  1. precious name I pray the name above all names

  2. y 'all say with me Jesus amen amen with love

  3. on the person next to him and tell him I'm so

  4. glad to see you in church today listen I am extraordinarily

  5. excited if you didn't get the news we are starting

  6. look at neighbor said we're starting something

  7. new today We are starting a truth new truth collection

  8. today and I am I can say extraordinarily Excited

  9. about this one. I'm stirred up to the full to

  10. till it overflows, right and I'm gonna go ahead

  11. do that piece at the end. There was something

  12. I was going gonna do at the beginning But I'm

  13. gonna go ahead and reserve it for the end of

  14. the message But boy, I got a testimony to tell,

  15. and I'm so excited to tell it. But to this new

  16. Truth Collection, if you didn't know, we do two

  17. things here at Revenue Truth Ministries. We do

  18. sermon series and things we call Truth Collections,

  19. right? And you guys can turn to the book of Ephesians.

  20. And the sermon series are topical, right? So

  21. we talked about new life, new community. But

  22. when we do truth collections, we like to just

  23. pick out a book in the Bible and go line upon

  24. line to see what God is going to do. And so God

  25. was saying, and so I'm excited. And I believe

  26. we should be able to get this book done over

  27. the summer. But we are going to be studying the

  28. Book of Ephesians over the summer. Oh, I'm so

  29. excited about it. And the subject matter is this.

  30. The title of this truth collection is I have

  31. a reason to praise. I have a reason to praise.

  32. Look, your neighbor said I have a reason to praise.

  33. And here's the truth, right? Many believers have

  34. fallen into a dangerous place, which is reactionary

  35. praise, which they're praising based on change

  36. and circumstances. They're praising based upon

  37. things shifting. But truthfully, as believers,

  38. our praise should not be reactionary. It should

  39. be a lifestyle. that we've been called into a

  40. lifestyle of praise. Matter of fact, the Bible

  41. teaches us that praise is important to God because

  42. it fulfills our intended purpose that you were

  43. created to praise, right? That praise is acknowledgement,

  44. it ushers in his presence, God's presence. Psalms

  45. 22 and three says, God inhabits the praises of

  46. his. people and so it lets us know that praise

  47. isn't something that we should take casually

  48. but praise is something that we should take to

  49. heart that we should be people who praise the

  50. lord and so the title of um my message today

  51. is let's get loud let's get loud that by the

  52. end of this message, this series, your praise

  53. should go up a few decibels, right? That wherever

  54. you come in at, you should come out a little

  55. louder than the way you came in. And because

  56. here's the truth, right? Truth is when we praise

  57. the Lord, our hearts are drawn away from our

  58. afflictions and are set upon his presence and

  59. his mighty power. That praise draws your attention

  60. away from your. afflictions away from your problems

  61. away from shame guilt and condemnation and it

  62. reminds you of the power of God that the reason

  63. we praise is because we are in remembrance of

  64. the power of God that we understand what what

  65. God can do that's why praise is a lifestyle because

  66. I understand that God can always change what

  67. I think is unchangeable so I don't have to wait

  68. for it to change in order to praise the Lord

  69. I Praise the Lord because I know his power is

  70. available. I'm getting excited, right? But many

  71. believers, their praise is connected to what

  72. is going on around them. that's a grave right

  73. we've been talking about going from graves to

  74. glory right that many believers that their praise

  75. has got to a place where it is connected to what's

  76. going on around them that if a door opens they

  77. praise them that when prayers are answered they

  78. praise them that if situations change they praise

  79. them but here's the truth our praise should be

  80. a lifestyle not a reaction That we don't react

  81. in praise. We live by praise. That we wake up

  82. in the morning, what we praise the Lord. Thank

  83. you for waking me up today. That before you break

  84. bread, you say, God, thank you for this food,

  85. this nourishment to my body. That before you

  86. go to sleep, God, thank you for this day. I'm

  87. ending it with sound mind, with clarity of thought.

  88. And I'm thankful that you're gonna wake me up

  89. tomorrow. And we gonna do it again. But as believers,

  90. we are to praise. God as a lifestyle go ahead

  91. look at him say hey neighbor your praise should

  92. be loud too right because what is happening what

  93. what what happens when a person is struggling

  94. to praise God and I think it's important for

  95. us to realize that when a person is struggling

  96. to praise God it is evidence that your faith

  97. is shifting away from his presence and power

  98. being available. That when you refuse to praise

  99. God, you find it difficult to praise. It's also

  100. indication that you are also losing hope that

  101. God can change you. And so I know sometimes people

  102. see people praising the Lord. They say they doing

  103. too much. No, they are heavily reminded of what

  104. he can do. That praise is evidence that I trust

  105. God. that I still believe in God and my trust

  106. in him has responded in a praise you see. But

  107. it is important for us to realize that if you

  108. see a believer who is hesitant, they just can't

  109. open their mouth. They can't move their feet.

