Running With The Footmen - Bro Ray Asher 3-15-2026

From my shin down is an absolute mass of steel, plates, rods, screws,

things that held chips and pieces and powder bone together

because there wasn't anything left. I still have stiffness sometimes

where I have to break it loose. This leg is

a quarter inch shorter than this leg, all because I

tried to navigate in the dark, All because I made

a wrong step in the dark. I didn't walk a

mile in the dark. I made one wrong step in

the dark. You don't have to You don't have to

be in the dark for years years, just moment, just

a tiny moment. And every time that I wake up

in the morning, or I've drove a while and I

have to get out and I have to pop that

heel or an ankle loose, that doctor told me I

wouldn't even have an ankle, but I do. Lord gave

me one. I can walk, I can run. I can't

get around now. A lot of times it's pain. I

just learn to live with it. And every time I

do that, Brother, how I remember, this is what happens

when you walk in the dark.

Lord help me, I want to go to the book

of Jeremiah. Please Jeremiah Jeremiah chapter twelve and verse five.

If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have

wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? And

if in the land of peace, wherein thou trusted, they

wearied thee, how wilt thou do in the swelling of

the Jordan.

A man who was a highly highly highly decorated man

of Special Forces. He was a Special Forces soldier, very

highly decorated, was asked in an interview, what makes you

different than, say, uh, someone else. He said, it's quite simple.

He said, it's all in training. He said. There are

some in life the train till they get it right.

He said, then there are some who train till they

can't get it wrong. We're all journey in heaven. I

want more than just to get it right. I want

it Brother Dylan.

So ingrained in my soul, so ingrained in my thought process,

so ingrained in the way I read the word of God,

so ingrained in the way I pray, so in the.

Grain, in the way I preach. I don't want just

get it right. I want to have it in me

to not be able to get it wrong. And I

believe that there is a place we can get where

can be like that.

We don't have to stumble around in the darkness. We

don't have to stumble around as if we're blind.

footman in this context here was the infantry in any

battle in that day in time. The footman led the

way the cavalry didn't. The footman did. The footman marched

in rank, the footman marched in order. They didn't just

wander around blindly. If you've ever seen a picture of

a of a Roman.

Legion marching, it looked like one marching.

If you ever seen a picture of a of a

of a Spartan pholex, it was one amen, they marched

as one. He meant to go to pass island and

sometime or some military base, and watched them out on

the field. They march in order, they run in order,

they go in order, they go by rank. Hemen, it's

not a rebel, it's not a happened chance, it's in order.

And here the Lord is speaking through the prophet. Jeremiah said,

to people who have become rebellious, people who have become scattered,

people have become hemen, I discontented. He says, you've been

riding with the footman, and you got.

Tired of it. You got tired of the order. You

got tired of the heymen, of the structure.

You got tired of Hamen having to do things a

certain way. You got tired, hemen, of having somebody tell

you how to do it.

You got tired of them.

Hamen, we are telling you when you done it wrong,

I'll tell you couldn't do it wrong. And he said,

and because they wearied you in this place of word,

what are you gonna do when the horses come? What

are you gonna do then? And then he'd be He

followed that straight up and said, and if in a

land of peace, you could trust there. Things were in order,

things were structured. There's there's peace in structure. There's peace

in order. Amen. I can remember my son. His friends

would come to the house, and in our house, we

didn't have a television, we didn't have the entertainment things

that they had in their houses, but they would come

because there was a mom and a dad there and

there were structure in that home. And there was times

when his little friends would come and because they didn't

have any structure in their home, they would seek the

structure in our Amen. And there are visitors sometimes that

come to the Holiness Church. And I'm not talking about

a name over the door, because sometimes that shows no structure,

and that shows no order. Holiness is a structured thing.

Holiness is an ordered thing. Worship is structured hemen, preaching

is structured.

Service is structured.

Amen. Amen. And some, because there's no structure there, they

come in for a little while and they run with

the footmen. They locked the way we run. They locked

the order.

They lock it that.

There's somebody standing beside them.

Theycked it. They're in right, Camen.

But the problem is with some they soon.

Grow weary of that. They are tired of it.

They were going back to just everything just says, I

want it to be everything, just unstructured, just everything on

the order anarchy man. And then later on down the road, hemen,

the horsemen come. Later on down the road, the Jordan

swells up. And this was what God was warning through

the prophet. Amen. And I want to preach for just

a few minutes this morning. I'm running with the footman. Amen.

Running with the footman. Amen. Can I tell you there

is something great about being in fellowship with footmen? Amen. Amen.

There was three things that just come to me this morning,

Brother howl as I was praying, hemen about about the

fellowship of the footman. Amen. I like the place where

the footmen are. Hemen. The footmen are in the house

of God. The footmen are running. We're in the house

of the Lord. Amen. This is God's house. This is

a temple of the Almighty God. Amen. Hemen.

I like that place that they're at.

