Amen, Thank God for the messenger and the message. Amen.
-
May we stand for the reading of the Golden Text
-
Luke chapter number one, verses twenty six through thirty eight.
-
The Bible says, and in the sixth month, the Angel
-
Gabriel was sent from God into a city of Galilee
-
named Nazareth, to a vergin, a spouse to a man
-
whose name was Joseph of the House of David. And
-
the virgin's name was Mary. And the Angel came in
-
unto her and said, Hell, thou art highly favored. The
-
Lord is with thee blessed, art thou among women. And
-
when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying,
-
and casting her mind what manner of salutation this should be?
-
And the Angel said unto her, fear not, Mary, for
-
thou hast found favor with God. And behold, thou shalt
-
conceive in thy womb and bring forth a son, and
-
shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great and
-
shall be called the Son of the Highest. And the
-
Lord shall give unto him the throne of his father David.
-
And he shall reign over the House of Jacob forever
-
and of his kingdom, there shall be no end.
-
Praise the Lord. Why are we looking for his kingdom?
-
It's never ended, Then said Mary, unto the Angel house
-
shall this be? Seeing I know not a man? And
-
the Angel answered, and sadden to her. The Holy Ghost
-
shall come upon thee, and the power of the High
-
shall overshadow thee. Therefore, also that holy thing which shall
-
be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
-
And behold, thy cousin, Elizabeth. She hath also conceived a
-
son in her old age, and this is the sixth
-
month with her who was called bearing. For with God
-
nothing shall be impossible. And Mary said, behold the handmaid
-
of the Lord. Be it unto me according to thy word.
-
And the Angel departed from her. May we pray, Heavenly Father,
-
we understand the purpose of this morning's service. We thank
-
you for the opportunity and the privilege granted unto us
-
to dedicate brother Gabriel and Sister Candace's son, Gabriel Adian Valentine.
-
I pray God that you would anoint the ears of
-
this thy people, help them to hear what the spirit
-
of God says unto this group that has gathered here today.
-
Anoint my mouth set of God at my lips. I pray,
-
help me to say the things you would have me
-
to say, nothing more less. May we depart this place
-
joyfully and not sorrowfully. In Jesus's name. In the church said, Amen,
-
Praise the Lord. Looking at verse number twenty six, once again,
-
the Bible said, and in the sixth month, the angel
-
Gabriel was sent from God into a city of Galilee
-
named Nazareth. Our text is found in a New Testament
-
book of the Holy Bible, the Book of Saint Luke.
-
Most of the children of God present today are very
-
familiar with the writings of this author. You were familiar
-
with the fact that this man was a beloved physician,
-
meaning all whom he attended to during their times of
-
crisis loved and appreciated him because he knew how to
-
speak a word that was fitly spoken. The Bible said,
-
a word that has fitly spoken is like apples of
-
gold and pictures of silver. There's no doubt he had
-
great bedside manners. I'm sure this man knew how to
-
comfort those that were sick and to console those that
-
had lost their sick family members and loved ones. This
-
was the cream of the CROs concerning the physician's world.
-
And I believe, Brother Nathaniel, that God saw there was
-
a desire in this man's heart to forsake the materialistic
-
things of this world, which would have been readily available
-
and at his fingertips, because of how desperate so many
-
would have been for his service, and how they would
-
have been willing to spend their entire living for healing.
-
There's no doubt this man could have abused their finances
-
and become very wealthy. So rather than being a millionaire,
-
he wanted to be a messenger. So we find him
-
yoking up to men like the great Apostle Paul, and
-
interviewing eye witnesses, people that traveled with the Lord, people
-
that knew a lot about that heavenly messenger, the Messiah,
-
and his message. And he fell in love with the Lord,
-
and he abandoned his family practice, his occupy patient that
-
of a physician and making a lot of money, and
-
he decided to be one that would deliver the message.
-
Brother Gabriel, about nine months ago, I was praying, and
-
I was asking the Lord to speak to me concerning
-
your son. And as sure as I'm standing here, the
-
Lord revealed to me that it is possible for him
-
to become a mighty messenger for the Lord, that he
-
could be a warrior of words, a man that is
-
extremely wise and wily in speaking the words of truth.
-
And no doubt, Luke the Beloved Physician was such a man.
-
When you read his two writings, the Volumes of Luke
-
and Acts, you realize that this man was not supposed
-
to be an ignorant and unlearned person. This was not
-
a man that got his education because he traveled with Jesus.