  110. They can't clap their hands, whatever your expression

  111. is But when that there is a difficulty or withholding

  112. and I'm not saying this as a person who hasn't

  113. been there before You know, I was the type of

  114. person that I was the one that said it doesn't

  115. take all that it just doesn't take all that but

  116. truthfully if I was being honest that that was

  117. me that was me trying to convince myself Of what

  118. wasn't necessary But the Bible tells us that

  119. our God is worthy to be praised I'm not saying

  120. you have to mimic somebody else I'm saying but

  121. over time you find how your praise is to go to

  122. God that Somehow some way he shapes a unique

  123. way that you praise him for what he has done

  124. But the thing I really want to say the thought

  125. that it doesn't take all that has to go away

  126. Because truth is our praise is not born out of

  127. a changed place, but a revealed position. That's

  128. what I'm saying, that the book of Ephesians finished

  129. show us how, no, no, no, you have a reason to

  130. praise. Because it's not about a change in position.

  131. It's a change in place. It's about a revealed

  132. position. I see who I am in Christ. Praising

  133. what I know about who I am in Christ I'm responding

  134. to who I am But in Ephesians 1 to 1 Paul writes

  135. this book While he is in prison That Paul is

  136. writing this book about praise while he is in

  137. a prison that his environment looks like a grave,

  138. but the revelation he has still brings praise

  139. out of him. Why you saying this is because that

  140. shows this evidence that our praise shouldn't

  141. be controlled or governed by our environment,

  142. but our environment should be governed. By our

  143. praise What are you saying that truth it is is

  144. not the place that should govern our praise but

  145. our praise that should govern the place We see

  146. this all the time any of you guys ever been out

  147. shopping somewhere and you was there right about

  148. when they closed and Then they turned the music

  149. off And it's listen you was it's like you was

  150. having a shopping experience The music turns

  151. off and it's like everything shifted you ever

  152. felt that before it happens at many places But

  153. when the music turns off, it's like it's over

  154. like it's done. The atmosphere is gone What what

  155. are you saying that? No, this is a reality That

  156. sound shapes atmospheres that sound sets the

  157. tone of how you embrace where you are That the

  158. sound matters where you are that when there's

  159. no sound there's often it's hard to maintain

  160. good atmosphere I'm gonna say it again that where

  161. there is no sound. It's hard to maintain a good

  162. atmosphere because sound governs atmospheres

  163. Sound can set the tone of an atmosphere Sound

  164. can let you know whether or not I should stay

  165. or go gunshots leave Violence, stay. Why am I

  166. saying this? I'm saying because a lot of times

  167. we walk into places as if they govern, as this

  168. place has authority over how it feels. No, you

  169. have authority through your praise. to shape

  170. and govern every environment you walk into. That

  171. sound shapes the environment. You walk in there.

  172. OK. I'm getting ahead of myself. But just to

  173. give you guys some understanding that the context,

  174. the emphasis, right? This is who Ephesians is

  175. written to. It's a wealthy city. It's a spiritual

  176. marketplace. It's a place. full of competing

  177. identities and false gods. And so Paul opens

  178. up this letter, right? He opens up this letter,

  179. letting know that the life of faith is not founded

  180. upon the pursuit of better behavior, but upon

  181. the unveiling of who you are in Christ. And so

  182. he begins that conversation to get them to move

  183. away from what their environment is and start

  184. to praise God as a result of what he has done

  185. by reminding them that your faith is not founded

  186. upon the pursuit of better behavior, but upon

  187. the unveiling of who you are. That the foundation

  188. of your faith isn't better behavior, it's understanding

  189. who you. are when you forget that the foundation

  190. of your faith is who you are in Christ, you allow

  191. your behavior to shift how you feel about the

  192. state of your salvation. But when you realize

  193. that the foundation of your salvation isn't about

  194. your behavior, but what God has done, you have

  195. a reason to praise. Y 'all already ready look

  196. at them say we already ready Pastor stop pumping

  197. the prime priming the pump. Whatever way you

  198. go. I Just want y 'all to know why we talking

  199. about this right now Because a lot of you guys

  200. are allowing circumstances to change dictate

  201. See y 'all ready? It says Paul, an apostle, starting

  202. in verse one, Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus

  203. by the will of God to the saints who are in Ephesus

  204. and are faithful in Christ Jesus. He says, grace

  205. to you and peace from God our Father and the

  206. Lord Jesus. Christ, that already right here in

  207. these first two verses, Paul is laying the foundation

  208. of why they have a reason to praise. And it starts

  209. with the labeling of to the saints of Ephesus.

  210. He's letting them know that I'm calling you according

  211. to who you are, not where you are right now.

  212. He says, to the saints. Look at your neighbor

  213. say, hey neighbor, you are a saint. A saint is

  214. a holy one, one set apart and consecrated by

  215. God, that he's giving them their identity even

  216. in the midst of their confusion, that he's letting

  217. them know, I know that y 'all are. Serving false

  218. gods y 'all are doing things that God does not

  219. approve of but to get your attention Let me remind

  220. you of who you are. You are a saint a holy one

  221. set apart Consecrated by God that God chose you

  222. he knows you he selected you he picked you and

  223. he's calling you a saint What are you saying

  224. that he's not saying to the successful ones to

  225. the perfect ones the ones who have it all together

  226. He is saying to the saints Now I'm gonna have

  227. you say this to yourself say I am a saint a holy

  228. one set apart consecrated by God Because truth

  229. is God doesn't name you according to your condition

  230. he names you according to his calling What are

  231. you saying, Pastor Brian? That they were in Ephesus'

  232. location, but they were in Christ, their identity.

