Isaiah 6:1-8 - Turning Point

What a legacy, huh? Living for something that's

bigger than ourselves and understanding what a turning

point is. A definition of a turning point

in life is a significant event, decision, or experience that

causes a major shift in a person's life trajectory,

perspective, or direction. It's a moment after which things

are never quite the same, fundamentally altering the

future path. It involves A profound change in

a person's circumstances, such as career, relationships,

beliefs, or health. Once a turning point occurs,

there's usually no going back to the way things were before.

It often leads to a new path, a new set of priorities, and a new

understanding of oneself in the world.

While others might observe a change, the true impact is

deeply personal and felt by the individual.

Turning points, even those stemming from difficult

situations like a crisis or a loss, often serve as catalysts

for personal growth, resilience, or self discovery.

I'm sure this event has impacted your lives.

I know it's impacted mine. It's 74 years old.

Most guys my age are thinking about retiring and shutting up

pastors. We did our thing and we just

fade into the sunset. But I feel as I do along with

the rest of the leadership, this is a pivotal time for our church

as well as our community, our county, our state, our country

in the world. And so our Savior Jesus Christ

in Matthew chapter 5 began a turning point when the greatest

sermon that was ever preached in the world, the Beatitudes.

So I'm going to read these verses and as I read them, think

about them in your own heart. What do they mean to you?

What does it cause you to think about?

How might you be in the process of change, wanting to live these

powerful truths out instead of reading them and just thinking

about them? How can I be more like what

Jesus is wanting us to be? Let's pray.

Father God, we thank you this morning for your Holy Spirit

who's with us, speaking to us, Lord, in the building online, on

YouTube, Facebook, whatever other media that you allow us to

use to get the word out. We ask you today, God, for your

favor and your grace to speak to each of us as individuals and as

a church, what it is you want us to do moving forward in the days

ahead. That we would get the gospel out

of the building and into the streets, into the marketplace,

into the political arena, Lord, into the neighborhood and the

communities we live in, into our workplaces.

And that Lord, we would be salt and light as you tell us in the

section of Scriptures. Lord, bless your people today.

Encourage them. Encourage husbands and wives to

have conversations with their children that they would have a

biblical worldview that as they go into the public school that

they would have the ability to have a turning point choice not

to go this with the culture, but to go with your teachings.

Lord, from your word. Change our lives, Lord, change

our hearts, change our minds to make us like you.

Jesus, we know that your will and we thank you in advance for

what it is you're doing and will continually do in the days

ahead. And we pray these things in

Jesus name, Amen. And seeing the multitudes, he

went up into a mountain, and when he was set, his disciples

came unto him, and he opened his mouth and taught them, saying,

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of

heaven. Blessed are they that mourn, for

they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they

shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger

and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the

children of God. Blessed are they which are

persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the Kingdom

of heaven. Blessed are you when men shall

revive you and persecute you, and shall say all men are of

evil against you falsely for my sake rejoice and be exceedingly

glad, for great is your reward in heaven for so persecuted they

the prophets which were before you.

You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt have lost its

savour, wherewith shall it be salted.

It is therefore good for nothing but to be cast out, and to be

trodden under foot of men. You are the light of the world.

A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid, neither do men

Light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a Candlestick,

and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good

works and glorify your Father, which is in heaven.

Amen. That's what we're called to do.

It's Jesus and His gospel, the Good News and the focus today

and every day that we gather at Calvary Chapel.

Our worship gathering His, His Word and how His Word can change

our lives. Many of our lives have been

changed and are being changed because of the simple teaching

of the Bible through the men and women in this church that

faithfully teach the Bible weekly to the people that they

love and care about. Salt and light.

I have been convicted since this event happened that how much

salt is coming out of my life and how much light is being

manifest from my life and the questions I asked myself and I

asked you today. Are we salt and light outside

this particular building in this ministry, in this church?

Do we look for opportunities in our conversations with people to

be salt and light? Or are we intimidated and

fearful or feel unable to express our convictions?

That's one of the big challenges I think we have as Christians.

If you turn to Isaiah 6, if you have a Bible, turn there.

If you don't, that's OK. Isaiah had a turning point and a

vision. In this chapter.

Isaiah is believed that he was somewhere between the ages of 18

and 21. It's interesting how God chooses

to work with young people. Young people impact old people

and old people are to impact young people.

