  1. Title of this. Morning's message.

  2. Is rescued by his love Rescued by his love.

  3. Exodus chapter 3. Let's read the. 1st 10 verses

    Exodus 3 chapter mention

  4. now. Now Moses was tending the.

  5. Flock of Jethro, his father in law.

  6. The Priest Dominion. And he led the flock to the back

  7. of the desert. Came to.

  8. Horror, which is Sinai. The mountain of God and the

  9. Angel. Capital.

  10. A of the Lord appeared. To him in a flame of fire from

  11. the midst of a Bush, so. Moses looked, and behold, the

  12. Bush was. Burning with fire.

  13. But the Bush was not. Consumed.

  14. In other words, it was staying as it.

  15. Was it wasn't breaking down? Because of the fire, then Moses

  16. said. I will.

  17. Now turn aside and. See this great sight?

  18. Why the? Bush does not burn.

  19. Says that to himself. So when the.

  20. Lord saw that Moses turned. Aside to look God called.

  21. To him from the. Midst of the Bush and said.

  22. Moses, Moses. And he said, Here I am.

  23. Then he said, do not draw near. This place take your sandals off

  24. your feet for the. Place where you stand.

  25. Is holy ground moreover. He said I am.

  26. The God of your Father. The God of Abraham, the God of.

  27. Isaac and the God of Jacob. He didn't say I was because.

  28. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are. Alive.

  29. He's the living God. He didn't say I was the God.

  30. I am. He's the living God.

  31. And Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Are alive as well.

  32. Moses hit his. Face why for he was.

  33. Afraid to look upon God and the Lord.

  34. Said I've surely seen. The impression of my people who

  35. are in Egypt. I've heard they cry because of

  36. their taskmasters. For I know their.

  37. Sorrows. So I've come down to deliver

  38. them. Out of the.

  39. Hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up.

  40. Notice the language from the land.

  41. To a good and large. Land to land flowing with milk

  42. and honey. To the place of the.

  43. Canaanites and then he mentions. The tribes verse. 9 Now

  44. therefore behold the. Cry of the Children of Israel

  45. has come to me. And I've also seen the

  46. oppression with which the Egyptians.

  47. Oppressed them, In other words, the cruelty.

  48. Come now therefore and I will send.

  49. You to pharaoh that. You may bring my people the

  50. children of. Israel out of Egypt.

  51. Moses spent the 1st 40 years of his life.

  52. Growing up and being educated. In the elite Egyptian culture

  53. and schools education, they had mathematics, algebra, geometry,

  54. they studied embalming, they had dentistry.

  55. There are a brilliant people, and Moses learned all.

  56. This. But you know what happened?

  57. He killed an Egyptian who was trying to kill a Hebrew, and the

  58. word had got around and he. Took off because he.

  59. Was then sentenced to death. Pharaoh said find him and kill

  60. him. So he fled Egypt for fear.

  61. Of his life and then. Moses spent the next. 40.

  62. Years serving his father in law, Jethro as a shepherd of his.

  63. Flocks and Midian. Midian is.

  64. Called the backside of the desert, it's.

  65. Isolated. Nothing there.

  66. So Moses. Is now 80 years old and as a

  67. shepherd of a sheep. In the desert, imagine we know

  68. what it's like when we drive in the Outlook.

  69. Of Australia when you go. Out there and it's.

  70. Just using a few sheep. How many hours alone did Moses

  71. think meditate once? The Prince of Egypt in.

  72. Pharaoh's Court. Raised up as the adopted.

  73. Son of Pharaoh's daughter. But now how?

  74. How? How?

  75. Do you think his thoughts were? As he sat there and watched.

  76. Over the sheep. Meditating on the things of God

  77. and how he still prayed. For his people, because he.

  78. Identified with him. He tried to rescue.

  79. Them but did it wrong. They were still under slavery.

  80. They were still under the whip of brutal treatment.

  81. Now Moses worked every day. You'll notes in those. 40 years

  82. as a shepherd. There's no time off.

  83. For a shepherd, you can't go well, I'm going to take two

  84. weeks off. Go on a holiday the.

  85. Sheep have to be watched over. 24 hours a day.

  86. Seven days a week, there's no there's no break.

  87. The Bible teaches us that God calls people who are not idle.

  88. Even notice. That God calls people.

  89. Who are not idle. People who are busy already.

  90. In the things of the. Lord are always the.

  91. Ones, if they get another job, they'll do that as well.

  92. Gideon, remember, God spoke to him.

  93. What was he doing? He was threshing grain.

  94. In Judges chapter 6, he was busy.

    Judges 6 chapter mention

  95. Samuel and. Here's the thing I want you to

  96. think about this. I really want you to concentrate

  97. on. This though only a child.

  98. Was busy serving in the temple. There's no age.

  99. Limit to when you can. Serve the Lord you.

  100. Don't have to be. 181615 My my desire.

  101. Is to see. Children here serving the Lord

  102. in ways other churches think, well, he's just a kid.