-
This was not a man that got his anointing and
-
was able to put pen to parchment and write the
-
rest of the Bible. This was a man that was
-
highly and multi talented, and a man that made a
-
decision to follow the men of God who had tucked
-
under their arm the Gospel message. And he was a
-
blessing as a traveling companion to the Apostle Paul. There
-
is no doubt in my mind whatsoever that having a
-
position whom everybody loves is a blessing to have on
-
your ministry team. And so today he is a blessing
-
to us as the author of this sacred writing. Truly,
-
he was a man of endurance, a man of strength,
-
a warrior of God. He was a warrior of words.
-
When I look at his entry words, at the Book
-
of Acts, the way he opened that writing to us,
-
I can tell that this man was.
-
A warrior of words.
-
He had a way like no other of getting his
-
message across. He was a warrior of God through words.
-
He is an oracle or a mouthpiece of God. Unto
-
this day, both Luke and the Mighty Archangel Gabriel were
-
messengers of the Almighty God.
-
Can I tell you there is no greater occupation.
-
In this world available for any man or woman today
-
other than that of being a messenger of the Lord
-
Savior Jesus Christ. And as I sought the Lord months
-
ago about this service, again this came to me. The
-
Gabriel Adian can be a warrior with words like the man. Apolus,
-
a native of Alexandria. The Bible said he was very
-
familiar with the Baptism of John, and he knew that
-
Messiah was coming. And because he was a man of
-
eloquent speech, a man that was very very knowledgeable concern
-
earning the message and the ministry of John the Baptist.
-
He appears on the Sacred writ as a mighty warrior
-
of words, not just to his words. Apostle Paul said,
-
I did not come with excellency of speech. I did
-
not come to tickle the years of mankind or womankind.
-
But I came in demonstration and in power. And we
-
know that this man, Apolos, he needed an anointing, even
-
though he was able to persuade people to leave paganism
-
and substitute it for Judaism, and eventually to persuade people
-
to leave Judaism and substitute it for Christianity. The apostles,
-
they let him know, you need power that comes from God.
-
You need the end dwelling of the Holy Ghost.
-
In the earthly ministry of Jesus, Jesus selected seventy disciples.
-
Fifty eight of them defected eventually, and he was left
-
with twelve disciples to carry his divine message. And these
-
men publicly share the good news of the Messiah's mission
-
and message. And so this name Gabriel is a Hebrew
-
name meaning God.
-
Is my strength.
-
If you look at our Golden text again Luke chapter
-
number one, in verse number twenty six, the Bible reads
-
like this, and in the six month the angel Gabriel
-
was sent from God into a city of Galilee named Nazareth.
-
Notice the calling, and it was a calling from God.
-
Notice it was of divine appointment. The Bible said, it
-
is in him we live and move and have our being,
-
meaning it's in him we have our strength for existence.
-
And so this angelic being, Gabriel was sent by God.
-
Since I was a little boy, I've heard people discourage
-
messengers who claim to be messengers of truth but lacked
-
endurance and lacked strength for the journey. They've told him
-
to sit down and learn and pray and get a
-
relationship with God until you have an anointing on your life,
-
and until you have that heavenly calling. Apostle Paul spoke
-
of himself. He said, I was obedient to the heavenly calling.
-
And I've heard those same elders scold young ministers over
-
the years, and they've said things like, I feel like
-
your mama called and Daddy sent. All the difference it
-
makes when someone has been sent by God. The Bible
-
goes like this concerning the messenger John the Baptist, there
-
was a man sent by God, and so we know
-
Gabriel was sent by God. In the strength of his creator.
-
This angelic being lived and moved, and at some point
-
he was commanded by God to make an announcement that
-
would change and alter the course of mankind. And the
-
first person who would learn of this most important.
-
News was not Herod.
-
It was not an emperor of a pagan kingdom, nor
-
was it a member of the Sanhedrin in Jerusalem. It
-
was to a woman of modest means, a woman of
-
a lowly state of mind, in other words, not a
-
prideful person, but a humble person. The angelic being Gabriel
-
appeared to a virgin girl named Mary, who lived in
-
an insignificant town. And so we know that the messengers
-
of God not only are called of God and operate
-
within the strength of God, they will operate without fear
-
or favor. They will be people that do not show
-
partiality or favoritism. They will be a person that believes
-
that His kingdom is not of this world, but that
-
His kingdom is within people of all nations. There is
-
hope for all nations. And so I know this little
-
town seemed insignificant at that time, But concerning prophecy that
-
had been passed down throughout the age, of sister Howell.
-
Those that knew their Bible, those that knew the will
-
and the plan of God, knew that it was very
-
significant that this angelic messenger would appear to this virgin
-
girl in an insignificant town. And it was a message
-
for Mary, and then it was a message for mankind.
