Engaged believers shape history

Hi, this is Dave Olson. I'm the senior leader of
-
Heartland Church located in Ankeny, IA.
-
I hope the following message challenges, encourages and
-
ultimately changes you. Thanks for joining us.
-
Psalm 24, turn there to with me real quick.
-
Like I said, I was going to preach on something else, but
-
there's just some things in my heart bubbling up.
-
So I want to share just kind of a few things, some of some
-
things some of you have heard before, but I want to tie them
-
together for this morning because I really felt strongly
-
as I woke up this morning, the Lord speaking to me about this
-
whole thing in Venezuela and how God wants to intervene in these
-
things, but he needs the engagement of the Saints.
-
You know what, God doesn't just do his will.
-
He does his will through his people.
-
He engages them. That's why the famous John
-
Wesley, the Methodist, the founder of Methodism, it, that
-
was the revival movement of its day.
-
He was a powerhouse. And he's famous for saying God
-
does everything through prayer and nothing without it.
-
Do you believe that? I personally do that God, if
-
God's ever going to do anything in the earth, because he's
-
delegated the earth to man according to Psalm chapter 8, he
Psalms 8 chapter mention
-
will not violate the system he himself set up.
-
So he has to engage the human heart.
-
And so the principle of prayer is this divine intervention only
-
by human invitation. And so God is looking for people
-
that he's delegated the earth to, to invite his intervention.
-
He's looking to enlist people to pray.
-
And so we we see here in Psalm 24 years ago, I did a series on
-
this is probably 20 years ago. It was when the drummer back
-
here, my son was just a little guy and we were driving on the
-
way to church and he said, Dad, what you going to preach on this
-
morning? I said, I'm going to keep
-
preaching on Psalm 24. He said, are you serious?
-
He said, I could quote that whole thing.
-
Don't you think you're done? And I thought, what a thing for
-
a kid to say. And I said, no, you couldn't.
-
And he quoted the whole passage. I thought, I guess I'm done.
-
You know, if your kids can quote the whole chapter, then you're
-
done. But but that was a long time
-
ago, so we're going to take another run at it.
-
Psalm 24, verse one. Listen to what it says.
-
This is the Psalm of David and he he starts out with this.
-
The earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof.
-
So what God is doing is he is laying claim to planet earth.
-
He's saying it's mine, Venezuela is mine. the United States of
-
America is mine. God wants, but he's looking for
-
someone to agree with him and lay claim to it.
-
The the famous Dutch theologian, Oh man, his name escapes me, but
-
he's famous for saying this. There is not one inch of planet
-
earth to which Christ does not say mine.
-
And so verse 2 for the world and those who dwell in it.
-
Verse 2 for he has founded upon the seas and established it upon
-
the waters. So the Lord is laying claim,
-
said I created it, it's mine. Now here's the amazing thing.
-
Colossians chapter 1 shows He not only created it, He died for
Colossians 1 chapter mention
-
it to win it back to reconcile it to himself.
-
So it's twice his he created and he purchased it back.
-
Verse three, who shall ascend the hill of the Lord?
-
And it's at this point that David asks this question.
-
And there's one flow of context here.
-
God lays claim to the earth. And then David begins to ask who
-
can ascend the hill of the Lord? Who can stand at its holy place?
-
Brad and I were talking this morning and he was talking about
-
years ago. He woke up 1 morning and had
-
this vision and he heard, he heard himself saying, I was
-
there when Salem was, when Salem was reset.
-
Well, Salem, that was where Melchizedek ruled from Salem,
-
which eventually became Jerusalem.
-
And so it was the seat of the king, priest Melchizedek.
-
And Melchizedek was the first one that merged those two
-
offices in one. And David in this passage in
-
Psalm 24 is saying, who can ascend the hill of Lord?
-
Who can stand in his holy place? He's asking a question everybody
-
assumed they knew the answer to, but David was hungry enough to
-
say, I'm wondering if there's another way in.
-
I'm wondering if there's another route.
-
Surely the God I met on the backside of the desert wouldn't
-
keep me out. And so we asked this question.
