  1. [SPEAKER_00]: Amen.

  2. [SPEAKER_00]: Hallelujah.

  3. [SPEAKER_00]: Every day there seems to be another reason to distrust preachers.

  4. [SPEAKER_00]: What you may not realize is there's an ancient spirit that's actively working to keep you from receiving the truth of God's Word.

  5. [SPEAKER_00]: And today I'm going to teach you about that very spirit called the Spirit of Doic.

  6. [SPEAKER_00]: Today we're going to talk about the Spirit of Doic.

  7. [SPEAKER_00]: So I want to invite you to join me in your Bible in 1 Samuel chapter 22.

    1 Samuel 22 chapter mention

  8. [SPEAKER_00]: Before I get to that, I just want to mention a couple of things to you.

  9. [SPEAKER_00]: Several years ago, I received what I really believe is a word from the Lord, and I would say it's

  10. [SPEAKER_00]: It's prophetic.

  11. [SPEAKER_00]: I try to be careful and not oversell it, but I genuinely went into a very out of the normal spiritual place.

  12. [SPEAKER_00]: And I was just receiving revelation from heaven around an upcoming move from God that would happen over the next two to three years.

  13. [SPEAKER_00]: In fact, I just found a video that I had posted about it.

  14. [SPEAKER_00]: And so it had checked me on some of those times.

  15. [SPEAKER_00]: And,

  16. [SPEAKER_00]: When I left Florida, so I got the word from the Lord, I started traveling and preaching again.

  17. [SPEAKER_00]: I had not been doing that for a while.

  18. [SPEAKER_00]: I was going to start traveling again in 2020.

  19. [SPEAKER_00]: Not prophetic, okay man.

  20. [SPEAKER_00]: And so, so I was going to start traveling again in 2020 and I did not not, when I got this work from the Lord about a soon coming revival, I thought, let me get on the road and start getting, and really the purpose was for me to get in all tours and make sure that my peers had some exposure to what it looked like to do alter ministry.

  21. [SPEAKER_00]: I am one of the few people in my peer group.

  22. [SPEAKER_00]: who were active in ministry when the last great move of God kind of fizzled out.

  23. [SPEAKER_00]: And back the late 90s, early 2000s, most of my friends were either children's ministry, youth ministry, or they were in college.

  24. [SPEAKER_00]: And so I kind of had a front row seat as a music minister to that revival era.

  25. [SPEAKER_00]: And it just helped me to know how to manage some of those things.

  26. [SPEAKER_00]: I want to make sure that I was going out and if nothing else demonstrating for preachers, how to manage a move of God in a service.

  27. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, when I got here, and I'm going to say something, I need y'all to hang with me, OK?

  28. [SPEAKER_00]: Just sign a verbal contract real quick and say yes.

  29. [SPEAKER_00]: OK, hang with me for a moment.

  30. [SPEAKER_00]: When I got here, it was very easy for me to ascertain in the spirit that this church was not ready for a move of God.

  31. [SPEAKER_00]: When I showed up back in August,

  32. [SPEAKER_00]: which if you're here for the first time, I have been here less than a year, but when I got here in August, I went, we can't hold it, we can't manage it, we can't handle it.

  33. [SPEAKER_00]: Not so much an infrastructure, but I knew that there were some things active in our body here that it was gonna be a problem.

  34. [SPEAKER_00]: If a move of God broke out, I knew that we would mismanage it as a body.

  35. [SPEAKER_00]: And so honestly, I've kind of had it in my spirit that if something comes, it's coming and that would be great.

  36. [SPEAKER_00]: You don't go and enjoy those meetings and then come back here and it ain't going to be, but it ain't going to be happening here.

  37. [SPEAKER_00]: In the last two or three weeks, at say two weeks, since I've preached that series on we are hopeful about tomorrow.

  38. [SPEAKER_00]: How many of you know we're hopeful about tomorrow?

  39. [SPEAKER_00]: while I would still be frightened to have to sing and preach three hour services all by myself.

  40. [SPEAKER_00]: I am more comfortable right now with the idea that our church could potentially host a move of God.

  41. [SPEAKER_00]: And I want y'all to hear this.

  42. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not trying to be insulting or anything by saying when I got here that I didn't believe we could handle one.

  43. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm trying to be forthright and honest with you.

  44. [SPEAKER_00]: That's not all anybody that's not directed to anybody.

  45. [SPEAKER_00]: That's just there was something.

  46. [SPEAKER_00]: So, when you all saw me come in and start taking a hatchet at things, there was a reason for it.

  47. [SPEAKER_00]: We needed to tune up some things.

  48. [SPEAKER_00]: Because there is no move of God in acting up.

  49. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no move of God in play and along.

  50. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no move of God in pretending one thing is something, and it's not what it really is.

  51. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no move of God in that.

  52. [SPEAKER_00]: But right now, I think y'all would all agree that if I started walking through this church and people started hitting the ground, that you wouldn't be going, this is a regular Sunday.

  53. [SPEAKER_00]: You'd be going, okay, this probably, this is out of his norm.

  54. [SPEAKER_00]: Amen.

  55. [SPEAKER_00]: Amen.

  56. [SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know about you.

  57. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know when we thought revival should have been the norm.

  58. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm just in a little prophetic flow here for a moment.

  59. [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody that tried to normalize revival off of the 90s is basically coming out and they're being completely exposed now for how fraudulent everything is that they've done.

  60. [SPEAKER_00]: For 20 years, they've been propping up a court since it's been a week in it, Bernie's in a handful of churches, all across nobody on week in it, Bernie's in it, nobody going to give me that.

  61. [SPEAKER_00]: That matter how serious it is, you've got to laugh at the jokes.

  62. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I take it personally, I'm personally offended if you don't laugh.

  63. [SPEAKER_00]: And so we've been propping up a corpse, and it's, but God is not the God of the dead.

  64. [SPEAKER_00]: He's the God of the living.

  65. [SPEAKER_00]: Amen.

  66. [SPEAKER_00]: Amen.

  67. [SPEAKER_00]: And so I really believe that we're kind of getting there now.

  68. [SPEAKER_00]: I want to prepare you.

  69. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think May 24th is going to be the day.

  70. [SPEAKER_00]: So if y'all are trying to, you know, put your eyes on your brown stills father's day, May 24th probably ain't it.

  71. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I think it'd be cool if it is gonna run y'all summer, but it'd be great if it was, amen.

  72. [SPEAKER_00]: I said, Lord, send the move of God.

  73. [SPEAKER_00]: Let me get that vacation in, if you don't mind, and we've got a cruise planned in Jesus' name.

  74. [SPEAKER_00]: So, the next week would be fine, but I really believe in August, we could be stepping into something as a church that could be entirely different.

  75. [SPEAKER_00]: Not just for this church, but entirely different for what we've been seeing over the last several years in the church at large.

  76. [SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know that we'll lead that movement, but I had this prophetic word come several years ago.

  77. [SPEAKER_00]: People are starting to talk about it.

  78. [SPEAKER_00]: Some major prophetic voices are starting to say something's fixing to happen.

  79. [SPEAKER_00]: And so I'm encouraged.

