Jesus victory over satan

Preached on a lot of this stuff for over the years and you may

have been here you may have not you know a preached series and

sometimes very few make it through 3/4.

I'm not kidding I've watched I know I see things and so I have

to back up to finish series because and it's you know it's

not I'm not saying that bad. Some people are called out in

the ministry they they're not here and every Sunday or

Wednesday. But that's why I don't do a lot

of series but I did some of this stuff back in 20 during COVID

and crowds were live tonight. It's a little light spring break

going on, I guess too, but I preached on the present day

ministry of Jesus and that's that's that's kind of an easy

one. We know what the present day

ministry is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to to a lost and

dying world. The present day ministry is is

kind of left up to the church today and the people attending

the church and those that tend to venture out the doors of the

church. It's the present day ministry of

spreading the gospel, but social media does a lot of that today.

It's done a lot different than it was in years past.

And the second part of this series I preached was the

reality. And I preached this quite often,

pretty much every Sunday, the reality of the authority of the

name of Jesus. And we stayed on that for a few

weeks. But when you realize that there

there is a reality that Jesus does have the authority because

it was given to him upon this earth when he conquered sin,

death, hell in the grave. There was a great authority that

was put on his name. And it is a reality in our life

as we become a believer that we can, that we can look to the

reality of the authority of the name of Jesus.

And the third thing I preached on that and I best, I remember

there wasn't a whole lot here. And I just was digging through

some things this week and found this.

And the third part of that series I preached on was Jesus

victory over Satan. I want to look at this tonight,

Jesus victory over Satan. When you look around our world

and our country and bring it on down to our state, bring it on

down to our church, bring it on down to our schools, bring it on

down to our home, sometimes it doesn't look like a lot of

people have victory over Satan. See, Satan was the reason for

redemption. Satan was the reason that there

had to be a redemptive plan. Without Satan being defeated, we

would not be redeemed. As early as Genesis chapter 3,

we read about it and you can turn there.

You can read about it when you get home.

But there was something that happened that turned the whole

course of mankind for all time while up on planet Earth.

What? How many know what happened?

Mankind, womankind, however you choose to say it, there's

something that happened right there in Genesis chapter 3.

The enemy did something called deceived.

He deceived Eve, right? He deceived her.

He deception entered in and I want to look at this.

See, my belief is that the devil can deceive you.

There's no doubt he can deceive you.

We see this through television ads.

We threat see this through music.

We see this through drugs and alcohol, sexual immorality.

The devil can deceive you. We've all at some time or

another, been deceived by the devil.

We thought that that what the world had to offer or what

someone had to offer us was better than what God had to

offer us. So we were deceived into acting

upon what He was, what He was doing in our mind, which was

deceiving us. That's what happened to Eve.

That's what that's what happened to the fall of man.

But write this down. My belief is the devil can

deceive you. We know what can happen, but I

don't think he can make us do anything.

Hello. You ever had a teenage kid?

I mean, there comes a point you can make them do some things,

but there comes a point they just look at you and you realize

that, hey, to make the OR an employee, I can make them do

this, but it's going to take some force.

I recall what Randy said one time.

His daughter didn't think grinding it was too bad from her

car. So he took the keys and he taped

them to the ceiling fan that hung down over the kitchen

table. So every meal he put it on low

and she had to watch them ceiling fans go around with the

keys on them To remind her that hey, I still got a little bit of

authority, right? To remind her that, hey, I can

still stop some things in your life.

But see, there comes a time and it's this way in the spiritual

realm. You can't make people do

anything. You can preach them the gospel.

You those saying you can lead a horse, help me in the water, but

you can't make him drink, right? But my belief is the devil can't

can deceive you, but he can't really make you do anything.

And I, I get tired of people saying, well, the devil made me.

No, he didn't. You were deceived.

You believe the lie of the enemy because he's the author of lies.

He's a liar. He's the author of what

confusion. And when you believe the lie,

you get confused, you become deceived, right?

And and he can make things in this life look so good and

convince your mind that you can't live without it.

And yes, you will act up on it. So when we look at this, it's a

three fold thing over Satan. It's a three fold thing.

