Kason's Testimony

Thank you Gina. Thank you praise and worship

team. Every every Sunday I just I walk

out of here more encouraged and thanks to you guys.

So thank you. So it's my last day here in the

United States for a little bit. Tomorrow morning I head back

overseas to Ireland for my 4th, 3rd, 3rd year playing.

Well third full year playing professional basketball

overseas. Obviously, you know all the

glory goes to my Lord Savior, Jesus Christ.

I mean three years. I mean it's it's been it's been

a journey, but he's been with me every step of the way in the

good times and in the bad times. And there's been, there's been

some rough times being away from my parents, obviously being away

from you guys, it's hard. But he, he keeps me encouraged

and he keeps me grounded in him, so definitely makes it easier.

So today I wanted to do a rap from my new album that I dropped

in July, which again, all thanks to glory and to Jesus Christ for

that, because I did not think I would ever drop one.

It's I've been rapping since I was in 9th grade and I just

thought it'll just be something I can just do on the side, like

something that I can just send out to people like whatever.

And God blessed me to meet a beat maker that actually trained

for basketball. I didn't even know he did beats

until like this past year and he helped me, you know, make this

album. So the song that I'm doing today

is called Real Love. And what the song talks about

primarily is just not chasing after acceptance or chasing

after love from the world and looking for acceptance and

satisfaction from people. That's something I've had to

learn a lot over the last year. Lot of ups and downs with that.

Just finding myself struggling with, you know, not having a lot

of friends, you know, not being in a relationship, just like

always. Just like God.

Like, why? Like, why?

You know, why not. And basically the what he told

me was because you're making that your priority instead of

me. And that's something that hit me

really hard is like, Dang, like I really been putting all this

stuff before my relationship with Christ.

And when you do that, you never get full satisfaction.

You never get full happiness. And to be honest, there's no

greater sign of love than what he did for us.

I mean, he died for us. And I'll have a decent amount of

friends. None of them can ever say that

they did that for me. A lot of people that I know,

none of them can say they can do that for me.

Jesus died for me, to save me in my mess and my struggles.

And not just me, but everyone in here, everyone in the world.

And that's love. So why would I waste my time

trying to please other people who haven't even done anything

close to that, you know? So this song pretty much just

tells me pretty much just says like, I'm done chasing after the

world's acceptance, I'm done chasing after the world's love,

because real love was already shown to me 2000 years ago.

So that's that's this song and I hope you guys are blessed by it.

They say they love you when they always down, but when your backs

against the wall tell me how come they don't come around.

Say they always going to be a friend, but when you reach out

when you hurt and all your messages get left on red only

hit you when they ask a favor and only care about you if it

means that cater, they call me friend while I call a fake.

And they say that I'm a dog with everyone a snake.

Hard to trust anyone because people play with hearts who's

real and who's fake. It's hard to tell apart.

So you can miss me with the lies.

Keep that world love cuz real love was shown to me from my God

above. Check it.

Who won't? You know what sin is only son to

die in place of a bunch of sinners to be spitting in his

face die on a cross and rise up in three days And not for

salvation. Cuz he knows we need grace die

for the ones who chose to kill him.

Tell me when the? Last time a hero died for a

villain, huh? Wasn't forced to, but he was

willing so that I could be free and can be forgiven.

That's a real love. No one can talk.

That chasing love from the world.

Yeah, I'm off that because that left me broken.

But in Christ, I made whole. Even in the land of the Snakes.

Jay Cole. The world takes souls, But Jesus

saves souls. The world abandoned.

Jesus brings you to his table. The world to break your heart.

Jesus, he can mend it. The world of fake friends.

That shows you what a true friend is.

Proverbs 1824 shows us how God is always going to be there for

sure. You can have a lot of friends

that's fake under the covers, but got a friend of 6 closer to

was then a brother. So be careful.

Love the people you let call your friend because 99% of them

and nothing but pretend. And don't be chasing after no

one. God is calling you.

He got a real love he wants to share with all of you.

A slave to the world. Acceptance.

I was shackled without was chained.

I was chasing enough to fame one of.

And know my name till I felt the love of Christ.

Now with Jesus that I claimed call me weird, call me lame, to

live is Christ and to die his game.

Don't you wish we did more of that while he was here?

Yeah, Pretty cool stuff. So we're grateful.

What's that? What's that?

Yeah, yeah, whatever that means. I don't know.

Be careful what you. Yeah, yeah, right.

I got to watch that. But anyway, you know, Kason has

shared his testimony, his life, he's, he's been a huge impact in

this place and in our own lives personally.

And I know Louis and Terry are excited, but they're also heavy

hearted because hey, that's that could be a wrap.

I know they're excited, but they are heavy hearted.

I got a future. Put me on your next album,

Carlon to say no way, No way. But anyway, we want to pray for

Case, and Lewis asked me to pray because it's too, too tough for

too emotional for him right now. But but anyway, come on over to

Lou, Father God, we're just so grateful.

For how we've been blessed by this young man, his life, how

he's impacted all of us and continually impacts us.

And father, I thought of that verse this morning.

For Cason and to him who was able to do exceedingly

abundantly above all that he could ask or think according to

the power that works in him. Oh Lord, you have such a

wonderful journey ahead for this young man.

Not any on the courts, but Lord in the city of Dublin.

As he meets and interacts with the community, the public, the

coaches, the players, I know his real vision is to play well and

excel, but also Lord, to be able to reach into people's hearts

and share the gospel where people could come to know you

and be born again and get saved. So Lord, we just commit him to

you. Lord safe travels as he goes,

Good health, an excellent year. We'll be following him, Lord,

and watching him and. Participating in his journey and

Lord, we pray one day you bring them back safely to us again.

The ministry here strengthen Terry and Louis.

In this time let them just sense your presence in such a powerful

way that they'll feel like he's not even gone, but that that all

three of them are still together by the power of your Holy

Spirit. And so Lord, again we just thank

you for the blessing today and we pray all these things in

Jesus name and all God's people said Amen.