  103. Why should he do that? Well, he's saved.

  104. He loves God. Why shouldn't?

  105. He or she do that. And so I want.

  106. You to think. About that with our children.

  107. They're not just away now in a babysitting while you.

  108. You we deal with. Church here.

  109. No, Samuel was just a young. Child and he was already.

  110. Serving the Lord, God had already called him.

  111. Into ministry. What about your children, David?

  112. When he was. Called was what?

  113. Doing what? He was looking.

  114. After his dad's sheep, Jesse's. The flocks in one Samuel 3

  115. Samuel went to check and. Oh well, he's all the sons.

  116. You got any more? I was just one kid, but he's

  117. Outlook. Bring him in, bring him in.

  118. Elijah. When he was called, what was he?

  119. Doing he was ploughing a. Field with a team of oxen

  120. ploughing a field. What were the apostles doing in

  121. Capernaum? When?

  122. Jesus called them they were fishing.

  123. And those that weren't fishing? Were mending their Nets.

  124. Matthew, What was he doing? Matthew was busy.

  125. Tax collecting God has nothing good to say about.

  126. Laziness, and I like that. They had to work if someone.

  127. 'S lazy, you go. If I could find a Cliff to push

  128. this bloke off. Wouldn't make any difference.

  129. Getting paid under false pretences.

  130. Proverbs. 2430 says this. I walked by the field.

  131. Of a lazy person, the vineyard of one with no common sense.

  132. Because laziness and no common sense go hand in hand.

  133. I saw that it was. Overgrown with nettles.

  134. It was covered with weeds. Its walls were broken down then,

  135. as I. Looked and thought about it.

  136. I learned this. Lesson.

  137. What was the lesson? A little extra sleep.

  138. A little more slumber. A little folding of the hands.

  139. To rest then. Poverty will pounce.

  140. On you like a bandit. Scarcity will attack.

  141. You like an armed robber? 2nd Thessalonians chapter 3,

  142. verse 10, Paul wrote. For even when we were with.

  143. You, we commended you this. If anyone will not work.

  144. Neither shall they eat. For we hear that there are some

  145. who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working

  146. at all. Bludges, but our busy bodies

  147. now, those who are such. We command and.

  148. Exhort through our Lord. Jesus is coming from God.

  149. That they work. In quietness and eat their own

  150. bread, no handouts. For blood just.

  151. I want to. Raise this to you.

  152. We have a facility here. Many things happen.

  153. Here through the week on Fridays and Tuesdays, other days as

  154. well. If you're not, If you don't have

  155. a. Job.

  156. I want to give you an opportunity.

  157. You can come here, there's lots of things to do.

  158. You can clean, tidy, there's always paint.

  159. Touch up, prepare there's. Things that you can do here.

  160. And minister to in a way. Until you find a job if you're

  161. looking for work. God wants you to work.

  162. Because for you to work. God says then you're leaked and

  163. I. Want to just commend that?

  164. To you. That there are.

  165. Opportunities. So what?

  166. What? What is it that I could do?

  167. Is there anything that you need done?

  168. Here I'm I'm, I'm between. Jobs at the moment or I'm I'm

  169. out I'm you know I'd. Like to help?

  170. Or I'm not allowed to do this at the moment, but I'd love to come

  171. down. And pitch in.

  172. See any of the pastors. Opportunities exist here at

  173. Calvary. But Moses for 40 years and

  174. received, as I said, the best available education known at the

  175. time. But you know what?

  176. It says here. None of this qualified Moses.

  177. For his future. Path so many.

  178. People talk to me about, well, I've got a.

  179. Diploma in a. Theology or I've got this.

  180. And you know. And as I'm talking.

  181. To them, they don't even. Believe that the Bible is

  182. literal. They don't.

  183. They don't believe. In the word of God, but they

  184. have. Scholastic Education.

  185. Theological Education. But notice God trains in a very

  186. different way. How did he train?

  187. Moses had him be alone. In the desert watching sheep for

  188. 40 years. Think about that as an.

  189. Education, Paul the Great Saul of Tarsus.

  190. Studied on the Galileo. What did God do?

  191. With him when he got. Saved Saul.

  192. Now I'm going to call you Paul. I want to send you.

  193. To Harvard. Princeton University of WA.

  194. No. Want to send you to.

  195. Arabia to the desert. The backside of the desert.

  196. Again, for three years, he went. There you would say.

  197. Three wasted years I go. No, you're going to go to school

  198. three years, Elijah. Was sent to.

  199. A place called Cherith. Where he met a widow and his

  200. son. How long was he there?

  201. It said several. Months to maybe even a year,

  202. Elijah was there learning. The Apostle.

  203. John spent three years with the Lord and then the Lord.

  204. Sent him to the. Island of Patmos for one to 1

  205. 1/2 years learning. Jesus.

  206. Himself. Think about his life.

  207. How long was he in obscurity? Learning?

  208. I'll tell you 30. Years as a Carpenter.

  209. In Nazareth and now Nazareth. Is a Hick town it?

  210. Still is we? Would call it a billigo town.

  211. There's no way you wouldn't. Ride a bike in.

  212. Nazareth because everywhere is up and everywhere is down.

  213. It's a terrible place in that regard.

  214. Jesus spent how long there? 30 years before his first.

  215. Public appearance in the ministry.

  216. Of three years. And then when Jesus was

  217. ministering, how often did Jesus go?

