  1. Welcome to the Cross Power Church podcast.

  2. You're listening to a service from our church in Campbell, TX.

  3. We pray this message strengthens your faith and points you to the

  4. cross. Now let's join the service.

  5. Man, I went to Zambia, Africa to preach and in the middle the,

  6. the, the schedule changes about 40 times a day when you're

  7. overseas. And they said we've got a church

  8. that wants you to come preach this afternoon.

  9. And, and I looked at my watch and it was the afternoon

  10. already. And they took me out into what

  11. was called the copper belt region where copper's mined all

  12. over that area of Zambia. And the copper mine owner was a

  13. believer and had turned his entire workforce out if they

  14. would go to church. And so I get there and they're

  15. in the church and it is so full. It is so full.

  16. There's no room. It's standing room only.

  17. There's people outside standing to listen.

  18. And, and so I get there and it's just, it's this little bitty.

  19. It's a Hut, basically. And I was so far back into

  20. Zambia that I was the only white man that most of the kids had

  21. ever seen in person. Now, they had seen them in

  22. pictures and they had seen them, you know, on television, but

  23. they had never actually met. 1 And so I had about 200 kids

  24. touching my arm to see if my skin was real.

  25. And I let them all get up there and get real close and as they

  26. were all touching my skin and they kind of got comfortable

  27. with it, I said. And you talk about scatter.

  28. I waited till they were comfortable and and so they took

  29. me in the church building where I was going to be preaching and

  30. the the the host or the shower. He looked at me and he said

  31. there's your there's your chill brother, take it.

  32. And I looked at him and I said, you going to have to find

  33. another chair. Because this was me plus 200 lbs

  34. at that point. And who whistled.

  35. Wow, I used to love coming here. I'm just kidding.

  36. And he pointed at it and I said I said brother, shower that.

  37. That chair won't hold me up and he looked at me and he said sure

  38. it will. And I said sure it won't.

  39. And when I started down I never stopped.

  40. Honey, that chair wasn't even a speed bump on my way to the

  41. floor. When I hit that thing, I started

  42. a toothpick factory. It was people look like

  43. porcupines walking around from splinters just stuck in them

  44. from that chair. It, it didn't bust, it went and

  45. and I hit the ground and everybody hollered because in

  46. their custom, it's very, very you, just you just don't

  47. embarrass your guest. And they had embarrassed me

  48. because their seat was not strong enough to hold me in

  49. their eyes, which I told them. I am going somewhere and so

  50. after that happened Brother Shawa.

  51. Helped me up, which was a task him and six other pastors.

  52. But when they got me up, I was laughing.

  53. If you fall, I laugh. If I fall, I laugh.

  54. When I fell and busted my head open this week, I laughed.

  55. After I woke up, I laughed. Brother Shiawah looked.

  56. At me and he had big old tears and he said we invited you and

  57. we did not make room for you. And I said, what do you mean?

  58. He said we did not take into account and I didn't take this

  59. offensive, your weightiness. We wanted you to come, but we

  60. did not prepare a place for you. And so when I called this

  61. morning, I asked pastor to prepare a place for me so that I

  62. could see everybody but wouldn't be standing on this knee that

  63. screams at me every now and then.

  64. And he prepared a position for me to be able to step into.

  65. Now, what I'm going to share with you this morning is about

  66. what God has prepared for you, and He's wanting you to make

  67. time for him to. Show it to you.

  68. OK, so it's twofold #1 you need to make room for God, not the 10

  69. minute commute. Right.

  70. Not that cup and a half of coffee, That's God's time.

  71. No, that's your time, and you can spend it with God.

  72. But in actuality, that's your time.

  73. So you don't kill anybody else the rest of the day, right?

  74. But God wants to let you know there's stuff for you that He

  75. has not revealed yet. Now listen, I AM 54 years old.

  76. I got saved when I was seven years old.

  77. I've been serving the Lord that whole time.

  78. I've been through a. Bunch of stuff.

  79. I've faced a bunch of stuff, I've gone through a bunch of

  80. stuff. But this is one thing I have

  81. learned for sure. God has a plan that's always

  82. bigger than what I think that He can't Get Me Out of.

  83. And His plan is amazing, but I have to let Him work His plan.

  84. But doing so doesn't mean that I get to sit on the sidelines.

  85. It means I have to show up. It means I have to participate

  86. in order to see God's fullness come to pass in my life.

  87. Amen. So I want you to go to Jeremiah

  88. 33 and I will tell you this is one of my most favorite passages

  89. of Scripture in the whole Bible. It really is.

  90. It may not be to you yet, but I hope it is Before you leave here

  91. this morning, I'm going to read 3 verses and then capitalize on

  92. the third verse. But I want to talk to you about

  93. this. How many of you in this last

  94. year, and I know we're still in January or February today, how

  95. many of you in this last year have found yourself desperate

  96. for God to do something not, not just one of those Lord, if you

  97. get a chance, it's one of those. Lord, yesterday would have been

  98. great. Today may be too late.

  99. And God, you're never late. But how many of you know this?

  100. He's never early either. Show me one time.

  101. God's been early. He's always on time.

  102. So let's go from this place of being desperation to revelation

  103. because the only thing that will cause you to grow in the Lord is

  104. getting a greater revelation of who He is.

  105. OK, so let's go from desperation to revelation.

  106. If you've been serving the Lord your whole life or you just

  107. started, this message is for you.