  80. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, look at your neighbor and say it's good.

  81. [SPEAKER_00]: He's encouraged.

  82. [SPEAKER_00]: He's encouraged.

  83. [SPEAKER_00]: That being said, this is not intentional, this is not a plan.

  84. [SPEAKER_00]: Just my schedule is keeping me from getting into the eighth value.

  85. [SPEAKER_00]: Our last value that we're going to talk about is we are honoring of all people.

  86. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to get into that this summer.

  87. [SPEAKER_00]: We just have some things on the calendar, and I want to make sure that I have a good window to preach that.

  88. [SPEAKER_00]: And so this was not by design.

  89. [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know what I was going to preach.

  90. [SPEAKER_00]: I came into the office one day, 90 seconds later, I knew it the next three weeks was going to look like.

  91. [SPEAKER_00]: Come on, somebody.

  92. [SPEAKER_00]: And so the next three weeks, I'm going to be kind of centered around the annoying thing.

  93. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm gonna preach some things you probably never heard.

  94. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna preach some things that some of them might even be better for closed door roundtable with ministers.

  95. [SPEAKER_00]: But I'm gonna let you in on some of the back room conversation.

  96. [SPEAKER_00]: Today I specifically do want to preach something that I think is gonna be helpful to you, called the Spirit of DOEG, the Spirit of DOEG.

  97. [SPEAKER_00]: There is a chance I get a little heavy this morning.

  98. [SPEAKER_00]: If I do that, just smile at me and maybe I'll loosen up.

  99. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, you know, do your best.

  100. [SPEAKER_00]: You participate in your own rescue, amen.

  101. [SPEAKER_00]: All right, here we go.

  102. [SPEAKER_00]: Go to first Samuel chapter 22, first Samuel chapter 22.

1 Samuel 22 chapter mention 1 Samuel 22 chapter mention

  103. [SPEAKER_00]: It says, and the king said to the guard who stood about him, turn and kill the priest of the Lord because their hand also is with David.

  104. [SPEAKER_00]: And they knew that he fled and did not disclose it to me.

  105. [SPEAKER_00]: But the servants of the king would not put out their hand to strike the priest of the Lord.

  106. [SPEAKER_00]: Verse 18, then the king said to Doeig, remember we're talking about the spirit of Doeig, then the king said to Doeig, you turn and strike the priest.

  107. [SPEAKER_00]: And Do Egg, the Edom, I turned and struck down the priest, and he killed on that day, 85 persons who wore the linen effod, and knobbed the city of the priest.

  108. [SPEAKER_00]: He put to the sword, both man, woman, child, infant, ox, donkey, sheep, he put to the sword.

  109. [SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about the spirit of Do Egg today.

  110. [SPEAKER_00]: came from, the Lord gave me the insight from the scripture, but I had been tuned up to receive something of this nature.

  111. [SPEAKER_00]: When I went out and started traveling again, my ministry prior to that had pretty much been on YouTube for about six or seven years at that point.

  112. [SPEAKER_00]: I had really gotten on the internet.

  113. [SPEAKER_00]: God gave me some great fruit.

  114. [SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't huge, I wasn't famous, but I do occasionally get recognized in the airport.

  115. [SPEAKER_00]: I have gotten recognized in front of my family one time and it wasn't nearly as good as when I get recognized by myself.

  116. [SPEAKER_00]: But you never know.

  117. [SPEAKER_00]: So I've most of my ministry was online and to people on the internet.

  118. [SPEAKER_00]: And because of that, if you are in the Christian YouTube,

  119. [SPEAKER_00]: And you watch guys who specifically have a YouTube type of ministry.

  120. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm probably tight with them guys.

  121. [SPEAKER_00]: I probably know them, at least have their phone numbers in my phone.

  122. [SPEAKER_00]: We all kind of were doing this at the same time and coming up.

  123. [SPEAKER_00]: And I just did not like the price that it was going to cost me to be famous on the Internet.

  124. [SPEAKER_00]: And so I pulled back, I'm not saying it's immoral, but I was gonna have to talk about ink jail pins every day to get views on the internet.

  125. [SPEAKER_00]: I know it sounds crazy, but it's a real story folks.

  126. [SPEAKER_00]: Laura and Todd were with us the other night at Outback and in a girl came walking by and I said, hey, I like your pins and she pulled it out.

  127. [SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was a brown.

  128. [SPEAKER_00]: She pulled it out.

  129. [SPEAKER_00]: It was a purple pin.

  130. [SPEAKER_00]: I said, do you know that is the best color purple ink?

  131. [SPEAKER_00]: And had a whole conversation with this girl about her pins.

  132. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, tear up your Bible dot com.

  133. [UNKNOWN]: Hey man.

  134. [SPEAKER_00]: So when I started traveling, I was going into these churches and basically the conversation I was having with pastors is they were pulling me aside whether it be a dinner or after a church service or whatever that might be and they would say can you talk to some of your YouTube buddies and I said about what and they said could you just ask them to stop just stop what they're doing and I said

  135. [SPEAKER_00]: what's going on and they would tell me that they would be preaching things in their church shepherding their people, taking their people through something and it was always always a short thing that someone was going to show up and someone was going to usually be three to five people who were going to show up and they were going to let that preacher know that they were wrong because you two guys said this.

  136. [SPEAKER_00]: And what I started to see is that our ability to access information the way we do today started to actually cause a rift between people and the priestward in their church.

  137. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's not always YouTube.

  138. [SPEAKER_00]: This is what I noticed because it's my world and it's what I heard about it.

  139. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not always YouTube sometimes it's the news, sometimes it's certain personalities, sometimes it's just homespun theology, sometimes it's other preachers, sometimes it's just the comment section.

  140. [SPEAKER_00]: There's a church in Birmingham, Alabama, it's a large Baptist church that the pastor just suddenly announced his resignation.

  141. [SPEAKER_00]: He's preaching this Sunday, so it makes me feel pretty good.

  142. [SPEAKER_00]: Normally, I just wanna let you know, normally if it's real bad, he ain't coming back.

  143. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, that's normally the way that goes, but he's preaching the Sunday, but you should have seen the comment sections of every assumption that they threw at this guy.

  144. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, what that is is a spirit that is actively assaulting the annoying thing.

  145. [SPEAKER_00]: Doeg had no problem in pulling out a sword and taking down 86 people who worked as priests.

  146. [SPEAKER_00]: He took out their families, their children, and everything they own.

  147. [SPEAKER_00]: He annihilated a city.

  148. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a spirit that targets not just the annoying thing, but also your ability to trust in the annoying thing.

  149. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a spirit.

  150. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, the one that it attacks the most, the thing that the spirit of dough egg goes after the most is,

  151. [SPEAKER_00]: the anointing around preaching.

  152. [SPEAKER_00]: The reason for that is when you read the anointing of Jesus Christ in Isaiah 61, this is what Jesus stood up and read in the synagogue.

  153. [SPEAKER_00]: When you read that, the first thing that it says is it says, the spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me

  154. [SPEAKER_00]: to bring good news to the poor.

  155. [SPEAKER_00]: If you read the KJV or the NKJV, it says to preach the good news to the poor.

