  10. and what brother Jonathan said.

  11. Amen.

  12. How about that? Amen, your children? You know your children

  13. are direct representation of who you are.

  14. Amen.

  15. Old bed Amen became amen known in that village Amen

  16. as a amen, a representation of what his mother, no

  17. doubt was. The community named that little baby and said,

  18. he's got a mother that's proved she's a servant, and

  19. we just kind of got a suspicion.

  20. Amen, he's gonna have a heart like hers. Amen.

  21. Ain't that wonderful? Amen, I'm so thankful to be here.

  22. We miss our pastor and pastor's wife. We know they're

  23. on a Amen, on a mission for the King.

  24. Amen. It's to pray for them. Amen.

  25. We certainly miss Amen our amen spiritual father and mother.

  26. This morning.

  27. Amen, I counted a privilege to be here to preach

  28. this morning.

  29. Amen.

  30. I thank you for being here. I thank you for

  31. taking time out of your busy day.

  32. Amen.

  33. Praise God to honor the words of the Lord. Amen,

  34. and gathering his house.

  35. Amen. I thank my pastor for this opportunity. Amen. I

  36. have it taken it lightly, but with much study and prayer. Amen.

  37. I've prepared this. Amen. I thank you for your giving. Amen.

  38. May the Lord richly bless you.

  39. We're gonna be looking at Genesis chapter number twenty seven

  40. this morning.

  41. Amen.

  42. Brother Caleb, would you find Proverbs fourteen and verse number one,

  43. Proverbs fourteen and verse number one, and Brother Jesse, First

  44. Kings seventeen and verse number twelve. Amen, First King seventeen

  45. and verse number twelve.

  46. Amen. Again, Beloved, we'll be in Genesis twenty seven. Amen.

  47. Praise God, and we're gonna look over there. Amen.

  48. Before I get started, I want to say, Amen, I

  49. love you deeply, Mom, Amen, more than you will ever know.

  50. Amen.

  51. I know the colors of the rainbow because of her.

  52. I know how to write my name because of her.

  53. Amen. I know. Amen. How y'all may not believe.

  54. This, Amen, because there's a time she probably would have

  55. thought it never happened. I know how to brush my

  56. hair because of Mom.

  57. Amen.

  58. I had a crazy amen set, a hair different than

  59. all my brothers. Amen. And thank God for Mom. She

  60. knew how to tame the main amen iran in her family.

  61. Amen.

  62. So she helped me learn to control them this and Amen,

  63. I'm no longer an asparagus as what they called me.

  64. Amen.

  65. I was long, and I was tall and skinny, and

  66. just Aveen had my crown up there.

  67. Amen, it was a big old afro.

  68. Amen.

  69. I've grown them. Amen. I you may not believe it,

  70. but I've had them. Amen.

  71. They'll stand all the way around, want their brother Philip. Amen,

  72. it's it's it's a it's a madhouse up there.

  73. Amen.

  74. But I thank God for her and thank God for

  75. everything she's done.

  76. Amen.

  77. I know the words of this precious Bible and mean

  78. because of my mother and her perseverance.

  79. Amen.

  80. I can still see that social study story. Amen, I

  81. can still a've been remembered sitting on that couch, Amen,

  82. being told read that, Mom, I don't know how to

  83. read that. Read that, and I end up getting I

  84. think I end up getting five well deserved spankings because

  85. I had already read it six times, Amen.

  86. But I was telling mom I didn't know how to

  87. do it. Amen. Something by the mom. Sometimes they see

  88. right through you. Amen.

  89. They know you're telling them a feb Amen. And then Amen,

  90. you put them through that, and they've got to be

  91. the one to deal with you, amen, because they know.

  92. Amen, you know what you're doing. Amen.

  93. And I sitting there amen, acting like I didn't know

  94. how to read.

  95. I couldn't read. You know what I wanted. I just

  96. wanted her to sit down beside me and do the

  97. work for me. Amen.

  98. But a good mother amen, teaches their children amen, how

  99. to do their part.

  100. Amen. I thank God for that, all right, belove it well.

  101. Actually, brother, brother Caleb, read Proverbs fourteen and verse number one.

  102. If you would, brother, every wise woman do to her house,

  103. put the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

  104. Amen. The Lord had laid this verse of scripture on

  105. my heart.

  106. Amen. I enjoyed hearing those little ones quoted this morning.

  107. Every wise woman without exception. If she is a wise woman, Amen,

  108. she's aboring to build her house. Amen, Brother Jesse, first King,

  109. chapter number seventeen, verse number twelve. And she said, as

  110. the Lord thy God liveth I have not a cake,

  111. but an handful of meal, and a barrel and a

  112. little oil in a cruise. And behold, I am gathering

  113. two sticks that I may go in and dress it

  114. for me and my son, that we may eat it

  115. and die. Amen, all right, beloved, Genesis twenty seven. We're

  116. gonna read six through ten this morning, and then skip

  117. down a little bit and read some more. Genesis twenty

  118. seven and verse number six, and Rebecca spake unto Jacob,

  119. her son, saying, behold, I heard thy father speak unto Esaul,

  120. thy brother, saying bring me venison and make me savory

  121. meat that I may eat and bless thee before the Lord.

  122. That I may eat and bless thee before the Lord

  123. before my death. Now, therefore, my son, obey my voice

  124. according to that which I command. Go now to the

  125. flock and fetch me from thence two good kids of

  126. the goats, and I will make them savory meat for

  127. my father, such as he loveth. I mean for thy father,

  128. such as he loveth, And thou shalt bring it to

  129. thy father that he may eat and that he may

  130. bless thee before his death. And then looking at verses

  131. number fourteen, and he went and fetched and brought them

  132. to his mother. And his mother made savory meat, such

  133. as his father loved. And Rebecca took goodly raymond of

  134. her eldest son, Esau, which were with her in the house,

  135. and put them on Jacob, her younger son. And she

  136. put the skins of the kids of the goats upon

  137. his hands and upon the smooth of his neck. And

  138. she gave the savory meat and the bread which she

  139. had prepared unto the hand of her son Jacob. And

  140. he came unto his father and said, my father. And

  141. he said, here am I who art thou, my son?