It works both ways. But Isaiah, he had this vision.

The king had died. He was a good king.

He stood for moral convictions and right type of leadership and

government and his reign as one of the good kings in Israel at

the time. And he died and it says in the

first verse of chapter 6, in the year the king Uzziah died, I saw

the Lord sitting upon a throne high and lifted up and his train

filled the temple. The anytime you have a personal

encounter with Jesus, you and him one-on-one could be praying,

it could be in a church environment, it could be

anywhere where God, this begins to move in your life in a way

that you've never experienced him before.

When that happens, it's intimidating because we always

usually look at ourselves among ourselves and say why I'm just

as good as this person or I'm not as bad as that person.

So I'm cool, everything's good with me and God, right until you

have this kind of encounter. And you'll see now as we begin

to get into this, what happened to Isaiah is he had this

experience, tremendous vision, seeing heaven as it was in the

next dimension. Above it stood the seraphims.

Each had six wings. With two he covered his face,

with two he covered his feet. And with two he did fly.

Boy, what a wild vision, huh? Can you imagine seeing something

like that? And one cried unto another and

said, holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts.

The whole earth is full of his glory.

That's what's going on in heaven right now.

This worship and this tremendous chorus of angels always singing

before the throne of the Most High God.

Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of host.

And the post of the door moved at the voice of him that cried,

and the house was filled with smoke.

There was this atmosphere of God's glory that was so

overwhelming for Isaiah that he didn't know how to respond other

than what he said in verse 5. He said then said, I woe is me,

for I am undone because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell

in the midst of a people of unclean lips.

For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.

When you are before this great throne of God as an individual

human being, you begin to see yourself as you really are.

You think you're clean and righteous and you got it all

together. And all of a sudden you realize,

man, I am messed up. And God's grace and His mercy is

so kind and so patient and so good.

And he, he allows us to see ourselves as we are, not to

depress us or destroy us, but to help us to see that there's so

much he wants to do in our lives to make us more like Jesus.

And that's a one-on-one thing. Whenever you begin to see

yourself this way, you want God to cleanse you, you want to

repent, you want to make amends, you want to be reconciled to God

at times and to others and family and people.

You may be offended in your life, whatever all of a sudden

like your life is before you. And you say, I wish I wouldn't

have done that. I wish I wouldn't have said

that. I wish I wouldn't have acted

that way. I wish I wish I would have been

more open to what God wanted for me instead of being too busy for

what it was that God was telling me He created me for.

We all are the same. And I encourage you to ask God

to give you an encounter with Him if you haven't had one like

that yet. Because first of all, when you

do, it'll cause you to believe that you need a Savior, you're a

Sinner, and you need someone to help you out of the problem that

you're in because of what your sin has done to you and to

others. God Forgives sin.

He cleanses us as we come and ask Him for forgiveness.

And if you're a believer and you've gotten cold maybe or

lukewarm. And that happens to all of us,

including pastors. You can just say, Lord, this is

a fresh start. This is a new turning point.

I see things from a different vantage point now.

And because of that, what I'm living for and how I'm living is

going to be changed dramatically.

You're going to begin to be the priority of my life and not

everything else that I allow to become the priority of my life.

And God is so good. He's so patient, so merciful.

So he has this experience. Then God in his mercy in verse

6, then flew one of the seraphim's under me, having a

live coal in his hand, which he had taken off from the tongs of

the altar. He laid it on my mouth and said,

lo, this has touched your lips and your iniquity is taken away

and your sin is purged. So I don't know about you, but

like I am so at times like why am I?

Why am I up here today like, Lord, why are you allowing me to

do what it is you are allowing me to do, to talk to these

wonderful people that you've created, that you love so much,

knowing what I am and where I've come from?

But the good news is, is that God isn't looking for perfect

people. Charlie Kirk wasn't perfect for

sure. We know our president isn't

perfect. I know I'm not perfect.

But God uses imperfect people to perfect his will and his

Kingdom. And So what happened was he's

purified, he's refined, he's cleansed.

So he's at one point like, man, I can't do anything, certainly

can't be used by you God, because I'm such a a

knucklehead. And then all the sudden he has

this revival in his heart. He knows he's OK with God now

and he hears this voice of the Lord saying, whom shall I send

and who will go for us? Question mark for all of us

today. And we had this last week a

little bit we talked about it. Here am I Lord send me.

