  1. This is Living Waters of Grace, the teaching ministry of Clark

  2. Wofford, senior pastor of Calvary Chapel of Westmoreland,

  3. County of Greensburg, PA. Now here's Pastor Clark as he

  4. continues teaching through God's Word.

  5. At this great White Throne judgment, there's going to be

  6. famous people there, there's going to be rock stars there,

  7. there's going to be people that did great things on the earth

  8. and the world thought they were wonderful, but these people were

  9. heathen. They never bowed their knee to

  10. Jesus Christ. They never repented of their

  11. sin. They never allowed the Holy

  12. Spirit to save them because they rebelled against the Lord.

  13. The small and the great will be standing there and the books

  14. will be open. The Word of God is what judges

  15. us. When I preach on Sundays, I'm

  16. not judging you and you're not judging me.

  17. There cannot be 1 without the other.

  18. Often the love and grace through salvation that's found in Jesus

  19. is shared with others, while the understanding of what true

  20. eternal damnation means is left out.

  21. Sometimes, in order to be able to really see the good news for

  22. what it is, we need to share the bad news as well.

  23. Today, Pastor Clark teaches us that we have a responsibility to

  24. share both sides. We must warn our neighbors,

  25. friends, and loved ones that if they don't believe, they will

  26. have to suffer hell. Now here's Pastor Clark in

  27. Revelation Chapter 20 with today's edition of Living Waters

    Revelation 20 chapter mention

  28. of Grace. This rich man is able to see

  29. this beggar, and he is in torment, it says in verse 23,

  30. And in being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and

  31. saw Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosom.

  32. And he cried. And he said, Father Abraham,

  33. have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip

  34. of his finger in the water and cool my tongue, for I'm

  35. tormented in his flame. Think about the day that you had

  36. the greatest thirst, that you were begging for water.

  37. I had my appendix out when I was in 9th grade.

  38. They couldn't give me water because I had perinitis all

  39. through my body and they had tubes running in me.

  40. I must die. And I remember making promises

  41. to God. I'd hear the bells at Seton

  42. Hill. I didn't even know who God was

  43. at the time, but I heard the bells in the conviction.

  44. I said, God, if you get me through this, I'll follow you.

  45. All the days of my life I lied. When I got out of that hospital,

  46. I went back to my sinful ways. But I remember laying in that

  47. hospital so thirsty. All can't you saying to the

  48. nurse, can I have it somewhere? No, the doctor said, you can't

  49. have any water. Oh, please.

  50. I I mean, I, I would do anything for a glass of water.

  51. I was parched. I just, that's all I could think

  52. of this water, this water, this water.

  53. And finally they had mercy on me.

  54. They gave me ice chips, but you know, it didn't work too good.

  55. You know, ice chips didn't quench my thirst.

  56. I'd let them melt a little bit so I could try to sneak and

  57. drink the water, but they'd come in before the chips were

  58. completely gone. And then soon as they saw water

  59. and they dump it out and put ice chips back in again.

  60. It was this terrible. But this man saying I just want

  61. a tip of a finger and water to cool my tongue from tormented in

  62. this flame. That's what your loved ones are

  63. facing. That's what your neighbors are

  64. facing. That's what your Co workers are

  65. facing. Luke 28 verse 28 there 1628 for

  66. I have 5 brothers. That he may testify to them,

  67. lest they come also to this place with torment.

  68. He's begging them send someone to my family and tell them they

  69. don't want to come here. And Abraham says in verse 21

  70. they have Moses and the prophets, let them hear them.

  71. And he said no father Abraham, but if one goes to them from the

  72. dead, they will repent. He said to them, if they do not

  73. hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded,

  74. though one raised from the dead now thanks.

  75. Jesus rose from the dead. To this day people reject the

  76. truth of hell. They don't believe Matthew 812

  77. But the sons of the Kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness.

  78. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

  79. Those who are part of this Kingdom of darkness, of Satan

  80. will be cast into this outer darkness.

