  1. Revelation chapter 5 The Lion and the Lamb, the greatest

    Revelation 5 chapter mention

  2. worship service ever recorded. In chapter 4, John is taken

  3. caught up to heaven, a type of the rapture of the church which

  4. is due to happen at any moment. As John opens his eyes in

  5. heaven, there before him is the throne of God, and he describes

  6. it so you and I can have a pretty good understanding what

  7. the throne of God will look like because we're going to be there

  8. soon. John details all its glory, its

  9. majesty, its power. He speaks of the the jewellery

  10. that there that's there and from the throne, coming from the

  11. throne, it says in chapter 4 comes Thunder and lightning and

  12. a rainbow is wrapped around the throne.

  13. And so we begin the third section, the final section of

  14. the Book of Revelation this morning.

  15. Revelation chapter one verse 19 tells us the divisions of the

  16. book. Write the things which you've

  17. seen. John chapter Sorry, Revelation

    Revelation 1 chapter mention

  18. chapter 1, John saw Jesus in his glorified image, eyes of fire,

  19. feet of brass hair, white clothes with girded with a

  20. golden breastplate. Then in chapters 2 and, and, and

  21. the things which are chapters 2 to 3, the church age.

  22. You and I are living in the church age.

  23. It hasn't finished yet started on the day of Pentecost.

  24. It's continuing on today. You and I live in chapters 2 and

  25. 3. And now from chapter 4 on, the

  26. things which shall take place after this, the things that

  27. shall take place after the church period, church is

  28. raptured and the tribulation begins after Christ's ascension

  29. into heaven. Remember, in the book of Acts,

  30. the disciples are standing there and Jesus ascends into heaven

  31. before their eyes. Angels are saying, well, what

  32. are you looking at? He's coming back the same Jesus

  33. that you see. He's coming back again.

  34. Don't get about your job. We read in Hebrews that when

  35. Jesus ascended into heaven that then he sat down at the right

  36. hand, the privileged position of the Father.

  37. Hebrews 1012 But this man that says Jesus, God became man, God

  38. Incarnate, born of a virgin in Bethlehem.

  39. But this man after he had offered one sacrifice, Jesus was

  40. only going to die on the cross once.

  41. That's it. Once and for all his sacrifice

  42. is done. It's finished.

  43. He said it's finished. Then he sat down and the priests

  44. in the Old Testament when they were serving in the Tabernacle,

  45. they there was no chairs in the Tabernacle.

  46. It's not like here we have chairs and you sit down in the

  47. Tabernacle, there's no chairs. They went went about their

  48. business. Jesus sat down our high priest.

  49. Why? It was finished, It's done,

  50. completed. Sin had been paid for, but God

  51. so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that

  52. whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting

  53. life. But now we begin chapter 5, we

  54. see Jesus standing. It's going to tell us that.

  55. It's telling us something significant is about to begin,

  56. about to happen, to unfold. As John begins to describe what

  57. he is witnessing, he notices before God's throne the 24

  58. elders. We saw them in chapter 4

  59. representing the 12 tribes of Israel and the 12 apostles as

  60. well that representing the church.

  61. They seated around the throne, you see something happening.

  62. There are four powerful angels that stand around the throne of

  63. God who cry out. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God

  64. Almighty who is and was and is to come.

  65. And that's what they do over and over and over and over.

  66. Cherubim and something, something stirring.

  67. And in the hand of he who is seated on the throne, God the

  68. Father. John sees a scroll, a big

  69. parchment scroll wound up, and it's sealed.

  70. This is a significant document. It's written front and back.

  71. It's fastened or sealed with 7 seals, 7 round wax markings and

  72. after each section it's sealed, then another section it's

  73. sealed. So you have to read break the

  74. section first, seal, pull it out, you're reading from right

  75. to left, pull it out and then when you finish that first

  76. section then there's another seal break to break to to read

  77. the next section. What's the scroll?

  78. What is this? Is it the title deed of the

  79. earth forfeited by Adam when he disobeyed God with Eve and

  80. obeyed Satan, ate of the fruit, touched the tree that he

  81. shouldn't, then forfeited dominion?

