  1. Welcome to the Cross Power Church podcast.

  2. You're listening to a service from our church in Campbell, TX.

  3. We pray this message strengthens your faith and points you to the

  4. cross. Now let's join the service.

  5. You to be in the House of the Lord this morning like to say

  6. Happy Mother's Day to each and every one of our mothers this

  7. morning. We appreciate what you do and

  8. how you help us. And you know, all through our

  9. life, I've been shaped by a godly mom, godly grandmother,

  10. and even a godly great grandmother on both sides.

  11. Man, I, I tell the devil all the time, you don't know who you're

  12. messing with. Hey, man, I've been blessed way

  13. back and had lots of prayers prayed for me.

  14. And I thank God for that. I feel it every Sunday morning

  15. and Wednesday night when I step up here from heaven.

  16. They're still praying for me. Hey, man, and, and I've been

  17. here 17 years. You probably heard all my

  18. mother's stories. And I've, I'm going to go a

  19. different route today and talk about the way that mothers have

  20. have shaped us and a mother, a godly mother.

  21. Our number one role in our life that they play is they, they

  22. shape us. They shape who we are.

  23. We don't realize, you know, from the pick the shoes up to put

  24. your clothes to the tricking us. I had a mother like to trick me

  25. sometimes. I had a great grandmother that

  26. no matter what I did, she would never discipline me.

  27. And I knew that I could get away with anything at her house.

  28. And I recall one time my mother told me to go out to our house,

  29. we didn't live very far, that she had a prize for me.

  30. And she told me to bend over the bed.

  31. I was 3 or 4 years old. Ford told me to bend over the

  32. bed. She was going to bring me a

  33. prize. And she brought me a prize.

  34. It was the best. She was tricky from the time she

  35. did that to the time that I was 17 and she couldn't hurt me no

  36. more. She broke a board on my backside

  37. and then doubled it. She didn't quit.

  38. She was trying to shape me. Hey, man, she broke the board.

  39. I'm like, OK, are you finished? She said Nope.

  40. I doubled it and just kept on. But my mother didn't know, you

  41. know, she some mothers know how to My dad knew how to whoop.

  42. He'd wear back from living. He'd reach back there and grab

  43. some dirt, you know. But my mother, she would just

  44. real close. It didn't hurt.

  45. She thought she was really doing.

  46. But mom's whoopings didn't hurt. But if it didn't hurt, you

  47. didn't act like it hurt. She told Dad and dad, as I said,

  48. he would reach back in left field, right field and grab some

  49. dirt. And it hurt, boy, it you didn't

  50. want many of them. But I appreciate those things

  51. now shaping me. They shape us just as God shapes

  52. us, Amen. And so much of us and we're who

  53. we are today and and the influence of our mothers then

  54. that what they had on our life, you look back, it's still

  55. shaping you. You can hear those words.

  56. So many of the scriptures that I hold dear today I learned in the

  57. five feet five first five or six years of my life.

  58. Amen. And I've never forgot them.

  59. I have never forgot those scriptures taught by my mother,

  60. my grandmother, my great grandmother and mother's while

  61. you're teaching and while you're nourishing your children.

  62. Yes, even in the teen years when it seems you're banging your

  63. head against the wall and they're not hearing what you're

  64. saying. Anybody ever been there?

  65. Seems they're just not responding.

  66. Remember, you're still shaping just as God is shaping us today.

  67. There's there's many people being shaped by God today.

  68. And I want to preach along those lines today that God never stops

  69. shaping us. And I think if there's anything

  70. I could say about a godly mother today, it would be how they look

  71. ahead and they see what's ahead. The little things that

  72. scriptures, the things they're shaping us.

  73. It's not what we think it is at the time.

  74. I look at the way God's still shaping me today and shaping

  75. you. It's never what we think at the

  76. time. It's a far greater and a far

  77. bigger picture than we could ever see.

  78. And mothers never forget that. But let's stand in the reading

  79. of the Word in Galatians chapter 6 and verse 7, Galatians chapter

Galatians 6 chapter mention Galatians 6 chapter mention

  80. 6 and verse 7, it says do not be deceived.

  81. God is not malt for whatever man souls that he will reap.

  82. That's why we got to keep shaping.

  83. That's why God keeps shaping us. That's why a parent's job, a

  84. mother's job, a father's job. It's from the cradle to the

  85. grave. And we hope that we will see

  86. some of the things we've sown and in life, we hope we will see

  87. that and reap that. And verse 8 says, for he who

  88. sows to his flesh will love the flesh, reap corruption.

  89. And you know, we really focus on the flesh a lot today, even as

  90. parents sowing things that our kids can see.

  91. But the apostle Paul says here, he changes the tune of things.

  92. He says, but he who sows to the Spirit will love the Spirit,

  93. reap everlasting life. That's why we sow, because it's

  94. not of this life that we're sowing when we sow scriptures,

  95. when we sow those things as mothers, as fathers, as teachers

  96. and preachers. In verse 9, it said us, let us

  97. not grow weary. It's easy to grow weary in the

  98. world that we live in while doing good.