  108. You ready? OK, set with me from desperation

  109. to revelation. Now look at somebody next to you

  110. and say I want it today. All right.

  111. Moreover, the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah a second time

  112. while he was shut up in the court of the prison saying just

  113. leave it right there. Oh, this is good.

  114. How many of you had my Mama when you were growing up?

  115. OK, no hands, just me. OK, that's good.

  116. The reason I ask that is how many of you had a Mama like

  117. this? If I have to tell you one more

  118. time now, how many of you heard that and did not heed it?

  119. One time somebody said, how many of you know that it is better to

  120. obey and listen to the one time and do what you're told?

  121. Because the other side of I told you already is judgement.

  122. My mother was Old Testament judgement in my New Testament.

  123. Walk with the Lord. She could not find time out in

  124. the book of Proverbs, but she knew we're both.

  125. Versus word that had something about a stick in it.

  126. I didn't do much time out, but I did a lot of time trying to wake

  127. back up. I'm just kidding.

  128. She never abused me. I just flinched a little bit.

  129. But the Lord tells Jeremiah a second time, So what is he

  130. referring to? Back in Jeremiah 3131, the Lord

  131. said, hey, I'm going to establish a new covenant.

  132. It's going to be awesome. People are going to love me,

  133. they're going to worship me. They're going to serve me.

  134. They're going to go into bondage, but they're going to

  135. come out 70 years later. I mean, there's three chapters

  136. of him just saying God's going to do this, and I'm going to do

  137. this, and it's going to be awesome, and your people are

  138. going to be blessed. But Jeremiah forgets about the

  139. promise because he's in the prison.

  140. How do you know that second line?

  141. He was still shut up in the prison.

  142. How many of you? Have had the Lord tell you

  143. something, but a little bit later you wondered if it was the

  144. Lord or if it was that person that was being super spiritual

  145. or if the enemy was just trying to deceive you.

  146. I've been there. All three, all right.

  147. And how many of you know that when the Lord comes back a

  148. second time to tell you something, he means it?

  149. So what is he doing? He's seeing Jeremiah, who's

  150. locked up in the in the courtyard of the prison, which

  151. means he is chained, but he's not inside the building.

  152. He is literally chained to a post outside to where everybody

  153. in town that passes gets to see him standing there.

  154. This is your prophet. This is the guy that that God

  155. sent you to speak to you. And look at him.

  156. He's chained up because all the things he said haven't come to

  157. pass. Well, Jeremiah also told him it

  158. was going to be 70 years, but because it didn't happen in 7

  159. minutes, right? Because it didn't happen by the

  160. 7:00 PM service. That night, come on.

  161. Then they decided that he was a false prophet.

  162. But how many know God's ways are higher than our ways?

  163. He knows exactly what he's doing.

  164. Does anybody have any faith in the fact that God knows what

  165. he's doing? All right, so, so listen, this

  166. is the second time God's told him.

  167. So I'm coming by to be the voice of the Lord, to speak to some of

  168. y'all. I done told you once.

  169. Now I've got my belt with me, and if I need to use it, I'll

  170. use it. But I promise you, He can get on

  171. your nerves way better than my belt can.

  172. He knows how to deal with you in the night.

  173. He knows how to deal with you when you're at work.

  174. He knows how to let you have no peace at all until you follow

  175. Him. Boy, that's good preaching right

  176. there. I'd say Amen louder if it was

  177. me. Verse 2.

  178. Thus saith the Lord, the Maker thereof.

  179. Wow, the maker thereof, the one who made it, the Lord who formed

  180. it to establish it. The Lord is His name.

  181. OK, so the Lord made it. The word made here means that He

  182. made a form. OK, so if you can get in your

  183. mind, lay in a slab and you got to go in and build the form

  184. boards, and you've got to make sure that it's all correct and

  185. that it's measured properly and that it's square and it's flush.

  186. OK, so the Lord says before you were born, Jeremiah, going back

  187. to Jeremiah 1, before you were even born, I had already poured

  188. A framework for this. So don't think that I'm just

  189. throwing you into something. I'm taking you to something I

  190. created you for. So when you have the form built,

  191. then you can fill it. But you got to be careful that

  192. you don't have a form of godliness.

  193. And the way that you deny the power thereof is because when

  194. you have a form that is not godly, it can't hold up.

  195. And so you have no foundation. I'm preaching really good, OK?

  196. He's the one that made it. Secondly, he's the one that

  197. formed it. That means he's the one that

  198. poured you into this. Your whole life.

  199. God has been pouring you into your destiny your whole life.

  200. He's been standing there feeling that thing that he started in

  201. you so that the foundation can be strong enough to where you

  202. can go up because you cannot go up if the depth is not

  203. compatible with the height. So he made it.

  204. It was his plan. He.

  205. What are you going to do to help him out?

  206. How many of y'all got up this morning and said, Lord, I'm here

  207. if you need me to help you out. How many you know that if you

  208. tried to help the Lord out, you would mess things up because

  209. you've already tried before and you messed things up.

  210. Been there, done that. When you think it's a Lord, This

  211. has got to be God. How could this not?

  212. Be God and it ain't. You know what you do.

  213. You repent and you say Lord. You got to help me make better

  214. decisions than this and you move on.

  215. You don't stay there. The Lord comes to me and says,

  216. I'm telling you a second time. I'm the one that built this

  217. whole thing. I'm the one that formed it.