  156. [SPEAKER_00]: The first anointing on Jesus' life was to preach.

  157. [SPEAKER_00]: The first anointing, his purpose he even said, I've come for this purpose to preach the kingdom of God.

  158. [SPEAKER_00]: So the first anointing that the dough expert attacks is the preaching anointing.

  159. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, before you think that this message

  160. [SPEAKER_00]: Do whatever your preacher tells you to do, because I know we've all heard somebody get up and preach that message before.

  161. [SPEAKER_00]: That's not what this is.

  162. [SPEAKER_00]: This is not a me putting down my authority's stake in the ground.

  163. [SPEAKER_00]: I think by the time we're done, you'll see I got no interest in that.

  164. [SPEAKER_00]: Next week, just to keep everybody honest, I'm gonna talk to you about what to do when a preacher falls.

  165. [SPEAKER_00]: Next week, I'm preaching a message called help.

  166. [SPEAKER_00]: The preachers are falling.

  167. [SPEAKER_00]: And the subtext is, and they can't get up.

  168. [SPEAKER_00]: Amen.

  169. [SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to talk about that next week.

  170. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to talk about fallen preachers and fallen ministers.

  171. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to tell you how that can.

  172. [SPEAKER_00]: You can be protected from that.

  173. [SPEAKER_00]: But the spirit of DOEG attacks the preaching ministry and the reason for that is is that preaching, if you remember our series on getting a word from God, if you've read the book here to hear the first level of hearing from the Lord, is the preached word of God.

  174. [SPEAKER_00]: I wish you all were Bible scholars, but I know probably about 95% of you, I'm your Bible reading plan.

  175. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'll tell you, as a pastor, I'm just getting comfortable with that.

  176. [SPEAKER_00]: So if the Spirit of Doe add can get in and create disses between you and me, it basically cuts off the whole thing.

  177. [SPEAKER_00]: It cuts off your ability to hear from the Lord completely.

  178. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, anybody can hear from the Lord?

  179. [SPEAKER_00]: What's your hear from him, honey?

  180. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I'm for that.

  181. [SPEAKER_00]: How many days have you read the Bible?

  182. [SPEAKER_00]: Which prayer life looked like?

  183. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I find a giving record only if I run back there right now.

  184. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I want to know the real stuff.

  185. [SPEAKER_00]: What we can talk about that, what God can talk to anybody.

  186. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

  187. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, he does kind of have a protocol he goes through.

  188. [SPEAKER_00]: Amen.

  189. [SPEAKER_00]: The Bible says in Hebrews chapter one that many times, long ago, and many times, and many ways he spoke through his prophets to our vows, but in these last days he's spoken to us by his son.

  190. [SPEAKER_00]: There's a protocol on how the Lord speaks to people.

  191. [SPEAKER_00]: You can engage that protocol at higher levels, but if you don't, and preaching is your lifeline, the spirit of dough egg will get in and attack that thing so you can no longer receive from the Lord.

  192. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'll be honest with you, sometimes it's not even about the preaching being good.

  193. [SPEAKER_00]: It's about you just given him 30 minutes or so.

  194. [SPEAKER_00]: People always trying to preach better and I want to preach better too, just so I can show all, fame man.

  195. [SPEAKER_00]: But I'd like to preach better too, but I'm going to be honest with you.

  196. [SPEAKER_00]: I think if you'll just sit in here, the Holy Ghost will take whatever I say and kind of just turn it into whatever you need to.

  197. [SPEAKER_00]: I've had people walk out and tell me, man, it bless me when you said that.

  198. [SPEAKER_00]: And I thought, man, I'd say that in frankly, I don't know that I agree with it.

  199. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, so the Holy Ghost will do with the Holy Ghost is going to do in these services.

  200. [SPEAKER_00]: But preaching is the first level of hearing from God.

  201. [SPEAKER_00]: Let me hit you with a couple of scriptures here.

  202. [SPEAKER_00]: Hebrews chapter three verse 15 says, as it is said today, if you hear his voice, today.

  203. [SPEAKER_00]: if you hear his voice.

  204. [SPEAKER_00]: How do you hear his voice today?

  205. [SPEAKER_00]: If you haven't read the Bible, if you haven't spent time in prayer, if you haven't grown spiritually, how do you hear his voice today?

  206. [SPEAKER_00]: You hear it through preaching, do not harden your hearts.

  207. [SPEAKER_00]: As in the rebellion, Romans chapter 10 verse 14 says, how will they call on him and whom they have not believed, and how are they to believe in him, of whom they have never heard, and how are they to hear without someone preaching?

    Romans 10:14

  208. [SPEAKER_00]: Faith actually begins with a preacher.

  209. [SPEAKER_00]: It begins with a preacher.

  210. [SPEAKER_00]: It begins with a preacher.

  211. [SPEAKER_00]: Ephesians chapter four says, until we attain to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God to mature manhood to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

  212. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what it's talking about right there?

  213. [SPEAKER_00]: It's talking about the ministry of the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers.

  214. [SPEAKER_00]: Preaching can get you to the full measure of the stature of Christ.

  215. [SPEAKER_00]: Preaching is powerful.

  216. [SPEAKER_00]: Somebody say, preaching is powerful.

  217. [SPEAKER_00]: preaching is powerful.

  218. [SPEAKER_00]: For most people, their ability to receive from preaching, if it is compromised, they lose the whole ballgame of faith.

  219. [SPEAKER_00]: For most people, if their ability to receive from preaching is compromised, that's the whole ballgame of their faith.

  220. [SPEAKER_00]: And so the enemy strategically places influence in the life of believers to keep people from receiving the full effect of God's Word.

  221. [SPEAKER_00]: In fact, I'll even bring you in on this, Satan's most powerful tool is influence.

  222. [SPEAKER_00]: His most powerful tool is influence.

  223. [SPEAKER_00]: Ephesians chapter 2 verse 2 says this, in which you once walked following the course of the world following the Prince of the power of the Aero, the spirit that is now in work in the at work in the sons of disobedience, the Prince of the power of the Aero.

    Ephesians 2:2

  224. [SPEAKER_00]: The enemy uses influence through atmosphere and influence through exposure.

  225. [SPEAKER_00]: And what he'll do is he'll try to get creative distrust between you and the Word of God.

  226. [SPEAKER_00]: Have you ever wondered why it seems like every movie star has an agenda against the Lord?

  227. [SPEAKER_00]: And the only thing I worry about that, or worry more about van that, is when one of them get saved and we profit him up like he's the Messiah.

  228. [SPEAKER_00]: Just so you know, I am not the good preacher to fact check on what Jelly Roll said last night.

  229. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm glad he saved, but he's about three seminary degrees away from me trust in anything he says.

  230. [SPEAKER_00]: Amen, okay?

  231. [SPEAKER_00]: And so, you know, we're all real happy about Kanye there for about 15 minutes.

  232. [SPEAKER_00]: Then he lost his ever-live in mind.

  233. [SPEAKER_00]: Amen, Lord Touch Kanye and Jelly Roll today in Jesus name.

  234. [SPEAKER_00]: If I'm a mess with you, I'll pray for you too.

