  1. Welcome to the Cross Power Church podcast.

  2. You're listening to a service from our church in Campbell, TX.

  3. We pray this message strengthens your faith and points you to the

  4. cross. Now let's join the service.

  5. God is good all the time. Yes, Amen.

  6. We praise Him, glorify Him and worship Him for bringing our

  7. sister through surgery. And we thank him because we know

  8. that she's going to get well and he's going to expedite that and

  9. she's going to be back before they're going, oh, we don't know

  10. what's going on, but you're healing the fashion we thought.

  11. So we know God is able to do that very thing also.

  12. He is a God of miracles. He's a God of, of healing.

  13. He's a God of deliverance. He's a God of everything,

  14. everything. Those songs that were sung,

  15. Bless the Lord. He's worthy.

  16. He alone is worthy. Worthy worthy is the Lord God

  17. Almighty, which was, which is and is to come.

  18. Hallelujah. He's going to be here before we

  19. know it, looking and waiting and watching and looking around,

  20. waiting on him to be here. Before I get started, I'm going

  21. to go to the Lord in prayer. And I know there's probably

  22. several prayer requests. People sick.

  23. I know Charlie's got the flu, just different ones that are

  24. sick. So we need to lift them up in

  25. prayer and and know that God is able to heal and deliver and

  26. meet whatever needs that are represented here tonight.

  27. So let's all just pray. Father God, we come before your

  28. throne, Lord, and we just kneel down before you, Father, and we

  29. lift our holy hands up to you, Lord, and we thank you for

  30. keeping the doctor's hands steady and safe when he was

  31. doing surgery on our sweet sister Candy.

  32. Lord. We thank you, Lord, because we

  33. know that you're going to heal her and she's going to heal fast

  34. and you're going to have your hand in the middle of that,

  35. Lord, and it's you're going to stop the pain that she's going

  36. to be going through, Lord. We know there's pain involved,

  37. Father, but you are able to stop that pain and we thank you for

  38. it, Lord. We lift Charlie up because we

  39. know he's sick. Little Cooper, Father, I pray

  40. that you just continue to touch his little body, Father, and

  41. heal him. Lord, we ask that you meet every

  42. need represented here, whether it's physical need, financial

  43. need, whatever spiritual need, Father, that is met tonight.

  44. Father, as we open your word and start worshiping you in truth,

  45. Lord, we ask that you just touch your hearts.

  46. Father, anoint me to speak Your word and let those that hear,

  47. let them hear Your word in Jesus name, Amen.

  48. God is a God of miracles and that's what I want to talk to

  49. you all a little bit about tonight is miracles.

  50. We're going to talk about some miracles now.

  51. You know what constitutes a miracle?

  52. According to Google, it says it is an extraordinary supernatural

  53. event, sign or wonder that defies natural law and is

  54. directly attributed to God's power.

  55. Amen. That's a miracle.

  56. And we tend to throw that word around and use that word a lot,

  57. especially when we're confronted with bad news, especially when

  58. things seem dark and it looks like hopeless situations are

  59. happening, whether it's physical, financial, whatever

  60. the situation is and it looks bad for us, we want a miracle.

  61. I'm believing for a miracle for our son.

  62. So he's stage 4 cancer. The end of October they

  63. diagnosed him. Healthy guy, always been

  64. healthy, the healthiest one of the whole family.

  65. And it's in his brain, it's in his lungs, it's in his lymph

  66. nodes and, and in his muscles. But God, God is able and he's

  67. had radiation, no side effects. He did have a blood clot, but

  68. they got that taken care of and now he started chemo.

  69. Chemo, no side effects praise God for that that's the Lord

  70. because you know everybody's all nervous about that and and he's

  71. still working he's working from home but he's still working and

  72. he's believing that God is able God is going to heal him.

  73. He says if he heals me here, I'm here and I'm healed.

  74. If he takes me home, I'm healed. And that's his attitude.

  75. And praise God for that attitude.

  76. Cause about six years ago he didn't have that attitude.

  77. It was a whole nother attitude he had.

  78. But about four years ago he found the Lord.

  79. He's been walking with the Lord ever since and he prays and

  80. testifies and all that good stuff.