And he said, go and tell this people here and indeed, but they

probably won't understand much and see indeed, but they won't

perceive. So that's a challenge we have as

believers. We are in a culture war.

We're in a environment where most people have a worldview

that's anti God against God, Pagan, ungodly.

And they really don't have a lot of patience for us, nor do they

like us. We have to understand that

that's a reality. So how do we go into the world

to preach the gospel with grace and with love and care about

people that really don't like us and don't have the time of day

for us? Now, if we're going out there

thinking we're better than everyone else, and that's the

wrong, don't even start right. But if you go out and you

realize like these people were like you at one time, they can't

see, they don't understand, they're lost.

They need to hear the good news in order to believe the good

news. And who's going to tell them the

good news? So as you think about this, in

lieu of what Isaiah said, here am I, send me.

Maybe today you're going to say, Lord, here am I send me.

First of all, how do you share your faith in love, not

judgement, planting seeds and giving people things to

consider. Charlie was a master at having

conversations with people and dialogue to get him to think a

little bit differently. And because of that work of the

Holy Spirit through that man's life many times liberal college

students, high school students, people like us that maybe saw

the podcast that didn't know the Lord maybe at one time all the

sudden said I never thought about life that way.

That makes sense and send our views begin to change and then

eventually our hearts become open to hearing the gospel.

And so our job is to help hurting people and invite them

to a a relationship with Jesus Christ, invite them to church

and they might say no, but don't ever give up asking people to

come and hear the gospel and hear the word of God.

Encourage these high school club America leaders, which we'll

have one speaking here in a few moments.

Morgan from Latrobe High School, she's out there with a table

with a lot of cool buttons and pens where you can get involved

and find out more about what she's doing by the power of God

on the high school campus. Along with students at Norwin,

Penn Trafford, Hempfield, Ligonier, Greensburg, Salem,

many, many high schools and more and more are signing up to have

Club America's in. It's amazing what God's doing

through these young people. We want to meet and pray and

encourage Morgan today. She's here as well as others to

use the resources that we provide through Calvary Chapel

and Grace FM 91.7 that we can interview them, that we can have

them tell their story and invite their constituents and people

that go to school with them to get involved in their wonderful

camps and groups and things that they do in their high school

campuses. We need to vote.

As Kerry said, we need to know the platform of the candidates

and we have the voter registration guides so you can

vote biblical platforms that are for the truths of the Word of

God in regard to pro-life and other issues that are very, very

important to the Lord and to what the Word of God teaches us.

We need to know who's running and why we're going to vote.

I don't have to tell you who to vote for and you don't have to

tell me who to vote for. You should know who you should

vote for based upon knowing what their platform is and what they

believe and what their convictions are.

I was told at the meeting that I spoke at over at the Hempfield

Park by some of the leaders of Turning Point, the 30% of

Christians didn't vote in the last election and 20% of gun

owners didn't vote. That's shocking, isn't it?

Can you imagine if you get those folks voting for moral causes

and values that the Lord has given us through His word, how

different our society could be and would be?

Maybe you need to run for office.

Maybe you need to be active in your local school boards.

Maybe you need to show up at the meetings and pray and encourage

those who are there that are on the same page as the Lords word

of Word of God and then pray individually as a community and

nationally. Fred Warnbrock's going to help

do some training in regard to our meeting and I'll talk about

that. Our first turning point meeting

to to study our Constitution and understand our rights as

citizens and how we can be salt and light.

How we can get into conversations with people and

engage them to think about their need of a Savior.

We will have prayer guides on platforms of Pennsylvania and we

will have prayer guides for every other state in America.

So you will know what other states are dealing with in

regard to liberal ideologies that are circumventing the truth

of the Word of God and know how to pray for these other States

and leaders. As family and parents, it's

important to teach your children the truths of the Word of God

and to help them maneuver a culture that is going to try to

teach them and train them to rebel against the Word of God

and learn to be humble, turning from what you know needs to

change in your own life. There's things since all this

has happened that the Lord has tapped me in the shoulder, say,

Clark, this area needs to go in your life.

This needs to be thought about differently.

These judgments need to be put down.

These love and these opportunities to be a better

husband, a better father, a better grandfather, a better

son-in-law, a better brother-in-law, all these better

son, all these different hats I wear, a better employee for the

companies that I work for, a better pastor.

