  1. Welcome to the Cross Power Church podcast.

  2. You're listening to a service from our church in Campbell, TX.

  3. We pray this message strengthens your faith and points you to the

  4. cross. Now let's join the service.

  5. Appreciate these songs. This morning I got a message on

  6. that I started to preach today. That's a very song.

  7. I'll finish it later. Hey man, I got another one.

  8. Do you know it was prophesied that there was a savior coming

  9. in Malachi that had healing Ware in his wings.

  10. Jesus wore a rabbi coat because he was Jewish, right?

  11. He wore a robe that had the tassels on it were called wings

  12. in the Hebrew and the Greek. And I believe the lady with the

  13. issue of blood knew that she had heard that when my little cow

  14. prophesied there's healing in his wings.

  15. Can I tell you it's still there this morning?

  16. Amen. It's still there this morning.

  17. Have your Bibles. Good to see everybody.

  18. We survived the holidays. Hebrews chapter 4.

    Hebrews 4 chapter mention

  19. God woke up in the wee hours of the morning with these words and

  20. just built a message. You know, when the Lord wakes

  21. you up, I figure He wants you to preach on it.

  22. So I don't know. I can't tell you I got it

  23. figured out. Still figuring, I guess, but I

  24. try to let out what's in me is all I can say.

  25. But let's stand the reading of the Word in Hebrews chapter 4.

    Hebrews 4 chapter mention

  26. The Bible is full of. Thrones.

  27. Mentions the throne room. Of heaven it mentions a throne

  28. that Jesus sets up, it mentions 12/12 Thrones which the

  29. disciples will set up on and judge the 12 tribes of Israel

  30. and. Every time I think about all of

  31. those. Thrones, you know I.

  32. I think about it and I think about one of those Thrones would

  33. have. Probably had Judas's name on it.

  34. But he messed up, but yet there was something significant about

  35. how he messed up because the Bible is full of people that

  36. messed up, but some overcame, some didn't, right?

  37. We've all messed up, but some of us has overcome and we're going

  38. to overcome and some of us aren't, right.

  39. And I want to, I want you to get that in your mind today.

  40. I want to teach you how to overcome today.

  41. But to overcome you have to learn this one thing in life is

  42. you will approach your throne. I'm going to mention to you

  43. several Thrones today, but the the greatest throne that you can

  44. ever approach is, is the one with the king setting up on it,

  45. Amen. The throne that the writer of

  46. Hebrews says here in Hebrews chapter 4 and verse 14, it says

    Hebrews 4 chapter mention

  47. seeing then that we have a great high priest, how many know who

  48. that's talking about? It's not a cardinal, it's not

  49. some priest that's over in the Roman Catholic Church, it's the

  50. high priest, Amen. He said we have a high and a

  51. great high priest, he said, who has passed through the heavens,

  52. Jesus, the Son of God, who let us hold fast the confession for

  53. we do not have a high priest. Well, I love that right there.

  54. I'm not serving someone today that did not walk this earth and

  55. go through everything that I'm going through and you're going

  56. through today. But he walked this earth and he

  57. can sympathize with your weakness.

  58. Boy, that should get you going this morning.

  59. Maybe you ain't got a weakness. I got them can sympathize with

  60. our weaknesses plural, but was in all points tempted as we are

  61. yet say that with me yet without sin.

  62. So what what that so that's what leads us to verse 16.

  63. So let us therefore, and I want you to focus on this word.

  64. Come boldly. I'm going to be back to that

  65. word many times during this message.

  66. Therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may

  67. obtain mercy. Well, we need mercy this.

  68. Morning and find. Grace to help.

  69. In our time of need. Father, we thank you for your

  70. word this morning. We thank you for a great high

  71. priest named Jesus Christ. We thank you for a throne that

  72. we can approach with boldness today and find.

  73. Mercy in our time. Of need.

  74. Father, we thank you for that today.

  75. We thank you for Jesus Christ that made the preaching of this

  76. gospel possible and the the redemption of our sin so real in

  77. our life and ultimately ends us at a home in heaven, a home in

  78. glory, where we will see these Thrones.

  79. That is in the very throne room where you're seated at the

  80. right. Hand of the Father, right?

  81. Now interceding for each and every.

  82. One of us. We ask for the anointing to

  83. receive and to preach this gospel as never before in 2026.