  81. So God's timing is not necessarily our timing.

  82. We could have a better time with this Lord, but it is what it is.

  83. But God is able. God is able to do a miracle.

  84. And I've said that I throw that word around.

  85. I'm believing God for a miracle, you know, and I think we could

  86. probably all say we've thrown that word miracle around.

  87. We're believing God for miracles, especially when things

  88. get bad. Miracles aren't just random

  89. happenings or wonders. They're they're intended as a

  90. sign to point to God's authority and to his presence.

  91. God is presence in the present, in the middle of miracles.

  92. And you know, we always declare we need a miracle.

  93. Well, sometimes we're going to talk about a couple of guys here

  94. that needed miracles, but they didn't go around saying I'm

  95. declaring a miracle. You know, God's Word is full of

  96. miraculous events. I mean, from the beginning to

  97. the very end, God's Word is full of those events.

  98. And however, the thing with miracles is they always seem to

  99. come in a dark time. Have you noticed they're paired

  100. up with with a dark day or a terrible event or something?

  101. That's not what we want. It appears that miracles and

  102. midnight kind of go hand in hand.

  103. And in the middle of our darkest hour, in the darkest time, we

  104. want a wonder, unexplainable event to happen.

  105. And we're looking for that. So exactly how do we get a

  106. miracle? Well, glad you asked.

  107. I'm going to talk to you about a couple of guys that got some

  108. miracles and like I said, it's all through scripture, but I

  109. just going to pick out a couple acts 16 and 25.

  110. If you want to turn there you can.

  111. If you don't, you don't. It's OK because I've got a few

  112. more acts versus we're going to. But Acts 16 and 25, it says.

  113. But at midnight, Paul and Silas, you're probably all very

  114. familiar with this. We're praying and singing hymns

  115. to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.

  116. Suddenly there was a great earthquake quake, so that the

  117. foundations of the prison were shaken.

  118. And immediately all the doors were open and everybody's chains

  119. fell off. We're loosed my version on their

  120. way to a prayer meeting that morning, Paul and Silas, they

  121. probably never expected to wind up in prison, in a stinky

  122. prison, chained up. Nonetheless, not only chained up

  123. in a stinky, smelly prison, they were beaten.

  124. They had been beaten and and it was a bad day and they didn't

  125. expect that when they were going to prayer meeting.

  126. We might learn something from this, but nevertheless, when the

  127. clock struck midnight, they were in chains, battered, bloody,

  128. because they had rebuked a woman, a demon out of a woman.

  129. That's all they did. Woman was going around, you can

  130. look the story up. Woman was going around saying,

  131. oh, these are men of God. And every time they started to

  132. speak and preach, this woman would pop up and start

  133. hollering, oh, these are men of God.

  134. These are men of God interrupting what they were

  135. trying to do. So they turned around and

  136. rebuked her. The demon had to leave and the

  137. guys that were making money off of her demon didn't like it.

  138. So they went to the authorities that be and they said do

  139. something with these guys. So they did.

  140. They beat him up, threw him in prison.

  141. They were probably unable to sleep because of the pain and

  142. the awkward position. Can you imagine being chained

  143. up, not being able to roll over or anything like that?

  144. But Paul and Silas chose to praise and pray instead of doubt

  145. and pout. So that was their thing they

  146. chose to do. And as they sang praises from a

  147. hopeless situation, from a prison cell, something began to

  148. happen in the heavenlies. Now I'm going to give this

  149. scripture to you. You don't have to turn here.

  150. But in Zephaniah 3 and 17 it says, the Lord your God, in your

  151. midst, the mighty One will serve, will save, He will

  152. rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with his love,

  153. and he will rejoice over you with singing.

  154. What? Wait, God sings, Yes, he sings

  155. over you. He's he's quieting you with his

  156. love to me, that's such a mother I see.

