  1. message today is I'm so so grateful to God to

  2. come into and to share it with you and I just

  3. pray that it's as impactful as as as God has

  4. just stirred my spirit up to see I'll just pray

  5. we experienced the fruit of it in this moment

  6. but week week week one we started with let's

  7. get loud right and so this week we're gonna talk

  8. about can you see what God is doing Can you see

  9. what God is doing? And what do you mean by Pastor

  10. Brian? We can see what God is doing You can't

  11. help but start to praise him but seeing what

  12. God is doing and It is not as Automatic as we

  13. may want it to be the Bible tells us that behold.

  14. I'm doing a new thing Will you not perceive it

  15. which lets us know you can miss what God is doing.

  16. You can miss God could be moving, changing things,

  17. shifting things right in front of you, and you

  18. not perceive it. But we know that that is not

  19. the design that God has for us, but God wants

  20. us to see everything that he's doing. So look

  21. at your neighbor and say, hey neighbor, can you

  22. see what God is doing? And I pray that by the

  23. end of this message that anything that could

  24. be withholding your ability to see what God is

  25. doing in your life I pray that the Spirit of

  26. God removes whatever that is and you leave here

  27. with clear sight and say I can see what God is

  28. Doing let's just flip that we said can you let's

  29. just what no no I Love it y 'all right here with

  30. me The question was can you see what God is doing

  31. The goal would be by the time we leave this message

  32. is you to look at you. Hey neighbor, I Can see

  33. what God is doing I Can see him I can see him

  34. whoo, I can see him getting excited But we'll

  35. start at verse 15 and we will finish chapter

  36. 1 today in faith You know what, I'm gonna go

  37. up to 13. But it says, in him, you also, when

  38. you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your

  39. salvation, and believed in him were sealed with

  40. the promise, Holy Spirit, say, hey neighbor,

  41. you are sealed. And this is important because

  42. when we start to talk about, Seeing what God

  43. is doing. You have to see a finished work is

  44. that foundation and so what? Paul is giving credence

  45. to here, are bringing to our mind or to our hearts

  46. more, most importantly, is that when you believe,

  47. when you said, I am saved, I believe Jesus died

  48. and rose again, through that confession, at that

  49. moment, you became sealed with the promised Holy

  50. Spirit, right? So saved, sealed. Look at neighbor

  51. say, saved, sealed. Saved and sealed I'm God

  52. keep going Who is verse 14 so right? That's a

  53. thought right who is the guarantee of our inheritance

  54. until we acquire Possession of it to the praise

  55. of his glory verse 14 Paul then says hey you

  56. were saved now you are sealed I'm hearing myself

  57. somewhere But um But you were saved then Through

  58. that, you were sealed by the Holy Spirit, but

  59. not only are you sealed by the Holy Spirit, but

  60. that sealing is representation of a guarantee.

  61. What is that guarantee? That you have eternal

  62. life. Say, hey, neighbor. I have eternal life.

  63. It's been sealed. It's sealed. Much like a container,

  64. you know. that depending on how they seal something

  65. determines how long it can be preserved. A weak

  66. seal won't lead to something being preserved

  67. for a long time. But you could put a seal around

  68. something and it can be preserved for a very

  69. long time. I don't know if many of you guys noticed,

  70. but yesterday they were sealing a time capsule

  71. and they were saying, we don't want this open

  72. for another 250 years. Any of y 'all saw that?

  73. Thank y 'all for paying attention to the world

  74. around us But if you saw it, they didn't just

  75. put it in a Ziploc baggie If it's going to last

  76. 250 years there must be something, a way it's

  77. done so that it's guaranteed survive the journey,

  78. right? So they took it and they made sure it

  79. was airtight, because if liquid gets in, it can

  80. harm what's inside of it. They made sure how

  81. deep it was dug. They made sure that what it

  82. was made out of could last that time. Now you

  83. would think, why couldn't they just put it in

  84. the ground? Well, if you're talking about 250

  85. years, you have to put it in the ground in a

  86. way that it can survive all types of things.

  87. So when the Bible speaks of you being sealed

  88. by the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit being

  89. a guarantee, it's saying that this is what was

  90. necessary so that your eternal life would never

  91. be in question. Because the Holy Spirit is the

  92. greatest seal you could have to God being on

  93. your side. That the Holy Spirit represents God

  94. Himself living on the inside of you. And if God

  95. moved on the inside of you, look at your neighbor

  96. saying, Check it out. He sealed himself in there.