And I want to look at this third thing tonight.

We have the present day ministry of Jesus.

We have the reality of the authority of his name, but we

have victory over Satan through Jesus.

See the first way God chose to defeat Satan, the very first way

he had He had a, a, a spiritual being on planet earth that

people could not see that had came from heaven.

He had came from the throne room of God.

He was a he was a different type of spirit that probably God had

ever seen because he had blessed him to lead worship in heaven.

He was in heaven. He was in the presence of God.

He knew how God thought. He knew how God reacted.

He had he's been in the very present ever thought about that

in the very presence of God and yet he wanted to become like God

and God seen pride in heaven. He said pride cannot exist where

I'm at. So he cast him down and all

those that were he was trying to get in his little occult and he

cast them down to planet earth and there was fallen angels and

there was a lot of them. But the first way God chose to

defeat him and redeem him was where.

And you know, when I think about this, if I would have been God,

I am not God, but had I have been God, I think I would have

spoke and defeated Satan. And it's, and it's pretty

interesting to see how God did this because God could have

attacked Satan in the spirit realm because he could turn

water into wine. He could part the Red Sea.

He can make a staff, turn into a rod, turn into a snake.

God could do a lot of neat stuff, but he could have just

spoke at any time and Satan would have been wiped out.

God did not do it that way. Ever wondered why?

I've often wondered why he chose to come down to planet that to

the planet earth that he created and defeat him with the only

begotten Son on his own turf. That whosoever believes in him

can be born again and have eternal life and have it more

abundantly. So the first place that God

defeated Satan, and this was just ironic to me when I was

studying this out was with something that you and I fell

with every day, an earthly walk. We can say he defeated him with

Jesus. And that's true.

Jesus came as God in form of a man, the planet earth, right?

But what defeated Satan, the way that Jesus walked this earth for

33 1/2 years is what defeated Satan.

He had a mission to accomplish when he was here.

And and it's a type and shadow of what God has called his

children, Christians to do. And yet we fail miserably

because we're too worried about getting saved and just going to

heaven. And we don't even occupy come on

somebody until he comes, much less do anything for the Kingdom

and begin to open the blinded eyes and do the things that

Jesus did. But yet God chose to defeat

Satan with an earthly walk with a fleshly man, which Satan

tempted in every way, just as you and I are tempted, but was

without sin and got to sit down at the right hand of the Father.

I want to read a little bit of that.

I know we've read it before, but but it's it's, you know, it's

kind of like the ABC's. You forget the ABC's in your

life. What happened?

You forget how to read. You forget the ABC's in your

mind and you forget how to talk. So in in Luke chapter 4 it says

in verse one that Jesus being filled with the Holy Spirit, he

requires his believers to do this too.

In Acts you can read about it. He returned from the Jordan

after water baptism and he was led by the Spirit into the

wilderness. Being tempted for 40 days by the

devil. By the way, I'm preaching on 40

this Sunday. So you want to, you want to be

here. It's going to be a good one.

God, don't ever give it to me on Wednesday.

It's usually Saturday or Sunday. So I got to be, I got a week to

build on it. And in those days, he ate

nothing. And afterwards, when he was

hungry, You don't want to go to people when they're hungry.

They're vulnerable. They just want to eat.

They don't care about life. Many people, they don't care

about anything. When you get hungry, there's one

thing on your mind, Jerry, isn't it eating nothing else seems to

matter when you starve and especially if you hadn't had it

40 days. And the devil said to him, if

you are the Son of God, command these stones to become bread.

He could have done it. What a great miracle that would

have been. Look here, I'm going to feed

myself with these rocks. But yet he resisted that

temptation and Jesus answered him.

He said is written man shall not live by bread alone, but by

every word of God. You know, man has still not

figured that out. Then the devil, taking him up on

the high mountain, showed him all the kingdoms of the world at

a moment of time. And the devil said to him, All

this authority I will give you, and their glory.

For this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I

wish. Well, that's tough, isn't it?

A lot of the good. See, Devil can give you some

things that look good to the eyes and to the flesh.

Therefore, if you will worship before me, all will be yours.