  81. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

  82. Matthew 2213. Then the king said to the

  83. servants, Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast

  84. him into outer darkness. There will be weeping and

  85. gnashing of teeth. Jude verse thirteen, way in the

  86. back there, right before you get ready to go into the Book of

  87. Revelation there. Jude verse 13.

  88. This is talking about the lost raging waves of the sea, foaming

  89. up their own shame, wandering stars, for whom is reserved the

  90. blackness of darkness forever. Luke 1328.

  91. How long does this last for people?

  92. Luke 1328 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, for when

  93. you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets and

  94. the Kingdom of God and yourselves thrust out.

  95. Hebrews 6 tells us it's a place of eternal judgment.

  96. There's no hope of release and turn over to Revelation 21.

  97. We'll be there next week, but we'll take a little preview of

  98. what it warns and says is going to happen to those who don't

  99. have Christ. Revelation chapter 21, verse 7

    Revelation 21:7

  100. and 8. It says He who overcome shall

  101. inherit all things. I will be his God and he shall

  102. be my son. We overcome by the blood of the

  103. Lamb and the word of our testimony.

  104. It tells us earlier in revelation.

  105. But this is the state of those who have these issues.

  106. The cowardly, unbelieving, abominable murderers, sexually

  107. immoral sorcerers, idolaters and all liars shall have their part

  108. in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the

  109. second death. Now we need prayer guys.

  110. We all do, and I want to have some prayer today about lost

  111. people, the people outside this building, the people that we

  112. face every day in our life that maybe we've never shared our

  113. faith with. We haven't warned people.

  114. We haven't warned our neighbors. Maybe we haven't warned our

  115. loved ones, our friends, our buddies in school, no matter how

  116. old. We have this responsibility to

  117. tell people about the grace of God, the mercy of God, His

  118. forgiveness and His salvation. So great is salvation, but we

  119. also have the responsibility to warn them that if they don't

  120. believe, they're going to have to suffer hell forever and ever.

  121. Turn to John chapter 3 Gospel, John chapter 3, the importance

John 3 chapter mention John 3 chapter mention

  122. of being born again. Jesus said in verse three, you

  123. must be born again. I say to you, unless one is born

  124. again, he can't enter into the Kingdom of God.

  125. The way we're born again is that we repent of our sin and we ask

  126. Christ to forgive us and have mercy on us and to save us.

  127. And when we repent, it isn't disagreeing with God, it's

  128. turning from the sin. I'm coming to you, Lord, and I'm

  129. asking you to save me. So I no longer live like I used

  130. to live, and I live like a child of God now.

  131. And God changes our heart, He changes our mind, He changes our

  132. nature, and everything is new. We're walking the newness of

  133. life. I don't want to go back and do

  134. the stuff I used to do when I was lost.

  135. Why would I want to live like I was lost when Christ has saved

  136. me? The Bible says if any man's in

  137. Christ is a new creation, old things are passed away.

  138. Behold, all things are become new.

  139. I don't want the old way of life anymore.

  140. And unfortunately, some of us still want to go back and mess

  141. around with the pig slop. And the Bible says that it's

  142. like a dog returning to his vomit.

  143. God's given us this wonderful inheritance and this glorious

  144. new way of living, overcoming life.

  145. And somehow we're like the children of Israel that God

  146. freed from the bondage of Pharaoh in Egypt.

  147. And God's taken them to the promised land.

  148. And they start having some trials and difficulties and they

  149. think, well, I need to go back and, and do this again because

  150. this, this will make me happy, which is foolish.

  151. And Jesus says in John 316, everybody's familiar with this

  152. verse. For God so loved the world that

  153. he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him

  154. should not perish, but have everlasting life.

  155. This is how much God loves us, guys.

  156. He did it all. He gave it all for you and me.

  157. There's not one thing he didn't do in order to save us to the

  158. other most, there's nothing that's short in his saving arm.