  97. Often tell people sometimes when you pass away,

  98. you just bring God back where he already put

  99. in you. Some of y 'all will catch that. God,

  100. I'm bringing back what you put in me. When I

  101. got saved, you moved in. Now I'm returning with

  102. what you sealed me with. That's how we can experience

  103. heaven here on earth heaven lives in you I'm

  104. gonna have y 'all some y 'all didn't catch that

  105. it's how we can experience Heavenly realities

  106. in this physical world is because heaven lives

  107. on the inside looking every say hey neighbor

  108. heaven lives in you Haha y 'all wanna hear something

  109. heaven is sealed in you I often get into arguments

  110. with people theological arguments. There's like

  111. can you lose your salvation? I said, well, do

  112. you know how to undo the seal? You would need

  113. you would need to know how to undo the seal in

  114. order to it to take what was secured and make

  115. it insecure Mmm, but this is important that you

  116. see this because this is that finished word You

  117. know what I don't like? This is not even part

  118. of my message. But it is so wrong, but some of

  119. y 'all just need to hear this, because you know

  120. what people think? They think their behavior

  121. unseals you. But he sealed you so your behavior

  122. can't undo what he did. That was the whole point.

  123. Jesus was sent so you could no longer get in

  124. the way. So how could you now disrupt what he

  125. sealed so that you couldn't even mess it up?

  126. Y 'all hear what I'm saying It's like putting

  127. a child lock on a piece of medicine You know,

  128. they put a little child lock so the kid can't

  129. get in it. They don't know how to Get it out

  130. It's been sealed You've been sealed It's important

  131. that you see this because what you understand

  132. is this is all done so that you can stop interpreting

  133. life through the lens of God not being for you.

  134. Because if you start to think that somehow God

  135. is out to get you, then you'll start to perceive

  136. what's in front of you as him trying to get you.

  137. And I tell people God doesn't. punish people,

  138. he prunes people. What is punishment? Punishment

  139. is when I am correcting you without vision of

  140. your future. Pruning is me adjusting you because

  141. I know what you can become. Can you perceive

  142. and see what God is doing? God knows what he's

  143. doing with you. So anything that comes to you,

  144. Right comes to you that makes you adjust that's

  145. not punishment. That's not that's that's pruning

  146. It's for your good and you understand that certain

  147. trees have to be seasonally prune Looks at this.

  148. Hey neighbor You are seasonally prune Every year

  149. there should be something you're working on The

  150. fact that I have something to work on isn't evidence

  151. that I'm going in the wrong direction. It's evidence

  152. that I'm headed in the right direction. The Bible

  153. describes God as a loving father who does not

  154. withhold what is necessary so that you can become

  155. to your full potential. He's not like your earthly

  156. father. Your earthly father would correct you

  157. through convenience. Your heavenly father corrects

  158. you based on what's promised. If your earthly

  159. father is tired, you may get a couple a cup,

  160. you know a couple lashes If you scream too long,

  161. I'm getting emotional it hurts Your heavenly

  162. father's like pain don't last always I Can heal

  163. anything is broken There's nothing like when

  164. you to punish and the physician I know what I

  165. can fix He said who is the guarantee of our inheritance

  166. until we acquire possession of it to the praise

  167. of his glory. So he's also wanting us to live

  168. as though we have a reward after life here on

  169. earth. The term inheritance speaks of set aside

  170. for an appointed time. Set aside for an appointed

  171. time and and when you know you have an inheritance

  172. How you treat every day should change? Just think

  173. about in the natural sense that if You knew you

  174. had an inheritance and this inheritance Kicked

  175. in once you hit the age 55 you treat 40 54 different

  176. Cuz I'm almost there You if someone calls you

  177. and says hey you just got fired you like, you

  178. know I could just live at somebody else for a

  179. year that ain't too long How you how you treat

  180. problem changes How you adjust to what's happening

  181. around you changes so he's not He's not saying

  182. you have an inheritance waiting on you so that

  183. you can just put hope in the future. He's wanting

  184. you to perceive today differently. He's wanting

  185. you to shape this truth and allow it to change

  186. how you act tomorrow. In the same way of some,

  187. I mean, say it again. If someone told you when

  188. you turn 55, you have a million dollars coming

  189. your way. If you get fired at 54, From a $35

  190. ,000 a year job You going out stressing you worried

  191. you concerned No, some of y 'all they pass what

  192. you talking about they fired me I quit Soon as

  193. I found out it was coming I quit Quit at 44 knowing

  194. it was coming at 54 Why why why because I have

  195. taken ownership of what's to come and So when

  196. we talk about living from a finished work is

  197. saying I'm taking ownership of what's to come

  198. in my today, that I am shaping what I see based

  199. on what I already know is settled. Amen, amen.

  200. He says, for this reason, because I have heard

  201. of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and your love

  202. towards all the saints, I do not cease to give

  203. thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers."