-
That's right, even for you and I that are here
-
today sitting in these pews. This messag sins gable delivered
-
that day would be warmly received by the humble, and
-
one day that same message would be despised by the
-
HAUGHTI herod, it would also be despised by the haughty
-
High priest. A chosen messenger will gladly carry the message
-
to the least, the lost, and the lonely. After all,
-
that was the mission of our Savior, was that the
-
poor had the Gospel preached to them, and that nobody
-
was overlooked. He is an all inclusive God. He's not
-
willing that anyone of any nation perish. It is his
-
desire that people of all nations would come to him.
-
And so he came himself into a world that did
-
not warmly welcome him. He came into a world that
-
recognized him. Yet rejected him. He came and dwelt amongst
-
the Lord. Yes, people such as you and I, And
-
to this day he is no respector of persons. Every
-
person of each tribe and nation can praise His holy name.
-
They can embrace his righteousness because our righteousness is as
-
fuilthy rags, and they can serve him in the beauty
-
of holiness. Oh, that every person who claims to be
-
the Lord's messenger would be as reliable as the archangel
-
Gabriel was them, and as reliable as he is to
-
this day. I've seen a lot of preachers not be
-
a good steward for the things that God has entrusted
-
to them. I've seen people not be faithful unto the end.
-
I've seen them abandon their post of duty. I've already
-
said Jesus handpicked and selected seventy disciples, and fifty eight defected.
-
But among this there were twelve that were faithful. How
-
many of you know it is required in stewards that
-
a man be found faithful. Concerning our Christian stewardship, it
-
is of the most necessity that we are faithful. Not
-
only are we faithful to church or faithful in attendance
-
to the House of God. It is important that we
-
are faithful to deliver the message. We must deliver the
-
whole counsel of Almighty God. As I read through the
-
first chapter of Luke's Gospel, I saw certain words that
-
were spoken by Gabriel, and I believe that Mary believed
-
every word that was given him by the Lord.
-
And he was to speak to Mary what was given.
-
Now listen, every word that Gabrael spoken proceeded out of
-
the mouth of God. And the Bible said that any
-
man that speaks should speak as the oracle of God
-
with the boldness, come on, not with shyness, not with backwardness,
-
not with bashfulness, but as Moses when he approached Pharaoh,
-
with holy boldness. The Bible said that the righteous are
-
as bold as a lion. Now, God had taken the
-
Moses through the school of humility for about forty years.
-
He had been parked in the desert of Midian, and
-
over there he lost some of that starchiness, and he
-
lost about all of that pride that he would have
-
had as the son of Pharaoh's daughter. That didn't please
-
him at all, And so he enters the wilderness. And
-
after forty years this man of a broken spirit approaches
-
the palace, but he does not do it in a
-
whippy way. He approaches with a holy boldness, and he
-
puts a finger in the face of the act of Pharaoh,
-
and he says, God said, let my people go. Oh,
-
that baby Gabriel Adian Valentue could be such a messenger
-
that would tell people the whole truth and nothing but
-
the truth. So help him God, the Bible said, we
-
must speak truth with love. I'm not asking him to
-
be the enemy of anybody, and I am not the
-
one paving the path that he will walk.
-
But I feel like God wants to use this young man.
-
If his parents will train him up and the way
-
that he should go, If they would bring him up
-
in the nurture and the admonition of the Lord, it
-
they were sow good seeds into his life. It they
-
would teach him the scriptures while he's young. The great
-
Bishop Timothy was told by the Apostle Paul to stir
-
up the gift that was already within him, because of
-
Apostle Paul mentoring him, because of Apostle Paul laying his
-
hands on him and praying for him, but also because
-
of the example and the witness of his grandmother and
-
his mother Unsi and Lois.
-
It's gonna be very important.
-
To Dad and Mom continue to be messengers of truth
-
and that they continue to bring baby aid in iPAH,
-
in the nurture and the admonition of the Lord. So
-
I see these words that were spoken, and we know
-
they came from God, and Brother Jesse, I've heard people
-
before say I know what God's word says, but I
-
am not at all okay with repeating it in the
-
ears of parishioners. I'm not okay with recitement to those
-
that pass by as I preach on the street, and
-
we ask him the question, why will you not deliver
-
the whole capsule or every word of God that God
-
has spoken? And a lot of times we say it
-
is because of fear. The Bible said, if thou faintest
-
in the day of adversity, thy shrink this small. This
-
is one of the most impotent, meaning the most powerless
-
generations that I have ever laid eyes upon. It is
-
a spoiled, rotten generation. We can take you overseas and
-
take you to nations of third world class and show
-
you people that are tough, people that are not easily offended.