  235. [SPEAKER_00]: Back in the day, they actually believe people who had started Christian television networks that they believe that Satan's influence was so identified in this scripture that being the prince of the power of the ares was talking about the satellites that were going up.

  236. [SPEAKER_00]: That's why channels like TVN were trying to buy up satellites back in the day because they wanted to reclaim the influence that the enemy had.

  237. [SPEAKER_00]: There were some big deal one time about TVN.

  238. [SPEAKER_00]: I think they bought a satellite from the Playboy channel.

  239. [SPEAKER_00]: And they said, we're going to put the gospel on a satellite that was carryin' that nonsense, amen.

  240. [SPEAKER_00]: So who is Do Egg?

  241. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, a couple of things you need to know, Do Egg.

  242. [SPEAKER_00]: He's an Edamite.

  243. [SPEAKER_00]: That's important to know because Edamites and people of Edam, there were descendants of Esau.

  244. [SPEAKER_00]: They were sometic and could easily be confused for a Jewish person.

  245. [SPEAKER_00]: They could be confused if you were to look at them, talk to them, listen to their language.

  246. [SPEAKER_00]: Four people of Israel, but they were not.

  247. [SPEAKER_00]: Like the people of God, but they were not of the people of God.

  248. [SPEAKER_00]: They fit in real well with the people of God, but they were not of the people of God.

  249. [SPEAKER_00]: And so he's an edamite who's captured in one of King Saul's military campaigns.

  250. [SPEAKER_00]: He spends a lot of times around priest and officials.

  251. [SPEAKER_00]: He's also a brilliant scholar and he's a counselor to King Saul.

  252. [SPEAKER_00]: And so Do Egg and the spirit of Do Egg, what it does is it actively assaults the anointing.

  253. [SPEAKER_00]: That would be the other title for the message I would give it, an active assault on the annoying thing.

  254. [SPEAKER_00]: And now I want to talk to you about how it operates and some of the things that it does.

  255. [SPEAKER_00]: So you'll know to look out for it.

  256. [SPEAKER_00]: If you're ready, say I'm ready.

  257. [SPEAKER_00]: Hallelujah.

  258. [SPEAKER_00]: The first thing it does is it attempts to outsmart the word.

  259. [SPEAKER_00]: It outsmarts the word.

  260. [SPEAKER_00]: There's a story in first king.

  261. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry, first Samuel chapter 15.

    1 Samuel 15 chapter mention

  262. [SPEAKER_00]: where the prophet Samuel gives King Saul an instruction to go and I'm not going to give you all the background here and sometimes not given the background makes the Bible sound totally crazy but trust me there's reasons for all this stuff that we can get into but we're not going to do it this morning but but the prophet Samuel gives King Saul an instruction to go and destroy all of the amalachites to destroy all of the amalachites and everything that belongs to him.

  263. [SPEAKER_00]: destroy the herds, destroy their sheath, their cows, all of it, get rid of everything.

  264. [SPEAKER_00]: And so Saul goes, instead of getting rid of all of the people and all of the herds and all of their livestock, he keeps the king alive, king egg, he keeps him alive, and then he keeps the best of the herd alive for a sacrifice.

  265. [SPEAKER_00]: for a sacrifice.

  266. [SPEAKER_00]: Well Samuel comes back and basically on his way to Saul receives a word from the Lord.

  267. [SPEAKER_00]: I've taken the unointing office Saul.

  268. [SPEAKER_00]: I have removed the unointing from King Saul.

  269. [SPEAKER_00]: He is no longer under operating under the power of my spirit.

  270. [SPEAKER_00]: The funny thing is is that when Samuel gets back to Saul, Saul doesn't believe he's

  271. [SPEAKER_00]: Saul actually believes he's done everything he's supposed to do, even though he violated the explicit instruction that he was given.

  272. [SPEAKER_00]: Look at this, first Samuel, chapter 15, this is what Saul says, in Samuel came to Saul and Saul said, blessed be you to the Lord.

    1 Samuel 15 chapter mention

  273. [SPEAKER_00]: I have performed the commandment of the Lord.

  274. [SPEAKER_00]: King or a dogg was a counselor to the king.

  275. [SPEAKER_00]: He was a scholar.

  276. [SPEAKER_00]: It is believed that DOEG was the one who got into Saul's ear and told him to keep those specific parts of the herd alive because there is a commandment in Leviticus chapter 22 that says you shall not slaughter a parent and a child animal on the same day.

    Leviticus 22 chapter mention

  277. [SPEAKER_00]: And so what he did is he got into Saul's ear and he said, hey, you don't want to do that.

  278. [SPEAKER_00]: There is a better way.

  279. [SPEAKER_00]: There's a better way.

  280. [SPEAKER_00]: There's a better way.

  281. [SPEAKER_00]: First Corinthians chapter one, verse 18, just wanna read this to you real quick.

  282. [SPEAKER_00]: For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.

  283. [SPEAKER_00]: For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and the discernment of the discerning, I will thwart.

  284. [SPEAKER_00]: Where is the one who is wise?

  285. [SPEAKER_00]: Where is the scribe?

  286. [SPEAKER_00]: Where is the divater of this age?

  287. [SPEAKER_00]: Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

  288. [SPEAKER_00]: For since in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God, through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe,

  289. [SPEAKER_00]: For Jews to man signs, Greek, Sikh, wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to the Jews, and follow to the Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ, the power of God and the wisdom of God.

  290. [SPEAKER_00]: For the foolishness of God is why is it than man and the weakness of God is stronger than men?

  291. [SPEAKER_00]: What the spirit of Doe Egg will do is it will get in there and it will start getting

  292. [SPEAKER_00]: the word of the Lord, but not just question it to learn it, trying to get you to outsmart it.

  293. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, this is how God says, let me give you a real good example of what happens in this age.

  294. [SPEAKER_00]: So you hear people say, hey, you don't need to live together before you get married.

  295. [SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, was that too close to homemade, man.

  296. [SPEAKER_00]: But this is Godly wisdom.

  297. [SPEAKER_00]: Do not live together before you get married.

  298. [SPEAKER_00]: But people make sense out of doing it while.

  299. [SPEAKER_00]: Because they go, well, we've got to see if it works.

  300. [SPEAKER_00]: We've got to see if the relation.

  301. [SPEAKER_00]: We've got to see if we get along.

  302. [SPEAKER_00]: We've got to see if we can make it to get, let me just tell you something.

  303. [SPEAKER_00]: No, you can't.

  304. [SPEAKER_00]: Nobody, no two people can go live in the same house and just get along.

  305. [SPEAKER_00]: You got to work through it.

  306. [SPEAKER_00]: So you might as well do it God's way, where there's an annoying thing on it, where there's a blessing on it, it's not to say that you're cursed if you did something silly before you got married.

  307. [SPEAKER_00]: But I'm here to tell you that there's a better way.

  308. [SPEAKER_00]: But if we try to outsmart the word of God, we'll always find ourselves getting a lesser result.

  309. [SPEAKER_00]: In fact, listen to this, if the Spirit of Doe egg can get you to try to outsmart the word, it'll compromise your results and lead to a pervasive doubt.

