  1. Revelation 22 thank you worship team.

  2. Now Father, we do pray for the school, Sunday school teachers,

  3. the junior church leaders, be with them, help them minister to

  4. the children. Lord may the children love you.

  5. May any who don't know you receive you as the Lord and

  6. Saviour today. We pray for any here gathered

  7. with us this morning and that don't know you that have come

  8. seeking to find and call upon you.

  9. We pray for this salvation. We pray today for all of our

  10. hearts to be convicted, for our hearts to be corrected, Father,

  11. for our hearts to be forgiven, and for Your grace and your

  12. mercy to be new and fresh to us even this morning.

  13. Again, Lord, give us good ears to hear.

  14. Lord in Jesus name, Amen. As we complete our study in the

  15. Book of Revelation, the title is I'm coming quickly.

  16. Jesus said that we remember that scripture began with us in the

  17. Garden of Eden book of Genesis, the book of beginnings, Genesis

  18. chapter one. In the beginning God created the

  19. heavens and the earth. In Revelation 22 we see God had

  20. has created a new heaven and a new earth.

  21. In the book of Genesis God set the sun and the moon.

  22. He said let there be light and there was and they both shone

  23. distinguishing the day from the night.

  24. Now in heaven there is no night, only light.

  25. The light from the throne of God.

  26. Genesis 3 The curse came as Adam and Eve fell for the lives of

  27. the enemy. Who said if you eat this you

  28. won't die? It's all good.

  29. And a curse was announced after the fall of Adam and Eve.

  30. Eve would would take time and trial in in in giving birth.

  31. Adam would work the land in sweat and thorns and thistles

  32. would grow and he would have to labour and death would come.

  33. In Revelation 22, the curse is removed.

  34. In Genesis 3, Adam and Eve had to be driven away out of the

  35. garden, the beautiful garden paradise, for their own eternal

  36. sakes, away from the tree of life, so they wouldn't touch and

  37. stay in their sin forever. In Revelation 22, the tree of

  38. Life is restored and each and everyone, every believer in

  39. Saint, who's in the new heaven. The New Jerusalem has access to

  40. its wonder and we see a beautiful garden once again, a

  41. paradise like no other ever formed.

  42. Our home is a paradise. All that Adam lost, Christ the

  43. second Adam has regained, and much more, much better.

  44. So anything that you think is good now in heaven, it's going

  45. to be far beyond how much better it's going to be.

  46. And we can't, we can't explain that.

  47. That's the wonder of heaven. That's why we all need eternity

  48. in heaven, because we will just be amazed, amazed at at the

  49. wonder of what we see, what we'll do, how we'll appear

  50. ourselves, and the glory and the wonder of the throne of God.

  51. Heaven. The Bible is the history of the

  52. world, its creation, its fall and its end.

  53. The Bible is God's story of Him sending his Son Jesus to rescue

  54. us from our own mess. For God so loved the world that

  55. he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes.

  56. And that's all you have to do. On him shall not perish, but

  57. have everlasting life. You get you live forever.

  58. No separation from God ever again.

  59. God sent his Son to rescue us. When you are rescued, it means

  60. you can't save yourself. When the lifesavers paddle out

  61. to you and grab you, it's because you're drowning.

  62. You can't save yourself. Jesus came because we couldn't

  63. save ourselves and it was our own mess.

  64. We deserve judgement, but He restores us.

  65. He forgives us and removes all of our sin.

  66. The time in which you and I are now living, 2025.

  67. We are awaiting Christ's return at any moment for His church

  68. called the rapture. Jesus spoke of it in John 14.

  69. Paul mentioned of it in one Thessalonians.

  70. He was in Thessalonica of just three Sabbaths, Paul.

  71. But in those three Sabbaths when he was in Thessalonica, Paul

  72. gave them and unloaded the wonders of heaven, the wonders

  73. of the rapture, and the glory of God that awaits us all and that

  74. Jesus is coming soon must be important.

  75. We're living in the last days prior to the rapture.

  76. And then after the rapture occurs and the church is taken

  77. out, the Bible says all hell will break loose.

  78. There'll be 7 years as Daniel prophesied of this, the 70th

  79. year of the 69 of the of the 70th years on the children of

  80. Israel. The clock begins to tick the

  81. last seven years and it's called the Tribulation.

  82. Jesus will return at the end of that seven year period with his

  83. church and end all conflict. The battle of Armageddon over.