  218. Into a place of solitude. And spend time away from the

  219. gaze of men to be alone with the.

  220. Father, you see, God trains. His workers, but not in.

  221. The way of the world. Anyone who ventures?

  222. Forth to serve the Lord before he or she has sat.

  223. Often alone with God. Is akin to putting.

  224. A ship out to the ocean to sail off into the.

  225. Seas, the open seas. Without a proper ballast.

  226. Or a deep ocean keel. Because in the first real.

  227. Storm. That ship without a deep keel,

  228. without ballast, will be capsized by the 1st ferocious

  229. waves they face. We used to say in the police

  230. these this term. They've got to face their.

  231. First angry man and we had some people.

  232. Go out. And they were.

  233. Fantastic at the Academy and. Elite at this and their.

  234. Knowledge of the law. And they faced their first angry

  235. man. And they went.

  236. I can't. Do this and they quit because

  237. you see, when you're police, it's not everyone's nice to see

  238. you. Welcome coming to the AS lovely

  239. to see you. Angry, angry, angry people and.

  240. You've got to be calm, maintain and do your job.

  241. You see if. You've been with the.

  242. Lord trained and set off and in his presence on.

  243. My office wall is Exodus 3311. Favourite verse in the Bible?

  244. Moses was in the Tabernacle. And he left the Tabernacle.

  245. But it said Joshua. The son of Nun remained.

  246. He stayed, didn't leave. Joshua was in school.

  247. He was sitting with the Lord. There's nothing.

  248. Better, no greater. Education than you can have.

  249. Is to sit alone with God with your Bible open?

  250. Your heart tuned and your ears tuned, but when you've trained?

  251. And you've sat with the Lord. And you go into the open.

  252. Seas. The storms.

  253. And the waves will hit. You but you see the ship will

  254. always turn upright. No matter.

  255. What, like a yacht? The keel just brings it straight

  256. back. Because it sits below the water,

  257. this ballast. This keel is known as.

  258. The call of God because it's. Often in the storm, the only

  259. thing that you have, the mast can be shattered all the.

  260. The ropes broken, but if the. Keel is there, you still have

  261. the ship upright. So Moses was doing what?

  262. Tending the flock. What was he doing?

  263. He was working. He was.

  264. There. Near the mountain of Horeb.

  265. The mountain of God or. Sinai.

  266. And he looks and he sees this Bush burning.

  267. But the Bush. I mean, he's seen bushes burning

  268. in the in the. Desert before he's had lightning

  269. strike. But the thing about this.

  270. Bush is as. As it burned the Bush.

  271. Wasn't being consumed. It wasn't just just.

  272. Falling apart, it wasn't providing the energy.

  273. The wood is the energy. For the fire.

  274. The energy was from God. 40. Years of desert.

  275. Silence. Moses is alone.

  276. And finally, it's broken. By a burning.

  277. Bush Moses is now ready. 80 years it's been.

  278. How often have you complained and said to God?

  279. I've been playing, praying for. Weeks for this, for months for

  280. this. You see, he has.

  281. Completely changed. Moses had become a man of God.

  282. You know why? Because he knows he's nothing.

  283. He's surrendered. He's done.

  284. I had that in my life. Had.

  285. To come to a. Place where I was, Absolutely.

  286. Done the Bible. Says in Proverbs chapter 3,

    Proverbs 3 chapter mention

  287. Trust in the Lord with all. Of your heart.

  288. And then it says this. And here's where.

  289. You and I get caught out, Lean not.

  290. Oh, I think lean not unto your own understanding.

  291. Because you don't know what to do.

  292. I don't know what to do. Remember how long we had?

  293. Four children they'd be. Fighting in A room.

  294. Go in there and everyone. Said it was his, it was her, it

  295. was him. So we'd lined the four of them

  296. up. Someone was guilty and.

  297. The other three were going hey, come here.

  298. Boy, how come us? But we didn't know who.

  299. Who? Who was the instigator or?

  300. The one. So we shared it trust.

  301. In the Lord with all. Your.

  302. Heart lean not on your own understanding now in.

  303. All your ways. Acknowledge him.

  304. That means for everything that you plan where we're going to

  305. send our kids to school. Do I take this job?

  306. Do I? What do I?

  307. What do we do? We.

  308. Buy this car do we wait in all your ways acknowledge him and

  309. what and he that's. Let God be God.

  310. In your life, stop. Trying to be God.

  311. I've tried that. It's very hard trying to be God.

  312. And it says and he. Shall direct your ways your

  313. paths. And it says just to finish.

  314. Off. Do not be wise.

  315. In your own eyes. I know what to do.

  316. No you don't. My God does.

  317. It was a normal. Day like any other.

  318. Day for the shepherd Moses. He had no premonition or today

  319. I'm going to. Speak to the Lord you're.

  320. Going to see a burning Bush, something special.

  321. I sense it in my Wheaties as I'm eating it, watching.

  322. The sheep. No special signs that something

  323. was coming. You see, God speaks to ordinary

  324. people on ordinary days. Do you know the rapture is going

  325. to occur on an ordinary day? The rapture, The removal.

