  1. If you'd turn in your Bible with me to 2 Corinthians

    2 Corinthians 10 chapter mention

  2. chapter 10, we started there last week. And it's

  3. rare that I get to preach twice in a row, and

  4. so I'm going to preach the same message again.

  5. No, that's not true. I'm going to preach part

  6. two. And I want to just recap a little bit after

  7. I read verses 1 through 6. 2 Corinthians 10.

  8. 1 through 6. Now I, Paul, myself am pleading

  9. with you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ,

  10. who am present and lowly among you, but being

  11. absent and bold towards you. But I beg you that

  12. when I am present, I may not be bold with you

  13. with that confidence by which I intend to be

  14. bold against some who think of us as if we walked

  15. according to the flesh. For though we walk in

  16. the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.

  17. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal,

  18. but mighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds,

  19. casting down arguments and every high thing that

  20. exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing

  21. every thought and captivity to the obedience

  22. of Christ. and being ready to punish all disobedience

  23. when your obedience is fulfilled. Father, open

  24. up your word to us this morning. In Jesus' name,

  25. amen. Amen. And so Paul, if you look down in

  26. verse 10, was dealing with people in his church

  27. that were challenging his authority. And it wasn't,

  28. I don't think, Paul that was so much concerned

  29. because they were defaming him, but because they

  30. were causing dissidence in the church and division.

  31. And so he recognized that the speech that was

  32. coming forth, it said, oh, Paul's bold in his

  33. letters, but when he's here, he's not the real

  34. deal. And that's what they were saying about

  35. Paul. It was dividing the church because many

  36. looked to Paul for leadership, and they were

  37. trying to diminish Paul's authority. And Paul

  38. was saying that, he was saying, when I get there,

  39. I'm going to deal with some. I don't want to

  40. have to be bold. I don't want to have to show

  41. the confidence that I have in Christ. But towards

  42. some of you, I will. And he refused to tolerate

  43. within the body that which would cause division.

  44. And so he was dealing with it head on. And he

  45. was saying these arguments, these vain imaginations,

  46. these fleshly carnal thoughts. that the enemy

  47. is using to destroy the church, I'm going to

  48. use the weapons that God has given to me, the

  49. weapons of our warfare that are not of this earth,

  50. they are not carnal, but they are mighty in God,

  51. and I'm going to use them to pull down these

  52. division -causing things. I'm not going to tolerate

  53. division in the church. And so, We talked about

  54. last Sunday the fact that sourcing matters. Where

  55. your authority comes from matters. And I believe

  56. that every one of us that have given our hearts

  57. to Jesus Christ have authority as sons and daughters

  58. in the house. Hallelujah. In Revelation chapter

    Revelation 1 chapter mention

  59. 1, I didn't cover this last week, but the Bible

  60. says that you and I are kings and priests in

  61. the world today. And a king is little K. Jesus

  62. is the big K king. And we are the little K kings

  63. under him that carry out his mission in the earth.

  64. We have authority that have been given to us

  65. by Christ. Hallelujah. Sourcing matters. And

  66. I kind of finished with that first part. The

  67. weapons of our warfare are not carnal. They are

  68. not of this world. Before I go further, I want

  69. to just list, I did at the very end, but I want

  70. to walk through more weapons of our warfare.

  71. We have the authority of God, which we talked

  72. about already. We have... The Word of God. This

  73. is why every Monday morning when we have prayer

  74. online, in fact, you can join us on Facebook

  75. at 805 on my personal Facebook page, or you can

  76. come in person and you can pray with us in the

  77. prayer room at 805. It's a powerful time, but

  78. my mantra for that is read the Word, pray the

  79. Word, and live the Word. Because the word of

  80. God is a weapon of our warfare that is not carnal,

  81. but it is mighty in God. Hallelujah. The word

  82. of God. And so Ephesians 6, 17, part of the armor,

  83. the word of God. And so Ephesians 6, 17 says,

  84. take up the helmet of salvation, the sword of

  85. the spirit, which is. The word of God. Now how

  86. does this happen? This happens, we see it in

  87. Acts chapter 4. Peter and John had come back

    Acts 4 chapter mention

  88. to the church having been told by the Sanhedrin

  89. not to teach anymore in the name of Jesus. Because

  90. they saw a man healed at the gate beautiful.