  84. He speaks and it's done. He will then establish his

  85. thousand year reign called the Millennium here on earth, and at

  86. the end of that thousand years he will cast Satan and all the

  87. demons. The third of the angels that

  88. fell with Satan will be cast into the lake of fire along with

  89. death, where the Antichrist and the false prophet, as I said,

  90. along with death will be. And then there's the Great White

  91. Throne judgement, the second resurrection.

  92. We're all unsaved who have died over the years since the

  93. creation of the heaven and on earth and everyone who has died

  94. without Christ will be resurrected, face the great

  95. right throne judgement and we be cast into the lake of fire

  96. forever. In chapter 22, we come to the

  97. end of this prophetic book, a book that it's said at the at

  98. the beginning in chapter 1. You'll be blessed if you hear

  99. it, if you read it and you keep it.

  100. So without anything already God has blessed you because you've

  101. heard it, you've read it, and I pray this is the important part,

  102. that you're keeping it. We come to the end of it.

  103. How will it all end? We're told how it will end.

  104. For those who love Jesus Christ. There'll be a new heaven and a

  105. new earth. The old has burned up, Peter

  106. said, melted with a fervent heat, and eternity has come.

  107. I can't comprehend eternity, can't fathom Revelation 22 verse

  108. one. Let's look.

  109. And he showed me a river of water of life.

  110. Now this is John being showed. He's on the Isle of Patmos.

  111. And remember, this is one of the angels who handed out the bold

  112. judgements. So this is that Angel.

  113. And he says John I shown, he's shown him the outside.

  114. We looked at that on Wednesday, how tall it was, the New

  115. Jerusalem. It's a cube, 1500 miles high,

  116. long, wide breadth, perfect cube.

  117. And now he takes John inside. Enter through the gates, 12

  118. gates, a gate made of a Pearl, 1 Pearl per gate.

  119. Walks in and he's showed me a pure river of water of life,

  120. clear as crystal proceeding from where does the river flow from?

  121. What's the the spring source? It comes from the throne of God

  122. and of the Lamb capital L Lamb Heavenly Father.

  123. And the Lamb capital L is Jesus Christ in the middle of its St

  124. and on either side of the river. So the tree of life is the tree

  125. of life. It's so big that it goes on

  126. covers to both sides of this river that runs down this, the

  127. middle of the street, the tree of life.

  128. And this tree of life bore 12 fruits. 12 There's that number

  129. again, each tree yielding its fruit every month.

  130. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

  131. So John is now taken inside the New Jerusalem by this Angel, and

  132. now he writes down what he sees. We're reading it.

  133. He sees a river. It's no ordinary river.

  134. Many Bible commentators question whether it's actually Aqua water

  135. H2 oi believe it is, but there's more to it.

  136. This river flows from the throne of God.

  137. And this river is filled with an endless supply of divine life.

  138. Remember to be in heaven. We learned last Sunday that you

  139. had to be what? Thirsty.

  140. Remember Jesus came to the woman at the well.

  141. She tried everything she tried. She wanted to be loved.

  142. She wanted to be protected, cared for.

  143. And so she short thought she could find that in relationships

  144. with men. It failed each time.

  145. She had had five men and the one she was with now was not a

  146. husband. When she met Jesus at the well

  147. and she was going there to get a drink and Jesus said can you

  148. give me a drink? And she was confounded.

  149. Here was a male, first of all speaking to a female, which

  150. wasn't done. He was a Jew, that's another

  151. thing. And she was a Samaritan and

  152. there was this enmity between the Jews and the Samaritans.

  153. But Jesus was waiting for her. Jesus is waiting for each and

  154. every one of us because we're like that woman at the world.

  155. We, we've tried everything. We continue to try stuff.

  156. It's funny, you know, we'll, we'll try something and it'll

  157. fail. You know, we'll do, we'll try it

  158. again. We try the same thing again.

  159. But there's only one thing one way that's going to, that's

  160. going to meet the ache that only you ever feel, that only you

  161. know about. No one else knows about it.

  162. You're the only person that knows yourself within.

  163. But God knows you and he has an appointment.

  164. He sent his son Jesus for you, as he did to the woman at the

  165. well, and she came first. And he says, Jesus said, I can

  166. give you water where you'll never thirst again.

  167. And she said, how do I, how do I get that water?

  168. And then he introduced himself. He says, I'm the Messiah.

  169. I'm the one that you're looking for.

  170. And she was so overwhelmed with joy, she left her water jugs and

  171. ran into the city and said, hey, everybody, she's, she's, she's

  172. not thirsty anymore. You got to come.