  310. [SPEAKER_00]: This is why people who so seed without tithing are so discouraged.

  311. [SPEAKER_00]: You can't outsmart God in His process.

  312. [SPEAKER_00]: You can't outsmart His word.

  313. [SPEAKER_00]: No matter what the internet guy said, no matter what they say, I don't care how much they talk about the church, like it's silly on FoxC and InterMS NBC.

  314. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't care what the comedian said.

  315. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't care what the talk show lady said.

  316. [SPEAKER_00]: All I care about is Jesus Christ is faithful to perform his word and honor it.

  317. [SPEAKER_00]: Somebody ought to say amen in this house.

  318. [SPEAKER_00]: I know I'm a little heavy today.

  319. [SPEAKER_00]: It's all right.

  320. [SPEAKER_00]: Just think about it.

  321. [SPEAKER_00]: You're gonna get a nice slice of pie with lunch today.

  322. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what'll make you happy, Oli, Lua, so if the spirit of Dowe can get you to try to outsmart the word, it'll compromise your results and lead to pervasive doubt.

  323. [SPEAKER_00]: Number two, the spirit of Dowe can flames insecurities.

  324. [SPEAKER_00]: It inflames insecurities.

  325. [SPEAKER_00]: If you're familiar with the story of Saul and David, the Lord removes the annoying thing from Saul and he places a young boy named David who will be the king of Israel.

  326. [SPEAKER_00]: And their relationship was tumultuous at best, where David was tried, or I'm sorry, Saul tried to kill David pretty aggressively, multiple times on and on.

  327. [SPEAKER_00]: Keep trying to kill him.

  328. [SPEAKER_00]: That relationship,

  329. [SPEAKER_00]: was based out of insecurity.

  330. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to show you something you may have never noticed in your scriptures before.

  331. [SPEAKER_00]: Right here in 1st, King of chapter 16 verse 14, it says, now the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul in a harmful spirit from the Lord tormented him.

  332. [SPEAKER_00]: and Saul Servant said to him, behold, now a harmful spirit from God is tormenting you.

  333. [SPEAKER_00]: Let our Lord now command your servants who are before you to seek out a man who is skillful in playing the liar.

  334. [SPEAKER_00]: And when the harmful spirit from God is upon you, he'll play it and you'll be well.

  335. [SPEAKER_00]: So, Saul said to his servants, provide me a man who can play well and bring him to me.

  336. [SPEAKER_00]: Then one of the young men answered, behold, I have seen the son of Jesse, the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, which by the way, right there, that's all he's looking for.

  337. [SPEAKER_00]: Bring me a guitar player.

  338. [SPEAKER_00]: I got, I'm, I'm, I'm dealing with something.

  339. [SPEAKER_00]: I just need to get to our player.

  340. [SPEAKER_00]: That's all he's looking for.

  341. [SPEAKER_00]: But this is what he goes on and says, who's skillful in playing a man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a man of good presence, and the Lord is with him.

  342. [SPEAKER_00]: This problem is all because the Lord is no longer with Saul.

  343. [SPEAKER_00]: So he bookends it with this.

  344. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, guess what?

  345. [SPEAKER_00]: Scholars believe that that was Doeig, who gave that advice.

  346. [SPEAKER_00]: that Do Egg was the young man.

  347. [SPEAKER_00]: And so what happens is when you have an insecurity sitting in there, if you ever wondered why Saul got so upset when he came into town after David had killed Goliath and people said they're singing songs and saying, you know, Saul has killed his thousands, but David is tens of thousands.

  348. [SPEAKER_00]: This is a song that I sang.

  349. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to sing it next week, amen.

  350. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's good when we're going to start it.

  351. [SPEAKER_00]: And you wonder why he gets so upset about that.

  352. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, obviously on the surface, that seems like that's a little bit of a,

  353. [SPEAKER_00]: little bit of a zing, except why is it so bad?

  354. [SPEAKER_00]: Because there's already an existing insecurity in King Saul.

  355. [SPEAKER_00]: King Saul started by hearing how great David was.

  356. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going through all this mess and somebody's over here breathing down my neck, talking about this little kid and how great he is.

  357. [SPEAKER_00]: And then that same little kid shows up and ends up being able to kill Goliath and then they're singing songs about it and you wonder why it was insecurity folks.

  358. [SPEAKER_00]: There was an insecurity that was pre-existing.

  359. [SPEAKER_00]: And when your insecurity flares up, your defences flare up.

  360. [SPEAKER_00]: And your primary defense mechanism against insecurity is to prove your value.

  361. [SPEAKER_00]: My God, every time insecurity comes upon me, because yes, it does, because I'm a preacher, but I'm not Jesus.

  362. [SPEAKER_00]: And every time, well, don't aim in it too hard now.

  363. [SPEAKER_00]: But, but when the insecurity flows of what do I do, I try to prove my value.

  364. [SPEAKER_00]: I work a little harder, do a little more, show out a little bit, but I'm gonna do something to show that I'm, you know, I'm gonna mow the grass better than last week.

  365. [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, man, y'all ain't gonna catch me mowing the grass.

  366. [SPEAKER_00]: We pay people for that.

  367. [SPEAKER_00]: Holly, Lydia, I'm not about to do that.

  368. [SPEAKER_00]: But that insecurity, you know, it'll flare up in you and call you to put your defenses up.

  369. [SPEAKER_00]: And so listen, if the Spirit of Doeck can inflame your insecurities, he can get you to start trusting the flesh and ultimately that leads the condemnation.

  370. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't have it in my notes here, but I mean, if you look at your watch after I say that, you have to pray three hell Mary's before the end of the day, amen.

  371. [SPEAKER_00]: But Romans chapter 8 says, I get the former Catholics are laughing.

    Romans 8 chapter mention

  372. [SPEAKER_00]: I hear it, amen.

  373. [SPEAKER_00]: Romans chapter 8 says this, there's therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus for the law of the spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

    Romans 8 chapter mention

  374. [SPEAKER_00]: For God has done what the law weakened by flesh could not do by sinning His own son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin He condemns sin in the flesh in order that the righteous requirement of God

  375. [SPEAKER_00]: might be fulfilled in us who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

  376. [SPEAKER_00]: When you start trusting in the flesh and your own ability to do things, you're positioning yourself for condemnation to come back in.

  377. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm telling you, nothing will separate you from the Lord, more than condemnation.

  378. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, the Bible goes on to say that nothing can separate us from God.

  379. [SPEAKER_00]: But if you think you're separated from God, that's the ballgame.

  380. [SPEAKER_00]: Because if you deflect and run away from the Lord, well, it's done.

  381. [SPEAKER_00]: The number one thing that's hurt in summing all is you just thank you aren't good enough for the Lord You thank you aren't good enough for the church you think you're not good enough for this that or the other and I'm telling you through Jesus Christ Not only are you enough you're more than enough not only are you a conqueror you are how they knew you're more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus Somebody give the Lord a praise right there Number three the third thing that the dough expert does is it undermines the covenant it undermines the covenant

  382. [SPEAKER_00]: First Samuel chapter 25 verse 44 says, Saul had given Michael his daughter, David's wife, to Palty, the son of Leish, who was of gallum.