And Jesus answered and he said to him, and I thought about that

he, Satan asked for worship. What was he asking for to bow

down? That's right.

He was asked just just bow down to me.

Just recognize me. Just give me a little time.

Just don't do anything for God and you begin to bow down to

Satan. And Jesus answered, he said, get

thee behind me. Anybody ever told Satan that Get

thee behind me, Get thee behind me, Satan?

For it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and

him only shall you serve. Then he brought him to

Jerusalem. He didn't stop there.

And he set him out on the pinnacle of the temple.

And he said to him, If you are the Son of God, throw yourself

down from here. For it is written, He shall give

his angels charge over you to keep you, and in their hands

they shall bear you up, bless you, dash your foot against a

stone. And Jesus answered, And he said

to him, It has been said, you shall not tempt the Lord to God.

Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed

from him until a uptream time, or for a season.

Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and

the news of Him went out through all the surrounding region, and

He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.

So see, the first way that He chose to fight Satan was with a

fleshly man with temptations that you and I face every day.

And as I was meditating on this today, I said, God, what do you

tell Him? The Holy Spirit spoke this.

Write this down because I believe it was from God.

We must stop dwelling in the carnality of the thought process

of the mind. Can I say that again?

We must stop dwelling in the carnality of the thought process

of the mind. What does that mean?

I said. I begin to look at that.

Do we dwell? When you dwell on something, it

means that you live there. It means that that is a part of

you. You live there.

You're now with it and you don't ever get away from it unless you

act upon it. And most people, it's the when

we say carnality, it is. It is fleshly desires.

It can be sexual immorality. It can be that the lust of the

eye can be all kinds. It's anything in the flesh.

It's carnal. We understand that.

So we must stop dwelling in the carnality of the thought process

of the mind. You know anybody like that,

before you say anything to them, you already know the series of

questions that you're going to have to answer because that is,

let's just call it their carnal DNA makeup.

The DNA that you see that, you know, is the nature of them that

they are going to react this way because they always do.

Hello, I'm on a ruffle some feathers now.

But you say something to them and you know exactly how they're

going to react. You know, you say, well, they

had a wreck. Did they get killed?

No, they were OK. Well, why was that?

They was OK. Yeah, they were OK.

But, well, you know, we we we say, well, I I seen somebody in

town and they was having a little.

Are they divorced? Are they having trouble?

We dwell in the carnality, right?

And see, Jesus didn't do this. He could have dwelled in the

car. Now he could have got hung up

on, wait a minute, I just come from heaven where God had all

this authority and I was sent to this earth.

And now I've met this man that says he's Satan, and it says

that he has authority over all the things I see to give them to

me, right? So he could have got hung up on

any of them things. But Jesus had learned not to

dwell in the carnality of the thought process.

If you're going to defeat Satan in this, in this earthly walk,

you're going to have to learn to not dwell in the carnality of

the thought process. Amen.

And I've been doing this a lot lately because as we go to the

doctors, we get different reports and, and things like

that. If you go to doctors, you're

going to get bad reports a lot of times.

But yet, you know the promises of God.

And I can't dwell in the carnality of that thought.

I have to turn my thought and say, OK, it may look like this

at what I'm hearing, but I, I know that God has never failed

me yet. And I know that God is supplying

a way out. And I look at that.

I look at the enemy, say God must have something good for my

life. Amen.

Anybody ever been to that place? I pray with people around these

altars. You couldn't even imagine the

place that you're at. But we just kept saying over and

over that God is going to bring me out of this and we see it.

What if God does see Jesus? He, he he went on and as he came

to Nazareth, where after he had done what I just preached to

you. We must stop dwelling in the

carnality. Why?

Because the Bible is very clear that life and death, blessing

and cursing is in the power of the tongue.

It's in within what we say. So we must stop dwelling in the

carnality of the thought process of the mind because the mind is

not always right. Anybody figured that out?

We rely on our mind too much. If we can read it and we can see

it in our mind's eye, we can confirm it on Google.

Then it becomes a part of us that's carnal.

We operate how in the spirit realm, that's how we overcome

those things. So look what Jesus did as he

went out because he had because he had overcome these things.