  326. Of the the Church called out by God.

  327. Is going to happen on. An ordinary day.

  328. The 80 year old shepherd's attention, however, is.

  329. Caught by. Seeing this ordinary thorn Bush

  330. on fire, Moses. Looked and it says he spoke to

  331. himself. And you do, because you know

  332. what? She can't talk back.

  333. There's no one around him and he says, oh, now turn aside and.

  334. See this great sight? Why does not the Bush burn down?

  335. This Bush just kept. Burning and burning, yet not.

  336. Being consumed, you see. Things in our lives don't just

  337. happen, man. I've learnt that our lives are

  338. not random. You know when you go a different

  339. way to work, you just I'll turn down the street.

  340. Where you go? You know who's guiding you in

  341. that? Regard the Lord.

  342. There's something I don't know when we get to heaven, your

  343. your, your guardian angels going to say thank God you're dead

  344. looking after you, man. You just go all over the place

  345. and I've been running and protecting and stopping this and

  346. I'm so glad you're here. I can put.

  347. My feet up, finally. Our lives are not random.

  348. God is constantly seeking you. Note with me in verse.

  349. Four, it says at that. Same moment Moses turned aside.

  350. It was at that moment because moment Moses turned aside.

  351. That God. Spoke to Moses, if Moses.

  352. Said Benny Bush and just carried on.

  353. Guess what? No discussion.

  354. That's it. No discussion.

  355. Nothing's going to happen from there.

  356. The bushes burn in our lives. Cars crash.

  357. They're written off. Lives are taken and what do so

  358. many people do at such critical. Times in their lives.

  359. It's just a coincidence, you know, it's just a coincidence.

  360. A Bush burning unusually and most people would not trouble

  361. themselves. With it.

  362. Yeah, it's just, I mean, bushes burn all the time.

  363. A voice speaking to you. Moses, Moses.

  364. But you're too busy. To notice.

  365. You're too busy to pay. Attention.

  366. I bother. When God has been placing.

  367. Something in your heart, over and over and over.

  368. God says what is going to take place.

  369. To Moses, you see, here's. The here's the deal, people say.

  370. Wish God would speak to me. Guess what?

  371. He's speaking to you all. The time the problem is we're

  372. not listening. He is speaking to you.

  373. All the time, much more than you.

  374. Think, but if you're not in his word, then you've you're

  375. virtually. Got your hand over his mouth.

  376. And so God wish you'd. Speak to me and that's what you

  377. do, because you're not in His word.

  378. So often. God is trying to get.

  379. Your attention for you to. Find out what this event that

  380. moment. This thing that's just.

  381. Happened in your life at that moment What it might mean for

  382. you? You see, there is a purpose.

  383. In our sorrows, God allows. Pain.

  384. He doesn't 'cause it. He allows pain to come our.

  385. Way he allows storms. To hit us, there's a.

  386. Purpose in our sorrows, sometimes your Son or your.

  387. Daughter goes astray. What do you do?

  388. Do you seek the ways of the world to fix it?

  389. A God? What God's?

  390. Wanting is you to be driven to your knees, to the position

  391. where you become the most powerful for you to.

  392. Pray and intercede. For your son and in your

  393. daughter to be consumed in prayer.

  394. For them at this time. He's using two things.

  395. He's allowing this to happen. But he's also creating.

  396. This and allowing this to happen so that you will see where he

  397. wants your attention, your focus.

  398. There's a purpose in our sorrows.

  399. Moses answered the Lord verse. Four in the Hebrew, literally,

  400. it's. I'm here.

  401. It's me. It's.

  402. Pretty funny, isn't it? Moses is now nobody.

  403. After 40. Years in the desert.

  404. And this is just what God wanted to hear from Moses.

  405. That's what I want to hear. Today this is what God still.

  406. Desires to hear from you when he speaks and.

  407. Isaiah 6 verse 8. Isaiah.

    Isaiah 6:8

  408. Tells of the time. That king Uzziah died.

  409. Also I heard the voice of the Lord.

  410. Remember, he had a vision of the throne of God.

  411. Isaiah says I heard the voice of the Lord.

  412. I saw the. Temple of God.

  413. And a voice came from the temple.

  414. That said, who shall I send? Who will go for us?

  415. It's interesting. The voice of the Lord.

  416. That came out from the Throne said.

  417. Who will go for us? Didn't say who will go for me

  418. then I said. Here am I, Isaiah said.

  419. Send me this. For so when the Lord saw that,

  420. he turned aside to. Look, God called to him.

  421. Notice. It was only when Moses turned

  422. got he's got his attention, I'm going to check this out that

  423. that's when God spoke to him. Moses, Moses, he said.

  424. Here I am, he said. Don't draw near, don't come any.

  425. Closer, take your sandals. Off your feet, the place.

  426. Where you stand is holy ground. Moses, Moses.

  427. Moshe, Moshe. This is Semitic culture.

  428. He repeats his name. Why?

  429. Because in Semitic culture. The repetition of calling 1's

  430. name. As God said to.