    1 Samuel 25:44

  383. [SPEAKER_00]: Saul, or David had married Saul's wife.

  384. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry, David had married Saul's daughter.

  385. [SPEAKER_00]: I wanna be real clear on that, make that correction for the internet.

  386. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, for I get the ugly comments.

  387. [SPEAKER_00]: It's spirited no egg, it work in the comments section, amen.

  388. [SPEAKER_00]: So, I was actually just trying to make sure y'all were listening.

  389. [SPEAKER_00]: But I'm a master preacher, so David had married Saul's daughter.

  390. [SPEAKER_00]: And when Saul had ultimately run David off.

  391. [SPEAKER_00]: They treated David like he was a rebel.

  392. [SPEAKER_00]: David is just trying to stay alive.

  393. [SPEAKER_00]: Cause Saul keeps trying to kill him.

  394. [SPEAKER_00]: And so he had run off and he had left and Michael actually helped him escape his wife.

  395. [SPEAKER_00]: And during that time that David had left, Saul took Michael and gave him her to another man as her husband.

  396. [SPEAKER_00]: This violates the marriage covenant in the most profound way.

  397. [SPEAKER_00]: And when Saul undermines that marriage covenant, who do you think was behind it?

  398. [SPEAKER_00]: It was Do Egg.

  399. [SPEAKER_00]: Do Egg reasoned that there was a legal right that if David had rebelled against the king, he was as good as dead.

  400. [SPEAKER_00]: So he found a back door to say that this would be okay according to the law of God.

  401. [SPEAKER_00]: There's actually a hidden insight in here as well.

  402. [SPEAKER_00]: Paul T, this is not the same person, but Paul T, the first time that name is used in the scripture.

  403. [SPEAKER_00]: It is one of the 12 spies who goes and spies out the land and comes back with a bad report.

  404. [SPEAKER_00]: Remember, it was only Joshua and Caleb who had a good report of the land.

  405. [SPEAKER_00]: He's one of the 10 who had a bad report of the land.

  406. [SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot there, I'm not gonna get into, but we're just gonna use the law.

  407. [SPEAKER_00]: First mention a little out of hand.

  408. [SPEAKER_00]: mentioned bless you by the way in Jesus' name, but Paul T. is the first mention, the first mention he's one of the 12 spies.

  409. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll listen to this.

  410. [SPEAKER_00]: I told you the Spirit of Doic will us to undermine the covenant.

  411. [SPEAKER_00]: Galatians chapter two verse four says this, yet because of false brothers secretly brought in, who slipped into spy out our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus so that they might bring us back in to slavery.

  412. [SPEAKER_00]: The Spirit of Doe Ag wants to get in and undermine the covenant that you're under.

  413. [SPEAKER_00]: He wants to get you to stop trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ, stop trusting in the cross, he wants you to start trusting in your works, he wants you to make, he wants to get you where you don't believe new covenant preaching, where you don't believe finished work preaching, where you don't believe Jesus is enough, he wants to get under you and say, yeah, well, I know you're saved by grace, but

  414. [SPEAKER_00]: Be careful of that but it's the most dangerous but that you'll ever hear.

  415. [SPEAKER_00]: The finished work is enough.

  416. [SPEAKER_00]: Jesus is enough.

  417. [SPEAKER_00]: The cross is enough.

  418. [SPEAKER_00]: And so the Spirit of Doe egg wants to get in and he wants to make sure that you come back into slavery to what was.

  419. [SPEAKER_00]: But there's nothing for you back there.

  420. [SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing for you in the old covenant.

  421. [SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing for you in your works.

  422. [SPEAKER_00]: The only place you're going to receive is through Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

  423. [SPEAKER_00]: Somebody say yes in this church.

  424. [SPEAKER_00]: So the Spirit of Doe equals to undermine the covenant which leads to a lack of power.

  425. [SPEAKER_00]: There is no power under this is a second Corinthians chapter three says this, that the glory that was on the old covenant has faded in favor of a glory of the new covenant.

  426. [SPEAKER_00]: The finished work of Jesus Christ.

  427. [SPEAKER_00]: There is no more power through that system.

  428. [SPEAKER_00]: And when it produces a lack of power, it produces from that idolatry or apostasy.

  429. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is when people walk away from the faith altogether.

  430. [SPEAKER_00]: Most people do not walk away from the faith because they want to sin and not be bothered about it.

  431. [SPEAKER_00]: Most people walk away from the faith because at some point the spirit of DOE came in and separated them from the covenant.

  432. [SPEAKER_00]: And they just said, I just can't do what I think I'm supposed to do.

  433. [SPEAKER_00]: I can't live the way they keep telling me I'm supposed to live so I might as well just run off.

  434. [SPEAKER_00]: But my friends, I'm telling you, there's no power under you trying to live right.

  435. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think you should go sin, I don't think you should act a fool.

  436. [SPEAKER_00]: But there ain't no power in that effort.

  437. [SPEAKER_00]: The only place that you're going to find power is that the foot of the cross, the one who has sanctified you.

  438. [SPEAKER_00]: He is your sanctifier.

  439. [SPEAKER_00]: He is the one who makes you good enough.

  440. [SPEAKER_00]: The Bible says in Hebrews chapter 10 verse 14, that he has perfected those who are being sanctified.

    Hebrews 10:14

  441. [SPEAKER_00]: You get a credit while you're in the process.

  442. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like when you're in a print, as you get to go practice while you're still getting the certification, amen.

  443. [SPEAKER_00]: So let me just review real quick what we talked about.

  444. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna tell you how to confront it.

  445. [SPEAKER_00]: The Spirit of Doeig starts with a small influence, but it ends with a total assault.

  446. [SPEAKER_00]: If the Spirit of Doeig can get you to outsmart the word, it'll compromise your results, and then it'll bring pervasive doubt.

  447. [SPEAKER_00]: Again, if you outsmart the word of God and get the results that you were so smart to get,

  448. [SPEAKER_00]: Even if you're not doing this on purpose or out of a character area, you're going to think, oh, well, this stuff don't work.

  449. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, why?

  450. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, because you, it'll inflame your insecurities, get you to trust the flesh and when you trust the flesh and bring about condemnation.

  451. [SPEAKER_00]: And then if you undermine the covenant, or if you undermine the covenant,

  452. [SPEAKER_00]: It'll lack power because there's no power in anything other than the finished work of Jesus Christ.

  453. [SPEAKER_00]: And that'll bring about idolatry because you'll start looking to other things that you need to work.

  454. [SPEAKER_00]: So now I don't just need Jesus.

  455. [SPEAKER_00]: You might not walk away from Jesus.

  456. [SPEAKER_00]: It might not be total apostasy.

  457. [SPEAKER_00]: You might say, I need Jesus and I need a little sage.

  458. [SPEAKER_00]: I need Jesus and I need a little crystal.

  459. [SPEAKER_00]: We got into business.

  460. [SPEAKER_00]: I thought idolatry was like Alabama football and war evil.

  461. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?

  462. [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't think it was, I thought that was, you know, we called that idolatry.

