  1. Welcome to the Cross Power Church podcast.

  2. You're listening to a service from our church in Campbell, TX.

  3. We pray this message strengthens your faith and points you to the

  4. cross. Now let's join the service.

  5. How your Bibles this morning? Let's stand in the reading of

  6. the Word of God and second Peter.

  7. Second Peter setting a scripture.

  8. See first Peter. It dealt with problems from the

  9. outside. You know, we're good sometimes

  10. at dealing with problems from the outside, but second Peter

  11. deals with. Problems from the inside.

  12. Peter is warning believers here against false teachers and and

  13. trying to that are trying to peddle damaged doctoring and

  14. doctoring that has been twisted but he he begins this was

  15. telling us to keep a close watch.

  16. On our personal life. A close watch if you haven't

  17. noticed in life, your personal life will affect you and people

  18. around you. But God began to deal with me

  19. about this message several months ago.

  20. When I I. Titled it Side Effects.

  21. Anybody ever had a side effect? Side effects are everywhere

  22. today but in Second Peter chapter 1.

    2 Peter 1 chapter mention

  23. I'm going to begin. Reading here in verse 2 and it

  24. says grace and peace be multiplied.

  25. I like. That not added.

  26. Grace and peace. We need our grace and we need

  27. our peace multiplied today as never before.

  28. We serve a God of multiplication.

  29. He don't just add to, He multiplies.

  30. Grace and peace be multiplied to you and the knowledge of God and

  31. of Jesus. Our Lord as His.

  32. Divine power has given to us all things.

  33. Well, that's powerful. His divine power has given to us

  34. all things, not church doctrine. His divine power has given to us

  35. all things that pertain to life and godliness.

  36. When we look around, we see people looking for things that

  37. God can supply, but many times it doesn't pertain to life and

  38. it doesn't pertain to godliness. It pertains to the next quick

  39. fix of the problem, the next blessing.

  40. He says, I can give you all things that pertain to life and

  41. godliness. How?

  42. Through the knowledge of Him. You got to receive it through

  43. the knowledge of Him. Who called us by glory and

  44. virtue? Isn't that cool?

  45. You know what virtue. Means right there a.

  46. High moral standard it means glory and living right.

  47. We could say right there by which we have been get and

  48. here's why it's important verse 4 by which we have been given to

  49. given to us exceedingly great and precious.

  50. Promises that through. These you may be partakers.

  51. Of the divine nature. So if you had got glory and

  52. virtue, you can partake of the divine nature of Christ, Peter

  53. was saying here, having escaped the corruption that's in the

  54. world through lust. Verse. 5 But also for this very

  55. reason, giving all diligence. Be diligent in your walk, he

  56. says. Be diligent in your walk.

  57. Add to your faith, virtue. Don't just believe, believe what

  58. you believe. Add some holiness, add some

  59. virtue, and the virtue comes knowledge, and to knowledge

  60. comes self-control. See how these work together and

  61. that we need self-control and the self-control, perseverance

  62. and the perseverance godliness. To godliness there will come

  63. brotherly. Kindness and the brotherly.

  64. Kindness. Love.

  65. For if these things, why is it important?

  66. Peter goes on to tell. If these things are yours?

  67. I asked you this morning, Are these things yours?

  68. Do they abound in your life? He said.

  69. Because if they do, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in

  70. the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  71. There's many Christians that are barren and unfruitful today

  72. because they haven't took on the virtue and the knowledge of

  73. Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is

  74. short sighted. You can't see a head.

  75. You may know about God, but you you're not going to see a head.

  76. You're only going to see the here and now.

  77. You're going to be short sighted.

  78. You're going to be like I am trying to see your face through

  79. these threes this morning. You're short sighted.

  80. Even the blindness, you may not even see it all.

  81. Anybody know anybody like that and has forgotten?

  82. See, when you can't see, you forgot that you was cleansed

  83. from your old sins. Therefore, brother, and be even

  84. more diligent to make your call and election Sure.

