  1. We're doing the final portion of Revelation 19 and obviously the

  2. title tonight is the second coming of Jesus Christ.

  3. We're going to do 11 verses 11 to 21.

  4. John sees heaven open again in chapter 19.

  5. We covered that on Sunday. And now in this passage he says

  6. in verse 11, Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a White

  7. Horse. He who sat on him was called

  8. faithful and true, and in righteousness he judges and

  9. makes war. John sees heaven open again.

  10. He sees the Lord now who is returning to earth.

  11. Now you and I walk this earth. We live in this world.

  12. Some of you, many of you have been to Israel.

  13. Well, we've walked in his footsteps.

  14. Well, he's going to make brand new footsteps at the end of the

  15. tribulation period. His feet will again walk this

  16. earth that we live in. The real Jesus, Jesus, Son of

  17. God, will walk the earth, breathe the air that we have.

  18. Remember back in chapter 4 after chapter 2 and three, obviously

  19. the period of the churches in chapter 4, heaven open and John

  20. saw the throne of God, which was symbolic of the rapture of the

  21. church because from that time on, the church is not mentioned

  22. now until we're going to see it appear again, the bride of

  23. Christ, Chapter 19 in chapter 19 tonight, heaven opens and Jesus

  24. comes out. He is returning and he's

  25. returning. Remember, just as he promised.

  26. This is a thing that you and I got to realise.

  27. Jesus said to his disciples, and we often look at the sobs go,

  28. you know, why didn't you guys believe that Jesus was going to

  29. come from the dead? You and I look back and we go,

  30. they're pretty thick, aren't they?

  31. They were dumb. I mean he how many times did he

  32. say, well maybe you and I tonight.

  33. How many times has God in His Word told you and I that He is

  34. coming back again? Do we go I don't know what

  35. happens when Jesus returns the second time?

  36. Firstly, Bible prophecies fulfilled the greater part of

  37. all Bible prophecy and remember we read back in verse 10 worship

  38. God for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

  39. The greater part of Bible prophecy has been preparing us,

  40. pointing us to the second coming of Christ at the end of the age.

  41. When did it all start? Well, biblically we would say

  42. Genesis chapter 3, we were told there's one coming.

    Genesis 3 chapter mention

  43. He's going to fix everything. The second coming of Christ is

  44. coming at the end of the age. The second coming of Christ is

  45. mentioned 1800 times in the Old Testament.

  46. It's mentioned 300 times in the New Testament.

  47. It's referred to in 27 of the 66 books, 27 of the Old Testament

  48. books. It is referred to in 23 of the

  49. New Testament books. In the New Testament alone, one

  50. out of every 25 verses refers to the second coming of Jesus.

  51. And you got to ask yourself, why don't churches speak about the

  52. coming of the Lord? Must be they're not going

  53. through the Bible. Must be they're not teaching the

  54. Bible because you can't go through the Bible and not and,

  55. and, and miss how many times it's been said.

  56. I got to tell you, I grew up in a traditional church, went there

  57. as a kid, never heard about it. It was the very fact that I

  58. heard how long I'd been married, a year.

  59. And we heard of the second coming of Christ and something

  60. the Holy Spirit grabbed our hearts.

  61. We didn't know then. And we went, so he's coming

  62. back. How do I know when he's coming

  63. back? What would he look like?

  64. What will happen when he comes back?

  65. What do I need to know? And the Holy Spirit drove us to

  66. the word of God. We got saved and that's not

  67. changed since 1977, and since 1977, Helen and I have lived

  68. each day expecting the Lord to come.

  69. For every prophecy on Christ's first coming, there are 8

  70. prophecies on his second coming. When Jesus Jesus returns at this

  71. time, 4 things will happen. I'll give them to you if you're

  72. taking notes. 1 The Saints will be glorified 2 creation Romans

    Romans 8 chapter mention

  73. chapter 8 remember has been groaning, groaning.

  74. It's out of whack. Our world is out of whack.

  75. The animals, you know, we you want to get you see the the

  76. birds. You want to get close to a bird

  77. and they're frightened of you. You just want to pet them.