  99. We can't grow weary while doing good.

  100. For a due season we shall reap. I still believe that.

  101. Hey man, I believe we're going to see it if we do not lose

  102. heart. Therefore, as we have an

  103. opportunity, let us do good to all, especially those of the

  104. household of faith. Father, we thank you for your

  105. word today. I pray that you would touch your

  106. word, that you would anoint this word, that I could bring it the

  107. way you showed it unto me in Jesus name, Amen.

  108. I challenge mothers today. Keep sowing the word of God for

  109. he who sows of the flesh or reap of the flesh.

  110. But if you're sowing of the Spirit, keep keep sowing the

  111. things of the Spirit because you're shaping, you're making,

  112. you're molding into everlasting life, something that's going to

  113. last as the older I get, the more I see that this life is not

  114. going to last. Hey, man, your body's going to

  115. wear out. You're going to, they're going

  116. to take you out to an old cemetery somewhere or they're

  117. going to take you to a fiery furnace and they're going to

  118. cremate you. And, and from the dust that we

  119. were formed, we're going to return again.

  120. The Bible says you may not really realize it now.

  121. You may not see it in the in those that you're shaping now,

  122. but it will come back and maybe in later years, maybe in the

  123. deep. How many has been in the deep,

  124. deepest, darkest trial of your life and yet what's your mother

  125. or grandmother? Somebody sowed into you.

  126. You remember those words and it began to shape you and God begin

  127. to meet you at the point of your need.

  128. Let us not grow weary while doing good for a due time.

  129. We shall read first Peter chapter 1 and verse 3.

    1 Peter 1 chapter mention

  130. See, we're leading, we're not just shaping, we're not just

  131. harping, we're leading, Amen. If you're a godly mother today,

  132. you're shaping. You're leading them to what?

  133. Peter says that. And then first Peter chapter 1

    1 Peter 1 chapter mention

  134. and verse 3, it says blessed be the God the Father, our Lord

  135. Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy has begotten

  136. us again to a living hope. Say that with me.

  137. So I know you're here this morning.

  138. A living hope. Why do we have a living hope?

  139. Through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

  140. Why did he raise from the dead, He says in verse 4 to an

  141. inheritance. We have an inheritance.

  142. That's why we have to keep shaping people around us as

  143. mothers. You have to keep shaping.

  144. It's incorruptible. It's undefiled.

  145. That does not fade away and it's reserved in heaven for you say

  146. it's reserved in heaven for me this morning who are kept by the

  147. power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed

  148. in the last time. And verse 6 says in this you

  149. greatly rejoice though now for a little while, if it need be, you

  150. have been grieved by various trials.

  151. I like that, don't you? Why anybody in a trial this

  152. morning, Nobody you in a trial this morning.

  153. I like how the possible, I mean Peter how he threw that in

  154. there. It greatly rejoice though now

  155. for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various

  156. trials. Sometimes we need a trial,

  157. sometimes we need to walk through the valley of the shadow

  158. of death and learn that we have a God that fears no evil.

  159. Can I get a witness this morning?

  160. Because it's there? He says that the genuineness,

  161. the realness of your faith being much more precious than gold

  162. that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to

  163. the praise and the honor and the glory of the revelation of Jesus

  164. Christ, whom having not seen you love, though now you do not see

  165. him, yet, believing you're rejoicing with joy,

  166. inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith,

  167. the salvation of your souls. Isn't that a word from God this

  168. morning? We're kept by the power of God.

  169. Mothers keep shaping even in the struggles.

  170. I know the struggles we face in life, they're real.

  171. They're real because we have an adversary, We have an enemy, we

  172. have a devil that's fighting for your soul this morning.

  173. Amen. He's fighting for your child.

  174. So, and he's never going to quit fighting this side of heaven.

  175. He's fighting for it this morning.

  176. The question is, are we fighting for it or do we give in?

  177. Do we give up? I think of Jeremiah if we go to

  178. Jeremiah chapter 18. And the Holy Spirit took me to

    Jeremiah 18 chapter mention

  179. this verse for somebody this morning because I know there's

  180. times in my life I get on the wheel.

  181. Anybody ever been on the wheel? And Jeremiah chapter 18.

    Jeremiah 18 chapter mention

  182. So we learned there that we're shaping everything that we do in

  183. life. If you're as there's words

  184. coming out of your mouth and you go to a job on Monday morning or

  185. Friday evening, whenever it is, whatever comes out of your

  186. mouth, somebody's what listening they're hearing, they're

  187. listening to what you're doing. And what comes out of your mouth

  188. could be shaping somebody in One Direction or another.

  189. And in Jeremiah chapter 18, it says the word which came to me,

    Jeremiah 18 chapter mention

  190. Jeremiah from the Lord saying, arise, I like that.

  191. The word of the Lord, you know, we come, it comes to us today.

  192. We say, God bless me. No, he said, get up.

  193. When the word of the Lord came, it said, arise.

  194. Why would why would God say that always may he says that all

  195. through Scripture, doesn't he? He says, get up from the place

  196. that you're at and arise and begin to take hold of that which

  197. Jesus Christ has already laid a hold of you.

  198. But you got to arise out of the place where you're at.

  199. And he said, go down to the Potter's house.

  200. I like that. And there I will cause you to

  201. hear my words. Think about that.