  82. God had given Adam and Eve dominion over the world and all

  83. the animals and all the plants and everything.

  84. Genesis 127 You have dominion. I give it to you, You're in

  85. charge. But Adam disobeyed God and

  86. obeyed Satan. Is it the scroll?

  87. Is this the scroll? Is it redemption?

  88. Is it the redemption? Is it the record of the plan of

  89. God? It's going to see Adam and Eve

  90. sinned and then God will have a seed of a woman.

  91. And is it is it that laid out the death on the cross, the born

  92. of a virgin and all that sort of stuff laying in the tomb for

  93. three days and rising on the from the dead?

  94. Is it a record? Is it a, is it a is it detailing

  95. all the events? Now they're going to happen.

  96. The seven seals, 7 trumpets, bowls, etcetera.

  97. They're going to be unveiled now as we see the judgement of God

  98. coming upon planet earth. The fact that the scroll is

  99. written back in front tells us that it's detail is complete.

  100. There's nothing more to be added to it in the time of John's

  101. writing. Remember he's on the island of

  102. Patmos. He's been exiled, he's a lonely

  103. old man. He's in his 90s now.

  104. Eventually he'll be released, he'll go back.

  105. And because he from the time of the cross, he looked after Mary,

  106. Jesus mother and they lived in Ephesus.

  107. There John would die of old age along with Mary.

  108. The time of John's writing, he is some 90 years old.

  109. As I said, land title deeds. When you went to buy a block of

  110. land, the title deeds and wills in those days was sealed and

  111. written on scrolls with wax, sealed just like this.

  112. Let's look at verse 1 and I. This is John saw in the right

  113. hand. The right hand always speaks of

  114. power, authority of him, Capital H.

  115. It's God the Father who said on the throne, a scroll written

  116. inside and on the back sealed with 7 seals, there's two.

  117. Then I saw a strong Angel. Now you're right.

  118. This Angel has this, this, this is, this is, you know, we see so

  119. many drawings of angels and they're kind of like sweet,

  120. aren't they angels? Our images and things and

  121. imagination of what really is is so different.

  122. What the Bible tells this is a strong Angel.

  123. This is a powerful Angel. We saw, I saw a strong Angel

  124. proclaiming any speaks with a loud voice.

  125. Now everything in the Middle East is loud.

  126. We saw a bar mitzvah happening as they March up and they go up

  127. to the Western Wall when a young Israeli boy is becoming a man of

  128. a bar mitzvah. And man, it was loud.

  129. And everywhere we ate, we were down in the Dead Sea eating in

  130. the in the restaurant at night down in the Dead Sea and the

  131. Jews were getting together and man, they are loud.

  132. They celebrate, they sing when families get together.

  133. There was a wedding celebration going on.

  134. Man, if you think my music's too loud, sorry, God's going to give

  135. you a set of arrows, but they're going to be adjusted because in

  136. heaven there's going to be a lot of loud stuff.

  137. I saw a strong Angel proclaiming with a loud voice, and this is

  138. what he said. Who is worthy to open the scroll

  139. and to loose its seals? Who is worthy to open the scroll

  140. to loose its seals? A strong Angel.

  141. The word strong in the Greek there is actually mighty,

  142. powerful. Verse 3.

  143. And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was

  144. able to open the scroll or to look at it.

  145. So no one in all the universe was able to look at it, touch

  146. it, or to open it. So there's a silence after this

  147. proclamation. Who's worthy?

  148. Silence. No response.

  149. No, Archangel is not Michael or none of those coming forward.

  150. No, Gabriel's not coming. I'll do this.

  151. No, there's no response. No cherubim, no seraphim marches

  152. forward, No Abraham, Moses or any of those come forward.

  153. Yeah, I'll do it. If the mighty Angel had called

  154. out who's willing, There would have been movement.

  155. I'll have a crack. I'll have a go.

  156. But he cried out who was worthy. The word worthy is the Greek

  157. word axios. It means befitting who is

  158. powerful, who is worthy, who is befitting, who has the the, the

  159. qualifications. It's able.