  218. I'm pouring you into it. I'm the one that has established

  219. it before the foundation of the world.

  220. All you got to do is walk into this season and let me do it.

  221. I'm preaching to somebody. So when you walk into that

  222. season and you allow him to do what he's doing, guess what?

  223. Things start happening. Things start.

  224. Lining up in your life, when you line up with Him, what's that

  225. thing about? Seek first Kingdom of God, his

  226. righteousness and then all these other things come into

  227. alignment. OK so he says that I made it, I

  228. formed it, I established it. I'm going to give you a word

  229. picture then I'm going to move on because I know I was a little

  230. bit late starting and y'all don't want me to stay here till

  231. 2:00 preaching. I got 2 come ONS.

  232. Anybody else want to join in? All.

  233. Right. So I want you to think about it

  234. like this. Those of you that are horse

  235. people, I want you to think about it as a round pin.

  236. Round pin, OK? Those of you that are not horse

  237. people feature in your mind a round pen.

  238. Did I make that clear enough? OK, here we go.

  239. That round pen is used to desensitize the horse.

  240. OK, sometimes horses use it to desensitize us.

  241. Oh, some of y'all are real Cowboys.

  242. Never been thrown off. I hear you all right, but that

  243. round pen is a perfect picture of the will of God.

  244. What preacher? What?

  245. How many of you? Ever heard about the hedge of

  246. protection? OK.

  247. How many of you? Have ever heard the word that

  248. Paul uses quite a bit about how that we're preordained or we're

  249. predestined? How?

  250. Many of you ever hear that and go.

  251. Man, what does that mean? That sounds really deep

  252. spiritual. OK, here you go.

  253. I'm going to tell you what it means to the word predestined

  254. means circled. It means to put a circle around

  255. it. OK.

  256. Let me give you the. Picture so you'll understand.

  257. Back in the old days when we got newspapers and we didn't have

  258. Google, if you were looking for a rental house and you moved

  259. into commerce and you wanted to find a place to rent you, you

  260. would turn over the newspaper where it had houses for rent

  261. that used to actually be in the newspaper.

  262. And underneath that, let's say you're looking for a three

  263. bedroom 2 bath. Well, there's one that says it's

  264. a bath and 1/2 it has two bedrooms and one room.

  265. That could be a bathroom, bedroom or an office.

  266. Well, that that comes pretty close to two baths and three

  267. bedrooms. So what are you going to do to

  268. that one? Circle it.

  269. Why? Because it's close to what

  270. you're wanting, but you go to the next one and it's a

  271. two-bedroom, 1 bath and needs a new roof X.

  272. You go to the next one, it's a four bedroom, 2 bath, but you're

  273. not real sure where it's at. So what are we going to do?

  274. Circle it? So what we've done is we've

  275. predetermined that that is the goal.

  276. When God predestined you, He. Places you in a round pen and

  277. says that's where I want to train you.

  278. Because the whole point of the round pen is to.

  279. Get the horses. Attention off of them and only

  280. you. The whole point of the round pen

  281. is to get them to come to the middle instead of staying on the

  282. outside with fight or flight. You want them to come to the

  283. middle because they trust you. So when I was training horses

  284. and and don't you know, I'm, I'm, I'm no Crump by any stretch

  285. of the imagination. But I do love horses and I do

  286. love working with them. And so years ago when I was

  287. working with some Colts and breaking them, well, I was doing

  288. the groundwork. Somebody else was breaking them

  289. because I didn't want to break the Colts.

  290. But anyway, literally. But I was doing the groundwork

  291. and, and I would have one of my kids over here with a rod and

  292. reel and on the end of it I had a bunch of Coke cans, aluminum

  293. Coke cans tied off on it. And over here I had a big old

  294. garbage bag tied off and a tarp. And, and over here I had some

  295. some pieces of pipe on the side of the fence all the way around

  296. that round pin. And so I I would get the kids to

  297. come out and make noise all the way around that thing, because

  298. every time that they made a noise, it pushed the horse to me

  299. and let them know that I was the.

  300. Calm point in the middle was where the safety was.

  301. You with me? So when they would start to lope

  302. around and show that fight or flight mode and and start doing

  303. what they normally do, and before they ever started licking

  304. and chewing or anything like that, I would watch those horses

  305. and they would be looking around like, what do I do?

  306. And they would remember the calm spot was back in the center.

  307. You see, the reason God wants you in the center of His will is

  308. so that He can give you that piece and let you know that

  309. you're right where you're called to be.

  310. And the reason the noise is going on in your life is to push

  311. you back to Him. Now, that noise can't hurt you.

  312. It can't come through that fence.

  313. It's not going to be able to come past the perimeter that has

  314. been set up. I wish somebody would hear what

  315. I'm preaching because there is a hedge of protection around you.

  316. And when you get to the center of His wheel, suddenly you

  317. submit to Him and He can then use you for your potential.

  318. You are no longer a feed bill. Because I'm convinced that's

  319. what some people are. Boy, it's quiet in here this

  320. morning. God wants you to do something

  321. with what you've got. Your life was made.

  322. Your circle was made, and He's poured you into it so that you

  323. would become the form of those things that brought you up so

  324. that He can then take you and put you where He wants you to

  325. use you for His glory. I I can't get any clearer than

  326. that. And then Jeremiah hears the Lord

  327. say this. Call unto me.

