  1. Would you please open your Bibles to the Book of Revelation

    Revelation 10 chapter mention

  2. chapter 10 please? The title of this morning's

  3. message is A Bittersweet Message from God.

  4. A bittersweet message from God in our journey through the Book

  5. of Revelation, we come to, we've had the 7th seals, we're in the

  6. trumpets now we come to a particular passage where there's

  7. three messages we're going to look at this morning. 3

  8. messages, a message from God to John the Apostle.

  9. John is on the island of Patmos. He's in his late 90s, nineties.

  10. He's caught up on the Lord's Day, has his vision, and he

  11. begins writing down all the things that he sees.

  12. And this is what we're reading today, the vision that God

  13. revealed to him. And then we'll see that God has

  14. a bittersweet message for the world during the Tribulation

  15. period. And that is a world that is

  16. against God, rejecting God, a world that is going through the

  17. judgement of God. Cataclysmic events are falling

  18. upon the planet. Half of the population is now

  19. gone, leaving around 4 billion people only and less.

  20. And then there is a message to you and I third part, final

  21. message, a bittersweet message to you and I this morning,

  22. August 2025 here in Secret Harbour.

  23. Throughout the Book of Revelation, angels are spoken of

  24. more than 70 times. Angels are God's messengers.

  25. And this morning we're introduced to another mighty

  26. Angel. It says coming down from heaven.

  27. Let's look at verse one. I saw still another mighty

  28. Angel. So notice the the description of

  29. this Angel. This is no ordinary Angel coming

  30. down from heaven clothed with a cloud.

  31. A rainbow was on his head, his face.

  32. John is describing him. His face is like the sun.

  33. It's so bright. Brightness because he's been

  34. before the throne of God, like Moses.

  35. When Moses went up and met God, Moses came down and put a veil

  36. over his face, not because it was too bright, but because the

  37. the brightness was fading away. His face was glowing.

  38. The Angel, the here, this mighty Angel, his face is glowing

  39. because he's been in the presence of God and his feet

  40. like pillars of fire. And he had a little book open in

  41. his hand. This is how big he is.

  42. And he set his right foot on the sea.

  43. This is a very large Angel and he's left foot on the land, so

  44. he's huge. And he cried with a loud voice.

  45. How loud, Just like a lion roars.

  46. It's loud like a Ryan, a lion. And when he cried out, seven

  47. thunders uttered their voices. Now when the seven thunders

  48. uttered their voices, I was about to write down.

  49. John is about to write down what he's hearing and what he's

  50. seeing. But then I heard a voice from

  51. heaven, from the throne of God, saying to me, seal up the things

  52. which the seven thunders uttered, the things that the

  53. Angel and the seven thunders uttered.

  54. Don't write them down. Don't write them down.

  55. This mighty Angel has a little book in his hands.

  56. I believe it's still a scroll, but the scroll is smaller now

  57. because the we've had the seven seals.

  58. We're nearly through the seven trumpets.

  59. The seven balls are starting to come.

  60. So it's getting smaller. He has a loud voices when a lion

  61. roars. Now Helen and I had an

  62. experience which was frightening.

  63. We went to Singapore quite a number of years ago.

  64. And at night we went through the Singapore Zoo and you hop on a

  65. little train sort of thing and go around the zoo.

  66. And we stopped where the lion was king of the jungle.

  67. And there's no fence. It's just like a a bit of a gap.

  68. And the lions kind of like where that doorway is.

  69. And it was at night. And the lion roared.

  70. And I thought it was terrifying. It was the loudest terrifying

  71. thing I ever heard. And I thought, he can jump.

  72. That's not very far. And I felt like a sardine in a

  73. can. So I pushed Helen over there and

  74. said, Helen, you need to pray now.

  75. Seriously. It was the loudest.

  76. It it was terrifying. So this is what John's hearing

  77. the mind of this this this Angel crying out, is this the Lord

  78. Jesus? Some Bible commentators say it

  79. is. I disagree.

  80. I believe the Bible tells us it's not.

  81. Jesus Christ is not anywhere described as an Angel in the

  82. Book of Revelation. He is Lord of the angels, using

  83. them to execute his judgement and purposes on the earth.

  84. Also, this Angel, you'll note it describes in the context and

  85. that's what we need to see. What does the text tell us?