  160. So John, as he sees no one come forward, begins to weep

  161. profusely. It's not like a few tears

  162. running down his eyes. He begins to convulse.

  163. This is overwhelming grief, John, because John knows exactly

  164. what this scroll is, what it represents, what it means, and

  165. he knows what needs to happen. This, by the way, is the only

  166. place we read of there being tears in heaven at this moment,

  167. verse 4. So I wept much because no one

  168. was found worthy to open and read the scroll or to look at

  169. it. But one of the elders said to

  170. me, do not weep. Behold or look up the lion

  171. capital L of the tribe of Judah. We're defining who this is the

  172. root of David, both Joseph and Mary, even though Joseph wasn't

  173. the father, he just looked after and the fatherly role, but both

  174. Joseph and Mary came from the lineage of David.

  175. That's why they had to go to Bethlehem during the time of

  176. census House of David, the root of David.

  177. So we we're defining who this is.

  178. This is Jesus because Jesus is going to the promise to the

  179. Messiah is he's he's through David.

  180. The throne of David has prevailed to open the scroll and

  181. to loose it's 7 seals. He's able to break the seals.

  182. John's weeping is incontrollable.

  183. Fascinating. What were his tears?

  184. Why such grief? They represented the tears of

  185. Adam and Eve as they saw the lifeless body of their son Abel

  186. dead killed boy's brother. And Adam and Eve knew the weight

  187. of sin and hadn't just made them naked and ashamed.

  188. Death had come, they were dying. And now they see as a result of

  189. their disobedience, death, their son Abel laying dead sin, the

  190. wages of sin is death. It just ultimately kills the

  191. tears of Israel. Over the years, 400 years as

  192. their slaves, 7274 people go into Egypt, become two, two and

  193. a half million, 3 million people, possibly over 400 years.

  194. But during those 400 years, they are wailing and crying at the

  195. God, and God hears them. They're the tears of some of you

  196. and I who stood by the grave of a loved one.

  197. There's nothing more sure that proves the book of Genesis and

  198. the fall of man than a funeral. It's the reality.

  199. It's Genesis. In reality, it's 3D.

  200. When you stand and there's death, death has occurred.

  201. That person is dead. Where are they now?

  202. Death only came. Death wasn't part of God's plan.

  203. When God made everything, it was beautiful.

  204. He thought it was good. Death wasn't part of our

  205. planning. It wasn't what God had for us.

  206. But we disobeyed. We opened the door and let sin

  207. come in, which brought death such as the curse of sin that

  208. has been laid upon God's beautiful creation.

  209. God said over and over and over six times it's good what I've

  210. read that's good. Then he said it's very good.

  211. No wonder John web so why he knew the scroll its title deed.

  212. It's the title deed for the earth that Adam and Eve had

  213. lost. If no one claims it, Satan, who

  214. rules the world, who is the Prince and power of the air, the

  215. Little G God. Jesus called him Little G God,

  216. God of the air. He has ruled dominion over it at

  217. the moment. This is why when Jesus was

  218. driven by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness of 40 days and 40

  219. nights, when Satan offered him, I, you can, I'll give you the

  220. world, you can rule the world, I'll give it to you.

  221. He owned it and legally forwarded and got the the flow

  222. on from the fall of Adam and Eve, who'd forfeited it.

  223. He's like, I'll give you the world.

  224. Jesus just bowed out and worship me.

  225. Worship me. John's wondering if Satan would

  226. forever have his hands on what Adam lost.

  227. No, Jesus is about to make all things right again.

  228. He's standing up. He will end death.

  229. We see that later in Revelation 21.

  230. No more death, no more tears, no more pain, sorrow, the elder

  231. says. John, don't weep.

  232. Behold the lion of the tribe of Judah.

  233. One title, the root of David second title had prevailed to

  234. open the scroll to loose 7 seals.