  328. Call unto me. Yeah.

  329. Hold on just a second. Let's see if I can do this.

  330. You got your phone number, You don't why I'm calling you.

  331. You know Scott's got his phone. Scott sits still.

  332. I mean, you don't have to sit skilled, I don't guess.

  333. But anyway, how do you spell Scott?

  334. I'm just kidding. Well, I'm not calling Scott

  335. either. When you call somebody on the

  336. phone, do do you just start screaming and holler when they

  337. answer? Let me let me change that.

  338. I do not want to have pastor to do marital counseling this week.

  339. Let's let's change the scenario when Dallas is losing and you

  340. answer the phone. If that's the case, you hadn't

  341. had a phone call in eight years. I'm sorry, it was easy.

  342. This word call unto me doesn't mean hey, hit me up.

  343. It's not one of those things where you text guy and say call

  344. me ASAP. It's not this call me is not

  345. hey, you want to go grab a cup of coffee or hey, do you want to

  346. go eat Mexican? Food.

  347. It's not. I might be hungry right now.

  348. It's not that. This.

  349. Call is the. Call that a beggar makes when

  350. they have no other choice. This is a call that says I have

  351. no other option. This is not a call of let's go

  352. to church. This is not a call of oh, I love

  353. that song. I'm going to, I'm going to clap

  354. on this one. This is a call where you don't

  355. care who's around you because you know without him, you're

  356. going to die. This is a call that you don't

  357. care how ugly your makeup gets. Ladies, and hopefully not men,

  358. but we don't care how ugly your makeup gets either.

  359. Got to be fair. But honestly, it's not about

  360. your hair. It's not about your composer.

  361. It's not about how you're perceived.

  362. It's not other's point of view. This is a thing that says I know

  363. that I am desperate, and yet in one verse the Lord tells

  364. Jeremiah how to go from desperation to extreme

  365. revelation. So the first thing you do is got

  366. to call on Him. You know, you ever watch these

  367. movies and they call for the priest or the preacher to come

  368. in. Our great Lord and Father,

  369. merciful Creator, y'all, I need somebody knows how to pray.

  370. I need somebody that knows how to just walk in and when they

  371. say Jesus, that the devil goes, oh Lord, here they are, right?

  372. I'm talking about somebody that when they walk in, it is

  373. continuing the conversation they've been having all day, all

  374. week, all month because they're praying without ceasing.

  375. I want somebody that can call on him and say, Lord, if you don't

  376. do something, this is on you. You established it.

  377. You've got to do this. Calling me, I will answer.

  378. Oh my goodness, what a revelation.

  379. Some people pray like they don't believe God has ever or will

  380. ever answer. But when you pray, you need to

  381. know that he will answer you. It says I will answer thee, but

  382. here's. The crazy part about this?

  383. The word answer here doesn't mean as it would if Scott asked

  384. me a question and I gave him an answer.

  385. That's not what it means. It doesn't mean that I ask you a

  386. question and you respond to me with an answer.

  387. It means that the answer manifests in your life.

  388. What have you ever. Just been at the bottom, You

  389. know, like the bottom. Like you couldn't tell what kind

  390. of snake it was that was crawling over you because you

  391. couldn't see the top side of the snake, right?

  392. I mean, belly bottom. But all of a sudden, driving

  393. along, walking through the house, maybe just getting up

  394. from reading and praying, you start singing a song.

  395. And before long you get to singing that song a little more

  396. and a little more and a little more.

  397. And before long your attitudes change and your mindset has

  398. changed because what came out of your spirit man started to

  399. replace what your natural man was battling.

  400. That's good preaching right there.

  401. That's why it's important about what you're listening to, what

  402. you're watching. It may be the number one series

  403. on television, but if there's 4F bombs in the 1st 5 minutes, you.

  404. Probably don't need to be watching it, and if there's five

  405. in the first hour and a half, you probably don't need to be

  406. watching it. But just me, you've got to get

  407. yourself into place. Where when he answers, the

  408. answer can come through you. If he can't get an answer into

  409. you, then he can't get it through you.

  410. And what He's doing constantly by giving you preaching and word

  411. and truth and training and teaching and songs and worship

  412. is by filling you so that when there is a void that comes up

  413. and fills it. OK, So you've got to have that

  414. void field. And that void is where the Lord

  415. can do some amazing, amazing things.

  416. He is the one who will answer you, but it's going to come

  417. through you. How many have you ever gone to

  418. sit down with somebody, friend, pastor, just just somebody that

  419. you needed to talk some things out with and clear your head?

  420. Anybody. And how many have you ever been

  421. talking? And while you were talking, the

  422. answer came to you as clear as day.

  423. Now, you can say that you're just that smart, but I want to

  424. go ahead and say we're probably not.

  425. I'm going to say that when we start talking about it and we

  426. start weighing out where our faith and where our fear is,

  427. that we realize our faith has always done better than fear.

  428. And so we realize to face it with faith instead of fear.

  429. And by facing it with faith, we are victorious.

  430. Amen. OK, so call unto me and I will

  431. answer you. But the answers coming through

  432. you, it's coming through you. You're the one that's going to

  433. sing your answer. You're the one that's going to

  434. prophecy your answer. You're the one that's going to

  435. get the clarity to be able to declare what God has.

  436. That's a good thing. You ought to look at your

  437. neighbor, say he's preaching right at you.