  84. It's in your son's name. We.

  85. Ask and pray. Amen.

  86. So we read, we have a high priest, we have a great.

  87. Throne. But see, there's a problem

  88. there, because it's hard for some people to approach

  89. something with boldness when they haven't accepted what he

  90. did. And he who sets up on the

  91. throne, Can I get a witness? But when you accept it, you can

  92. approach that throne of grace with some boldness.

  93. We read in Second Corinthians chapter 5 and 10 and Romans 14

    2 Corinthians 5 chapter mention

  94. and 10. It speaks of a judgement seat of

  95. Christ or the bema seat of Christ.

  96. And he will be setting up on a throne and we're all believers

  97. will appear before Christ and give an account.

  98. Are you ready for that? A lot of people, a lot of

  99. preachers says we don't have to answer what's all under the

  100. blood, but but Second Corinthians 5 and 10, in Romans

  101. 14 and 10, it's where all believers will be before Christ

  102. and give an account of their earthly lives, not to be

  103. condemned. Salvation is sealed.

  104. You're in Christ Jesus at this point, but he's going to

  105. evaluate and reward us based upon our deeds.

  106. The Bible says that some will be as wood and some will be as hay

  107. and some will be as straw. I think of a lot of church folks

  108. when I read that Scripture, Amen.

  109. They have good intentions. They want to help somebody but

  110. they never follow through. Can I get a witness?

  111. I think of a lot of folk like that.

  112. But he said yet there's going to be some that's going to be

  113. tested. Y'all ain't preaching with me.

  114. And that's going to be tested as far as silver and as gold.

  115. And we will be rewarded that day revealing what was done in the

  116. body, whether good or bad. See, God knows the intention.

  117. But yes, in this life, we will approach the throne of grace to

  118. make it to the judgement of Christ, right to the judgement

  119. seat to the bima. We will stand before Christ.

  120. But changes a lot of the way we think, a lot of the way we act,

  121. a lot of the way. We live a lot of the places we

  122. go. A.

  123. Lot of the things we say and take in every day.

  124. When you think about that, you will give an account.

  125. I'll never forget when I was trying to figure out how to live

  126. a Christian life, I heard the. The very, the the voice of.

  127. God and speaking to me said if I was right there with you, would

  128. you do it? Because I.

  129. Am it changed my life because he's always with us.

  130. He says I'll never leave you, I'll never forsake you.

  131. It doesn't matter what you're going through.

  132. This morning I came by to tell you he has not left, but you

  133. will approach the throne of grace at some point.

  134. Some people don't, but I like to think that everybody has the

  135. chance, right? See the judgment seat of Christ.

  136. It's for those that have approached the throne of grace

  137. with boldness. Ask for forgiveness, right and.

  138. Accepted Jesus as their personal savior.

  139. Yes, that's what it's for. And in the afterlife we will

  140. approach a throne with a savior setting up on it.

  141. How many is ready for that day? That's why it's very important

  142. to know which throne you're approaching, right?

  143. We have to know this for those that refuse to approach the

  144. throne of grace. With boldness.

  145. I I just wonder why it says that word.

  146. Boldness. Somebody explain that here in a

  147. minute. My opinion on it, but it's

  148. important to approach the throne.

  149. Of grace with boldness. That we're talking about in

  150. Hebrews 4 because there is also called a great White Throne.

  151. Judgment right in Revelations chapter. 20 We read of this.

  152. Let's go to Revelations 20 and verses 1111 through 15.

  153. John the Revelator says, Then I saw a great white throne, and

  154. him who said on it, from whose face the earth and the heavens

  155. had fled away, and there was found no.

  156. Place for them, boy. And I saw the dead, the small,

  157. and the great standing before God, and the books were opened,

  158. and another book was opened. This is a very important book.

  159. Can I get a witness which is the book of life?

  160. And it was open, and it says, And the dead were judged

  161. according to the works by the things which were written in the

  162. books. The sea gave up the dead that

  163. were in it, and death in Hades delivered up the dead that were

  164. in it, and there were, and they were judged.

  165. Nobody's escaping judgment. Nobody.

  166. Well, what if they died in the ocean?

  167. Just said they the ocean give it up.

  168. He put the pieces back together right and we will be judged each

  169. one according here it is again. But we seem to live in the in

  170. the church age and as forgot about works, Amen.

