Living Waters of Grace April 16th, 2026

This is Living Waters of Grace, the teaching ministry of Clark

Waffer, senior pastor of Calvary Chapel of Westmoreland, County

continues teaching through God's Word.

I submit, I respond. And it's an awesome.

Thing when the root. Is pulled out because then I can

truly look in the mirror one day and say, you know.

I don't have that problem anymore with that particular sin

because God pulled the root out. But if I look in the mirror and

I know down deep inside that I still have a problem with the

particular sin in my life, it's because I haven't let the Lord

pull the root. And it's because I still don't

want to repent of it. Because I still take a degree

of. Pleasure and whatever.

And we're all in. Process regarding that.

Have you ever tried to pull a weed out of the ground and saw

it sprout up the next week? It's crazy because when you pull

it out you think oh I got it good, but then a little leaf

starts to sprout again. This happens because what you

pulled out wasn't the root of the plant, it was just the top

part. If you don't go all the way down

to the roots, the weed will always return.

Today, Pastor Clark says to run from sin, you must hit it at the

root. You don't want to give the enemy

a chance to attack anything that's lingering now.

He has spoken in order to turn you away from the Lord your God,

who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from

the House of bondage, to entice you from the way in which the

Lord your God commanded you to walk.

So you shall put away the evil from your midst.

Isn't that amazing? So clear?

And why are there so many Christians today that are

sitting in churches listening to lies and being deceived by false

prophets? Their move and their goal is to

bring deception and to move. You away from the truth of who

God is. What's the message of today's

modern prophets on TV? Give me your money.

Because I want a jet, I want a mansion, I want fame and I want

worship. Benny Hinn is in big trouble,

guys. The way he lives on the.

Back of the hard. Working dollars of the people.

Of this. World scamming them, hypnotizing

them using occultic techniques. Supposedly he got his aura from

hanging around Katherine Kuhlman's grave.

He picked up her energy. I mean, where do you find that

in the scriptures? Katherine Kuhlman was told never

to come back and Butler again because when she was up there

they scammed the people and they had people faking like they were

healed. Where some people knew, some of

the people from the community said, where were you up there in

crutches for you Don't you were, you know, you didn't need

crutches. Well, they paid the people.

They were plants in the audience to get the hype going.

God in his mercy, though, works in the midst.

Of these. Foolish situations because

someone might be out there broken hearted, calling on God

for a miracle, and God will do a miracle in spite of the people

because He loves people. His heart breaks over the needs

of the human heart and what it's going through and the horror

that people have to live. So God still does miracles, but

not dependent. On these false prophets and

these false leaders. Did Jesus?

Live in a mansion. The Bible says he didn't have a

place to lay his head, did Jesus?

Want people's money? He didn't even touch the money.

He had Judas carry the money bag.

Did Jesus want fame whenever? He did a miracle.

He told people not to tell anybody what happened.

When the people went to crowd around him, he tried to find

ways. To escape these false prophets

say if you do this, God will do this.

Years ago I was at some of these meetings.

People in wheelchairs in the front of the building,

heartbroken, praying for a miracle or the front man before

the speaker comes on says, you know, in order for God to move

today, we have to prove our faith.

And the way we prove our faith, we're going to take another

offering. One offering wasn't good enough.

And if you really want God to move, you have to really give

everything. You have to show that you

believe him and you're trusting him.

I mean, the scam, it's heartbreaking and so.

The idea is God's a genie in heaven who exists to answer all

your desires and all your dreams.

And that's the God in this world.

Now in the modern church, it's all about an earthly Kingdom,

not a heavenly Kingdom. What did Jesus say?

My Kingdom is not of this world. His Kingdom is to come.

But the modern church is saying no Kingdom now the best car you

can get. The best house you can get.

God wants you to prosper and be healthy and well.

It's all designed to cause people to be prepared for the

message of the Antichrist, right?

Because the Antichrist is going to come and promise physical

prosperity, prosperity on earth. Financial markets will be better

than ever before. You'll live in conditions that

you never dreamed possible. It's developing a dream and a

Nirvana on earth that the world at that time will say this is

what we've always wanted. And the unfortunate thing is

that the Christian community is being scammed to be prepared to

be deluded. Now I believe true Christians,

by the grace of God will not fall victim to that and they'll

escape that. There's a time for all of us

that we're really in Christ and born again, that we'll look at

the Word of God and we'll. Look at the places.

We worship and finally say enough is enough.

This is a lie and will earnestly contend for the faith as Jude.

Said that was once delivered to the Saints.

The scams that are. Out there today, the Counterfeit

Gospels, Dave. Hunt wrote a book years ago

called The Seduction of Christianity.

I highly recommend it. Hank Cantigraff wrote a book

called Christianity in Crisis. It'll give you more.

Color and more filling in. Regard to names of people false

prophets their history, their example their.