  157. He's quieting you. He's rejoicing over you and he's

  158. loving on you and he's singing over you.

  159. Imagine, if you will, Paul and Silas in prison and they're

  160. starting to sing and they're praying and singing and

  161. worshiping the Lord and sitting in the throne of heaven while

  162. resting his feet on the foot still of the earth.

  163. If you just give me a, let me have some leeway here.

  164. God begins tapping his foot to the song they're singing and

  165. he's hearing them sing their song.

  166. And when God starts singing, things start happening.

  167. Earthquakes start happening, Deliverance comes and God's

  168. singing over you the whole time while you're worshiping God,

  169. he's worshiping too. He's singing over you.

  170. So praise releases God's power, and prison doors are no match

  171. for Him. I want you to think about this,

  172. and I don't want you to imagine and think that I'm just talking

  173. about the physical prison. There's a lot of different kinds

  174. of prisons that people need to be delivered from.

  175. So there's a lot of things that's happening in your life

  176. that maybe there's needs to be a little deliverance.

  177. Maybe I don't know what it is, but there's things.

  178. But when we start praising God, God's power is released and

  179. those prison doors of deliverance can and will be

  180. open. It seems every time God opens a

  181. prison door and acts, it was in the middle of the night.

  182. Now another story, and this is I love this story.

  183. I wish they'd make a movie of it.

  184. They may have, may do, I don't know.

  185. Acts chapter 5 verse start with verse 17.

    Acts 5 chapter mention

  186. We're going to read it and we're going to go all the way through

  187. it. Acts 517, it says.

  188. Then the high priest rose up, and all those who were with him,

  189. which is the sect of the Sadducees, and they were filled

  190. with indignation, laid hands on the apostles, and put them in

  191. common prison. But at night an Angel of the

  192. Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out and said, Go

  193. stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this

  194. life. Now the devil thought that he

  195. had finished the revival. Thank you, brother.

  196. Awesomeness. The devil thought he had quieted

  197. down the little revival that was going on 'cause they were

  198. preaching. They were in the these guys at

  199. this point. They were standing in the middle

  200. of the street preaching. They didn't like it.

  201. Sad, you see. Sit, shut them up, lock the

  202. preachers, throw away the key, but God owns the key to all your

  203. prisons, all your problems. God owns the keys to all of

  204. that. We just sang beautiful songs

  205. about how God loves us and how we love him and he never fails

  206. us. He's always with us.

  207. We sing that, we hear that, but He does that.

  208. Verse 21 And when they heard that, they being the same guys

  209. that was in the prison, when they heard what the Angel said,

  210. this is what this is saying. The Angel told them says go

  211. stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this

  212. life. And when they heard that what

  213. the Angel told them, the same disciples entered the temple

  214. early in the morning and taught, but the high priest and those

  215. with him came and called the council together with all the

  216. elders and children of Israel and sent to the prison to have

  217. them brought. So the high priest, he was going

  218. to have a trial. He was going to bring them to

  219. justice. He was going to shut them down,

  220. quiet them up, stop their preaching.

  221. It's so funny though. But verse 22, when the officers

  222. came and did not find them in prison, they returned and

  223. reported saying, indeed, we found the prison shut securely

  224. and the guards standing outside before the doors.

  225. But when we opened them, we found nobody inside.

  226. I love that. That's just hysterical.

  227. And now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and

  228. the chief priest heard these things, they wondered what the

  229. outcome would be. So no one, oh, sorry.

  230. So one came and told them saying the men you put in prison are

  231. standing in the temple and teaching the people in the hell.

  232. I just felt, well, I've got a warped sense of humor, but I

  233. think it's funny. I mean, here they are the high

  234. priest going to shut them down for for preaching to the people.

  235. They throw them in prison and the Angel comes in.

  236. Boom, they're out. He even shuts the door and lets

  237. it locks it back. It's funny.

  238. And then the power that be he says, go get them, break them

  239. here, make them stand in front of us.