  204. So what Paul is starting to say, he's listing

  205. qualifiers for what he's about to say. The most

  206. important thing for you to understand about what

  207. he's saying is, is I've observed the condition

  208. of your heart. I see how you are. He said, I

  209. see your faith in the Lord. I see your love towards

  210. the saints. So I don't cease to give thanks for

  211. you. Remembering you in my prayers that the God

  212. of our Lord Jesus Christ. The father of glory

  213. may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation

  214. in the knowledge of him. Let me put this in context,

  215. because part of what we've been learning to do

  216. is become a better community. And he's shaping

  217. how we should interact with each other, that

  218. we often see brothers and sisters in the faith.

  219. Man, your heart ever cried out towards somebody

  220. that they are just doing the right thing, but

  221. there's not a lot of good things happening. That

  222. that it's man. I see you You're keeping the faith.

  223. I see you. You're praying. I see you. You're

  224. praising. I see you. My heart goes out towards

  225. you because I see you are as remaining faithful,

  226. although there are many unsettling things in

  227. your life. I just want to put you in the context

  228. of this. This is what Paul is speaking about

  229. them. He's saying, I know it's been long. I know

  230. it's been a lot. I know, I know I get it. I get

  231. it. You have done what's right. You've been loving

  232. on people, you've been praying, praising, so

  233. you've been doing all the things yet you have

  234. not yet to materialize or see what God is doing

  235. for you. Is that all right? Can we talk? And

  236. so he prays, this is a prayer. He said, I pray

  237. that you can begin to discern the wisdom of what

  238. God is doing. Woo, you gotta hear this. I'm gonna

  239. read it again. He says, I do not cease to give

  240. thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers

  241. that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father

  242. of glory may give you the spirit of wisdom and

  243. revelation and the knowledge of Him having the

  244. eyes of your hearts. enlightened that you may

  245. know what is the hope to which he has called

  246. you, what the riches of his glorious inheritance

  247. is in the saints." So what is Paul praying? Is

  248. he praying that God open up the windows of heaven

  249. and pour out a blessing that there ain't room

  250. to receive? Is he praying that you receive breakthrough

  251. and you get that thing you've been praying about?

  252. Is he praying that your job changes? Is he praying

  253. that your career changes? Is he praying that

  254. your family changes? He's not praying for any

  255. of those things. What he's actually praying is

  256. that you grow in wisdom to see what God is doing.

  257. He's actually praying that your eyes are enlightened,

  258. that your heart becomes aware of what God is

  259. doing. Paul doesn't take a posture of God's not

  260. doing nothing. He says, no, no, in every season,

  261. God is doing something. The problem is we can't

  262. always see what God is doing. So I pray that

  263. your eyes become open to what God is doing. I

  264. pray that your eyes become exposed, that wisdom

  265. grows, your knowledge of Him increases so that

  266. you can see what God is doing, because to say

  267. He's doing nothing would make you a liar, because

  268. God is always working together everything for

  269. your good. You can't see it, but He's doing it.

  270. You can't recognize it, but it's happening. You

  271. don't feel like it, but it's going on. So I'm

  272. not praying for breakthrough. I'm praying that

  273. your eyes can see what He's doing. God is not

  274. withholding any good or beneficial thing from

  275. you. God is moving right now. Oh, I'm getting

  276. excited. Because this is the message to us today.

  277. I know many of y 'all walked in like, God, I

  278. pray you break through tomorrow. And God's like,

  279. I pray you see what I'm doing right now. You

  280. ain't for me to break through. I've already broke

  281. through You you have to now take off the scales

  282. that are stopping you from seeing what i'm doing

  283. Right now because if you can't see me now, you're

  284. not gonna see me then Look at them say god is

  285. doing a new thing. Can you see it? He's doing

  286. it, can you see it? He's doing it, can you see

  287. it? It's never his doing, it's our seeing that

  288. has the problem. So he prays, open up their hearts.

  289. open up their eyes. Let them see God. Let them

  290. not get weary and well -doing. Let them continue

  291. to be fervent. Let them continue to be patient.

  292. Let them see what I'm doing. This is prayer.

  293. having the eyes of your hearts enlightened that

  294. you may know what is the hope to which he has

  295. called you what What are the riches of his glorious

  296. inheritance to the saint and what is? immeasurable

  297. Greatness of his power towards us who believe

  298. he's perceived. He's hoping that you can see

  299. the power that is working on your behalf He says

  300. to the same measure at which his great might

  301. that he worked in Christ when he raised him from

  302. the dead and seated him at his right hand in

  303. heavenly places, far above. Here we go, verse

  304. 21 of Getcha. He said, far above all rule and

  305. all and authority and power and dominion and

  306. above ever. name that is named not only in this

  307. age but also in the one to come not only in this

  308. age but also in the one to come that he is seated

  309. in authority all power over all things on heaven

  310. and all things on earth that it is governed by

  311. Christ himself That all things in both above

  312. and beneath all things in heaven and on earth

  313. are governed by Christ What is he challenging

  314. us to do to never take Christ out the picture?