  233. That as believers, we have to understand that

  234. we'll always have a physical location, but we

  235. have an identity everywhere we go. And our identity

  236. always supersedes our location. Hear what I'm

  237. saying. Your location never speaks to your identity.

  238. Your identity always shapes your location. That's

  239. why it starts with saying, you are a saint, a

  240. holy one, consecrated by God. Take that. into

  241. every environment you see, that you are holy,

  242. consecrated, set apart, and called by God. I

  243. know you are going to a foreclosure, but that

  244. foreclosed atmosphere doesn't change your identity.

  245. Walk in there as a holy one. consecrated, set

  246. apart by God, and watch you, your identity begin

  247. to shape this atmosphere. You responded differently

  248. to this than anybody else. I know, baby, because

  249. this is a blip on the radar. It's not my founding

  250. location. This may be a foreclosure today, but

  251. I know a God that can work things together for

  252. their good. And so although this is my present

  253. location, it hasn't shifted my identity of who

  254. I am. So although I shouldn't be praising because

  255. of where I am, no, I got a reason to praise because

  256. of who I am. Who I am is a reason to praise that

  257. it doesn't, I know I may show up. in some places

  258. have been through some things done some things

  259. said some things but those locations do not determine

  260. who i am to the saints say it one more time i

  261. am a saint because there's the truth truth is

  262. your environment may describe where you are but

  263. jesus defines who you are. And so I see a lot

  264. of believers right now. It's that midway point

  265. of the year. And you're thinking right now, I'm

  266. not where I thought I would be. I came to turn

  267. that devil upside down on his head today. And

  268. so you're thinking, not another year like this.

  269. And where you are is trying to shift your sense

  270. of what God can do. Where you are is trying to

  271. shape who you are now. It's trying to change

  272. it. I thought I'd be further along. I thought

  273. this, I thought this, I thought this. We all

  274. had thoughts. And if we really wanna be transparent,

  275. 98 % of us aren't living what we thought It's

  276. okay there's lots of churches in Tampa if you

  277. if this this is the one for the people that I

  278. may not be Where I am, but I know who I am And

  279. I want to take who I am and start to allow it

  280. to shape where I'm about to be though Listen,

  281. listen, listen. But no, like 98, I tell you all

  282. the time, this is just not where I thought I

  283. would be. I just never saw myself facing these

  284. circumstances, and I never saw, and I never saw,

  285. and I never thought, and I never could, and I

  286. never imagined, and I never this, and I never

  287. that. I said, okay. what we not gonna do is allow

  288. that to shape who we are as a great description

  289. of how you got here but that ain't the fuel that's

  290. gonna get you from here no no no no no that's

  291. that's the thing that's gonna keep you here you

  292. keep thinking about that you ain't moving from

  293. here you gonna have to shift how you are in order

  294. to move from this location. I know you can describe

  295. to a T how you got here, but what you need to

  296. understand is how you don't stay here. And let

  297. me tell you, this is how you don't stay here.

  298. You start to remind yourself who you are. the

  299. midst of it make some folks mad start them start

  300. getting loud start get make a man but who does

  301. God say we are says we are chosen we are accepted

  302. we are covered by grace we are his possession

  303. Speak this over yourself. I'm chosen. I'm accepted.

  304. I'm covered by grace. I'm his possession. That's

  305. who I am. That's who I am. And who I am is about

  306. to shape and shift where I am. We've been talking

  307. about new life, new community. And this is where

  308. I want to really help us as a community. Because

  309. we have to help each other live this out. The

  310. truth is we must become a community that calls

  311. out identity before insecurity. We don't remind

  312. people of where they've been. We remind them

  313. of who God says you are. The moment one of your

  314. brothers and sisters start to get on one of them

  315. trains be like, who are you? I ain't ask you

  316. where you are and how you got here. I said, who

  317. are you? No, no, I know the story is a good one

  318. to tell. But if telling the story keeps you in

  319. this chapter, then we got to tell a new story.

  320. Why are you saying this, Pastor Brian? Because

  321. you'll never get up from something you've been

  322. knocked down from until you realize you have

  323. the strength to. Many people are sitting on the

  324. sidelines Because they don't recognize they have

  325. the strength to actually play Why are you saying

  326. pastor Brian because you know how many y 'all

  327. I talked to and You know what God has called

  328. you to do then you start telling me what you

  329. got to do to be qualified for How many y 'all

  330. in this room right now smothered and covered

  331. With what you think you need to do in order to

  332. be qualified for what I actually raise your hand

  333. for a guy called I'm kind of as you call yourselves

  334. out for what God called you to do Y 'all want

  335. here percentage I could I'm nice. Nobody's raised

  336. a hand But from my conversations amongst and

  337. in the community it's 98 % of us We know who

  338. God says we are. We know where God's called us

  339. to be. We're just smothered, covered, and chunked

  340. in the qualifications the world says we need

  341. in order to participate in the thing God said.