  438. I will answer you and show you great and mighty things.

  439. Oh, I love this. Everybody say great.

  440. Great. When you read this, we read it

  441. in a Western mindset in the Western Hemisphere.

  442. We read this as being great, things being great as we

  443. describe it. Great.

  444. For instance, that restaurant was great.

  445. That coffee place really knows how to make.

  446. A hot latte. That's great.

  447. Can y'all with me? This number has nothing to do

  448. with that type of greatness. This word has nothing to do with

  449. that type of greatness. It's a generational term.

  450. It's a numerical term. OK.

  451. How many of you? That are sitting here today how

  452. many of you had parents I know exactly how many are listening

  453. now there's only 8 of. You let me say it again.

  454. How many of you had parents? Yeah, that would be everybody in

  455. the building, right? Well, if you had parents, then

  456. your parents had parents, and they were called.

  457. OK. And then they had parents and

  458. they were called, and the ones before them were called and the

  459. ones before them were called. OK, You see how that works?

  460. This number does not mean huge or huge.

  461. It doesn't mean ginormous. It doesn't mean this is awesome.

  462. It means numerical order. God is saying, I'm going to show

  463. you some generational blessings that you've not even tapped into

  464. yet. Think on that for a second.

  465. I'm going to show you some things that your great, great,

  466. great, great, great grandparents prayed for, and it can just now

  467. be released. Well, brother, how do you know

  468. you can go back? Because the blessing goes back

  469. to the 4th and 5th generation according to Scripture.

  470. Now, this is what you need to understand.

  471. If you're not serving God, then you're passing the curse and the

  472. curse goes to the 4th or 5th generation.

  473. And when it gets to the fifth generation, the curse is

  474. established. But if you walk in the blessing,

  475. the blessing's established. Now I'm saying this for a reason

  476. because the Lord wants to show you some great things, but they

  477. are generational things. When the Lord started showing me

  478. this passage. I was like, that's crazy great.

  479. Means generational. And it wasn't very long at all

  480. after this that I got a phone call.

  481. I was at my mom's. She was sick and going through

  482. some treatment. I was staying with her and the

  483. phone rang and I answered it and this lady said I'm looking for

  484. Helen McKinney. I said that's my mom.

  485. She said may I speak with her? I said, well, not right now,

  486. she's ill but I'm her son, how can I help you?

  487. And the lady says, well, I think we're kin but I need to to to

  488. make some connections. I said OK.

  489. She said I'm from Mississippi. She said I, I believe that we're

  490. Ken and your mother's name was given to me to try to figure

  491. some of this out. She said, do you know anything

  492. about your mother's side of the family?

  493. I said yes, I do. And so she said, do you know who

  494. George and Ethel are? I said, Yep, Ethel is my great

  495. grandmother, George is my great grandfather.

  496. I know exactly who you're talking about.

  497. And she said, OK, well, he had a brother.

  498. She started naming these names. This is way before you get in

  499. with 23 and million ancestry and all that.

  500. And, and and she's showing me all this stuff and, and on the

  501. phone, she's telling me about it.

  502. And and she said, well, she said, do you ever heard that

  503. your grandmother was kinder Robert E Lee?

  504. I said, yes, ma'am, I have heard that.

  505. She's told me that. We've talked about it on several

  506. occasions that she is his second great niece and and she said

  507. yes, which makes you the the 4th great nephew of Robert E Lee.

  508. And I said correct And she said do you know about the family

  509. beyond that I said no. She started talking to me.

  510. Well when she started talking to me, I started finding out all

  511. kinds of things that I did not know about my family.

  512. For instance, Robert E Lee's daddy, light horse Harry Lee

  513. because he was such a good horseman.

  514. That's where it comes from. Light Horse Harry Lee.

  515. Was the leader the general of the Continental Army under

  516. George Washington when he became president?

  517. So my 5th great grandfather was the leader of the Continental.

  518. Army. His two brothers were not given

  519. the military but were given to legalities and were very

  520. brilliant people. And I have two fifth great

  521. uncles that signed the Constitution and the Declaration

  522. of Independence and didn't know any of that until that phone

  523. call. Now, what does that mean?

  524. That means that there's a generational blessing that has

  525. been passed down through that side of the family.

  526. Then she said this. Do you know that your family is

  527. the one that started Sunday school in the United States?

  528. I said, excuse me. She said in the colonies, it was

  529. the Lees that started a Sunday school class to start in the

  530. colonies with the churches. And they were either

  531. Presbyterian or Puritan, she said, But they started churches

  532. all over the place. And I'm sitting there going,

  533. wow, never knew this, nor did my grandmother, who had already

  534. passed. She never knew it, she said, And

  535. did you know you're Jewish? I said what she said, Yeah.

  536. So Long story short, really abbreviating it, they sent a

  537. blood test to my grandmother's oldest living first cousin.

  538. He was the youngest of all of the cousins.

  539. And I called him and you talk about around her now, you don't

  540. ever see him without overall zone.

  541. I'm talking about at a funeral. He's got overall zone, you know

  542. what I mean? He breaks his own horses, raises

  543. his own hogs in the woods. He just.

  544. A man's man. He should be on Mountain Man.

  545. And I told my cousin in Mississippi.

  546. I said I don't think he's going to do it.

  547. I really don't. She said we'll ask him.

  548. So I called him up and I said Robert.

  549. And he said, what do you want? I said they think we're Jewish.

  550. He said do what? I said they think we're Jewish.

  551. He said, what are you talking about?

  552. I started telling him. He said tell him to send a test

  553. to my doctor's office. He took the test and it showed

  554. J1 Jewish genetics and it traced his family, which is my family,

  555. all the way back to the Arabic peninsula.