  240. And the guard goes door was locked, but nobody in there.

  241. I love it. God has a great sense of humor.

  242. Don't you think that God has a here the the big macho soldiers

  243. standing outside the prison thumping their chests, rattling

  244. their swords and flexing their muscles, probably talking about

  245. what they would do to those apostles and the disciples

  246. talking about them. And you know, I mean, I know if

  247. y'all watched movies that like that and if they tried any funny

  248. business, they were going to do this, that and the other thing

  249. to them. And all the while the cell was

  250. empty. God is a great God.

  251. He is such a wonderful sense of humor.

  252. But that was a miracle. That was a miracle.

  253. Not necessarily what we consider today as a miracle, but that was

  254. a miracle. It reminds me of another story.

  255. Remember the story where the women went to the tomb and it

  256. was still dark outside and they went to the tomb.

  257. The high priest had posted all his guards.

  258. All his guard was posted outside the tomb.

  259. They sealed the the the stone in front of the tomb.

  260. They did all of that stuff. But when she got there, the tomb

  261. was empty. God, That's God.

  262. There is no spiritual prison cell that can hold you down.

  263. That ain't no grave going to hold this body down.

  264. Period. You know, we just need to

  265. understand that, that no spiritual prison cell can hold

  266. you back. I've talked to somebody and they

  267. say I feel like I'm a prisoner in my own home.

  268. I pace the floors like a wild animal because I'm afraid to get

  269. out of the house. That's a prison.

  270. But that God, God can deliver them from that.

  271. God is able to do that thing. And did they, what did they?

  272. I mean, they sang and prayed, huh?

  273. That's all they did. They didn't jump through hoops.

  274. They didn't run around screaming.

  275. They just sang in praise, worship God.

  276. They wasn't even threatening to. I'll get you when we get out of

  277. here. You know how people do that, you

  278. know, and prisoners, you've seen those prison stories.

  279. Romans 831 tells us a different story.

  280. It says when they, when, What then shall we say to these

  281. things? The stuff that happens to you,

  282. it's what he's talking about, the stuff that's happening in

  283. your life. What are you going to say to

  284. these things? If God is for us, who can be

  285. against us? Exactly.

  286. These are the things that you need to say when the enemy is

  287. trying to keep you caged up, trying to keep you in that habit

  288. that you have, trying to keep you caged up from whatever life

  289. wants to give you. What if God's for me, who can be

  290. against me? He who did not spare his own

  291. son, but deliver him up for us all, how shall he not with him

  292. also freely give us all things? He will deliver you.

  293. Who shall bring a charge against God's elect?

  294. I love that verse. Who's going to bring a charge

  295. against God's elect? That always takes me back to

  296. Revelation and Tribulation time. We as Christians, and I wasn't

  297. going to say this, but I'm saying it as Christians, we kind

  298. of get scared when we start talking about tribulation.

  299. It's gonna be bad. It's gonna be bad.

  300. But God tells us in his Scripture and Revelation that

  301. he's got us sealed up. He's got us sealed.

  302. And then this Scripture says who shall bring a charge against US,

  303. against God's elect And, and Scripture says that his elect,

  304. you can't touch him during that time.

  305. Look it up. I taught you all on it here a

  306. while back. God's elect, he said I got them

  307. sealed up and nobody's going to bring a charge against it.

  308. It is God who justifies, who is he who condemns It is Christ who

  309. died and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right

  310. hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

  311. So we've got Jesus praying for us, whom shall separate us from

  312. the love of Christ. Shall tribulation, shall

  313. distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, sword.

  314. So nothing as it is written for your sake.

  315. We are killed all day long. We are counted as sheep for the

  316. slaughter. Yet in all these things we are

  317. more than conquerors through him who loved us.

  318. We need to understand that when we're in a situation and it

  319. seems horrible, horrible, horrible situation, and you go,

  320. go to Romans 31, tell the devil that, tell him that.

  321. You know, I want to encourage you tonight.

  322. God can take the key to your prison cell and he can send an

  323. Angel right there in the middle of the night to you for

  324. deliverance. I don't know who this is for.