To you guys, these are things that the Lord is causing me to

wrestle after. So the benefits of being

involved as a collaborative partner with Turning Point Faith

is churches like ours. Many Calvary chapels are already

involved, many more signing up as we speak.

I have communication with Jack Hibbs at Chino Hills to get some

direction and help as we maneuver this a little

differently than we have in the past.

We want to teach one another how to stand for biblical truth, how

to combat cultural compromises, and pray for a God centered

revival on our nation. There'll be citizenship classes,

national faith tours, faith leadership summits, and a lot of

other things that we can be involved in to live out the

Great Commission. The Lord wants us to go into all

the world and preach the gospel to every living creature.

One of the problems of where we are in our country as a culture

that has unfortunately been not as focused upon in in many of

our lives as Christians. And now's the time to be

involved. Not tomorrow, next week, next

month, maybe next year, but today is the day to be involved.

The harvest is plenty old, plentiful, Jesus says, but the

laborers are few. Lewis has been so eloquently

teaching us the importance of being doers of the word and not

hearers only in the book of James.

You ever notice like how you can say Amen and listen to sermons

and and then go out the door and nothing changes next week that

happens. We're human, right?

But like the Lord, show us how to apply these things in real

life circumstances and situations.

All of us. And that's what our training

will be involved in. We need to understand that

there's a lot of people that don't know Jesus.

We need to understand that the LBGTQ agenda is very well

organized and very focused on accomplishing their agenda.

We need to know how to counter that in love in a biblical way.

There's people that are homeless that need help, there's sex

trafficking happening in our country and our own communities.

There's people that are worshipping Satan, and there's

people that think the church now is irrelevant and so they don't

attend anymore. And that's one of the worst

things that can be happening right now.

We want to be a church that is relevant so when people come not

only they hear truth but they learn how to apply the truth and

live it out in everyday life. We need to do this to protect

our children and our grandchildren.

As I said, we need to know how to to vote biblically.

So who can be involved in this? Anybody that is attending here

or listening online or curious or interested, you can get

involved in this small group. One part of our ministry, we

have many ministries at Calvary Chapel.

We're praying that somehow we'll be able to connect with the

prisoners at the West Morning County Prison.

All the listeners on Grace FM, this goes out live right now on

the air as we're preaching the word.

And so when are we going to get together?

The first meeting will be Tuesday, November 4th at 7:00 in

the social hall, fellowship hall, and we'll probably be

doing that once a month, the first Tuesday of the month if

everybody agrees on that being a good time to get together.

Some people say, well, what am I signing up for?

What do I have to do? All you have to do is follow

Jesus. That's all you got to do.

And so there's not more work or you know where you expect you to

do this or do that. Just live out your life and be

salt and light. That's all you got to do, right?

And share ideas and share ways that we can be more effective in

our community. Get engaged.

What's exciting about this is, is that last week 22 people

signed up to get involved in this as a as a, as a group.

And the four specific people that I already see as dynamic

leaders that'll help us understand how to do this in the

culture. Kerry's been involved in the

political arena for a long time. She's very passionate.

She kept trying to drag me into this stuff the last five years.

And I said, well, I'm busy. I can't, you know, we can't go

at all. Kind of flimsy excuses.

But she loved me anyway and prayed and didn't leave the

church state here. And, and, and she, I know she's

want to jump in out of her skin now.

She never dreamed this would be happening.

Amy Kirkland, you know, I can see passion in her life.

All the people that signed up, Fred, he's a retired Lieutenant

Colonel from the Air Force. This guy's no joke, and we're

fortunate to have him here. He's also an intercessor with

Calvary here on Thursday nights. But also him and Mary Ellen are

intercessors for everything that's happening all across the

country in the world. So he'll be able to give us

information and how to pray so we know what to pray for.

So the next steps are, as you think about this today, pray

about your possible desire to be involved somehow.

You can ask us questions, whatever.

There's sign up sheets in the lobbies you leave down by the

offering and same thing in the back.

And Fred will be at one door, I'll be at the other along with

some of the other leaders and pastors.

Pray for a boldness that will not be intimidated, that we'll

be able to to share the good news with people without

compromise. That's really, really important

be praying about how you can mobilize others and other

churches in in the community that need to be involved in this

for such a time as this. The the beautiful thing about

the work of the Holy Spirit is that none of us are beyond God

using right? All of us are able to be used.