  171. We say that there's no way to get to heaven.

  172. I don't have to do works. I don't do well.

  173. What did James say? He said faith without works is

  174. dead, right? So if you don't have works, your

  175. faith is dead this morning. And he says, you show me your

  176. works and I'll show you your faith.

  177. Amen. We're judged according to what

  178. our works, not what we've said, but our work.

  179. See, when you confess Jesus as Lord, there's going to be a work

  180. that's done in your life and, and you're going to notice the

  181. difference when you walk around in the flesh, right?

  182. Because it's the finished work at Calvary, Amen.

  183. If you're still living like the world, the finished work of

  184. Calvary has not manifested in your earthly body and you have

  185. not been transformed. Maybe you had a little bit of

  186. the renewing of the mind, but inside you have not been

  187. transformed into the likeness of Christ.

  188. Somebody abortion with me this morning and it goes on to say,

  189. and they were judged, each one according to his works.

  190. Verse 14. Then death and Hades were cast

  191. into the lake of fire. The final judgment.

  192. This is the second death and anyone not found.

  193. What a day that's going to be written in the Book of Life.

  194. Was. Cast into the Lake of Fire.

  195. Which throne are you approaching this morning?

  196. See, Jesus will set up on here on this throne, and he will be

  197. the. Presiding Judge.

  198. And justice will be served. That day and that.

  199. Going to be cool. Nobody's going to get away with

  200. it. We're not.

  201. You know, if the glove don't quit that fit, there ain't going

  202. to be no acquittal and all this crazy stuff that we hear in

  203. courtrooms. Amen.

  204. Justice will be served. You know, I live a life in peace

  205. knowing that if I do what God's called me to do, I will stand

  206. before a just God and I'm going to get what's coming to me.

  207. Amen. You're going to get what's

  208. coming to you. That's a cool deal because in

  209. this life we are not treated that way.

  210. It's unjustice in this life many times.

  211. But let's look at these Thrones. How many how many Thrones do we

  212. approach? There's so many Thrones we read

  213. in the Bible that we were created what in the image of

  214. God, not Satan, but in the garden.

  215. Because sin entered in disobedience said it really

  216. wasn't a bad sin. I mean, there wasn't no adultery

  217. committed. There wasn't a grade of sin

  218. here. It was just the one sin that we

  219. all commit called disobedience, right?

  220. But because of that, sin was committed.

  221. It was placed upon us this term that the wages of sin is death

  222. as we walk through this life. So what really happens to a

  223. human as I begin to look at this and pray and study it, What

  224. happens to a human if we were created in the image of God?

  225. Why don't we act like God? We accept Jesus, we pray the

  226. sinner's prayer. Why don't we act like God?

  227. Why aren't we? Why don't we?

  228. Jesus said greater things than than he did on this earth.

  229. We can do, but yet we're not doing them right.

  230. So let's look at this this morning because the wages of sin

  231. is death. So as we walk through this life,

  232. what really happens is, and I believe this is so true, is we

  233. lose our identity. We lose who we identify as a

  234. child of God. We're still God still created us

  235. in his image, but we have lost the identity.

  236. What did the one prayer that Jesus prayed upon this earth?

  237. What was he trying to do? He said die Kingdom come, let it

  238. be on earth as it is in heaven. So ever since the fall of man,

  239. Christ came to try to get the dominion that was in heaven and

  240. our place of dominion to put us back into our place of dominion,

  241. not take us out of something. You know, I see a lot of

  242. Christian folk, they think God's trying to take him out of

  243. something. No, He's trying to put you back

  244. in the place that he meant for you to be.

  245. He's trying to put you back in the place of dominion and cannot

  246. tell you where God put us to, to have domain.

  247. It was a great place. There was no kucka birds.

  248. There was no weeds, there was no sickness, there was no sorrow.

  249. There was no work and sweat of the brow and all those things

  250. went on. There was no lust.

  251. There was no greed. There was no poverty.

  252. It was a great place to to to have as a dominion place, right?

  253. But we lose our identity as a child of God, but yet we were

  254. created in him. We identify ourselves in our

  255. mind as a fallen sinful person and that's the truth.

  256. That is a truth. I cannot come to you today and

  257. tell you that you have never sinned because the Bible says we

  258. say we have not sinned that we're a liar and the truth is

  259. not in US, right? But see, we can't, we have to

  260. approach this throne. So how do I approach it?