  86. What is the truth of the text? It says he's described as

  87. another mighty Angel. It's pretty clear then, which

  88. means he is another of the same kind of the Angel, the seven

  89. trumpets, 7 angels that were given the seven trumpets.

  90. So he's he's another Angel. We're told that this mighty

  91. Angel has 1 foot on the sea and these other on the land,

  92. picturing the sovereignty of God's authority over all that is

  93. on the land. He has gone as control of the

  94. oceans, which covers 3/4 of the earth and over the and all over

  95. the land pieces, the seal judgements have taken place

  96. beginning with the four horsemen.

  97. And here we have come to another interlude, a a pause during the

  98. judgments. And this scroll contains the

  99. remaining judgments still yet to fall upon the earth because

  100. remember, John is now describing, he's caught up into

  101. heaven. Chapter 4 describes the throne

  102. of God, Chapter 5 where they're with them praising the Lord.

  103. And now so he's looking down upon the earth.

  104. The judgments that are coming down upon the earth.

  105. He's not looking up and describing the judgments.

  106. So these are the judgments yet to fall upon the earth.

  107. And a voice from heaven, from the throne of God is heard by

  108. both John and the mighty Angel as John is about to write down

  109. what he heard the seven thunders say and what he's seeing before

  110. him. So that's the first point of

  111. taking notes. It's a message for John.

  112. He says, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from heaven

  113. saying to me, Seal up the things.

  114. Don't write them which the seven thunders uttered.

  115. Do not write them, John. Don't write down the things

  116. which you just heard, which the seven thunders uttered.

  117. Instead seal them up. These are the only words in the

  118. Book of Revelation, we are told that are sealed.

  119. What was spoken, what was said, we have no idea.

  120. Don't guess I hate Bible studies and people gathering.

  121. So what do you think the seven thunders were the 7th seals.

  122. I think they were talking about the Wallabies finally winning

  123. against the British Lions. You could be right.

  124. Don't go when the Bible is silent.

  125. Be silent. Don't get into a habit or to a

  126. spin a thon. What do we think it says?

  127. What It doesn't matter what you think it says.

  128. It doesn't say anything. So we're not told they're sealed

  129. up. Don't bother with that.

  130. The message in verse 4 is for John only.

  131. Then verse 5, the Angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on

  132. the land, raised up his hand to heaven, swore by him who lives

  133. forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are

  134. in it. That's the Lord, the earth and

  135. the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are

  136. in it that there should be. Here's the message.

  137. The lie no longer. The the lie no longer.

  138. It's time. Now he's swearing by heaven, the

  139. mighty Angel. This mighty Angel raises his

  140. hand to heaven. It's believed the practise of

  141. swearing on the Bible in a court of law to speak the truth comes

  142. from this very passage of Scripture.

  143. The Angel swears by the Creator, emphasising God's authority

  144. behind what is about to take place.

  145. God will not lie. God is not a man that he should

  146. lie. The Bible says the end is

  147. coming. We're part way through the

  148. tribulation period. Then lie no longer.

  149. You know, all of human history operates according to divine

  150. plan. In Psalm 135, verse 6, the Bible

    Psalms 135:6

  151. says whatever the Lord pleases, He does in heaven and in earth,

  152. in the seas, and in all deep places.

  153. Now, up to this point, and we're in the Tribulation period, the

  154. church has been raptured, judgements have fallen.

  155. We've had the seven seals. The Antichrist is there, yet the

  156. world is still not repenting of their sins.

  157. It's still living in rebellion. But up to this time, God has

  158. been very patient. He's been long suffering.

  159. What does that mean? Suffering long with what's going

  160. on in the earth to a lost world at this time in the Tribulation

  161. period. You know that patience, which is

  162. a fruit, part of the fruit of the Spirit is also part of the

  163. character of God. It's who he is, what he, what's

  164. he's made up of. In the book of Nehemiah, Chapter

    Nehemiah 9:17

  165. 9, verse 17, Nehemiah writes, but you are God ready to pardon.

  166. You know that God is always ready for you to repent.

  167. I believe that last song that we sang this morning, that the

  168. words of that song, the impact of that song was for some of you

  169. here this morning, you've lived dangerously.