  78. You see a lion, you don't want to get anywhere near a lion.

  79. The world is out of whack. Well, creation which has been

  80. groaning will be liberated, things will change, the devil

  81. will be defeated. And fourthly, Jesus will

  82. personally rule and reign here on earth.

  83. And where will he rule and reign?

  84. Jerusalem, the existing Jerusalem.

  85. Revelation 19 verse 11. Now I John saw heaven opened and

    Revelation 19:11

  86. behold a White Horse, and he capital H who sat on him was

  87. called faithful and true and in righteousness he judges and

  88. makes war. Now so that's a a different

  89. picture of General Jesus meek and mile patting all the little

  90. kids on the head. It says he judges and makes war.

  91. As heaven opens, the first thing John sees is a White Horse with

  92. a rider called faithful and true.

  93. So yes, talking to one of our grandkids this week, she asked,

  94. will there be animals in heaven? I've got to go and tell her to

  95. read this passage. Yes, and I don't like horses

  96. myself. Grew up on a stable.

  97. I think horses are the dumbest animal in the world.

  98. I'm not a horse lover. I think I go, I won't go any

  99. further about horses, just a lot of loving horses, people around.

  100. But horses, there will be horses in heaven.

  101. How can we say that? Because it says it.

  102. It says it here. The first thing John sees is a

  103. White Horse with a rider called faithful and true.

  104. So yes, there'll be horses in heaven.

  105. We remember Elijah the prophet was taken to heaven.

  106. How? In a chariot and with horses. 2

  107. Kings 211. Then it happened, as they

  108. continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire

  109. appeared, with horses of fire separated of the two of them,

  110. and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

  111. Jesus came the first time, remember, as a suffering

  112. servant. We remember that Palm Sunday as

  113. he rode into Jerusalem on the fall, the cult of a donkey never

  114. been ridden and he fulfilled the Bible prophecy, Zechariah 9/9.

  115. It was the fulfilment of Bible prophecy, Jesus coming in on

  116. Palm Sunday on that day. And Jesus said to the crowd to

  117. Jerusalem on this thy day. And Daniel, which is the next

  118. book we're going to go into after Revelation, Daniel had

  119. said this is when the Messiah will come in and he gives even

  120. the the the mathematical dates to the day that Christ will come

  121. right again. And he did on palm someday.

  122. Secondly, the second time Jesus comes, he's not coming in as the

  123. suffering St Remember, he came into Jerusalem.

  124. Why was he going there? He's going to die.

  125. He wept over Jerusalem. Oh, if you only knew, if only

  126. you. I've wanted to gather you under

  127. my wings. But if you only knew the crowd

  128. that sang Hosanna, Hosanna, son of David would on Thursday go

  129. crucify him, crucify him, Give us Barabbas instead of him.

  130. But this time, the second coming, Jesus comes as the

  131. conquering king. He's coming to judge and make

  132. war. The White Horse symbolises this.

  133. It's the picture of the the Roman generals.

  134. They would come in on their their stallion and they would

  135. lead the parade after the great victorious battle.

  136. You remember back in chapter 6-4, Horsemen of the Apocalypse,

  137. what was the first horse White, who was riding it?

  138. The Antichrist. He appears on the world

  139. political scene riding on a White Horse.

  140. He has 1 crown and he's carrying a bow, but he has no arrows,

  141. symbolising how he will subdue this anti he's he's coming as a

  142. pretend Messiah. Trouble is, the world's going to

  143. accept him, and trouble is so is Israel initially.

  144. And he comes with a White Horse because he's coming to make

  145. peace, but his peace is only temporary because of the other

  146. horses of war, famine, death, pestilence.

  147. Jesus has this title. John sees Jesus with this title

  148. on this horse, faithful and true, in contrast with Satan who

  149. is the father of all lies. His lying.

  150. Satan's lying. He did it back in Genesis 3 and

  151. he's deceiving. You won't die if you eat him the

  152. fruit. No, God just doesn't want you to

  153. be like him. It's his ammo.