  142. And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esaul, thy

  143. first born. I have done according as the O badest me. Arise,

  144. I pray thee sit in need of my venison, that

  145. thy soul may bless me. Man, if you would stress

  146. your hands toward Heaven, ask God to help us this morning. Lord,

  147. thank you for you many blessings God, for each one

  148. that's here. Lord, We thank you God for Lord, all

  149. that you've done to bring us. Lord into your house

  150. this morning. We beseech your Lord, let your will be done. God,

  151. set a guard about my mouth. Let me say nothing

  152. more and nothing less than you would have me. God,

  153. grant the petitions Lord of each mother that is here.

  154. God, Lord, hear the voice God.

  155. In prayer, God, we ask you a naught the minister

  156. bond every yoke, every bond, God, and through your anainting God,

  157. let them be broken, and we'll give you the glory,

  158. the honor and the praise. In Jesus Holy Holy Name,

  159. Praise God in the church said Amen and Amen. Now

  160. we're all probably vaguely familiar, and some would be very

  161. very familiar with what we just read here, and and

  162. very familiar with the bloodline and the lineage. And you

  163. study this out, and it's a very important thing that's

  164. about to happen here. If Isaac is going to bless

  165. one of the sons a man, it's very significant a man,

  166. it's very very powerful, and it's something we see that

  167. was handed down generally to the first born. We all

  168. know of how Jacob would purchase the birth right and

  169. this blessing from Esau for a pot a man, a

  170. little ball of red pottage, and a man. Esau was

  171. a was a very different kind of man than Jacob was.

  172. He was he was an outdoorsman, and Jacob more so

  173. was a was a little bit of a homebody. Amen.

  174. He hung around Mama, really close to Mama, from what

  175. we gather. And Rebecca she was she was bearing from

  176. many many years, and for a long time she did

  177. not bear children. And upon the because of the intercession

  178. of her husband, a man, she conceived and she bear

  179. these twins here.

  180. Amen, they were twins Isaac. Amen. Praise God was the

  181. father and Rebecca was their mother. Amen. Praise God.

  182. And God begin to work in their lives. And when

  183. they were born, Amen, Praise God. Rebecca carried the knowledge

  184. that God had already said.

  185. Amen, Jacob was going to be the greater of the two. Amen.

  186. This was something that was not the usual.

  187. It was not typical, Amen, that the younger brother would

  188. succeed in authority the older brother.

  189. Amen. So Rebecca was given this knowledge.

  190. And sometimes we're given knowledge and God tells us something

  191. and it requires great wisdom on how to use that knowledge.

  192. And really and truly, when you.

  193. Look at this, it doesn't at the end of the today,

  194. it doesn't seem like it was a great use of

  195. the knowledge. It doesn't seem like it really promoted in

  196. Rebecca's life the bond that they needed in the family.

  197. But rather there is clear favoritism throughout the life of

  198. Rebecca and Jacob. And he saw she chose Jacob, and

  199. it was definitely a protective motherly instinct that we see

  200. here beg begins to act. And she knew God had

  201. said God was gonna bless Jacob, and he was going

  202. to succeed his brother in power and authority and wealth,

  203. and he was gonna be Amen. Almost you could say

  204. the figurehead of the family. Now, the figurehead of the

  205. family carried Amen. The promised God had given unto Abraham. Amen,

  206. the figurehead of the family would have been the one Amen,

  207. Praise God that would have obtained the blessing that had

  208. been handed down from handed down from Abraham to Isaac.

  209. And this was a huge deal, Amen, just as it

  210. would be this morning. If God promised one of you, Amen,

  211. that your seed would be Amen, numbered as the stars

  212. and the Amen in the sky, and that you would

  213. be blessed abundantly, and those that blessed you, Amen, God

  214. would take care of. And those Amen that cursed you,

  215. God on the Amen would take care of as well. Amen,

  216. But not for their benefits. So Rebecca here gets involved

  217. in this situation. Now, I don't really find Rebecca to

  218. be and I know you're going to bear with me.

  219. This morning, it's a little different.

  220. I prayed and prayed and asked God if there was

  221. a different direction.

  222. Amen, But I couldn't get away from this. Amen.

  223. Rebecca doesn't necessarily represent.

  224. That poster Amen, mother to me. Amen.

  225. There's many mothers throughout the Bible that we find, Amen,

  226. that represent motherhood maybe a little bit better because of

  227. what she done here, Amen, because of the way she

  228. handled this situation. And Isaac reaches this ripe old age

  229. and his vision is beginning to fail him. He can't

  230. see clearly, and Rebecca knows this. She's very aware, aware

  231. of his limitations. As he has helped meet Rebecca would

  232. have been the one familiar with his struggles, familiar with.

  233. What he battled, familiar with how he fault and Amen.

  234. Even in the day's age, even the mother, the wife

  235. oftentimes is familiar with their weaknesses. She's familiar with their struggles.

  236. She's familiar with what bothers them. She's familiar with what

  237. bothers Dad and Amen, what she's familiar with all the buttons. Amen,

  238. she can push you've heard that all you're pushing my buttons.

  239. If there's anyone that knows what dads are going through,

  240. it's mama. If there's anyone he's gonna talk to, it's mama.