He went into the synagogues and verse 16 through 17 and and he

was handed the book of the book of the prophet Isaiah.

And he began to read this book and he said this, he said the

spirit of the Lord. Look how Jesus didn't think the

spirit of the Lord. See, there's something in these

first, first 15 verses that had happened.

The spirit of the enemy had come up on him because he was tempted

for 40 days, but he didn't talk about what he was tempted by.

He turned it around and he went to the synagogue and he said,

the spirit of the Lord is upon me.

Anybody ever feel like the spirit of the Lord is upon you?

You should if you're a Christian, but you're not going

to if you're dwelling in the carnal.

Well, this is good stuff. You're not going to if you're

dwelling in the carnality of the thought process of the mind.

You're not going to feel like the Spirit of the Lord is upon

you. You're going to feel like

negativity is upon you. You're going to feel like the

last word that somebody that went through what you're going

through has spoken to your spirit or your mind and you

begin to believe it. See, you must stop dwelling in

the carnality of the mind. Jesus did not do this and this

is how God defeated Satan was in the fleshly walk.

We can do it y'all. The Spirit of the Lord is upon

me because he is anointed me to do what?

To preach the gospel to the poor.

He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim

liberty to captives. You know, when, when we are sent

to heal the broken hearted and sometimes we don't do that

right. We tell them how broken we have

been and, and all the things that we have been through and

maybe God didn't come through for us.

No, we're to heal the broken hearted.

But if you're not walking in the spirit of the Lord and you have

not seen some victory, you can heal the broken hearted to

proclaim liberty to the captives to cover this side to the blind

to sit at liberty those who are oppressed to preach the

acceptable year of the Lord. Then he closed the book, he gave

it back to the tendant and he sat down.

What a message Jesus preached in the eyes of all who were in the

synagogue was fixed upon him and he began to say to them, today

the Scripture is fulfilled in you hearing.

But see Jesus walked this walk victoriously and I believe we

can too. I don't know why people want to

go around believing they can't. I want to believe I can.

Amen. I want to live every day that

God's got something great in store for me.

I believe we can walk through life without being addicted and

afflicted. Jesus did it.

I believe the blood that was shed by him on Calvary still

sets people free if they want free.

And Colossians 211 through 15. Let's let's read what this said.

This is a very powerful passage of scripture.

Why can we do this? Why can we walk through this

life victoriously? But I'm going to I'm going to

make a promise to you. If you don't stop dwelling in

the carnality of the thought process of the mind, you will

never be free spiritually, never.

It does not happen. They 2 can't coexist.

But in first in Colossians chapter 2 and verse 11, it says

Colossians 2 · chapter mention

in him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made

without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the

flesh, by the circumcision of Christ buried with Him in

baptism, in which you also were raised with him through faith in

the working of God, who raised him from the dead.

And you being dead in your trespasses and the

uncircumcision of your flesh, He made a live together with Him,

having forgiven you all your trespasses.

Aren't you glad of that having wiped out the handwriting

requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us,

And He has taken it out of the way.

Man, we are. Every morning you get up.

You ought to thank God that the old law is taken out of the way.

You'd to even profess Christ, you would have to get up and do

all these things. But he said that he has taken it

out of the way. Right here's the key.

Having nailed it to the cross, in a few weeks we'll celebrate

that. Having nailed it to the cross,

having disarmed the principalities and the powers,

he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in

it. So let no one judge you.

And he what goes on to talk about the food or drink, the new

moons, the Sabbath, which are shadow of things to come.

Let no one cheat you out of your reward, taking the light and

false humility and the worshipping of angels, intruding

into those things which has not seen vainly puffed up with the

fleshly mind. You can go on to read about that

later. In verse 20.

It says, therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic

principles of the world. This is a good question to ask

yourself. Why, as though living in the

world, do you subject yourself to regulations?

That's a whole nother message. But see, Jesus did this because

he was ordered by the father #2 why can't we walk victoriously?

Hebrews chapter 2, verse 14 and 15.