  91. And when the believers began to pray, this is

  92. what they prayed. They lifted up their voice

  93. in verse 24 and with one accord and said, Lord,

  94. you are God who made heaven and earth and the

  95. sea and all that is in them, who by the mouth

  96. of your servant David have said, why do the nations

  97. rage and the people plot vain things? The kings

  98. of the earth took their stand and the rulers

  99. were gathered together against the Lord and against

  100. his crown. And so here, in the middle of their

  101. prayer, they are praying Psalm chapter 2, verses

    Psalms 2:1

  102. 1 and 2. They had read the Word, and now they're

  103. crying out to God, praying the Word of God. Amen?

  104. Now, I hope that in your devotions, when you

  105. read the Word, that you don't stop by reading

  106. the Word. but that you take the next step and

  107. that you pray the Word of God. Hallelujah. Because

  108. when you pray the Word of God, you are praying

  109. the perfect will of God. When you pray the Word

  110. of God, you are praying the will of God. Let's

  111. all say that together. When we pray the Word

  112. of God, we are praying the will of God. The Word

  113. of God. I could spend the rest of the morning

  114. on the Word of God, but let me move on. Jesus

  115. has given us his name. And it was at the gate

  116. beautiful where Peter and John looked at the

  117. lame man and said in verse 6 of chapter 3 of

  118. the book of Acts, silver and gold I do not have,

  119. but such as I have give I to you in the name

  120. of Jesus. Rise up and walk. Hallelujah. And I

  121. want to declare over the church today that God

  122. has given you His name. His name. It is by His

  123. name. It is in His name. It is the power of His

  124. name. Hallelujah. That is above every other name.

  125. The name of Darren Palmer does not go very far.

  126. The name of Cammie Palmer does not go very far.

  127. We are people. We are people. We are mere men

  128. and women in this room today. Our names are not

  129. very high. But the name that binds us all together,

  130. hallelujah, is the wonderful, powerful, eternal

  131. name of Jesus that is above every other name.

  132. And at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow

  133. and every tongue shall confess and every demon

  134. shall submit. Hallelujah. Jesus is above every

  135. other authority and principality on this earth.

  136. It is the name of Jesus. And Jesus taught us

  137. in John 14, whatever you ask in my name, that

  138. I will do. Are you under the name of Jesus? Are

  139. you living for Jesus? Are you living in the name

  140. of Jesus? When you speak the name of Jesus, there

  141. is power that is released. The weapon of our

  142. warfare. And then God has given us the blood

  143. of the lamb. He's given us his word. He's given

  144. us his name. And he's given us the blood of the

  145. lamb. And I want to couple this with another

  146. powerful gift that is not rooted on the earth,

  147. but happened on the earth. It is rooted in the

  148. heavens. And that is this, the blood of the Lamb.

  149. And the Bible couples with that in Revelation

    Revelation 12:11

  150. chapter 12, verse 11, the word of our testimony.

  151. Hallelujah. The word of our testimony. How many

  152. of you got a story of what God has done in your

  153. life? Lift up your hand. You've got a story of

  154. how God has shaped you and changed you and intervened

  155. in your life and rescued you. That is the word

  156. of your testimony. And it is not rooted in carnality

  157. and the things of this world. Your testimony

  158. is rooted in heaven. Hallelujah. And so when

  159. you were washed in the blood of the lamb that

  160. Jesus shed on Calvary, you were given a story

  161. and a testimony. Hallelujah. And Revelation chapter

    Revelation 12 chapter mention

  162. 12. I want to read this because this is so powerful.

  163. Hallelujah. Revelation 12. I'll start in verse

  164. 9. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent

  165. of old called the devil and Satan, who deceives

  166. the whole world. He was cast. to the earth. His

  167. angels were cast out with him. And then I heard

  168. a loud voice saying in heaven, now salvation

  169. and strength in the kingdom of our God and the

  170. power of his Christ have come for the accuser

  171. of our brethren who accused them before our God

  172. day and night has been cast down. And they overcame

  173. the devil and his angels by the blood of the

  174. lamb and by the word of their testimony. And

  175. they did not love their lives unto death. I'm

  176. getting a little loud this morning, aren't I?