  241. Amember.

  242. There's a lot of people beginning to use those things divisively.

  243. They begin to use those things for their benefit. And

  244. Rebecca begin to realize in this moment, I can deceive him, Amen,

  245. I can alter his perception of reality.

  246. Amen. And Mama, you gotta be careful.

  247. Amen.

  248. When you know what daddy's going through, when you know

  249. what he's been fighting, when you know what he's up against,

  250. that you're very careful to use even the knowledge God

  251. has given you, Amen, to affect him to bring about

  252. your desires. A man, there's many mothers in this building,

  253. if not all of them, Amen, show us great Amen,

  254. selflessness and men their arts they been consumed by self Amen.

  255. Been Rebecca, I mean, I don't necessarily believe she did

  256. it for her, but she thought she was looking out

  257. for the best interests of the family. She thought she

  258. was doing it. They mean that her children might be benefited.

  259. Amen.

  260. But when you begin to meddle with he ay man,

  261. us stick your hands in the plans of God. You've

  262. gotten to be careful, aymen, when you do it without prayer,

  263. when you do it without consulting God, and you meddle

  264. with his plans instead of talking to God about it

  265. and saying, Lord just said you were going to bless

  266. Jacob the man, instead of talking to God and saying, Lord,

  267. I know that was you that told me it was

  268. your will to do this, they man, she began to

  269. do it her way.

  270. Amen.

  271. As his vision fails, she realizes, Amen, there's a window

  272. of opportunity Amen, that is opened here.

  273. Amen. Praise God. In his eyes, it contemplates his end.

  274. And then one day he decided it was time to

  275. pass on that blessing to his first born, to pass

  276. it down the Esau.

  277. Now, I believe firmly.

  278. Amen, Isaac would have known, Amen, what he saw and

  279. Jacob did, Amen, and how that Esau had sold his

  280. right Amen to this blessing. I believe firmly, Amen, that

  281. Rebecca talked with him and told him about her encounter

  282. with God.

  283. And Amen.

  284. So maybe you could say there's a little bit of

  285. fault on both sides, because aymen, Isaac, even despite this Amen,

  286. begins to go ahead and move forward with his plans

  287. as well.

  288. Amen.

  289. But it should never be that way at the home

  290. or at the house, that each one is jockey in

  291. for their way and jockeying for their position and jockeying

  292. for control.

  293. Amen.

  294. But many houses, Amen, you think the children? Amen, come

  295. through it, okay. When Mama wants her way and Daddy

  296. wants his man, Praise God, what you end up with,

  297. it's bitter babies. Because Mama learned she can pit the

  298. kids against dad. Amen, and Dad learned, ay, Man, he

  299. can pit the daughter against the sana and.

  300. Causing up roaring the house.

  301. A man that begins to distract themen and cause they

  302. men people to lose their focus on water is important.

  303. The men here everywhere would have they been Ben Bestius,

  304. if they too would have got together and had a conversation.

  305. And sometimes a conversation conpicts a world of problems, theymen.

  306. But as long as you ain't willing to go talk

  307. with Isaac Rebecca and tell him of what's going on,

  308. you got you could keep trying to bring about it.

  309. They been bringing about your way. They matter. Watch God

  310. work your way and watch God move.

  311. Then your way, but sometimes you just gotta let God

  312. they have his way.

  313. I mean, I you men have known some children.

  314. I mean, I'm not beating no mother over the head

  315. this morning.

  316. I don't know how any of you what your home

  317. life is.

  318. But I can stand here honestly, and if you were

  319. in my shoes, you would have to too and say,

  320. there's such a thing as a good mom and a

  321. bad mom, and there is equally such a thing as

  322. a bad dad and a good dad.

  323. Amen.

  324. So amen, pardon me. I'm not trying to harp on

  325. the women. But it's Mother's day.

  326. Amen.

  327. And I'll preach to myself, amen, while I preach to you,

  328. because Isaac was equally responsible here.

  329. Amen.

  330. But if you expect me to act like and pretend

  331. there ain't children in this world that's been affected, Amen,

  332. because mom and dad didn't learn how to get a

  333. long day, man, then you're asking the wrong to tell

  334. you the wrong lie, because I know and I've witnessed

  335. theymen my friends come to me and talk to me,

  336. and men, those bushed children talk to me about how

  337. they men. Mom and dad had gotten a spat that morning,

  338. and that's why they didn't have a belt on.

  339. He they men and Mam and Dad had been getting into.

  340. It that night, and that's why they have darker They

  341. man spots under their eyes.

  342. And one of them come home. They men come to

  343. church with the white socca.

  344. They man praise God in the black soccer because things

  345. wasn't going well at home. A man, I praise God

  346. into the between ay men and Mama trying to the

  347. men get the upper hand on Daddy and Daddy trying

  348. to They men praise God, but little Mama with the

  349. people that suffered were the children, and Jacob and Esau

  350. suffered because of what happened on this little occasion that

  351. were reading Genesis chapter number twenty seven, and me and

  352. Rebecca God involved, and God's a rocket that she began

  353. to try to take control of the situation. Now, I

  354. know you tell me he needed that blessing and he

  355. needed that prayer. But I remind you of Jesus and

  356. man when he was talking to some critical people, he

  357. set up these little storms. I am able to raise

  358. up seed under Abraham. God didn't need the prayer of

  359. Isaaca to bring about the fulfillment of his promise. So

  360. he didn't need the prayer of Isaaca and then to

  361. bless Jacob extremely and abundantly. May man, I tell you

  362. what had happened this morning. If God wanted to, a

  363. man could come out of this pool patter. That was

  364. the exact DNA. They been replica of Abraham. If God

  365. so wanted it, you don't how to get involved.