  85. Know where you're headed. Know what you're doing.

  86. For if you do these things, well, it's right here.

  87. I see a bunch of Christians walking around looking for a

  88. stumbling block. If you do these things, you'll

  89. never stumble. I didn't say it.

  90. Peter did. And Peter had stumbled, right?

  91. But he might. He can probably go back and say,

  92. hey, I wasn't doing these things when I stumble.

  93. But I learned that there's no good in the stumbling.

  94. So now I'm not going to stumble around anymore.

  95. I'm going to put the knowledge 1st.

  96. I'm going to put the virtue first in my life and quit

  97. worrying about the things of this world.

  98. And I'm not going to stumble anymore.

  99. And look what's cool. About that when you don't

  100. stumble, it says so an entrance will be supplied to you

  101. abundantly into the everlasting. Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ

  102. Father. We thank you for.

  103. Your word this morning. Thank you that your word's.

  104. True, it's real, it's life, it's sharper than A2 edged sword, but

  105. I. Pray today, Father you.

  106. Would just help us to realize that in this life we will have

  107. side effects, we will have things that affect us inside and

  108. out and all around if we don't take the knowledge of the word

  109. of God and apply it to our life and and.

  110. Add to our faith. Virtue and patience and love and

  111. kindness. Father, I pray today you just

  112. get it into our. Heart and our soul and our mind,

  113. in Jesus name, Amen. There was a man named Isaac

  114. Newton. He was far before our time.

  115. He lived from 1643 to 1720. 7 Some of you are almost there,

  116. but not. Quite.

  117. He came up with some pretty neat things.

  118. You couldn't Google it. You had to try it out.

  119. Then you had to use objects. You had to use things, but he

  120. came up with some laws. I believe there were three of

  121. them. Not going to touch on them all,

  122. but he came up with what was called laws of motion.

  123. Laws of motion. Christians need some motion

  124. today. Not just emotion, but motion.

  125. You know, you can have emotion and never go anywhere and do

  126. anything. You can just be an emotional

  127. being that's all torn up from the floor up, that's always cry,

  128. that's always snotting, that's always letting things.

  129. We can be emotional and not be effective, right?

  130. I'm talking about motion moving. But Newton said this, he he came

  131. up with this with these things and he tried them out.

  132. But it was called the laws of motion, which relate an object's

  133. motion to the forces that act upon it.

  134. I related this to spiritual things today.

  135. Can I say that again, we relate an object's motion, how it's

  136. moving to forces that act upon it in the first law?

  137. An object, he said, will not change its motion unless a force

  138. acts upon it. You know, there's many people in

  139. the body of Christ, many Christians, including you.

  140. You would have never changed your motion, your direction, had

  141. God not have acted something upon you.

  142. Sometimes it's an old heavy trial.

  143. Sometimes it's a loss of a loved one.

  144. Sometimes it could be a divorce, it could be financial calamity.

  145. It could be so many things. But yet God can be working in it

  146. because had He not ever acted upon the motion that you were

  147. in, many wouldn't be alive today.

  148. Can I get a witness Are still headed for a devil's hell.

  149. So see, in his first law, an object will not change its

  150. motion unless a force acts upon it.

  151. In the second law, the force on an object is equal to the mass

  152. times the acceleration. You educated people can go

  153. figure that out. I'm not explaining it, but many

  154. people, God's children and those that have never been born again,

  155. they fall under Newtons first law.

  156. I'm going to read it again. And object will not change its

  157. motion unless a force acts upon it.

  158. Sometimes God's moves upon us in ways that we do not understand.

  159. Can I get a witness? We don't understand the trial.

  160. We don't know. But we have to trust that God

  161. does, and He's moving up on us, right?