  342. Some of our reactionary thoughts aren't praising

  343. God. It's compiling the NIST of who we need to

  344. be in order to do what he said And all I'm saying

  345. is before you create that list Before you start

  346. to pile up a list of things You have to be qualified

  347. in in order to do what God says first remind

  348. yourself I was chosen Accepted covered by grace

  349. For what he's called me to do Verse three, he

  350. says, bless be the God and father of our Lord

  351. Jesus Christ. Look at this, who has blessed us

  352. in Christ with every spiritual blessings in heavenly

  353. places, even as he chose us, what, in him. before

  354. the foundation of the world that we should be

  355. holy and blameless before him in love What are

  356. you saying pastor Brian that he's letting us

  357. know that there are some things you have to realize

  358. that have already been done Before you start

  359. thinking about what needs to be done is that

  360. we live from the identity of what Christ has

  361. already done, that your strength for the race

  362. God has called you to sits on the foundation

  363. of who you are in Christ, not how qualified you

  364. are by this world. That when God speaks a word

  365. to you, he's expecting you to look at what he's

  366. done to get the strength to qualify and see yourself

  367. as qualified for what he said. That he's saying

  368. that when you hear me say, this is for you, child,

  369. your next thought should be, I've been chosen,

  370. set apart, called by God, I've been made blameless,

  371. seen as holy, and given all spiritual blessings

  372. in heavenly places to get it done. I'm gonna

  373. say it again, because some of y 'all missed it.

  374. God says, hey, I understand where you are. But

  375. I told you, you will be a lender and not a borrower.

  376. You say, you know what we say? God, I got a lot

  377. of debt. Wrong foundation. You're starting from

  378. your environment, not your identity. I want you

  379. to open up a restaurant. You know, it takes six

  380. months to get a permit. I got a bill due next

  381. month this time and ain't gonna solve my problems

  382. You're looking at your environment Not your identity

  383. you're starting from a fractured foundation How

  384. should we put practice pastor Brian And this

  385. is really, I just gonna say, make it plain. Because

  386. really it's best when you get loud right in the

  387. midst. That unexpected letter shows up. There's

  388. been a miscalculation. You or us? Right there.

  389. God, you said I'm the head and not the tail.

  390. Above and not beneath. I'm blessed coming in

  391. and I'm blessed coming out. Now my environment

  392. says this, but my identity says I've been chosen,

  393. called, set apart, made holy, seen as blameless

  394. before you and have been given every spiritual

  395. blessing in heavenly places. so that I can experience

  396. every promise you've spoken. Y 'all rocking with

  397. me. And he's saying that's what starts to stir

  398. up our praise. Right in the midst. You hear the

  399. news, you get the report. You get the results.

  400. You see what is being said. But you never forget

  401. what's been said. Because we live from what the

  402. Bible describes as a finished work. We start

  403. our journeys from a finished position. We start

  404. our race from a it's already done position. We

  405. start every journey having already realized I

  406. have everything Necessary for what this journey

  407. is about to be So I'm not going into it seeing

  408. myself as insufficient I'm going into it seeing

  409. myself as full of what's necessary for what's

  410. ahead of me Look at your neighbor one more time.

  411. Say hey neighbor I got what it takes Find somebody

  412. else say hey you you have what it takes It says

  413. you have been blessed not you're going to be

  414. not it's coming not it's on the way not God's

  415. Considering it not possibly not when you not

  416. if this it says you have been blessed with all

  417. spiritual blessings in heavenly places. That

  418. you start with the mindset that I am full, I

  419. am flooded with God in heaven itself. Woo! Woo!

  420. Verse five says he predestined us for adoption

  421. to himself as sons through Jesus Christ according

  422. to the purpose of his will. I love this right

  423. here because it lets us know that God was determined.

  424. God was determined that God had a will. He had

  425. a design for how he wanted to see us exist in

  426. this world. And God was determined to see us

  427. exist. as we were created in this world, that

  428. God had a fixation, a desire to see me and you

  429. operate at our full capacity in the midst of

  430. this world, that God was determined to make sure

  431. me and you started sufficiently full of what

  432. we need in order to be successful, that it was

  433. God's will. You gotta hear what I'm saying. It

  434. ain't your choice. It was God's will. It wasn't

  435. your behavior. It was God's will. It wasn't your

  436. prayer. It's God's will. God was determined to

  437. set you up for victory. It was in his will, his

  438. good pleasure out of his love, from his grace

  439. that you couldn't earn nor deserve that he gave

  440. you all. Spiritual blessings in heavenly places

  441. God was determined for you to wake up every day

  442. and realize I am full and flooded with God himself

  443. So ahead of time before you chose him. He adopted

  444. you. You got to hear what Paul is saying He's

  445. saying you didn't choose this he chose you he

  446. called you out of darkness brought you into this

  447. marvelous light he He flooded you with blessings

  448. in all spiritual places. He then made you righteous,

  449. made you holy, made you blameless, set you apart,

  450. called you a saint, because He was determined

  451. for you to walk in this world, not living based

  452. on what it is, but on who you are. God was determined.