  556. To ER, where Abraham came from. Now you say, well, preacher,

  557. what? What is that all about?

  558. Do you realize what a generational blessing it is to

  559. know that your history has come out of that?

  560. Now I'm just going to say, on the other side, there's my

  561. daddy. And when we tried to find his

  562. great, great grandfather, we did.

  563. But his fourth wife had already found him in 1856.

  564. She had poured hydrochloric acid in his whiskey bottle.

  565. The death certificate said he was alive, but his neck was

  566. gone. He was still breathing, but he

  567. couldn't say anything because the acid had eaten his throat

  568. out. In 1856, folks, that is Civil

  569. War. Can you imagine being on your

  570. fourth wife in 1856? Can you imagine being wanted in

  571. Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana for cattle rustling

  572. and horse thieving? And evidently he was good at it

  573. because his sister's kids were named Frank and Jesse.

  574. Daddy said. We're not researching this

  575. family history anymore because sometimes you don't need to

  576. know. But the blessing of being a

  577. believer is that even if you're the first generation to believe

  578. in your family, the next generation after you gets to

  579. walk in your blessing. And that next generation gets to

  580. walk and watch your blessing. And the next generation gets to

  581. see 3 generations. You hear what I'm saying.

  582. And the next one fifth generation until they realize

  583. this is the way walk ye there in God is wanting to show you some

  584. things that you didn't even know were yours.

  585. I mean, I found out this last year that because of that little

  586. J1 gene that my cousin had that that shows that that my mother

  587. and my grandmother were were Jewish descent, that I could go

  588. to Israel, take a test, a blood test and I could claim my rights

  589. and walk into Israel and they would have to give me housing.

  590. If something don't happen at the midterms, I may be going there

  591. to get housing. I want you to understand there

  592. are blessings that you didn't even know were yours, but as you

  593. walk with the Lord. From the time I'm 7 to the time

  594. I'm 40, nobody ever told me any of that.

  595. But since that time, I've been able to walk in it, I've been

  596. able to talk in it, I've been able to visit there.

  597. I walked into Israel and, and, and Long story short, the Lord

  598. told me to grow my beard fully out.

  599. I didn't know why. So two weeks before I left or

  600. three weeks, I let my beard grow out.

  601. And when I got there, the guy walks up to me at the Wailing

  602. Wall and he says you're, you're a rabbi.

  603. No. Well, the word rabbi in Hebrew

  604. means teacher. And I am a teacher because I

  605. teach and preach to people every week.

  606. And I said, yes, I'm a rabbi. And they took me into a place

  607. that only rabbis can go. And I got to see scrolls and I

  608. got to see all kinds of things that have been sitting there for

  609. thousands of years. Because of the blessing of the

  610. Lord that I didn't even know was available.

  611. But when you start realizing all that God has done for you, it

  612. makes a difference. He told him, He said, look, if

  613. you want to go into revelation and leave this desperation

  614. thing, the first thing I want you to do is know that I made

  615. this, I formed it and I established it.

  616. So I've got all of this. Somebody say Amen to that.

  617. The next thing I want you to do is call unto me like you're

  618. desperate, not like you need something on for your prayer

  619. list. Amen.

  620. I will answer you. Where does that prayer that

  621. answer come from? Comes from inside of us, right?

  622. It's going to manifest in you. I will answer you and show the

  623. great and mighty things mighty. Oh, this is good.

  624. Look at your neighbor and say mighty.

  625. Now when we think of mighty, we think of this.

  626. We think of somebody who's mighty.

  627. That's not what the. Word is here.

  628. The the word here in the original Hebrew is talking about

  629. things that have been tied down and you couldn't have them.

  630. It means things that have been chained and you couldn't have

  631. them, but now you're at the maturity level where you can

  632. handle it. Amen, little boy.

  633. There in the blue shirt. What's your name?

  634. Isaiah, can you help me preach real quick, please?

  635. Pastor will give you $100. He's looking at you for more.

  636. Isaiah, can you help me real quick?

  637. Come on. Help me real quick.

  638. I just need you to do one thing. Isaiah.

  639. I'm up here, Isaiah, you see my keys?

  640. Can you go get my car and pull it up here for me, please?

  641. How old are you? Well, you're not mature enough

  642. to do that. You go girl, you go girl.

  643. And she could probably do it. I got a six year old

  644. granddaughter. I guarantee if I hand her the

  645. key she could get it up here. I don't know who what else is

  646. color cars are going to look like, but she would get it up

  647. there all right. But if I just throw her the keys

  648. to the tractor or just throw her the keys or something, she's

  649. going to think she knows how to do it because she's seen me do

  650. it. But how many, you know, thinking

  651. you know how to do it and do it, It's two different things.

  652. So the reason that Isaiah looked at me like I was crazy when I

  653. said. Will you go get my car is

  654. because he knows that that is not in his ability, but the

  655. weird thing is as believers, we don't understand where we are in

  656. our maturity. We think we're more mature than

  657. we are most of the time. That's good preaching.

  658. But what we've got to do, somebody help me here.

  659. What we've got to do is realize that he lets us have things when

  660. we can maturity wise take care of it.

  661. You don't give a nine year old keys to a 24 model vehicle out

  662. there. You just don't.