I guess the challenge for all of us, though, is that are we

afraid? Are we concerned about people

not liking us? Are we afraid of persecution or

or whatever? Erica said something about

Charlie, which impressed me, something I got to pray and work

on. I like people to like me.

I like you guys to be happy. Is everybody happy here?

Well, probably maybe 80% are happy at 20%.

What's that guy talking about up there?

But I can't worry about like what you think of me or, you

know, this prayer, You pray for me.

I'm not here for a popularity contest.

I'm here to be faithful to God, right?

So Erica said Charlie had a lot of good friends and when he

began to get engaged in the culture wars and speak out

against it, he he lost a lot of friends.

But she said it never bothered him.

He just kept doing what he knew God told him to do.

Now there's there's contrary or conflict comments about Charlie

and some of the ways he communicated.

At times it offended some people.

Some people thought he was a racist.

Well, he wasn't a racist, but maybe the way he answered a

question once in a while, maybe it sounded like he was, but he

wasn't. He had African Americans in his

team. And Vodi Bakkam, one of the

great preachers of the word of God, good reform guy, died

recently. He is in the training on how to

deal with this issue of racism and white and black and all this

baloney stuff that's separating and dividing people because of

woke culture right. So that that was not true or

thinking women were subservient to men.

There's no way all the women that are involved in turning

point Morgan here today, Erica running the organization and I

would listen to her last couple lectures at the at the Missouri

University of Missouri. She spoke and Vance spoke.

He tried to answer questions like CC did a good job and she

shared the reason why we're doing what we're doing.

Our answer isn't in Washington and it isn't in politics.

Very clearly stated. It's in the Lord.

We need the Word of God. We need the Lord as front and

Center for everything we do. Keep that in mind.

Keep that as your focus and and the noise.

Don't listen to the noise. I mean, some of these scandalous

things that are being said to to try to destroy turning point is

is ridiculous. You know, on YouTube Annette,

just turn off the noise. Keep your eyes on Jesus and do

what you know he tells you to do from his word.

How she got involved, why she got involved.

Tell us what the push backs are, all that stuff you know.

Hi everyone, happy Sunday. I'm Morgan Glessner and I'm 16

years old. I'm vice president of Turning

Point Westmoreland. My jersey to my journey to Jesus

started from a very young age. I have everyone in my family to

thank for that. Every Sunday I would go to

church not far from here and as a young girl I sometimes didn't

understand at all. As I got younger through COVID,

honestly my faith kind of fell off.

I started my own faith journey to better my relationship with

God by reading my Bible, watching online church, and

praying. I would like to call my

relationship to God my coming back and my coming back my

turning point. Turning Point has very true that

he brought me across the closer to God.

I started with Turning Point USA because I enjoy discussing with

people about what is happening in our country and I strongly

encourage anyone who is in high school or college to take a

current issues class. That's where I started.

The best way I like to describe Turning Point is people with

conservative religious values. I do not agree with people

hating someone on the other side.

I encourage the opposition because I enjoy others opinions

as long as we are with God. In my chapter at Latrobe, I

helped run the chapter with my best friend Mateo.

We first thought about creating a chapter towards the end of

last school year. We got approved in July this

summer. We currently only have 25

students even though we just started, which is fantastic.

I have friends who have opposite opinions and they don't agree

with it, but I continue with how I am and many of the people in

the club have very full schedules.

I do my best to go to as many events as I can.

People my age will be the newest ones to vote in this next

election. Please everyone vote on Tuesday.

As Pastor Clark and Kerry said already, I encourage that anyone

my age educate yourself on how the world works and enjoy

enjoying Turning Point. We are not one for just

political for just one political party.

Even if you were just wanting to know what we're about going to

the Turning Point website and have amazing resources about

anything government. I can also talk to anyone if you

need help. If you're willing to learn about

what's happening in the world, this is for you because we're

not just for one. I know I dragged on, but I'm

extremely excited for Calvary to join the Turning Point faith

community. This, this organization does

amazing things and it has done many things for me, brought me

amazing opportunities and opinions and people for me to

talk to and things for me to talk talk to people about other

opinions. If anyone has any questions I'll

be out in the lobby with collectibles from Turning Point

and I have a bunch of pamphlets and I want to thank everyone for

letting me talk and talk about what I'm interested in.