  315. Cause all things are governed. All things are

  316. under his power, under his authority, under his

  317. rule, under his reign on both heaven and earth.

  318. What does that mean? That means if you can't

  319. see God, it doesn't mean cause he's not there.

  320. Cause all things are under his power, under his

  321. authority. And he is seated next to God. Interceding

  322. on the behalf of the believer saying the blood

  323. still covers them you can ooh I'm getting ahead

  324. of myself, but I'm getting excited cuz we almost

  325. there He says then he put all things look 22

  326. and he put all things Under his feet and gave

  327. him as head over what all things to the church

  328. Which is his body the fullness of him who feels

  329. all He's saying so he's over all Rules are fills

  330. are He's in all Can you see What God is doing

  331. Now pastor, this is bad news. Can you see? What

  332. God is doing? No, this report ain't good. Can

  333. you see? Because he is in all things governs

  334. all things over all things Nothing happens that's

  335. outside of heaven's reign. Nothing. I know this

  336. challenges us, but it challenges us to do what?

  337. Pray that God opens up. God, I don't understand

  338. why that person is in authority, but open up

  339. my eyes. Give me the wisdom to discern why you

  340. are allowing this He doesn't give us a space

  341. to say that ain't God Whoa What a minute wait

  342. a minute we love to say that ain't God he doesn't

  343. give space to a that ain't God He gives a challenge

  344. to see God, even when you don't like what you're

  345. seeing. He gives an invitation to trust him,

  346. even when you don't like what you're seeing,

  347. but he does not give you the authority to say

  348. it ain't him. He's challenging us. To go deeper

  349. in our knowledge of God He's challenging us to

  350. anytime. I can't see you. It's not a you. It's

  351. a me Y 'all just say something with me just say

  352. it to yourself God open up my eyes of understanding

  353. I Know there's some things you walked in here

  354. wondering God is this you This should be your

  355. prayer. God, I know you're in it. You cannot

  356. be in it. I know you have authority over. Open

  357. up my eyes. Grow me in the knowledge of who you

  358. are so that I can see you. But Paul covers three

  359. core principles of our finished work. Seated,

  360. sealed, and settled. That we must see Christ

  361. as seated. We must see ourselves as sealed. And

  362. we must see everything concerning our lives as

  363. settled. Because it's all under his authority.

  364. There's nothing in your life that God doesn't

  365. govern. I'm gonna let that sit for a moment,

  366. because we love to say you messed it up. His

  367. grace is sufficient. His mercy endures. You can

  368. either take that statement and cast it out or

  369. use that truth to reshape what you see. Choice

  370. is yours. You can say past Brian you crazy fine

  371. stay sad Fine stay frustrated stay mad stay unsettled

  372. But as for me I'm seated Boy the joy of the Lord

  373. is like a flowing river in my life Why because

  374. I refuse to remove God from my life. Good decisions,

  375. bad decisions, great outcomes, bad outcomes.

  376. It doesn't matter. He's seated. I'm sealed. So

  377. everything that concerns me is settled. Look

  378. at your neighbor, say, it's settled. And then

  379. look at him and say, hey, I'm talking about,

  380. look, keep talking to him. I'm talking about

  381. that thing you're worried about. It's settled.

  382. If he be seated and you be sealed, all things

  383. are settled. He's walking us through these theological

  384. principles that are a core foundation to our

  385. finished work and how we move as people of faith

  386. Seated sealed settled Truth is we don't just

  387. fill our hearts with the future. Hope we fill

  388. our eyes with the present god That's what he's

  389. trying to get us to do is You have to fill your

  390. eyes with the present God. I think one of the

  391. most powerful things that Paul says here, which

  392. really should agitate you just a little bit,

  393. it says having the eyes of your heart enlightened.

  394. See, the thing about the heart, a heart is a

  395. controversial topic in the church. Many people

  396. are under the belief that your heart is of evil

  397. and it has no hope. But Paul is actually challenging

  398. that very set of theological belief that your

  399. heart is forever ruined That what happened to

  400. you will forever be a part of how you shape what

  401. you see No, no, no. He's coming against the very

  402. thing that people have Wrongfully theologically

  403. said that it is irrelevant to your faith and

  404. he's saying no I Know you know your spirit the

  405. spirit is his I know you know your mind is being

  406. renewed, but many of y 'all still believe that

  407. your heart has been damaged and so you can't

  408. do nothing about it. It's the result of your

  409. decisions, it's the result of what people have

  410. done to you, that there are things inside of

  411. you that you are just, can't get past. It hurt

  412. me. They hurt me. It hurt me. I'm damaged. How

  413. I treat people, interact with people, interface

  414. with people is forever going to be tainted because

  415. God can't do nothing with this. I'll remind you

  416. the words of David. Lord, creating me a clean

  417. heart, renewing me a right spirit. Paul is also

  418. acknowledging. that same process at that point,

  419. and said, may their hearts be flooded and filled

  420. with you. May God continually and perpetually

  421. purge you from the pain. May he continue to heal

  422. you from what happened. A lot of our unanswered

  423. questions about what's going on are actually

  424. stored in our heart. The heart does describe

  425. that one space that many people don't wanna hear.