Hebrews 2:14

It says that we are released from bondage #2 there's victory

in the sacrifice. And what Jesus did at the cross,

I said there's victory in that. And as much then as the children

have partaken of flesh and blood, he, like He himself

likewise shared in the same, that through death He might

destroy him who had power of death.

That is the devil. See, there's victory in the

sacrifice. Galatians 220 goes on and says

that I have been crucified with Christ.

It is no longer who I who live, but it is Christ who lives

within me. See the life that I now live in

the flesh, I live through the Son of God who loved me and gave

his life for me. He said it.

That's why it's finished. So why does so many keep

fighting a fight that's already been won?

Because see, there's victory in the sacrifice.

Say that with me, there's victory in the sacrifice.

In Second Chronicles chapter 20, we read about this.

2 Chronicles 20 · chapter mention

There was a battle that was going on and I like the way that

this battle took place. It's I preached on it many

times. But in Second Chronicles chapter

2 Chronicles 20 · chapter mention

20 and verse 5, Jehoshaphat, he, he stood in the assembly of

Judah and Jerusalem in the House of the Lord before the new

court. He was going through a battle

with Amon and Mohab, and he said, Oh Lord our God, our

fathers, are you not God in heaven?

Do you not rule over the kingdoms of the nations?

And in your hand is there not power and might so that no one

is able to withstand you? Are you not not our God, who

drove out the inhabitants of Israel?

And he goes on over and he says, you and our affliction, and you

saved us. And you will hear and say, verse

11. It says, here they are.

They're rewarding us by coming to throw us out of your

possession, which you have given us to inherit.

They were living in a place that God had given them, but yet they

were coming to take it from them.

Just like the enemy does us when we're to live in life more

abundantly, when we're to live in the great things that God has

given us. The enemy does what he comes and

intrudes on us. For we have no power against

this great multitude that is coming against us, nor do we

know know what to do. But he says this.

He says our eyes are upon you key right there.

And he goes on down. He says, do not be afraid nor

dismayed because of this great multitude.

Anybody see a multitude, the church, if anybody should see a

multitude, that is against them. And we even have churches

joining in where churches are against churches now.

So there is a great multitude against us.

We must realize it. But he says do not be afraid nor

dismayed because this great multitude for the battle is not

yours, but God's man. That can take a lot of stress

off of you. You know, we we need to, we need

to. I'm telling you, the Lord just

give me that today. We got to quit dwelling in the

carnality of the thought process.

What a word. Because when we do, we take all

the battle upon us and it's a battle that you can't win anyway

without the power and the Spirit, Holy Spirit helping you,

right. So many Christians just keep

fighting this fight. He says do not be afraid nor

dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not

yours, but it's God. Tomorrow go down against them.

They will surely come up. I'm in verse 16.

They will surely come up by the ascent of Zeus, and you will

find them at the end of the brook before the wilderness,

Jerusalem. And then what he says here,

you're going to go down here, you're going to position

yourself. See, when I position myself, if

you were asked as a Christian tonight, how are you positioning

yourself? I wonder how many would answer

that. How do I position myself in the

onset of a battle? How do you position yourself?

What do you do? Well, some people say I pray

that's right, that's right, that's right.

Anybody else? How do you position yourself?

Praise a great way, but has anybody ever prayed and not seen

a result? We all have.

But see the difference in this battle.

He's listening. He said my eyes, he First off,

he took his eyes off the battle. He put his eyes on God.

We keep our eyes on the battle, and then we pray to God to fix

what our eyes are already upon. When what you're looking at is

not what God's got in mind anyway, right?

Why? Because we're looking at the

carnal. We're looking at what we what we

see, just like I talked about Sunday.

But when you realize that the battle's not yours, and you

realize that if you're living righteous and you're living for

God and you're living holy, there's another scripture that

says the steps of the righteous man are ordered of God.

So every step I take, I believe is ordered of God.

My life is not my own, but I've been crucified with Christ.

It's no longer I who live when I quit putting the carnality of my

thought process upon it. I become not afraid or dismayed

because of the multitude, because I realized the battle is

not mine. Hey, man, the battle is not

somebody in the battle is not mine.

My health is not in my hands tonight.

My health is not in the doctor's hands tonight.