  431. Moses was this in that. Culture calling someone's name

  432. by repeating their name twice was seen as a way of.

  433. Expressing endearment, affection.

  434. Moses. Moses, holy ground.

  435. Think about this. He's in the desert.

  436. The word holy. Means.

  437. Set apart, Holy, set apart. It means separated and here.

  438. God is saying to Moses. I want you to separate.

  439. Yourself from your past, from your immediate responsibilities,

  440. and give me your full attention. Now listen.

  441. So he's telling him to take his sandals.

  442. Off It's not the Bush. That's holy.

  443. It's the ground. Notice but.

  444. Why the removal of the? Sandals.

  445. I mean, think about it. Dirty old sandals.

  446. These are shepherd's sandals. There's a lot of sheep when

  447. you're on a shepherd. 'S sandal a lot of sweat.

  448. Sand. And if he takes his?

  449. Sandals off, Doesn't he still have dirty?

  450. Feet. Absolutely.

  451. He's in the desert. After all, God wanted.

  452. Moses to see. That he wanted nothing between

  453. Moses and himself. His shoes off and Moses discards

  454. his sandals. His feet would now proclaim good

  455. news of redemption and deliverance.

  456. Paul writes how beautiful are the feet of those who preach the

  457. gospel of grace. Jesus washed feet.

  458. Didn't he you? Going to serve me sandals.

  459. Off. Let me wash.

  460. I'm washing your feet, he said. No, Jesus said, unless I wash

  461. your feet. You ain't part of us.

  462. How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel.

  463. Of peace who bring glad tidings. Of good news, Nothing between

  464. Moses and himself. The priests when they served in

  465. the temple, guess what? No shoes.

  466. No shoes. In and around.

  467. No shoes, Moses. Hit his face as God speaks he's

  468. he's scared. And tells him that he is the

  469. God. Of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

  470. I'm the God of men. Moses, you know your ancestors,

  471. Men who have failed. Moses.

  472. But with me each one accomplished the extraordinary.

  473. Abraham, Isaac. And Jacob, you see God.

  474. In the burning. Bush the Bible.

  475. Tells us in Deuteronomy. 424 and Hebrews 12. 29 That God is what

  476. a consuming fire. And fire in the Bible is often.

  477. Representative of judgement. But this is not judgement.

  478. God is a consuming fire. So what's what's?

  479. Going on here, God is the consuming.

  480. Fire to those who reject. Him and continue on in sin.

  481. But to us. He's not to consume.

  482. Us but to consume. All.

  483. The dross all in US. And about us that is contrary to

  484. His Holiness is to be burned up refined verse 7 and the Lord

  485. said I have seen the oppression of the people.

  486. I've heard they cry. I know.

  487. Their Sorrows, verse 8. I've.

  488. Come down to deliver them out of the hand.

  489. Of the Egyptians. And to bring them up, look at

  490. the language there. Verse 9 now.

  491. Therefore, behold the cry of the.

  492. Egyptian of the Children of. Israel has come to me.

  493. And also. Have also seen their oppression.

  494. He says I want to send you to Pharaoh.

  495. I want them out of Egypt. I want them.

  496. Out of slavery, you're. Going to be the one I'm going to

  497. send. This is an amazing.

  498. Verse as I was. Preparing this I.

  499. Stopped as I got to this verse because it's loaded.

  500. And it struck me. Because this verse not only.

  501. Speaks directly and contextually, first and

  502. specifically to the. Deliverance of the Children of.

  503. Israel to be set free. From.

  504. Slavery in Egypt, but here you and I are here.

  505. All. Scripture is given by

  506. inspiration of God. You and I are also in this

  507. verse. How's that?

  508. Because here it speaks to each of us.

  509. What? Christ, our Deliverer has done.

  510. For every one of us. We see.

  511. Here the absolute, free, unconditional grace of the God

  512. of Abraham, who alone. Carried out the work of.

  513. Israel's and our salvation. How firstly, he did.

  514. This to fulfil his promises. To Abraham.

  515. Genesis, 1513. Back then God said to Abraham

  516. before his name was. Even chained to Abraham?

  517. No, certainly this is what's going to happen.

  518. I guarantee, Abraham, that your descendants will be strangers in

  519. a land. That is not theirs will.

  520. Serve them, they'll afflict them for 400 years.

  521. He tells them all this before Abraham's even had a child, and

  522. also the nation whom they serve. I'll judge.

  523. I'll judge the. Egyptians afterward, when all my

  524. people come. Out they shall.

  525. Come out with great possessions, they're going to leave loaded,

  526. they're going to get 400. Years of salary opened.

  527. The God of Israel did not come down verse 8 to see if.

  528. The subjects of his. Promise Abraham's seed.

  529. Were in. Such a condition to merit.

  530. His salvation? No.

  531. These were God's chosen people. Here's the news and the.

  532. Church, A lot of churches. Are doing a lot of damage at the

  533. moment they. Still are God's chosen people.