  453. It was His idea. It was His pleasure. It was

  454. His design. You didn't choose you. He chose you.

  455. You, woo, called you out, set you apart, then

  456. set you up. Woo, it was God. Look at you, understand

  457. what I'm saying? It was God. I got this thing,

  458. I was walking around all week saying this and

  459. look what the Lord has done. Woo, look what the

  460. Lord has done. Some of y 'all need to get yourselves

  461. a mirror, look at it and just say, look what

  462. the Lord has done. Look what the Lord has done.

  463. It wasn't me, it wasn't you, it was God himself.

  464. His determination, His choice, His pleasure that

  465. decided to send His Son to die a bloody death

  466. so that you wouldn't be judged by your sin, you

  467. wouldn't be condemned by what you've done, but

  468. that you would see yourself as holy, blameless,

  469. acceptable, and a well -pleasing before Him.

  470. It was His choice. It was His choice. Look at

  471. your neighbor say, I am. Who he says I am What

  472. you gonna do about this I don't know but I am

  473. Who he said I am I'm the head and not to tell

  474. above and not believe bless going in and bless

  475. coming out I'm the lender and not to borrow.

  476. I'm the heal protected my health I'm the peace

  477. of God in every situation that shows up. I'm

  478. righteous. I'm chosen. I'm blameless. I'm holy.

  479. I'm set apart, consecrated, called by name. Whoo!

  480. That's who I am. That's who I am. That's who

  481. you are. Get yourself together. It's already

  482. done. And God wants us to start to see this as

  483. clear, as clear as we see this. from a physical

  484. position. Here's the thing. Amber's last name

  485. is Pope. Did she have a choice? I'll see what

  486. I'm saying. She ain't have a choice in the matter.

  487. And every once in a while, Amber will display

  488. behavior that's not representative of her last

  489. name. And I'll look at her, and I'll say, pose,

  490. don't do that. Now, I want you to realize something.

  491. Even though Shaping her in the character of what

  492. her last name represents Just because she hasn't

  493. achieved The character of what her last name

  494. represents. It doesn't change You got to hear

  495. what I'm saying it doesn't change her last name

  496. It doesn't change her last name. She is a pole

  497. when she act like one and when she doesn't, she

  498. can't change her last name. She is not legally

  499. capable of changing her last name. She don't

  500. have a vote in the matter, a choice in the matter.

  501. If she walked in today and said, Rashida and

  502. Brian, I don't want to be a poll no more. We'll

  503. say, girl, you done lost your mind, but we ain't

  504. changing your last name. You were born a poll

  505. and you will Be a Po until legal situations happen

  506. and there is a process that transitions you,

  507. but guess what? The name don't go nowhere, it

  508. just slides. You came in this world of Po and

  509. you coming out this world of Po. You didn't have

  510. a choice in the matter and I'm trying to tell

  511. you that's the Confidence that God wants you

  512. to walk in recording your name and identity in

  513. him. You don't have a choice I know sometimes

  514. you don't act like it, but it doesn't change

  515. who you are You are not actually capable of changing

  516. it. You didn't wonder one that chose it He chose

  517. you you didn't choose to be holy. He made you

  518. holy you didn't choose to be blameless He made

  519. you blameless. You didn't choose heavenly blesses.

  520. He gave them to you The Bible says he poured

  521. it out upon you in his lavish love and a tip.

  522. I could run right now. I just want to run. Because

  523. when I think about what God has done, you can't

  524. help but praise him. You can't help but praise

  525. him. Look, I got a reason to praise. I'm gonna

  526. stop praying here. But I just came to get y 'all

  527. stirred up this morning. Satan is not taking

  528. this year from us. I know we have all seen and

  529. been through a lot of things thus far. We've

  530. lost some people, but we haven't lost who we

  531. are. We have failed at some things, but we haven't

  532. lost who we are. We haven't been perfect at all

  533. things, but it hasn't changed who we are. We

  534. said some things and done some things, but it

  535. hasn't changed who we are. God is still determined

  536. to complete the work He started in your life,

  537. and He is the one that is faithful to complete

  538. it. God's not done, so we aren't done. in this

  539. book so that we can look at it. He's going from

  540. graves to glory. He's going from graves to glory,

  541. and God's not done yet. For some of y 'all, he

  542. ain't even got started yet. But don't you allow

  543. good doing to cause you to begin to doubt his

  544. power. No, no, let your praise represent your

  545. trust in him. Your praise is a sign that your

  546. faith has not shifted away from what he said

  547. But it is firmly planted in what he said your

  548. praise Will change the atmosphere You've let

  549. what has happened shape it enough. It's time

  550. to let what he's done Shape it now Well, I'm

  551. trying to go I could close everything I got up

  552. here. Woo! Look what the Lord has done. I wanna

  553. show y 'all something. I wanna show y 'all something.

  554. Boy, and I'm telling you. Yo, yo when I refer

  555. to me myself, I'm just just let y 'all know but

  556. um, yo pastor Oh, I got a lot of a lot of persecutors

  557. a lot of people say things and doubt a lot of

  558. things But this is what I know The race isn't

  559. given to the swift The race isn't given to the

  560. strong, but into he that endures to the end.