  235. He can open the skull scroll, he can break the seals.

  236. He is worthy. I looked and behold, in the

  237. midst of of the throne and of the four living creatures said

  238. John looks where he's been pointed, asked to look.

  239. And in the midst of the elders third title stood a lamb capital

  240. L Lion root of David Lamb defining who this is.

  241. There's only one who fits all those.

  242. It's Jesus, as though it had been slain.

  243. Then it says having 7 horns and seven eyes.

  244. And you kind of go, oh, what is this gross thing?

  245. We'll explain because it says then, which are the seven

  246. spirits of God. So it's it's it's not actual

  247. horns or eyes. Horns speak of strength, and the

  248. eyes will explain. Sent out into all the earth.

  249. Then he came, the lion, the seed of David, the lamb that had been

  250. slain. He takes the scroll from the

  251. right hand of him who said on the throne he was able.

  252. So I'll take that. Now, in the Old Testament,

  253. there's a redemption clause and the buying and selling of land.

  254. Israel was and still very much is an agrarian, very much an

  255. agrarian society. If a farmer had to sell or

  256. forfeit his land due to tough times, difficult running out of

  257. money, there was a clause always in the selling of of the land

  258. that he could in time be able to redeem, buy back, which was his

  259. to maintain and ensure that that land stays in his family.

  260. He could or a member of his family if he, if he passed away,

  261. could become what's known as a kinsman Redeemer.

  262. We see it in the book of Ruth. But to qualify to be able to

  263. uphold that clause, there were three criteria that legally had

  264. to be fulfilled. 1 you had to be the original owner or related to

  265. the original original owner. This is why Jesus became a man.

  266. Firstly, to be able to die. That God could die on the cross.

  267. But also so that He represents us, the human race.

  268. He could come forward and actually be part of a kinsman

  269. Redeemer. He put on a human body.

  270. It's called the Incarnation. 2. He had to be able to meet the

  271. debt required. What's the debt that's required?

  272. The wages of sin is death. So he had to be able to die.

  273. But to be able to die, he can't. A criminal can't pay the debt of

  274. another criminal. He's already in gaol.

  275. He's got his own debts to worry about.

  276. So he had to be innocent. He had to.

  277. And to be innocent, he had to be what?

  278. Born of a virgin, the seed of a woman.

  279. Genesis chapter 3 couldn't just be Joseph's son.

    Genesis 3 chapter mention

  280. He had to be born of the seed of a woman.

  281. He is innocent. Blood never sinned, tempted, but

  282. never sinned sinless. And three, he had to be willing

  283. to make the redemption purpose. He had to go.

  284. Yeah, I'll do that. He prayed in the garden if

  285. there'd be any other way but Lord, not my will, but thine,

  286. I'll go to the cross. In the book of Isaiah chapter

    Isaiah 53 chapter mention

  287. 53, it says Jesus would be the Messiah, would be LED away as a

  288. lamb. Interesting.

  289. What to the slaughter when the soldiers came and there were

  290. thousands of soldiers, not just a couple of 100 that came to to

  291. arrest Jesus that time there was a massive number, at least 6-7

  292. hundred. Let me put put it back and write

  293. 4 figures. They came to arrest Jesus and

  294. you go OK guys we're on air, we're into it.

  295. Peter tried that, didn't he? He said, take me, I'm the one

  296. you want, Leave these. And he was led away as a lamb to

  297. the slaughter. John turns his gaze to see

  298. Jesus, expecting to see the lion of the tribe of Judah.

  299. Jesus is from Judah, which indeed he is.

  300. But instead John sees a lamb standing.

  301. Jesus was seated, now he's standing.

  302. Something's happening. In the book of Genesis chapter

    Genesis 49:9

  303. 49, verse 9 and 10, it says the sceptre shall not depart from

  304. Judah. That is the ruling, nor nor a

  305. lawgiver from between his feet until Shiloh comes.

  306. And to him shall the obedience of the people gather.

  307. So the image, the symbol of a lamb is one of strength and

  308. power is so counter to our world's imagery, isn't it?

  309. I mean, no football team, NFL, rugby team, you know, that's the

  310. mascot, that's a lamb. He's there.