  154. John chapter 844, Jesus said to the religious leaders, you are

  155. of your father the devil. Jesus believes in the devil.

  156. You know there are cults that don't believe in the devil.

  157. Jesus did and the desires of your Father you want to do that

  158. is the devil. He was a murderer from the

  159. beginning. Cain killing Abel does not stand

  160. in the truth. He lies because there is no

  161. truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks

  162. from his own resources. That is, that's his character,

  163. that's who he is for. He is, Jesus says, a liar and

  164. he's the father of it. Jesus is faithful and true also

  165. in regard to faithful and true, keeping his promise.

  166. He says, hey, I'm coming back, I'm coming back.

  167. I'll rise from the dead 3 days, I'll be there.

  168. I'm coming back, I'm coming back that he would indeed return and

  169. He would establish his Kingdom here on earth.

  170. Therefore it says he judges and makes war, verse one.

  171. War with who? With the unsaved.

  172. The church is not here. And He does this now in

  173. righteousness, but He does this how?

  174. When does Jesus come back and judge and make war?

  175. You need to note this. He comes and does this after the

  176. world has been flooded with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  177. Everyone has had a chance. This is not like, oh, I didn't

  178. know I fired. And no, no, I would, you know, I

  179. would, I would have believed. No, no these are people that are

  180. left are the unsaved who rebelled and blasphemy Jesus.

  181. No matter what happens 144,000 Jewish missionaries go

  182. throughout the world sealed by God unable to be touched by the

  183. the Antichrist or the false prophet and they proclaim the

  184. gospel of Jesus Christ. Secondly, Revelation 11 remember

  185. 2 guys, 2 witnesses who will and the world will watch on.

  186. You know how we we all watch the pretend landing on the moon.

  187. I don't know if it was real or not.

  188. Now, I don't know, in July we've taken a day off school watching

  189. the scratchy black and white thing I've got is this, is this

  190. the best it can be? One step for man and one step

  191. for mankind, or whatever it is and joint step.

  192. But anyway, because the we know that the world will watch and

  193. listen to the two witnesses, because when they die, it says

  194. the whole world erupts in a celebration.

  195. Everyone's been watching them, listening to them proclaim the

  196. gospel of Jesus Christ. Then thirdly, here's the other

  197. one and an Angel has encircled the entire earth proclaiming the

  198. everlasting gospel. How often have you said, why

  199. doesn't God just send an Angel to tell everybody?

  200. Well, he did in the end. We have a job to do. 144,000 did

  201. the two witnesses did. But in Revelation chapter 14,

    Revelation 14:6

  202. verse 6, then I saw another Angel flying in the midst of

  203. heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who

  204. dwell upon the earth. So the church has been raptured,

  205. the Saints have been killed, they've gone.

  206. And then who did the gospel? Who did the Angel proclaim to

  207. every nation, every tribe, every tongue and people.

  208. There's not going to be anyone to go.

  209. I am. No one told me.

  210. No excuses. No excuses.

  211. Revelation 1912. John sees Jesus, he sees Jesus

  212. eyes and he's on this horse and he sees his eyes were like a

  213. flame of fire. And on his head were many

  214. crowns, not one crown diadems. He had a name written that no

  215. one knew except himself. Now what is that name?

  216. I don't care. I don't know.

  217. I'm never going to tell you and you don't know.

  218. And if anyone says I know the name, no they don't because

  219. Jesus the only one I get caught up in.

  220. Let's have a Bible study and look at Revelation 1912.

  221. What do you think that name? I think it might sorry don't

  222. bother, don't waste your time. His eyes like a flame of fire.

  223. Judgement is always fire. But also Jesus sees everything

  224. and it is now judgement time. He has many crowns.

  225. Why He is the King of Kings. He is also all knowing,

  226. omniscient. He is all powerful, omnipotent.

  227. He's the king of all that He who once wore a crown of thorns that

  228. was forcibly embedded upon his brow.

  229. He now wears many royal diadems. He's the king of Kings.

  230. Jesus will have a new name. No one knows but himself.

  231. Revelation 13. He was clothed with a robe

  232. dipped in blood, and his name is called the word of God.