  177. Because I'm excited about this. God has not left

  178. his people helpless. You are not helpless to

  179. face the things in this life. You are not helpless

  180. to just succumb to everything that comes your

  181. way. You have weapons of warfare that God has

  182. equipped you with so that you can fight and stand

  183. victorious in the mighty name of Jesus. He's

  184. given you the baptism. Of the Holy Spirit. In

  185. Acts chapter 1. In verse 8. But you shall receive

    Acts 1 chapter mention

  186. power. When the Holy Spirit has come upon you.

  187. And you shall be witnesses to me. In Jerusalem.

  188. And Judea. And Samaria. And to the ends of the

  189. earth. Jude. The brother of our Lord said. But

  190. you beloved. Build yourselves up. In the most

  191. holy faith. Pray. in the Holy Spirit. Pray in

  192. the Holy Spirit. Glory to God. Ephesians 6 .18

  193. says, be watchful and persevere. Pray always

  194. with all prayer and supplication in the Holy

  195. Spirit. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Wow. He's given

  196. us the baptism of the Holy Spirit. You know,

  197. sometimes I don't know what to do. You don't

  198. know how many times that I have been discouraged.

  199. And I haven't always won those battles, but sometimes

  200. I do win those battles. And when I win that battle,

  201. do you know one reason why? It's because I begin

  202. to pray in the Spirit. I begin to pray in tongues.

  203. The baptism of the Holy Spirit. God has equipped

  204. me and empowered me with a prayer language that

  205. he wants to equip you and empower you with your

  206. prayer language by baptizing you in the Holy

  207. Spirit. And when I'm baptized in the Holy Spirit

  208. and I begin to pray in the Spirit, oh, that thing

  209. that gets on me, does that thing ever get on

  210. you? It tries to just weigh you down. It tries

  211. to steal from you. I begin to walk. I like to

  212. walk and pray in the Spirit. I begin to walk

  213. through my kitchen and through my living room,

  214. and I begin to pray in tongues, and I begin to

  215. lift them up, lift up my prayer language to the

  216. Lord, and it isn't long before that thing is

  217. broken, and it just lifts up off of me. It's

  218. a weapon of my warfare that is born in heaven

  219. that the enemy cannot steal from me. I want to

  220. wrap this portion up, so let me just list them,

  221. the gifts of the Holy Spirit. In 1 Corinthians

  222. 12, they come from heaven. They are not sourced

  223. in carnality. Here's another one. We sang about

  224. it this morning. Praise. I want to say it again.

  225. Praise. I want to say it one more time. Praise.

  226. Shake your neighbor and say, Praise! Praise!

  227. Praise is a weapon of our warfare. Let the high

  228. praises of God be in their mouth and a two -edged

  229. sword in their hand. Praise is a weapon. The

  230. enemy wants to silence your voice. But when you

  231. lift it up, In praise. God has ordained praise.

  232. Even in the mouths of children. He has ordained

  233. praise. Well, you don't know what I'm walking

  234. through, Pastor. You just don't know what I'm

  235. walking through. I'm telling you that if you

  236. will lift up your voice in praise, no matter

  237. what you're going through, Oh, if you will lift

  238. up your voice and shout unto God with the voice

  239. of triumph, hell will tremble. Hell will begin

  240. to say, what is happening here? What is going

  241. on here? It's just like in Acts chapter 16, when

    Acts 16 chapter mention

  242. Paul and Silas were in prison, and they were

  243. going to be executed the next day. But at midnight,

  244. Paul and Silas were praying and they began to

  245. sing hymns to God. Hallelujah. And the prisoners

  246. were listening and suddenly there was an earthquake,

  247. a great earthquake, so that the foundations of

  248. the prison were shaken and immediately all the

  249. doors were open and everyone's chains were loosed.

  250. It happened because of praise. I want to challenge

  251. you that are convinced that, well, my calling

  252. is to love the Lord my God with all of my mind.

  253. And so I'm just very cerebral in my relationship

  254. with Him. But there's three other parts to that.