  366. They been. Let God do it.

  367. You know what we are. We're a representation of that scripture.

  368. Rocks are the lowest of the low. They're borderline useless.

  369. So were we gentiles in the eyes of the Hebrews.

  370. And now to this Amen and Amen, grafted in in

  371. that family tree. Amen, at that Abrahamic covenant. Amen, Praise God.

  372. Now there's a little old Nathaniel in label that says

  373. I could cling to the same promise Jacob did. Amen,

  374. And I can tell you Amen, Mom and Daddy. Amen,

  375. just take it to God in prayer and watch him

  376. work it out.

  377. Amen, for your good. Amen.

  378. Rebecca heard when Isaac spake to Esau, his son and

  379. I Esau went to the field to hunt for venison

  380. and to bring it.

  381. Amen.

  382. Now, Rebecca, as I said, had chosen a favorite of

  383. these two boys.

  384. She'd made him a little bit of a mama's boy.

  385. Maybe so to speak, and we all know of what

  386. all that could entail, Amen, And how you gotta be

  387. careful there, so I'm gonna leave it alone. Amen. Now

  388. we know Isaac, no doubt a man knew of what

  389. God had shared.

  390. Amen.

  391. Praise God. But the issue was here. And then Rebecca

  392. hears his conversation with the saw and Amen. She immediately

  393. turns the kitchen Amen into the staging grounds for amen

  394. operation Amen, Praise God, deceitful delectables, Amen, Praise God. She decides,

  395. I know what he likes to eat, I know what

  396. he wants, I know what he's after. Amen, and I'm

  397. gonna get it my way. I'm gonna go ahead and

  398. get involved in this. And Amen. Coming home from the

  399. hospital the other day, asking God what I should preach

  400. and begging him for a minut message from heaven.

  401. Amen.

  402. What the Lord gave me Amen was a cattle or

  403. a cauldron.

  404. Amen.

  405. And we all know amen, of the mystical amen things

  406. around the cauldron.

  407. Amen.

  408. How that is often the amen shown as Praise God.

  409. That witch's pot.

  410. Amen.

  411. But unfortunately Rebecca Amen begins to cook up something that

  412. wasn't gonna be beneficial to her family. Amen, she begins

  413. to cook up something.

  414. Amen.

  415. That the end result wasn't gonna be family unity. It

  416. wasn't gonna be a stronger bond here.

  417. Amen.

  418. Yes, it was gonna be pleasing and delectable means extremely

  419. pleasing to the taste.

  420. Amen. He was gonna enjoy it. Amen. Isaac was gonna

  421. enjoy what he ate. Amen.

  422. And there are many who work in the shadows today, Amen,

  423. to bring about their desired outcome.

  424. There are many mothers.

  425. Amen. That lunchtime Amen is their time to plot and connive,

  426. and their time to program and control.

  427. Amen.

  428. That should not be And I don't think it is

  429. this morning, Amen, But I've just got to preach this text.

  430. Amen.

  431. All that I find in this text I feel applies

  432. a man to me. As I begin, Amen, Praise God.

  433. I'm a man four years into parenting, and I don't

  434. claim to be Amen.

  435. Praise God. The specimen of fatherhood.

  436. And you can sit there and say, Amen, how can

  437. a twenty seven year old preach to me about motherhood?

  438. But that's a great question. Amen.

  439. How can you tell me what a good cheeseburger is?

  440. You've never been one?

  441. Right? How can you tell me.

  442. That airplane pilot that landed you on that airstrip was

  443. a bad one.

  444. You've never been one. How you do is you buy

  445. what you see and you know.

  446. And because of my mother, I can stand here this

  447. morning and tell you I know what a mother should be.

  448. Amen.

  449. I know what a good cheese burger tastes like, because

  450. that's my favorite.

  451. Thing to eat. But I've never been a cow.

  452. I've never moved, and I have a grass amen, and

  453. I'm not proud of it.

  454. Amen. Praise God.

  455. But I've sprinkled my rice with dirt amen, because it

  456. made me cooler.

  457. Amen. Praise God. So I thought, and I hated grinding it. Amen.

  458. But this morning, let me try to talk to you.

  459. I'm not trying to beat you over the head or

  460. act like a know it all. But the word of

  461. God is the answer, Amen. It is the foundation which

  462. we build on. So this morning, if I see something here, amen,

  463. I'm gonna tell you exactly what God talked to me about.

  464. Amen. So she turned her kitchen into ground zero. Amen. Hey,

  465. praise God.

  466. As they they begin to battle, she begins to battle

  467. to maintain control, Rebecca, device, is this plan that involves manipulation?

  468. Amen?

  469. God has never required you, amen, to connipe or manipulpulate,

  470. or scheme to bring about his promises.

  471. I'll say it again.

  472. God has never required a father or a mother, Amen,

  473. to be behind the scenes conniving and scheming on how Amen,

  474. they can make it happen, because what happens generally is

  475. they push them off a little farther, they run them

  476. off a little farther. I mean, we don't find where

  477. the prodigal's mother, Amen, was meling biscuits up. Remember, she

  478. let him know there's gonna be more when you get home.

  479. Amen.

  480. And when you begin to try to manipulate, and you

  481. begin to try to they men control the hand of God.

  482. They man, you're gonna end up with grave consequences. And

  483. she told him, now, therefore, my son, obey my voice

  484. according to that which I command thee.

  485. Amen. She gives him a direct order. Amen. And Jacob

  486. is known as us a planner.

  487. We all look for Amen, with a frown upon our face,

  488. down at Jacob for all that he done. Even ain't

  489. says Amen. He's a little bit of the conniver. He's

  490. a little bit of a deceiver, theymen. But who was

  491. in his a corner? Who chose to be his mentor

  492. Rebecca did. And the very thing that I say, I

  493. despise Jacober the most over her. It was Mama that

  494. drafted up the playbooker and put the plan in motion.