  233. And many people. Oh, he's dipped in blood.

  234. Yeah, because the memory died on the cross.

  235. And he died on the cross. Hey, read the context.

  236. He's called the Word of God. Interesting it was the apostle

  237. John who wrote at length in the beginning was the Word, the word

  238. was with God and the word was God and the word became flesh.

  239. John 11 John 114. The Jehovah Witnesses had to

  240. rewrite their Bible to change that passage also. 1 John verse

  241. one and 2:00. We, we felt him, we touched him,

  242. we heard him. The word, the word, Christ's

  243. robe, that he's wearing this garment at this time, that he's

  244. on this horse John sees is dipped in blood.

  245. That's a lot of blood. It's not just sprinkled, not a

  246. little bit here and a bit there. It's dipped.

  247. Isaiah 63. Let's turn there so you can read

  248. it and I'll read it to you as well because it's a passage that

  249. you need to know that fits in so beautifully.

  250. Isaiah 63, that fits in so beautifully with explaining how

  251. Jesus looks and why he looks this way.

  252. Isaiah 63 verse one, the prophet says, who is this?

  253. Who comes from Edom? Edom is read from the city of

  254. Basra with his clothing stained red.

  255. Who is this? Who is this in royal robes?

  256. This is the king of kings, marching in his great strength.

  257. It is I, the Lord announcing your salvation.

  258. It is I, the Lord who has the power to save.

  259. Why are your clothes so red, as if you've been treading out

  260. grapes? So the question comes.

  261. I have been treading the wine press alone, God alone, judging.

  262. No one was there to help me. In my anger I have trampled my

  263. enemies as if they were grapes. In my fury, I have trampled my

  264. foes. Their blood.

  265. Their blood has stained my clothes for the time has come

  266. for me to avenge my people, to ransom them from the oppressors.

  267. A great passage that fits in with Revelation 19.

  268. So the blood back to chapter 19 of Revelation.

  269. So the blood on Jesus robe here as he's on the horse represents

  270. the blood from the judgement of his enemies.

  271. Verse 14 and the armies in heaven clothed in fine linen,

  272. white and clean, followed him on white horses.

  273. Now I don't know if you've ever been a horse rider, if ever, if

  274. you've ever done it, but guess what you're going to that's

  275. Hebrew for you're going to but Jesus is not returning alone.

  276. This is the amazing thing as we read this, you and I, we're in

  277. this this is this is outstanding.

  278. He comes with the armies of heaven.

  279. Who were they? Clothed in fine linen, white and

  280. clean, followed him on white horses.

  281. Now back in verse 8 we read, And to her the bride of Christ the

  282. Church, it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and

  283. bright. For the fine linen is the

  284. righteous acts of the Saints. So the bride, the New Testament

  285. Church, you and I, the Saints who were raptured, chapter 4 up

  286. to heaven by the Lord. And it also includes in these

  287. armies, plural, the tribulation Saints.

  288. Every believer who has denied the Antichrist didn't get the

  289. mark, was killed for their faith, died for their faith is

  290. in this the Old Testament Saints and the holy angels.

  291. Now, I don't know how many angels there are.

  292. There's lots of them, isn't there?

  293. Well, you know, it's and we can't back in 4-5 and six.

  294. We can't number the number of angels because there's so many

  295. of them. How big's this army?

  296. And how do we know there's angels with them as well?

  297. Because Jesus says back in 25 Matthew, Matthew 25, verse 31.

    Matthew 25:31

  298. When the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the holy angels

  299. with him, what an army. This is superb.

  300. Then He will sit on the throne of his glory.

  301. Verse 15 Now out of his mouth that's Jesus goes a sharp sword

  302. and it's not a literal sword. What is it?

  303. God speaks that with it he should strike the nation's that

  304. is the nations who have gathered at Megiddo and he himself will

  305. rule them with a rod of iron. And that's that's the kind of

  306. like, not Mammy Pamby, is it? He himself treads the winepress

  307. of the fierceness and wrath of the Almighty God.

