  1. Announcement I know many of you are aware some of you are not,

  2. that Drew and Megan and Gotti's little boy Asher, who was born

  3. just over 3 weeks ago, passed away on Friday.

  4. And so we're going to have a celebration of life tomorrow

  5. morning at 10:30 here in the sanctuary and be praying for the

  6. family. They Drew and Megan are a

  7. remarkable couple, but you can imagine the how hard this is.

  8. So just continue to pray for them and let's be the body of

  9. Christ. Come along them alongside them

  10. over these next number of weeks and months.

  11. Keep them in your prayers. And we're we're going to gather

  12. here tomorrow morning. If you can make it at 10:30 and

  13. celebrate little Asher's life. He was he fought hard, precious

  14. little fella and finally succumbed on Friday.

  15. So be praying for the family. I wanted to make you aware of

  16. that as our church family, some of you you may not know who Drew

  17. is. Drew is our children's pastor

  18. and Drew and Megan, that's it was their little boy.

  19. So this morning we have Dave and Julaine Christensen with us Now,

  20. the first I've been the past year, 23 years, the 1st special

  21. speaker we had all those years ago was Julian.

  22. And she came in and lit it up. It was glorious.

  23. It was wonderful. There were things that were

  24. deposited through her life early on, some keywords that she gave

  25. us that really shifted things. And so we've, we've been dear

  26. friends for many, many years. You know, I want, I want to say

  27. something about Dave. You know, there's, there is,

  28. there's something on him that I felt one time when I was

  29. praying. He probably won't remember this.

  30. I can't imagine he would, but I, I do remember it something I was

  31. I was praying for him and I felt that only on a few other men.

  32. I don't know how to put it into words other than it's a person

  33. who's very secure in themselves and can just bless their wife to

  34. run hard after Jesus. And I remember saying to him, I

  35. said, I said, man, I just love how you just bless your wife to

  36. shine and just go after it and get up in the pulpit and, and,

  37. and he said, well, why wouldn't I?

  38. He just thought I said, but that's what I'm talking about.

  39. Not many men have that that attitude.

  40. There's some there's a grace on him.

  41. They were a match made in heaven.

  42. And I just love this couple. Julaine has been really a mother

  43. to this house. Early on, I had heard of her.

  44. She was, she was doing meetings in Nebraska, extended meetings,

  45. revival pouring out over there. And I had heard of her.

  46. So we, we had her come and, and God just really worked

  47. powerfully through her. People all just touched all

  48. around the altars. She's got this really mothering

  49. thing where people start going through inner healing and be

  50. touched by the Lord. And then she, she has current

  51. fire ministries. She started the hub in, in

  52. Omaha. We used to go over there.

  53. They had a tremendous outpouring for quite a number of months.

  54. I mean, hundreds and hundreds of people were healed.

  55. So she has a long history in the move of God.

  56. And so I am just thrilled to have her here.

  57. Now, I know some of you ladies heard her yesterday, but you

  58. guys are in for a treat. So I want you to give her a good

  59. heartland. Welcome, Julaine.

  60. Come on up here. Love

  61. you. Thank you so much, Pastor Dave

  62. and Kathy, you hold a very special place in my heart.

  63. And he's right. We have a long, long history

  64. together and love the Word. We love revival.

  65. We love the Holy Spirit. And I'm just so grateful.

  66. And I'm really, really mean this with all my heart.

  67. I'm humbled to stand here. I know that there have so many,

  68. been so many great men and women of God who have stood in this

  69. pulpit, and I don't take it lightly.

  70. All right, So thank you. Thank you.

  71. I consider Dave my teacher. If I want to know something, I'm

  72. going to call Dave and I'm going to get my notebook out and he

  73. can go. And I just sit and I love it.

  74. And I also want to honor Kathy tonight, today, tonight.

  75. We were out together last night and I just want to say it was

  76. just such a joy. I told her this morning, I don't

  77. want to embarrass you, Kathy, but it was really the first time

  78. that I really got to hear her story.

  79. And I sat there and I listened to her story and I saw such

  80. love. This woman carries the love of

  81. God like no one I have known. I mean, it just, it was exuded

  82. out of her last night and her love for children.

  83. And she I told her this morning, you just blessed me so much.

  84. My husband and I talked about it on the way home.

  85. So would you honor her this morning too?

  86. Sorry Kathy, I just couldn't resist.

  87. I want to start out. I have a little, little joke

  88. here and well, OK, A mother went to wake her son for church one

  89. Sunday morning. When she knocked on his door, he

  90. said I'm not going. She said, well why not?

  91. Asked the mother, I'll give you 2 good reasons.

  92. He said one, they don't like me and two I don't like them.

  93. His mother replied well I'll give you 2 good reasons.

  94. Have you have your parents ever said that to you?

  95. I'll give you 2 good reasons on why you will go to church.

  96. One, you're 47 years old and #2 you're the pastor.

  97. Well, I want to take just a minute and I want to share my

  98. family with you. I have not done that.