  261. How do I approach a savior? How do I do this with boldness?

  262. But see, we identify ourselves as unworthy as unworthy and, and

  263. we walk through life identifying ourself like that.

  264. So how do we approach it? If I ask you, how do you

  265. approach the throne? How do you pray?

  266. Man, I bet if I, I give this mic to so many people, their prayers

  267. start like God, I need this God. Would you Amen.

  268. We do. We're guilty all at all times.

  269. We have to stop and, and thank him, you know, and, and thank

  270. him for for health is the very first thing because without it,

  271. we're nothing right? And we overlook it so many

  272. times. We have people ingesting things

  273. all into their body. I, I talked to a friend of mine

  274. the other day and he, he went to prison when he was young for

  275. drugs and selling drugs. And he told me, he said I had a

  276. friend call me. He said I've been off of that

  277. stuff for years. He said, I did my time, I've

  278. sold them, I've done them, but I no longer do those things.

  279. But I have people call me and say, hey, that my, my child is

  280. addicted to this thing. And, and he said, well, where

  281. did he get it? What is it?

  282. He said, you're asking the wrong person.

  283. I don't identify as that anymore, But yet he was wanting

  284. to know. And he said, where'd he get it?

  285. He said, you can get it in any gas station.

  286. It's a pandemic and I can't even call the name of it.

  287. But I've had people that have done all kinds of, of things to

  288. their body and they say this stuff that you can buy over the

  289. counter that's got in the it's in the vape shops, It's

  290. everywhere. He said when mixed and done with

  291. the right things, they said it's worth in anything you could ever

  292. do to your body and it'll give you a high like you've never

  293. had. And it's right over the counter,

  294. right over the counter. I'm not going to go into all the

  295. names. I'll mess it up.

  296. But see, we don't have to. Go very far to find that we're

  297. fallen. That we're in need of a savior.

  298. How do you approach a throne? With a great high priest.

  299. How do we do this with the only begotten Son that God?

  300. Sent to this Earth to save us. I would say approach it like you

  301. do the things of the world pretty.

  302. I bet it'll work. If you approach the throne of

  303. grace with the boldness that you approach your job every Monday

  304. morning, If you approach the throne of grace like you like

  305. you do retirement, come on, somebody.

  306. If you approach the throne of grace like the almighty dollar

  307. that we think we have to have to survive, if we approach the

  308. throne of grace with that kind of boldness, we're going to get

  309. some results. Amen.

  310. I would say when you approach the throne of grace, want it #1

  311. work for it, strive for it, contend for it.

  312. Amen. Approach the throne of grace

  313. with boldness. We're so good at approaching

  314. Thrones in this life and things that we have set up on a throne

  315. or a pedestal. We're so good at that, right?

  316. At all cost. We're good at attaining the

  317. things that giving. Even if it cost us some family

  318. time, even if it cost us some church time, even whatever it

  319. cost us, we're good at going after the things of the world.

  320. Why don't we get good at going after the things of God and look

  321. at the enemy and say, hey, I'm too busy for the world today.

  322. I'm going to fix my mind on things above and not things on

  323. this earth. What would what results would we

  324. get? I ask you, what a throne are you

  325. approaching? And how do you approach?

  326. It giving up time acknowledging God many people don't even

  327. acknowledge. God because they're too busy.

  328. Or the first little thing comes up and.

  329. We put it before God. Start taking some time out for

  330. God and see what he'll do for you.

  331. We say God do this for me. But yet I believe God screaming.

  332. What have you done for me? I would say approach it like you

  333. do the world. Come on, somebody.

  334. Get too busy for the world? Be about the Father's.

  335. Business. What will it?

  336. Cost. That's the first thing.

  337. We want to know, I promise you will gain 100 more times, he

  338. says. I'll replace it.

  339. Let's go to Matthew 19 and 20. 8 I had a runaway when I read the

  340. scripture. I'm talking it's good y'all

  341. Matthew 19 and 28. You got to get.

  342. This this morning, Jesus was telling his.

  343. Disciples which were doubting. He was trying to tell them

  344. something they didn't get and we still don't get.

  345. With God all things are possible, but in verse 27 I'll

  346. back up and read what Peter. Had asked.

  347. Peter answered. And he said to him, see, we have

  348. left all what sounds like church, folks.