  255. We got to love the Lord our God with all of our

  256. mind. We got to love the Lord our God with all

  257. of our heart and all of our soul and all of our

  258. strength. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And so I just

  259. want to challenge you in the midst of your hardship,

  260. in the midst of your struggle, keep. praising

  261. God. Do not let the enemy steal your praise.

  262. Do not let him silence the weapon of praise that

  263. is sourced in heaven. Hallelujah. You keep praising

  264. God. You keep praising God. Earth might do what

  265. earth is going to do, but I'm going to praise

  266. the Lord. I'm going to give glory to the King

  267. of Kings and to the Lord of Lords. That will

  268. set a person free. Hallelujah. Glory to God.

  269. Glory to God. And there's more, but I want to

  270. end with this one. God has given us the weapon

  271. of one another. Look at the person next to you

  272. and say, you're my weapon. You're my weapon.

  273. You are my weapon. You know, marriages in this

  274. room, you are each other's weapon. I've seen

  275. too many marriages agree together to move away

  276. from God. I'm believing for marriages that agree

  277. together that say, hey, we're going to go after

  278. God with all of our heart. We're going to lift

  279. one another up to the Lord. We're going to stand

  280. together in Jesus' name. Friendships in the house.

  281. We stand together in Jesus' name. There's too

  282. many people that are carnal and just dragging

  283. each other around. You don't have to get that

  284. close to God just so you go to church. No! What

  285. did Jesus say? Again, I say to you that if two

  286. of you agree on earth concerning anything you

  287. ask. It will be done by my Father who is in heaven.

  288. For where two or three are gathered together

  289. in my name, there I am in the midst of them.

  290. I want the power of God to flow through my friendships.

  291. I want iron to sharpen iron. I want us to draw

  292. each other closer to the Lord, closer to the

  293. Lord, closer to the Lord. I got a need. I've

  294. been praying on my own, but I haven't seen breakthrough

  295. yet. So brother, will you join with me and will

  296. you pray with me? Because the Word, I know God

  297. is listening to me when I pray on my own. But

  298. if you'll join with me, then we'll fulfill Matthew

  299. 18, 19, and 20. And we'll agree together in the

  300. name of Jesus. One puts a thousand to flight.

  301. Two puts ten thousand to flight. What can an

  302. entire church do? I believe that there is so

  303. much. Power locked up in the church that has

  304. not been released yet. It's time for it to be

  305. released in the name of Jesus. These weapons

  306. of our warfare, they are not carnal. They are

  307. mighty in God. Woo! Hallelujah! What's the most

  308. powerful thing in Logan County? It's the church.

  309. But she is suppressed and silent. But it's time

  310. for the church to arise. And I don't mean politically.

  311. It's time for the church to rise in the power

  312. of the kingdom of God and see souls set free

  313. in Jesus' name. Breaking down the lies of the

  314. enemy, the things that are not true in Jesus'

  315. name. And then the final thing, I was... I believe

  316. that every one of these things has to be touched

  317. by this one. This one is not a standalone. When

  318. you speak in the name of Jesus, you have to couple

  319. it with this one. When you plead the blood of

  320. Jesus, you have to couple it with this one. When

  321. you agree with your friend, you have to couple

  322. it with this one. When you praise, you have to

  323. couple it with this one. And this weapon of our

  324. warfare that touches every other weapon of our

  325. warfare is this. It is, in fact, Paul said in

  326. the armor, he said, and above all, above all,

  327. take up the shield of faith. Hallelujah. The

  328. shield of faith. We have to have faith in God.

  329. We have to have faith that when I pray in the

  330. name of Jesus, he will do what I ask. We have

  331. to have faith that when I agree with my brother

  332. and my sister that God is going to move. May

  333. the Lord increase the weapon of faith among us

  334. in Jesus' mighty name. Hallelujah. Glory to God.

  335. Okay. The weapons of our warfare. God's called

  336. us to use them. Oftentimes, he's called us to

  337. use them to tear down carnality. Paul was tearing

  338. down carnality in the church because he refused

  339. to tolerate it. I'm not going to let carnal thinking

  340. supersede the God kind of thinking. And oftentimes

  341. in our own lives, We tolerate carnality. Things

  342. sourced from the earth. Carnality. Since this

  343. word was given a couple of weeks ago, this verse.