-
And he breaks into Amen. He breaks into, they're getting
-
excited back there. He's breaks into this revelation
-
of the Melchizedek priesthood. And he gives the outline.
-
He said he who can ascend the hill, Lord, who can stand in
-
this holy place, He who has clean hands, a pure heart, does
-
not lift his soul to an idol or swear by what is false.
-
So he gives us the criteria of another priesthood, the
-
Levitical priesthood. You had to be born into the
-
Levitical line. The Melchizedek priesthood had
-
to do with the heart posture. And David discovered something.
-
And it's interesting because when David, David did priestly
-
duties as a king and God blessed him.
-
Saul did it, Hezekiah did it, and they got spanked.
-
Hezekiah ended up with leprosy. Saul had the Kingdom stripped
-
from him. But David was blessed by God
-
when he wore a linen ephod and he, he ate the showbread and he,
-
you know, David operated as a New Testament man under the Old
-
Testament. There's an interesting verse in
-
the New Testament that talks about those who reach in and
-
taste the powers of the age to come.
-
That's not just for you and I to reach into the powers of the
-
David did that as an old covenant man into the new
-
covenant and lived as a new covenant man.
-
It was the Melchizedek priesthood.
-
And so that's what David is talking about here.
-
And we need to understand that we're not just the priests of
-
God. We're not just go betweens.
-
We're not just those that represent God to the people and
-
then an intercession represent the people to God.
-
That is a valid expression of what we've been called into as
-
believers. We are a Kingdom of priests,
-
Peter said. So you and I, we all, we're all
-
priests. It's not like there's hired guns
-
up here and then the rest of you are spectators.
-
We're all participants, but we're not just participants in
-
individual salvation. We are participants on a global
-
scale. God is looking for those who
-
will engage themselves on this scale.
-
And so David asks this question and he says he was, you know,
-
verse 4, I just quoted it, verse 5, he will receive the blessing
-
of the Lord, and righteousness from God is salvation.
-
So he's talking about that individual.
-
And then he shifts gears and he begins to prophecy.
-
So David starts out praying, he begins to teach out of the
-
revelation he got, but then he begins to prophecy about the
-
future. So David is man.
-
He's he's doing it all here, praying, teaching, prophesying.
-
And he says this in verse six. Such is the generation of those
-
who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob.
-
Selah. He said, think about that.
-
He's saying that there's going to come a time where God not
-
only has individuals, he said He will receive the blessing, but
-
there's going to come a time where God's going to have a
-
corporate people that enter into corporate wholeheartedness.
-
There's going to be a generation of those who seek him and God
-
will release something to him. It is not a coincidence that the
-
very next verse shifts gears and talks about the king of glory
-
entering into regions. Look at what it says verse 7
-
lift up your heads, O gates be lifted up, O ancient doors that
-
the king of glory may come in. Now we sang about that earlier.
-
He and and we, we use that phrase the king of glory.
-
That is a very specific meaning to it.
-
It's not just a haphazard title that God slapped on himself.
-
He defines what it is. He said, who is this King of
-
glory? The Lord strong and mighty.
-
The Lord mighty in battle. So when the Lord speaks of
-
himself as the King of glory, it's all, it's another way of
-
saying the captain of the Lord's hosts.
-
It's the Lord entering into battle.
-
When the Lord enters in and he begins to move in power, He
-
comes to make war. That is the Lord of glory.
-
And so after David begins to prophecy about a coming day
-
where there will be a generation that enters into corporate
-
wholeheartedness, I'm telling you, don't minimize the power of
-
God finding a core group of people that are all in because
-
God can. God can move shape history
-
through a company of people like that.
-
And so David prophecies about this and the very next thing he
-
does, he begins to say, open up, you know, lift up your heads, O
-
you gates be lifted up, you ancient doors.
-
That is not mere poetry. These are entry points in the
-
spiritual realm where God is able to enter in in an invasion
-
and begin to operate there. It's throughout Scripture.
-
We see there's the windows of heaven spoken about in three
-
separate verses. There's doors in the spirit.
-
We talked about it a few months ago where John is in an
-
encounter and all of a sudden he said he heard a voice.
-
He looked up, there's an open door and it said come up here.