  663. Unless you like it marked up right?

  664. You just don't. Y'all all know Zach my son?

  665. Marissa's four years older than him and she got her license as

  666. she was on our insurance and, and, and he said, Dad, I'm 16,

  667. when can I get my license? I said, you're not ready, you're

  668. not mature enough. But I'm 16 and I don't care.

  669. You're not mature enough. And I made him wait till he was

  670. 18. And the reason I made him wait

  671. till he was 18 is because his daughter, I mean his sister,

  672. turned 22 and got her own insurance.

  673. And the day she called me and said I got my own insurance, I

  674. said, well, I guess we ought to talk about you getting your

  675. license then. He's he's 32 now, and just in

  676. June he and I were driving down the road.

  677. And he said, Dad, you know, I feel like I lost a couple of

  678. years driving because you didn't let me get my license when I was

  679. 16. I said, Yep, dad, why didn't you

  680. let me get my license when I was 16?

  681. I said because I couldn't afford insurance on you and your

  682. sister. He said, are you kidding me?

  683. I said that's exactly why you didn't get it until you were 18,

  684. because she got her own insurance.

  685. And the next day I told you you could.

  686. And then I went and signed him up for somebody else to teach

  687. him how to drive because I wasn't about to.

  688. Ain't no way. That boy can't.

  689. Drive a nail, much less a vehicle.

  690. The Lord wants to show you some stuff.

  691. He wants to show you great things.

  692. He wants to show you mighty things.

  693. He wants to show you stuff that you didn't know you could even

  694. have. But it's the desperation of him

  695. being in the prison yard, wondering if he's going to die,

  696. wondering if his ministry's over, wondering if any of the

  697. words he's declared are ever going to come to pass.

  698. And the Lord says, let me tell you again.

  699. Let me get your attention again and tell you this is what I'm

  700. going to do, but this is your part in making it happen.

  701. Somebody say my part. I want to finish with this.

  702. I know I told you about great things and mighty things, but

  703. let's look at the word show. I will answer.

  704. You. And.

  705. Show. You I love old Westerns.

  706. I love them most of them. I don't like the spaghetti

  707. westerns. It gets me off when their voice

  708. isn't right with the track. I'm just being honest.

  709. But I love old westerns. I, I, I love them.

  710. I, I love. I almost said Gerald Ford, but

  711. he wasn't an actor. Henry Ford, Clint Eastwood, you

  712. know, I, I, I love the ones with Jimmy Stewart that have got not

  713. just a, a great movie, but a great moral to it.

  714. I, I love those. And how many of you remember

  715. watching Westerns when they would get out there and the

  716. saloon will be blaring and and it'd be dark in the street and

  717. there'd be a showdown? Well y'all are lying because

  718. there never was a showdown that dark.

  719. Some of y'all are saying it always.

  720. When was the showdown High Noon? As a matter of fact, they made a

  721. movie called High Noon. You ever ask yourself why?

  722. I'll tell you why. No shadows.

  723. There's no shadows. You can't be fooled by the other

  724. gunslinger if they're moving faster than you are.

  725. You can see it in real time. There's no shadow on the ground.

  726. This word show means to, in broad open daylight, reveal an

  727. enemy. So the enemy that has disguised

  728. itself as something else but still came to your house.

  729. The enemy that has tried to kill you by throwing your head

  730. against a brick wall after throwing your rib into a pipe on

  731. Monday. That's me again.

  732. The enemy that has tried to destroy your character.

  733. The enemy that has tried to destroy your reputation.

  734. The enemy that has tried to destroy your integrity.

  735. And all you've been able to do is just sit there and say, Lord

  736. help me make it through this. But guess what?

  737. Guess what? He's going to show you in front

  738. of your enemy. He's fixing to have show and

  739. tell with you. I want you to get this in your

  740. mind. When he says I am going to show

  741. you great and mighty things, it means that he is going to pull

  742. you out of your situation and show you the things that have

  743. been hidden. Show you the things that have

  744. been covered with secrecy, things that have been tied down,

  745. things that you weren't mature enough to handle yet.

  746. Things that he's been getting you ready for this whole time.

  747. And then he gets you there and you're like, God, what do I do?

  748. And he says, watch. What I do?

  749. But the reason he does it at high noon, the reason he does it

  750. when there are no shadows, is so that the enemy has to see that

  751. you had the favor of God on your life, the favor of God.

  752. On your Life is amazing. I'll close with this.

  753. When I was a chaplain for DPS and Texas Rangers I had a badge.

  754. Beautiful badge. It's custom made and it's the

  755. Texas Star for the Texas Rangers and and it says Texas Rangers

  756. and DPS Chaplin and I carried it in a wallet that was made for

  757. carrying my badge. It was very convenient on

  758. Interstate trips to get to my car to fill it with gas if I

  759. needed to. And we were at an accident scene

  760. and there was a double curve going this way, a double curve

  761. going this way. The wreck's right in the middle.

  762. Horrible spot to have it because nobody can see it.

  763. And so when we got there on the scene, the trooper let me out at

  764. the very first part of the wreck and he said, if you'll control

  765. traffic, I'll go check on them and see what else we need.

  766. I said I got you. So I'm shutting down traffic and

  767. there's an idiot, of course, that's going to try to come

  768. around the outside because their life is more important than

  769. everybody else's. And as he's trying to come

  770. around, I just stepped up and held my hand up.