  311. That's our, that's our mascot, little lamb.

  312. We're a very powerful, strong team.

  313. And so it's opposite to the world's thinking, but Jesus is

  314. both the lion and the lamb. 30 times in the Book of Revelation

  315. he has this title spoken of him in Jesus deity.

  316. In being God. He is the lion of the tribe of

  317. Judah. He is the king.

  318. The lion is what the king of peace.

  319. Jesus is the King of kings, all powerful in his rule.

  320. In Jesus humanity, he is seen as the Lamb, absolute humility to

  321. his Father's will. He said of himself that he had

  322. come to serve and not be served. That's interesting.

  323. You want to throw that out there, by the way, so often

  324. people come to churches and think, you know, I want to run

  325. the place, you know, I want to be the head.

  326. This will do that. And then they get this like

  327. power, power thing happens to them.

  328. Start telling people what to do and everything.

  329. Jesus came to serve. Remember he washed the disciples

  330. feet. He came to serve and not be

  331. served. In Philippians chapter 2 verse 7

    Philippians 2:7

  332. it details the ministry of Jesus.

  333. This is what you and I should aim for.

  334. He made himself of no reputation.

  335. He made himself no didn't take oh, yeah, I'm the one.

  336. I run the show. I'm the most support person

  337. here. I'm the best singer.

  338. I'm the best Sunday school teacher and I'm the greatest

  339. preacher. I'm this and that made himself

  340. with no reputation, taking the form of a bond servant.

  341. The word bond servant is the lowest form.

  342. That's Jesus, the lowest form, coming in the likeness of men.

  343. That's the incarnation being found in appearance as a man.

  344. He humbled himself and became obedient.

  345. How far? How far was He obedient?

  346. To the point of death, even the death of the cross.

  347. He was a willing sacrifice. He was the willing Lamb.

  348. As they let him away, He just let them lead him away.

  349. He let them smack him, beat him, spit on him, tear his beard,

  350. tear his hair. Then he let them whip him with

  351. the catanine towels with stones, broken glass and bones.

  352. And if he had it added one word said Oh no, I know I'm innocent,

  353. then it would have been less and less.

  354. He opened not what his mouth is a lamb, but Jesus is both that

  355. Christ's first coming. He came as a lamb.

  356. But when Christ returns Revelation 19, his second

  357. coming, he's coming as a lion. No mucking around this time.

  358. John notices that Jesus, just as he had seen him after his

  359. crucifixion, that's what catches his gaze and resurrection,

  360. actually, the holes in his hands, holes in his feet.

  361. Lamb has had been slain. John can clearly see the wounds

  362. of the cross still on Jesus in heaven.

  363. Now the lamb, by the way, in the Greek language, it's pet lamb.

  364. It's the pet lamb. It's like having, you know, some

  365. of you have had pet lambs. I've brought them home and

  366. dished them out and give them to relatives who've thanked me.

  367. Later pet lamb jumped these wounds back in John chapter 20.

    John 20 chapter mention

  368. You remember Thomas is devastated when Jesus died.

  369. The twin one of the 12 was not with them when Jesus appeared to

  370. them. Verse 25.

  371. The other disciples therefore said to him, hey Thomas, we've

  372. seen the Lord. He said look, don't come at me

  373. with this. He's upset, he's heartbroken,

  374. unless I see in his hands the print of the nails and put my

  375. finger in the print of the nails and put my hand in his side with

  376. a spear, when I'll not believe, I don't believe that.

  377. Don't give that to me. Then it says after 8 days, eight

  378. days later, his disciples were again inside.

  379. Thomas this time is with them. Jesus came, the door was shut.

  380. Jesus appears, stood in the midst and said peace to you,

  381. Shalom. And then he would go straight to

  382. Thomas. He said, Thomas, put your

  383. fingers here. The hall would have been here.

  384. Thomas, put your finger in there.

  385. Thomas pulling his garment up, showing the big word where the

  386. spear went into his heart. Thomas, put your hand in here.