  170. You've been doing things that you shouldn't be doing.

  171. And God in that last song, and you know it by the Holy Spirit

  172. was convicting you and saying, I know about you, I know what

  173. you've done, but I love you. But you need to repent, not

  174. tomorrow, right now where you are.

  175. You need to repent right now of what the things that you've

  176. said, the things that you've done, the things that you've

  177. sought not to leave it after, not to put it behind and then go

  178. away. Now, as we sang that song, I was

  179. moved while the Holy Spirit to say what I'm saying now, that

  180. repentance is what you need to do.

  181. Now the Bible tells us that repentance is not just how we

  182. get saved, but in one, John 19 and 10, it tells us that

  183. repentance is also for you and I as believers, you know, we can

  184. wander off, we can stumble, we can sin before God.

  185. We can say the wrong thing. We can be a horrible husband, a

  186. horrible wife, a terrible father, a terrible mother, a

  187. disappointing son or a daughter. We can do those things, but the

  188. beauty of God and his grace to a believer is that if you would

  189. just repent right now and believe and ask Jesus Christ to

  190. forgive you right now of what you've done and don't cover it

  191. up. Don't snow job it don't go well.

  192. I was a bit angry. I said things that I shouldn't

  193. have said No, say it like it is God.

  194. I I said wicked things. I did some wicked acts, say it

  195. like it is because that's the reality of it.

  196. But as you do that, the Bible says in one John 9 and 10, He is

  197. faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us of all our

  198. unrighteousness. Right this moment where you are,

  199. you can come in with a load of sin and you can cast it away

  200. right this moment if you'll do what the Holy Spirit ask you to

  201. do. And so God is always ready to to

  202. pardon. Nehemiah 917 but you are God

  203. ready to pardon Now it says of God, this is his character,

  204. gracious, merciful, slow to anger, abundant in kindness, and

  205. did not forsake them. And he was speaking specifically

  206. there to the nation of Israel. In Psalm 103, verse 8, the

    Psalms 103:8

  207. psalmist writes the Lord is and it's the description of God, His

  208. character, the Lord is merciful. What is mercy?

  209. Not getting judgement, getting what you don't deserve.

  210. The Lord is merciful and gracious, gracious, slow to

  211. anger, abounding in mercy, abounding in mercy.

  212. But Psalm always says, Psalmist always says, right, that God's

  213. mercy is what new every morning it's fresh, it's waiting for

  214. you. Psalm 145 verse 8 says the Lord

    Psalms 145:8

  215. is gracious, gracious and full of compassion.

  216. When Jesus saw the crowd coming towards him, thousands and

  217. thousands and they hadn't eaten, it says his stomach ache.

  218. He went, oh, look at these poor people, sheep without a

  219. shepherd. We got to feed them, we got to

  220. care for them. That's the God that you worship.

  221. Slow to anger, great mercy. Now, many people have a twisted

  222. mindset of what God is like. People who have an incorrect

  223. mindset of what God is like. This only comes from an

  224. ignorance of the Bible. When I hear people speak to me

  225. about what they believe God is like or they say something, they

  226. might even go to church a lot, but they're not reading the

  227. Bible. The only church doesn't make you

  228. a Christian. No, no more than going to

  229. McDonald's. Make sure a big whopper having a

  230. twisted mindset of what God is like comes from and ignorance of

  231. the Bible. When I began to read the Bible,

  232. and I mean seriously read it, Not just a bit here and a bit

  233. there, spin the wheel bit there, bit there, but read through it

  234. book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, I found

  235. out that God is always saying His grace, His mercy.

  236. It starts in Genesis and goes all the way through the

  237. revelation, grace and mercy. I find out that there's very

  238. little that I have to do, that all I have to do is accept God's

  239. graciousness and His love and that the Bible is 99.9

  240. recurring, telling me what God has done for me.

  241. And so people who have a twisted mindset of what God is like are

  242. people who are ignorant of God's word, never read God's word,

  243. because as you read the Bible, you can't have that mindset.

  244. People think that he is just waiting to judge us all.

  245. God's, you know, if I go to church, the walls are falling.

  246. No, but he doesn't want us to enjoy life.

  247. He just wants me to, you know, be boring and dull.

  248. And that's what church is about. Now, if that's what church is

  249. about for you, you're not, you're not born again.