  99. And this was on my heart about a week ago.

  100. And I forgot to get pictures up, but I want to show you this.

  101. This is part of our family. We have 11 grand.

  102. We have three children, 11 grandchildren, and get ready, 5

  103. as of last week. Great grandchildren.

  104. Is that awesome? Yeah.

  105. And this is to get the family together is really getting

  106. difficult. The last Christmas picture we

  107. took, this is 2 years ago. We have a grandson, he's 2, and

  108. he was jumping off all of the furniture.

  109. We couldn't get him down so we could get a picture.

  110. So we have one picture and he's in the air.

  111. Oh, it's so fun. All right, that's let's see.

  112. That's my our senior. He's 6 about 6-3 going on 6/4 up

  113. there. And that's Jennifer's.

  114. And then Bree, who's in junior high.

  115. And then the four dressed all alike are Chads.

  116. And this is my granddaughter and her husband.

  117. And there's Henry. Henry was the one who was

  118. jumping all over. OK, one more, another picture

  119. real quick. And this is our family from

  120. Michigan, and this is our daughter down there, her Italian

  121. husband. I don't think I've ever had

  122. American food in their home anymore.

  123. No, hey, no pot roast and potatoes there.

  124. It's spaghetti and who knows what.

  125. And there, let's see, that's the grandson there on the left.

  126. And then that's Zach and Jack. Zach Jacob can't remember them.

  127. And they are a family now. They just Tori's in the middle

  128. there with the dog. And she just had a baby a week

  129. ago and she has two. This one's pregnant.

  130. So we have 3 in that family. And so let's see one more.

  131. And yeah, that's that. That's Chad.

  132. He used to play drums for me. He's been here.

  133. So that's their family. So we've got Chad, we've got

  134. Jennifer and we've got Nicole. All right, now you got to see

  135. him. Are you OK?

  136. All right, well, let's just stop for a minute.

  137. And, and I want to say about the worship this morning, having

  138. been a worship leader and still are, believe it or not, I tell

  139. you what, kids, wherever you are, there's such a purity in

  140. your worship. I mean, I looked up at those

  141. kids and I thought that's, that's pure.

  142. And you know how many worship teams out there are pure

  143. performance. They sing good words, but the

  144. heart, this purity doesn't come forth.

  145. You can jump and do all kinds of things and that's that's fine.

  146. But that's there's a purity in the way they worship.

  147. There's a purity in the way they dance or there's a purity in the

  148. way they sing the song of the Lord.

  149. And during the worship, I told pastor afterwards, I just sense,

  150. I could just sense the Holy Spirit just coming down just

  151. like this. I thought they're ready for the

  152. next revival here, they're ready for the next something, whatever

  153. it is. But it was powerful and your

  154. worship team is in place. Keep the purity of your worship.

  155. I remember one time doing worship at some event.

  156. It was a big youth thing. And I remember coming up there

  157. and I started to lead worship and I felt this like a door just

  158. closing. This is me.

  159. I turned around and I said, all right, who in here has

  160. unforgiveness or whatever is going on in your heart, take

  161. care of it. I can't worship, you know,

  162. because I could feel it behind me.

  163. So I want to say just keep that purity, kids.

  164. Just keep going after the pureness.

  165. Your worship leader was laying here all afternoon yesterday

  166. preparing for you and to be in the presence of God.

  167. Give them a hand. They deserve that.

  168. All right, Are you ready to go? OK, wait, wait.

  169. I was coming over here for something else, too.

  170. Let's close our eyes and let's just continue to invite, invite

  171. him in to the Word this morning. Without him, everything falls to

  172. the ground and it's just flesh. Holy Spirit, thank you for that

  173. wonderful word on the Holy Spirit this morning.

  174. We continue to invite you. You are so here.

  175. We take time right now to say, Jesus, only your words this

  176. morning. Holy Spirit, I ask that the

  177. words that come out of my mouth, Lord, that they will fly in the

  178. air and they're going to land in your heart and only speak what

  179. God wants you to hear. And even if I didn't even say

  180. it, we just ask that you go deep into every heart.

  181. We ask Lord God that if there are areas in the heart that need

  182. to be worked on or changed and go in and rearrange the

  183. furniture, paint the walls, Lord of our hearts, whatever you want

  184. to do. But Lord Jesus, we are here to

  185. continually, even through the word right now, honor the Lord

  186. Jesus Christ. We love you and we praise you

  187. now in Jesus name, Amen. I found this recently and I

  188. wanted to share it and I want to inspire you to continue to love

  189. the Word of God. To read the Word of God more

  190. than ever now, we have to know the Word.

  191. You get on YouTube and AI is all over the place.

  192. You don't know what's true and what isn't true anymore.

  193. I just almost had to turn it off lately because I thought, is

  194. that, is that really that guy? Is he really saying that?

  195. And so if you don't know the word of God, you're going to be

  196. deceived in this hour. It's very, very important.