  534. They'll always be God's chosen people.

  535. Romans chapter 910 and. 11 read them.

  536. God's promise, His covenant promise to Abraham didn't stop.

  537. God say, Oh yeah, no. They're no longer my covenant

  538. people. As people coming up with.

  539. All this stuff on the Internet and places around that, you

  540. know, no. No, there there's this.

  541. Replacement the churches replaces.

  542. No, we have not. And there's a lot of.

  543. Christians now go yeah, poo poo and.

  544. They're not the Israelis. Of the of the Bible.

  545. Well, who are they? Then don't fall for that God's

  546. covenant with Israel, thou be his chosen people, and once the.

  547. Church has raptured. And.

  548. See Israel kick off again. Where they left off the 70th

  549. year of Daniel's prophecy. Here's the deal.

  550. The God of. Israel did not come down.

  551. Verse 8 to see if they needed. Some saving or merited?

  552. Merited his salvation. No these.

  553. Were God's chosen people. God had chosen.

  554. Later on in Deuteronomy. Chapter 7 Verse 7 looking back

    Deuteronomy 7:7

  555. the Lord. Did not set his love.

  556. On you nor choose you because you are more than number than

  557. any other people. For you were the least.

  558. Of all peoples, but because the Lord loves you.

  559. And because he would keep the oath.

  560. Which he swore to your. Father's the covenant.

  561. And he's still going to keep it. The Lord has brought you.

  562. Out with a mighty hand redeem you from the House of.

  563. Bondage from the hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt.

  564. God's love for you as it is for Israel.

  565. Is not because we were something special, Paul says.

  566. We're the base. We're the low.

  567. Ones aren't we? God didn't.

  568. Choose. Israel because they are

  569. fantastic. He chose Israel.

  570. Simply, and He chose you. Simply and here's.

  571. Where we cannot understand it. Because he loves you.

  572. I can't comprehend we want a reason.

  573. Well, there's got to be. No, God chose you.

  574. Because he loves you. That's what we don't we.

  575. It's funny how we don't accept love.

  576. We've got. Well, there's a reason.

  577. What's going on here? God loves you not because you

  578. have something awesome to offer Him.

  579. Quite the opposite, in fact. He loves us.

  580. Just because he loves us his. Love for you and I, and for

  581. Israel. Is not based.

  582. On how good I'm doing. Or he's a good little boy.

  583. Or how much you're doing. Or how?

  584. Poorly. I'm very poor kid.

  585. Let's help this kid out. Or how much we have to.

  586. Offer him man. Get this.

  587. I. Hear People's.

  588. They'd make a great. Christian, this person, people

  589. often. Say to me they would be a good.

  590. Christian because. They can do this, this and that.

  591. They'd be great for church. No, God's not.

  592. Looking for the celebrities the world is.

  593. God's looking for someone who says I'm I'm not very good, I

  594. can't do much perfect because in you.

  595. I'll get all the glory. And it's going to be miraculous,

  596. Paul knew. All that he had to.

  597. Offer him religion training. Pharisee of the Pharisees of the

  598. tribe. Of Benjamin and he said, But you

  599. know what? I have to offer God rubbish,

  600. filthy rags, God loves us and here's.

  601. The other thing that you can't comprehend, it's unconditional.

  602. It's not conditional, it's unconditional.

  603. God's love for you is unconditional once you grasp

  604. this. Grace.

  605. What is grace? Unmerited favour getting what

  606. you don't. Deserve.

  607. You will go through the day, your day expecting the.

  608. Lord to bless you to. Shower you with His grace, not

  609. because of who we are, what we've done, but simply and

  610. solely. Because of who he is.

  611. And that's why we worship Him. Because we don't deserve

  612. anything. Paul tells us in Romans chapter.

  613. 5 verse six you see? At just the right.

  614. Time when we were still. Powerless Christ died.

  615. For the ungodly, our deliverer. Very rarely will anyone die for

  616. a righteous. Person though for a good.

  617. Person. Someone might possibly dare to

  618. die, but God demonstrates His own love for us.

  619. For you in this. While we were still sinners,

  620. Christ died. For.

  621. Us back to our text. Verse 8 God says.

  622. To Moses. So I have come down.

  623. To deliver. Them out of the hand of the

  624. Egyptians, and to bring them up. From the land to a.

  625. Good and large. Land, A land flowing with milk

  626. and honey. Who came down for us?

  627. Who came down for you? We celebrate.

  628. It each year, don't we? Birth of a child of.

  629. Bethlehem. Why did he come?

  630. Philippians chapter 2 who? Being in the very nature.

    Philippians 2 chapter mention

  631. God. Jesus.

  632. Did not consider equality. With God something to be used to

  633. his own advantage. Rather, he made himself nothing.

  634. He came down by taking the very nature.

  635. Of a servant being made in the in human likeness.

  636. Being found in appearance as a man, God came down.

  637. He humbled. Himself, by becoming obedient to

  638. death, he became a man. And then he allowed.

  639. Crucifixion, even death on a cross.

  640. Hebrews, chapter 2, verse 9. But we do see.

    Hebrews 2:9

  641. Jesus, who was made lower. He came down than the angels.

  642. For a little while. Now crowned with glory and

  643. honour. Because he suffered death so

  644. that by the grace. Of God, he might taste death for

  645. everyone. It says.

