  1. Hello, this is Kevin Abraham, operations manager for Grace FM.

  2. We're stepping away from our regularly scheduled programming

  3. for an important message from Pastor Clock Loafer and Pastor

  4. Lewis Harrell. Please stay tuned for a re air

  5. of this past Sunday's message from Calvary Chapel,

  6. Westmoreland. It has been edited for time

  7. constraints. The full message can be heard in

  8. its entirety on YouTube at youtube.com back slash CCW

  9. online. The normal program that airs at

  10. this time, Living Waters of Grace will still be airing at

  11. 7:30 in the morning, 12:00 PM and 2:00 AM and the programming

  12. that airs at 5:30 PM. Normally Pastor Ed Taylor

  13. abounding grace, he can be heard at 4:30 in the morning still

  14. weekdays. Without further delay, here is

  15. our special programming. I'd like to read from Psalm 46.

  16. God is our refuge and strength have very present help and

  17. trouble. Therefore we will not fear.

  18. Even though the earth be removed, and though the

  19. mountains be carried into the midst of the sea, though its

  20. waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with

  21. its swelling, there is a river whose streams shall make glad.

  22. The city of God, the holy place of the Tabernacle.

  23. The Most High God is in the midst of her.

  24. She shall not be moved. God shall help her.

  25. Just at the break of dawn, the nation's rage, the kingdoms

  26. removed, He uttered his voice. The earth melted.

  27. The Lord of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge.

  28. Come, behold the works of the Lord who has made desolations in

  29. the earth. He makes wars cease to the end

  30. of the earth. He breaks the bow and cuts the

  31. spear in two. He burns a chariot in the fire.

  32. Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the

  33. nations. I will be exalted in the earth.

  34. The Lord of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge.

  35. Amen. Let's pray, Father God, this is

  36. a very, very, very special Sunday for your bride all over

  37. the earth, Lord, where believers are gathering together in Jesus

  38. name and pastors are asking you to anoint them and pour through

  39. them that they might bring hope and comfort and peace in the

  40. midst of so many different kind of emotions of fear, anxiety,

  41. anger, whatever it is, Lord, that we are struggling with.

  42. We lay all these things before you today.

  43. As Erica said in her testimony the other night, Charlie's wife

  44. that she doesn't understand any of this, but she says you do,

  45. Lord, you know, you understand, you know why it was Charlie's

  46. time to commend your presence. And Lord, we're all grieving as

  47. a soldier, as a martyr, left this world doing the best she

  48. could. Not a perfect guy.

  49. He made mistakes like we all do. Lord, he said things that I'm

  50. sure at times He said, why did I say it that way?

  51. And the same with me or Lewis or anybody else that proclaims

  52. messages in the church and the Word of God.

  53. Sometimes the way we say things aren't really the way we want to

  54. say them from our heart that has come out wrong and then people

  55. are offended or they don't understand.

  56. I pray, Lord, there would be no offense today and what it is we

  57. do here. First of all, what really

  58. matters is you and that we do exactly what you want us to do

  59. today in this service, to share your word, to talk about things,

  60. to listen. And Lord, the only side we want

  61. to be on is your side Lord. So Lord, fill us with your

  62. spirit today and have your way in all of us.

  63. We pray in Jesus name, Amen. So I wanted to thank you for

  64. coming today, those of you who are here in the building

  65. personally and those who are watching on YouTube and

  66. listening on Grace FM. We stream these services live.

  67. So it's a blessing. We're glad you're here.

  68. I'm encouraged to see you here. We need each other and we'll

  69. talk about that a little bit in First Corinthians 12, how every

  70. part of Christ's body is important and how we comfort and

  71. strengthen each other through the different gifts that He

  72. gives us. This past week unbelievable

  73. emotions. I was working out in Doylestown,

  74. PA and and my phone started blowing up with Texas.

  75. I was wondering what's going on something serious must have

  76. happened. And then I my daughter Jessica

  77. told me that Charlie was shot. I I couldn't believe it.

  78. Immediately I went to prayer and asked the Lord for mercy and

  79. healing and that He would be able to still be with us.