I I know a lot of folks that walk in the doctor, they said

you got six months. They live 20 more years.

I know those people and you know what they what they'll all tell

you. I got my eyes off the doctor.

I got my eyes on God because my times are in his hands.

And then when you do that, he'll just give you some direction

when he knows your eyes up on him.

So you don't read of I wish there was accounts, but see the

great accounts of people that fought great battles and won

great battles in the Bible. We don't see the carnality of

the mind wrote about it doesn't say here that Jehoshaphat said

well, if I go down to the end of this Creek and I'll wait right

here to position myself, they're going to defeat me.

Those that God did great things that threw in the Bible, David

and all those people David had had committed adultery and

committed murder, but he kept fighting for God, right?

That's why God could use him because he kept fighting.

It wasn't about what he had done.

It was about what he would do for God.

Amen. Somebody needs that tonight.

It's not about what you've done. It's what you can do for God.

But see, he says here, he said just go position yourself by the

brook before the wilderness at Gerbil.

You'll not need to fight in this battle.

We're wore out from fighting. He said just position yourself

and stand still and see the salvation of the Lord who is

with you. I had somebody tell me when are

you going through some mess? You know, it don't seem like

it's affecting. It'll seem like you pray in a

better way. I said ain't my battle, It ain't

my battle. Had a guy come to me one time

Wednesday night. We had way less than here.

Oh, there's these many people leaving the chest.

It's not my battle, that's God's battle.

I preach what God's called me to and I live like God's called me

to live. I position myself in the

finished work of the of of what the Calvary and what Jesus did

and I can see the victory. Though it don't look like

victory, I can still see the victory, right?

You must see the victory to receive the victory.

Most Christians can't see past the fighting to the victory, so

they never get to to be a victory.

Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.

It's hard to do. It's hard to do something wrong

when you're standing still. I wish got to tell me to stand

still. Sometimes I don't hear that a

lot. You know, when you're preaching

and reaching, you don't hear the stand still a lot, but I have

heard it in fighting battles. It's hard to do wrong when you

stand still and be still and know that He is God.

Always pray, but remember the victory is in what Christ has

already done. It's a finished work at Calvary.

Y'all ready for #3 There's victory in the new creation.

There's victory in the new creation, what God has made

through you and I. There's victory through that

because we can look at the lies. I look around this, but I see

lives that are changed. There's victory in the new

creation that God has made. Ephesians 2 and 10.

It says for we are his. What workmanship created in

Christ Jesus for what for good works.

Ephesians 2 and 10, which God prepared beforehand that we

should walk in them. There's something here when you

quit, get out of the carnality of the mind and you begin to

operate in the things of the Spirit.

There's something that's prepared for us that were to

walk in. He says they for we're his

workmanship created. Let's read that created in

Christ Jesus for what? For good works, which God

prepared beforehand that we should do what?

Walk in them. So how do I walk in them?

Go to 2nd Corinthians 5 and seven.

How do I walk in the good works? Kind of confusing.

It's kind of hard to walk in good things when all you see is

bad, right? It's kind of hard, but that's

where you got to come out of the dwelling place.

We have the carnality of the mind. 2nd Corinthians 5 and

seven. Here's how you do it.

You walk by faith and not by sight.

Think about what you're hoping for.

You're hoping for healing, walking, healing.

You're hoping for blessing, walking, blessing.

Don't speak cursing in your life.

Amen. Anybody ever been broke?

Anybody ever been broke? I was in the rodeo business.

I've drive. I've been broke a lot of times,

but I have refused to ever speak broke because when I speak it, I

bring it on myself. I'm not broke.

I'm just headed to the next thing God's got for me.

I may not see it yet. And you know what He always

comes through, always comes through.

If I were to look at broker spoke broke when we when we

first started the church and bought a building on our own

without any any real support and stuff at first, I'd have been

done a long time ago. But see, God taught me way back

there in the rodeo business how to walk by faith and not by

sight. A man.

We walk by faith and not by sight. 5 and 17.

Let's go on. Let's read a little more of

that. I think verse 8, we are

confident, yes, well pleased to be absent from the body is to be

present with the Lord. That should calm all of our

fears right there, should calm them all.