  250. You don't know the Spirit of God because Jesus has come to give

  251. you life and that abundantly. But this could not be further

  252. from the truth, especially if you look at the life of Jesus

  253. Christ, how he lived. What is God like?

  254. Philip says Jesus, can you just give us a snapshot, do a

  255. drawing, pull out a, you know, have you got a camera shot or a

  256. photo of what the Father's like? Philip, have I been so long with

  257. you? If you've seen me, you've seen

  258. the Father. So what is God like?

  259. Read the Gospels. How did Jesus live, how he

  260. loved? Who did He love?

  261. He loved everyone else, everyone that everyone else rejected, and

  262. how he died. How did he die as a suffering

  263. servant, sacrificing, not thinking of himself, but

  264. obedient unto the Father, even unto death?

  265. The cross of Calvary speaks loudly of God's love for you and

  266. his desire that you have life abundantly.

  267. You see, if you think well, you know, but for getting into

  268. church too much, for being reading the Bible too much, you

  269. know, my life is just. I got, I got life.

  270. Now you're missing the point. You don't know God, you don't

  271. know the Bible, you don't know the truth.

  272. The cross of Calvary speaks loudly of God's love for you,

  273. and God's desire is that you have life abundantly.

  274. You think you've got a good now? No, you don't.

  275. If you don't know Christ, you don't have life like you think

  276. you can have. We settle for what we think is

  277. good. God has a life that will blow

  278. your mind when you give your life to Him and allow Him to

  279. guide you and to use you. He wants to give you eternal

  280. life, that life forever if you'll receive it.

  281. But there comes a time, and this is happening in the period of

  282. the tribulation where we're at now, when a person's rebellion

  283. against the Lord and their constant, constant refusal to

  284. repent of their sins eventually brings judgement upon

  285. themselves. They bring judgement upon

  286. themselves. In Genesis chapter 6, verse 3,

    Genesis 6:3

  287. prior to the flood, it says, and the Lord said, My Spirit shall

  288. not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh.

  289. In other words, you can't just go on living in sin and God just

  290. go, I'm not going to do anything.

  291. It says. Then the Lord saw that the

  292. wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent

  293. of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

  294. And the Lord was sorry in the old king Jimmy, it says,

  295. repented, was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and God

  296. was grieved in his heart. He's a loving father.

  297. So the Lord said, I'll destroy man whom I've created from the

  298. face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping things, birds of

  299. the air, for I am sorry that I've made them.

  300. In the book of Romans, chapter one, verse 22, it speaks of the

  301. world today. That is, we see it in mass

  302. protests, protesting for a terrorist group called Hamas.

  303. Can't fathom that. Who's been to the Holocaust

  304. Museum here, arms up next to a group that's going to Israel.

  305. We're going there. How could this ever happen

  306. again? How could such vile venomous

  307. hatred be against the people of Israel?

  308. How could the Holocaust it could happen once again.

  309. How could this stirring be about because there's a spiritual war

  310. going on in Romans chapter one verse 22, people professing to

  311. be wise. It says they became fools and

  312. change the glory of the incorruptible God into an image

  313. made like corruptible man and they began to worship the birds,

  314. 4 footed animals, creeping things and Mother Nature.

  315. It says in Romans one verse 24, because of the repressing of the

  316. truth, I don't want God, I'll worship my God my way.

  317. Because of that God says OK verse 24.

  318. Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness.

  319. You want to live that way is the worst thing that can happen that

  320. God allows you to live that way that you you feel no conscience

  321. anymore. Your conscience is seared.

  322. You don't care about your immorality.

  323. You don't care about what you put into your body.

  324. Then it says in verse 26, for this reason again, God gave them

  325. up to vile passions. People think, well look, on the

  326. way that I'm living, if God was real, he would strike me down.

  327. How foolish that is. When men and women persistently

  328. abandoned God, Eventually there is a line God will abandoned

  329. them. When God abandons men and women

  330. to their own devices, His protection is withdrawn, His

  331. restraining and protective hand upon their lives is withdrawn,

  332. and then allows the consequences of their sin to take their

  333. inevitable destructive course. What's the consequences of sin?

  334. The wages of sin is death. Wherever sin is operating in

  335. your life, whenever you're operating in that area, it's

  336. going to die. It's going to rot.