  646. Here in Exodus I have. Surely seen one the oppression

  647. of my people who are in Egypt. And have two heard their?

  648. Cry because of their taskmasters.

  649. And three, I know their. Sorrows.

  650. The cries of the nation of Israel reach.

  651. The ears of the Lord. And he knew their affliction.

  652. You know, Every Wednesday when we gather to pray, you know.

  653. We cry out to God. And do you know he hears?

  654. The cries of his people still. When we gather on a Wednesday,

  655. what we're here for. We're here to cry out to God.

  656. Heal those. People in our fellowship.

  657. Help the situation touch. This man bring salvation.

  658. To the situation. Israel's oppressed.

  659. State their sorrows, their tears, their sighs.

  660. Their heavy bondage was. Displayed and known all about.

  661. By God. Their hearts.

  662. Turned toward heaven. Finally, it was time for them to

  663. be. Delivered.

  664. They knew they. Called out to God.

  665. God. Help us.

  666. That's the only time. You can get saved when you

  667. recognise you need. Saving.

  668. It's hard to save. Someone when they don't know

  669. they need saving. You see, that was.

  670. Your, your life and mine. Before.

  671. When we were without Christ, we were.

  672. Lost. I know I was.

  673. We were. Ashamed.

  674. I was ashamed of. The person I was.

  675. We were guilty. We knew we were guilty.

  676. We were struggling, weren't we? We were living.

  677. Without hope, you could attend parties, you could be the the

  678. popular. Person, but you were the.

  679. Loneliest soul on the planet, weren't you?

  680. I know God knew. Recent report done on Australia

  681. says this it indicates. A significant crisis of hope.

  682. In Australia with only 19. Percent of the population

  683. feeling hopeful. About the future of the world.

  684. It's interesting. Come on, about a month.

  685. Ago the prayers of the. Youth on a Friday night as we

  686. went around the room. Just the guys.

  687. And how many of them, four if not 5, prayed?

  688. For the future of our world, they.

  689. Were concerned about it themselves.

  690. I was staggered by that, fearful of the world this pervasive.

  691. Sense of hopelessness in Australia.

  692. Is particularly acute, as I said.

  693. Among the young, younger generations.

  694. Who are? Grappling with systematic,

  695. systemic, sorry economic and social challenges.

  696. That means 81. Percent of Australians have no.

  697. Hope for a future? Matthew Chapter 9 verse 36 it

    Matthew 9:36

  698. says when. Jesus saw the crowds.

  699. Coming to him, he had compassion for them.

  700. It says he's got. He felt it here because they

  701. were harassed, helpless. Sheep what?

  702. Without a shepherd. That's how you and I.

  703. Were we were without hope. And that's why he came down.

  704. God knows us, He has known us. Before the world was formed.

  705. And he knows us intimately. Psalm 139 says you have.

  706. Searched me Lord. You know me, you see.

  707. It says Psalm 56 eight that God. Places every.

  708. Tear that we shed in his bottle. God counts his people's size.

  709. He puts them out, tears into his.

  710. Bottle. He says so.

  711. I have come down to. Deliver.

  712. Them out of the hand of the Egyptians to bring them up, it

  713. says in. Luke, 1910.

  714. From the son. Of man came to seek.

  715. And to save the lost. It's you and me.

  716. God would bring his. People up out of Egypt.

  717. And he had a place prepared for them to go.

  718. Well, do you and I have a place? Prepared for us to go, Jesus

  719. told his disciples. Let not your.

  720. Heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also

  721. in me. In my father's house, In many

  722. mansions, If we're not. So I would have told you, I

  723. Jesus goes to prepare a place for you, not the Canaanites.

  724. Jesus says I go to prepare a place for you, a place prepared.

  725. For when we will be taken. Up 1 Thessalonians. 4. 17 then

  726. we who are. Alive and remain shall.

  727. Be caught up together. With them in the.

  728. Clouds to meet the Lord. In the air.

  729. He says so. I've come down to deliver them

  730. out of the hand of the Egyptians.

  731. Jesus Christ also came to deliver us from the.

  732. Slavery of sin of Satan. And the fear of death you.

  733. Used to do things before. Christ.

  734. And you hated doing them. Then after you did them, you're

  735. ashamed of what you did, ashamed of the way you.

  736. Behaved ashamed of the actions. The things that you said.

  737. The things that you said to your dad.

  738. To your mum when you got angry when you you said things that.

  739. You wish. Oh, I finally got to take.

  740. Them back. You see, Jesus came to break the

  741. bondage of sin, it says in one John. 38 The reason?

  742. The Son of God. Appeared was to destroy the

  743. works of the devil. And he's hold over us in

  744. Colossians chapter one, verse 13.

  745. For he has rescued. Us from the Dominion of.

  746. Darkness. It's where we used.

  747. To live and brought us into the Kingdom of the Son he loves.

  748. In whom we have now. Redemption and the forgiveness

  749. of sins you. See our greatest.