  197. I don't know how to stress this more than to get into his word.

  198. So listen to this. The scriptures are God's breath

  199. on a page. Holy men of God spoke as they

  200. were moved by the Holy Spirit. I think that's the first

  201. scripture I learned in 7th grade in confirmation class and I have

  202. never forgotten it. I was 12 years old.

  203. The scriptures are the exhale of God on the pages given to equip

  204. us for every good work for life so that we can do the good works

  205. of who Jesus Scripture. It's not a book.

  206. It's 66 books not written by one person, 40 authors and more over

  207. a span of 1500 years, written on three different continents in

  208. three different languages, Africa, Asia, Europe, in Hebrew,

  209. Greek and Aramaic, and written by King Solomon, a fisherman,

  210. Peter Herdsman named Moses, a Jewish scholar and teacher, and

  211. prophet Paul, Isaiah, Psalms of David, Dr. Luke, a tax collector

  212. named Matthew. Cross reference for these

  213. scriptures is absolutely astounding.

  214. The Old Testament prophet says something and it is cross

  215. referenced from Genesis to Revelation 63,779.

  216. Cross references in the Word, plus 40 authors over 1515

  217. hundred years in three continents, 3 languages and

  218. 63,000 connections. A bunch of guys never got in a

  219. room and decided that they were going to develop a religion and

  220. concoct a story. Amen.

  221. Amen. All right.

  222. Scripture gives us eyewitness accounts and Eyewitness News.

  223. That's the Bible. They recorded what they saw.

  224. Second Peter 16. We were eyewitnesses and holy

  225. men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

  226. God's word is alive. The scriptures will open up and

  227. introduce us always to whom? Jesus, it is not only the

  228. infallible word of God, but it is a literary masterpiece.

  229. Amen. Come on, Amen.

  230. That's the word of God. We love it.

  231. We love it more than ever, right?

  232. So that's a good segue into the Gospel of John this morning.

  233. And I'm just going to start there because I want you to

  234. understand what God has done for us in the Gospel of John,

  235. beginning in chapter 1, verse 18.

  236. And I apologize for the words, but I am amplified.

  237. I have everything else around me when I'm studying, but I love

  238. the amplified. I'm a woman of words.

  239. Would you agree? How many of you know that?

  240. Don't say it. OK, All right.

  241. No man has ever seen God at any time.

  242. The only unique Son and the only begotten God who's in the bosom

  243. of the Father. He has declared Him.

  244. He's revealed him, brought him out where we he can be seen.

  245. He's interpreted him and He has made him known.

  246. God pulled back the covers. He unveiled Him so that you and

  247. I could see where Jesus began in the bosom in the heart of the

  248. Father. Jesus came out of the heart of

  249. the Father. And between all of the words in

  250. the gospel at the end, after Jesus has been resurrected, we

  251. find that he's just spoken to Peter and he's encouraging Peter

  252. afterwards. And then Peter looks over and

  253. who does he see? He sees John, John the beloved,

  254. and John is where leaning on the bosom of Jesus.

  255. So the Gospel is open with Jesus in the bosom of the Father, and

  256. the Gospel ends with John in the bosom of Jesus.

  257. What is he saying? This is the place we need to

  258. live. If Jesus lived there and the

  259. great apostle John lived there, this is where we need to live.

  260. And this moves me this morning into the word that I want to

  261. share with you because I want you to understand that every

  262. word that that is quoted in here, every word that is written

  263. in this Scripture, in this word is true.

  264. Holy men of God spoke. So it's filled with accounts.

  265. Why did God give us all these accounts?

  266. So that you and I could see what happened, you could see Jesus

  267. walking along the road. And what happened as Jesus

  268. walked along the road, he was walking and he was in with the

  269. people, touching the people. He was moved by the people and

  270. he's showing us the way. And as the scriptures open up,

  271. we get a first hand view of what it's like to be with Jesus and

  272. how he lived. And so this morning I want to

  273. talk to you first about waking up.

  274. How many of you have ever been in church and you looked over at

  275. somebody and they were sound asleep?

  276. What does it usually look like? It's not a pretty sight, is it?

  277. It's horrible. You know, drool down your mouth.

  278. You're like, wow, like this. Have you ever tried to time

  279. yourself when you fell asleep? You've got your clock right

  280. there and you're ready. I'm going to time myself.

  281. I'm going to know. I can do this.

  282. I'll know when I'm going to fall asleep.

  283. Guess what doesn't work, does it?

  284. You cannot. You do not know when you fall

  285. asleep. And that's why Scripture over

  286. and over Jesus says don't fall asleep, stay awake.

  287. But I believe what's happened over the last 2025, thirty, 50

  288. years, I don't know. We fell asleep even between

  289. revivals. We've fallen asleep and the

  290. church has been asleep again while the world has run crazy.

  291. They, they are running all over stealing.

  292. They, they, they're burning cars.

  293. They're, they're saying things on Facebook and on who knows

  294. what things that I in all my years and I am older.