  561. I only, not only do I know what God said, I know

  562. how God said it should look. And you don't, there's

  563. nothing like the confidence and courage you get

  564. when you got both. Only do I know what God said

  565. I know how what God said should look I know what

  566. how God says should sound But I'm so godly proud

  567. of y 'all So godly proud of y 'all as a church,

  568. as a people. This week, what has been a three

  569. year spiritual battle, them walls came crumbling

  570. down. God told us to be absolutely determined

  571. determined not to be peripheral in the lives

  572. of this next generation, but to be integrated

  573. in the lives of this next generation, to not

  574. be no substitute, to not be the other thing,

  575. but to be the thing. And so it looked wild. At

  576. times crazy, even to me. Move a school into this

  577. building. When we gonna start this, I know what

  578. we need to start, but I also know what it needs

  579. to look like when it starts. And I refuse to

  580. see it ever represented less than what it was

  581. supposed to be. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,

  582. no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,

  583. no. There should never be an asterisk on God's

  584. work. What's that asterisk? Oh, that's just the

  585. church. Oh, they're just Christians. And so that

  586. asterisk lets the quality go down, the presentation

  587. go down, that we say, you know, it was good for

  588. what the church is doing. Some of y 'all said

  589. that with your own mouths. It was a nice thing

  590. the church did, knowing it pales in comparison

  591. when stacked up against. what the world is doing.

  592. Just reveal the truth, can we just tell the truth?

  593. And I'm sharing this with you that I'm just trying

  594. to be sensitive to people too at the same time,

  595. but I want you to understand sometimes what the

  596. journey looks like when you're doing what God

  597. said. People mad, people upset, people confused,

  598. all the stuff. Some of y 'all seen it too, the

  599. walls is dirty. When we gonna clean the walls

  600. in? Meanwhile, Deacon Frankie doing everything

  601. he can to paint the walls to keep them white.

  602. They came to me, the school came to me. Why can't

  603. we just paint them a different color? I said,

  604. because if it's a different color, we won't see

  605. when they messed up. The key isn't dark walls.

  606. The key is white walls that we keep training

  607. the kids how to keep clean. My dad told me when

  608. you can't do fancy, at least you can do clean.

  609. Clean. is capable clean is achievable for everybody

  610. and many people are asking for excellence while

  611. stepping over cleaning you got to do clean before

  612. you can do excellent can a church say amen I'm

  613. just trying to tell you how to live this word

  614. out I'm trying to tell you how you stand up and

  615. realize oh now that you know who you are your

  616. car shouldn't look like that your house shouldn't

  617. look like that you shouldn't look like that you

  618. should represent who you are I know some y 'all

  619. want to keep this in a spiritual place, but the

  620. spiritual is always there to get our physical

  621. together. Just take this as this. Amber, you

  622. are a poet. I'm telling you right, you are a

  623. saint. You are a saint, a holy one, consecrated,

  624. set apart for the purposes of God. That's who

  625. you are. I'm going to say it again. It just gets

  626. me stirred up every time I hear it. But you are

  627. in the same way I would look at amber and say

  628. you're a pope. I need you to realize this you

  629. are a saint a holy one consecrated Set apart

  630. made blameless made holy made righteous so that

  631. you could serve the purposes of an almighty God

  632. That is who you are That's who you are. No, Pastor

  633. Brian, no, no, no, no. Many of y 'all still trying

  634. to let your environment say who you are. No,

  635. no, no, I'm telling you who you are. And you

  636. start letting that identity shape your environment.

  637. Shake the way you talk, shake the way you walk,

  638. shake the way you keep your house, keep your

  639. clothes, keep your kids, everything, everything,

  640. everything. Your life is flooded and radiating

  641. with this glory. Whoo! So where people see you,

  642. they just notice something different about you.

  643. Yeah, there is. I'm a holy one. The same. Set

  644. apart. Called by God. You know, I have to do

  645. the whole run. consecrated I've been made blameless

  646. and holy I've been forgiven of all my sins yesterday

  647. today and the ones to come I've been I've been

  648. made righteous I've been invited into the courts

  649. of God I have an intimate relationship with the

  650. shaper and creator of the universe he knows me

  651. by name I can't get away from that. I can't get

  652. away from it. Whoo! Let that sit on y 'all for

  653. a minute. Just let it sit on you for a minute.

  654. That's who you are. That's who you are. That's

  655. who you are. That's who you are. That's who you

  656. are. Now say to y 'all, that's who I am. That's

  657. who I am. That's who I am. That's who I am. I'm

  658. a mess with y 'all. I'm not a Democrat. I'm not

  659. a Republican. I'm a holy one. Because y 'all

  660. starting to argue over that again. When you're

  661. not even in that system, you're not even, you're

  662. not even. I'm saying stuff to you. Hear what

  663. I'm saying. They told us church and state can't

  664. coexist. There is a whole state church, state

  665. school in our church. How'd that happen? Well,

  666. I'm a holy one called by God, consecrated, set

  667. apart for the will of Him to be done. He called

  668. me by name. I didn't even choose it. He chose

  669. me and blessed me and set me up. to say things

  670. and do things and to pursue things that would

  671. bring glory to his kingdom and shake this world's

  672. foundations that when the world looks at it they

  673. can only say look what the the lord has done

  674. because how did you get it done how did it happen

  675. this ain't even supposed to happen how did it

  676. happen how did it happen it's not supposed to

  677. happen but it's happening to get to it. Y 'all

  678. put up the photos. Y 'all put up the photos because

  679. we got evidence. Ain't nothing like some evidence.