  337. Sin degrades man. It devices the image of God who

  338. you made it. It strips.

  339. Man, woman, of their dignity. It removes.

  340. Any Peace of Mind? And you have no clear.

  341. Conscience. It says God gave.

  342. Over. That's the Greek word

  343. parodynamo. It's an intense.

  344. Verb. The word is used in.

  345. The New Testament of giving one's body to be burned totally

  346. it's the same word Paul used in one Corinthians 13 three it says

  347. and though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I

  348. give my body an intense. To be burned, but I have not

  349. loved. It profits me nothing.

  350. It's the same word used also in a judicial sense.

  351. Of a man. Being committed to prison

  352. judgement. Mark 1/14.

  353. Now, after John was put in prison, given over, Jesus came

  354. to Galilee. So that's the message to John.

  355. Don't write these things down, John.

  356. And now there's a message to the world, to the fallen world, a

  357. Christ rejecting world. How bad is this world?

  358. Let's go back. Just remind us of who this

  359. message is to back in Chapter 9. Look with me to verse 20.

  360. Read along. But the rest of mankind, and

  361. that is after all the judgments that occurred, the demonic

  362. beings had come out. The rest of mankind who were not

  363. killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their

  364. hands, that they should not worship demons and idols of God,

  365. silver, brass, and stone and wood, which can neither see nor

  366. hear nor walk. And they did not repent of their

  367. murders or their sorceries member Pharmakia, their drug

  368. abuse or their sexual immorality or their thefts, stealing.

  369. They didn't repent. These are people on the earth at

  370. this moment. They don't care what God does.

  371. They're not quitting living an evil life.

  372. So now this message, the Angel has this for these people.

  373. The 7th trumpet is about to sound.

  374. The final judgments are about to unfold.

  375. No more delay. This at this point is.

  376. God's message to a rebellious hearted world it says in verse

  377. 7. But in the days of the sounding

  378. of the 7th Angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of

  379. God would be finished, as He declared to His servants and the

  380. prophets. Therefore, the mystery.

  381. Of God would be finished, we'll go.

  382. What is that? Now in the Old Testament.

  383. The word mystery often referred to Old Testament plans and

  384. purposes not previously understood but are explained in

  385. the New Testament. For example, the church is not

  386. in the Old Testament. It was a mystery.

  387. The prophets didn't see you and I.

  388. The church was a mystery revealed in the New Testament.

  389. Another example was God's plan of salvation to include

  390. Gentiles, people who weren't Jewish.

  391. But it was not understood how Gentiles, non Jewish, not part

  392. of God's chosen people, Israel, could be saved.

  393. How is that possible? But now in the.

  394. New Testament. We know now that Christ's death

  395. and resurrection provided forgiveness.

  396. The vile was torn open, the temple came destroyed later, and

  397. the door was open for all to come to Christ, To come to the

  398. Father through Christ, through the forgiveness of sins,

  399. salvation to all hell because of your birthright.

  400. I'm Jewish. No, had nothing to do with that.

  401. Paul talked to that all throughout his letters,

  402. particularly in Romans. Whether Jew or Gentile, that

  403. doesn't count anymore. The Book of Acts chapter. 10 our

  404. first port of call on our tour. We leave where we're staying.

  405. We head straight to Caesarea. Caesarea was where the Roman

  406. soldiers lived and the Roman heads, captains, etcetera, lived

  407. in Caesarea. We head up from Joppa from where

  408. we are, head up to Caesarea. And as we come to Caesarea, it's

  409. the location of Acts chapter 10. In Acts chapter 10 verse 34, you

Acts 10 chapter mention Acts 10:34

  410. remember Peter down in Joppa, He's he's having a snooze on the

  411. top of Simon the tennis house. We go to Simon the tennis house

  412. in Joppa. How do we know it's Simon the

  413. tennis house? Because it's the only house in

  414. Joppa which is looks a lot like the Fremantle Fish Markets

  415. Joppa. It's the only house that has its

  416. own well and you need water to do tanning.

  417. So Peter is on the top of Simon the Tanner's house having a

  418. snooze and memory sees that blanket come down, take, eat,

  419. and there's all the stuff on there.