  173. You got to come and drink what I've drank.

  174. You got to come and meet this one.

  175. Meet this one to be in heaven. You got to be thirsty.

  176. Heaven will be filled with thirsty people who have found

  177. Christ and now first no more. No longer chasing the

  178. relationship after relationship, no longer trying to be the best

  179. at achieve this. Get that?

  180. That's why so many athletes, when they reach their pinnacle,

  181. they win the gold medal, they break their record, they win the

  182. the flag, the premiership, then what?

  183. A mount on the top of the mountain.

  184. It's lonely. Now, what do I do?

  185. This is all I've lived for. You see, Jesus gives you a

  186. reason to live each and every day.

  187. And you know what? The best thing about eternity,

  188. it's going to be more and more and more and more and more.

  189. I've had one nightmare that I can remember as a child and it

  190. was dying a first. I remember it vividly and I

  191. remember my older brother. We were in the sharing the same

  192. room. And in that nightmare I'm crying

  193. out to him. Give me a drink.

  194. I'm laying on the ground and you know how Australian summers can

  195. get hot and I was laying on the ground.

  196. I'm just thirsty first like I've never had before.

  197. And he walked over me and he didn't give me a drink.

  198. And I woke up and I told him off in the morning, Why don't you

  199. give me a drink? I didn't know what I was talking

  200. about. I was just a little kid.

  201. But that first, I know that first.

  202. You know that first alone. When you've been alone, you

  203. maybe even be happily married, but you're still thirsty.

  204. You're going to have to be happily married, have a great

  205. job, healthy kids, all all those things.

  206. And it'd still be thirsty, because the first God is created

  207. within your thirst, and the first is to have a relationship

  208. with Him. To be in heaven, you need to be

  209. thirsty, but also you needed to be an overcomer.

  210. Revelation 21 six and he said to me, it is done.

  211. I am the alpha and the Amiga, the beginning and the end.

  212. I will give up the fountain of the water of life freely.

  213. We're talking about the river to him who first he, whoever comes

  214. shall inherit all things and I will be his God and he shall be

  215. my son. Heaven as seen by this river

  216. will be totally satisfying you and I, we long for that.

  217. You know how often he's finally I could just get away from all

  218. the problems that we're having. You know, the bank situation

  219. lost my job or this this ache that I carry when my body

  220. continually. If only I could be on a desert

  221. island and just, you know, not have any worries.

  222. Well, you don't get a desert island, you get paradise and it

  223. will satisfy you. You will have that unbelievable

  224. emotion and feeling in heaven of being absolutely satisfied,

  225. quenched. John sees a prominent tree.

  226. It's the tree of life. It bears 12 fruits every month.

  227. And you go hang on a minute. Months.

  228. I thought we're in eternity. Is this not eternity?

  229. Time will continue. Time will continue.

  230. John tells us that eternity will have distinction.

  231. There'll be cycles and seasons of a sort.

  232. We will be outside. We're not.

  233. We're not bound by time, but time clicks on.

  234. John describes this fruit bearing cycle and he uses what's

  235. called an anthropomorphic term. In other words, it's describing

  236. something that's divine and putting it into human terms so

  237. we can relate to it. He says this is tree, the tree

  238. of life, and it's got fruit. And you eat this fruit and you

  239. get this, this this massive healing.

  240. It says the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the

  241. nation's. You ask another question.

  242. OK, well, OK, but if sin and disease and pain and tears are

  243. known more, we did that Revelation 21.

  244. Why then will the nation's need healing?

  245. The word healing in our texts, and it's written in Greek is the

  246. Greek word therapia. It's the root word where we get

  247. our English translation therapeutic.

  248. A better way to translate this would be you get life giving or

  249. health giving. In other words, you'll find but

  250. this is like an extra blessing. You get a supernatural vitamin

  251. so our lives will be fully energised and exciting.

  252. When you get to God, ask him, He'll explain this because I

  253. can't. Verse three.

  254. There shall be no more curse. That means death, pain, sorrow,

  255. but the throne of God and the Lamb shall be in it and his

  256. servants, it's us, shall serve him.

  257. We're going to be doing stuff. They shall see his face, that's

  258. the Lord's, and his name shall be on their foreheads.

  259. It's interesting how the Antichrist did his copy, the

  260. fake he gave the old barley tattoo. 666666 But God, he marks

  261. you. We have a mark, and we have the

  262. name written on our foreheads in heaven, the Lord's name.