  387. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.

  388. Thomas, a Jew said this. My Lord and my God either.

  389. Jesus is God and Thomas is saying the right thing, or

  390. Thomas is being blasphemous, saying that to a man.

  391. Jesus is the Son of God. So the only man made things that

  392. you and I will see. They'll remind us for all

  393. eternity is every time we'll see Jesus, we'll see the holes, the

  394. holes always for eternity in heaven.

  395. Verse 6, in the midst of the throne of the four living

  396. creatures, in the midst of the elders, stood a lamb as though

  397. it had been slain, having 7 horns and seven eyes, which are

  398. the seven spirits of God sent out to all the earth. 7 horns

  399. are always indicative. A horn is always indicative of

  400. power. Jesus is the omnipotent. 1 He

  401. had seven. He has complete power. 7 is the

  402. number of completion. He has absolute complete power.

  403. Seven eyes. Jesus is the all knowing 1.

  404. He is omniscient, the devil isn't and he is also

  405. omnipresent. He is ever present everywhere.

  406. Jesus says I'll never leave you nor forsake you.

  407. Then he came and took the scroll out of the right hand of him who

  408. said on the throne the scroll is the title deed of the earth

  409. forfeited by Adam. It is the record of man's

  410. redemption. It is the detailed record of all

  411. the events. Because as Jesus begins to break

  412. the seals, we see the first seal will do that Wednesday night,

  413. the four horsemen of the Apocalypse.

  414. Then we see Him break the second seal, the second seal, and so on

  415. and so on. And lastly, it tells of all the

  416. judgements about to come upon the earth.

  417. As each seal is soon to be broken and the scroll being

  418. opened. We see God's divine judgement on

  419. the world about to take place. This world that that you and I

  420. live in and know of this beautiful beach and place that

  421. we live. Guess what?

  422. The judgement of God is about to fall this planet.

  423. Jesus said things are going to happen in this world.

  424. They have never ever happened before.

  425. They're going to terrify people. Now.

  426. When he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and

  427. the 24 elders fell down before the lamb, each having a harp.

  428. So they've got a harp or a liar playing and a golden.

  429. They've got a harp and a lice. And so they've got one hand,

  430. they've got 1/2 and the other, they've got a golden balls full

  431. of incense. What are they?

  432. Look, which are the prayers of the Saints?

  433. Our prayers. We're in this as Jesus takes the

  434. scroll, the four living creatures, the 24 elders falling

  435. down on their faces in reverent, overwhelming worship before the

  436. Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, and they burst into praise.

  437. Each one has a harp, A lyre being played.

  438. Music fills the heaven in the hands of the elders who

  439. represent the church. They have the balls filled with

  440. our prayers are your prayers. Are you a praying person?

  441. If you're not well, you've got nothing to do with this.

  442. But if you're a praying person, then this these balls are filled

  443. with your prayers. When we gather on a Wednesday,

  444. we refill. We load up the balls each

  445. Wednesday when we gather of these prayers, these balls,

  446. which are going to be in Revelation chapter 5 and they

    Revelation 5 chapter mention

  447. what do your prayers do? They rise up like incense.

  448. You know what they that is you, you know, you get that.

  449. Oh, that's lovely incense. Remember when the alabaster

  450. Brock box, the flask was broken and the scent when you pray, God

  451. goes, oh, that's good, that's good.

  452. As you pray, that's good. These are the prayers of every

  453. praying St who had all the living days prayed and

  454. proclaimed and we used to do it every Friday at promise school,

  455. our Father, we used to do the Lord's pray our Father who is in

  456. heaven hallowed be your name. What does it say after that your

  457. Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven and

  458. fills that ball. Verse 9 it says and they sang a

  459. new song. When Jesus took the scroll, the

  460. weeping ended and the worship started.

  461. Donald Grey Barnhouse said on this passage there are four

  462. things at the moment that are out of place as we look at the

  463. last days. He says, 1 the church, it should

  464. be in heaven where it belongs. That's where it is in chapter 5.