  420. And he says I'm not eating that, I can't eat that.

  421. And eventually God tells me, no, no, what I call clean don't you

  422. call unclean. Then someone knocks on the door.

  423. Hey, come with us. Peter heads up.

  424. The Joppa comes to Caesarea. And then Peter arrives and he

  425. comes to a Roman Cornelius of the Italian band, Roman Soldier.

  426. Peter's there. He's LED because God's told him

  427. to go there. And it says in verse 34 and

  428. Peter opened his mouth and said in truth, I perceive that God

  429. shows no partiality. In other words, salvation has

  430. gone beyond the Jews, but in every nation, whoever, whoever

  431. fears God and works righteousness is accepted by

  432. him. The Word which God sent to the

  433. children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ.

  434. He is Lord of all. While Peter was still speaking

  435. these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who had

  436. gathered to hear the word in Caesarea.

  437. Those of the circumcision Jews who believed were astonished, as

  438. many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had

  439. been poured out on the Gentiles. And for they heard them.

  440. Speak with tongues and magnify God.

  441. And Peter answered, can anyone forbid water that these should

  442. be baptised who have received the Holy Spirit just as us, and

  443. he commanded them to be baptised in the name of the Lord.

  444. So that's the mystery wasn't told in the Old Testament.

  445. This mystery, the mystery here in the Book of Revelation refers

  446. to the last days, the second coming of Jesus Christ and the

  447. establishment of God's Kingdom on the earth, the thousand year

  448. reign which will occur when Jesus returns his second coming.

  449. Revelation chapter 19. Now the tribulation is often

    Revelation 19 chapter mention

  450. called and referred to in the Old Testament as the day of the

  451. Lord, the day of Jacob's trouble.

  452. It's spoken of in the Old Testament, whereas the rapture

  453. of the church it's not spoken in the Old Testament.

  454. But as a mystery. Revealed in the New Testament,

  455. as Paul tells us in one Corinthians 1551 behold, I tell

  456. you a mystery, something new. We shall not all sleep and.

  457. Sleep is only. Mentioned to believers.

  458. It's never mentioned of non believers.

  459. Sleep. We shall not all sleep talking

  460. to Christians, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the

  461. twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.

  462. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised

  463. incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

  464. So the message we've had to John and a message to the world.

  465. The delay is. Over and now the message to us.

  466. Then the voice which I heard from heaven spoke to me again,

  467. and said, Go and take the little book, which is open in the hand

  468. of the Angel who stands on the sea and on the earth.

  469. So I went to the Angel, This is John speaking, and said to him,

  470. Give me the little book. And he said to me, Take, eat it.

  471. It will make your stomach. Bitter, but it will be sweet as

  472. honey in your mouth, so. I took the little book.

  473. Out of the angel's hand. And I ate it and it was sweet as

  474. honey in my mouth, yes, but when I had eaten it in my stomach it

  475. became bitter. And he said to me, You must

  476. prophecy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and

  477. kings. In Psalm 119, verse 103, David

    Psalms 119:103

  478. writes, How sweet are your words to my taste?

  479. Sweeter than honey to my mouth. You must prophecy.

  480. Again, it's the same word. The word must hear is the Greek

  481. word and it's pronounced die, just like die D i.e., but it's,

  482. it's spelled DEI, die. It's, it's a necessity, it's a

  483. duty. You've got to do this.

  484. You must prophecy. The voice from heaven, the voice

  485. of God now instructs John, take the book.

  486. The Angel tells John to eat it. John eats it.

  487. Initially it tastes sweet, but then as it hits his stomach and

  488. overwhelming bitterness strikes John.

  489. As you and I are. Ingesting this morning the Book

  490. of Revelation ourselves today in our hearts and in our minds.

  491. It's having the very same effect the word of God.

  492. It's sweet in our mouths. Keith how how do you mean that

  493. as we read, we grow excited don't in the Book of Revelation,

  494. you know what's going to happen. Christ soon coming.

  495. Maranatha, we so want the Lord to return to come back, don't

  496. we? We still want him to come back.

  497. We want him to judge the evil. I mean, that judge of the

  498. Supreme Court of Australia that allowed the protest to go ahead

  499. today, She's going to be judged. She's going to stand before the

  500. judge of judges and she'll be judged on that decision that

  501. she's allowed the Sydney Harbour Bridge to be closed and people

  502. to protest. Hamas a must.