  162. We did not. Jesus didn't understand the

  163. cross and the outside circumstances that surrounded

  164. the cross, but inside it was working a far it far heavier,

  165. eternal weight of glory. But an object will not change

  166. its motion unless a force. Acts upon it what?

  167. Is God trying to tell us? Today.

  168. Don't get down in your maybe in 25 there were some side effects

  169. that came your way from the trial that you went into.

  170. We're about to turn the page. I love turning the pages to a

  171. new year. I don't look back at what

  172. happened there because this is a new year.

  173. If I keep looking back, the enemies coming with something

  174. new to attack me with that I got to be aware of.

  175. But see many will leave 25 and enter into 26, never looking for

  176. change, never expecting anything to happen.

  177. Come on, stay with me this morning.

  178. Their motion, the way they live, the way they move, the way they

  179. react to certain situations never changes.

  180. We can't react to situations the same way and expect a different

  181. outcome. As Newton states, a body remains

  182. at rest, are in motion at a constant speed in a straight

  183. line unless it's acted upon. As this will be the last sermon

  184. that many here in 25, I begin to look back and think about.

  185. So many people that I knew that come through.

  186. The doors of the. Church that I don't.

  187. See anymore that were in motion for the Kingdom, they got moving

  188. a little bit. Come on somebody they seen God

  189. move in their life and maybe move in their situation a little

  190. bit and they got their faith kind of stirring.

  191. But something called Satan, which is a roaring lie.

  192. He began to roar. They begin to hear the roar and

  193. with the roar came the force that hit them right?

  194. It hit them when the force of the roaring lion hits you, and

  195. it will anybody got hit this year.

  196. When the enemy hits you, there will be side effects.

  197. Physically, spiritually, financially, mentally,

  198. emotionally, the list goes on. And on.

  199. But see side effects amaze me I I heard this little commercial.

  200. Talking about side effects, that's where I got this message.

  201. It amaze. Me at all the side effects the

  202. enemy has. I mean, the side effects of sin

  203. are everywhere, everywhere, everywhere.

  204. People talk, you know, a lot of. People say, well, if it wasn't

  205. for my. Wife I could live for God, the

  206. one for my. Husband.

  207. I could live for God, someone warned you.

  208. About that side effect. Hello, I don't know about y'all.

  209. But I checked my wife out before I.

  210. Married her. Hey man, she was a deep water

  211. Baptist. I could worship in a deep water

  212. Baptist Church. I like to cut it loose a little

  213. bit. Hey, man, I said.

  214. We can get married, but we're going over here, right?

  215. That stuff's important, right? Very important.

  216. We see the side effects of sin. They're everywhere.

  217. Like the little boy he got asked one.

  218. Time, he said. They, he had been to a wedding

  219. and he attended this wedding and and they, he heard the preacher

  220. up there preaching. Evidently he was listening

  221. because later on in class they had a discussion.

  222. A few months later they said how many times can people get

  223. married? He said that's easy.

  224. He just said. What do you mean?

  225. It's easy? It's a law, He said.

  226. No, it's 16. He said 16 times.

  227. He said. Yeah, he said he says it right

  228. there. For richer or poorer, for better

  229. or worse, for sickness and in health, it's 16 times.

  230. Some people took that to heart. You don't believe their side

  231. effects of sin? Go to the Metroplex.

  232. Look under the bridges. Look at the side.

  233. Effects of sin. Look at the rehabs, look at the

  234. rehabs, look at the divorce rates in America, look at the

  235. homeless and and many when we look at these situations,

  236. they've they've gotten so down so far, so low that unless.

  237. God Almighty and they. Get a hold of the knowledge and

  238. the truth of God. There's no way out for many

  239. other than. That hit.

  240. By the side effects. Of a decision anybody ever hit.

  241. Been hit by the side? Effects of a decision, the side

  242. effects of sin are everywhere we look at it, you know.