  325. I had somebody in mind. I always do when I'm doing a

  326. message, I always have somebody in mind and they never show up.

  327. That's just how it works. But God has the key to your

  328. prison cell, so I know this is for somebody.

  329. And if the Angel of the Lord shows up in the middle of your

  330. prison cell, let him bring you out.

  331. Don't hold on to the doors of that prison.

  332. Who would do that? People do it all the time.

  333. They're afraid. They don't know how to live

  334. without being in that environment, in that prison,

  335. whatever that may be for whoever it's let them bring you out.

  336. Don't hold on to the door. Well, I won't out, but I don't

  337. want to let go, Bob says. I shouldn't roll my eyes, but I

  338. do. Sometimes we get to liking the

  339. prison that we're in. People like, they like the

  340. attention. Oh, poor thing.

  341. They like the anguish. It makes them feel comfortable

  342. because that's all I've known. They don't know any different.

  343. They like the they like the whining.

  344. They like it. It makes them feel comfortable.

  345. So when the Angel of the Lord comes to deliver you out of this

  346. situation, don't go back in it. Don't go back there.

  347. That's what God's trying to tell us here in Acts 12, one through

  348. 616. We're going to read all of that,

  349. but it's another account of a miraculous midnight prison

  350. breakout. Passover King Herod had just

  351. killed James, and he had Peter in jail so he could kill him

  352. next. That was the intent of Herod's

  353. heart. He was going to kill them both

  354. because they were preaching the gospel.

  355. Now I'm going to open my Bible because I didn't write it down.

  356. I didn't cheat. Take me a minute.

  357. Acts 12. That's what I said, right?

  358. Keep me on my toes one through 16 since now after that time,

  359. Herod the king stretched out his hand to harass some from the

  360. church. Any any of that going on today?

  361. Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword, and

  362. because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further

  363. to seize Peter also. Now it was during the Days of

  364. Unleavened Bread, Passover is what it was.

  365. So when he had arrested them him, he put him in prison and

  366. delivered him to the four squads of soldiers to keep him in

  367. tending, to bring him before the people after the holiday, Easter

  368. time, we call it Passover. Peter was therefore kept in

  369. prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the

  370. church man. We had a great little prayer

  371. meeting Sunday night. Here we was praying for our

  372. sisters, more than one. We prayed for candy, we prayed

  373. for Miss Linda, we prayed for several other people, constant

  374. prayer by the church. And when Herod was about to

  375. bring him out that night Peter was sleeping so funny with two

  376. chains between two soldiers, and the guards before the door were

  377. keeping the prison. Now behold, an Angel of the Lord

  378. stood by him, and a light shone in the prison, and he struck

  379. Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, Arise quickly, get

  380. up man. And his chains fell off his

  381. hands. And then he the Angel said to

  382. him, get your clothes on, gird yourself and tie on your

  383. sandals. So he did and he said to him,

  384. put on your garment and follow me.

  385. So he went out and followed him and did not know that what was

  386. done by the Angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision.

  387. When they were past the 1st and 2nd guard post, they came to the

  388. iron gate that leads to the city which opened for them, went out

  389. into the town, and when they went out and went down the

  390. street, and immediately the Angel departed.

  391. And when Peter had come to himself, he said, Now I know for

  392. certain that the Lord has Cynthia's Angel, and had

  393. delivered me from the hand of the Herod and from the

  394. expectations of the Jewish people.

  395. So when he had considered this, he came to the House of Mary,

  396. the mother of John, whose surname was Mark, where many

  397. were gathered together praying. And as Peter knocked on the

  398. door, knocking on the door of the gate, a girl named Rhoda

  399. came to answer. When she recognized Peter's

  400. voice because of her gladness, she did not open the gate, but

  401. ran in and announced that Peter stood before the gate.