  426. It's not what you said, it's how you said it.

  427. That you find out that the heart rules expression.

  428. Matter of fact, Jesus says out of the abundance

  429. of the heart, the mouth speaks. That it controls

  430. and it dictates what is expressed. That truthfully

  431. you can believe a thing. But if your heart remains

  432. disconnected, it will be hard for you to even

  433. speak what you believe. I ain't talking to myself.

  434. That many of you guys truthfully allow the pain

  435. of your past to control the confession you have

  436. today. You allow your present conditions to stop

  437. the confession of faith God has given to you.

  438. You you're allowing people's perception of how

  439. they will feel about what you said and how many

  440. times you said it before and nothing happened

  441. I'm gonna wait this time till I get some evidence.

  442. What are you talking about? The just shall live

  443. by faith You holding my past failures against

  444. me is your problem not mine How you change perception

  445. of me based on my past is your problem not mine

  446. It's time that you put the problem in the right

  447. place And you thinking that you can outwork people's

  448. perception of you is crazy If they have decided

  449. that you are a failure Let let let god be true

  450. and every man be a liar. I could care less I'm

  451. gonna say it to this side. You just I could care

  452. less I believe God says, and shout it from the

  453. top of the mountain until he bring me home. I'm

  454. not gonna stop. I'm not gonna stop. I'ma keep

  455. saying it as he said it to me. I'ma keep speaking

  456. it as confidently as I see the work is finished.

  457. God is what it is. What that sound like to y

  458. 'all? Settled. I'm not gonna let my heart determine

  459. how I respond to who God is. You believe it in

  460. your mind, but it is your heart that has you

  461. half -stepping and half -speaking and shy, discouraging.

  462. And he says, I pray that God take that heart

  463. and enlightens it with the understanding of who

  464. he is. I'll never forget this. I've never shared

  465. this from the pulpit. I've shared this to people

  466. privately, when it's important. And I just felt

  467. the Spirit of the Lord say, it's okay, you can

  468. share it now. Some of the greatest battles that

  469. I faced in order to be where I'm standing right

  470. now, no one ever saw. I'm saying this not so

  471. you can think about me. I want you to think about

  472. you as I'm talking about this. And so it's hard

  473. for people to see that I belong here because

  474. they weren't there for the battles that got me

  475. here. And if I'm being honest, the battles that

  476. got me here aren't even battles you would even

  477. share or shout from the mountaintops. The actual

  478. struggles aren't things that are popular to talk

  479. about in church. The victories that I'm most

  480. proud of aren't the ones that you would write

  481. a post about. And I look back and I say, man,

  482. God, I didn't know that was what you was doing.

  483. I know. I can look back now and realize why that

  484. was what it was, but... In the midst of it...

  485. So what happened, Pastor Bryan? Um, and y 'all

  486. forgive me for the dates. It's not the dates

  487. that's important, but the timing of things. Um,

  488. I was in college. Truly truly believed that I

  489. that God had called me to be a designer and architect

  490. So I went to USF and signed up to be an architect

  491. and engineer And First semester I could just

  492. tell like something something something it I

  493. Called up my mom and I said I'll just expedite

  494. this to so I can get to the part. I said mom

  495. God just told me that The church needs some help

  496. and I'm supposed to help she could tell you I

  497. thought it was like I was supposed to go out

  498. there and come up here move some boxes and Something

  499. like that That's what I thought The truth of

  500. the matter is I never saw the destiny of my life

  501. connected to this building So I would go up and

  502. do whatever I was asked to do But I didn't really

  503. see myself as woven into the future of it. This

  504. is how far back I'm dating. I'm just coming out

  505. of college. I was like, I'm going to be an architect.

  506. At that time, I was trained to be a professional

  507. golfer. And I was on the side of, you know, I'm

  508. going to help the church by giving big offerings.