-
He went through it and now he's in heaven.
-
He's in this heavenly encounter. That wasn't just John's
-
imagination. There was a literal entry point
-
that John moved through. And then there are gates in the
-
spiritual realm. Jesus said the gates of hell
-
shall not prevail against the church.
-
Does he mean that we're going to literally storm hell and go into
-
the go into Hades and start moving things around?
-
No, he's not talking about hell as a location.
-
He's talking about Hell's occupation of the entry points
-
of our regions, and God is looking for those who come into
-
corporate wholeheartedness, understand not only their
-
priestly role, but their kingly role.
-
Not only that we are intercessors, but we're
-
intercessors with authority. We can press the crown rights of
-
King Jesus. And when God finds a people like
-
that, they can enter in and they begin to command the gates and
-
doors in the spiritual realm to begin to give way.
-
The hinges are greased by their proclamations and God begins to
-
invade and come in. And that's what he's talking
-
about. And we need to understand the
-
authority that we have as believers.
-
Again, we are not mere spectators of what is happening
-
on the global landscape. We are participants.
-
And God wants to enlist us. He wants us to have a part to
-
play in this thing and to dig in and begin to pray.
-
I told the first service that it's, you know, we talk a lot
-
about identity around here. It's important that you know who
-
you are as an individual. You can't walk in your calling
-
unless you own what God says about you.
-
To the degree that you are in agreement with what God says is
-
the degree you can fulfill your assignment.
-
And to the degree that you're in disagreement with your
-
assignment is to the degree that you will not fulfill your
-
assignment. You've got to own that thing.
-
But the, the, the, the, that truth is also a reality
-
corporately, that we need to know who we are corporately.
-
And I believe there are different callings on different
-
churches. You've heard me say it before.
-
There's no such thing as a one stop Jesus shop.
-
No one church can do it all. And that's why we bless the
-
churches in this region. I'm grateful for the other
-
houses that God has raised up that preach the word of God and
-
worship King Jesus. And they have their assignment.
-
We have ours. But we need to be crystal clear
-
about the assignment of this house.
-
I remember when we first moved into this property, we'd have
-
people wander in, people visiting from other churches.
-
I remember that. I'll never forget this Lutheran
-
guy came in, wandered in, sat down in the back.
-
He goes to a Lutheran Church here in the region.
-
And I walked in. He said, you know, this is a
-
governmental House of prayer, don't you?
-
You know, this is governmental. And people told me that.
-
And I'd say, oh, yeah, I knew that.
-
I mean, after I heard it umpteenth time, we need to own
-
that, that there is a governmental assignment on this
-
house to engage in prayer. So turn with me to one other
-
passage, Daniel chapter 2. Let's look at this passage.
Daniel 2 chapter mention
-
I want to just go back through an experience I had because I
-
believe it is relevant to the hour in which we live.
-
What is going on in Venezuela? What is going on in Ukraine?
-
How many Ukrainians we got? Raise your hand.
-
Yeah, look. Look at that.
-
Bless them, man. I don't think it's a coincidence
-
that you're in this church. It's it's not just it's not
-
because you like the music. This is God has drawn you to
-
this house because there is a partnership in the spirit with
-
the land of your birth. God is called and and that we
-
they they just keep finding us. Hallelujah.
-
Bring them more. We start a Ukrainian service.
-
We need that there's this partnership in the spirit
-
because there are what happens is there are the, the, the
-
spiritual realm, there are principalities and powers that
-
enter into agreements with corrupt world leaders and great
-
evil can begin to take root in those societies.
-
And it unleashes great harm on the human race and it fuels
-
greater evil. And we've seen this rise in
-
different places in the earth. And you and I are called to
-
intercede on those things. It's not a coincidence.
-
We're sending up team back down to Panama.
-
You know, one of the primary things they do when they go down
-
there, they do prayer watch, they do 24 hour prayer burns
-
because we understand that that is a crucial place in the earth.
-
The nation's come through that little inlet.
-
It's it is. And whoever controls Panama
-
controls the world. We want Jesus to control Panama.
-
We want the the king of kings, communist China, the CCP began
-
to encroach into Panama and try to take it over.