  80. And shortly after that, it was documented that he didn't make

  81. it. He died and he went into the

  82. presence of our Lord Jesus. The sadness, the pain of our

  83. hearts is beyond understanding. A lot of people have confusion.

  84. A lot of Christians have confusion.

  85. They're asking how could this happen?

  86. Why did it happen? But Erica's testimony, if you

  87. didn't see it the other night, we did send it out by e-mail to

  88. all of the people that are on constant contact with Calvary

  89. Chapel. So it's another good reason to

  90. sign up. So you do get feedback from the

  91. pastors. How are we processing this?

  92. How are we dealing with it? And she knows God's sovereign,

  93. and she proclaimed that it was his time.

  94. And the things she said in that time with her testimony were

  95. overwhelmingly anointed by the Spirit of God, the presence of

  96. God, the truth of God, the glory of God, the power of God, the

  97. grace of God, and the goodness of God in the midst of something

  98. that is just hard to grasp. So if you haven't seen that

  99. testimony, look it up online. If you want our constant

  100. contact, sign up for it and you'll you'll get information on

  101. how we deal with these things. Turning Point.

  102. I didn't know a whole lot about it because I'm an old guy.

  103. I'm not like on college campuses interacting with thousands and

  104. thousands of young people, but that's what Charlie did.

  105. He had a vision when he was a young man, 16 years old, talking

  106. about what he wanted to do and how he wanted to be used by God

  107. to get this current generation on board with biblical Christian

  108. thinking and morality. And I don't have to tell you, if

  109. you read the news and you're familiar with Columbia and some

  110. of these other colleges that are refuting the truth of Jesus

  111. Christ and also the reason why the United States of America was

  112. founded, you'll understand why this man, his ministry was so

  113. dynamic. The impact of Turning Point 9000

  114. chapters on college campuses as we speak today. 1100 high school

  115. chartered groups. The last several days, 18,000

  116. people signed up on the website to get involved and starting

  117. chapters in their communities. Norman High School has a small

  118. one. It's fledgling.

  119. It needs help and it needs prayer.

  120. Greensburg Salem has nothing. Lake Trobe has nothing.

  121. Ligonier has a small group. Penn Trafford has a small group,

  122. but they're small at this point in time.

  123. But I believe, as Erica said, the enemy has no idea what he's

  124. unleashed and what's going to happen in the body of Christ as

  125. a result of this death. The Bible says a corner wheat

  126. has to fall underground and die, abide alone in order for it to

  127. come forth and bring forth fruit.

  128. And there's so much fruit already beginning to be brought

  129. up. It's interesting, as I did more

  130. investigation, that the affiliation with Charlie Kirk

  131. and Turning Point started at Calvary Chapel.

  132. Rob McCoy, who's a pastor emeritus, he just resigned this

  133. past year because he's been so busy as a vice chairman of

  134. Turning Point. And now with Charlie gone, he's

  135. got a lot of weight on his shoulders to be able with Erica

  136. and the rest of the group to continue this ministry on.

  137. But he discipled Charlie and encouraged him that Christian

  138. doctrine, the morals go hand in hand.

  139. They're not mutually exclusive. The Apostle Paul, who was

  140. eventually martyred, was not afraid to go out on the streets

  141. and share the clarity of the Gospel with people.

  142. Because of that, he was put in prison.

  143. He was beaten. The Roman Empire hated his guts

  144. and they wanted to silence him, but he wouldn't shut up.

  145. And eventually he used the law in order to help the authorities

  146. understand that they were breaking the law by beating him.

  147. And when they found out that he was a citizen, they backed off.

  148. You need to know your rights as citizens in the United States of

  149. America. Someone called me last night

  150. troubled over this whole incident and they're being

  151. refined right now in their life spiritually and they feel like

  152. Jesus has left them because of their sins and things they've

  153. committed. And recently this person has

  154. just come clean with God and said I'm done with my immoral

  155. ways and I'm going to just completely surrender my life to

  156. Christ. Please pray for me.

  157. He said that I would be able to do this without failing and

  158. falling back. And he said, pastor, can I ask

  159. you a question? And I said absolutely.

  160. He said, do you think that the church in America has been very

  161. weak in regard to their convictions biblically about

  162. where our culture is and our society morally?