  295. I've got 5 great grandchildren. I have never heard.

  296. I am shocked. And while I'm shocked, I

  297. realize, oh Lord, the dark is getting darker.

  298. But we must get lighter. We must.

  299. We cannot fall asleep in this hour.

  300. And I go back and I remember what happened in the last couple

  301. weeks. I'll probably bring this up here

  302. and there. I don't know Who knows where

  303. God's going to take us this morning.

  304. I never know. But we have a good starting

  305. point. Right when our precious,

  306. precious Charlie lost his life, I realized more than ever how

  307. dark our world has become. But I'll tell you what it did in

  308. me. It lit such a fire in me.

  309. I mean, I don't think I've been the same since I saw that video

  310. of him being killed and assassin.

  311. He is a martyr. Call it what you want, but he is

  312. a martyr. And it has hit all of us.

  313. And I'm going to go into that a little bit more, but what

  314. happens in a world that is asleep and in a river?

  315. If you can remember when the rivers were overflowing, Iowa's

  316. full Council Bluffs, that whole area here, what happens is the

  317. river overflows. And when it overflows,

  318. everything from the bottom of the river starts to come up.

  319. And then when it subsides, you look all around at the grass

  320. and, and everything and you see all this junk and you go, was

  321. that in the river? Was that in the bottom of the

  322. river? But here's the thing, everything

  323. hidden in that river that was secret came to the surface

  324. today. Everything that's been hidden

  325. that we haven't seen is coming to the surface because the

  326. Spirit of God is moving now. He is moving in our nation.

  327. He's exposing and He's about to clean up the rotten filth in our

  328. nation. Come on, I'm talking about

  329. rotten filth that's been underneath that we have never

  330. known was there. That shocks you and you step

  331. back and you say, could this possibly be happening?

  332. But we have only to look. It's laying on the ground for

  333. everybody to see. And I say, God, keep exposing

  334. the dirt. Bring it up all the junk, just

  335. keep exposing. But Lord, I'm going to say this,

  336. start with my heart, because if it doesn't start with me, I

  337. cannot point there. Lord, whatever it takes, I ask

  338. you to clean my heart up. Help me every day to walk in

  339. righteousness, to walk in holiness, to be a seeker of your

  340. heart. And as a result of what we're

  341. seeing now, there's an increasing love that's going to

  342. happen because this next awakening is going to be marked

  343. by love, so much love. And I think that Charlie Kirk

  344. walked in that love towards the end of his ministry before he

  345. died. There was such love for man and

  346. such love for God's word and such love for Jesus that I think

  347. it's an example for us of the kind of awakening we're going to

  348. be walking in. It's not going to be swords.

  349. It's not burning cars. It's not standing up and

  350. screaming at people. It's going to be so marked with

  351. such a beautiful love that people can't resist.

  352. I remember a time it shocked me, but I've been praying.

  353. God, I want to look like you. I want to act like you.

  354. I'm going to talk like you. I really, I want to smell like

  355. you. I want an odor of your presence

  356. to come out through me. And this is the honest truth.

  357. I've been praying that so hard. And I was walking out of Lowe's

  358. one day and the parking lot was practically empty.

  359. There was a woman way over here. And I'm way over here in the

  360. parking lot. And as I'm walking to my car, I

  361. hear this woman yell, You are so beautiful.

  362. Who are you? What's on you?

  363. Something like that. And I turned around and I'm

  364. like, is that me? I was the only one there.

  365. And she started quickly walking toward me.

  366. I quickly walked to her. We began to talk and of course

  367. I'm so passionate. I had her hand and we began to

  368. talk and share Jesus. And I put my arms around her and

  369. we embrace. She went that way, I went that

  370. way. Don't think that God will not

  371. use you like that. You're going to exude so much

  372. love. So I want to introduce you this

  373. morning and and before I even do that, I want to say this because

  374. I forgot upfront to say it, but Kate, thank you so much for what

  375. you did at the women's event and all your beautiful women.

  376. I, I give her a hand. It was so amazing.

  377. And here's the funny part. I have to have a root canal

  378. tomorrow. She needs a root canal.

  379. And we're doing the whole weekend and we both need a root

  380. canal. I don't understand that, Pastor.

  381. You're going to pray into that. OK, All right.

  382. I'm doing fine, though. So we're going to read from Mark

    Mark 10:46–52

  383. chapter 10, verses 46 to 52, and I think you're going to get it

  384. up this morning. But I want to introduce this man

  385. as somebody, you know, so don't shut me out.

  386. Don't close your ears just because you know this account,

  387. OK? But there's something so amazing

  388. in this for us to know in this hour as we're waking up.

  389. You know, I want to go back and say this to a few years ago, the

  390. Lord gave me this picture and it was as clear as it can be.

  391. I mean, so many years ago. I've never forgotten it,

  392. actually. And the Lord showed me a bride

  393. laying in bed and she had her covers up over her and she's all

  394. snuggled like this. And I saw the Lord come up and

  395. Jesus would shake her, she'd wake up, she'd turn over and

  396. she'd go again for a good night's sleep.