  344. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal. I

  345. have been seeing in my own life carnality. By

  346. that I don't mean gross sin. That's not what

  347. carnality is. Carnality means of the earth. Limiting

  348. myself. To humanness. I have not repented so

  349. much before the Lord as I have in the last two

  350. weeks. I've been seeing desires in my life that

  351. are for my own gain. I've been asking God to

  352. cleanse my heart of things that... I have begun

  353. to do subtly and really not even notice them.

  354. First, I did them because God told me to do them

  355. and He put them on my heart. But subtly, a shift

  356. happens and I do them to gain notoriety among

  357. people. Among Christians. I've been seeing so

  358. much in my heart that I've... That I've just

  359. said, God, I need a thorough, thorough cleansing.

  360. The details that surround what brought this all

  361. out, I don't have time to share this morning.

  362. And God has done a partial work, but even yesterday

  363. I had thoughts and I had to confess them before

  364. the Lord and say, God, wash. me clean. My biggest

  365. enemy to overcome by the weapons of our warfare

  366. is not the devil, but it is the thought processes

  367. and the things that enter my own heart. And I

  368. fear that oftentimes We tolerate the kinds of

  369. thinking in our lives that limit God. Some questions

  370. I wrote down. Is my decision -making process

  371. more led by human reasoning? Or is it soaked

  372. in prayer and listening to the heart of God?

  373. Am I envious of the lifestyles that others enjoy?

  374. Am I envious of the positions, even in the church,

  375. that others enjoy? Do I resist the things that

  376. feed my spirit, finding it easier to give my

  377. time and resources to feeding my flesh? Am I

  378. generally, when I really step back and pause

  379. a moment and look, am I generally unsatisfied

  380. with the life that God has given me? Am I argumentative?

  381. Do I have a constant need to be correct? Do I

  382. crave the accolades of men? Do I crave what others

  383. think of me more than what God thinks of me?

  384. These are all things that are tied to carnality.

  385. When a Christian is carnal, they open up the

  386. door for it to lead to things that are not just

  387. of this world, but to lead to things that are

  388. actually evil and sinful. Carnality will lead

  389. you down that road because it is void of God.

  390. And there is a huge battle between flesh and

  391. spirit. And your pastor is not immune. And I

  392. have been asking God to give me a thorough, thorough

  393. cleansing to not cut the work short. I don't

  394. want to just come to the altar and say, Lord,

  395. forgive me, and then leave. I want a thorough

  396. cleansing and a washing in my heart and to gain

  397. a victory over carnality. Now, I want to read

  398. some verses to you. Are we doing good? Is everybody

  399. okay? You feeling good this morning? You feel

  400. good, all right? All right. I want to read some

  401. verses to you to let you know this morning that

  402. you are not alone. Now, these first two are both

  403. from the Gospel of Luke. The first one, the disciples

  404. had been walking with Jesus for two years in

  405. person. And so they had lived with him and done

  406. ministry with him and experienced an incredible

  407. amount of ministry. Now listen to this. Then

  408. a dispute arose among them as to which of them

  409. would be the greatest. Godly from heaven or carnal?

  410. Carnal. No question. And Jesus, perceiving the

  411. thought of their heart, took a little child and

  412. used a child as an illustration. But then, up

  413. to a year later, this was right before Jesus

  414. went to the cross. In the same gospel, in Luke

    Luke 22 chapter mention

  415. chapter 22, so this is not a crossover scripture.

  416. This is a year later after that conversation.

  417. And it says in Luke 22, 24, now there was also

  418. a dispute among them as to which of them should

  419. be considered the greatest. It was still going

  420. on. The carnality that they were dealing with.

  421. And Jesus said to them, the kings of the Gentiles

  422. exercise lordship over them, and those who exercise

  423. authority over them are called benefactors, but

  424. not so among you. On the contrary, he who is

  425. the greatest among you, let him be as the younger,

  426. and he who governs as he who serves. Be the servant

  427. of all. That's what God sees. You see, Jesus

  428. flipped it all upside down. I want you to listen

  429. to Paul's first letter to the Corinthians. This

  430. is chapter 3, 1 Corinthians 3, verse 1. And I,

    Isaiah 3 chapter mention 1 Corinthians 3:1

  431. brethren, could not speak to you as spiritual

  432. people, but as carnal. Babes in Christ. I fed

  433. you with milk and not with solid food for until

  434. now you were not able to receive it and even

  435. now you are still not able for you are still

  436. carnal. Wow. For where there is envy, strife,

  437. divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving

  438. like mere men? When one says, I follow Paul and

  439. another, I follow Apollos. Are you not carnal?