  159. He can save anybody, the worst of people like me and like you.

  160. He says if you believe in Him and believe isn't just a mental

  161. assentage. I'm going to stake everything I

  162. have and everything I am upon Jesus Christ.

  163. And I'm going to live to honor him.

  164. I'm going to live to follow him. And I'm not going to be a friend

  165. with the sinful patterns of the world system anymore.

  166. I'm going to live as a child of God, by the power of God, by the

  167. Spirit of God. But this is a judgement verse

  168. 18. He who believes in him is not

  169. condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already.

  170. Why? Because he is not believed in

  171. the name of the only begotten Son of God.

  172. So if you're here today, God's anger and His wrath is upon you.

  173. Yes, God loves you, He wants to save you, but His anger is upon

  174. you because of your sin. And that's why He pleads with

  175. people throughout the history of time, through preachers and

  176. prophets and evangelists and witnesses, to tell people to

  177. flee from the wrath that is to come.

  178. And verse 36 of John three, he who believes in the Son has

  179. everlasting life. He who does not believe in the

  180. Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.

  181. So if you're here today and you don't have Jesus as your Savior,

  182. God's wrath is abiding on you. You don't want to leave here,

  183. because if you leave here and you die today or this week,

  184. there's no hope for you. There's no second chance.

  185. You can't say, well, I was thinking about believing when

  186. Clark was talking about this, but you know, I had some other

  187. things on my mind. I thought I could do it later

  188. and I sort of believed, but I wasn't ready to really repent.

  189. And so you stand before God and say, well, this is really what I

  190. was going to do. I didn't have time.

  191. No, the Jesus says through Paul, the day is a day of salvation.

  192. Don't put off what you know you need to do right now.

  193. In John chapter 5 verse 24, he says most assuredly I say to

    John 5:24

  194. you, this is Jesus. He who hears my words and

  195. believes in him who sent me has everlasting life.

  196. And boy, I'll tell you if you're here today and you believe this,

  197. take a sigh, a big sigh of relief.

  198. You have everlasting life. It tells us in first John 513.

  199. These things are written unto you that believe on the name of

  200. the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life

  201. by believing in the name of the Son of God, not hoping or

  202. wishing or man. I I don't know, I'm not real

  203. sure the assurance of our salvation.

  204. Paul said, I know whom I believed in, and I'm persuaded

  205. that he is able to keep that which I've committed unto him

  206. against that day. And he who sent me and has

  207. everlasting life shall not come into judgment, but has passed

  208. from death unto life. That's the best thing, isn't it?

  209. That's happened to you and me. If it's really happened to you

  210. that you've passed from death unto life.

  211. Now the clencher for me and for you as believers here today.

  212. Luke chapter 10, verse 2. Jesus said in Luke 10 the

    Luke 10:2

  213. harvest is truly great, but the laborers are few therefore pray

  214. the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest

  215. field. Thank God for technology today

  216. because we have means to get the gospel out that we never had

  217. before. TV, Internet, video.

  218. We can fly to different places in the world and take the

  219. gospel. We podcast these sermons.

  220. We have them on our website for people that want to hear and,

  221. and people do listen. But in spite of all the

  222. technology and all the things that we have, there's still over

  223. 850 unreached people groups in the world.

  224. That's what Paul Dye told me when he was here visiting from

  225. New tribes. 850 people groups in the world who haven't heard the

  226. gospel once. And Jesus has been saying this

  227. about the harvest since he was on the earth, and it doesn't

  228. seem to change. The harvest is still great and

  229. the laborers are still few. And he says for us to pray to

  230. him, the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth

  231. laborers into his harvest field. Now that's what I want to have

  232. today. I want you guys to come down

  233. here, first of all, willing to yield your lives to be servants

  234. in the harvest field saying, Lord, here I am.

  235. Send me. I don't know who it is this week

  236. you want me to talk to about Jesus, but I'm willing to do

  237. that. I want to be concerned about the

  238. people I work with. I don't know how I'm going to

  239. bring it up in the conversation, but somehow I need to let them

  240. know what you've done for me and what you want to do for them.