  349. I didn't go to my work thing to come to church.

  350. What you going to do? God, I miss work.

  351. I did this, I did that. Wasn't that what Peter was

  352. doing? Man, we've left all to follow

  353. you. What was Peter really saying?

  354. And we've had to sleep on the ground.

  355. We've been hungry. We've been cold.

  356. We've been that. They don't tell them what they

  357. went through. I'm at Jesus Saint Peter.

  358. I told you that when you struck out with me.

  359. I warned you of that. But hear what Peter said, what

  360. Christians are screaming today, therefore, because I've left all

  361. of this stuff. What can I have?

  362. What? Are you going to give me God?

  363. And then most Christians sit back and wait for God to give.

  364. And depending on what God gives. Is the degree of how they will

  365. worship. It's the degree.

  366. Of what they will give. Back to God.

  367. But see, the problem with that is that's the wrong throne

  368. because that's not the throne that he's sitting on.

  369. That's the throne that you have been taught in this world when

  370. you lost your identity and left your place of dominion because

  371. of the sin in our life, right? So we're not we're not even

  372. looking up the right throne because I'm here to tell you God

  373. does not operate like that. He says you give me your life

  374. and you trust me with your life and I'm going to make it

  375. something beautiful that you could never imagine.

  376. But you're not going to know what it's going to be.

  377. You're not even know what you're going to be doing.

  378. You're probably going to change careers and the destination that

  379. you thought you was going to be. It's probably not going to

  380. happen that way. It could.

  381. But he says give it to me and then I'll show you what I'll do.

  382. But no, we're like Peter, we've left all to follow you.

  383. Therefore, what are you going to give me?

  384. Who? It's the wrong throne.

  385. Can you say, man, it's the wrong throne?

  386. How would you answer? How did Jesus answer that?

  387. He said assuredly. I say to you, he automatically

  388. goes from the here and now to the regeneration to where we're

  389. regenerated to where we're in the in the heavenly Rams.

  390. Jesus never he would take the earth and turn it right around

  391. to his Kingdom, to his throne. He said assuredly.

  392. I say to you that in the regeneration, when the Son of

  393. Man, whoa, that's on his throne, I'm ready.

  394. He sits on the throne of his glory.

  395. You who have followed me, he was looking at the disciples.

  396. You know, you, you have a bunch of old.

  397. I'm not going to call the denominator.

  398. God help me to bite my tongue and not call the denomination,

  399. but they think that the only person Jesus was talking to was

  400. the disciples. Every time there's a worker

  401. every time God's really trying to do something they say wow, he

  402. was talking to the can't do that to me.

  403. God, that was for the disciples. You ever been told I just want

  404. to back just shake them and wake them.

  405. OK, but let's get real. He was talking to the disciples

  406. right here. He said in the regeneration when

  407. the son. Of man sits.

  408. On the throne of his. Glory.

  409. He looked at them, he said. You who?

  410. Have followed Me will also set on the 12 Thrones judging the 12

  411. tribe. He was looking at 12.

  412. He called the 12 and that is true.

  413. But let's look on a little bit farther.

  414. Thank God he wasn't just talking to the disciples.

  415. Look what he said here, He said. And everyone who has left his

  416. house or his brothers or his sister, come on, Holy Ghost,

  417. help me this morning. Or his father, or his mother, or

  418. his wife, or his children, or his land, for my name's sake

  419. shall receive a hundredfold and inherit eternal life.

  420. But many who are first will be last, and the last will be

  421. first. I want to be one that follows

  422. him, Amen. I want to be something that

  423. gives up something in this life for Jesus Christ, because he

  424. said I'm going to replace it a hundredfold, Amen.

  425. He wasn't just talking to the disciples that day.

  426. We go to Revelations 3 and 21. It says to him who overcomes, I

  427. will grant to sit with me when I read that this morning, then

  428. we're going to be granted to set with him when we overcome.

  429. He said on my throne as I also overcame and sat down with my

  430. father on his throne. Which throne are you

  431. approaching? A lot of Christians never even

  432. think about the Thrones. Revelations chapter 4 you can go

    Revelation 4 chapter mention

  433. home and read. I'm not going to read it all

  434. Nine and 10 speaks of 24 elders on the Thrones around God's

  435. throne and describes the throne room of heaven.

  436. You can go home and read it in Revelations 4 about the throne

  437. room of heaven. Look at your neighbors.