  308. This is Jesus coming back. This is dinkum.

  309. This is on. He's coming back.

  310. And this is big day judgement. We the church, however, are not

  311. coming to fight. We're not yet.

  312. Yeah, we're behind you with Jesus with little swords or bows

  313. and arrows or whatever. We don't do any of that because

  314. the Lord fights our battles, doesn't he?

  315. The Lord? We come to simply follow him.

  316. We're an army, but we have no weapons.

  317. We're an army and an army doesn't normally dress in fine

  318. white linen. We don't go to military parades

  319. and get and all the blokes March down the street and they're in

  320. fine white linen, are they? Our King speaks and goes to

  321. battle as you and I. You want to know about the

  322. battle of Armageddon? You'll see it, you witness it.

  323. We've been to Mount Carmel, we've looked out over that.

  324. We're going to visit that place again.

  325. The sharp sword comes out of Jesus mouth.

  326. What is the sharp sword? He speaks Hebrews 412 For the

  327. word of God is living and powerful, sharper than any 2

  328. edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit,

  329. of joints and marrow, and it's a discerner of the thoughts and

  330. intents of the heart. So Jesus establishes his

  331. Kingdom, of which He will rule in Jerusalem thousand years with

  332. a rod of iron. What does that actually mean?

  333. Rule with a rod of iron? Well, God is sovereign today,

  334. isn't he? He's still sovereign, but He has

  335. allowed people to exercise their free will.

  336. People can shake their fists at him.

  337. During the tribulation period, people blasphemed him.

  338. But at this time when Jesus returns and his second coming

  339. and he sets up his rule and reign in Jerusalem for that

  340. thousand year reign, things are going to change dramatically.

  341. For then it will be a theocratic dictatorship, and every person

  342. will be in submission to the Lord whether they want to or

  343. not. There's no, no.

  344. Maybe at this time you think, well, yeah, but who would in

  345. their right mind stand up against God as Jesus is ruling

  346. and reigning in Jerusalem? Well, hang on a little bit and

  347. we'll find out the judgement on Christ's return will resemble

  348. the Bible tells us, a wine press, and we saw many wine

  349. presses. There's one in particular.

  350. Remember, we go to Gethsemane and then we go to the the term

  351. which we believe is where Jesus was laid.

  352. And it's an area of a wealthy man.

  353. And there's a winepress there. And even in Nazareth we saw it

  354. where they dig out of the limestone a large hole.

  355. Then they have teared. Then there's a smaller one and a

  356. small one. There's this, this, this

  357. treading out of the wine. As the wine goes, it goes down.

  358. The next one then goes into the next one, but the treading goes

  359. into the big one. With that in mind, this is the

  360. picture that John sees at Megiddo.

  361. All Israel will be like a giant winepress, with the valley of

  362. Megiddo becoming the main up of that.

  363. The place where the grapes go in and the stomping occurs, and

  364. then the battles that soldiers killed by the sword.

  365. The word of God flowing down through and along all over the

  366. land of Israel at this time. And Jesus himself will tread the

  367. winepress. He is the 1 causing the

  368. bloodshed here. Revelation 19 verse 16.

    Revelation 19:16

  369. And he has on his robe and on his thigh and name written King

  370. of Kings, Lord of Lords. The time for man's futility and

  371. rebellion is over. This is the third time this

  372. title is given in this chapter. King of Kings, Lord of Lords.

  373. Jesus is vindicated. Everyone will bow down to him.

  374. Verse 17 Then I saw an Angel standing in the sun, and he

  375. cried with a loud voice again. Hey, it's loud.

  376. It's all loud saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of

  377. heaven. So that's every bird come and

  378. gather together for the supper of the great God.

  379. Verse 18 That you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of

  380. captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and

  381. those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and

  382. slave, those small and great. In other words, no one's left

  383. out. An Angel summons all the carrion

  384. birds. Now remember, all of the animals

  385. came to the ark, didn't they? No one went.

  386. Well, no, I didn't go out and have to grab them.

  387. And then Shammy got this. I've got these two rhinoceroses.

  388. I've got these two hippos and trying to round up the

  389. elephants, but they can't get them.