  241. But they're not going to know unless I talk and I tell them.

  242. And lots of times you're in places in your life that no one

  243. else is going to be the witness but you.

  244. God's put you in such a place for such a time as this that

  245. you're going to be the witness to that person's soul.

  246. You're the only person that's going to be the witness in that

  247. person's life. Perhaps.

  248. Jeff gave me a video one time. It's a horrible video and it's

  249. made-up, but it gets the point across where this these guys are

  250. in high school, they're partying together, they're playing around

  251. and whatever they sports stuff they do together.

  252. One guy is a Christian. He's backslidden.

  253. He's afraid to share his faith because if he shares it, his

  254. buddy might not think he's cool anymore, doesn't want to hang

  255. around them. And so his buddy ends up getting

  256. in an accident and dies and he's in hell and he's writing a

  257. letter back to his friend. I thought you were my friend.

  258. Why didn't you tell me what was waiting me all the times we were

  259. together and hanging out? You said you cared about me.

  260. I thought we were best friends and now I'm in hell and I'm

  261. going to be here forever and ever.

  262. And you're just hearing him screaming and yelling.

  263. Why didn't you tell me? Why didn't you tell me why?

  264. And it's enough. You just want to turn it off.

  265. It's it's haunting in John chapter 4 verse 2, but he said

    John 4:2

  266. to them, I have food to eat of which you do not know.

  267. The disciples said to one another, has anyone brought him

  268. anything to eat and Jesus said to them, my food is to do the

  269. will of him who sent me and to finish his work.

  270. What's your food in your life is your food to do the will of the

  271. Lord who saved you and to finish the work he's given you to do.

  272. Do you not say there are still four months and then comes the

  273. harvest. That's all our in our minds.

  274. Well, I'll get around to it someday later on.

  275. Timing isn't right. I'm not real sure what I should

  276. do yet, but I got time. There's still four months.

  277. Then comes the harvest. Jesus said, behold, I say to

  278. you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are

  279. already white for harvest. In other words, I have all these

  280. people who are ready to get saved.

  281. They're ready. Their hearts are prepared.

  282. My spirits convicted them. And who's going to?

  283. Who's going to pluck it? Who's going to, Who's going to

  284. be privileged to harvest that person?

  285. And we're too embarrassed. Sometimes they're afraid.

  286. Well, they, they might not like me.

  287. They might laugh at me. How do you know?

  288. You might go up to someone you think is like, totally like

  289. against what you're going to say and they're going to say to you.

  290. I've been waiting for someone to tell me this.

  291. I need a savior. I've been haunted at night.

  292. I'm afraid of dying. And I, I didn't know there was

  293. an answer to my sin. I didn't know that there was a

  294. God who loved me who would forgive me of all my guilt.

  295. I remember I was a firefighter in Atlantic City many years ago

  296. before I went to Bible college, and I was really on fire back in

  297. those days. And all I wanted to do is tell

  298. people about Jesus. And I need the Lord by his grace

  299. to pour that same kind of fire in my heart again, 'cause I get

  300. busy like you guys, I get focused and Jesus says, is it

  301. nothing to you? All those who pass by that are

  302. heading toward hell. So they fire him and they say,

  303. hey, they laugh, Hey, here comes the.

  304. They call me the Sneakin Deacon because one time I made a $2.00

  305. bet on the horses at the Atlantic City racetrack.

  306. They caught me in a weak moment. They go, we got him the Sneakin

  307. Deacon. But in a way it was sort of cool

  308. because when I did that, they sort of said this guy's just a

  309. regular guy. He's not a holy roller.

  310. He's not perfect. And but anyway, they said, oh,

  311. we don't want to hear this. Eddie's the guy that needs it.

  312. Eddie, he's a tough guy. He was a concrete guy, and he

  313. was a fireman as well. And Eddie was a tough guy, man.

  314. He's a big brawny guy. And I'm thinking, man, how am I

  315. going to get in a conversation with him?