  495. They man, let me tell your.

  496. Friend, your counsel has a direct outcomer on those little

  497. children's lives. The men, the way you talk to them

  498. has a direct outcomer on the kind of life.

  499. They will leave her and leading for years.

  500. Jacob bought with this or who lived away from his family.

  501. He couldn't go harm because his brother wanted him dead.

  502. Theymen in the very water. They meant that Rebecca tried her.

  503. They mean to do something to benefit her. Now live

  504. with the scars. Because Mama commanded him. She put him

  505. up to it. She told him what to do. Oh Mama,

  506. take it to prayer, and don't get in bold. Don't

  507. try to do it your way. Don't try to do

  508. it your mama's way. If there wasn't a good end result,

  509. don't try to do it your daddy's way, if he

  510. didn't have a.

  511. Good end, Do it God's way.

  512. Sue Mark three and twenty five said, and if a

  513. house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand if

  514. a house, and if a house be divided against itself,

  515. kind of sounds like Mama against dad, and dad against mama.

  516. And in turn, now this sibling amends against this sibling

  517. and that parent, and that parentom that siblings against this

  518. sibling and that parent and man, and it ends up

  519. being a quagmile, something that's hard to get out of.

  520. And in the divided home, the divided plan, they men,

  521. moms are working against dad, and they me in the

  522. same vice versa, Dad is.

  523. Working against mom.

  524. And I've heard of those dysfunctional homes where the men

  525. mom wants to be the favorite and dad wants to

  526. be the funnest and Amen.

  527. So what they do is theymen so they can be

  528. the favorite. Amen.

  529. When Daddy's already said no, they say yes. And when

  530. Mama's already said don't do that, Dad says yes, she can.

  531. All because they want that sibling to come or that

  532. child to come to them and ask them for the

  533. them in the favor, ask them for the money, or

  534. ask them for this, and they begin to build that

  535. commanderie Amen, in praise God.

  536. In the family.

  537. They're shouldn't necessarily the camaderie, they men, There should be

  538. community they men when you I'm not saying you can't

  539. unit together for one cause, they men. But when you military,

  540. theymen militarize the family unit.

  541. Aymen, and you all going to battle against one another,

  542. they man, You're gonna find yourself struggling. You know the time.

  543. The kinds of family.

  544. I'm talking to you about her, I'm not talking to

  545. you about yours.

  546. Maybe not, but you all honestly know. They man, and

  547. you've seen the outcome of that child.

  548. They men that didn't know how to conduct themselves, The

  549. men of that They men, that kid that didn't know

  550. what no meant they meen, and so the end of

  551. her in the correctional facilities. And the government has to

  552. teach them what no means, and the lawyer has to

  553. teach them what no means, and the judge has to

  554. teach them what no means they mean, because they they

  555. men started a battle in the hall. The kitchen was

  556. ground zero. They were cooking up something, God that they

  557. shouldn't have been. They sold to the wind and they

  558. reaped the world around. Oh God, what's on the stove, Mama?

  559. What's on the stove? Daddy? What do you have on

  560. the grill? I mean what have you been making? What

  561. have you been brewing? Is there a store? Isn't brewing

  562. in the kitchen? There shouldn't be, Rebecca. You should let

  563. God have his way. If you can't rule the house,

  564. would you ruin the home? I'll ask you again. If

  565. you can't rule the house, would you ruin the home

  566. at the cost of your children? Do you want control?

  567. Shoot?

  568. I know this is this is different territory, because I mean,

  569. everybody's claws come out.

  570. Oh he's trying to put me down this morning. I'm not.

  571. The truth is Rebecca drastically affected her children because of

  572. a bad choice.

  573. One bad choice.

  574. It was all it took, and Esau hated Jacob, and

  575. Jacob ran for his life scared. I know I'm against

  576. you this morning. Apparently you think I'm gonna ask you again? Anyways,

  577. if you can't rule the house, would you ruin the home?

  578. I wonder what's on the stove, Rebecca? A plan to

  579. get your way? And then what's that cooking?

  580. Friend? And then what's that smell?

  581. And man, in many homes, it's a potion of rebellion

  582. and stubbornness.

  583. Aymen, in many homes, it's a potion.

  584. Amen in the Bible said that rebellion and stubbornness was

  585. as witchcraft.

  586. Amen. And this is the cauldron in the family unit. Amen.

  587. This is what happens when we began to brew it

  588. our way and do it our way my God.

  589. Amen. I'll ask you this morning. Don't brew it your way. Amen. Amen.

  590. Could I get an amen? Praise God. Don't brew it

  591. your way, Amen, do it God's way. They been, Mama.

  592. Don't get in the kitchen and try to they been.

  593. Praise God. Alter the mindset of the kids, and they've

  594. been how they feel about dad and Oh God. And

  595. I know there's a you could say, there's a little

  596. bit of a gray area here.

  597. Amen.

  598. So those of you that aymen, are not in this

  599. situation and don't have a safe spiritual head. Amen, you

  600. bear with me because I'd like to preach for you.

  601. They've been for a little while this morning, but I

  602. gotta get there theymen. So this morning I'm talking to

  603. me and my wife and aymen, all of you young parents.

  604. Amen. I don't know how your mama did it, Amember.

  605. If it was her choice, amen, and she chose to

  606. divide the home instead of bringing together, if she chose

  607. to cook something that split the siblings. If she chose

  608. by her attitude, they mean to show she didn't like

  609. her what dad had said that day.

  610. Oh God, you're asking for calamity.

  611. Oh God, you're asking for a suren's stomach in the

  612. lives of your children. You're asking for something to go south.

  613. Because it's don't be you on the receiving in one

  614. day when you taught them how to powder and throw

  615. a fitter women in church what they need to do.