  163. I said absolutely. I remember when COVID happened

  164. and this room is empty and we were speaking into the camera is

  165. very difficult. And Lewis had to remind me,

  166. pastor, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are here.

  167. He preached because of the Holy Trinity and honoring God,

  168. regardless of who's here, who listens whenever 911 happened.

  169. And it's ironic that this past week, week, remember 911 and a

  170. lot of you and the audience weren't even born at that time.

  171. You need to understand history because already people are

  172. putting things on the media saying it never happened.

  173. It's hard to believe, and that's what happens with godless

  174. ideologies. I was in Philly at past Pastor

  175. Mark Abrams and I got together in the morning of that day

  176. before things had happened, encourage each other and we were

  177. witnessing together to a young waitress who has all kind of

  178. problems and needs the Lord. So he made arrangements to

  179. provide Christmas gifts for her kids.

  180. God bless you at Christmas time. And she was just blown away.

  181. Why would anybody do that? And he wants her to come to the

  182. church. He invited her to come to the

  183. church. So I was buying the meal and I

  184. figured I'm going to blow this lady's mind.

  185. Not that I'm wealthy or anything, but I figured I'll set

  186. it up for Mark. And I whispered to him.

  187. I gave her $100 tip. I don't think she got any $100

  188. tips in a long time. But we need to show the love of

  189. Jesus wherever we go. However, we can do it one person

  190. at a time. I was in the elevator and I saw

  191. a young guy, probably in his late 20s.

  192. He just worked out. I said, did you hear the bad

  193. news today? He said what?

  194. I said Charlie Kirk was assassinated.

  195. He said what? I said, yeah.

  196. He said, you're kidding me. I said no.

  197. He says, I listen to that guy all the time, and many of you

  198. young people are really broken because he was your voice for

  199. reason. In the midst of schools that are

  200. denying the existence of God. I met a young lady yesterday,

  201. 7th grader, excuse me, Norman High School.

  202. Her mom told me that every day she would get home from school

  203. and turn the podcast on and listen to Charlie.

  204. And I asked this young girl, her name's Paige.

  205. I said, how did you find that? She says, I don't know.

  206. I was just Googling and I one day found it and all of a sudden

  207. I couldn't stop listening. And he, he changed the way I

  208. think I, I read my Bible now. I want to be a moral young

  209. woman. I want to be a virgin, complete

  210. opposite to what the society says.

  211. And I said what you what's your homeroom?

  212. I asked her a little bit about the the school and turns out my

  213. my grandson Gabriel is in her homeroom.

  214. And my daughter Melanie told me that Gabriel this last year

  215. decided he wanted to start reading the Bible on his own.

  216. So he's reading through the Old Testament and in his side of his

  217. helmet he has Bible verses. I mean, there's something

  218. happening in and outside the church.

  219. I said that a young man in the elevator.

  220. It's up to you and your generation to carry on the

  221. message of Charlie. I sent an e-mail to Rob to find

  222. out how we can be of some assistance in our place where we

  223. are. We have a radio station that's

  224. amazing that can reach people. We put an announcement on there

  225. when Charlie was murdered to ask the listeners to pray for him

  226. and for us so that we would be able to continue the dialogue.

  227. Not with hate, not with division, but with love and

  228. grace. Paige told me that she met a

  229. young girl at the junior high dance that thought the same way

  230. she did. And so these two 7th graders are

  231. trying to work together to get their school involved with

  232. Turning Point. Today, all of us here at Calvary

  233. Chapel, we have a young woman here who's helping us with

  234. social media along with Kevin and others, and we put out on

  235. Facebook Erica's message so that the community would hear it and

  236. get to see it and listen to it. It changed my life.

  237. I wept through it with Cindy as we watched it and it.

  238. This really impacted me deeply. We have the opportunity as

  239. Christians to speak up like we've never spoken before.

  240. Lewis and I have never compromised the gospel.

  241. We preach the whole gospel that abortion is sin, sexual

  242. immorality is sin. All the things that go along

  243. with sexual immorality that we've all been involved in in at

  244. one time or another. Maybe presently, I don't know

  245. where everybody's at right now, but we need to repent and turn

  246. from everything that is against the will of God and the holiness

  247. of God. No exceptions.