  390. The animals came. Well, all the birds are going to

  391. be summoned to Megiddo, because the dead will be scattered far

  392. and wide and piled. So the Angel summons the birds

  393. of the world to this one great battlefield where there are

  394. innumerable dead soldiers, bodies to this massive feast of

  395. the fallen, and the birds will gorge themselves.

  396. Now, these gathered armies, what are they?

  397. Remember, we know that it's the Antichrist and his massive

  398. military might, mainly from Europe.

  399. But also we know that the kings of the East have come too.

  400. They've come to do conflict with the Antichrist and his armies.

  401. But the Antichrist has come with his massive military might for

  402. one purpose, to annihilate Israel, to wipe them off the

  403. face of the earth. And as they arrive, remember

  404. they travelled up the kings of the East.

  405. The review Fridays has been dried up.

  406. The Antichrist has arrived with all his military might, and they

  407. arrived there to wipe out Israel and to fight with one another.

  408. But then Jesus appears suddenly and with his armies now let's us

  409. all the Saints, all the angels, and under the command of Jesus

  410. he speaks, He utters a word, and his death, they're all dead.

  411. The Antichrist will have turned his attention away from fighting

  412. Israel, and he will turn to fight Jesus.

  413. So will the kings of the East, and all the armies will unite to

  414. fight against Christ returning Bible tells us.

  415. But it's over in an instant. There's a lot written about the

  416. Book of Revelation in the battle of Armageddon, the Antichrist

  417. that says a seized the false prophet are judged after they

  418. are captured. It says the beast verse 20 was

  419. captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signed and

  420. his presence, by which he deceived those who received the

  421. mark of the beast and those who worshipped his image.

  422. These two false prophet and the Antichrist were cast alive into

  423. the lake of fire burning with brimstone was 21, and the rest

  424. were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of him

  425. who sat on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their

  426. flesh. The Antichrist and the false

  427. prophet are captured. Judged, cast on the Lake of Fire

  428. immediately, they are both sent directly to the Lake of Fire.

  429. The Lake of Fire is an eternal place of suffering for all

  430. unsaved people and the demons too.

  431. Right now, if you die and you don't know Christ, you go to

  432. Hades and there you are awaiting the second resurrection, where

  433. you'll go to the Great White Throne Judgement, which we'll

  434. get to in the next couple of weeks and stand before Christ.

  435. But now at this time, the Antichrist and the false prophet

  436. are judged immediately, and there they will be, just the two

  437. of them for the next 1000 years, and then others will join them

  438. at the end of that judgement. The great battle of Armageddon,

  439. which so much is written about, famously referred to for so many

  440. years as we read the Bible, it tells us we'll be all over

  441. before it even begins because Jesus will speak and they'll be

  442. dead. All the birds will feast on the

  443. flesh of the bodies of all the unsaved killed in this mass of

  444. slaughter. We read these things and we

  445. think, wow. But the big deal of this for me,

  446. I believe and for you and I is that we're actually there.

  447. Some of you said, well, I wish I would get to Israel.

  448. Well, you, you will. I would like to see the value of

  449. value of Jezreel. I get it.

  450. You will and you will witness this as we ride return.

  451. You see we've been there beginning before the tribulation

  452. started, the rapture of the church, 7 year tribulation

  453. occurs and at the end, because the bride has been married, the

  454. wedding has occurred and then the bride returns, Jesus comes.

  455. Remember we looked on Sunday and the great supper is going to be

  456. held upon the earth. This is staggering.

  457. This is This is why I became a Christian.

  458. I read this and I thought this is all going to happen.

  459. How come people aren't excited about this?

  460. I think people aren't excited about it because they simply two

  461. things. One, they don't know about it

  462. and two, thank you. You know about it.

  463. I'll tell you what, I am excited.

  464. I don't normally say that, but I'm really excited.

  465. I live knowing This is why I turned to Christ, because Jesus

  466. died. He rose again.

  467. That's fact. But all the information, all the

  468. prophecy on the second coming and all these events, more

  469. prophecy than the first time. Are you ready?