  263. There shall be no night there. Why does it say that you go?

  264. What's the big deal about no night there?

  265. They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord gives them

  266. light, and they shall reign forever and ever.

  267. What's the scariest thing that you usually face as a kid?

  268. Well, I know darkness, man. I was terrified of the dark.

  269. We had stables in our backyard and I would play up, do

  270. something wrong and I'd run away, pack a case and I'd run

  271. away and hide up the stables. But then I'd come home and sneak

  272. in the bedroom window because it was dark.

  273. I'm not staying up the stables in the dark.

  274. There's Boogie 1 boogie monsters up there.

  275. But why is it that we have this, this, this, this fear of the

  276. dark, this, this, this, this. It just wells up and, you know,

  277. and the, the wonder of how a blanket pulled over your head

  278. can save you and that just protects you from any monsters,

  279. doesn't it? There we go.

  280. I'm in the zone, you know, But we have this fear of the dark.

  281. And as a child, for me, it was very, very real.

  282. I was so scared of the dark. And my auntie lived next door.

  283. She used to like cigarettes. She smoked a lot.

  284. So my auntie would come and Oh no, my auntie's coming.

  285. She's wanting me to go down the shop and it's dark to get her a

  286. packet of cigarettes. I'd hear a shuffle, a side gate.

  287. Go, Mom, I've got to go to the shop for Auntie Mill.

  288. It's dark. And our street, where we lived

  289. in Hampton Rd, we had one street light and then the next one was

  290. 500 miles away. And the vampires lived under

  291. that one. Because I watched every vampire

  292. movie as a kid. It was just healthy.

  293. Anyway, she come in Keith Love. Could you go down the shop and

  294. get a packet of cigarettes for your auntie?

  295. Sure. I only will.

  296. Thanks. And we had a big old door, big

  297. old wooden fly wire door and I would be out that door, swing it

  298. open on my bike, ripped down to the shop, pick up the packet of

  299. cigarettes. Rothmans pedal back and the door

  300. would close behind me as I got home.

  301. I was like lightning. I was terrified of the dark.

  302. But it says here, no darkness. We have no fears.

  303. There's no fears. You know, when you and I can't

  304. comprehend, you know, there are things that happened during our

  305. days as we go about our lives and something happening and all

  306. of a sudden this this fear arises or they're not home yet

  307. or it's late or looks like this they're selling the company and,

  308. and all and these fears just rise up in heaven.

  309. None of that, none of that. But how could there be no more

  310. curse? Why does he even mention that

  311. since death and the curse has been lifted?

  312. Because it says the throne of God and the Lamb shall be in it.

  313. A curse implies here distance between God and man.

  314. Because death in the Bible for a Christian is always mentioned as

  315. sleep, but death for an an unbeliever is death.

  316. It's it's judgement, death, separation from God.

  317. But in the New Jerusalem, that once great impassable chasm

  318. where our sins separated us from a holy God, we'll shrink to

  319. nothing. The curse will be gone.

  320. God's blessing will grow more and more each day in eternity

  321. because every day we'll discover something new.

  322. We will all make wonderful, just unbelievable discoveries each

  323. day. And God's boundless grace and

  324. His love will be so much more because there's something

  325. special that God has also placed in our hearts.

  326. And that is we actually want to touch God.

  327. We actually want to feel God. We want to feel the warmth of

  328. Him. We want to see his face.

  329. We're not people who want to worship God from a distance.

  330. We will serve God in the new Jerusalem.

  331. Life will be anything but boring.

  332. Now John turns his focus from what he sees now to those who is

  333. writing this last passage to the believers you and I John wants

  334. the Saints of God because this Bible prophecy book, the Book of

  335. Revelation, is written only to Christians.

  336. John wants the Saints of God who read this prophetic book to be

  337. ready and to get ready for this amazing future that's coming.

  338. And so three times John mentions Jesus is coming.

  339. Have I told you Jesus is coming? Verse 7, verse 12 and verse 20.

  340. Now the early church believed that Jesus could return for them

  341. at any moment. That's how they live.

  342. They believe, well, He's just gone and He's coming back any

  343. moment as we are. The generation, as I said

  344. before, that we are living in the last days prior to Christ's

  345. imminent return. What should we as Christians

  346. here at Calvary Chapel, Secret Harbour 2025 be doing right now

  347. knowing all that we've read? Verse 7, Jesus says behold, I am

  348. coming quickly. That word quickly there means

  349. it's the Greek word Taco. When we get our word and the

  350. Moto all new Rev heads takamina, it means house.

  351. It's fast, I'm coming and when I come it's going to be really

  352. fast. When I come, it's going to bang.