  509. Anybody ever been in that category? So that would

  510. be my thing. Once I pop off as a professional

  511. golfer, you know, My parents will never have

  512. to worry about asking people to sew again cuz

  513. I got you and I figured that's my service to

  514. the kingdom I'm just saying this as a son watching

  515. my parents and so She says yeah, I'll come up

  516. I went to her I said so what do you want me to

  517. do? She said I don't know My dad was here. So

  518. I went up to him. I said what you want me to

  519. do he says I don't know. I said, no, one of y

  520. 'all got to tell me something to do so I can

  521. leave. But God told me to come here. She can

  522. tell you, I literally was walking between his

  523. office and the parking lot. My dad just gets

  524. up to leave like I'm leaving the building. This

  525. is your thing, not my thing. So I end up back

  526. to my mom's expediting it. And I said, listen,

  527. I just need to do whatever it is that God told

  528. me to do so I can go. What I observed was that

  529. there was Help needed one of the hardest places

  530. to to get people to be a part of is as it concerns

  531. the finances in the church Simply because people

  532. just be tripping to make that supple and so I

  533. Said okay. I've always been very acute as it

  534. comes to financial things and so Said alright,

  535. I'll tell you what. Um, it had grew to the point

  536. to where she was like This is where we need help

  537. at I had switched my major to accounting in business

  538. So that I could specialize Once I realized you

  539. need a degree to do what this is so I can specialize

  540. so I can do my assignment and keep it moving

  541. What I didn't know Is at that same point in time

  542. now I'm going pretty fast here is um, you know,

  543. I would find a young lady named Rashida Fall

  544. in love with her Now we talking about marriage.

  545. Well marriage and my part -time career don't

  546. go together. I need a job now So now the place

  547. I came to volunteer not I was I was working for

  548. free He bothered me I got other plans It was

  549. actually became a joke at one point because I

  550. had got seven people jobs and I still ain't had

  551. one that's what people would say What they didn't

  552. know is that I'm gonna just talk a little trash

  553. that I have provision, you know Not of you know,

  554. I'm saying my heavenly father takes care of Brian

  555. I've already out that was fine But now I need

  556. a job because I'm talking about getting married

  557. we need things I Stay upstairs at my parents

  558. crib Seated sealed instead of upstairs Bother

  559. me. Yeah, you can ask mama. It did not bother

  560. me People will come how long you gonna live upstairs

  561. at your parents house. I said listen when I leave

  562. here I guarantee you it will be in my own house

  563. That's what I told him through some look back

  564. at them. You throw shade at me I got some shape

  565. for you to Christians know how to poke bears,

  566. too Y 'all don't lie. We got petty in our system.

  567. It was a little petty, but it was what it was

  568. You know I'm saying so I'm upstairs when I leave

  569. here will be with my wife in our new house I

  570. had no job. I had some aspirations, strong ones.

  571. So let me fast -forward. So, you know, it was

  572. determined that my work unto the Lord was worthy

  573. of being hired, but at an entry -level position.

  574. So I got hired at an entry -level position with

  575. entry -level dollars. If you don't know my father,

  576. maybe it would confuse you. But no, he don't

  577. care about none of that stuff. Listen. So here

  578. I am. God has called me to do, to the job. He's

  579. called me to do. And I do feel... Can we just

  580. talk? I do feel pressure. I'm thinking about,

  581. I just proposed to this girl. We need a house.

  582. We need cars. I'm feeling real financial pressures,

  583. because I'm still upstairs in my parents' crib.

  584. We got to get up out of here I'm trying to find

  585. anything that fit my budget as far as housing

  586. But you got to eat once you get in there And

  587. in my mind I told myself Brian just work as hard

  588. as you can They'll see it. And when they see

  589. it, you'll get increase. So give it all you got,

  590. because you got to get married. And you can't

  591. stay here, although you know that here is where

  592. you belong. I worked, I worked, I worked. Guess

  593. what, y 'all? No increase. Matter of fact...

  594. I got a change in assignment. Don't want to hear

  595. what it was. I was assistant to doing payroll

  596. for the church. See, I thought everybody was

  597. getting paid when I was getting paid. I'll never

  598. forget the day That book rolled open And I saw

  599. what my co -laborers was getting paid And what

  600. I was getting paid what they was doing and what

  601. I was doing what I needed that they had And I

  602. said god, why did you put me here The first thing

  603. that hit me was envy, jealousy, strife. When

  604. I tell you I got hit with every spirit, I was,

  605. God get me out. You know my need. Why would you

  606. put me here? I'm trying to keep my heart pure

  607. and every week I'm reminded. not appreciated

  608. them thoughts start coming I never had that thought

  609. a day in my life I said I'm unappreciated they

  610. don't see my value they don't recognize me all

  611. these things every week are flooding my heart

  612. I'm getting mad at people they don't even know

  613. why I stopped doing things because I was like

  614. You gonna do this one you doing this one today

  615. you will work today I Was in the fight of my

  616. life To remain Pure While having to deal with

  617. emotions that I knew were there to shipwreck

  618. me. I said, God, I don't know what you were doing

  619. and why you have me here, seeing this. And I

  620. just kept remembering, God, I don't want to become

  621. what I'm thinking. Don't want to become realistic,

  622. but I was failing I was Times ticking down People

  623. complain and I'm thinking you complain you don't

  624. even know what struggle is But I'm surrounded

  625. I want y 'all get the reality I'm surrounded

  626. by so much wealth. But I'm seated in the midst

  627. of it with so much struggle. And God told me

  628. to do this, and this is my suggestion to some

  629. of y 'all. I said, Brian, I need you to sit down.

