
-
wonder how many newborn she had to sacrifice to the
-
gods over the land of moabb. I wonder how great
-
the loss was. Embrace the opportunity, Orpa, while Ruth embraces
-
the opportunity at the same time. At the same moment,
-
Ruth walks onto the pages of history, and she just
-
continues walking while Orpa disappears in the prison house of Opposition.
-
Luke's on marching, Ruth's on marching, and sister wooting whenever
-
Ruth long story short, held old bed and old bed said,
-
let me go to grandma. And Grandma picked up old bed,
-
and Grandma had left the land of the Moabites. She
-
come back home. She's holding little old bed. All them
-
women said, is this Naomi? She said, don't you call
-
me Naomi, call me Mara, because God all might has
-
been a bitter towards me. He just eating me so bad.
-
I say. Later on, though, when she's hoholding no bed,
-
somebody come in and said, well, your preference is that
-
I call you Maria. I can hear it. Now, shut up,
-
never call me that again. Look right here, because Naomi
-
and Ruth made their ex al. At some point, you're
-
gonna get sick and tired of letting that cell phone
-
be your ruler. At some point, you're gonna get sick
-
and tired of spend an hour, two or three hours
-
on social media every day. I was praying a couple
-
of nights ago, and God spoke to me and said,
-
ask them, are there as many fingerprints on their Bible
-
as there is their cell phone? Huh? Are there as
-
many fingerprints on your Bible as there is on your
-
cell phone? Oh, come on now, sweet Lamb of God,
-
it's the words of Jesus. Two women shall be grinding together.
-
The one shall be taken in the other left at
-
the same time. Since the Irish wooving will be pushing
-
and crying and shouting. Although she could barely walk into
-
the service, she'll be shouting and pushing and crying and
-
getting in, grinding to the glory of God, grinding Amen,
-
fighting the good fight, laying hold on eternal life. And
-
there'll be somebody else seemingly out the grinder. But they
-
ain't putting enough helbow Gree sent it. I said they
-
ain't putting enough helbow Gree said it. In fact, their
-
elbows have not been over their shoulders in a long time.
-
They ain't lifting up holy hands without rating doubting in
-
a long time. I'm telling you to behoove us to
-
put a little more elbow grease in up and the
-
welcome the revival that the Lord is sending us pushing away.
-
A dear friend of mine recently, he said, how do
-
you feel about end time prophecy? Are you pre post
-
mid trip? What are you? I said, I'm gonna keep
-
you guessing for as long as you live. I'm not
-
gonna tell you, I said, but we better be ready
-
to get out of here on a first shipment. I
-
don't know if we're going by lamb by, said the
-
old songwriter said, I don't guess we'll need wings, But
-
you know what, I want to get out of here.
-
I don't know that we're promised another revival, because we're
-
not promised tomorrow. I don't know that your promise another day.
-
That a Syrian or a Persian captor would come in
-
and say, so to speak, figuratively speaking, here's the gate,
-
keys to Babylon. Unlock the gate for these Hebrews, Cyrus, Cyrus,
-
unluck at yourself. Welcome as they leave, tell them what
-
to do, as was a preaching, it's time. Now's the time,
-
It's time, now's the time. At the same time, some
-
will be left, while others are taken, some lost, some taken.
-
Lot was delivered, his wife was destroyed on the same day.
-
Lot was delivered. His wife was destroyed on the same day.
-
Lot was delivered. His wife was destroyed on the same day.
-
At the same time, I'm asking you what will it be?
-
Will it be delivered or destruction? Then rose up their rubberble,
-
and he began to build. Then it rose up the
-
rubble and he began to build. And after the same
-
time came to them tt Na, the governor on this
-
side of the river, and he questioned them concerning their
-
labors that they are. At the same time, while they
-
arose and begin to build, at the same time came
-
the opposition. At the same time came the opposition. And
-
can I tell you that because they hesitated when they
-
were building the temple. The prophet Hagi, he got stirred up,
-
and they started saying, you need to finish this work
-
you've started. You need to finish it. You need to
-
finish this work that you started. While Ezra's preaching, you
-
need to finish it. Time, come on, you need to
-
finish it. Heng God, God, you need to finish this.
-
Tell you come too far to turn off. With the
-
Israelies neglecting to build the temple, and hag Yll motivated
-
some and they decided to get bid. Is he doing
-
the right things? They decided to be easy, doing the
-
right things because of their picture of Israel, and hang, y'all,
-
are you gonna get guysie right now? Some are choosing
-
deliverance while others might choose destruction. Thank you, brothers, Cyrus
-
had given them authority. In our Golden text, we see
-
great opportunity and great opposition at the same time. Let us,
-
as children of God, get a burning desire to do something.
-
And you know what, when you do, some enemy of
-
your soul will fight you over it. And I want
-
to close with this. It is said by the prophet
-
Isaiah in the year Sure that King Euzaih died. I
-
saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne high and
-
lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Usaigh was
-
a wonderful king, and the nation of Israel was devastated
-
at his death, and the Prophet Isaiah said, I saw
-
the Lord. I saw the Lord. He's still a conqueror.
-
His train fills his temple. There's some of you right now.
-
I want you to just humble yourself and say God,
-
I don't want to let opportunity pass me by. Could
-
we get someone to play and some to sing? In closing,
-
as these altars are filled, they're full even now as
-
people are praying. I want to ask you to get
-
your clock in sink with God's clock. Then rose ups
-
a rubbible. Get your clock in sync with God's clock. Well,
-
can something bad happen to me while something good happens
-
to others? One was taken, the other left. Both were grinding,
-
Both were resting seemingly peacefully. One was taken, one was left.
-
As you pray, I want to leave this with you.
-
Years ago, I read when John Wilkes Booth assassinated President
-
Abraham Lincoln. At that same time in history, the Secret
-
Surface was being formed by the United States government, while
-
the opposition the assassin was taken the life of one
-
of America's most beloved presidents. The secret of us was
-
being formed. Can I tell you it was too late?
-
It was too late to deal with the opposition at
-
that point. Don't wait until it's too late. Don't wait
-
until your beloved is gone to do something about the opposition.