  243. It amazes me but. Sin is like medicine.

  244. The enemy convinces people that they can't.

  245. Live without it. I'm not sure our doctors are

  246. doing the same thing today. I came by to tell you in John 10

  247. and 10 that the thief comes to kill, steal and destroy.

  248. But Jesus. Came that we might have life and

  249. have it more. Abundantly.

  250. Let's look at this. Word side effects.

  251. I like the definition, Webster says.

  252. It's a secondary, typically undesirable effect, a secondary.

  253. So it tells me a side effect is not really how I'm supposed to

  254. feel, right? It's a side effect of what I

  255. have done or what I have ingested into my body or even

  256. what I have put in my mind and I believe can cause a side effect,

  257. right? But yet all across America, as I

  258. said, we are sheep. And as I said, sheep are dumb,

  259. right? They need a shepherd.

  260. They don't know, come here from Sikkim, they just wander around.

  261. But yet we don't worry about the side.

  262. Effects It's a. Secondary typical undesirable

  263. effect. And this.

  264. Says of a drug or a medical treatment.

  265. It's a secondary effect but wait a minute, Jesus said I can have

  266. life more abundantly, but I don't like the secondary effect.

  267. Many people do evidently because see a secondary effect can

  268. become a way that I'm not created.

  269. Therefore, I am walking around in a body and I'm a person that

  270. God did He created me, but my actions.

  271. Due to the side. Effects are not of God.

  272. We're not created in the image of a secondary effect.

  273. We were. Created in the not created to

  274. live. On the side effects.

  275. But many people do. In Matthew 4, three and four

  276. Jesus said when tempted by Satan, he said man cannot live

  277. by bread alone. Can I tell you today man is

  278. still trying to live on bread alone instead of every word that

  279. proceeds out of the mouth of God?

  280. Jesus said it cannot happen. Why?

  281. Because you were created in the. Image of El Shaddai.

  282. They want a true God, the Almighty God.

  283. So side effects are a secondary condition to the child of God.

  284. And yes, sin causes. Them.

  285. So many live under. That rule.

  286. So many lives. Ruined.

  287. Think about it. I'm going to.

  288. Preach it this morning. I'm not a preacher that's afraid

  289. to tell you that. Drugs and alcohol.

  290. Have side effects? Amen.

  291. If you're an addict this morning.

  292. You have side effects. See, seeing all this stuff sit

  293. from Satan is is nothing unless I'm just it unless I and take it

  294. he can attack me tomorrow and you know.

  295. What it? Absolutely means it means.

  296. Nothing. Unless I begin to chew upon it,

  297. unless I begin to pull it down and put it in my mind and begin

  298. to accept what Satan said, that's a lie, because he's the

  299. author of confusion and I begin to put it in my mind.

  300. And if I and I stir it around in my mind.

  301. Enough it gets here. It becomes a side effect.

  302. It becomes a secondary condition of who I am created to be all

  303. this. Stuff is sent from Satan.

  304. And it cannot affect me, but when I take it in then I.

  305. Become a side effect. See.

  306. The label's worn. Anybody here?

  307. My God doctor's going to give me something one day and he told me

  308. all this, he said cause a rash. I said I don't want a rash.

  309. You go to the doctor. Well, I got this rash.

  310. Take this, but it might cause a rash.

  311. I've already got a rash. It causes anxiety man.

  312. I'll meet up with. Anxiety.

  313. I don't need no more anxiety, the doctor says.

  314. I know what bud. It it might cause.

  315. And then you know that they get, there's so many side effects of.

  316. Everything you know but me and my wife.

  317. Have had this conversation. Though the doctor gave.

  318. It to you said. Take it that don't mean I got to

  319. take it. If it don't work, I ain't taking

  320. it. If my head's hurting and I take

  321. some, it helps my head lookout, I might take it again.

  322. So when they say take this and it's going to change that and I

  323. wake up in the morning and it didn't change, I'm done.