-
The Bible said, concerning those that are easily offended, like
-
winning them is like trying to pull somebody out of
-
a castle or trying to pull somebody in a cage
-
through the bars of that cage. It's nearly an impossibility
-
to reach those that are easily offended, and those that
-
want a hard bitterness, and those that are looking for
-
an excuse why they can't go to church, of why
-
they can't listen to the messenger of the messenger. This
-
is a thin skin of generation. But it does not
-
matter which generation you're preaching to, whether it's the thick
-
skin generation of World War two or the.
-
Thin skin generation that you and I live in.
-
We are commanded, as mandated by God, to speak the truth. Now,
-
I want you to know these words would have been
-
mysterious words being spoken to this Vergin girl in the
-
middle of the night. They would have been hard to swallow.
-
They would have choked her up a little bit. There's
-
no doubt about it. And I'm telling your brother Jesse.
-
She sensed that she wasn't being lied to. She sensed
-
who was in her presence. She sensed who was there.
-
She realized he's a faithful messenger, and by the words
-
that he spoke, she was able to trust him. You
-
can desern a wolf in sheep's clothing by the words
-
that they speak. When they're talking about materialistic things and
-
moneys and mansions more often than they're talking about the
-
Messiah and his message, you can know where their heart lieth.
-
So neither Luke, nor Apostle, Paul, nor Jesus desired an
-
earthly kingdom. They didn't desire the riches of this world.
-
And here's Mary hearing that the King of all kings
-
desires to be planted inside of her being, and Brother Nathaniel,
-
she receives it as a gift of the Lord. Brother
-
gave a sister Cannis. I believe you have received baby Gabriel,
-
Ady and Valentin as a gift from the Lord, as
-
hand of the mother of Samuel received him as a
-
gift by the Lord. And one Peter, chapter number four
-
and verse number eleven, and.
-
It reads like this.
-
If a man speak, let him speak as the oracles
-
of God. And if any man minister, let him do
-
it as of the ability which God giveth, that God
-
in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ. Can
-
I tell you that if Jesus Christ had have established
-
a kingdom in this world, Judas would have let it
-
go to his head, and so would the other disciples
-
if they had been granted positions in the Messiah's cabinet,
-
if he had installed them in positions and established an
-
earthly kingdom.
-
But Jesus was letting them know, my kingdom is not
-
at all of this world.
-
And I see a lot of people they fall to
-
the almighty dollar. And I left the compastor a church
-
in LaBelle, Florida that was running four people, because brother Jesse,
-
I saw value and souls more than value in that company.
-
And the God of Heaven has spoken to my heart.
-
I knew he was speaking words of truth. And he said,
-
if you don't do what I've told you to do,
-
I'll raise up another. And if you don't do what
-
I've called you to do, I'll call somebody else. And
-
if you don't do what I've commissioned you to do,
-
I will commission another. That's why Apostle Paul, which was
-
Christianity's greatest persecutor, said, you know what, I realize now,
-
it's been all about position. It's been all about friendships.
-
It's been all about loyalty to the wrong people. It's
-
been all about my friendships with members of the Sanhedrin,
-
It's been all about job security. But now I'm gonna
-
be obedient to the heavenly calling, and I'm going to
-
take this message to the jew and the gentile alike.
-
I wonder did he lose some.
-
Christine property in Jerusalem that day whenever he left being
-
Christianity's greatest persecutor and became Christianity's the greatest promoter? Did
-
he lose a lot of friends that day when he
-
began to preach the words of Jesus without a doubt?
-
He lost ninety nine percent of his friends, and he
-
faced uncertain times. That's what Mary was facing, uncertain times.
-
How am I going to be accepted? I do not
-
know a man? How is Joseph that I love my soulmate?
-
How is he going to a are y all ready?
-
How is he going to assess this situation? Is he
-
really going to believe me?
-
Is he really gonna handle this well?
-
Is he really gonna accept this after his assessment? But
-
Gabriel was a faithful messenger. Not only did he visit Mary,
-
he visited Joseph and this messenger from heaven gave both
-
Joseph and Mary and assurance that everything was gonna be alright.
-
And to every child of God this morning, I want
-
you to know his word. Lets you know everything is
-
gonna be all right. And I would love to see
-
God use baby Gabriel, Ady and Valentine one day and
-
know that this brother has went from continent to continent
-
to continent, like Apoulus, an apostle, Paul and Barnabasa Peter
-
spreading the truth as a divine messenger, somebody that was
-
obedient to the heavenly calling.