  616. It'll be you that deals with her women that child

  617. treating you the same way the men. They'll look at

  618. you and say, Mama, you don't even know what's been

  619. on the stove. You don't even know what's been in

  620. my heart. When I saw are you and Daddy are

  621. hollering at one another. You don't even know what started brewing.

  622. When I saw they've been running, you go in the bedroom.

  623. I slammed the door. You don't even know what's started cooking.

  624. Abody preaching to you this morning? They man, let me

  625. tell your friend, be careful what guy, aymen of nutrients

  626. you bring in the horror, for they all grow something

  627. in the heart of your CHILDN I command you go

  628. do that against that child's good conscience. They didn't want

  629. to it. You told them they have to, and you

  630. knew it was wrong. Jacob says, I don't want to

  631. do it. I don't want no part of it, and

  632. Mama says, you better. I'm telling you to. I'm telling

  633. you gonna tell Daddy, I wanted McDonald's. I know that

  634. simple and silly this morning, but if plant seeds, Mama

  635. wanted that new refresher from McDonald's. So she tells little

  636. so and so, you gonna tell him I wanted a McChicken. Shoot,

  637. y'all gonna help me preach this morning for a little

  638. while longer. You better be be careful, Rebecca, and man,

  639. what you're putting in the cattle, you better be careful because.

  640. He'll turn into a Cardrina. Where you brew up something

  641. that wrecks Yeah, Harma, you have the power to do it.

  642. Mama.

  643. You have the power to do it. Daddy, you have

  644. the power to wrecking or to building. You have the

  645. power to destroyed or make something out of it. What

  646. will you do with the lives of your check?

  647. Will it be a cauldred or a kettle where good

  648. thanks are brewed? Who you gonna You're gonna listen to

  649. me this morning? Who is it a person of rebellion

  650. and stubbornness when a mama thinks she'll lose her self

  651. worth if she lets Dad be the leader God made

  652. him to be. Who they sent a cauldron and then

  653. praise God.

  654. It's a pot.

  655. Praise God that's used for and been portraying that which

  656. a witch uses to make her concoction.

  657. What's in your kitchen? If you're a Christian, it's a kettle?

  658. Whoo, my God, that mother the chrodigal son had a

  659. kettle over stole the brewing up something that was gonna

  660. be good.

  661. For the family, that was gonna make that son wanna

  662. come home. Oh God, what kind of environmental are you creats?

  663. My God?

  664. What kind of environmental or you created? If he leaves

  665. her hormor Willie roll to come back? He didn't come

  666. back with the heart from the Father, nor the ring

  667. from him or the coda. He came horror because of

  668. the environment mother created.

  669. Because of what smells were coming out of the kitchen,

  670. had whoo problems. Twenties and seventeen.

  671. That bread up the seat is sweet to a man,

  672. but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.

  673. It matters what we're cooking. Isaac ate his feel. But

  674. at the end he was grinding gravel and spitting nails.

  675. He tore it up.

  676. He ate to his heart, was satisfied, brother Philip, But

  677. he didn't realize the deceitful motives of Mama.

  678. Shoot, he didn't realize.

  679. And then what Rebecca had brought, and then from memory

  680. with her and then well maybe not memory, but they

  681. meant her family come from up that way. And then

  682. I wonder what she brought back. The man was her brother.

  683. We see how we treated Jacob. I'll tell you what

  684. was happening. There was a problem in the house of Nahore.

  685. There was a problem. Because it's more than a coincidence

  686. that Mama knew how to deceive and so did Leban.

  687. It's more than a coincidence. That was Rebecca's am in Moda.

  688. Praise God. What happened, Rachel? When you stole those idols?

  689. What you do? What was your go to move? It

  690. was the sef shad, Mama, it was the sef Shad.

  691. I'm telling you, I smell something, a bruin that ought

  692. not to be and the kischen, Oh, Rachel, what are

  693. you gonna do, oh, Rebecca or Lebada, are you gonna

  694. get rid of that nature to tell daddy it ain't soa.

  695. I didn't know that.

  696. And the kids know your Dianna, and the family knows

  697. your Dianna. They all watched to do it.

  698. My daddy was a worker.

  699. And you lie between your teeth and say it ain't soa.

  700. My god, let me tell you what that's a making of.

  701. They been praise, got a whirlwind for you, a man

  702. that's bringing problems for you. When that little daughter watched

  703. you do it, and daddy gets home and asks what

  704. happened here?

  705. She said, I didn't do that.

  706. That daughter knew, brother Samuel, she did do it, and

  707. she watched that mother ballface lied to that that father

  708. bred up the seat. It was pleasing to it in

  709. the moment. Oh, they didn't do it. I feel much

  710. better now.

  711. They give it.

  712. Fifteen years when you asked that daughter, did you sneak

  713. out of the house?

  714. No, I did not give it. Fifteen years when you

  715. asked that little boy man, what were you doing on

  716. your phone?

  717. Oh? I was listening to Jason Crabs sing, Were you

  718. well where you picked that up? Le man?

  719. Amen? At the house of Ahore. Aymen, let me tell

  720. you where you got it down there from memory down

  721. there by mac Peela. Amen, you brought some things home

  722. with you, My God, that's what Rebecca did. She should

  723. have left that trade at the house. She should have

  724. left that trade. They been down there, and they been

  725. in the country of her. They been near King's men.

  726. They man, I'll tell you what happens to a Christian.

  727. They men when they get.

  728. Good and bona fide saved women, sank the Biden, holy

  729. ghost fielder, those trades getting left. They men praise God

  730. back where they came from her, and they're new creatures

  731. in Christ. Jesus and Daddy don't have to worry about her.