  465. Israel now should be occupying all the land God promised

  466. Abraham, but it isn't three. Satan, who's ruling the world at

  467. the moment should be cast into the lake of fire.

  468. That's where he belongs. That's where he's going to end

  469. up. And Jesus, Jerusalem, Jesus

  470. should be seated on his throne in Jerusalem reigning.

  471. He's going to do that in the thousand year reign at the end

  472. of the seven year tribulation. So the golden balls that contain

  473. the prayers of the Saints reveal in our text that God one

  474. remembers our prayers. Do you know that God remembers

  475. you when you pray? I don't remember when you

  476. prayed. Psalm 56, eight talks about our

  477. tears. You number my wanderings.

  478. You put my tears into your bottle.

  479. Are they not in your book? Now in Israel you can see these

  480. little tear bottles and they would, they would weep, they

  481. would capture the tears and cork them.

  482. They would wear them around their necks.

  483. In Revelation 5, we're told our prayers are kept, we're kept in

  484. heaven in a bowl. I think that's quite amazing.

  485. Nothing is wasted by God. Now around our house we have

  486. some things that people think, why you got that there?

  487. What's that strange looking thing?

  488. There are things that our children have made when they're

  489. young and now that our grandchildren are doing the same

  490. and we have things and you know what?

  491. They're the treasures of our house.

  492. I look at them, I go, I know who made that.

  493. Sometimes even the kids kind of go, oh, it's a bit rough,

  494. especially as they grow older, but not to us.

  495. Well, God treats your prayers. Every time you've prayed, it's

  496. something precious and he keeps it and he remembers it.

  497. Why? Because he loves you dearly.

  498. He loves you dearly. Verse 9 and they sang a new song

  499. saying you are worthy, befitting worth to take the scroll and to

  500. open its seals for you are slain and have redeemed us to God.

  501. How by your blood out of every tribe.

  502. Notice this tongue, people and nation and have made us kings.

  503. We will rule in the millennial period and priests, we will

  504. serve God during the millennial period and for eternity, and we

  505. will reign upon the earth. You and I raptured.

  506. Now the Saints in heaven are singing a new song because this

  507. is you guys. This Is Us.

  508. We're talking about us. This is our future.

  509. It's quite, quite amazing. We're singing a new song to the

  510. Lamb with the lyrics of the song we will sing.

  511. We proclaim and declare the worthiness of God.

  512. This is what worship is all about.

  513. The word worship is the word proscunio.

  514. It means to kiss, to kiss toward, to kiss the hand of.

  515. It's to give proclamation and praise to he who is worthy.

  516. It's the worthiness of God that is worship.

  517. He says for you were slain. This is what we sing in the

  518. literal Greek for you were slain.

  519. It is, we would say in the English, you were butchered.

  520. That's what the word says. The other word that it means is

  521. you were slaughtered. That's part of the song that

  522. we'll sing. Jesus was not just killed, He

  523. was sacrificed on the cross. This was the price of your and

  524. my redemption. Grace is free, but it's not

  525. cheap. How do you treat the great gift

  526. of salvation that God has made available to you?

  527. And notice this and have redeemed us to God by your

  528. blood. Notice this wording out of every

  529. tribe, tongue, people and nation.

  530. Who's this? Who's this group?

  531. It can only be one group. This is why the church fits

  532. description. Only the church can fit this

  533. description because this is a powerful additional evidence

  534. telling us the church will be in heaven because we're from every

  535. tribe, every tongue, and every nation.

  536. It's not saying Israel. Then I looked verse 11.

  537. I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living

  538. creatures, and the elders. A number of them was 10,000 *

  539. 10,000 and thousands of thousands, thousands.

  540. The word used to describe the number of angels is the word

  541. myriad. You've heard that myriad.