  503. Supporting people to March across the Sydney Bridge, Sydney

  504. Harbour Bridge in protest. I can't fathom that.

  505. We want God to judge the evil of this world.

  506. We want God to get his hand on Satan and cast him down into the

  507. lake of fire. We want all the wrongs to be

  508. made right, don't we? But, and there's a big but.

  509. As we. Consume as we ponder, as we

  510. meditate, as we chew over and reflect upon the words of this

  511. prophetic book and the growing reality of the time in which we

  512. live. Never has Israel occupied the

  513. focus of the world. Even Australia now, I mean

  514. Starmer PM of England has said by September I'll recognise

  515. Palestine. Palestine doesn't exist.

  516. There's no such people as Palestinians.

  517. They're refugees from. All different nations.

  518. There's no Palestinian history, no Palestinian nation.

  519. Yet this is the plan of Satan and God's allowing it at this

  520. time. And as we we look at this and we

  521. see these events happening, the growing reality of the time in

  522. which we live, it's we're living in the last days.

  523. Things begin to grow bitter in our stomachs too, don't they?

  524. How? Because as we each personally

  525. realise that Christ returned, the rapture is at any moment

  526. there is no prophetic event that needs to occur.

  527. The Bible tells us before the rapture is to occur, the rapture

  528. is on hold. It's going to happen.

  529. At any moment, at the hour that God says now.

  530. The Great. Suffering unknown to our world

  531. like never before. Jesus says you have no idea

  532. what's going to hit. This world is about to fall upon

  533. the unsaved. Family members.

  534. We have don't know the Lord friends that we play sport with

  535. or or know across neighbourhood. Don't know the Lord, Classmates,

  536. work colleagues, sporting partners.

  537. The sweet truths. Begin to turn bitter in our

  538. stomachs because they don't know Christ.

  539. The judgments that are laid out here are going to fall upon

  540. those who. Do not know the Lord, but

  541. there's another reason. Also, why This is God's message

  542. for each of us gathered here this morning and those watching

  543. online. Verse 11.

  544. The Angel said to me, You must prophecy again about many

  545. peoples, nations, tongues, and kings.

  546. This is a reminder. To preachers and every believer,

  547. every born again believer that believes in the promises on the

  548. Word of God, we cannot compromise God's Word.

  549. God's word must be. Proclaimed.

  550. And here's the deal, No matter how it affects or.

  551. Offends people. I.

  552. Know people have come. Here and have been been offended

  553. upon me, but by the words of God you watch soon as we continue

  554. down that path. It happened to Israel Folau.

  555. It'll happen to every preacher who preaches the word of God.

  556. Should the Lord Tarry will be identified as those giving off

  557. hate speech. You know what hate speech is?

  558. Speaking the truth, that. People hate.

  559. John, you must prophecy. Again, we cannot compromise.

  560. We cannot be concerned about how it affects or offends people.

  561. Yes, however, we should always speak God's truth in love.

  562. Bible tells us that, of course. But there is too.

  563. Much compromise in too many pulpits of our churches across

  564. the Nation Today. John needed to.

  565. Complete his Commission from the Lord to record all the events

  566. destined for the last days. John did it.

  567. We have this in our hands today, the Book of Revelation as an.

  568. Exile. And Patmos John had no immediate

  569. opportunity to preach to all nations, but he was to write the

  570. prophecies and distribute them so as to warn all people of the.

  571. Bitterness of the. Judgments to come, and of death

  572. and hell. Have you ever mentioned hell?

  573. To a relative I. Don't want him to go.

  574. There, you know Jesus spoke more on hell than he did on heaven.

  575. Sinners everywhere. May know because John recorded

  576. these prophecies that whilst judgement is presently

  577. restrained. 2nd Thessalonians. Until the church is raptured, a

  578. future day is coming. When the 7th Angel.

  579. Will sound his trumpet. No more delay as commanded by

  580. the voice in heaven and sins. Dominion will be broken, the

  581. freedom of Satan and his demons will come to an end, and godless

  582. men will be judged and believers will be glorified so.

  583. Where does that leave you? And I 2025 August.

  584. You and I must. Remain faithful.

  585. To the proclamation. Of the good news on the

  586. surfboard, there is the Great Commission.