-
And that what they've done is they've bought their way in
-
through corruption into a lot of nations.
-
And that demonic communist ideology is flexing its muscles
-
trying to encroach. And God's answer is a praying
-
church to rise and to pray and to call that thing down.
-
I have nothing against Chinese people, Ukrainian people,
-
Venezuelan people, or American people, but I do have something
-
against the demonic spirits that operate through corrupt
-
governments. Human corruption at a
-
governmental level is the exact way that principalities exercise
-
their rule. And when when kings are removed,
-
those ties are severed and it's like the puppet strings are cut
-
and the puppeteer no longer has any influence over the puppet.
-
Which leads us to this passage. Daniel chapter 2.
Daniel 2 chapter mention
-
So we were praying. It was probably 6-7 years ago.
-
Now, some of you have heard this, but it's relevant to what
-
we're talking about. I want to go over this ground.
-
We were praying and, and it was, it would have been about six
-
years ago. And as we were praying one
-
morning, I was laying here and all of a sudden I went into a
-
vision. It might have been a dream.
-
I might have been asleep, I'm not sure.
-
But I went into this vision and I saw this leadership stain.
-
I knew it was a stain in the soil of Iowa.
-
I looked at it was this blot. It looked like an ink blot about
-
this big. And I knew it was a leadership
-
stain. And I knew immediately three
-
things. It was financial impropriety,
-
sexual immorality, and men and women prematurely leaving their
-
post out of discouragement. And I knew it was a strategy of
-
the enemy to remove people from their assignment, either through
-
disqualification or through discouragement.
-
So they would let go of the assignment.
-
They wouldn't fulfill what God had for them, and it would
-
frustrate the purposes of God. As I looked at that, I was
-
hovering over the ground of Iowa.
-
All of a sudden the Lord took me under Iowa, under the ground.
-
And I looked at this massive, this, this massive compass, but
-
it was tilted, it wasn't pointing north.
-
And as I was looking at that, all of a sudden, boom, I came
-
out of it and I thought, was that the Lord?
-
I called everybody forward and I told them what I saw.
-
And when I said that, someone said, oh, and they said, I can't
-
believe you're saying. And I said, what?
-
What's that? And they said, I woke up from a
-
dream this morning and we were in this prayer meeting in the
-
dream, praying over a map of Iowa.
-
And suddenly the map morphed into a compass, but the needle
-
couldn't find true north. So I'm not the brightest bulb in
-
the room, but I thought we might be on to something.
-
So we prayed and I asked Mike Scheer, one of our elders, I
-
said, Mike, would you close us in prayer today?
-
And I, I just explained it as a compass.
-
Mike begins to pray. And he said, and Lord, that gyro
-
compass, and I thought, how did he know?
-
Because that he, he was putting words to what I saw, but I
-
couldn't figure out what to call it.
-
But when he said it, I thought, you're right.
-
I thought, how did you know? And he's, you know, same way I
-
knew God showed him. But a gyrocompass is not,
-
doesn't operate by gravitational pull.
-
It operates by the rotation of the earth.
-
And I knew there was a timepiece component to this thing.
-
It it would, it was how we measure time is through the
-
rotation of the earth, but it was also going to measure true
-
north. And so the next day we're
-
praying into this and we're we're walk.
-
I'm walking down the aisle and as I'm walking, I'm I'm crying
-
out to God and I just out of my spirit came this phrase.
-
I know this is discouraging, but I couldn't have told you where
-
this verse was in the Bible. I don't know that's discouraging
-
to hear from your pastor, but I'm just being honest.
-
But I said, Lord, you changed the times and seasons.
-
It just came up out of my spirit and I was walking right there
-
and Joyce reached up, grabbed my sleeve and said, Pastor, look at
-
what the Lord just told me to turn to.
-
And it was this passage and listen to what it says.
-
Blessed is the name of God forever.
-
This is verse 20. Daniel answered and said,
-
blessed is the name of God forever and ever to whom belong
-
wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons.
-
He removes kings and sets up kings.