  324. I don't care what the prescription was, I'll try it.

  325. I'm not against doctors, but I am against taking it if it don't

  326. work and I am against taking it if the side effects are worse

  327. than what I got. Hey man, just because the man

  328. told me to take it, I don't need anxiety, digestive woes, easing

  329. his headaches, drowsies, dry mouth, sleepless hallucinations,

  330. heart problems, jaundice, rash, itching, watering eyes, unwanted

  331. bowel movements, stomach problems, even suicidal

  332. thoughts. They say it's a fact.

  333. They just go on and on and you know what they're talking about.

  334. A side effect. A side effect.

  335. If it don't work, don't take it. Doctors don't know.

  336. Everything that's in this body. But yet people take them by the.

  337. Cupfuls. Why?

  338. Because the doctor said I understand some things do help.

  339. I'm not against that, but it better work.

  340. Or I don't need it in my body? Here's what.

  341. I'm saying this morning, all these side effects.

  342. So many are willing. To deal with the side effect.

  343. Hoping. That there might be a change.

  344. Hello. There's a lot of.

  345. Christians go to church hoping. And trying church that there

  346. might be a change. But see, God doesn't work that

  347. way. See, the change is up to you.

  348. Somebody grab their ear. And say that God's not.

  349. Setting up and. God will not come down and

  350. change you. Hey man, you can cry till till

  351. Jesus comes and God's not. Just going to come.

  352. Down here and change you, but He's giving you His written word

  353. and when you begin to open the pages and let God speak to you,

  354. His word is A2 edged sword that will change your life.

  355. And then you begin to commune with Him a little bit every day,

  356. and He begins to drop the anointing of the Holy Ghost upon

  357. you. And it begins to make you feel

  358. different on the inside. And you realize that trial, that

  359. temptation that I just went through, I couldn't do that

  360. before, but now I can. And God begins to give you some

  361. of his side effects, right? Think about the first shot of

  362. whiskey and alcohol that. Become a side effect that lasted

  363. the rest of the life caused them to.

  364. Get in a car. And drive and kill some innocent

  365. person and end up in prison. That is a side effect.

  366. That is a side effect. Causes many to beat their

  367. spouse, to beat their children, their kids and and and all these

  368. things they have warning labels all.

  369. Over them, but yet we're just not scared of the side effects.

  370. We're willing. To take the side effect for a

  371. moment of pleasure. Come on, preach with me.

  372. Then it ends up something that you have to have more than love.

  373. See, there's an important thing about love in your life because

  374. God is love. He may come in the form of a

  375. person. He may come that way.

  376. But we have to have it. They have to have it more than.

  377. Food. They have to have it more than a

  378. roof over there. What am I talking about?

  379. A side effect. And then what affected them on

  380. the inside now is affecting them on the outside.

  381. And not only them, but it's affecting their children and

  382. their children's children. Side effects are.

  383. Very real. When we have to have it more

  384. than the things of God, we look at adultery and fornication.

  385. Let's go to 1st Corinthians chapter 6.

  386. Not a lot of people. Like to lead this to live this

  387. today and read it. Why?

  388. Because we've come really bad at getting.

  389. It in the church First Corinthians 6 and verse 9 I

  390. want. You to go.

  391. Home Read the rest of this it says do you not?

  392. Know that the. Unrighteous.

  393. You know there's. A lot of people don't know this.

  394. I hear a lot of. Preachers that don't know this.

  395. If they do, they ain't preaching.

  396. It. Do you not know that the

  397. unrighteous. Will not inherit the Kingdom of

  398. God. Is that not powerful?

  399. So what does? That tell me.

  400. I got to be righteous. Do not be deceived, neither

  401. fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals.

  402. Does the Bible really say that? Nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor

  403. covenants, nor drunkards. Nor revilers nor extortioners

  404. will inherit the Kingdom of God. And I like what he does right

  405. here. But such you were, some of you.