  397. Then he would shake her again. I believe every time she rolled

  398. over for another good like sleep, we had a little revival.

  399. Something was going on. God was moving, and then she'd

  400. go to sleep again. Then he would shake her.

  401. She'd turn over and look at him and then she'd roll over for

  402. another good night's sleep. And the Lord said to me, that's

  403. the church. I shake her, I awaken her, I

  404. give her a little taste of revival of me there be.

  405. I do all these things for her. And then she goes thank you.

  406. And then she rolls over and goes to sleep.

  407. But this time, this time he's shaking and he's saying you're

  408. not going to go to sleep this time.

  409. You are not going to go to sleep this time.

  410. This is how you don't go to sleep.

  411. OK. Do you have enough?

  412. OK, there we go. All right.

  413. And they came to Jericho, the disciples.

  414. And as Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd,

  415. were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus, which means son

  416. of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside begging.

  417. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to

  418. shout, Jesus, son of God, have mercy on me.

  419. And many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted,

  420. all the more, Son of David, have mercy on me.

  421. Jesus stopped and said, call him.

  422. So they called to the blind man, Cheer up, get on your feet, He's

  423. calling you. Throwing his cloak aside, he

  424. jumped to his feet. He came to Jesus.

  425. And he said, Jesus said to him, what do you want me to do?

  426. And the blind man said, Rabbi, I want to see you go.

  427. He said, your faith has healed you.

  428. And immediately he read, received his sight and followed

  429. Jesus along the road. Bartimaeus, he heard about a

  430. man, a man who was healing the sick.

  431. That means Jesus was walking through the countryside.

  432. He was touching people. And there were so many miracles

  433. that this man who's sitting on a curb blind, he had nothing to

  434. give anybody. He saw nothing, but he heard, he

  435. heard that Jesus was around and in town.

  436. But what we have to remember is that so many people said, what

  437. are you doing? Why are you talking?

  438. Why are you calling out to him? You're nothing.

  439. You're nothing but a blind person.

  440. And so he he sits back down. But the desperation in him could

  441. not keep him quiet. He yells again, Jesus, Jesus,

  442. son of David, a rabbi. I want to see.

  443. He heard of this man. And Bartimaeus, I call.

  444. I call him Bart in my notes. Sorry.

  445. Bartimaeus was desperate to change his world.

  446. He was so desperate he could not default to fear, because if he

  447. had, he'd have lost his miracle. Faith will always keep you.

  448. Fear will always keep you from your miracle.

  449. Have you ever been really desperate?

  450. Anybody in here been really desperate?

  451. One time I was so desperate. I needed Jesus so badly.

  452. I'd gone to church, but there was such a hunger inside of me,

  453. I was just desperate. My husband left for a year.

  454. He got orders to go overseas to be a commander at this small

  455. little island, and I was home with a 2 1/2 year old and a

  456. brand new baby and I decided to finish school.

  457. So in about a year and a few months I went back to school,

  458. backpack on me, carrying babies. But I did it.

  459. But by the time my husband came back, he got orders to

  460. Washington, DC. We went to Washington, DC, and

  461. the hunger inside of me began to stir.

  462. And it was stirring and stirring, and I didn't know what

  463. to do with it. Do you realize that right now

  464. that there are kids out there and people who have committed

  465. suicide who don't want to live anymore, have no hope and

  466. something stirring inside and they don't know how to get

  467. there? They don't know how they didn't.

  468. I didn't know what I was hungry for.

  469. I didn't know that I was desperate for God so much.

  470. But I thought, well, I'll take out my Bible.

  471. I take my Bible and I'd look at my Bible and I think I don't

  472. know what to do with it. The last time I looked at it was

  473. that confirmation class when I got confirmed, I had no idea.

  474. And then I would take the Bible. I'd hear my husband come in and

  475. I'd put it under my bed because I didn't want him to see that I

  476. had my Bible out. Don't tell me why I did that.

  477. I have no idea. But I would hide it.

  478. And then I thought, well, maybe I'll teach Sunday school class.

  479. Maybe that's it. We weren't even going to a

  480. church at that point. And the desperation kept

  481. growing. And this is what I, I've

  482. discovered now is that during that season, when I was

  483. desperate, it was the end of the Jesus movement.

  484. And the Lord showed me recently that at the end there were still

  485. little drops of rain going around the country and around

  486. the world, little drops. And my desperation, it was like

  487. I was sitting on that curb like blind Bartimaeus.

  488. I couldn't see, I couldn't hear, I couldn't feel.

  489. I was desperate for something. And that drop of rain came and

  490. it fell on me. And God sent a woman to me.

  491. And this woman, she took care of my children.

  492. Her husband was a bodyguard for somebody in the presidency.

  493. I can't even remember that far back.

  494. And she said to me one day, she said, I can't watch your kids

  495. today, She said, or this weekend, I'm going to Oklahoma

  496. City. She said, my parents have gone

  497. crazy. They're in this Jesus movement,

  498. whatever it is. But I got to go home and I've

  499. got to set them straight. Well, her name is Keith.