-
He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have
-
understanding. He reveals deep and hidden
-
things. He knows what is in darkness,
-
and the light dwells with him. To you, O God, my God of my
-
Father's, I give thanks and praise for you.
-
I've given me wisdom and might, and we have now made, and you
-
have now made known to me what you have asked of me.
-
For you made known to us the King's matter.
-
So this is Daniel's prayer. He quotes that exact line that
-
came out of my spirit. It was Daniel's prayer about
-
Nebuchadnezzar's dream because Nebuchadnezzar had a dream.
-
He wasn't going to tell anybody. He said, either tell me what the
-
dream meant and what it was, or you're a dead man.
-
And Daniel goes to the Lord and the Lord gives it to him.
-
And so Daniel's ministry is now off and running.
-
And Daniel lived his life as a geopolitical prophet.
-
You know that he was a man who spoke into kingdoms.
-
He spoke into geopolitical affairs as a prophetic voice.
-
He shepherded Nebuchadnezzar, the most powerful man on earth,
-
and two other regimes. And not only that, he also
-
prophesied about the rising and falling of nations in the
-
future. Don't ever let anybody tell you
-
that God is not interested in geopolitical affairs.
-
Don't ever let someone tell you that God is not interested in
-
political issues or governmental affairs.
-
I'll hear people quote this all the time, men that I deeply
-
respect. What if I said his name?
-
You would meant most of you would know him.
-
He's been in our pulpit and I still can't believe he says
-
this. I've heard him say that God
-
doesn't. God doesn't care who's in in the
-
White House or who's who's a king or who's.
-
What does he do with this verse? God sets up kings and removes
-
him. And the verse he always quotes
-
is where Jesus stood before Pilate.
-
And he said my Kingdom is not of this world.
-
Jesus was not saying that his Kingdom didn't have anything to
-
do with this world. The meaning of Kingdom Basilia
-
means the right to rule. And he said I'm not deriving my
-
right to rule from earth. I received it from heaven and
-
I've come to impose it on earth. And the fact is, the reason you
-
and I are here is because we're here to impose the crown rights
-
of King Jesus on human history. And that and the often the way
-
that that manifests itself is through political affairs.
-
So you and I need to understand how this thing works.
-
And we need to engage yourself and we need to be in the place
-
of prayer and we need to be praying God's will.
-
And God wants to speak to us just like he did Daniel.
-
He said he gave me wisdom and might.
-
That wisdom was insight to discern the will of the Lord and
-
begin to to release those things to kings.
-
But that word might is also an interesting word.
-
That word might means you've get, you've been given
-
influence. It's it's influence to power.
-
And Daniel understood that God gave him influence with
-
political figures, these geopolitical rulers.
-
And that was that was Daniel's ministry.
-
He was speaking to these political powers.
-
Now, why do I bring that up this morning?
-
Because I woke up this morning intending to preach on something
-
entirely different and the Lord began to speak to me about
-
Venezuela. And I'm telling you, there is a
-
governmental assignment on this house to pray God's will into
-
those matters. Let me tell you about one more
-
thing. And, and some of you have heard
-
this, but again, all of this is related.
-
It was probably 9-10 years ago now.
-
I don't know. I should have wrote it down, but
-
we were. It was when we were having our
-
prayer meetings upstairs and prayer had gotten real thin.
-
We weren't praying Tuesday through Friday.
-
It was Tuesday and Thursday and we might have only been down to
-
Thursday. And it was Quimby and I.
-
Many of you remember Pastor Quimby and a few ladies, and I
-
used to tease the ladies. Thanks for letting me come to
-
the women's prayer meeting. It wasn't intended to be a
-
women's prayer meeting. It was just the only one showing
-
up. Thank God we got men coming to
-
the prayer meetings now and as we're praying, it was one of
-
those especially dry prayer meetings.
-
You ever been to a dry prayer meeting?
-
I've LED a bunch. Here's the good news.
-
God answers dry, unannointed prayer.
-
You know that it doesn't matter what you feel.
-
God honors faithfulness. And we were there every week
-
praying and we got done. And I was, I, for one, the one
-
leading the prayer meeting was really, really glad it was over.
-
I didn't tell people that I'm telling you years later, but I
-
was like, OK, everybody come forward.