Scams and their lies now go to Matthew.

This is what Jesus says himself in Matthew 2411.

And he gives the warning. Clearly, he says many false.

Prophets will rise. Up and deceive many go down to

23. If anyone says to you look here

is a Christ or there do not believe it.

That's what's going to happen when the Antichrist is on the

earth, the false prophets going to say Christ, Emmanuel is in

the temple in Jerusalem, go worship him.

For false. Christs and false prophets will

rise. And show great signs and wonders

to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

It says if possible, the elect, the elect can never be deceived.

But if it was possible, these scams will be so powerful that

they'll deceive even. Those that have been chosen by

God, he says, see, I've told you this beforehand.

Therefore, if they say to you, look he is in the desert, do not

go out or look, he is in the inner rooms, do not believe it.

Now this individual, this Antichrist, if you flip over to

Matthew 7, this is his persona, his agenda.

Now a. Lot of people will stand in the

final. Judgment people that somehow

thought they were involved in signs and wonders.

And Jesus says in verse 21, not everyone who says to me, Lord,

Lord shall enter the Kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will

of my Father in heaven. It says, many will say to me in

that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesized in your name,

cast out demons in your name, and done many wonders in your

name in verse 23? And then I will declare to them,

I never knew you, depart from me, you who practice

lawlessness. Now flip back over to 2nd

Thessalonians chapter 2. What is lawlessness?

Second Thessalonians, chapter 2, verse 8.

2 Thessalonians 2:8

It says then the. Lawless one.

This is referring to the Antichrist.

He will be revealed. Who the Lord will consume with

the breath of his mouth, and destroy with the brightness of

His coming when? Christ comes back, this

Antichrist. Will be toast.

Literally. It says the coming of the

lawless one in verse 9 is, according to the working of

Satan, with all power signs and lying wonders.

All power signs and lying wonders the practice of.

Lawlessness is sin. The continual breaking of God.

'S commandments. How many people in here remember

a time when all you wanted to do was sin?

Anybody remember those days? It, it was easy.

It came natural. Every day I'll be thinking like,

what can I do? What kind of evil thing can I do

today? But to me, evil was good at that

time that I had a propensity for sin and lawlessness.

I practice it. I was a devoted follower of

unrighteousness. My whole life, every day was

consumed with myself. And what?

I could get out of this life for me, regardless of who it hurt,

who it took advantage of, and who I conned or ripped off.

It says that this Antichrist will be one who continually

breaks the commandments of God during the end times.

This is what it's going to be like.

People will become incapable of even even recognizing error sin.

Have you met anybody that they don't think there's such a thing

as sin? You talk to them about sin and

they look at you like you're from another planet.

They they don't even have. A conscience to recognize.

Something as being sinful. It'll be a society that will

inevitably descend into a vortex of vice, violence and vandalism

beyond the ability to imagine, let alone control.

Anybody ever watch that movie Mad Max the Thunderdome?

Remember that movie? Would you want to live in those

days? The whole earth was pretty much

destroyed, right? The people were like animals.

There was no justice, there was no laws.

It was complete chaos in the world, and that's what it'll be

like. Near the time of Christ's

return. Galatians warns.

Us of the consequences of practicing sin and lawlessness

flip over to galatians chapter 5 now we're.

Galatians 5 · chapter mention

Reading about the Antichrist. Today and and the False Prophet

and the dragon the. Unholy Trinity and it's it's

really easy to get focused. On the the the image of what's.

Going to transpire and missing out in the practical application

or what does that mean to you and me today?

Now in any given audience, I don't care if it's three here

today or there's 3000. You have believers and

unbelievers and you have pretenders, and pretenders are

people that say why believe who? Jesus is and the Bible says,

well the devil believes and he trembles and yet your.

Life is habitually still. Involved and practicing

lawlessness. And Paul writes this to the

church in Galatia, verse 19 of chapter 5.

He says the works of the flesh are evident, their adultery,

fornication, uncleanness and lewdness, idolatry, sorcery,

hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish

ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murder,

drunkenness, reveries and the like, of which I tell you

beforehand, just as I've told you in time past, that those who

practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

We need to underline that in our Bible.

You know when Paul says examine yourself, whether you're in the

faith? I need to examine myself.

Is my life a life of obedience to Christ in his lordship, or am

I living in habitual lawlessness?

In other words, my secret life, my private life?

If I'm living and breaking God's word day in and day out, doesn't

matter what I say, I believe, right?

I'm not going to inherit the. Kingdom of God.

If you're here today. And you say you're a Christian,

but you have no. Conscience in breaking the.

Law of God, His word that you have no conviction of.

Moral impurity and unholiness and.

That you live in a way that if you.

Were in a trial and people. Were going to convict.

You of evidence there would not be enough evidence to convict

you that you were a Christian because of.