  500. Her husband's name is Gene. So don't get confused.

  501. Keith came back. He came back.

  502. She came back from Oklahoma City.

  503. She'd given her heart to the Lord.

  504. She was baptized in the Holy Spirit.

  505. She was speaking in other tongues.

  506. She couldn't wait to get to me. So here's this desperate girl

  507. sitting there needing something. She didn't know what.

  508. And here comes the raindrop through a woman.

  509. Listen to that. A raindrop through a woman,

  510. through a man. It came through a person.

  511. I'm in this little apartment. Nobody else knew me, but here

  512. she is. She got so touched she could not

  513. wait to get home, to get to me. She had no idea how desperate I

  514. was. And she began to share Christ

  515. with me. And then she shared about this

  516. baptism of the Holy Spirit in tongues.

  517. And I want you to know that I'm very literal.

  518. I take everything literally. So a few weeks later, I go to my

  519. bathroom. How many of you women know that

  520. that's your office at home? You lock the door, the kids are

  521. on the outside. You make sure they're doing OK,

  522. coloring, whatever. But that's your office.

  523. I went into my office and I asked Jesus to come into my

  524. heart. When Jesus came in, here's this

  525. Lutheran girl. I didn't know anything, but I

  526. felt my body, my old body. I felt something come out of me

  527. and it went up and I said I am born again.

  528. I didn't even know what born again was.

  529. And it came out of my mouth. I'm born again.

  530. And then I said, cod, give me this tongues thing that Keith

  531. was talking about. I want I want to speak in

  532. tongues too. I don't know what it is, God,

  533. but I'll take every this been my personality forever.

  534. I'll take everything you have and literal person that I am, I

  535. opened up my mouth and I went because it was tongues, right?

  536. So that means my tongue must do something right?

  537. I didn't know what it was going to do.

  538. I didn't know I needed a voice. I thought it was just.

  539. And my tongue began to wag and it wagged and it wagged and it

  540. wagged. And I ran out of that bathroom

  541. office and I said, I've got tongues.

  542. I've got tongues. I was so excited.

  543. Oh my gosh. I mean, and then that night, you

  544. know, you just, you're so full. I would wake up and my tongue

  545. would flap, flap, flap. And I went flapping for a long

  546. time, but I was so radically changed through that flap that I

  547. LED my Lord, my Lord, He is my Lord.

  548. I LED my husband to the Lord and the baptism as well.

  549. But my tongue was getting so tired.

  550. I mean, it hurt and I'm tongue tied.

  551. So you have to understand I've got a little something there

  552. that holds my tongue down. So it's really hard.

  553. So Keith, I, I said, Keith, I have my tongues.

  554. And she said, good, when you're vacuuming at home, she said,

  555. always vacuum. And she said she was very

  556. precise and, and, and pray in your prayer language.

  557. So I'm going like this and praying in my prayer language.

  558. And she said, then when you go to work and I was working on

  559. Capitol Hill, how could somebody work on Capitol Hill and be this

  560. naive? I don't know.

  561. I'm working on Capitol Hill. I'm a legislative aide.

  562. My husband's at the Pentagon. We drive while I was driving

  563. alone. Then I'm driving down Hwy. 95

  564. all the way to Capitol Hill. And she said when you're in the

  565. car, pray in tongues. So everything Keith says, it's

  566. been true. So I have to do that too.

  567. So I'm in the car and I'm driving.

  568. I look, no car. Stick out.

  569. Tongue flap, flap, flap, flap, flap.

  570. Car comes, pull in tongue. OK, drive a little bit.

  571. Look, no car stick out tongue flap, flap, flap, flap.

  572. Every time I tell this, I can't believe how childlike.

  573. I'm almost embarrassed. And so I get to my office.

  574. I go in the bathroom, close the door, stick out.

  575. Tongue flap, flap, flap, flap, flap, flap, flap, flap, flap,

  576. flap. Go in and do my work.

  577. Go to the bathroom, flap, flap, flap, flap.

  578. I did this for a few weeks. I honestly believe I have to ask

  579. the Father when I get to heaven what he thought.

  580. But my thought is this. My thought is that he looked at

  581. Jesus right next to him and he goes, Son, we have a problem.

  582. I thought, I'm laughing at myself.

  583. We we have a problem. We have to help her.

  584. So he must have put on Keys heart to invite me to true

  585. Episcopal Church. They had a charismatic meeting

  586. and never been to another church before.

  587. I was really scared, but I I took the leap and I was sitting

  588. in their Chapel and I was sitting, I remember where I was

  589. sitting way in the back. And would you believe somebody

  590. walked out and they had a guitar?