-
Hey man.
-
And so this woman Mary listened to the words of
-
a messenger of God, somebody that was gonna bring the
-
good news of the Gospel. And as the oracle of God,
-
Gabriel shared the wonderful words of a promise. And then
-
Mary shared these wonderful words of a promise with believers,
-
promises of protection, promises provision, and so much more. Because
-
of this messenger's angelic anointing, Mary responded in such.
-
A wonderful way.
-
Her answer to the Messiah's offer of the indwelling was
-
a resounding yes. She was propositioned. The proposal was made
-
what's about to happen. The gentleman made an announcement. The
-
Holy Ghost is always a gentleman, always will be a gentleman.
-
He must be invited, and he must be warmly received.
-
And she said, thank you for considering the handmaid of
-
the Lord. Be it done unto me, even as thou
-
hast spoken, knowing that she may face rejection by Joseph.
-
Knowing the moment she preaches the message that the angelic
-
messenger preached to her. The moment she repeats what was
-
said to her, she might lose a relationship. And that's
-
what a lot of people do. They know if they
-
take what they got at church home of their their
-
their spouse might leave them. They know if they take
-
what they received at church to some other continent, they
-
might lose their life. Well, join the club. The Bible said,
-
all that live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
-
Join the club. All of those disciples that lived upon
-
the earth after the ascension and the departure of Jesus,
-
a lot of them died horrible death.
-
Join the club.
-
In some countries, if they get baptized, they receive a
-
death sentence immediately upon exiting the river of the lake,
-
they receive a death sentence. Join the club. It's been
-
a bloody religion ever since Mary received this news he's
-
going to be massigned. Everybody knew what's going to happen
-
to Messiah. Everybody knew he would fulfill the ceremonial ammonial law.
-
Everybody knew he would die for the sins of the world.
-
But what was said was said is such an angelic
-
anointing that it was warmly received.
-
And she said, be it done unto me?
-
I would love to see baby Gabriel aid invalient and
-
grow up to be another Apollos, another Apostle Paul, where
-
people just can't say no to Jesus, where people would
-
walk away and say, I wasn't almost persuaded. I was
-
fully persuaded. That he is the Christ, the son of
-
the Living God, a warrior with wonderful words. And why
-
are they wonderful words? Because we're simply repeating his words,
-
and his words are wonderful words. I desire that the
-
Lord will use Gabriel aid invalientine to lead someone and
-
many individuals and their families Jesus Christ. May they allow
-
Lord to access them the way Mary allowed the Lord
-
to access her, and I appreciate today the way the
-
parents have allowed us the privilege and the opportunity to
-
dedicate their little one to the Lord, to give him
-
back to the Lord. I saw when Brother Gabel and
-
Sister Candace first started attending the church. I saw that
-
Brother Gabriel was missing something we could tell it.
-
We knew there was a.
-
God size void in his being, and that he was
-
dissatisfied with the things of this world. Can I tell
-
you that money will never satisfy? Can I tell you
-
the things of this world are not satisfying to anyone?
-
They are miserable, miserable those that are attempting to satisfy
-
themselves through the lust of the flesh, through the pride
-
of the eye, the eye of the pride of life.
-
As to how they're never satisfied in fact one of
-
their own and modern times are rock and roll freak declared,
-
I can't get any satisfaction, but I would love to
-
be an eyewitness. I hope I live to see it
-
God using another person as a mighty messenger to take
-
words of truth to people that need to hear words
-
of hope and truth and righteousness. I wonder if the
-
singers could come up and sing this dedication song today?
-
Could y'all do that?
-
Musician singers, I want to invite you to stand to
-
your feet at this time, put your mind upon the Lord.
-
We slowed it down this morning. That's what we wanted
-
to do. We wanted to stick with the occasion, do
-
his occasion to service and dedicate baby Gabriel Adian viol today.
-
For there's no greater thing they could do with their
-
child than to bring him back to the Lord. But
-
I saw them when they came into church missing something,
-
and today they hold in their hand a promise, and
-
I want to ask them to be careful with what
-
they do with that promise. For I feel like it's
-
God's intentions to use him as a messenger a man
-
saying it praise the Lord.
-
I saw too little fee walking in my footsteps. I
-
heard a little voice.
-
Asking things I didn't know.
-
I touched some time n finnger and reached out for direction.
-
And if he's gone to fall loo me, I need
-
to know to swear I go.
-
If he's falllling.
-
Me the Lord, I need to fall lou If iin alving.
-
Example, I need a whole lot of your life.
-