  406. But you were washed. But you were sanctified.

  407. But you were. Justified in the name of the.

  408. Lord Jesus Christ, so you got a hold of Jesus.

  409. And it was a side effect. Hey man, his side.

  410. Effects are never bad, but see, we were washed in the blood.

  411. We've all, we've all been guilty of those.

  412. Things, but that's not us anymore, right?

  413. Yet so. Many never really think.

  414. About the side effect, until they hit, until they hit.

  415. I have a good illustration of a boat.

  416. Anybody ever been fishing with a boat in the water and you're out

  417. in the middle of the lake and you can't see the seashore and

  418. you anchor down, the fish are biting and you're going to fish

  419. right there? And I was doing that one day and

  420. not paying any attention. But the rope and the anchor that

  421. I had stuck down in the water had somehow come loose.

  422. And I looked up and I didn't begin to recognize anything that

  423. I saw. I had drifted so about a mile

  424. and didn't even know it. See, the enemy's good at that

  425. when you begin to get. Away from God.

  426. It's not just a fast, it's a slow.

  427. It's a little bitty slow drift that you don't even recognize.

  428. Many times, don't even recognize it, don't even recognize it.

  429. And we're farther. And we're farther.

  430. It's a slow drift, Hebrews. 10 and 23 talks about talks about

  431. this Hebrews 10. Go home and read the rest of

  432. that too. It's really good, especially

  433. over 26. It'll change your life.

  434. But in Hebrews 10 and 23. It says let us hold fast the

  435. confession of our hope without wavering.

  436. For he who promises say that with me is faithful.

  437. So what I got to do I to get the side effects of Christ.

  438. I got to hold fast to the confession that I'm born again

  439. to the hope that I have an eternal home in heaven without

  440. wavering because He promised and He's faithful and let us

  441. consider one another in order to stir up the love and the good

  442. works. Not forsaking.

  443. You know that people say, well, the Bible says you don't say you

  444. got to go to church. Sure it does right here.

  445. It says not forsaking the assembling of yourselves

  446. together, together. You know, every time in my life

  447. I've found when I didn't want to go to church, there was

  448. something bad wrong within me. It wasn't the church, it was me.

  449. But I found when I was in tune with God and when I was doing

  450. what I was supposed to do, there's something in me.

  451. Want to run to the church? Hey, man.

  452. To. Stir up the love to stir up the

  453. good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves

  454. together, as in the matter of some, but exhorting one another.

  455. And he even said this and. So much more as we.

  456. See the day approaching. I see the day.

  457. Approaching. You having trouble?

  458. Doing these things, go home and read Hebrews 10/26.

  459. I can quote it. You need to be.

  460. Able to quote it too, because it's very.

  461. Powerful. But side effects are.

  462. Real. It's a secondary undesirable

  463. effect. You can't live there as a child.

  464. Of God get. Up in 26, get up and get out.

  465. Yet people for years. Live in a secondary state.

  466. It will kill you, it will cause you.

  467. It will cause so many things to happen in your life.

  468. Just keep going for God. Why not?

  469. Have God's side effects. There's some great side effects

  470. of the cross. And they never fade away.

  471. Galatians 522 and 23. It says but the fruit of the

  472. Spirit is Lovejoy, peace, long-suffering, kindness,

  473. goodness, faithfulness, self-control.

  474. Just think, if we had self-control it'd take us around

  475. so many obstacles in our life if we could control self against

  476. such thing. There is no law.

  477. And the side effects of these things will please.

  478. Your heavenly Father, that's the cool thing.

  479. When God's pleased. With you, it opens up some great

  480. doors for you and ultimately it will land you in heaven.

  481. Verse 20. Four, it says, those who are

  482. Christ. Have crucified the flesh with

  483. its passions and it desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us

  484. also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceit,

  485. provoking one another. See Jacob.

  486. When I think of. Him.

  487. What did he do? He had a side effect.

  488. Jacob was a slindler, a liar at times, but yet God said, I'm

  489. going to call something. I'm going to.