  316. You know, it's just like, this is a challenge.

  317. And, and I just tried to live it.

  318. And I'll never forget one night, I'm laying in the bunk.

  319. He's beside me in the other bunk.

  320. All the guys are getting ready to go to sleep.

  321. And he said, hey, hey, hey, Claire.

  322. I said, yeah, Eddie. He said, what do you think about

  323. that guy Billy Graham? I said, I like him.

  324. Why, Eddie? Why do you bring up?

  325. I don't know. I was just watching him on TV

  326. the other night. And, you know, I think what he

  327. was saying was really good. I think it made some sense, you

  328. know, and I knew the Lord was drawing him in and I had the

  329. privilege to pray with that man and see him come to Christ.

  330. You just don't know the person you think as farthest from

  331. heaven as many times the person who's closest to salvation.

  332. He who reaps wages, receives wages, and gathers fruit for

  333. eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may

  334. rejoice together. Jesus says, For in this saying

  335. is true, 1 sows and another reaps.

  336. Don't worry about who's there and who isn't there, as long as

  337. you're there, because you're going to give an account before

  338. your Lord for what you did and how faithful you were.

  339. Jesus says I sent you to reap that for which you have not

  340. labored. Someone planted someone watered

  341. it. The easy work is pulling the the

  342. harvest off because it's already the Lord's prepared it.

  343. Others have labored and you have entered in to their laborers.

  344. So I'd like to just have a time and, and starting with me, the

  345. revivals in, in Europe that occurred during the times of

  346. the, the Welsh revival with Roberts and Whitfield and those

  347. guys in the US. And yeah, it was a time like

  348. this where there was people living that were busy with the

  349. affairs of life. And we have intercessory prayer

  350. here. And, and it doesn't matter how

  351. many people are there. Sometimes it's 345 that's there.

  352. And I know many of you are praying too, but we're praying

  353. for souls. We're praying for the Lord to

  354. get a hold of our hearts so that we're about his business.

  355. We can be a church teaching the Bible and, and be proud, but we

  356. go through the Bible expositionally, verse by verse,

  357. and we teach line upon line, precept upon precept.

  358. And the Lord saying, well, big deal, let's live the word.

  359. Let's do what the word saying you're supposed to do with it,

  360. right? Be doers of the word, not

  361. hearers only. And so we pray and, and what

  362. happened in Wales with Evan Roberts?

  363. He was a discouraged pastor. He came in, people were

  364. apathetic and complacent like they are everywhere.

  365. There isn't a church where there isn't complacency and

  366. lukewarmness and indifference. And that's not to condemn.

  367. I said. God knows that's how we are,

  368. right? I can't stir you.

  369. You can't stir me. The sirit's the one that stirs

  370. us. God is the one that pours out

  371. His Spirit for revival. And so they prayed.

  372. And I'm sure Roberts at the time, he goes in there as a new

  373. pastor, 2 old ladies, they come here, they want to pray, and I'm

  374. discouraged. Why isn't anybody else here

  375. tonight? Finally, he just started getting

  376. together with them and praying. Oh Lord, give us whales, give us

  377. souls. Pray, pray, pray.

  378. God had favor upon those three humble people that had nothing

  379. to offer but a cry out to God for him to move.

  380. God heard that prayer, poured out his Spirit upon whales, and

  381. there was a revival of profile. Women would be walking across

  382. the square with their shopping goods and their clothes and all

  383. the things that were important to them as they were walking

  384. across. No one's preaching to them.

  385. They're falling on their knees and crying out.

  386. God be merciful to me, a Sinner. The Holy Spirit's atmosphere

  387. working everywhere. The bars were shut down and

  388. whales. It's sad what happens as history

  389. moves on. Everybody forgets, and God needs

  390. to start another revival, right all the time.

  391. That's because when you think you're going good and all of a

  392. sudden human nature starts going backward, there needs to be

  393. continual repentance, continual revival.

  394. And so they prayed, and a little church like this wasn't filled

  395. very often when the revival broke out.