  750. Problem is not politicians. Our greatest problem is sin.

  751. We sin this thing that drives us.

  752. Why did I say that? How can I say that?

  753. What? How can I get so?

  754. Angry, Paul says in me, that is, in my flesh.

  755. Dwells no good. Thing the greatest problem is

  756. sin. A problem that can't.

  757. Be solved by a philosopher? Let's talk about it.

  758. Talking about it doesn't make any difference.

  759. I still have it a. Religious teacher.

  760. Religion doesn't do anything for me.

  761. No sinners need a saviour. Deliver someone to rescue.

  762. Us, we were out. Surfing one time quite a few

  763. years back and there's this kid on a board and he's.

  764. Out going out, further and further.

  765. Just sitting facing the ocean. And we're sitting.

  766. A fairway out the back. Waiting for a bigger.

  767. Waves and this kids further out and I'm thinking.

  768. Something, something's right here.

  769. And he's so I paddled. Over to this kid.

  770. Eventually, because it was just not right, I said what's going

  771. on mate? He says I'm scared, he's scared

  772. and he was just gripping his board.

  773. But you see, no one would save him.

  774. Lifesavers were on the beach. They didn't know he needed

  775. saving. You see you and I.

  776. We were scared. But you know what we didn't

  777. know? What?

  778. To do we. Didn't know where to turn.

  779. No one understood the problem. That we had.

  780. Eight things I'm going to give. You as we close, Jesus delivered

  781. us. It means rescued us from danger,

  782. for we could not. Deliver ourselves from the

  783. guilt. And penalty of sin.

  784. How do you? Get rid of guilt.

  785. Yeah, OK. I forgive you.

  786. But I I still. Did it?

  787. I'm ashamed. God removes that, He said.

  788. No. I make you a new person.

  789. I take the shame that you have. And I place it on my son Jesus.

  790. Could and he did deliver us for we.

  791. Each were in danger of. Spending eternity separated

  792. from. God, the Bible calls that hell.

  793. Secondly, Jesus little bit. Us from the power and authority

  794. of Satan. Ephesians.

    Ephesians 2 chapter mention

  795. Chapter 2 says. We were once the children of the

  796. devil. I can say no now.

  797. You, you have the power to say. No, I'm not going to do that

  798. now. I'm not going to watch.

  799. That I'm not going to read that. I'm not going to say that you

  800. now. Have the power of the holy.

  801. Spirit in you to go no. He gave us thirdly.

  802. An exodus? What's an exodus?

  803. An exit God translated us. Jesus did not release us from.

  804. Bondage to go. OK, you're saved now.

  805. Good luck to wander aimlessly. No, He moved us from the Kingdom

  806. of darkness. Into the Kingdom of Light.

  807. And he has made us. Victors over Satan.

  808. 'S Kingdom of Darkness. When we.

  809. Wrestle against the principalities of.

  810. Darkness and Satan. The Bible.

  811. Says if we submit to. God.

  812. You know what we can do? We can.

  813. Resist the devil. And you know what?

  814. We do the third thing. Submit yourself to God.

  815. Resist the devil, it says. He will flee from us.

  816. It's. Changed God delivered Israel.

  817. From the bondage of Egypt and he took them into the promised

  818. land. Fourthly, Jesus redeemed us.

  819. It means to release a. Prisoner from the payment of a

  820. ransom. Jesus met the holy demands.

  821. Of God's law and Calvary. What was that?

  822. The wages of sin is death. Jesus died in.

  823. My place. That's why the tribulation

  824. period has nothing. To do with the church we've

  825. passed. From the judgement of God.

  826. My judgement, your judgement fell upon Christ.

  827. And it killed him. But now you and I have been set

  828. free. The resurrection.

  829. We rise with him, and he has lastly forgiven.

  830. US. You see redemption and

  831. forgiveness go together. There's nothing like being

  832. forgiven. I love it when Helen forgives

  833. me. You know what?

  834. Forgiveness. Means it means to send away or

  835. to cancel a debt. It means we can never be

  836. enslaved again. That's why salvation is

  837. wonderful. I can't go back understand and

  838. why is it once? I've always saved.

  839. If you say through Jesus Christ, it is definite because it's all

  840. what he's. Done.

  841. And that ain't changing. What he did on the cross.

  842. Can't be undone. We deserve none of.

  843. This it's called Grace we. Didn't earn any of this.

  844. The children of Israel had only to shed the.

  845. Blood of the lamb. To be delivered.

  846. But for you? For me.

  847. Jesus had to shed his blood. He had to die.

  848. It was his blood, innocent. Blood that dripped down his arm

  849. and from his wounds, from the impaling of the cross.

  850. It was his blood that delivered us.

  851. That's why our. Deliverance is once and for all,

  852. and Jesus said it is finished. Your old life finished guilt.

  853. Finished the debt pay. Father, into your hands I

  881. masters and he will tell you your mission and each one of you

  882. have a mission. It's far beyond what you ever

  883. thought. You have a mission because we're

  884. in the business. Of serving the God.

  885. Of Israel. We're in the mission of serving

  886. someone. Who delivers people from?