  248. We must turn to God, we must turn to Jesus, but we're going

  249. to be in hell for all eternity. Jesus said the road that leads

  250. the night, life is narrow and few there are find it.

  251. And being a Christian in these days is not an easy thing.

  252. But boy, it's sure a lot easier. And being a Christian in the

  253. Sudan where if they catch you reading your Bible, you will be

  254. killed in some of these countries that have no freedom

  255. of anything. And we have liberty in our

  256. country because of people who are out there fighting for our

  257. liberty. And we as churches have to

  258. proclaim that the freedom that we all desire comes in Jesus

  259. alone, where Jesus says you shall know the truth and the

  260. truth shall make you free. At the end of our prayer time

  261. today, I'm going to have an opportunity for us to come and

  262. pray up front. If you've never met Jesus, the

  263. days to come and meet him and start a new life and get on the

  264. path of liberty by confessing your sins to him, repenting and

  265. asking him to save you and he will for others who may be or

  266. 5050 right now in your faith with the Lord and your

  267. commitment today, commit to him to be 100 percent, 100% with

  268. Jesus. There'll be prayer people here

  269. to help you pray. Intercessors that spend their

  270. life at Calvary behind the scenes, praying for the Lord to

  271. work. They'll be up here to pray too.

  272. Pastor Lewis will be up front to help as well.

  273. And when you come and pray later, you can think about this

  274. as I have a brief message today. So we have time to pray to ask

  275. God for what he wants in your life right now.

  276. Don't worry about yesterday, what it should have could have

  277. that's done. Lord, from this day forward,

  278. what do you want in my life? Ask God for understanding.

  279. Ask Him for the grace to yield and surrender whatever you know

  280. you need to give to Jesus. Pray for Turning Point, Pray for

  281. the Kirk family. Pray for the body of Christ all

  282. over the country right now in the world.

  283. Pray for Bible churches everywhere.

  284. Pray for your families, your kids, and your grandkids to get

  285. on fire for Jesus. Use these connect cards to

  286. invite people to Calvary. I was in Philly working.

  287. They, they're not going to drive here.

  288. I know I go to Calvary Philly, but they can go on here and hit

  289. our QR code and watch our messages and hear what we

  290. believe and how we live our faith out together as a family.

  291. But it's fun now because I go through Starbucks and every time

  292. I go through Starbucks, guess what?

  293. They're getting one and I'm going to make sure I give them a

  294. tip though when I put that card in.

  295. You don't give these people things.

  296. If you don't tip them, they're going to throw it away.

  297. Went to the car wash and have a relationship with them for years

  298. and young lady worked so hard there.

  299. I gave her one. I said, hey, Chuck us out.

  300. It's very easy to do after church today and this week

  301. should you need to talk personally with pastor, get a

  302. hold of us and we're there for you to listen and to pray with

  303. you. So let's look at First

  304. Corinthians 12 for a few moments.

  305. This is on spiritual gifts and spiritual gifts are critical.

  306. We need them more than ever because if you use your gift,

  307. whatever that might be in this church and in your sphere of

  308. influence in your workplace, God will use you to impact people

  309. for Jesus. They're supernatural gifts that

  310. God gives to you. And we're to desire spiritual

  311. gifts and we encourage you to pursue and to find out what it

  312. is that your gift might be and to help you function in that

  313. gift, give you an opportunity to use that gift in the church.

  314. The human body is made-up of the head and everything else after

  315. that. And the head is the most

  316. important thing because without the head you can't live, you

  317. can't think, you can't breathe, you can't.

  318. And the reason why the head is designed to be so important is

  319. it reflects the head of the church, Jesus Christ, because we

  320. can't function or flow apart from his enablement as the head

  321. of the Church of all churches. Any place where people are

  322. getting together today in Jesus name and believe in the death,

  323. the resurrection, the crucifixion, the shed blood and

  324. the second coming of Jesus Christ.

  325. Our brothers and sisters doesn't matter what the name of the

  326. church is and that they're departing from sin.

  327. They're fleeing from sin. They're endeavoring to live a

  328. life that's pleasing to God, not living in secret sin or double

  329. lives coming clean with God. So there's unity in one body.