  402. But they said to her, You're beside yourself, girl.

  403. Yet she kept insisting that it was so.

  404. So they said it is his Angel. Now Peter continued knocking,

  405. and when they opened the door, they saw him and they were

  406. astonished in this crazy. They prayed for Peter's

  407. deliverance, they prayed for healing, they prayed for

  408. deliverance. They prayed for lots of

  409. different things. And when you get the miracle,

  410. the miracle is like, maybe not, maybe not, maybe that wasn't

  411. God. But prayer is the other

  412. ingredient. Praise and prayer are the two

  413. ingredients that it takes to receive miracles.

  414. OK, Faith, prayer and praise. OK.

  415. Paul and Silas prayed and saying praises to God.

  416. Peter was asleep while somebody else was praying for him.

  417. I love that image. You know he was he was chained

  418. between two big old guards and two were outside the gate.

  419. Herod wasn't making any taking any chances this time.

  420. He's going. I want, I want to make sure he's

  421. there. He's not getting away this time.

  422. So he didn't want an Angel to outsmart him.

  423. So inside and outside he was had.

  424. Guards everywhere. But soldiers and sails are no

  425. match for God. There's nothing too big for our

  426. God, period. Here comes the Angel of the Lord

  427. again. The Angel turned the light on.

  428. It said that light came on and Peter was sleeping so soundly he

  429. didn't even move. I love that he was confident in

  430. God. That's what he was.

  431. He was confident. The Angel had to nudge Peter to

  432. wake him up. Hurry up, get your clothes on.

  433. Get your shoes on, man. We're going to get out of here.

  434. And he's like, OK, OK. Can you imagine being woken up

  435. like that Angel nudging you? He was so calm and had so much

  436. confidence in God that he went to sleep snoring away and he

  437. walked along following the Angel.

  438. He thought the situation was a dream or something.

  439. And all of a sudden he looked up and realized he was at the House

  440. of Mary, the mother of John Mark.

  441. And he heard the prayer meeting going on.

  442. He heard what was happening in the house and he decided he'd go

  443. in and say I'm out. God delivered and they go, I

  444. don't know. Is that you?

  445. Not really you. So you know the prayer warriors

  446. praying and groaning for Peter and when God does this midnight

  447. miracle, they don't even believe it.

  448. Sometimes people are like that. We are so quick to believe the

  449. negative but we need proof to believe the positive.

  450. I've got a situation. I'll share some dirty laundry

  451. with you. I don't know any of y'all's

  452. dirty laundry yet so y'all need to help me out with that.

  453. We had a son who had done some bad stuff and was on his way to

  454. prison for a while good while and Bob and his ex-wife and

  455. stepfather, Ryan's stepfather, they were going to court.

  456. They were driving their way and they were talking about the

  457. situation, how bad it was, how horrible it was.

  458. And then the stepfather, he was not when father-in-law, he said,

  459. well, unless you know somebody higher up, you know, looks like

  460. he's going to come down for a while.

  461. It triggered Bob. You go.

  462. I just happen to know. So they went into the they went

  463. into the courtroom waiting their turn.

  464. They had this woman in there and she was persecuting this poor

  465. guy that was there. It was a court appointed

  466. attorney. And so they were just, you know,

  467. reaming him in out one side down the other.

  468. So then they said it would be at least three to six months first

  469. backup, three to six months. He'd be in jail before his his

  470. trial. He ever went to court date.

  471. We prayed it was like 2 weeks, just all of a sudden his, his

  472. documents fell on top of the judge's desk.

  473. God. And so we're Bob's sitting there

  474. and he said the his, his ex-wife and and Ryan's stepfather was

  475. sitting on one end of the bench. And Bob said, I'm down here all

  476. by myself and he said, I'm praying and he says, God, your

  477. word tells me you won't put no more on me than I can bear.

  478. And I don't think I can bear to see my son persecuted like this.

  479. I can't see bear to see my son taken to jail and going to

  480. prison for like this. I can't bear it.

  481. All of a sudden there's a knock on the door and the little court

  482. appointed attorney, she said come back at 3:00 and take him

  483. home. That's God.