The way people see you live the counterfeit in verse 24 it says

those who are Christ have crucified the flesh with its

passions and desires if I'm really.

Christ, I'm not perfect yet and I still sin and you do too.

But my heart of hearts is that I don't want to sin anymore.

When I sin it makes me miserable and I I'm not wired to want to

do that anymore. I have a conscience.

I have a conviction and that my life now is to continually see

the power of sin crucified in my life that I don't have the.

Desire to go get hammered anymore or to go sleep around,

to be a person that rips off my employer or a person that just

wants to RIP people off. I don't have that intention

anymore in my life. And if I still have that

intention in my life, then I'm still lost, right?

Because the Bible says if you're in Christ, you've crucified that

old life. It isn't controlling you

anymore. The counterfeit of a true

Christian is someone who practices sin.

The definition for sin is lawlessness.

It's the anti God attitude and it results in a habitual

breaking of God's word and the man of sin.

This is what he. Does and whenever you and I?

Break this word of God. It brings guilt to our souls.

It brings disease to our bodies. It brings disorder and disasters

of all kinds. When I look at this situation in

some people's lives of the chaos and the ruin and the the history

of the aftermath of of this. One horrible thing after

another. It can't be attributed to

anything, but what I sow I reap if I sow according to the flesh.

I'm going to reap according to the flesh and as a young.

Man, I sowed a lot of sin according to the flesh.

Christ has forgiven me his, his blood has cleansed me.

But you know what? I still suffer some of the

ramifications of what I did in my life, and you do too.

And that's why you young people, you're here today.

You're starting out brand new. You don't have to do some of the

things your dad did. Or your mom did.

Or your. Grandfather, your grandmother

did. You can start out and not be

scarred in your life because of sin.

I'm in my 50s now and every once in a while I say, man, where'd

that weed come from? Cindy and I were out like doing

weeds yesterday and it is like these vines that are growing

into the grass and I'm like these.

Obsessive Scots lawn care type person I want nice grass, right

and I see these weeds, my neighbor's grass, it's a mess

and and they're coming into our yard and I'm thinking how can he

let these weeds come in our yard?

We're like, you know, so we're up there like pulling and

they're like vines, you know, you start pulling a couple out,

but then also it's like it's. Big like.

String and you got to sort of find out where it ends because

if you just pull like a little part of it, the roots still

there. And so you got to like really

work to get that stuff out. And I know we didn't get it all

out because when we get back from vacation, there's going to

be more out there. And that's what what sins like

as you get older, you're. Looking at your beautiful garden

one day. And you said, boy, it looks

nice. Flowers and you look.

Down, man, there's some weeds in there and.

It's choking, this thing. Out so you reach down you.

Pull it out. You make sure you get it out of

the root, you know? But it just seems like the

garden ever is completely free of weeds.

Is it? And my life isn't ever

completely free of the sins that I sowed as a foolish young

person. And so God shows me those things

not to haunt me or to condemn me.

He just says Clark. See that?

That was sown way back then. This is why you act this way

when this kind of situation. Comes up or you respond.

This way, when this circumstance comes up, it's still.

Rooted. It still has a connection to

your heart and your mind. And so let's, let's pull it out,

let's RIP it out, let's take the root out.

And that's called repentance, right?

That's constantly recognizing what needs to change from God's

perspective needs to change. And so I submit, I respond, and

it's an awesome. Thing when the root is pulled

out because then I can truly look in the mirror one day and

say, you know. I don't have that problem

anymore with that particular sin because God pulled the root out.

But if I look in the mirror and I know down deep inside that I

still have a problem with a particular sin in my life, it's

because I haven't let the Lord pull the root, and it's because

I still don't want to repent of it because I still take a

degree. Of pleasure and whatever.

And we're all in. Process regarding that.

But the man of sin is the one that is the focal point in the

sense of what John the Theologian is teaching in

Revelation 13. Today's emphasis on signs and

wonders are setting the stage for the worldwide delusion.

Paul gives us warnings in Second Corinthians about Satan coming

as an Angel of light to deceive. The very elective possible

people will look and say, well, this person, they seem so holy

and look what they're doing and their miracles.

Don't be shocked that the devil can counterfeit and come as an

Angel of light, the beast, the earth verse 15 he's the.

False prophet. And he's gonna have this

animated image. Are you guys?

Amazed at what Hollywood can do right now.

The technology. Anybody been to Disney World and

MGM Studios? Anybody been there?

The animated things. I mean, you look at these things

and they're so real. They move and they talk and, you

know, they do all this stuff. Well, technologically, now we

have the capability to set up a. Figure somewhere in the.

World that will be able to communicate all kind of

information to. People and he'll be so amazing

and how he's developed and created, whether it's through

technology or through lying signs and wonders of the occult.