  330. I'm going to read the verses and then this make a general

  331. comment. Verse 12.

  332. For as the body is 1 and has many members, but all the

  333. members of that one body being many or one body, so also is

  334. Christ. For by 1 spirit are we all

  335. baptized into the body, whether Jews are Greek, whether slaves

  336. are free, and have all been made to drink into the one spirit.

  337. For in fact the body is not one member but many.

  338. The Holy Spirit comes into your life the second you believe on

  339. Jesus and get born again. You are placed supernaturally by

  340. the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ, which is made-up of

  341. Protestants, Orthodox, Catholic. Doesn't matter if they're born

  342. again, they're in the Church, one Church.

  343. One day Jesus, when he comes and establishes his Kingdom, he'll

  344. be the speaker. Won't you be glad there'll be no

  345. mistakes. Everything that will be said

  346. will build you up and never tear you down.

  347. One body. I'll never forget when I got

  348. saved, I, I didn't understand everything that happened in my

  349. bedroom at that time when I was 20 years old, but I knew someone

  350. was living in me that wasn't living there before.

  351. And that person was God, the Holy Spirit.

  352. He was telling me where to go, what not to do.

  353. And I, what do you mean I can't do that anymore?

  354. I, I couldn't understand right away and I still try to test it.

  355. Can I still do that? And there's no big deal.

  356. And then I, as I get older, I realized there's a big deal when

  357. you try to get in the way of the Holy Spirit, you quench him, you

  358. grieve him, your life becomes a disaster.

  359. But anyway, that is the baptism that you need to be a Christian

  360. where you get born again and immediately he puts you in his

  361. body as a believer, part of his church, and you have the Holy

  362. Spirit in you to live. There's a another baptism, the

  363. baptism of the believer after they get saved.

  364. Water baptism, Jesus said go into all the world, preach the

  365. gospel to every living creature, teaching them to observe all

  366. things whatsoever. I've commanded you baptizing

  367. them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  368. If you haven't been baptized yet or you got baptized, you had no

  369. idea why you got baptized. I got baptized as a baby.

  370. Initially I had no clue why. I was probably like, why is that

  371. weird guy putting that rose with that water in my head?

  372. You know, I couldn't talk, but I I'm sure I didn't like it,

  373. right? He's cold.

  374. My pool is 86°, so you're welcome.

  375. Saturday coming up, text me. Talk to me in a way out.

  376. I want to get baptized. That's your first step of

  377. obedience and following Jesus. Amen.

  378. Don't feel bad if you say I got saved, but I never got baptized.

  379. No problem. Get baptized this Sunday.

  380. It's the last Sunday. We'll have that.

  381. The pool's going to be open to do this. 10:00 One woman is

  382. going to get baptized. Lydia, Where is Lydia?

  383. Is she here today? Lydia Eichelberger's not here

  384. today. She says, God, my whole family

  385. wants to come and says there's not a lot of parking.

  386. I said don't worry, we'll figure it out.

  387. We'll put the cars up and down the street.

  388. I used to work as a party parking lot attendant, so I know

  389. how to direct cars. If the foot should say because

  390. I'm not a hand, I'm not at the body, it is therefore not of the

  391. body, question mark. And if the ear should say

  392. because I'm not an eye, I'm not of the body, is it therefore not

  393. of the body? If the whole body were an eye,

  394. where would I be? Where would the hearing be?

  395. If the whole we're hearing, where would be the smelling?

  396. Aren't you glad you can smell and taste?

  397. I can't imagine eating food if you couldn't taste it or smell

  398. it. That's the best part.

  399. Smelling is really important. But now God has set the members,

  400. each one of them, in the body just as He's pleased.

  401. And if they were all one member, where would the body be?

  402. So we're all different, right? But not more important or less

  403. important than one another. But now, indeed, there are many

  404. members, yet one body. And the eye cannot say to the

  405. hand, I have no need of you, nor again the head to the feet, I

  406. have no need of you. No, much rather, those members

  407. of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary, and those

  408. members of the body which we think are less honorable.

  409. On these we bestow greater honor, and on our unpresentable

  410. parts have greater modesty, but our presentable parts have no

  411. need. But God composed the body,

  412. having given greater honor to the part which lacks it.