  771. Now I got on black slacks, dress shoes, a dress shirt.

  772. I, I look chaplainy, you know, chaplainish.

  773. I'm not real sure however that goes.

  774. And, and I put my hand up and I said stop.

  775. And, and he just kept coming. He acted like I wasn't doing a

  776. thing because he couldn't see what was up around the hill.

  777. He, he didn't know what was going on right over there and I

  778. was telling him to stop and he wouldn't stop and some other

  779. cars kind of edged over to kind of cut him off to where he would

  780. stop. And he just went out in the

  781. grass and and he was telling them, you know, hello and stuff,

  782. greetings from California. And, and so as we got up there

  783. too, I just reached in my back pocket and I opened up that

  784. wallet with that badge and I said.

  785. Stop, son. He locked up them wheels and he

  786. threw it in the park. He rolled out his window and

  787. said I'm sorry, officer, I said you don't move.

  788. Do you understand me? Yes Sir.

  789. Put my wallet back in. He didn't know.

  790. That all I could do was say, Have you ever accepted Jesus

  791. Christ as your Lord and Son? Are you ready for eternity?

  792. Because what he saw represented something bigger than me.

  793. What he saw is if I violate that one, there's going to be a whole

  794. lot more I'm going to have to deal with.

  795. God has given you authority, but you've got to exercise.

  796. I'm, I'm saying this for somebody in particular that

  797. needs this, this morning, this separate from what I've already

  798. shared. God has given you authority, but

  799. you've got to stand up and take it.

  800. Nobody in that line of cars knew that.

  801. The only thing that I was allowed to do was death

  802. notifications and counselling with preachers, with, with cops,

  803. but they realize who I was with. And sometimes you've got to use

  804. that authority and put the enemy in his place.

  805. So you can get the revelation that God has for you.

  806. Sometimes you just got to tell him, I'm done with you.

  807. I'm ready to see what God wants. Is there anybody else that can

  808. agree with me on that? What God is wanting to do right

  809. now is take you into a. Revelatory time and I'm speaking

  810. this to to to the church. OK, Cross Power Church, the

  811. families that are here, the leaders that are here, God is

  812. wanting to take you into revelation mode.

  813. He's wanting to take you into a place where verses that you've

  814. read 1000 times suddenly means something totally different.

  815. Take you into a time where instead of Pastor Lance praying

  816. and saying God, I don't know what I'm going to say this

  817. Sunday, you got to help me because all preachers go through

  818. that. But for him to wake?

  819. Up on Monday morning with it already in his heart what he's

  820. supposed to share this next Sunday and all week long God to

  821. just keep pouring revelation and revelation and revelation and

  822. revelation. And God is moving us from,

  823. please hear me, the church, the true church, the true Kingdom

  824. bride, the true body of Christ is moving.

  825. Please hear me from a place of deprivation where we feel like

  826. we've been deprived in some ways of the moving in the Spirit of

  827. God to desperation, and the desperation causes us to cry out

  828. to God. But when we cry out to God,

  829. immediately revelation starts coming, and that revelation is

  830. him revealing more of Himself to.

  831. Us. That's what he wants to do

  832. today. So if you've been desperate, I

  833. understand. If you've been just like God,

  834. what am I going to do? I get it.

  835. I have been there. I can't even go into everything

  836. that hell has fought me with in the last two years.

  837. I can't even get into it. But I can tell you this, with it

  838. all, God has shown himself faithful.

  839. With everything I've gone through, He has been completely

  840. faithful. And there are things that I had

  841. to press through and things that I had to go through because my

  842. maturity level had to be at a level where I could get where he

  843. was taking. Me.

  844. Y'all remember when you as a kid?

  845. I'm done. Do you remember when you as a

  846. kid and really the only thing you wanted to do was get to go

  847. to Six Flags during the summer? Anybody remember that?

  848. That was a big deal. I I drove by there the other day

  849. and there was not one inkling in my body to pull in and take a

  850. ride. Matter of fact, I think I got on

  851. the far inside lane of I-30 and just didn't even look because

  852. nothing works like original parts and it didn't even

  853. intrigue me because I've grown. Up.

  854. Let me just say this. Some of you are struggling with

  855. growing up. It's not that you don't want to,

  856. it's not that you want to stay immature.

  857. It's that growth causes there to be growth pains and it cramps

  858. and it stretches you and the things that you've been

  859. comfortable in, you can't be comfortable in anymore.

  860. So you have to make some changes.

  861. And when I, I contacted Pastor Lance and I said, look, I've,

  862. I've got a Sunday open this Sunday.

  863. I knew I was supposed to be here.

  864. I really did. I just knew it.

  865. And yesterday the Lord started dating with me from that

  866. Jeremiah 33. And he said that's where I want

  867. you. Somebody in here needs to know

  868. that what you've gone through is on purpose, and when you do

  869. purpose, which is your vehicle every day, when you do what

  870. you're created for every day, you'll end up at your destiny.

  871. You. Cannot miss your destiny if

  872. you're walking in your purpose. You can't.

  873. But I just feel like there's some folks that have struggled

  874. with it. And I want to tell you, God's

  875. trying to reveal some stuff, get desperate before him, cry out to

  876. him. Not like, O Heavenly Father, but

  877. like, dear God, if you don't do something, I need you right now.

  878. Amen. I believe God's going to help

  879. you today. Will you stand with me please?