  440. And so, this thinking of carnality was pervasive

  441. to the twelve disciples. It was pervasive to

  442. the church of Corinth. Do you think that you

  443. and I are immune? We're not immune. We have flesh.

  444. And as long as we're on this side of eternity,

  445. there's coming a day where you don't have to

  446. fight it anymore. Hallelujah. But there's coming,

  447. and that day is not here yet. And so now we have

  448. to wrestle with ourselves and carnality. Carnality.

  449. We have to wrestle with ourselves. It desires

  450. comfort and convenience, the feeding of the flesh.

  451. It desires praise and the recognition of men.

  452. Jesus constantly taught us how to battle it.

  453. Deeds before men. Listen to what he said about

  454. the Pharisees. All their works they do to be

  455. seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad

  456. and enlarge the borders of their garments. They

  457. love the best places at feasts, the best seats

  458. in the synagogues, greetings in the marketplaces,

  459. and to be called by men, Rabbi, Rabbi. But you

  460. do not be called Rabbi, for one is your teacher,

  461. the Christ, and you are all brethren. It's what

  462. they love to be seen by men. And I have to be

  463. honest with myself and ask the question, is any

  464. of that in me? Did you know the opposite is true

  465. too? We like accolades and we like to feed our

  466. flesh. But the opposite is true too. We have

  467. entertained thoughts. That are not from God.

  468. I'll never arrive. I'll never get filled with

  469. the Holy Spirit. I'll never have enough money.

  470. I'll never lose weight or be healthy. Did you

  471. know that those kinds of thoughts are also rooted

  472. in pride? They're carnal. They're what? Idols.

  473. High places. Come down. That's a word from the

  474. Lord right there. Some of you have had things

  475. spoken over you. By authorities. You'll never

  476. amount to anything. And that thing takes root

  477. in your heart. And it becomes a part of your

  478. identity. But it is carnal. It is sourced not

  479. from God, not in heaven. It is sourced from the

  480. earth. It is sourced in your own mind. It is

  481. sourced from the generations that have gone before

  482. you that have spoken those things over you. It

  483. is sourced in the earth. And the whole reason

  484. for these weapons that we just spent 20 minutes

  485. shouting about. is to defeat and tear down these

  486. kinds of carnalities that have to be done away

  487. with. I'll never be free. I'll always be addicted.

  488. No! Why is it wrong? Why is it sinful to entertain

  489. those things? Because God did not. Say them.

  490. They are sourced in the earth and God's called

  491. you to a new place, son. He's called you to a

  492. new place, daughter. He's called you to believe

  493. his word in your life. He's called you to believe

  494. his promises in your life. He's called you to

  495. believe what he says is going to happen in your

  496. life. He's called you to believe his will for

  497. your life. Hallelujah. And it's time to tear

  498. it down in Jesus' name. It's time to say, no,

  499. it's not going to happen. This is a struggle

  500. worth engaging in. And for two weeks, I've been

  501. laying myself before the Lord saying, God, get

  502. these things out of my heart. Using the weapons

  503. of my warfare. One time in the last two weeks,

  504. I laid my hand on my head and I just began to

  505. plead the blood of Jesus over my thinking. I

  506. began to plead the blood of Jesus over my thinking.

  507. Hallelujah. Glory to God. I will. When I was

  508. 35, I went through a health episode. Had to do

  509. with an infection that was in my head. And I

  510. gained victory over it. It took me nine months

  511. and a lot of work. It's a whole God testimony,

  512. which I'll spare you of this morning. But after

  513. that, when I would go to run, it was like there

  514. was space in my head that was left behind. And

  515. I could feel, this sounds crazy, I know, but

  516. I could feel my brain clicking when I would try

  517. to run. And I would go a mile. And I'd have to

  518. stop and I would feel like I was concussed. It

  519. was like there was now space in my head and my

  520. brain was getting sloshed around. And so that

  521. was when I was 35. It's now 18 years later. And

  522. I had convinced myself that I would never be

  523. able to run again. And I would never be able

  524. to get to the place where I wanted to be physically

  525. again. And two years ago I started running and

  526. I really got serious about it this year. And

  527. I want to tell you something that God has delivered

  528. me and healed me and completely set my body free.