  413. That's how the Lord is. If you feel insignificant from

  414. God's vantage point, you're never insignificant.

  415. You're just as important and critical as you think.

  416. The person that's up front talking or whoever's doing the

  417. missions or Charlie or anybody else, No one is like, there's no

  418. like hierarchy in the body of Christ.

  419. We're all one together in Jesus. And your spiritual gifts feed me

  420. and I trust mine feeds you and bless you.

  421. But God composed the body having giving greater honor to that

  422. part which lacks it, that there should be no schism or division

  423. in the body, but the members should have the same care for

  424. one another. And we're going to be going into

  425. first Corinthians 13 next week, love chapter.

  426. Don't miss it, watch it and embrace it because you don't

  427. have a right not to forgive anybody.

  428. You definitely don't have a right to not love anybody or

  429. love everybody. And we got to love each other as

  430. a body of Christ deeply because that's what causes people to

  431. know we belong to him. Hey, I know they're a Christian.

  432. How can you tell? Because they love each other.

  433. Jesus said. That's what the people say.

  434. And if we got to go out in the streets and deal with

  435. transgenderism and all these weird ideologies and all this

  436. stuff that makes your head go sideways, you can't reject

  437. people. You can't ignore them.

  438. You need to love them. And if you can't love them, you

  439. can say, Lord, work on my heart and don't let me open my mouth

  440. until there's love coming out because given the gospel without

  441. love is not going to work. Lord, help us to love each other

  442. in this church. Help us to not get hung up on

  443. small stuff, don't let us get offended and get mad and stupid

  444. stuff and we all of a sudden don't want to go to church

  445. anymore because someone did something we didn't like.

  446. I mean, if, if Jesus like had that kind of mindset the first

  447. day he was on the earth and his ministry's like Godfather, I'm

  448. coming home. These people are waste.

  449. They're never listening. I'm not I don't want to be

  450. around them. But he didn't.

  451. He hung out with all of us and still does, no matter what or

  452. stupid stuff. Now you are all the body of

  453. Christ and members individually and God has appointed these in

  454. the church. First apostles, second prophets,

  455. third teachers After that miracles and gifts of healing

  456. helps administration's variety in tongues.

  457. Are all apostles? No Are all prophets?

  458. No Are all teachers? No Are all workers of miracles?

  459. No. Do all have gifts of healing?

  460. No. Do all speak with tongues?

  461. No. Do all interpret?

  462. No, but earnestly, these are the best gifts and I will show you a

  463. more excellent way. Amen.

  464. So we're going to watch a short video, turn out the lights.

  465. Soon as the lights come back on, start coming forward and Pastor

  466. Lewis will come up with some of the deacons and anybody that is

  467. an intercessor, prayer warrior, whatever, come forward.

  468. And we're just going to spend 10 minutes or so in the presence of

  469. the Lord. Gina and the team will lead us

  470. in worship. OK.

  471. And and then we'll we'll see what the Lord does in our

  472. hearts. You need a miracle today.

  473. Well, God's here and he, he wants to do some miracles in all

  474. of our lives. There's nothing he can't do.

  475. There's nothing he isn't willing to do.

  476. If you're being called into ministry, don't say, well, maybe

  477. like I did, like, well, Lord, you called me when I was 20.

  478. I didn't get involved until I was 44.

  479. I fought it. I didn't want to do it, but

  480. that's me. If you're 202530351015 and you

  481. feel God's calling you to serve him as a pastor, as a

  482. missionary, as a pastor's wife, as someone in a worship team,

  483. sound team, whatever things we got going on here, get involved.

  484. Don't waste time, right? Charlie, I'm sure is glad he got

  485. into it and he went into the presence of 31 hearing well

  486. done, good and faithful servant, right?

  487. Enter into the joy of the Lord. Time's short.

  488. We got to get active, we got to get busy.

  489. We got to be ready. This is a Church of grace, not

  490. guilt, not judgement, but the work of the Holy Spirit in each

  491. of your lives. And I'm so thankful, as is

  492. Pastor Lewis. Come on up here, pastor, to be

  493. able to do ministry with you guys.