  490. I'm going to change emotion, Jacob, I'm fixing to roll

  491. something your way. You think you can wrestle with

  492. me? You may wrestle, but you're

  493. going to walk away a little different.

  494. You might have a limp, but every time.

  495. You take that step. You'll remember the night you

  496. wrestled. And you'll remember.

  497. That I brought you through, and not only did I bring you through

  498. limping, but I brought you through with a new life and a

  499. new attitude. I think of the Apostle Paul,

  500. that that was blinded on the road.

  501. What was that? That was a side effect of.

  502. God Almighty coming down. And changing his life and

  503. rearranging his. World and he's still.

  504. Writing and still his writings are still leading people and

  505. guiding us today. I think of the cross that had

  506. the greatest side effect, deliverance.

  507. Eternal hope and eternal. Home, a hope and a future.

  508. I challenge you in 2026. Get out from under the side

  509. effects of the world. Get out from under the side

  510. effects of things that are holding you and binding you and

  511. pulling you down. And and just.

  512. Just get out from under it because see, we're not we're not

  513. created to live in a secondary place.

  514. Are your side of this, I ask you this in closing today.

  515. Are your side effects pleasing to the Lord?

  516. We worry about pleasing so many people.

  517. I heard no man say I ain't got to please nobody but God.

  518. My wife and the older I get is true.

  519. Well, they say if Mama ain't happy, that's the greatest thing

  520. is a relationship to teach you self-control because you open

  521. that mouth that you want to open and say that thing you really

  522. want to say. Unless you plan on leaving each

  523. other, you got to hang out with each other.

  524. I used to never get to see my wife.

  525. Now it's like, man, we've been around here a few days.

  526. She likes to get away from me more.

  527. I do her thing. But you open that mouth, there's

  528. some side effects. Y'all come on, preach with me.

  529. You going? To do it this week, you going to

  530. want to say how many can't say it side effects.

  531. But if you don't say it, you ain't got to live under it,

  532. right? But I want you, I want to ask

  533. you, are your side effects of this life pleasing to your

  534. heavenly Father? I heard a story as I close of

  535. the violinist. He he came to this big place to

  536. play and they had invited lots of people and the violin is very

  537. hard to play. And they said he played this

  538. concert. And he said there was a standing

  539. as you stand your feet this morning.

  540. He said there was a standing ovation.

  541. Everybody was clapping, everybody, everybody was on

  542. their feet. And the violinist sat down over

  543. here in a chair and he just sat there kind of with his head down

  544. like this. And he was sitting there and the

  545. guy that was producing the deal, the production manager, he walks

  546. over and he says, son, he said, what's wrong?

  547. He said, why aren't you? Why aren't you taking this in,

  548. man? Nobody's ever came to this

  549. Symphony hall and got a standing ovation.

  550. They're standing there clapping. And he said, yeah, but that one

  551. man over there sitting down, he said, that's all you see is that

  552. one man is the sitting down there and you can't jump and you

  553. can't clap. He said, no, I can't because

  554. he's my teacher. What would happen if we was like

  555. that with God? It doesn't matter what happens

  556. in this life. Who's jumping?

  557. Come on, would you bow your heads and.

  558. Worship with it doesn't. Matter who's jumping, it doesn't

  559. matter who's praying. If you're all tore up from the

  560. side effects of this life, it doesn't matter.

  561. It doesn't matter. Don't that bring it home?

  562. I said. It doesn't matter if your

  563. Heavenly Father's not pleased, not pleased, he said.

  564. Well, pastor, that's a high place to aim.

  565. I'm not in this thing for half heartedness.

  566. I'm not in this thing just to slip into heaven, Amen.

  567. I've done a lot of work on this earth.

  568. I want to rule and reign with my Heavenly Father in heaven.

  569. Amen. Thanks for listening to the