  438. Say I'm about to approach a throne of grace.

  439. That's the one group, one throne we got.

  440. We can't see the throne room of heaven, but I can see the throne

  441. room of. Grace, how about you?

  442. I'm going to approach the throne.

  443. Of grace with boldness. How do I do it for summits like

  444. this? They think they're bold for

  445. confessing all the sin they committed.

  446. Hello, we come before God. We have to tell him everything.

  447. He already knows summits like this.

  448. Lord, I I know that I'm just an old Sinner.

  449. Boy, it gets real dignified in some churches.

  450. I've been. I'm just an old Sinner saved by

  451. grace. I can't do nothing.

  452. Else. And I struggle every day.

  453. I'm on sin every day and I'm going to come back and I'm going

  454. to cry. My prayers that's about to

  455. extend them is asking God to forgive me.

  456. Hello, y'all been there? I've been there, but I ain't

  457. there no more. I learned to approach it with

  458. boldness. I didn't like coming up with a

  459. whoopin. I'd done taking, oh God forgive

  460. me, and crying and snotting and figuring out that it really

  461. didn't move God much. He says go back and do your

  462. first works over again and get it right, and then come up here

  463. and we'll talk about it. I still love you, but you can't

  464. have none of this thrown until you realize where you're at.

  465. The throne's up, we're down. So how do we approach it?

  466. So when we beg, we're not really.

  467. Approaching with boldness, right?

  468. But remember this, and this is the most important thing if

  469. you're trying to approach the throne this morning, most of

  470. all, remember this. Write this down.

  471. Do not let your sin and condemn, condemnation and your guilt keep

  472. you from approaching the throne because we've all sinned.

  473. We've all had condemnation, We've all had these things.

  474. But don't let it stop you from approaching your throne because

  475. that's the easiest plan of the enemy.

  476. If he can get you to stop approaching the throne because

  477. you feel guilty of something you already did, well, guess what,

  478. devil? That's what the blood is for.

  479. Hey, man, so I can approach the throne of grace with boldness,

  480. even when I've fallen, even when I'm tempted, even when I'm weak.

  481. That's what he, that's what he means here in Hebrews.

  482. Approach that throne of grace with boldness and say, God, I

  483. know I messed up. Don't make an excuse for your

  484. mess up. That's the worst thing you can

  485. do. God, I messed up, but don't let

  486. your sin, your guilt, your condemnation keep you.

  487. This will change your life because that's what happens.

  488. We let our sin, oh, I've been doing this this week.

  489. I can't go to church. That's why you need to go to

  490. church. I can't do this.

  491. I can't pray. That's why you need to pray.

  492. Hey, man, you need to approach with some boldness and say, God,

  493. I need this out of my life to where I can communicate with you

  494. and get back on the heavenly stage.

  495. Amen. Keep approaching.

  496. Look at your neighbor. Say keep approaching.

  497. Don't let your sin, your car. I got to back up and teach this.

  498. You ready? Don't let your sin, your

  499. condemnation, your guilt keep you from approaching the throne.

  500. Bring it all. Keep approaching.

  501. Aren't you glad you kept approaching when the enemy told

  502. you you was down to your last leg?

  503. You'd went through hell on earth, but to come on, somebody

  504. give him praise in the house. You just kept approaching that

  505. one more time and he reached down to where you was at and He

  506. delivered you. We got to keep approaching with

  507. boldness in your time of need. When it seems there's no answer,

  508. keep approaching it. When it seems that God is

  509. adhering, keep approaching. When you want to run, turn to

  510. run to the cross. Just keep approaching because I

  511. can make you this promise He will meet you there.

  512. There ain't nothing he ain't seen before.

  513. Bring it all to the table. Keep.

  514. Keep approaching. And the third thing is this.

  515. Keep approaching because God can fix it.

  516. Isn't that cool? I can't fix it.

  517. You can't fix it. Confessing to a priest?

  518. Sure I ain't going to fix it. I had a buddy come to me one

  519. time. He confessed to a priest.

  520. I know I'm on tape, but I don't care.

  521. He confessed to a priest. A priest used some choice words,

  522. explained this situation. He said, Can you believe my

  523. priest said that? I said, yeah.

  524. I said, because he must think he's God if he thinks he can

  525. confess and talk to him and he can do something about it.