-
And I was going to just close it.
-
And as I called everybody forward, I looked over to my
-
side and I was stunned because there were two angels standing
-
right there. Now, I didn't see him with my
-
physical eyes, but I saw it as clear as day with my spiritual
-
eyes. And I can't explain that.
-
If you've seen that, you know what I mean.
-
If you haven't, I don't know how to explain it.
-
I'm just telling you. I saw it as clear as day.
-
And what what intrigued me is there was 1 standing about where
-
that pole was. And he was standing there
-
looking at me. And this is what he looked like.
-
And, and you can weigh this. You may not believe me, but
-
we'll meet him. I'll introduce you to him when
-
we get to heaven, OK? And I'll tell you, I told you.
-
Here he is. He had on a tweed Sport coat.
-
He was a little guy, a tweed Sport coat.
-
His head was bald. He had hair along the sides of
-
his head, and he had spectacles. I mean, they weren't just
-
glasses. They were spectacles.
-
They were the kind that you'd refer to as spectacles.
-
And he was standing there. He had this huge leather volume.
-
It was about this thick, about this big.
-
He was just standing there like this, his tweed Sport coat on.
-
And he had a little pointer stick that they used to teach
-
with. And he was just staring at me,
-
just standing there like he's just waiting for me to
-
acknowledge him. And over his left shoulder was
-
another Angel. And to be honest, I don't, I
-
can't explain how he was dressed because I was so intrigued by
-
this one. And I thought, what in the
-
world? And the Lord spoke to me and
-
said, they are professors and I'm about to take you into
-
semesters of learning. And I thought, uh oh, because
-
what I felt like is man, I'm, I'm a busy dad with a bunch of
-
kids and a, and a full time job. And now I'm going to night
-
school. What I didn't understand it was
-
going to be morning school, those prayer meetings.
-
And the Lord spoke to me and this the Angel that was the most
-
prominent 1 standing there with his little pointer stick.
-
He was from the school of government in heaven.
-
Now you say, do they really have one?
-
They do, you'll see. And, and the other one was from
-
the War College of Heaven and the Lord said, I'm going to take
-
you into semesters of learning. And I asked the Lord, I thought,
-
God, why, why is he bald and have glasses?
-
You know, I have glasses. I've worn them since 5th grade.
-
I'm, I can't see what that I thought.
-
That's kind of, I always thought of that as kind of the result of
-
the fall. You know, when I get to heaven,
-
I don't need glasses. And I said, Lord, why would he
-
need glasses? And the Lord said they allow
-
him, they enable him to see things that others don't see.
-
And of course I thought of that. You ever seen National Treasure
-
where Nicolas Cage has those glasses and he sees different
-
things in the maps? That's what they were.
-
They they were, he could see different things with those
-
glasses. And he was going to teach us how
-
to govern with God. And it wasn't a coincidence that
-
that Angel was to the forefront and not the war Angel.
-
And what it immediately reminded me of was a number of years
-
before that I began to hear the Lord say to me in the spring of
-
the year, give me 3 months in July.
-
Give me 3 months in July. I'm being very transparent
-
because once again I thought, uh oh, because three weeks in July,
-
not three months, three weeks in July.
-
And I knew that meant 21 day fast.
-
So I gathered some intercessions and said, would you do a fast
-
with me in July? And let me tell you, it's almost
-
better to do it in July because it's when you get fast, it's
-
cold in January. This is brutal.
-
But anyway, I digress. I don't remember anything about
-
that fast except I was walking through the living room and on
-
the TV somebody had this show on.
-
I don't know, I'm assuming it was The History Channel.
-
And I was walking through, I heard the narrator say Genghis
-
Khan conquered more territory than any other man, whoever
-
lived. And then it added, But upon his
-
death, his empire evaporated because he was a great general
-
but a poor governor. And when it said that, it was
-
like an arrow came out of the TV, hit me in the heart.
-
And I knew that's the church. And the Lord spoke to me and he
-
said I have many wandering intercessors and homeless
-
revivalists who have great stories of great battles won,
-
but nothing to leave their children because we've we've
-
learned as a church, as the people of God, how to go to war
-
and win land, but not steward it once we have it.