Thank you for your boldness and what you're doing for Jesus.

Your labor is not in vain in the Lord Father God, we're inspired

by this young woman's life, her wisdom at a young age, her

insights, and what she understands to be true because

of you, Jesus living in her heart.

I pray you would bless her and use her mightily.

In Latrobe High School. We have grandkids that go there.

I pray, Lord, that I know they've already checked the

meeting out. I pray they would get involved.

Lord, God, this this do a revival in Latrobe and all these

other high schools. Lord, we're looking forward to

meeting some of the other leaders from some of the other

schools and colleges as well to form a partnership and a unity

together for the same purpose of being salt and light.

And so Lord use her and thank thank you for bringing her

today. Bless her and her family, her

father, her mother, everybody, her grandparents that belong to

Calvary. Lord, just thank you for what

you're doing. And we're just excited to be a

part of what she's doing. And we pray all these things in

Jesus name and all God's people said Amen.

God bless you, honey. So in, in conclusion, Tuesday

night 7:00 fellowship, Paul will have the, the beginning of the

training and teaching of, of how to be more active in the, in the

culture with the gospel. We also want to make everyone

aware that this is not something we expect you to do.

You have to be led by the Holy Spirit and desire to do this and

God calling you to it, right? There's all kind of ministries

you can be involved here at, at Calvary.

I I'm, I'm on board because this is like making me come alive

again in my faith in Jesus. I'm thinking too about the, you

know, the opportunity that this church has because of Grace FM.

So what I would ask you to do, and many of you have come

because of other people inviting you today.

Tell people to go to the Calvary Chapel Westmoreland County

YouTube station and watch the service today.

OK, it's it's going to be archives, it'll be there.

Social media, you can get it out there through using Twitter and

Instagram and Facebook and all these other things.

We have several people here today that are specialists to

help us get it out. Do some reels so that they can

see a short overview of what we had captured today, what was

important in the service. So let it go viral.

Seriously, what you can do, your first step involved, even if

you're not going to be at the meeting, there's a Christian.

Let people hear about what we said today.

Let him see the video. Let him hear Morgan's testimony.

You have grandkids and kids in high school and junior high,

Tell them to watch the service completely OK and ask him for

feedback. So that's my story, and I'm

sticking to it. And I wanted to thank the Echo

Burgers for bringing my dear mother here.

You're 100, 92 now, right? We're praying you make it to

Got too many things going on in my head.

OK, this is really important our communion because this is where

we become one every week in body, soul, mind and spirit as

we remember Christ's sacrifice for us, his shed blood that

forgave us of our sins and his body was given for us on the

tree. So let's let's do this together.

It's interesting, I think about that night he he did do this

supper and he knew he was going to die for what he believed and

what he was teaching. And he also knew that his

closest followers that were with him were mostly going to end

their lives the same way. I'm so thankful that I'm not in

Nigeria where they're martyring Christians and killing people of

any kind of religious faith. And President Trump is getting

the Pentagon to get involved and get involved in that country

because this shouldn't be happening anywhere in the world,

that people can't have freedom of religion, right?

And so we pray for these dear sisters and brothers in Nigeria

this morning, as well as ourselves.

And thank God that we are in a country that we still have the

freedom to do what we're doing today.

That's not normal in most places in the world, right?

Father, we are thankful today and for all that you're teaching

us what you're doing in US, and we are so grateful that we can

be representing you on this planet for such a time as this.

We ask for God that you would be glorified in everything that

we're endeavoring to do for you and your Kingdom for sake of one

another and our country. We pray, Lord, as we take the

supper today, that maybe there's a little deeper meaning because

we see things maybe a little bit clearer as to what is being

required of us as your people, that we would sacrifice

ourselves and meaning that we would surrender our will to your

will so that your will would be done in our lives instead of our

own. And we praise you and we thank

you for what you've done for us, Lord.

And the night that Jesus was betrayed, he took the bread in

his hands. He broke it.

He gave thanks. He said, take, eat, this is My

body which is given for you. Eat this in remembrance of me.

In the same manner, in that evening he took the cup and he

said this cup is a new covenant in My blood which was shed for

the forgiveness of sins of many. Drink this in remembrance of me.

As often as we eat this spread together and we drink this cup,

we show forth the Lord's death till he comes again.