  526. I said, you going to find you can go to that little booth

  527. every day and that situation ain't going to change until you

  528. give it to Jesus. It might help your feelings, it

  529. might make you arise to some level in the church

  530. denomination. But it really ain't going to do.

  531. Nothing in here. I learned a long, a long time

  532. ago, the outside, we can dress it up, we can clean it up.

  533. But what did Jesus say? He said you can wash that old

  534. tomb like they did and you can make it look real good on the

  535. outside. But inside, if you're full of

  536. dead man's bones, there's going to be no life.

  537. A man keep approaching because Jesus can fix it.

  538. I often think of David going through a trial.

  539. My God, if, if David, if I did what David did, I'd have to lay

  540. the. Mic down today.

  541. Hey, man, I, I would, I would have to quit.

  542. I mean, it would be on Facebook. I'd be in jail.

  543. But think of David. He was the king.

  544. I mean, I guess he could pardon himself.

  545. I don't know. But I know one thing he did no

  546. matter what he. Did in his life.

  547. He kept approaching, he kept approaching, he kept

  548. approaching. I think of old Peter, even

  549. though he, even though he was a murderer, had he committed

  550. adultery and lost his child, what did he do?

  551. He kept approaching it. David knew how to overcome the

  552. enemy. That's why I do.

  553. That's why God said he's, he's after my own heart because he

  554. may fall, but he knows how to get up.

  555. Amen. Being a Christian is not just

  556. about falling. It's not just about stay.

  557. It's how many times you get up. I think of Peter warming his

  558. hands by the fire and they said you're that dude that was

  559. hanging with the with the Nazareth, with Jesus and

  560. Nazareth. He said no, it wasn't me.

  561. He even went on to ask again. He said.

  562. I don't. Even know the man you're.

  563. Talking about they said you even talk like him.

  564. We've seen you with no, I don't know the man Peter denied when

  565. they came to Judas and he and he kissed him on the cheek.

  566. What did Judas do? He denied Christ.

  567. Same sin, two different outcomes.

  568. Why? Because Peter, when he's sin, he

  569. went to that throne of grace with boldness.

  570. Amen. And grace hadn't even really hit

  571. yet, but he had heard a little bit about it.

  572. He had heard just a little bit. If you've heard a little bit

  573. about the grace of God, you ought to shout today because

  574. it's enough to pick you up. Just a little bit of it'll pick

  575. you up and it'll carry you from the place you are to where you

  576. thought you never could be. Peter denied Christ, he messed

  577. up, but he continued the ultimate sin, deny and cry.

  578. Do you know I think of Peter when he when he the minute he

  579. said, I don't know the man. Do you think he remembered them

  580. words that Jesus said? Jesus said, if you deny me

  581. before men, I'll deny you before my Father in heaven.

  582. Peter had every reason to say, man, it's over this Christian

  583. life, I can't live it, I'm going to give it up.

  584. It's over. I can't do it God.

  585. But no, Peter had something in him.

  586. He had some boldness. He remembered a few.

  587. Words. That he had heard Jesus.

  588. Say. Approach the throne of grace

  589. with boldness. Are you getting this?

  590. This morning? I also think of Judas.

  591. What did he do? He went out and took matters.

  592. Into his own hands, that's what we do.

  593. We don't hang ourselves. But we do it with.

  594. Drugs. Alcohol.

  595. Lustful things of the world. We we do.

  596. We do. Those things right?

  597. What a millionaire's do they go buy something else they think

  598. will he'll that'll that'll. Release the endorphins.

  599. Is that the right word? Or whatever it is that causes

  600. the good. Feeling so they go buy something

  601. else only to find the next day or two they're down again and

  602. going to buy something else. But see Judas, he comes to mind

  603. because he did the same thing that Peter had.

  604. Done. He denied Christ.

  605. He took. Matters into his own hands.

  606. I challenge you in 2026, quit taking matters into your own

  607. hands. Approach the throne of grace.

  608. I know I've messed up. I know I've done wrong.

  609. We all have. But I got to keep approaching

  610. the throne of grace with boldness.

  611. Why? Because there's help there.

  612. In my time of need. Go to Hebrews chapter 12 and I'm

    Hebrews 12 chapter mention

  613. going to close Hebrews chapter 12.

    Hebrews 12 chapter mention

  614. It's good to surround yourself not with just people that live

  615. their own life on a throne and never do any wrong.