  591. You don't think that's funny? In my age, a guitar was not

  592. heard of in church. And I'm like, Oh my gosh, I am

  593. going to hell. And so I'm sitting there and

  594. getting myself together listening to music, and all of a

  595. sudden the gift of tongues was in operation.

  596. Don't tell me that they don't do work that isn't of God.

  597. Because I'm sitting there and somebody gave a tongue and there

  598. was an interpretation. I cannot tell you what the

  599. interpretation was, but there was an interpretation for me.

  600. I heard the tongues and I sat up in my seat and he went, that's

  601. tongues. I mean, it was like a great

  602. awakening. I I woke up and I got in the

  603. car. I couldn't wait to get in the

  604. car. And it came like rivers of

  605. living water out of me. And forever.

  606. I knew then something had happened in my life that was

  607. absolutely incredible. And from that day forward, we

  608. were on a marine base by then in Quantico, Virginia.

  609. I don't know how many people do we?

  610. I had in the house, I was inviting everybody.

  611. I just knew listen. I just knew at that point that

  612. if it's said it in the Word of God, it's true.

  613. So if it's true, then I'm going to lay hands on the sick and I'm

  614. going to see them healed. I've been saved a couple days.

  615. People were getting healed. I was praying for people to give

  616. their hearts to Jesus in the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

  617. Because if God said it here, it is true.

  618. It is the truth. Someday I'm going to ask God,

  619. who did I pray for? I have no idea.

  620. I cannot remember. So like blind Bartimaeus,

  621. desperate sitting there. I was desperate.

  622. You're desperate out here this morning.

  623. There are some of you just like you gave that beautiful altar

  624. call during worship. Thank you.

  625. You're here, You know, you need something.

  626. You've given your heart to Jesus.

  627. But there's a stirring inside of you again.

  628. And I have felt that. I told Pastor Dave, I am feeling

  629. and sensing. I don't like that word feel, but

  630. I'm just sensing this desperation inside of me again.

  631. It's like I I'm older. It's like, God, either take me,

  632. I'm done. I've done a great job.

  633. I guess hopefully with my kids that's the most important thing

  634. and maybe it's time to go home. I was just feeling this like

  635. blah. And I thought, God, if I'm not

  636. going home, something has to happen.

  637. Something has to happen. I'm desperate again and I want

  638. more of you and I don't want to live like this.

  639. I can't live. I've never been able to live

  640. like this. It's so awful as a Christian to

  641. be like this. It's like you're either in or

  642. you're out and you can't be here.

  643. It's just horrible to be here. You don't know what you want.

  644. Desperation is an open door for the release of God's presence.

  645. As you're sitting here this morning, I want you to

  646. understand that Jesus is passing by this morning.

  647. He's passing by right there. He's on you right now.

  648. He's passing by. What do you need?

  649. Just lift your hands and let him do what he wants to do.

  650. If you're hungry, you're desperate this morning.

  651. If you need a healing in your body, lift up your hands.

  652. Thank God. I need you to touch my body.

  653. I don't want to live like this. I'm I'm hurting.

  654. If your heart is asleep, if you groan cold, say God, touch my

  655. body, touch my heart, awaken my heart.

  656. He's passing by right now. Holy Spirit is just jumping from

  657. person to person. He's going to the one who's

  658. desperate. It's like a drop of rain that

  659. dropped on me and my little apartment.

  660. There are drops, raindrops of rain all over here.

  661. If you're desperate, he'll touch you.

  662. Jesus walked down the street. Just receive it.

  663. Come on, just receive it. Come on, your heart's been

  664. really aching. Come on.

  665. Here he comes. He's coming again.

  666. Another wave. Get your hands up and just begin

  667. to receive. Come on.

  668. You're either hot or cold, kids. He's moving.

  669. Come on. Just receive him.

  670. Just receive it. When Jesus passes by, there's

  671. like a river of his glory that leaks God's love everywhere.

  672. His love is leaking this morning.

  673. Come on, it's a burning, fiery love.

  674. A love that no one can refuse. Unless your heart is cold, don't

  675. let your heart be cold anymore. The world needs us.

  676. God needs us to be His mouthpiece.

  677. Don't let this martyr's life go in vain.

  678. Come, Holy Spirit. Come, Holy Spirit.

  679. He did not wash you. Come, Holy Spirit.

  680. Come, Holy Spirit. The world's side that's not

  681. going to want to move. Come on.

  682. Come on. Let him.

  683. Come. Come on.

  684. He's here. That's it.

  685. Just reach out. Touch him.

  686. My words are nothing. It's him.

  687. We got to reach out to Jesus. That's it.

  688. I want you to look at all these precious kids and all the young

  689. adults. We can't be apathetic anymore.

  690. We can't just do life. We can't just do church.

  691. It's for them, it's for our children, it's for our

  692. grandchildren, it's for this generation.

  693. We have to. Begin to pray, pray for these

  694. these young people, these young. Yeah, Come on, kids, pray it

  695. out. Come on.