  732. The programming that's going on while he's earning bread. They men,

  733. Dad don't have to worry about her.

  734. The men.

  735. The conversation's happening at the kitchen or they men praise

  736. God around lunchtime because mama's got a kettle on the

  737. stove that'll make every backslittle lost love water we want

  738. to come home that takes other good things of God.

  739. I'll tell you what's happening around Bethel.

  740. I man, there's been a kettle brew and thank God,

  741. are calling h those backsliders that know it's good at

  742. mama's house, it's good at Daddy's house. And he's offering

  743. them about the bread of life. What about you this morning?

  744. Do you know it's better, heymen, in mama's house? Then

  745. why are you trying Mama's way? You're done with your

  746. cauldron this morning? Your child knows it's better at mama's house.

  747. I gotta hurry, man, I'm trying to hurry this morning.

  748. Every atom looks for his eve. But what about it? Eve?

  749. What about it? Mother of humanity? Is it a kettle?

  750. Or is it a cauldron? By one man sin entered

  751. into the world. Now, let me read you Adam's explanation.

  752. And the man said, the woman who thou gave us

  753. to me? Amen, thou gave us to be with me.

  754. She gave me up the tree and I did eat.

  755. What about it? Mother of the home? What are you

  756. going to feed them?

  757. I think we got some mothers in here this morning,

  758. and then that's only interested in giving them the goodness

  759. of God?

  760. Amen? I know this is true a man, But what

  761. about it? Amen? Mother of humanity? Should you have made

  762. that meal? Amen? It was a cauldron, a potion of

  763. toxic concoction. Amen, Praise God, a potion of toxic creation. Amen.

  764. And it costs Amen. The splendors of the garden of Eden. Amen,

  765. was cast by one bite Amen, from a man and

  766. from a woman. Amen.

  767. And here and this praise God text that we find

  768. ourselves in our golden text. And mean, all it took

  769. was one bad move from Rebecca. Amen, one thing that

  770. she did wrong. And Amen, she might have been the Amen,

  771. the praise God, the absolute specimen of a mother up

  772. until this point.

  773. Amen.

  774. And this is the thing we see so many parents

  775. do well. And then right at the end, and I'm

  776. preaching to myself here I said I would. I mean,

  777. I could have done good for four years.

  778. And I mean, if I make a bad move, my

  779. daughter's getting old enough, she's gonna remember it. Amen, She's

  780. gonna know that kid. Amen remembers all kinds of stuff. Amen.

  781. She remembers what Mimi quoted.

  782. Amen, what Mimi said about the Amen, not wanting to

  783. eat each other, spitting the praise God of the fellowship

  784. haul at a baby shower, and she's in there telling

  785. the kids Amen. Her other sister there's Amen. All right,

  786. let's pray. Amen, And now remember we don't want to

  787. eat your spit. I mean, you don't think she's gonna

  788. remember if I fly off the handle, she will. You

  789. don't think she's gonna remember if I lie to my

  790. wife after she watched me do something, that little girl's

  791. gonna remember and she's gonna try it out.

  792. Oh that worked, that got them out of trouble.

  793. They feel the tension in the home and they feel

  794. it when you lie to get away from it.

  795. So you don't think they'll try it.

  796. I mean, we've all been given the ability, and I'm

  797. trying to get to the end here, we've all been

  798. given the ability to create an environment conduce. So for

  799. healthy families, Amen, and for healthy family growth.

  800. Amen.

  801. So what are we gonna do with it? I mean

  802. we should be the defenders on the front lines of

  803. our homes.

  804. Amen.

  805. Proverbs fourteen and verse number one, one of our kole

  806. TECs said, every wise woman buildeth her house, but the

  807. foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

  808. Now I talk to you a little bit about that

  809. young man, Amen, in that far country. Amen.

  810. In what he began to realize was when Mama made biscuits,

  811. she made plenty.

  812. Amen.

  813. When Mama cooked pork chops, there was gonna be a

  814. pork chop left over for me. An hour later, when

  815. I got a craven, he said, there's plenty, there's enough,

  816. and despair. Amen, Mama's got something in the cupboard.

  817. Amen. And I'm smelling it from the far country.

  818. Old to God, that they'd be smelling it from the

  819. far country, old at God, that they'd be catching whiffs

  820. of the goodness of God in your life.

  821. From the far country. I'm telling you they are. They

  822. see the joy in your life. They see that smile

  823. and that expression. Amen, and it tells them, Amen, they're

  824. still bred. Amen.

  825. In the father's house. Amen, I want to talk to you,

  826. and I'm gonna get out of the way here. I'm

  827. gonna talk to you just for a minute. First King,

  828. chapter number seventeen, we find this account talked to a

  829. different Amen. Praise God, some mothers this morning, just for

  830. a minute, a man, Praise God. Abraham Lincoln was quoted

  831. as saying, all that I am and ever will be,

  832. I owe him my darling mother. A mother shaped him.

  833. Adolf Hitler's mother was Clara Hitler. She died of cancer.

  834. Brother Philip when he was around eighteen, They say, amen.

  835. They said it devastated that young man because in that

  836. home Dad was a very angry and brash man. And

  837. they said the counterbalance to Dad was Miss Clara, Miss

  838. Clara Hitler. They said she was known as a very affectionate,

  839. a very soft woman. And when she died, they said

  840. old Adolph took it terribly. She died when he was

  841. about eighteen, so he lost life itself for him about eighteen.

  842. What would have happened if Clara would have stayed around.

  843. I believe history would have been wrote differently, I really do.

  844. What would happen, mom, if you stayed around? I believe

  845. we'd see some changes in some lives. What would happen

  846. if you have been despite how haggard and warned you are,

  847. you gave it your dead level best to make sure

  848. they know who, Amen Jesus is What would happen if

  849. you held on a little bit longer? Would that menace

  850. of society never be known as a menace? I believe

  851. it's possible. You don't know the impact of a mother,

  852. Amn Praise God. A godly influence in that child's life

  853. could change history itself. First King, Chapter number seventeen and twelve,

  854. we find a widow preparing to cook her last meal.