  353. This happened, Paul says it's going to be faster than the

  354. twinkling of of of the eye measurement, not the blinking,

  355. but the actual twinkling of of the eye.

  356. The church will be here and in the twinkling of an eye faster

  357. than that gone measure how that's going to impact the

  358. world. I am coming quickly now He says,

  359. blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this

  360. book. What does that mean?

  361. They say now I, John, saw and heard these things.

  362. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet

  363. of the Angel who showed me these things.

  364. Then the Angel said to me, see that you don't.

  365. Hey, don't do that, John, for I'm your fellow servant and of

  366. your brethren, the prophets and of those who keep the words of

  367. this book worship God. When you and I, as believers

  368. studying no Bible prophecy in the way God intended, it will

  369. help to purify us. We will live differently with

  370. our eyes on heaven, our hands loosely on the things of this

  371. world, and our lives busy serving the Lord with all that

  372. we are capable, 1 John 33 says. And everyone who has this hope

  373. in him purifies himself just as he is pure.

  374. That means our eyes are constantly, our minds are always

  375. thinking, our conversations with our children, you know, Jesus is

  376. coming soon. I love talking to our grandkids

  377. and having them ask, is he coming soon?

  378. When is he coming? What's going to happen in

  379. heaven? Because that's what you and I

  380. are to. We're on that.

  381. We're in the the terminal at the airport.

  382. We're just waiting. We're ready to go.

  383. You know, when you go to the airport, you're going to fly

  384. somewhere. You think about where you're

  385. going to go. What's the temperature going to

  386. be like? What time will we get there,

  387. what we'll do, where we'll stay? The apostle Peter wrote to Peter

  388. 311. Since everything around us is

  389. going to be destroyed, old heaven, old earth, what holy and

  390. godly life should you live? Peter asked the question.

  391. How should you live? He said then tells us how,

  392. looking forward to the day and hurrying it along, Peter says we

  393. should be living holy and godly lives, lives that display our

  394. love for Christ. In other words, I can see that

  395. the way you live, the way you speak, the way that you manage

  396. your whole life, your resources, your time, your family tells me

  397. you're a Christian. We're looking for God, waiting

  398. for the Lord to come. Can I, can I see that?

  399. Can your neighbours see that you, can your kids see that in

  400. mom and dad, that mom and dad are ready for the Lord?

  401. With our beliefs, Our beliefs, because of what we've read in

  402. the Word of God, are controlling our behaviour.

  403. Well, we're not going to worry about that, son.

  404. There are more important things in life.

  405. What you need to get right is your relationship with God right

  406. now. That's the most important thing.

  407. We live out the life that the Bible declares is a godly life,

  408. showing our faith to be alive. Real people say, well, I'm a

  409. Christian and you go, that's news to me because I can't tell.

  410. I can't see it in the way that you live, the way that you speak

  411. and the way that you go about your activities and energy.

  412. It's not. It's not clear.

  413. It's a life that's devoted to pleasing God.

  414. That's where the word St comes from.

  415. It's not invented by the Catholic Church.

  416. The word St Hagios is a word that means this instrument that

  417. is made in the temple for the temple, and that's where it came

  418. from. This instrument is made for the

  419. sole purpose of the worship of God.

  420. Guess what? You're a St And so you are made

  421. for the sole purpose of the worship of God.

  422. It's the first commandment. You shall love the Lord your God

  423. with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your

  424. strength. That's why you're created.

  425. We should wake up each day looking forward to it being the

  426. day of the Lord that He's coming back.

  427. How can we hurry it on? That's impossible, isn't it,

  428. Keith? To hasten.

  429. That's what it means to have. It means to have eager

  430. anticipation. It's when you and I talk about.

  431. As we gather and we go, we finish chapter 22 today.

  432. Man, I've loved the Book of Revelation.

  433. Jesus is coming soon. As we're talking.

  434. You know what that's doing? It's hastening, it's it's, it's

  435. pushing it on. It's soon.

  436. It's any moment it will happen on that day.

  437. Peter goes on to say he will set the heavens on fire.

  438. The elements will melt away. That's the old heaven and the

  439. old earth in the flames. But you and I, we're looking

  440. forward to the new heavens and the new earth.