  630. Because obviously the first attack first attack

  631. was with my parents And I knew he was trying

  632. to get me Just to change my heart towards them

  633. My parents have been incredible Unbelievable

  634. So I need you to sit down He says, you know how

  635. much you make? I say, yeah. He says, now I need

  636. you to add up. If you had to pay for all the

  637. things I've blessed you with this year, how much

  638. would it add up to? I sat down and started to

  639. write it every Every dinner, my parents paid.

  640. I said, man, I'm living in their house. If I

  641. had to pay rent, how much would that be? I started

  642. to write it all out. All the trips. What my parents

  643. had blessed me with was more than I was making.

  644. I'm not done yet. He says, Brian, this is what

  645. I want you to receive for the rest of your life.

  646. If you receive this, you'll be able to serve

  647. me in purity for the rest of your life. I didn't

  648. see this assignment. but I never want you to

  649. ever think that how blessed you are is governed

  650. by the amount of money you make. He said them

  651. two things can never be connected. He said you

  652. are blessed. You are blessed. You know what you

  653. make, but you are blessed. Think about how you

  654. were living. Think about what I have done. He

  655. said that he went in on Friday and said, Brian,

  656. had I had given you the same money that they've

  657. blessed you with, would you have done the things

  658. you enjoyed with the money? I said, no. If you

  659. had given me the money instead of it coming through

  660. them, I would have saved it. He says, not only.

  661. Am I taking care of you? But I'm making sure

  662. you enjoy life Because if I had given you the

  663. money you wouldn't have even used it to enjoy

  664. life. He said I'm protecting your enjoyment in

  665. life He said but you got one other problem you

  666. got to settle You can never disqualify a blessing

  667. because of the hands it came through Because

  668. they were my parents I had disqualified it as

  669. a blessing. Oh I'm talking now. I have figured

  670. it's their responsibility. No, it's not No, it's

  671. not It's not their responsibility. It wasn't

  672. their responsibility. So I had a whole category

  673. of blessings from God that I had disqualified

  674. as part of what he was doing so I couldn't see.

  675. What he was doing not because he wasn't doing

  676. it But because my heart was fixed on seeing things

  677. how I want them to be I wanted the money to go

  678. through my account. I wanted to make the choice

  679. I wanted to control this I wanted to control

  680. that meanwhile God's like boy I'm trying to bring

  681. you to a life where you are freely living according

  682. to what I dictate I want you to understand the

  683. numbers will never determine how blessed you

  684. are. I am with you. I'm with You will always

  685. live above what that paycheck says I Came out

  686. of there not a dollar had changed But my whole

  687. life changed when I allow God to sit me down

  688. So I could see what he was doing an incredible

  689. tool but a horrible master he will never let

  690. you be the master but that don't dictate the

  691. life you gonna live and the life you are living

  692. look at you never say I am blessed if you struggling

  693. with that the prayer is God open up my eyes So

  694. that I can see how blessed I am because the it

  695. ain't with you That's me and a lot of y 'all

  696. have disqualified things cast things out consider

  697. it no longer good Some things God's been so consistently

  698. good you don't even call it good no more That's

  699. a you problem not a he problem I don't count

  700. that no more. It's been too consistent. That's

  701. a crazy thing to say. That's a crazy thing to

  702. say. When's the last time you was hungry and

  703. couldn't buy food? Exactly. You the problem.

  704. Because there's people... If you can't if you

  705. are willing to become callous because of consistency

  706. That's a principal problem more ain't gonna solve

  707. that Matter of fact more will cause you to form

  708. pride right there Some of y 'all trying to figure

  709. out why the money always funny it ain't funny

  710. it's always control just not by you Why can't

  711. I ever just get to this because if you got to

  712. that you would leave him Take no thought for

  713. what you need for your heavenly father knows

  714. You have to see God as walking with you to live

  715. by that We know that, but we struggle to live

  716. that. Can I get a cap? Y 'all better testify.

  717. We know that we are not supposed to live and

  718. plan and store, yet we store, we keep, we protect.