  484. That was a miracle. I had to share that with you

  485. because miracles, we always think of healing when we see

  486. miracles. God is able to do exceedingly

  487. and abundantly more than we could think of and ask, don't

  488. y'all think any worse about me, about my boy, 'cause it's the

  489. same boy that was stage 4 cancer and now he's serving God.

  490. So don't y'all dare say anything negative about that, my boy.

  491. But Hezekiah was one of those people.

  492. If you look at the I don't, you don't have to turn there, But in

  493. the book of Hezekiah, he believed that he was going to

  494. die without a miracle, without any sign or anything.

  495. He was told you're going to die and then he would say, well,

  496. you're not going to die. And he says, well, I'm not going

  497. to believe that until the, the the sundial moves back 10° and

  498. then I'll believe that I'll be healed.

  499. So it didn't take anything for him to believe that he was going

  500. to die, but he had to have a miracle to believe he was going

  501. to live. We are just like that.

  502. We worry and we walk the floors and we pace the floors and we

  503. cry out to God and we forget that we have he is in control.

  504. God is in control. You may be in a dark prison cell

  505. and think that God has forgotten all about you.

  506. In fact, you may be really familiar with that prison cell

  507. because you've been in there a while.

  508. Maybe you've been there a little while and made a little nest

  509. over here and kind of get a little comfortable with it.

  510. No, but I have come to tell you that God is going to turn a

  511. light on. So wake up, get dressed, put

  512. your shoes on. God is going to deliver you.

  513. He's going to get you out of that prison, whatever it may be.

  514. He's going to get you out. God likes to show up when it's

  515. in the darkest time. God's not afraid of the dark.

  516. He's just not at the stroke of 12 in your life.

  517. Remember, remember the words look at your Bible read the word

  518. of God. A a good one to read is is

  519. Psalms 1/19/62. I wrote it down here at

  520. midnight. I will rise and give thanks to

  521. you because you're righteous judgement.

  522. Another one that we can remember and when the enemy comes in and

  523. it looks like you're in a dark hole, like you're in a really

  524. dark place, is Psalms 139 and seven.

  525. Y'all know this? I'm going to let you think about

  526. it. Sorry.

  527. Where can I go from your spirit? Where can I flee from your

  528. presence? We just sing about that.

  529. If I sin to heaven, you're there.

  530. If I make my bed in hell, behold, you are there, the

  531. psalmist talking to God, you're there.

  532. I can't get away from you, God. If I take the wings of the

  533. morning and dwell into the uttermost parts of the sea, even

  534. there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold

  535. me. This is God holding you.

  536. This is God, the miracle working God.

  537. If I say, surely the darkness shall fall on me, even the night

  538. shall be light to me. I love that part.

  539. Indeed. The darkness shall not hide from

  540. you. But the night shines as day.

  541. The darkness and the light are both alike to you, God, dark

  542. doesn't mean anything to God. It's us we think about.

  543. Oh, I don't know. I don't know.

  544. I don't know what to do. I want to, I don't want to name

  545. off anything but what the things that people do sometimes and

  546. they're just, I don't know what to do.

  547. I don't know what to do. You know, God's just going to

  548. leave me alone. He's just, he's got me in this

  549. situation. It looks bad.

  550. It looks bad, brother looks bad. Can't, can't snap my finger.

  551. Thank y'all but God. But God steps on the scene, he

  552. sends an Angel, he's tapping his foot, you're praising God and

  553. God is up there tapping his foot.

  554. Earthquake is going to come and he's going to break the chains.

  555. That's got you bound. I love that picture, that image

  556. that you see when you see read that scripture and God is just

  557. singing over you and he's tapping his foot and you know,

  558. earthquakes happening, chains fall off.

  559. And I let Peter was so confident in God that he was snoring.

  560. Angel had to go. Hey, you, hey, hey, wake up.

  561. I got it's chews on, it's clothes on.

  562. We're out of here. Isn't that a great image?

  563. A miracle nonetheless. When God does a miracle, we need

  564. to understand that it might not look like we think it's going to

  565. look, but it's going to be a miracle nonetheless.