  441. He has promised a world filled with God's righteousness.

  442. And so dear friends, Peter goes on to say, while you are waiting

  443. for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living

  444. peaceful lives that are pure blameless in his sight.

  445. All that to Peter, chapter 3, verse 11 to 14.

  446. Our study of this prophetic book should change the way we walk

  447. before God to drop off the unimportant cares.

  448. If you study about heaven and revelation and you think this is

  449. the word of God you believe it is, then the study of this

  450. should help us as we realise realise Jesus is coming at any

  451. moment. Heaven awaits us to drop off

  452. unimportant cares of this world that are burning our time,

  453. wasting our energy, choking our walk with God.

  454. And we should start to think and live more with an eternal

  455. perspective. If something happens and I'm

  456. growing old, if something happens as you grow older,

  457. hopefully we grow wiser. When we're young, we got energy.

  458. As you get older, you still have energy, but you run out of gas.

  459. Takes time to recover. So as you get older, you refine.

  460. I need to, I need to focus more on what I'm doing.

  461. Guess what? You need to do that when you're

  462. young. You need to focus your life.

  463. You say, Well, Keith, I'm. I am busy.

  464. Yeah. You're busy doing your stuff.

  465. You're too busy for God. Many people are too busy for

  466. God. Jesus is never too busy for us.

  467. We got to look at our lives and really examine.

  468. I don't care whether you're 6 or 70, examine your life.

  469. Therefore we also, the writer of Hebrews says, since we are

  470. surrounded by this great cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside

  471. every weight and the sin and here's what happens that so

  472. easily ensnares us. We get caught up and stuff and

  473. let us run with endurance, the race that is set before us.

  474. Keith, what are these weights? It's everything and anything and

  475. anyone that hinders your progress.

  476. You know what? There's a lot of good weights,

  477. good things that are weighing you down.

  478. I realised that in my life as I began to get more and more

  479. serious with God. There is stuff you know, I can

  480. do that I can be involved in that.

  481. We can do that as a family. But then I got to realise, you

  482. know what, no, we don't because they'll take us away from our

  483. time serving and being with the Lord.

  484. You will keep. That's a pretty boring life.

  485. Well, that's a choice. Serving God is never boring.

  486. Being in God's will is never boring.

  487. It's always wonderful, it's fulfilling.

  488. That's the reason why we're here.

  489. You know when you have that eternal perspective in our I

  490. have a paddle board, it's a large larger than a surfboard

  491. and they made out of epoxy and this other types of foam and

  492. chemicals and stuff. And they have what's called a

  493. breather valve in them. The breather valve was a little

  494. black thing so that when you store any heat that generates

  495. inside the board, it it lets this valve automatically lets

  496. out the hot air so the board stays intact and nothing starts

  497. bubbling and exploding. Well, guess what, If you start

  498. to live your life with an eternal perspective, it creates

  499. A breather valve. And when problems come your way,

  500. you know what happens? You go, yeah, it's pretty bad.

  501. You know what? The Lord's coming.

  502. The breather valve clicks in, doesn't get you to explode.

  503. You don't melt. You can take the heat and just

  504. but the Lord will. Well, God will sort that out,

  505. The breather valve, John says you've read these things, you've

  506. heard all about these things, you've seen these things.

  507. Now blessed are they who do them.

  508. The Bible calls this wise or foolish living.

  509. A fool is a person who lives as if God doesn't exist.

  510. Because the storm is coming and we see it.

  511. We see it in our government. I tell you, it won't be long

  512. before preaching the Bible will be hate speech.

  513. There'll be rules. They'll say you want to be a

  514. church, then you're going to and you want to be involved as a

  515. charitable organisation, then you're going to have to do this

  516. and we're going to go, guess what, we're not doing that.

  517. There's coming a time when in your own personal situation

  518. you're going to have to define God.

  519. I'm not doing that. I'm not being part of that.

  520. That's not me. My faith.

  521. You need to stand up for your faith, defend your faith, stand

  522. up for your faith and declare sorry and I'm not apologising,

  523. but my faith, my what I believe in says that's not right.

  524. I can't do that. I'm a Christian, Jesus says in

  525. Matthew 724. Whoever hears these sayings of

  526. mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his

  527. house on a rock. It's a father.

  528. It's a husband like Noah who gets his children to Christ.

  529. Noah is my mentor, the greatest father that I know.

  530. Why? Because out of all the billions

  531. that lived at the time of the great flood and evil was

  532. everywhere, Noah sat in the ark. And opposite Noah said his wife,

  533. his three sons and their three wives.