  680. But right here, y 'all see the smiling faces

  681. on the kids faces on the kids because them ain't

  682. our kids. These are children from the community.

  683. Where they at y 'all? Look what it reads. Look

  684. what it reads. This summer, our Bulldogs have

  685. been enjoying an exciting collaboration with

  686. Revealing Truth Ministries through their Young

  687. Art Big Dream program. Together! We have created

  688. meaningful opportunities for students to explore,

  689. create, and grow through engaging, enriched experiences.

  690. From team building challenges and dance classes

  691. to arts and crafts and interactive games and

  692. creative activities, our students have been building

  693. confidence, developing friendships, and making

  694. unforgettable summer memories in fun, safe, and

  695. faith. Go show the other half. Environment, we're

  696. so grateful for our partnership with Revealing

  697. Truth Ministries and the Young Heart Big Dreams

  698. programs. This incredible collaboration has provided

  699. enriching experiences for our students and we're

  700. excited to continue bringing this same spirit

  701. of creativity, teamwork, and hands -on learning

  702. into the upcoming year. Thank you, Revealing

  703. Truth Ministries. for making this summer so special.

  704. Here's to an amazing school year ahead. That's

  705. not our post, that's their post talking about

  706. what the Lord has done. Listen, the kids were

  707. coming into the building saying, when do we get

  708. to be with the church people? Ooh, y 'all got

  709. to hear what's shifting spiritually. They came

  710. into the building saying, when do we get to be

  711. with the church people? These are summer school

  712. kids. They don't want to be here. But now they

  713. enjoy being here. Generations will speak of what

  714. that means. I just came here to tell y 'all,

  715. y 'all got a reason to praise. Tell y 'all thank

  716. you. Thank you for believing. Thank you for sowing.

  717. They came in, the teachers said, y 'all are giving

  718. them Real paint supplies We said Yes Blown away

  719. Blown away And what I love so much is God set

  720. it up in a way that he cannot be ignored I'm

  721. saying this because we've been going back and

  722. forward for over a year and some change of saying

  723. we need to get with the kids. And I want to be

  724. transparent with y 'all. Can I be transparent

  725. for a moment? I discern by the spirit that they

  726. were trying to use us in a moment to build them

  727. a playground. when what we partnered on was we

  728. was gonna do it together. But we not to be played

  729. with. My editing crew ain't in here right now,

  730. so I'm gonna tell y 'all the real truth, too.

  731. No, no, no, it's cool. I know how to keep it

  732. holy. I'm sharing these things with you, because

  733. I want you to realize what the fight often looks

  734. like. You're talking about a year and a half

  735. later. You're talking about promises made, not

  736. kept. You're talking about people saying stuff

  737. like, where is it? And I'm saying it would be

  738. hard to explain, but we're using it as a bargaining

  739. tool. because we refuse to lay down and do something

  740. that would keep them from actually honoring what

  741. our commitment was. We said from the beginning,

  742. the only reason we're doing this is so that we

  743. can touch those kids. No touch, no playground.

  744. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no touch. No,

  745. this is system. All this stuff is just, no. We

  746. got, I'm just part that, what's it gonna say?

  747. Sometimes you gotta talk to people like this

  748. for them to understand. We're sitting down in

  749. the table right there. This is probably three

  750. months ago. And they're saying some things. I

  751. said, you know, y 'all have an interesting way

  752. of negotiating. They said what do you mean? I

  753. says for some reason y 'all choose to pick a

  754. path that continues to make me trust you less

  755. and less They looked up I Said now it's not none

  756. of my business But I wouldn't advise you practice

  757. this type of communication with anybody else

  758. outside this room, but I can tell you this I

  759. Will not return to this room. I'm done talking

  760. my little evidence over there. They was emailing,

  761. calling, saying all types of stuff for three

  762. months. I said, don't y 'all say a word back.

  763. Silence. What we gonna do about this? What we

  764. gonna do about that? We not doing nothing. We

  765. will wait and see what the Lord's gonna do. Where

  766. is this and where is that? Listen, this is what

  767. I do trust if you are if you see what God is

  768. doing and you stay prayed up and stop Stop listening

  769. to people and they stuff you'll see what God

  770. is doing But you can't be called by God and care

  771. about what with the comment section saying And

  772. some of the worst comments come from the people

  773. you care about you got to know that too Y 'all

  774. live this out. But you got to know who you are.