  587. Each and every one of us have been commanded by our Lord Jesus

  588. Christ to go into the world. That's the command to each and

  589. every one of us. Every one of us.

  590. And proclaim the gospel. To every creature.

  591. But you know, proclaiming the good news is also proclaiming

  592. the bad news of the gospel that if you reject Christ, do you

  593. know what will happen to you? It's a 2 edged sword, the word

  594. of God. We must.

  595. Include the bitter truths. Too many people come to church

  596. and they've never heard the word repentance or the need to

  597. repent. It's fascinating as you read the

  598. gospels as Jesus started his ministry.

  599. You know what his message was? Repent and believe.

  600. You know what he told his disciples to preach?

  601. Repent and believe. You know, it hasn't changed.

  602. You know, that's still the Great Commission.

  603. But to go into the world and tell people to repent and

  604. believe. It says, as written by John,

  605. that these words are for all people.

  606. Nations tongues. And kings all positions.

  607. That means every person, saved and unsaved, the gospel of Jesus

  608. Christ. Is very great.

  609. And it is good news. That's what the word gospel

  610. means. It's good news indeed to the

  611. person who receives it, repents and believes and surrenders

  612. their life to Jesus Christ. But it is also.

  613. The Book of Revelation. It's terrifying bad news.

  614. For the person. Who refuses to receive God's

  615. forgiveness and the sacrifice of his Son Jesus Christ.

  616. It's terrifying. Those who reject.

  617. The conviction of the Holy Spirit, and in doing so you

  618. commit the unforgivable sin. But Revelation?

  619. 10. Tells us we have a.

  620. Responsibility you must prophecy.

  621. To tell people that God. Does love them and that this is

  622. the truth of the matter. John 316 For God so loved the

  623. world, He doesn't want anyone to go into the Tribulation period.

  624. He would have all people. Come to knowledge of the of of

  625. the gospel of Christ. He finds.

  626. No death and no joy in the death of the wicked.

  627. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son,

  628. that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have

  629. everlasting life. Today there are far.

  630. Too many pulpits in our land and churches that are telling people

  631. that God loves them and that that's great, that's good, we

  632. know that's true. But they are not telling people

  633. they are sinners in need of a Saviour.

  634. As I reflect upon. This and I close this think

  635. about this. It is.

  636. Cruel and unloving, to allow sinners we know and careful.

  637. Not to know that each. One of us must repent and fall

  638. on our knees before God and seek His forgiveness.

  639. How could I do that? To remain quiet, To keep silent,

  640. to ignore, to share the gift of the good news of the Gospel to

  641. someone, when you think about it, is unthinkable.

  642. When we put it into. Perspective.

  643. Why? Would we not tell them because

  644. we know we've been there? Those of you have received

  645. Christ each Sinner, What do they do?

  646. They sit alone, broken, lost. And I don't know that.

  647. Jesus Christ died for them. It's the Great Commission.

  648. Just like the Apostle. John, as you and I consume the

  649. Word of God, we must speak the complete word, a truth that is

  650. bittersweet. Maybe you say, well, Keith, if I

  651. ever said that to my dad, to my mom, to my brother, to my

  652. sister, do this. Pray.

  653. Pray with all your heart. God give me an opportunity and

  654. then work out. To say it in love, I wrote my

  655. dad a. Letter in love I've spoken to my

  656. my brothers are older than I. They're in their 80s.

  657. And I've spoken to both of them in love.

  658. It's it's how you say it. It's how you wrap.

  659. It. And you share.

  660. Your heart, the heart of God. With them I cannot, cannot not

  661. say anything. How could?

  662. We and you know, it's interesting, you can't say them.

  663. And here's the deal. God wants them saved.

  664. Your vest, you're the vessel. It's the holy.

  665. Spirit that works upon their heart.

  666. It's not up to. Us in that sense, oh, you know,

  667. I've got to do this. It's you being open and being

  668. used by God. That's the Great Commission.

  669. Say it and love. Say it.

  670. Say it. We.

  671. Live in a. Time you can build memories.

  672. Don't build regrets. How often have you had God open

  673. the door for you with someone? You've gone.

  674. I didn't. God give me the courage.

  675. Let's exchange that. God increase my love for them to

  676. share the gospel. That is good news.