  534. And I went there and when God closed the door, I tell you

  535. what, Missus, Noah should have said.

  536. Noah, you're a wonderful husband.

  537. Ham, Sham and Japha should have said, oh man, Dad, it's raining.

  538. You're awesome. He saved them.

  539. That's your job, Dad. That's your role, your ministry.

  540. You're to lead, you're to guide, you're to protect, you're to

  541. read. The first person that heads out

  542. the door to come to church, it's got to be you.

  543. The first person that says, let's pray about that.

  544. It's it should be you be a Noah. So our walk with God should have

  545. changed since we started reading, hearing and living the

  546. commands of this book. The Book of Revelation has it

  547. has our study through this book changed anything in you.

  548. Secondly, as your life turn in its worship of God.

  549. Since we've studied this book. Verse 9 and he said to me, see

  550. that you do not do that for I'm your fellow servant, your

  551. brethren, the prophets and of those who keep the words of this

  552. book worship God. Have you not become, I have

  553. overwhelmed by the enormity of the judgments of God that will

  554. befall this world, But more importantly, have you not been

  555. staggered by the glory, the wonder and overwhelming detail

  556. of the new heaven, the new earth, the new Jerusalem and

  557. John's description that you have in detail.

  558. He's described it again, highlighting the wonders of

  559. God's grace that you'll not experience the trauma and the

  560. calamities of the tribulation When we read about what's ahead

  561. of us now. How can we remain casual in our

  562. walk with God, lukewarm in our worship of him?

  563. We can't. John 423 Jesus said, but the

  564. hour is coming and now is and he said this to the woman at the

  565. well, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in

  566. spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such to

  567. worship him. Studying the Book of Revelation

  568. has impacted our personal walk with God, our personal worship

  569. of God. And now thirdly our witness.

  570. How's that verse 10 and he said to me, do not seal the words of

  571. the prophecy of this book for the time is at hand.

  572. It's soon. The Angel tells John, don't

  573. hideaway what I've told you all this stuff, all that you've

  574. seen. Tell everyone about it.

  575. Don't seal it up. Don't keep it to yourself.

  576. Do you know the the Book of Revelation is the first book I

  577. read as a new Christian, you know, Wow, you did.

  578. Yep, read the Book of Revelation and the Gospel of John.

  579. You know, same bloke wrote both the Book of Revelation.

  580. The coming of the Lord was the message that got me saved.

  581. It's the message today. Why?

  582. Because we're living in the time that Jesus is coming.

  583. It's the message. If you see a bunch of kids start

  584. talking about the tribulation, start talking about have you

  585. ever been in the army? You know there's going to be a

  586. World War. Start giving them the details.

  587. Tell you what, they'll soon listen.

  588. You know why? Because you're talking

  589. everything that's already written in the paper.

  590. How can we read about the coming tribulation where half the

  591. world's 8 billion people will perish so quickly, 4 billion

  592. about the Wick will fall. How can we?

  593. And that's only by Revelation Chapter 9.

    Revelation 9 chapter mention

  594. Four billion have gone, half the population and the wickedness

  595. that's going to be unleashed demonic beings, the judgements

  596. of God, the falling and not to be moved by these awful things

  597. to warn people to avoid them to come to Christ to receive him as

  598. their Lord and Saviour. In verse 17 it says and the

  599. spirit and the bride say come, let him who's hears say come,

  600. let him who thirsts. There it is again, whoever

  601. desires, let him take the water of life freely.

  602. And who desires? The Spirit is the Holy Spirit,

  603. while the church, we're the bride.

  604. And what does the bride say in this chat passage?

  605. We're telling other people to come.

  606. We are to with passion, with love, and with all of our

  607. hearts, say to those who are currently sitting under the

  608. judgement of God for their sins outside the family of God.

  609. We're saying come in, get saved, come and hear about this.

  610. Let me tell you about what's going to happen.

  611. God desires you to come. We can tell them that He invites

  612. you to come. Come and have eternal life.

  613. So we've have our walk, our worship, our witness, and now

  614. our work. Verse 12 Behold, I'm coming

  615. quickly, and my reward is with me to give to everyone according

  616. to His work. The new Living Translation puts

  617. it this way. Look, I am coming soon, bringing

  618. my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds.

  619. One day each and everyone of us who are believers will stand

  620. before Jesus Christ on our own in heaven.

  621. And based on your service now that you've done in your life,

  622. you will be tested as to your work for him.