  855. We all know of the selfless nature of a mother.

  856. I don't see a robust mother with a lot of strength,

  857. spry with a pepper and her step. I see an old,

  858. haggard amen, a mother who's been eating less and less

  859. to make sure he had something.

  860. I see a mother that's only drink a little bit

  861. of water to make sure she had enough for him.

  862. And she's finally reached the end of her strength. She

  863. goes out there and gets her two little sticks. It's

  864. one little last meal, but she's still gonna be mom.

  865. And I don't know how you feel this morning. I

  866. don't know what the picture of your spiritual home looks like.

  867. If you're that haggard mom that's been hanging all, you've

  868. been doing your dead level best because that spiritual figure

  869. in your life is not there. God knows where you're at.

  870. All He's asked of you is make sure you've got

  871. something in the kettle.

  872. Sure.

  873. I know it's been a long, hard road, but all

  874. God's asked of you is to make sure you're given

  875. your best.

  876. Head of Oh God.

  877. How easy it would have been for this widow woman

  878. to been a better mother, to abandon that child and

  879. left it alone. But down to the last grain and

  880. the barrel, she's still mom. Oh God, it wasn't to

  881. the mother of six kids, Praise God. To the mother

  882. of twelve kids with a daddy that wasn't. Amen, praise

  883. God absent like this, God sent the man of God

  884. to the one who needed it. And this morning, God

  885. has sent me to talk to you. And Man, it

  886. matters what you're cooking in that home. It matters that

  887. environment you're generating. And it should always be an environment

  888. centered around Jesus. It should always be an environment centered

  889. around love and care and kindness. And it gets hard, Amen,

  890. when you're going it alone.

  891. Here is a book today.

  892. On this Mother's day. God saw you with your meager

  893. fair God saw you with your struggles and care. Oh Godes,

  894. she was your empty barrel, barely making ends meet, but

  895. still being mom.

  896. And to the rebeccas Amen. The memoir of the Saints

  897. of God is rather to be chosen the memoir on

  898. your tombstone. It would be better to say that was

  899. a mom that told me of Jesus. Then the mom

  900. that told me Man go to the red box. Amen,

  901. I can't deal with you right now. Yeah, go to

  902. the TV. I got time for you right now. I

  903. know it's a long rude.

  904. Oh God, God's mindful of us this morning. God sees

  905. you and knows your pain. God is mindful of you.

  906. He mean, could we stand all over the house this morning.

  907. In closing, we have to consider the negative impact of

  908. one decision by a mother. Rebecca's name means well fed,

  909. and she seems to be the polar in the opposite

  910. of this widow woman and one well fed, with everything

  911. she needed and all life had to offer, made bad choices.

  912. But on the other hand, God saw that mama with

  913. the kettle on the stove, saw that mama do it

  914. or dead level best to provide and be there for

  915. that child. God sent a man of God to tell

  916. him it's gonna be okay. I'm gonna feat you. I

  917. don't know where you're at this morning or where you fall,

  918. but we agreed mutually that there is a good mother

  919. and a bad mother, and at the center of every

  920. good mother's being.

  921. It's Jesus. No great love hath Man than this. You

  922. can't love right.

  923. Till you have him. You can't feel right till you

  924. have him. You can't even discipline right until you have him,

  925. Brother Jesse. Would y'all come around, Brother Philip, I'd like

  926. you to sing that song again. Every Wise woman buildeth

  927. her house, but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

  928. This Mother's day we reminisce on the good times. But

  929. before we choose a pattern, we should consider the outcome.

  930. How was that home life? And how was that home environment?

  931. I dare say there is hardly a young boy in

  932. scripture a man whose mother'sly love was represented more greatly

  933. than by this widow woman. Someone barely doing it, someone

  934. barely making it, but despite all her lack and man,

  935. she still gave it her best. And I caution you mothers,

  936. amen and myself alike, take it to God before you

  937. get involved.

  938. Amen.

  939. As they saying, is there someone this morning that like

  940. to come pray? Someone this morning that lack to acknowledge? Amen?

  941. They want and men God to help them.

  942. The Redeemer.

  943. I can't help you this morning, man, but I know.

  944. He'll be your father and friends for her.

  945. He'd be a husband unto you.

  946. And if you think, and let's come pray this morn

  947. God's mindful of each one of us. Who's talking to

  948. us this morning? Oh God, I knew him.

  949. Man, what's on the scale?

  950. Friend?

  951. What do you offer for nurishing? And so is the

  952. love of Jesus him?

  953. Say this man, brother Phillips, redeemer, the one that can

  954. fix it.

  955. But cool him.

  956. Gee, he's a blessing a mother or he I'm unpacked

  957. in an influence.

  958. If you pray to sneak that no one loves you

  959. and your life if it's out of hand, Oh but I.

  960. Knew a man who came, And.

  961. I can't take a heart that's broken and making dover again.

  962. Oh but I.

  963. Knew a man who came, and I can take a

  964. soole that sensic and make it.

  965. Wild as the snow. O.

  966. But I.

  967. I know a man who can, and son.

  968. Call him, Say your the redeemer of all men. But

  969. I call him Jesus, for he is my dearest friend.

  970. Oh.

  971. And if you think that no one loves you and

  972. your life fits out of hand, Oh but I know

  973. a man who can, and and I can't walk upon

  974. the water.

  975. Came a reging sea.

  976. BIRDA I knew.

  977. A man who who came, And oh and I can't

  978. cause blind eyes. Two open over the lane to walk again.

  979. Obada I knew a man who came