-
And so the Lord was saying, I'm going to teach you to govern
-
with me. I believe we're still in that
-
process, but I believe we've learned a lot in these prayer
-
meetings on how to partner with heaven and speak in and pray
-
into these matters. There we were.
-
We were praying very specifically for Venezuela last
-
week, crying out to God because just praying that God's will be
-
done. And you may or may not agree
-
with the measures. I'm just telling you that God
-
wanted that man out. And God will use the the measure
-
that you can argue about. You know, I'm not going to arm
-
wrestling. I'm just telling you God wanted
-
that man out because there was tremendous suffering in that
-
nation. And God wants to liberate that
-
nation and make it a shining example of Latin America once
-
again. And you and I are not simply
-
spectators that read the news and oh, wow, isn't that amazing?
-
Look what? Look, What's that?
-
Oh, that's tragic. Oh, that's good.
-
No, you and I are participants. We are the ones that are to
-
shape history through declarations.
-
We're to catch the word of the Lord and enforce the word of the
-
Lord on these matters. And that's part of the calling
-
on this house. That's part of the worship
-
dynamic of this house. That's why we have so many
-
prayer meetings and that's why we fast.
-
I want to encourage you this starting tomorrow morning, we're
-
going to enter into the fast. Do something.
-
Let's engage ourselves. Let's be those people that we
-
say, Lord, you have found a corporate, a people of corporate
-
wholeheartedness that you can leverage us.
-
Lord, you can use us to pray your purposes in the earth.
-
God wants to shape history from the height of a bended knee.
-
He wants to begin to push his crown rights and shape things.
-
And what the Lord wants to do is just what he did with Daniel.
-
Daniel is assigned to us. Daniel would catch the word of
-
the Lord and release the word of the Lord.
-
And through that he would raise up kings and he would remove
-
them. And God is still doing the same
-
thing. Now let me just say this and go
-
ahead and stance you and I'm going to quit.
-
In chapter 2 it says that God changes the times and the
-
seasons. In Chapter 7 it says the enemy
-
manipulates the the times. The enemy has his plan and the
-
way the enemy does it is through.
-
Just what I saw in that vision. It's either men seizing Thrones
-
and staying too long, or being brought to a throne outside of
-
God's will, or people abandoning their assignment.
-
And prayer is part of God's dynamic to keep the right people
-
in power. Again, principalities and powers
-
operate through corrupt human authority.
-
And if we want to see history changed, those powers must be
-
severed from those alliances with corrupt leaders in the
-
earth. And God has called us as a
-
house, as a people called Heartland Church to engage in
-
that and pray God's will to hear the word of the Lord and pray
-
it. So I want to ask you to just
-
raise your hands. I want to pray over you right
-
now. Father, Lord, I thank you for
-
each and every one of these. Lord, I thank you for those
-
you've already stirred, Lord, those that have already been
-
stirred by your heart to pray. Lord, we ask, just as you gave
-
Daniel wisdom, and might we ask you first give us wisdom, Lord,
-
Give us greater understandings of the spiritual dynamics,
-
Lords, that we can cooperate with you.
-
Lord, we're asking that you would use us, teach us about
-
these matters. Lord, there's a in that passage,
-
Daniel says he gives understand knowledge to those who have
-
understanding what it means that understand that word in the
-
Hebrew means that they've they've gathered, they've
-
gathered principles, they they've learned to understand
-
these things. And then God will add knowledge
-
to that. If you apply yourself to what
-
he's already given you. I'll give you more is what it's
-
saying. And then, Lord, we ask for
-
might, Lord, that you would give us influence in the spirit and
-
in the natural, God that we could speak truth to power.
-
Lord, I ask that out of this very room that you would raise
-
up voices that would have the ear of powerful men and women.
-
Lord, that you would shape history through our words.
-
Lord, teach us to rule and reign with you.
-
Lord, deliver us from the fallacy, the lie that we have to
-
wait for eternity to rule and reign with you and help us to
-
understand. That's our assignment now in
-
intercession in Jesus name, Amen.
-
Amen. All right, God bless you.