  696. Pray it out kids, Come on. The.

  697. None. The.

  698. The. Come on, let your heart go.

  699. Don't miss this moment. Bart runs to Jesus.

  700. He doesn't care what anyone thinks.

  701. He was desperate. He didn't care what anyone

  702. thought. His heart, his heart, his heart

  703. wanted what Jesus had. And Jesus passed by.

  704. The. The.

  705. Shira. Masira.

  706. Magora, Shira. One man and Jericho changed that

  707. city and it was renamed fragrance because Jesus passed

  708. by and healed one. One man died this last couple

  709. weeks. One man in the whole world will

  710. never be the same again. There's a global move with the

  711. Holy Spirit going on now. It's now, it's now.

  712. Open up your heart. Let the glory come in.

  713. Open up your heart. Oh, Jesus, listen, some of you,

  714. man, there's a desperation in your heart.

  715. You need to throw. Throw it to the wind.

  716. It doesn't matter what anybody else thinks.

  717. You need to respond to the Lord this morning.

  718. Whatever God's doing in your heart, response.

  719. Some of you need to come to the altar, Some of you just need to

  720. kneel by your chair, whatever the Lord's leading you to do.

  721. But when the Lord comes near, you need to respond.

  722. Thank you, Lord. Thank you Lord Jesus.

  723. Some of you know that you're lukewarm.

  724. You know that your fires burned down.

  725. It's the the worries of this world, just the concerns.

  726. The busyness has choked out the word and you need to respond

  727. this morning to the Lord God's wanting to reignite your heart.

  728. You just need to acknowledge it before him.

  729. Thank you, Lord. Thank you Lord, oh Jesus.

  730. We are hungry for you, Lord, oh Lord.

  731. Visit us, God, Hallelujah, Lord. Hallelujah, Lord, oh Jesus.

  732. Those of you who are at the altar, stay, come on, cry out

  733. for him, cry out for him, Give your heart whole holy to him.

  734. But this morning, if you are college age, high school, let's

  735. say about 15, up to about 30 years, 31, he was 31, 15 to 31.

  736. I want you to stand right now because we want the fire of God

  737. to move on you. And as it moves on you, it's

  738. going to move on us. I need you to be full of fire

  739. because when you're full of fire, your whole city is full of

  740. fire. When you're on fire, your whole

  741. nation is on fire. Come on, come on, Begin to cry

  742. out over these. Cry out that God will use the

  743. children. God will use those, the high

  744. schoolers, the young adults, that they'll be full of fire.

  745. They won't be afraid, they won't be ashamed of the gospel of

  746. Christ, that they will be so desperate for you, Lord.

  747. They'll be a part of changing. They're going to be a part of

  748. changing the nation. Come on, everybody, pray over

  749. them. Come on, pray over them right

  750. now. Begin to pray in the spirit over

  751. these kids. Thank you.

  752. Jesus. Oh, shot.

  753. Actually, if you're that age, get up here right now.

  754. If you're that age, come up to the.

  755. Come up to the altar now. Come on quickly.

  756. Come to the halter. We want to Commission you.

  757. We want Charlie Kirk's all over. He's one man.

  758. You are many. You are many.

  759. You're not alone. 2 million people marching in London this

  760. past week. We know that our country needs

  761. these kids, needs the fire they have.

  762. So keep praying. Keep praying, Laura.

  763. All right, that's it. Get your hands up.

  764. Cry out to Jesus. Cry out to Jesus right now.

  765. Come on. If you're not on fire, ask the

  766. Lord to put a fire in you. Ask the Lord to put a fire in

  767. you right now. Come on.

  768. Fire of God. Fire of God right now.

  769. Fire, fire. Fire of God on these kids.

  770. Fire right now. Fire of God.

  771. Fire, fire, Fire of God. Right now.

  772. Fire, fire, fire, fire. Come on.

  773. Fire. If you've gone cold, ask God for

  774. the fire. Right now.

  775. The fire, the fire, fire, fire, fire, fire.

  776. My husband. Fire, fire, fire, fire, fire.

  777. Come on. Fire, fire.

  778. Right now. Fire.

  779. Fire of God. Fire of God.

  780. Fire, fire. Come on, buddy.

  781. Fire. Come on.

  782. God's got a plan for you, buddy. Oh, you're going to go with

  783. boldness and courage. You're going to help change a

  784. nation. Fire, fire.

  785. Fire of God. Come on.

  786. Keep asking. There we go.

  787. Come on. Fire.

  788. Fire. Right now.

  789. That's it. Right?

  790. Right now. Come on.

  791. Fire. Fire, fire, fire.

  792. Come on, girl. Come on.

  793. Fire, fire, fire, Fire. Right now.

  794. Fire. Fire of God.

  795. Fire of God. Fire.

  796. Fire of God. Fire, Fire, Fire.

  797. Right. Let it go.

  798. Let it go. Fire, fire.

  799. Fire. Fire, Fire of God.

  800. Fire. Oh, there it is.

  801. Fire, fire of God. Fire, fire right now.

  802. Fire, fire.