  566. So, you know, in the middle of the night, instead of agonizing

  567. over the problem, we need to remind ourselves that God is in

  568. control. Lift our praises to the Lord,

  569. you know, from the lowest part of whatever prison we have.

  570. Kids sick? Lift your praises to God.

  571. Lost your job? Lift your praises to God.

  572. Financial problems, Nothing for God.

  573. There's nothing too big for my God.

  574. No, no, no, no. I used to work with service,

  575. with that every time, everything we'd pray.

  576. And do you believe it? Yes.

  577. People healed, people delivered, people saved.

  578. God is going to rejoice with you when he starts singing Lookout.

  579. An unexpected supernatural event is going to take place, and it

  580. may have an earthquake involved. Foundations will be shaking.

  581. Prison doors are going to fly open.

  582. All of these things are going to happen.

  583. Chains loose. If you need a miracle, it might

  584. just happen at midnight. All is lost.

  585. You might be saying tonight, like Psalms 32.

  586. You are my hiding place. You will preserve me from

  587. trouble. You shall surround me with the

  588. song of deliverance. Selah The.

  589. Word Selah means. Think about it.

  590. That's what he's saying he's saying.

  591. Think about that in my words. God, you are my hiding place.

  592. God, you preserve me from the trouble.

  593. Lord, you surround me with songs of deliverance.

  594. So when we need a miracle, we just praise God.

  595. If you can't think of a song to sing, open up psalms.

  596. Sing one of those out. Keep looking because miracles

  597. happen usually around the time it's darkest, usually at the

  598. darkest time. I just wanted to encourage

  599. y'all. I don't know who's going through

  600. stuff. I know we are.

  601. Everybody is everybody. Stuff happens but God.

  602. But God, God was able to deliver.

  603. He's able to make a way. Whether I'm in chains and

  604. there's a guard on each side of me and there's guards outside

  605. the door and the Angel has to come and wake you up.

  606. And then they go in and. Where's that prisoner I?

  607. Hate to tell you but. He's gone.

  608. Can you imagine? Would you like to answer to the

  609. Herod about I love God's sense of humor, and He has a sense of

  610. humor when He does miracles. Those were miracles.

  611. I mean, we think of all the miracles when Jesus walked in

  612. and from Galilee and he sends the word and heals the the man's

  613. son. He just spoke the word and he

  614. says, go on, go home. Your son's, your son's alive.

  615. He touches the casket as the funeral possession goes by and

  616. the woman is like, you know, weeping her guts out, sorry,

  617. weeping her guts out. She just lost her baby.

  618. He's in the casket. They're walking to the cemetery

  619. and God just walks by and touches and says get up boy, my

  620. version get up and he gets out of the casket.

  621. Miracles happen all the time. We are a miracle.

  622. Your. Salvation.

  623. Is the. Greatest miracle?

  624. Of all can take a low down. Sorry, no good.

  625. I'm talking about me. No good person.

  626. Done a lot of stupid. Stuff and God will turn you

  627. around and next. Thing you know you're preaching.

  628. His word. This is a miracle.

  629. This is a miracle. That's God.

  630. That's a miracle right there. My brother, He's a miracle.

  631. Sorry, he's. A miracle, you're all.

  632. Miracles. But God, brother, you're a

  633. miracle. You're alive.

  634. You've been shot. How many times?

  635. Three times shot. What's it called?

  636. Ricocheted in his body. Miracles.

  637. We need to. Give God more glory.

  638. For the miracles, that's why we praise him and worship him.

  639. And I'll stop, I'm done. Let's stand and we'll we'll be

  640. dismissed. But think about it.

  641. Prayer and praise is what gives you miracles.

  642. That's what they did. And in the middle of the night,

  643. God shows up and he shows out. That's Godfather.

  644. We thank you for your word. We thank you that you encourage

  645. us through your word that even though it may look dark, Lord,

  646. that you're already going before us, that you can turn the light

  647. on in the darkest moment, Lord. And I thank you for that.

  648. Thanks for listening to the Cross.