  529. Hallelujah. There is right now, I know I'm tall

  530. and skinny and I've always kind of been tall

  531. and skinny and so I don't say this to... Exalt

  532. myself. But I have, I think I've lost 25 pounds

  533. since I started running this past summer. I feel

  534. better than I've felt in two decades. I see a

  535. physical transformation happening in my body.

  536. But it is not just that. It is that coupled alongside

  537. of that, there is a spiritual transformation

  538. happening in my body. And I'm beginning, in my

  539. spirit, and I'm beginning to believe the things

  540. that God has spoken over me. And I'm believing

  541. that that's going to trickle down, not just to

  542. me and to my wife and our family. She's always

  543. been a health nut. And now I'm thankful for that.

  544. I've kind of like, never mind, I'm not going

  545. to go down that road. Because she's going to

  546. listen to this. And then I'm going to get it.

  547. I'm going to get it. Paybacks are never good.

  548. she means more to me now than she ever has. There,

  549. I'll just say that. And some of the things she's

  550. given herself to mean more to me now than they

  551. ever have. And the blessing that is coming upon

  552. me and upon her is coming upon this entire body

  553. in Jesus' name. And this morning, we're going

  554. to break some of that wrong thinking. I will

  555. never be healed. I will never be able to fill

  556. in the blank. We break that in the name of Jesus.

  557. We plead the blood of Jesus over our thinking.

  558. Hallelujah. We plead the blood of Jesus right

  559. now. over every weight that has hindered us in

  560. the name of the Lord. Everything that is rooted,

  561. not in the mind of God, but in carnal type thinking

  562. that has allowed things to take root and determine

  563. our destiny. We refuse to give our destiny to

  564. the enemy anymore in Jesus' name. We refuse to

  565. let... Let the lies of the enemy. I love that

  566. song that Candace led. Get the liars out of the

  567. way. They don't have the final say. There is

  568. only one. Sovereign and supreme. Every word he

  569. speaks is holy. Hallelujah. The Lamb of God is

  570. overcome. My testimony is his blood. Hallelujah.

  571. Glory to God. These are the weapons of our warfare.

  572. They are not carnal. They are mighty in God.

  573. Hallelujah. Friend, you are not meant to be the

  574. tail wagged around by life for the rest of your

  575. days, just having to suffer at every turn and

  576. helpless and just having to just take it all

  577. the time like a punching bag. You are not the

  578. tail. You are the head in the name of Jesus.

  579. God created you and he's gifted you. to operate

  580. in power and authority and all of the things

  581. that God has given to you in Jesus' mighty name.

  582. And so I want to call you, friend, to two things.

  583. One, to brutal honesty. To stand before the Lord

  584. and to say, God, I just recognize, and to not

  585. be afraid to admit and recognize, I have been

  586. a carnal person. I have thought things I shouldn't

  587. think about myself and about others. I need you

  588. to come and cleanse me, God. I need you to wash

  589. me. I plead the blood of Jesus. I thank you that

  590. you have put your name on my life. You have called

  591. me to a higher place than this. And you get brutally

  592. honest and say, God, I have been content to stay

  593. on this plane and just stay here for the rest

  594. of my life and just wander and meander through

  595. life and just let all of these things happen

  596. up until now. And I ask that you would forgive

  597. me for that because I don't want to stay here

  598. any longer. I want to come up to where you are.

  599. I want to walk the way you've called me to walk.

  600. I want to be who you've called me to be. I want

  601. to become who you've created me to become. I

  602. won't forfeit my destiny anymore. I want to tell

  603. you something that I know isn't true, but it

  604. was the way I was feeling, and I told this to

  605. Cammie a couple nights ago. I said, I fear that

  606. there are things in life that have already passed

  607. me by and are too late to recover. And I told

  608. her, I said, I know that's not true, but I'm

  609. telling you that because that's how I feel right

  610. now. Do you know you can be honest? And I want

  611. to call you to honesty before the Lord because

  612. that's how we get those things out of us. In

  613. James 5, it says, confess your sins one to another

  614. and pray for each other that you might be healed.