  719. And he says sufficient for today is the supply.

  720. I tell you all the time, you don't have a money

  721. problem. You just thinks it's you. Think it's

  722. gonna last longer than what God has planned You

  723. have a timing problem The only reason you're

  724. not blessed because you think a five -year supply

  725. is supposed to go ten years You can't see what

  726. God's about to do in four years So you you don't

  727. know there's a real So you living like it's the

  728. last so you stressed out though. You're blessed

  729. That ain't God promise you problem that's what

  730. you can see because you can't see the next thing

  731. he's doing you only can you're only monetizing

  732. and looking at the last thing he's did as if

  733. it's the last thing he's gonna do that's a perception

  734. problem that's an eye problem not a God problem

  735. It's amazing. I just want to say this so that

  736. y 'all can hear what I'm saying. Y 'all saying

  737. this off the chain, and I cry every time I think

  738. about it. That was one of the most painful moments

  739. of my life. Satan was trying to get me to hate

  740. my parents. Y 'all didn't see that victory. Couldn't

  741. post about that one That wasn't popular to talk

  742. about It was the fight of my life and no one

  743. even gives you an applause for it That's what

  744. I want y 'all to connect with Because many of

  745. you guys are in a fight for your life ain't nobody

  746. gonna give you no applause, but God sees you

  747. They look at me and say, I don't know how he

  748. got up there. I think about all the nights I

  749. cried to keep my heart pure so that God could

  750. use me in this moment. Battles fall in one that

  751. no one even cares about. Acronym, something is

  752. always shifting. God is always erasing, and my

  753. situation is always evolving. C, I'm looking,

  754. but I must remember, something is always, not

  755. shifting, sifting. That God is always separating

  756. the wheat from the tares. That's why some people

  757. you thought was gonna be there. Because he's

  758. always sifting. He's always sifting. He's always

  759. taking what is and making sure what don't belong

  760. don't stick around. It's always sifting. So I

  761. don't care if they tripped out and left because

  762. God is always sifting. Always sifting. Life feels

  763. unsettled. It's not unsettled. It's all God's

  764. always sifting. That's I call it unsettled. He

  765. calls it sifting That's my perception It's always

  766. sifted always He's always a racing what you mean

  767. a racing for giving you for what you've done

  768. So I can't look at what I see and think I'm being

  769. punished Because God's always a race I Know you

  770. did it but his grace is sufficient So I can't

  771. take the lens of condemnation and say this is

  772. my punishment He's always a racing and things

  773. are always evolving evolution we're like from

  774. caterpillars to butterflies the transformation

  775. is unmistakably real but still hard to fathom

  776. how can you can go from a life of crawling to

  777. a life of flying I never knew it could fly It's

  778. nothing like when God hits you with those, I

  779. never knew it could be like this. These things

  780. are always evolving. You are always evolving.

  781. I never saw myself as this. But you are always

  782. evolving. So when I... that what I'm seeing is

  783. always sifting, God's always erasing, and I'm

  784. always evolving. Father God, I thank you for

  785. today and thank you for the opportunity to come

  786. and to present your word. I pray that your word

  787. went forth and just healed our hearts and renewed

  788. our minds and stirred us up in our spirit. Father

  789. God, I pray that as we go out with this truth

  790. that... We don't keep it to ourselves that we

  791. impact the community around us with this truth.

  792. Let's bring a new question to those atmospheres

  793. of doubt. Can you see what God is doing? But

  794. if anybody's hearing you're not saved, you haven't

  795. given your life to Jesus Christ, I'd like to

  796. take this moment to open up. I guess it's always

  797. open. I'd like to take this moment for us to

  798. have the pleasure of welcoming you into the kingdom

  799. of God. So if that's you and you want to be saved,

  800. I want you to do something. I want you to use

  801. the first one on the left if you're here. Type

  802. it in the chat if you're listening. It takes

  803. a confession of the mouth and a belief in the

  804. heart. nor forsake us. We understand that God

  805. is always one of us to sow a seed, because as

  806. long as the earth remains, there shall be seed,

  807. time, and harvest. But we sow cheerfully because

  808. we're not doing it out of necessity. We're not

  809. doing it because we've been convinced or forced

  810. to do it. We're doing it because we've heard

  811. from God, and God has instructed us to do so.

  812. So you can be cheerful. about anything God has

  813. placed in your heart to do. But that's why we

  814. declare that we are, what church? Cheerful givers.

  815. Amen? Well, as you guys, so I'm gonna have them

  816. play a video. This is incredible, but I'll let

  817. them play it and then I'll talk afterwards. at

  818. the Young Hearts Big Dreams Summer Camp. Let's

  819. go. Art is what? It's a way of what? Expressing

  820. yourself. Art was a form of escape for me. It

  821. was a way of me getting outside of the world.