  463. [SPEAKER_00]: Then we got into business and we realized, no, everybody got Jesus in Buddha and Jesus and Christals and Jesus and this and Jesus in that and I'm telling you, you don't need to go see the psychic?

  464. [SPEAKER_00]: Hey man, my favorite, have you all ever seen Oceans 12?

  465. [SPEAKER_00]: Oceans 12, he's getting his palms red, and then a guy walks in behind him to kill him.

  466. [SPEAKER_00]: And he looks there and goes, you couldn't see this?

  467. [SPEAKER_00]: You don't need your palm red in Jesus' name.

  468. [SPEAKER_00]: You don't need all of that stuff.

  469. [SPEAKER_00]: So it'll produce idolatry, or it will produce apostasy.

  470. [SPEAKER_00]: And you'll just say, you know what?

  471. [SPEAKER_00]: I'd just be happier left alone.

  472. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm telling you your life will turn down in the tubes, quick on that folks.

  473. [SPEAKER_00]: Life is better with Jesus Christ.

  474. [SPEAKER_00]: In fact, Jesus makes life incredible.

  475. [SPEAKER_00]: How do we respond to the spirit of the dough egg?

  476. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, the really issue with the spirit of the dough egg is about your ability to receive.

  477. [SPEAKER_00]: It's about your ability to receive.

  478. [SPEAKER_00]: If the spirit of the dough egg can get involved and get you cut off from your ability to receive.

  479. [SPEAKER_00]: If you'll start distrusting preachers, start distrusting the words, start distrusting what God has said, start distrusting the Lord's processes.

  480. [SPEAKER_00]: If you start getting, if he can affect your ability to receive, that's going to affect your ability to live life to the full layman.

  481. [SPEAKER_00]: And so, DOEG attacks the means by which the preach word can have power in your life.

  482. [SPEAKER_00]: Again, next week, I'm going to talk about the preachers are falling.

  483. [SPEAKER_00]: help the preachers are falling.

  484. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to help you to know how you can be protected when a preacher falls.

  485. [SPEAKER_00]: If you've ever had church hurt, preacher hurt, deacon hurt, usher hurt, children's ministry worker hurt, parking lot attendant hurt.

  486. [SPEAKER_00]: If you've hit a pot hole in a church and that stuck with you for some reason, I want you to be here next week.

  487. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to help you with that stuff.

  488. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to help you get free because this really ain't about preachers.

  489. [SPEAKER_00]: It really ain't about churches.

  490. [SPEAKER_00]: This is really about you.

  491. [SPEAKER_00]: It's about you receiving and walking in power.

  492. [SPEAKER_00]: You.

  493. [SPEAKER_00]: need power.

  494. [SPEAKER_00]: Amen.

  495. [SPEAKER_00]: And so, so this is our response.

  496. [SPEAKER_00]: This is our response to the spirit of dough.

  497. [SPEAKER_00]: Go with me to second Samuel chapter one.

  498. [SPEAKER_00]: Second Samuel chapter one.

  499. [SPEAKER_00]: Second Samuel chapter one.

  500. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to read quite a bit and then I am going to get us out of here.

  501. [SPEAKER_00]: Second Savior chapter one, starting in verse one, it says, after the death of Saul, when David had returned from striking down the Amalachites.

  502. [SPEAKER_00]: David remained two days at Zicklag, and on the third day, the hold of man came from Saul's camp with his closed horn and dirt on his head, and when he came to David, he fell on the ground and paid homage.

  503. [SPEAKER_00]: David said to him, where do you come from?

  504. [SPEAKER_00]: And he said to him, I've escaped from the camp of Israel, and David said to him, how did it go?

  505. [SPEAKER_00]: Tell me.

  506. [SPEAKER_00]: and he answered the people fled from the battle and also many of the people have fallen in her dead and Saul and his son Jonathan are also dead.

  507. [SPEAKER_00]: Then David said to the young man,

  508. [SPEAKER_00]: who told him, how do you know that Saul and his son, Jonathan or dead, and the young man who told him said, by chance, I happened to be on Mount Gilboa, and there was Saul leaning on his spear and behold the chariots and the horsemen, were close upon him, and he looked behind him, and he saw me, and he called to me, and he answered, or I answered here, I am, and he said to me, who are you, and I answered him, I am an amalachite, and he said to me, stand beside me and kill me for anguish has seized me and yet my life still lingers.

  509. [SPEAKER_00]: So I stood beside him and killed him because I was sure he could not live after he had fallen.

  510. [SPEAKER_00]: And I took the crown that was on his head in the armament that was on his arm and I brought them here to you, my Lord.

  511. [SPEAKER_00]: Then David said, hold, David took hold of his clothes and tore them and so did all the men who were with him.

  512. [SPEAKER_00]: And they mourned and wept and fasted until evening for Saul and for Jonathan, his son.

  513. [SPEAKER_00]: for the people of the Lord and for the house of Israel because they had fallen by the sword.

  514. [SPEAKER_00]: And David said to the young man, who told you, where did you come from?

  515. [SPEAKER_00]: And he answered, I am the son of a sojourner and a malachite.

  516. [SPEAKER_00]: David said to him, how is it that you were not afraid to put out your hand to destroy the Lord's anointed?

  517. [SPEAKER_00]: Then David called one of the young men and said, go execute him.

  518. [SPEAKER_00]: and he struck him down so that he died and David said to him, you're blood the on your head for your own mouth is testified against you saying I've killed the Lord's anointed.

  519. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll be honest with you.

  520. [SPEAKER_00]: When you read that at face value, it actually seems a little rough.

  521. [SPEAKER_00]: Seems unwarranted.

  522. [SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, I mean, Saul had been pursuing David.

  523. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, David should be very glad at this news.

  524. [SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot here.

  525. [SPEAKER_00]: That Amalekite is believed to be Doeek.

  526. [SPEAKER_00]: In fact, the reason that they believe he was there is because it is Jewish tradition that Doeek's son was Saul's armor bearer who refused to kill him earlier.

  527. [SPEAKER_00]: And so when Doeek after all of the history that David has with Doeek, which is much deeper than what I've gone into today.

  528. [SPEAKER_00]: All of the history that David had with Doe Egg, he had saw what his counsel had done to the life of Saul, and he knew what his counsel would do to him.

  529. [SPEAKER_00]: He right here, he had switched allegiances.

  530. [SPEAKER_00]: And I didn't get into this, but for years, Doe Egg was an enemy of David.

  531. [SPEAKER_00]: He tried to get in the way of anything that David, he was the one that had told King Saul about him being in knob with the priest.

  532. [SPEAKER_00]: when they came out there and then killed all of the priests.

  533. [SPEAKER_00]: They had a history.

  534. [SPEAKER_00]: So David knew what the influence of Doe Egg would do.

  535. [SPEAKER_00]: He also knew what Doe Egg ultimately did to Saul.

  536. [SPEAKER_00]: And so the way that he responded to it is he identified the spirit and acted accordingly.

  537. [SPEAKER_00]: And David in his history had written this about Doe Egg.

  538. [SPEAKER_00]: This is a Psalm that is about Doe Egg, the E to mine.