  623. Based on that test, you will either receive a reward or have

  624. a reward withdrawn. Burn up, Paul says in Two

  625. Corinthians chapter 5 verse 10 For we must all appear before

  626. the judgement seat of Christ, that each one may receive the

  627. things done in the body according to what he has done,

  628. whether good or bad. Romans 1412 Paul said.

  629. So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.

  630. There's not much time left. Jesus himself said I must work

  631. the works of him who sent me whilst day.

  632. The night is coming when no one can work, but we have a choice.

  633. Verse 11 it says he was unjust, let him be unjust still.

  634. He was filthy, let him be filthy still.

  635. He was righteous, Let him be righteous still.

  636. He is holy, let him be holy still.

  637. It's your choice right now, today how you live.

  638. Jesus desires willing hearts, not reluctant ones.

  639. Can you imagine getting married and standing opposite the bride?

  640. She's going, I'm not sure about this or the OR the bridegroom

  641. and you're, you're the bride and you're just standing there and

  642. he's going do it. Shall we really?

  643. You'd be thinking, oh this is great.

  644. Jesus is after passionate and eager servants, not half hearted

  645. and disinterested ones. Every day you make choices that

  646. mark your destiny. If we are wrong in this life,

  647. then we will be more wrong after death.

  648. But if we are right in this life, we will be even more right

  649. in our new and glorious home than we could ever imagine or

  650. think. Follow with me as we read to the

  651. end, verse 13. Jesus says I am the Alpha and

  652. the Amiga, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

  653. Blessed are those who do his commandments that they may have

  654. the right to the tree of life may enter through the gates into

  655. the city, but outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually

  656. immoral murderers and idolaters and whoever loves and practises

  657. alike. Now I'm saved in heaven.

  658. I, Jesus have sent my Angel to testify you these things in the

  659. churches. I am the root and offspring of

  660. David, the bright morning star and the Spirit and the Bride.

  661. Say come and let him who hears say come, let him who thirsts

  662. come whoever desires. Let him take of water of life

  663. freely. For I testify to everyone who

  664. hears the words of the prophecy of this book.

  665. If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues

  666. that are written in this book. If anyone takes away from the

  667. words of the book, of this prophecy, God shall take away

  668. his part from the book of life, from the holy city, and from the

  669. things which are written in this book.

  670. He who testifies to these things says, surely I am coming

  671. quickly. When I come, it's going to be

  672. fast, Amen. Even so John says come, Lord

  673. Jesus, the last prayer, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ

  674. be with you all, Amen. It was Billy Graham who said,

  675. you know, I've read the last page of the Bible.

  676. It's all going to turn out all right.

  677. Jesus said I am coming quickly, Taco speed.

  678. When I come, people are going to be there and then gone, just

  679. disappeared. This now is the third time in

  680. this final section that Jesus has made that statement.

  681. He say I'm coming and when I come man, it's going to be fast.

  682. Do you think he's trying to tell us something?

  683. I'll just go to I'm just going to no, gone, done.

  684. Jesus is coming quickly in the sense that when he does come it

  685. will happen swiftly and the prophecies of this book will

  686. take place then in a very rapid succession. 7 years man, I want

  687. after the other 7 seals, 7 trumpets, 7 balls, second

  688. coming, thousand years, New heaven, new earth, it's going to

  689. happen. Your hearts sang in Symphony

  690. with John's words. Even so, come Lord Jesus, you

  691. have the greatest message for Australians today.

  692. The Book of Revelation is the most exciting book that you can

  693. share with someone who's not a Christian because you know what?

  694. They're all interested in what's going to happen at the end?

  695. How's it all going to turn out? The answers are always in the

  696. back of the book. Jesus Christ is the answer.

  697. We have a job to do. We have a mission.

  698. Proclaim the good news. Let's pray, Heavenly Father,

  699. help us to keep, to live out and to share the messages of this

  700. wonderful book. And Lord, help us to speak to

  701. our relatives, to our neighbours, to our friends,

  702. husbands, wives, dads, mums, brothers and sisters, children,

  703. that when Jesus comes, it's going to be so fast you don't

  704. want them left behind. If you're here today and you

  705. don't know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, I will pray

  706. with you, show you the Scriptures just as someone

  707. wonderfully did for Helen and I and showed us John chapter 10,

    John 10 chapter mention

  708. Romans chapter 10, verses 9 and 10, that if you believe in your

    Romans 10:9

  709. heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord,

  710. you shall be saved.