Amen. Amen.

I also like the pace of the footman. Amen. The

pace of the footman. We know it's holiness. Amen. It

doesn't change up. It isn't holy.

One day and werely the next day and he met

Colonel the next day, something else the next day.

But the pace stays the same. Amen.

The message stays the safe, the worship stays the safe. Hemen,

he been, Oh God to God. We're still lifting our pants.

We're still hollered at Hallelujah. We're still hollering praise the Lord.

We're still telling them come out from among them and

be separate, saith the Lord. We're still telling them that

there's blood that can wash your sins away. We're still

telling them that there's a sanctifying grace of God. We're

still telling them that there's a baptism of the Holy

Ghost with the abdence of speaking in other tongues that

you can have. Amen. Amen. Have you ever seen anybody

trying to march? Amen when there wasn't in the same pace? Amen. Amen.

Why do you think that old drill instructor hollered out

left right, left right, left right, because the entire group

has to be doing it that way? Amen, he mean over.

In the Old Testament, in the Book of Judges, we're

told about a battle where there were seven hundred soldiers,

all left handed, who could sling a stone out of

hair breadth and not miss. Why were they all left handed.

I will show you why, Because if brother Jeremy Howe

is slinging with his sling right handed and I'm slinging

left handed, we are hitting each other's arms. Amen. But

when we're all standing in rank and everybody's slinging with

the same arm, we're all slinging in the same direction.

to keep pace when we're all going in the same direction,

you say the table of the Lord is contemptible? And

if you offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil?

If you offer the lame and sick, is it not evil?

Offer none of thy governor? We be pleased with thee

or accept thy person saith the Lord of Hosts. Hemen

verse verse eleven says, for from the rising of the sun,

even until the glowing down of the same, my name

shall be great among the gentiles. Who's he talking to here?

Who is he talking to? When he has to tell them,

my name's gonna be great among the gentiles. He is

talking to Israel. He meant for the from the going

down of the sun, even to the right going down

of the same, my name shall be great among the gentiles.

And in every place incidse shall be offered under my name,

and a pure offering for my name shall be great

among the heathen. Saveth the Lord of Hosts.

But ye have profaned it.

And now you say, the table of the Lord is polluted,

and the fruit thereof, even his meat, is contemptible. You said, also, behold,

listen to this, what a weariness it is.

It's just so wearisome Haman hearing that all the time.

Don't Jeremy Haw or Ray Asher have any other message

They don't want a scheduled preacher. They want a free

That there is no place clean. How did it get

like that?

You got tired of it being clean, You got tired

of it being order.

sticking together. You got tired of fellowship with the footman.

You're contenting with the horses. Now you don't know what.

You're getting run over in every direction.

You don't know which way to go. All that somebody

had stretched a hand to heaven and say, thank God

for order, thank God for structure.

given some pastors and evangelists and teachers and prophets. Why

it tells you for the perfecting.

Didn't have that big Bible under arm because her hands

was lifted up praising God, because the Holy Ghost had

led her away from the tables of filth and vomit hamen,

away from the tables of filthiness. And now she looked

at the footman and said, I want to run with you. Amen.

I be way off by saying there are multitudes that

just got tired. The reason they got tired is they

really never knew him. My mom the work in progress

when she was alive. Like I say, Mom got saved

in revival, I was preaching. That's saying if I got

the Holy Ghost in revival, I was preaching. I was

preaching the revival. Mom would ask me crazy questions. One

question she would ask me sometimes she said, well, I'm

gonna do it heaven all the time. She said, we're

gonna be there for bands and bands and bands and

bands of years.

Won't we get bored? And I said, Mom, it's heaven.

It's with Jesus.

It's with him. If you're there, and there won't be

no more time. I know, time ends.

There won't be no such thing as time.

There'll be no time, but in eternity. Eternity won't be

long enough to know everything you can know about Jesus.

It's like a diamond that every every turn you make

you know what diamond starts out? As a rock? The

I read a story about our about a diamond cutter,

and he they brought him this huge diamond rock and

they said it for him, and he.

Looked at it for hours and hours and days.

He looked at it, and finally he picked up his

chisel and he made one tiny cut, and all of

a sudden, the glory of the beauty of it just

shone out. And they said, why did you wait so long?

He said, because one cut, one cut determines its value

from then on out. You cut the lord off and

your value has been determined. You cut the church off,

and your value has been determined. You cut holiness out

of your vocabulary and in your life, and your life

has been determined your value and every facet shines that

light no matter what angle you look at it. That's

what run. That's what the fellowship of the Footman leads to.

Brother Delan. In the military, you were trained with that

man beside you. He's more than just He's more than

just a piece of meat standing there. He's more than

just a salient being standing there. My life's in his hands,

and his life's in my hands.

of them. I had them ate before I got I

had fifty mile up the road. I was eating them

just like a like a squirrel eating peanuts. I just

he could have just started it with taste.