  494. We don't do it to you. We do it with you.

  495. And I'm going to ask pastor to close us in the Lord's Supper.

  496. And and then it's such a blessing having him with me and

  497. hit me with him. We're Lewis and Clark and I, and

  498. I bet you ought to Google how many churches have a white and

  499. an African American pastor working together.

  500. I don't think there's any. So, you know, we need to get

  501. this out on Facebook too, right? Brenda?

  502. Let everybody know that that we want people of color in this

  503. place, all color, Indian, black, white, green, yellow, whatever

  504. they are. That's our prayer for the power

  505. of the Holy Spirit to bring revival to the city.

  506. So Pastor God take over. And we look so much alike.

  507. People confuse us. I pray that God honors

  508. everything that He heard today. I pray that your hearts have

  509. been softened today by the things that you've heard and the

  510. things that you've seen. We had the presence of God here

  511. today, and it's amazing. Growing up, I thought the

  512. presence of God was the emotion. I thought the presence of God

  513. was the noise and the hoopla and the noise.

  514. But the presence of God is the rendering of the hearts, isn't

  515. it? When He gets into your heart and

  516. He begins to reveal things to you, when He gets into your

  517. heart and He begins to show you the things that actually brings

  518. you to tears, it's a blessing to be in the presence of the Lord

  519. and to know it. And He said very clearly, it's

  520. by love, one for another. When I watched each other

  521. praying for one another, not for yourselves, but for one another,

  522. that's love. You set your own agenda aside

  523. for a minute to be able to pray for someone else's concerns,

  524. that's love. That's the power and the

  525. presence of God. And we thank God to be able to

  526. experience that this morning. The awesome Savior that we have

  527. who actually came to sacrifice himself in the hands of mere men

  528. that He himself created. The minds that He created, the

  529. wheels that He created. Men who would look at him and

  530. spit on him and say all manner of things about him that were

  531. evil, yet He came to die for them.

  532. The example that He has left for us to love beyond circumstance,

  533. not in circumstance beyond it, is the example that He leaves

  534. for us. It's not easy, but it is of God.

  535. I can dislike what you say, and it could hurt me to my heart,

  536. but if I make a decision to love you above and beyond that, I

  537. will choose to love you the way He chose to love us in spite of

  538. us, not because of us, in spite of us.

  539. So He brings this example to earth, and he walks out the

  540. gospel, he walks out the commandments of God in leather

  541. and shoe leather. He demonstrates the

  542. righteousness of God in the presence of mere men.

  543. And in doing so, He brought it, brought anger in the hearts of

  544. those who hated Him and who hated righteousness.

  545. So don't think that we are not going to be hated.

  546. He told us we're going to be hated, but they hated Him first.

  547. But we thank Him for the example.

  548. We thank Him for the sacrifice. He didn't have to do it, but He

  549. did it. That he would be the just and

  550. the justifier of all those who put their faith in Jesus.

  551. And that's the gospel, because we're sinners and none of us

  552. deserve eternal life. We are sinners and none of us

  553. deserve his grace. And we couldn't keep the law

  554. that He gave for us, But because he loved us, He sent his Son

  555. Jesus Christ to die on that cross for us who took on our

  556. sins. He gave us.

  557. He gave us his righteousness, and he took our sins.

  558. That's the great exchange. And because of that, we are here

  559. today with the hope of eternal life in Jesus Christ.

  560. And so that's what we remember today as we take the table.

  561. So it was in the night in which Jesus was betrayed that he took

  562. the bread. And after he gave thanks, he

  563. broke it. And he said, take and eat.

  564. This is my body which was broken for you for the sins that you've

  565. committed. It was broken because I am the

  566. propitiation for your sins. It was broken for you.

  567. Eat this in remembrance of me. In the same manner He also took

  568. the cup, and after supper he looked at his disciples, his

  569. apostles, and he said, This cup is the new covenant in my blood.

  570. Every covenant is cut with blood, and this is the blood

  571. that I shed for this covenant. Drink this and as often as you

  572. drink it, drinking in remembrance of me.

  573. For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, we

  574. remember the Lord's death until he come.

  575. Amen. The Lord bless you.