  775. Stay firmly planted. I know what he said. You

  776. don't look like something's going on. Why would

  777. I look like it? What type of faith are you? Are

  778. you talking about that we look like what we are

  779. going through? Why would I look like it? Of course

  780. I don't look like it. I walk around like everything

  781. is just how God wants it to be. We think we found

  782. somebody that will understand the vision that

  783. y 'all have. And so we gonna go ahead and do

  784. a rearrangement of the people that you've been

  785. dealing with. We have a whole new set for you

  786. to start dealing with. and they understand everything

  787. y 'all want to do. I said, all right, set up

  788. to meet, walked into the room, same room. Pastor,

  789. I already know everything y 'all want to do.

  790. And the answer is yes. I will work to get it

  791. all. If people change some things around, the

  792. answer was yes, but everybody is saying no, but

  793. as I was talking, I'm just talking to the wrong

  794. person. If the answer is yes and you saying no,

  795. I'm talking to the wrong person. It doesn't mean

  796. I'm doing the wrong thing or I'm pursuing the

  797. wrong thing. It just means either there's a new

  798. person coming or a shift is coming that you don't

  799. know about. to see what God called us to do again

  800. to birth and take root. I'm saying to you because

  801. I'm so proud of y 'all and you may not understand

  802. fully the significance of what you are a part

  803. of and how your contribution and support is changing

  804. a generation. I'm gonna do my best to let you

  805. know without getting us into too much trouble.

  806. Because when they find out, y 'all know there

  807. is a day, and when they find out what is happening

  808. on 5201 North Armenia. so strong and secure in

  809. who we are that we don't change our speech, we

  810. don't change our tone, and we continue to gain

  811. more and more territory for the kingdom of God.

  812. Amen. Y 'all enjoy church today. New life. New

  813. life. So if you're today, you're not saved, or

  814. you're listening online, you're not saved. We

  815. would love to take this opportunity to introduce

  816. you to Jesus. Man, hopefully this message has

  817. shown you that there's so much that he has to

  818. reveal to you about who you are. And so if that's

  819. you today, you want to give your life to Jesus,

  820. submit yourself to his leadership. Man, just

  821. think about your father's business. in the house,

  822. join us in the first room on the left as you

  823. leave, and we'll tell you all about what it means

  824. to be saved, amen. At this time, we'll also receive

  825. today's offering, amen. As you guys know, we

  826. believe in cheerful givers here at Revealing

  827. Truth from Ministries, that as a man, purpose

  828. in his heart, so let him give, not give. are

  829. of necessity because God loves a cheerful giver.

  830. How do we remain cheerful about your giving that

  831. you allow God to communicate what you talk to

  832. you, tell you what to sow and in response and

  833. obedience to what God says to do, you sow. And

  834. so if God, whatever God placed on your heart,

  835. do it and trust that he will never lead you astray.

  836. Some people ask me and I will tell them, I was

  837. like, Because there's so much I don't know why

  838. I don't know why people be so confused And uh,

  839. so some people come and still do we still time

  840. if I said, is that what god told you to do? It's

  841. the same response. What did god tell you to do?

  842. It's not hard and be cheerful about what he tells

  843. you to do Come on but a man I'm just thankful

  844. and appreciative that whatever God has laid on

  845. your heart to do that you do it. It most certainly

  846. gives us the ability to position, the opportunity

  847. to move forward the vision. That's amazing reason

  848. why I'm saying thank you. I asked you guys before,

  849. hey, can you sow into this kingdom offering so

  850. that we can make our camp free, so that we can

  851. do these things for free. And you guys sowed,

  852. that's how we were able to tell those kids that,

  853. no, it doesn't cost anything. that the paint's

  854. free, the food's free, all of it's free because

  855. there are people who love God, who love you.

  856. And so I thank you guys for giving us the ability

  857. to do that. It's what actually made it possible.

  858. And they just have never experienced a level

  859. of generosity like that. They don't know how

  860. to respond to the goodness of God. but I promise

  861. you it's a seed sown every time. Amen. I've already

  862. gone way over time, but it's okay. You know,

  863. we've been also, I know just to remind you guys

  864. that God told us to take this summer to understand

  865. how to function a multi -generational church.

  866. So that's why you see us doing the different

  867. things in worship, and we are saying, God, just

  868. show us how for us to coexist, right? We want

  869. to see the generations that Psalm tells us and

  870. Proverbs tells us, various works from one generation

  871. to the next. We're not trying to build a young

  872. church, and we're not trying to build a seasoned

  873. church. We're trying to build a multi -generational,

  874. His church. And so that means that we have to

  875. master how to do worship and how to do different

  876. things. And God told us to take the summer to

  877. do it. So that's what we've been doing. I thank

  878. you guys for being patient with that, right?

  879. Um, you know, so But uh god god get put a time

  880. frame. He said by august you gotta have it together

  881. So by august we'll have it together But I thank

  882. you guys for your patience as we um pursue new

  883. life and how we reach um this generation with

  884. truth Amen, but if you can stand to your feet,

  885. we will be dismissed Is there anything else I

  886. should be saying announcing? No, it's all good

  887. If it's all good and all hearts and minds are

  888. clear and full of faith, now unto him who is

  889. able to keep you from falling and to present

  890. you faultless for the presence of his glory with

  891. exceeding joy to the only wise God, our savior,

  892. be glory and majesty, man, in power both now

  893. and forever, amen.