  542. Myriad is the highest numerical word in the Greek language.

  543. There's so many angels, I can't number them.

  544. Now the Bible talks about numbering this, the sand on the

  545. sea, the grains of sand and the stars, but you can't number the

  546. many Here verse 12 saying with a loud voice, worthy is the Lamb

  547. who was slain to receive power, riches and wisdom, strength and

  548. honour, glory and blessing. The Saints notice this were the

  549. ones singing, while the angels were the ones saying why mention

  550. this angels not singing? But what about Christmas Eve

  551. isn't you know, when the angels appeared and they go, oh,

  552. singing to the to the shepherds in the fields of Bethlehem?

  553. Luke 213 says suddenly there was with the angels a multitude of

  554. the heavenly post host praising God and saying, saying here in

  555. chapter 5 of Revelation we sing you and I sing the song of

  556. redemption, which the angels do not and cannot because they're

  557. not redeemed. The angels join with us to

  558. praise God, to rejoice in Him, but they Can't Sing about

  559. redemption. They speak words of praise.

  560. The angels are not the recipients of salvation.

  561. It's for the redemption of fallen mankind, but not for

  562. fallen angels and every creature which is in heaven and on the

  563. earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea and all

  564. that are in them. I heard saying blessing and

  565. honour and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne to

  566. the Lamb forever and ever. Then the four living creatures

  567. said Amen, the cherubim to go, Amen.

  568. That's it, Absolutely. The 24 elders, what do they do?

  569. They fall down again, worship Him who lives forever and ever.

  570. The cherubim say Amen. The 24 elders fall down and

  571. worship. Amen means so be it.

  572. That's the truth. The Saints are singing and the

  573. angels are agreeing. But as we turn our gaze back to

  574. earth as all this is happening, you know what's happening back

  575. on earth. Because remember, our vantage

  576. point during the Tribulation period is in heaven.

  577. We look back to earth, the things that are happening on

  578. earth. You know what's happening on

  579. earth. Jesus said these things will be

  580. happening at this time. But as the days of Noah, so also

  581. will be the coming of the Son of Man be.

  582. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating,

  583. drinking, marrying, giving in marriage until the day that Noah

  584. entered the ark and did not know until the flood came and took

  585. them all away. So also will be the coming of

  586. the Son of Man Be. In other words, the church is

  587. raptured, we're in heaven, we're glorifying God, praising God.

  588. The elders are falling down. Cherubim going.

  589. Amen. You know what's going on?

  590. Coffee. Yeah.

  591. Lovely wedding. Yeah.

  592. That's good. The other footy.

  593. Yeah. What's that?

  594. What's that? That's the reality.

  595. Do you know what's coming? As sure as death and taxes,

  596. these events in Revelation Chapter 5 are going to occur.

    Revelation 5 chapter mention

  597. As sure as death and taxes, as sure as the sun coming up

  598. tomorrow, these events are going to occur.

  599. A farmer, godly man, had a visitor visit with him from the

  600. city, stayed over with him as they were eating supper that

  601. night for tea. The farmer said oh let's pray.

  602. The visitor quietly laughs, praying this is that's how I

  603. tainted old fashioned man. Anyone with an education knows

  604. that you don't pray anymore, especially in public.

  605. That's just foolish. Well, the farmer replied, Yes, I

  606. know that it is old fashioned. Old fashioned to some, and there

  607. are some even on my farm who don't do this, don't agree.

  608. They refuse to do it. Many don't worship or pray for

  609. that matter. Really, said the visitor.

  610. Well, at least some are enlightened here on the farm.

  611. I'd like to meet him. Just who are the wise ones?

  612. There's a farmer reached over to grab the salt.

  613. He says Oh my pigs, put the soul on his meal.

  614. These events we've studied are going to happen as sure as death

  615. and taxes. Know them, study them, look

  616. forward to them or fear them. Are you ready for heaven?

  617. Details exactly. This is all about us.

  618. Have you received Christ as your Saviour today?

  619. God speaks to you through his word.

  620. This book, the Book of Revelation, is why I came to

  621. Christ, because I knew in my heart this world Jesus is coming

  622. back. I didn't know how and what and

  623. where, but I knew that part. Where do you sit?

  624. Will you be on earth, running, swimming, surfing, golfing,

  625. going about your business as normal, and you will not know

  626. that the Lord has come?