He'll be the focal point of the. Worship around the world and

this individual is going to actually be built, it says, by

the Antichrist. He's going to give breath to the

image of the beast, and the image of the beast should both

speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the

beast to be killed so. In other words, anybody.

That is found not worshipping this beast will be destroyed.

And wiped out the only people that won't worship.

Him at that time will be people who come to Christ during the

the time of the the tribulation. And we're told in the scriptures

to not worship idols. We're warned not to worship

graven images, and the Antichrist will be the

abomination of desolation who will set himself up in this

world as the one who is to be worshipped and not Christ.

And what's happening now? Like to read something from a

book? It says the modern progression

of apocalyptic moods and expectation is bound up with the

obvious degradation of man's moral state and especially of

his rulers, and of those rapidly increasing tendencies to

concentrate political, informational, technological,

economic and military power in the very tight circle of

international supermen who are free from moral and other higher

human sensibilities and motives. A clear picture can be drawn

from all this and. How A1 world?

Government could be created, the head of which will be chosen out

of this band of gods having unlimited computer power, and

who will establish a universal enslavement of everyone on

earth, both individually and nationally.

All this matches perfectly with the apocalyptic prophecies about

a totalitarian regime under a universal ruler who will call

himself the Christ and Savior of all mankind.

The logical outcome of this new. World Order.

Anybody ever heard that term New World Order?

Under conditions of spiritual, moral, ecological, energy,

demographic and other crisis is afflicting the modern world,

obviously likewise match the meanings of these final events

in the life of humanity, about which the revelations of John

the Theologian speak. The terrible destruction of the

entire planet, I mean. If you look back to what

computers could do 10 years ago, you would have never dreamed

they could do what they could do now, right?

Some of you guys have those phones where you can have those,

you do the text things, but you can actually have face to face

conversations, right Online that companies have meetings.

I have a go to meeting. I have to go do a seminar.

And I'm sitting there with people all around the United

States in front of the computer watching this webinar and, and

now the capability of not any you to watch what they're

watching what everybody else has.

Seen but them to see you and when will there will come a time

and you read it in 1984 Orwell's book right Big Brothers watching

where every one of us will have to get up in front of our

computers, which just about everybody has.

We'll have to be there as a family to to give an account of

where we are and we'll be told what's going to happen that day.

Basically, we're going to be instructed, we're going to be.

Controlled. There's going to be a chip

either in your hand or in your. Forehead, the revelation says.

The Commerce will. Not be able to happen without

the access number of the Mark of the Beast, and it's interesting

we'll get into this next week that the 666 number is symbolic

of. Mammon and in.

Kings it talks about whenever they brought the gold to Solomon

once a year, the number of the weight of the gold and.

We'll look into it. Next week was 666.

And so we're, we're living in fascinating times.

And, and this, this isn't to pick our ears and say, oh, wow,

this stuff's cool. It's fascinating.

It's interesting. The Bible says that we're to

look up because our redemption draws nigh.

It says everyone that has this hope in himself purifies himself

even as they as he is pure. So if we study this stuff and we

don't have any kind of. Sensitivity that Where is my

life today in light of these things that are eventually going

to come upon the world? What about my children, my

grandchildren, my relatives, my neighbors?

Is my heart broken over people who are going to be deceived?

It's bad enough to lose someone today that doesn't know Christ

right and they're in hell forever.

But it's even more incomprehensible to think about

all the people in your sphere of influence today that have no

knowledge of the truth. The people you work with every

day that if Christ comes and we're raptured out of here and

they're left on the earth, they were going to face these things.

And chances are most of them are going to worship the beast that

should disturb us. If it doesn't, then we got hard

hearts and we can't reach everybody in the world.

I got a sphere of influence. You do.

Too. Your influence is yours.

Mine's mine, but I'll tell you wherever God has put us.

Guys, it's for such. A time as this it really is.

Amen. This has been Living Waters of

Whether you're a fan of reading ahead in books of fiction,

there's such a benefit to reading ahead in the Bible to

read about how it all ends. But in an interesting turn of

events, the Book of Revelation is not really the end, but

rather the beginning. It's the end of life as we know

it here on earth, but there's so much to look forward to for what

comes after all the judgement of the earth and those who reject

God. There's a lot to work through,

and it can be heartbreaking to read through the intense

judgments and wrath that will come on those who hate God with

all their might. The thing is, God has given

chance upon chance to these people.

They don't want it. So the outcome is that there are

judgments and consequences for those who've rejected the good

news and the gift of salvation that's offered through Jesus's

death and resurrection. Are you one who has heard about

these things but doesn't really want it because you want to live

life on your terms? Trust me, living for Jesus is so

much better. That doesn't mean it will be

easy, but as you listen and read through Revelation with us,

you'll come to a stark realization that you don't want

to be on earth when the apocalypse happens.