And in five and 17 it says therefore, if anyone, let's go

to 5 and 17. Therefore, if anyone is in

Christ, He is a new creation. Well, this, this scripture here

just makes me sometimes go to squalling and bawling and trying

to figure my life out because if anyone is in Christ, he is a new

creation. Old things have passed away, old

things since I was 17 years old. I've been trying.

I'm not. I didn't say I've done it.

I didn't say I've succeeded everything I've tried in the

scripture, but I've kept trying. I've kept digging.

Even when I fail, I try harder. Amen.

To become this new creation that I read about, I try to let old

things pass away. And it takes a lot of years

because the world's always creating new things and new ways

to lure us in, right? And it talks about in the Bible

that there's created ways to pull us back into things that

we've never seen, to say they're being created everyday things

that can become sin in our life. But therefore, if anyone is in

Christ, say it with me. He's a new creation.

What's new about you? What's new about you today that

wasn't yesterday. There should be something new

every day, he said. My mercies are fresh and a new

every day. It's kind of like every day you

get out that knife and you begin to whittle on that old stick and

you're going to narrow it and strip everything down and make

it all shiny. But sometimes a knife gets dull.

That's why we have to go hear sermons like this, to sharpen

the knife, to remind us so that we can keep peeling the things

away. If anyone is in Christ, he's a

new creation. Behold, all things have become

new. There's victory in the new

creation. What is the new creation?

It's you and I, and we're to be absolute masters over everything

the enemy throws at us. I believe that I don't like to

have to be drilled in and learn how to defeat him.

We've been given the right to wear the whole armor of God.

Go home if you're struggling. Read Ephesians 6.

We've been given the right to do what to where the whole armor of

God. Read if you're struggling.

We have the nature of God dwelling within us.

But see, here's the cool thing. Satan never when I when I back

up to this three-step plan here I want to read them in closing

number one, he defeated Satan with earthly walk #2 there was

victory in the sacrifice and #3 there's victory in the new

creation. But back to what I said earlier.

Why didn't God just speak and destroy Satan been much easier

and just give us a good life. But Satan had never figured, see

when when they crucified Jesus as Satan never figured on having

to deal face to face with God himself when dealing with men

like Jesus. I don't think Satan never

thought God had that plan. He said, you know what?

I was with God and I failed. So all these humans are going to

fail. They're going to fall short of

the glory of God, which is true. But he had never planned on

dealing with Jesus. He didn't know God's redictive

plan. So when Satan deals with the new

creation, he's dealing with the third person of the Godhead, the

Holy Spirit filled child of God or a woman of God.

And as we close in Galatians 4 and six, it says because you are

sons of God, he has sent forth his spirit of his Son into your

hearts, crying out ABBA Father, therefore you are no longer what

a slave, but a son. And if a son and heir through

Jesus Christ, there's only one one place that Satan belongs in

the life of a child of God. Where's it at behind us and

actually under us are under our feet because there's victory in

the earthly walk. There's victory in the

sacrifice. As you stand tonight, there's

victory in the new creation, which you and I are.

Some cool stuff huh? I got a lot more on this but I

see y'all are getting tired so I'm going to be quiet.

How many can remember the words the Lord give me this afternoon?

We must quit. Would you close your eyes if

it's you and raise your hands as we close Tonight?

I must stop dwelling in the carnality of the thought process

of the mind. Think about that.

How do you know if you're dwelling in the carnality of the

thought process of the mind? How do I, how would you know

that as well? How, what, how, what am I

dwelling in? I'm going to give you a good

example. When you know, sometimes I, when

you're looking at something and you scrolling, anybody ever do

that? And you're dwelling on something

in your mind and you might see something that's good, but at

that particular time, that's not what you're looking for.

You've done heard something bad about somebody.

I don't even have that. I don't even do that.

But I found a little bit of somebody will send me something

on Facebook. And if it's good and I know it's

coming from, I don't have Facebook so I'll, I'll have to

look on the 1:00 my wife's got and I can pull up what they sent

me and read if it's real important, if it's something