  539. [SPEAKER_00]: In Psalm 52 verse 2 it says your tongue plots destruction, like a sharp razor, you worker of deceit.

    Psalms 52:2

  540. [SPEAKER_00]: You love evil more than good and lying more than speaking what is right.

  541. [SPEAKER_00]: You love all words that devour, oh deceitful tongue.

  542. [SPEAKER_00]: David wrote that about Doe Egg.

  543. [SPEAKER_00]: And so David responds to this spirit with no compromise.

  544. [SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't entertain it, he doesn't give it time, he doesn't let it explain itself, he watched this spirit.

  545. [SPEAKER_00]: Use a spit out King Saul, and then the end of it, just like the priest didn't have, he had no problem grabbing Saul's spear and putting it right through it and putting him to death.

  546. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm gonna tell you right now, there's a spirit at work in the age, and it's an ancient spirit.

  547. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the spirit of Do Egg that has no problem in creating problems for you in a way where you can't receive from the word of God.

  548. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's only intention is to leave you

  549. [SPEAKER_00]: And it will snatch the last piece of value that you have right off your head and run over to somebody else and try to convince them to let him do the same to them that it did to you.

  550. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not talking about the lady you work with, I'm not talking about the guy on your job who gets under your skin.

  551. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking about a spirit that is actively at work trying to make sure that you do not receive from the Word of God.

  552. [SPEAKER_00]: It creates doubt, it creates distrust,

  553. [SPEAKER_00]: You ever wonder why you never hear about a preacher doing anything good?

  554. [SPEAKER_00]: But if the guy miscounts the offering he's on NBC nightly news, they never tell you what's actually going on, preacher and dieted for fraud.

  555. [SPEAKER_00]: Well the guy just didn't know he wasn't an accountant, man, I don't mean he wasn't stealing money, he was just an idiot.

  556. [SPEAKER_00]: I am one, I know.

  557. [SPEAKER_00]: The spirit's pervasive, it's rising in the culture.

  558. [SPEAKER_00]: And we have to at some point say we're not going to entertain this nonsense of, we're not going to question everything, maybe maybe if we just operate in trust, I used to teach guys this and I'm going to close.

  559. [SPEAKER_00]: There's something powerful about faith and I want you to hear me if you ever hear something that you go, man, that sounds extreme, you know, you're right to maybe pull back.

  560. [SPEAKER_00]: But let's be honest, most of y'all ain't ever heard nothing super extreme from a preacher.

  561. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, but if I get up here and go, hey, the Lord spoke to me and for the next year, everybody's supposed to give 75% of their income to the church.

  562. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, you got the right to go, think I'm just going to hit Google real quick and check that out.

  563. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, but you ain't hearing stuff like that from preachers very often.

  564. [SPEAKER_00]: But if every time you hear something and you question it, you never take a step of faith, you miss those opportunities for God to move in your life.

  565. [SPEAKER_00]: And so I used to teach guys this when it came to leading worship, that one of the most important things you do when you lead worship, which by the way, I'm not doing great at because I just got a lot of happiness.

  566. [SPEAKER_00]: That's something I want you all to pray.

  567. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm believing for breakthroughs by the way.

  568. [SPEAKER_00]: But one of the things I used to worship is most important thing you do is give you people instruction.

  569. [SPEAKER_00]: Lift your hands, clap, shout, you know, turn around in a circle, put your right foot in, your right foot out, whatever, because for most people, that moment is the first moment that they have an opportunity to operate in faith.

  570. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'll tell you the majority of my breakthrough, this is like the, this is the insurgest.

  571. [SPEAKER_00]: The majority of my breakthrough is when I went from this in the first 15 minutes of service to this.

  572. [SPEAKER_00]: and I'm telling you the supernatural power of God started to move in my life in a powerful way.

  573. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a step of faith.

  574. [SPEAKER_00]: But the spirit of dough egg gets in there and goes, well, this is what I've heard.

  575. [SPEAKER_00]: I've heard preachers say this.

  576. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't like to lift my hands when the preacher tells me to.

  577. [SPEAKER_00]: That's the problem.

  578. [SPEAKER_00]: You don't like to do anything when somebody tells you to.

  579. [SPEAKER_00]: So you're predisposed to not receive from the word a preacher or a prophet.

  580. [SPEAKER_00]: Everything that's going to cause breakthrough in your life.

  581. [SPEAKER_00]: But I'm gonna tell you, if I need to God to touch my life and worship leader a little, because one day it ain't gonna be me.

  582. [SPEAKER_00]: One day it's gonna be a little 19-year-old kid, the y'all ain't got no respect for, and I'm gonna have to tell y'all off when y'all are ugly too, it may be me.

  583. [SPEAKER_00]: And he's gonna get up here, he's gonna say, I'm just all across the room, Liches.

  584. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not having a little 19-year-old kid tell me what to do.

  585. [SPEAKER_00]: Honey, you need a breakthrough, so why don't you lift your hands?

  586. [SPEAKER_00]: That's the spirit of dough egg and operation folks.

  587. [SPEAKER_00]: That does that stuff.

  588. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's over the silliest stuff, too.

  589. [SPEAKER_00]: And so we start distrusting preachers because of something somebody else did.

  590. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what the worst thing about preachers falling is?

  591. [SPEAKER_00]: Is that I didn't, they wasn't me.

  592. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, you get, it got, does something stupid, and then I got to go in here and like defend myself for stuff I ain't done.

  593. [SPEAKER_00]: I just, all I've done is, I built a stage.

  594. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know anything.

  595. [SPEAKER_00]: I ain't had time to do anything else.

  596. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what, you know?

  597. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what to tell you.

  598. [SPEAKER_00]: But it's the spirit of dough egg at a get-in to you.

  599. [SPEAKER_00]: Lift your hands all across the room this morning.

  600. [SPEAKER_00]: Heavenly Father, we make a decision today as a church family.

  601. [SPEAKER_00]: We're not going to let this doubt and nonsense and fear about what somebody's preaching get into as far as we accept today that we might actually be able to bear up a certain amount of false teaching and still serve you with a good conscience.

  602. [SPEAKER_00]: And so Lord, rather than trying to question everything that keeps us from change and breakthrough and freedom,

  603. [SPEAKER_00]: Father, we're going to make a commitment today that when we hear the word, we're going to let the annoying thing flow into our life and we're going to respond to it with diligence.

  604. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to respond to it and receive from it so we can walk in power and God, we'll make a commitment to you since I got everybody's hands lifted right now.

  605. [SPEAKER_00]: Father, we'll take it to the next level.

  606. [SPEAKER_00]: And we'll start reading our Bible and we'll start praying and we'll start seeking outside of just the Sunday morning experience, but God for now what we're going to do is we're going to put the Spirit of Doe Egg on notice that it doesn't have any business up in here.

  607. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not going to influence the way that we receive the Word of God.

  608. [SPEAKER_00]: But so Father, because we've made this decision, we ask you to honor our faith towards the Word and our faith towards the annoying thing.

  609. [SPEAKER_00]: With power and breakthrough and sufficiency and miracles in Jesus' name, Holly Liu.