  616. It's good to surround yourself with people.

  617. That have been there. Hello I didn't get the.

  618. Privilege of going to seminary and being around all the godly

  619. people that were at seminary. How was that thought?

  620. That was all there for the right motives.

  621. They were all called to preach. I didn't have that opportunity.

  622. I heard the voice of God and told me to tell people about

  623. Jesus and give me a Bible. Put me on the rodeo circuit with

  624. a lot of unbelievers at that time.

  625. I got some real lessons in life on what worked and what didn't,

  626. what run them off and what kept them listening.

  627. Learn a few things the hard. Way.

  628. But I have learned this in Hebrews chapter 12.

    Hebrews 12 chapter mention

  629. I've learned to surround myself with clouds.

  630. Witnesses not. Witnesses about how they failed

  631. yesterday or today or tomorrow, but those that have failed but

  632. kept getting up and kept going on.

  633. It's always been amazing to me how Jesus did not go to the

  634. synagogue. To pick the 12.

  635. That would spread the gospel. Me, and you said it many times,

  636. give me somebody that's never rode a horse and I can teach

  637. them to ride faster. Than somebody that's got a bunch

  638. of garbage from everybody else that really didn't know what

  639. they were. Doing either and you can teach

  640. that person that much faster. It's no different in the Bible.

  641. You can take someone that don't know anything about this Bible

  642. and just chooses to believe it and ain't got a bunch of old

  643. dumb. Doctrine mixed up in it.

  644. If you think all the churches are right, go leave.

  645. Read the first 3 chapters of Revelations.

  646. Jesus condemned them. We got some stuff messed up if

  647. we ain't going by this, but I challenge you in 20.

  648. Six, Don't take matters into your own hands.

  649. If you don't understand, look around especially.

  650. If you're in the House of God and a Bible, believe in church.

  651. Look around because I know some people.

  652. Here that keep getting up. I know some people here that

  653. keep fighting for the fake Give me somebody that'll fight.

  654. Hey man, give me somebody that'll overcome.

  655. Give me somebody that's striving.

  656. We don't need the perfect if you're perfect, you'll mess it

  657. up. But in Hebrews chapter 12, we

    Hebrews 12 chapter mention

  658. stand our feet. I want you to get this verse

  659. today. In verse one it says therefore

  660. we. Also, since we are surrounded by

  661. so great a cloud of witness, let us lay aside every weight.

  662. See the Thrones of. This life, the Thrones of this

  663. world, are nothing but weights. And the sin which so easily.

  664. Ensnares us and let. US run with endurance the race.

  665. That is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author.

  666. And the finisher. He didn't just.

  667. Start it he who started a. Work in you is able to bring it

  668. to completion. He's a finisher.

  669. Are you a finisher? What throne are you looking to

  670. of our faith? Who for the joy that was set

  671. before him? And I read that a lot.

  672. I'm like, what? What joy?

  673. There was no joy. In Jesus.

  674. Life really up on this earth I'm sure when he touched those that

  675. were deaf and. And raised the dead that.

  676. Brought some joy to his life, but that's not the joy he was

  677. talking about. It said that this joy was set

  678. before him because it was set. Up in heaven.

  679. And he knew he had to fulfill what was on this earth.

  680. It's no different for you and I. To get to heaven, we had to

  681. fulfill Our Calling upon. This Earth.

  682. Amen. It's not as easy as just praying

  683. a little prayer and living your own life the rest of your life.

  684. I hope it is because I know a lot of folks, that's all.

  685. They do it. I hope it is, but when I read

  686. this Bible, I see that it ain't. We got to finish for he Who for

  687. the. Joy that was set before.

  688. Him endured the. Cross despising the shame, and

  689. has sat down at the right hand of God on the throne of God.

  690. Isn't that awesome? What throne are you aiming for

  691. this morning? You know he can turn your.

  692. As you bow your heads this morning, I want you to know that

  693. he can turn your mess into a message.

  694. He can turn your storm and your. Troubled sea into a calm sea.

  695. But you got to bring it all. I said you got to bring it all

  696. in 26. You got to bring it all.

  697. This could be the year that the Lord returns.

  698. You got to bring it all to the table.

  699. Would you tell the enemy I'm not ashamed of it.

  700. I'm going to bring it all and I'm going to get it out in 26

  701. right now. I'm going to give it to him.

  702. Thanks for listening to the Cross Powered Church podcast.