  615. Amen? And so you say those things not to glorify

  616. those things, but to get them out in the open

  617. and so they can be defeated in the name of Jesus.

  618. They can be gone in the name of Jesus. There

  619. is nothing that is irredeemable. You are redeemable.

  620. You have not gone too far. You have not that

  621. God can't bring you back. You have not sinned

  622. too much that He cannot forgive you. He can restore

  623. and set free and heal in Jesus' name. And then

  624. the second thing, so I want to call you to brutal

  625. honesty. And then the second thing, I want to

  626. call you to radical obedience in taking up the

  627. weapons of our warfare and using them in Jesus'

  628. name. You're not denying your humanity. You're

  629. honest before the Lord. but you're also taking

  630. the gifts that he's given to you and the weapons

  631. of your warfare, and you are using them in Jesus'

  632. name. They are mighty in God. Hallelujah. Oh,

  633. somebody give God praise right now. Give God

  634. praise. Give God praise. Hallelujah. Thank you,

  635. Father. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Father.

  636. Just begin right now. I'm going to ask the worship

  637. team to come. We're going to do that song again,

  638. So Be It, Hallelujah, in just a moment. That's

  639. going to be our celebration moment. Before we

  640. engage in that song, I just want to have a moment

  641. of repentance and a moment of... Just turning

  642. to the Lord and responding to the Word. One of

  643. the most beautiful words in my life before the

  644. Lord is the word repentance. Because when I confess

  645. my sins, 1 John 1 .9 says that He is faithful

  646. and just to forgive my sins and to cleanse me

  647. from all unrighteousness. Repentance is a beautiful

  648. thing. If you've had thoughts that you've entertained,

  649. some of them have defined your life, repent,

  650. turn to God. Say, God, I believe you. Let's just

  651. bow our heads all over this room. Is there anybody

  652. here this morning that would say, Pastor, I've

  653. heard the word and really I'm under conviction?

  654. Because I've tolerated carnality. If that's you

  655. all over this place, just lift up your hand to

  656. the Lord. Yeah, yeah, all over the room. You've

  657. tolerated carnality. But right now, God says

  658. no more, and you need to agree with him in Jesus'

  659. name. In fact, just put your hand on your mind

  660. right now. And just... Use the weapon of the

  661. blood of the Lamb and just say, Lord, wash my

  662. mind and my thinking in the blood of the Lamb.

  663. Lord, we break every word curse right now in

  664. Jesus' name. Lord, we thank you for victory over

  665. every vile thought, every thought that diminishes

  666. God's plan for our lives, God's ability in our

  667. lives. We break it off in the name of Jesus.

  668. And we plead the blood of the Lamb over our minds

  669. right now. We tear down thoughts that exalt themselves

  670. against the knowledge of God. We tear them down

  671. in the name of Jesus. We take up our cross daily

  672. and follow God. Hallelujah. We use the weapons

  673. of our warfare. Oh. Jesus, we call on your name

  674. right now. And we thank you, Lord Jesus, for

  675. redeeming our thoughts and a new training to

  676. come into effect. Because tomorrow morning we're

  677. going to get up and those thoughts might still

  678. be there, but we're going to plead the blood

  679. of Jesus over them and command them to leave

  680. in the name of the Lord. We're going to lift

  681. up our hands and we're going to praise you. And

  682. we're going to say, God, I am going to fulfill

  683. the calling on my life. I am going to walk with

  684. Jesus today. I am going to think the way you

  685. want me to think today in Jesus' name. God, I

  686. thank you for victory in the name of the Lord.

  687. That these weapons are mighty in God, but if

  688. they stay on the shelf, they do nothing. God,

  689. help us to use these weapons that you've given

  690. to us. to govern our own lives, to move away

  691. from the carnality that we all carry more and

  692. more and more and more. We wrestle. It's this

  693. battle between flesh and spirit, but God, we

  694. refuse to just wander through life letting flesh

  695. dominate. God, we believe your word. And we follow

  696. after you. In Jesus' mighty, mighty name. Hallelujah.