  396. The coal miners got off of work, weren't going to the bars.

  397. They were coming to this little church and they were packed in

  398. there. They were filthy coal miners.

  399. And when the call was given to come and repent and get saved,

  400. men were coming up front. But there were so many people

  401. crowding the aisles and the pews that the men had to get down on

  402. their stomachs so that people could crawl over top of them to

  403. get down in the front and and cry out for God's mercy.

  404. It was a move of God's spirit. Men would punch fists through

  405. the window and say, don't forget me.

  406. Don't forget me. We need this again in our world

  407. today. America needs revival, and I

  408. know there's many churches like ours around this country that

  409. are praying for the very same thing that we're seeking God

  410. for. God hasn't given up on us yet.

  411. And so I'm just here today as your pastor, just saying, could

  412. you come and say, Lord, here am I, send me for this harvest

  413. field. I want to give my life for

  414. what's going to last forever and maybe a burden for someone who

  415. needs the Lord to intercede for them and pray.

  416. Jesus said my house shall be a House of prayer.

  417. It's not about having a service and going home and that's it.

  418. It's about us doing business with God because God is doing

  419. business with us today. The first one here, I want God

  420. to do a work on my heart so that I am so compelled to share my

  421. faith that I'm haunted by the power of the Spirit of God that

  422. every chance I have is a spirit gives me opportunity.

  423. I want to be able to proclaim the good news of the gospel with

  424. my customers. I want to be able to talk to my

  425. bosses and the people I work with and my gay neighbors and

  426. need the Lord and my neighbors that live with women on each

  427. side of my house. I want to be able to confront

  428. them with not a judgement, right?

  429. Because who am I to judge? I got my own sins, but the good

  430. news is Christ is a merciful loving Savior and He's able to

  431. save if we repent and he'll help us to turn from our sin.

  432. Amen. This is what the church is

  433. about. It's not about religion.

  434. It's not about anything but salvation.

  435. It's about forgiveness and it's about repentance.

  436. And when God looks down in a church and he sees there's a

  437. people that are going to pray for revival and pray for souls,

  438. and God's hand will be on your life for these things.

  439. He really will. And don't be embarrassed and

  440. don't be shy because This is why we're here.

  441. We're here in these last days as His children to come and to give

  442. our lives and to let them work in our hearts.

  443. We are digging into the Book of Revelation here on Living Waters

  444. of Grace. Pastor Clark is tackling this

  445. challenging book as we try to discern the messages that are

  446. within its pages. There's so much imagery, and at

  447. times you're not always sure what's literal and what's

  448. metaphorical. At one point, there's a

  449. reference to an adulterous woman riding on a beast.

  450. And as someone else mentioned, at one point it almost sounds

  451. like a rodeo from hell. And in actuality it kind of is.

  452. You learn about the downfall and demise of a sinful and

  453. rebellious world, falling down in worship to someone who is the

  454. anti hero, the enemy, Satan working his insidious ways into

  455. the minds of fallen people. It's sad and it's heartbreaking,

  456. but it's a classic story of good versus evil.

  457. Thankfully, we know how this story ends.

  458. Jesus wins, Jesus reigns, and evil is conquered once and for

  459. all. We pray and trust you've

  460. received Jesus as your Savior. But if you haven't, don't wait

  461. until the events and revelation become what's happening on the

  462. streets. None of us wants you to be there

  463. at that time. Instead, we'd love for you to be

  464. with us in heaven as we celebrate the marriage supper

  465. with Jesus as his bridegroom. To get a better understanding of

  466. where we are in the Book of Revelation, to listen to any

  467. messages before or after this one, you can find them at our

  468. website, calvarychapelonline.com.

  469. That's it for today's edition, but we hope you'll want to hear

  470. Pastor Clark teach more from the Book of Revelation.

  471. It can be exciting to think about the future for believers,

  472. but it can feel a bit harrowing for those who don't believe.

  473. Come here more next time on Living Waters of Grace.