  202. The Potter's house. I will cause you to hear my

  203. words. And Jeremiah rose and he went

  204. down to the Potter's house and he says there he was making

  205. something at the wheel. I got it.

  206. I got the privilege of seeing that one time.

  207. I used to be an old Potter's house in Cumbia.

  208. You remember it's sister, Oh bro Joe over there.

  209. He made pottery, shipped it all over and as a young man I went

  210. in there and I began to watch it.

  211. I had never seen it. He would take this old lump of

  212. clay and he would put it on this wheel and, and it was dry at

  213. first. He would begin to throw that

  214. water on it and he would take his foot down here and he would

  215. touch something. He would spin it and you know,

  216. he showed me, he said, look how smooth is you want a line there

  217. and he take a little deal and hold it.

  218. There was a line. You want another line and he

  219. could do anything he wanted to it.

  220. You want it flat. It was pretty cool to see that.

  221. But but I begin to notice. And then later in years, I read

  222. this 18th chapter of Jeremiah and he said I went down to the

  223. Potter's house and there he was making something.

  224. You ever been on the wheel of life, just spinning like crazy

  225. and out of control and whatever God's still shaping you, He's

  226. still making something. And he said, I arose and I went

  227. down to the Potter's house and there he was making something at

  228. the wheel. And the vessel that he made was

  229. clay. Think about that.

  230. It was clay. What are you and I?

  231. We're clay. And he says, but there was

  232. something different about this clay.

  233. He said as we read this word, it says that it was a vessel that

  234. he made was clay, but it was marred in the hand of the

  235. Potter. When you looked at word marred

  236. up in the Hebrew, it's Shakath, which is to run, to decay,

  237. spoil, destroy. It describes something that's

  238. boil like this. It got all over me when I read

  239. it describes the clay. It's not a perfect piece of

  240. clay. It's on a wheel.

  241. It's being made, it's being formed.

  242. But see, it was an old bad piece of clay.

  243. Anybody ever been there? It maybe, maybe it felt ruined.

  244. It was decayed. It was corrupt.

  245. It was marred in the hands of the Potter.

  246. It was not perfect. Amen.

  247. Can I tell you this Christian walk?

  248. It is not perfect. You may be marred, you may be

  249. scarred, but you're still on the wheel.

  250. Thank God He's still spinning it and He's still making us into

  251. something, a vessel of honor. Anybody ever been on the wheel?

  252. The wheels? Not a fun place at the time.

  253. It goes on to say this Hebrew word of mard.

  254. It means the loss of function. I've just lost all function.

  255. Anybody ever been there? It says it was mard, and I like

  256. what that says. Can I read that again?

  257. In verse 4? It says in the vessel that he

  258. made of clay, it was moored, it was messed up, it was spoiled,

  259. it was decayed, it was out of shape and it was in the hands of

  260. the Potter. But I focused in on that word it

  261. says and the vessel that he made of clay was that's past tense.

  262. Come on, teachers, help me out. That's past tense.

  263. It was marred. But as the Potter begin to take

  264. the clay, see it's an image of of Jesus Christ right here that

  265. Jeremiah could have been seeing. It was an image of God When he

  266. looks down at his children, it was a type and shadow.

  267. Yes, it was marred. But as he began to put it on the

  268. wheel and he began to spin it and he began to make it into

  269. something that it wasn't anymore.

  270. Can I get a witness? Aren't you glad you're not

  271. marred anymore? But you was marred in the hand

  272. of the Potter, so he made it again into another vessel.

  273. I like that he made it again into another vessel.

  274. I look at my brother sitting over here.

  275. He's a he's a Texas chapter president of Northeast Texas

  276. Motorcycle Ministry now. And I remember the first time he

  277. walked in here, he was on the wheel what it being molded being

  278. mad. But now he's a new vessel.

  279. He's a leader. A man went from a follower to a

  280. leader. That's what God does.

  281. But even though we're marred, he's still making we're in the

  282. hands of the Potter this morning.

  283. Somebody ought to say man and the vessel he made of clay, it

  284. was moored in the hand of the Potter.

  285. So he made it again into another vessel as it seemed good for the

  286. Potter to make not what I think it should be.

  287. He didn't make out of me what I thought I was going to be in

  288. life at the end of my life. I'm not, I'm not what I thought

  289. I would be, but I put myself on the wheel and I said, God just

  290. mold me, just make me. Then the word of the Lord in

  291. verse five came to me saying, O House of Israel, See this is the

  292. kicker. This is what some of you need to

  293. learn this morning. This is what all Christians need

  294. to learn. This is what your Mama was

  295. trying to get you to learn. Can I not do with you as this

  296. Potter? Can God not put the clay that He

  297. created on the wheel? Oh yes He can.

  298. It may be through many tolls and stairs.

  299. It may be through you running and rebelling.

  300. You may come to God bleeding and broken and life all messed up,

  301. but He going to put you on the wheel.

  302. Why? Because John 316 says God so

  303. loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that you

  304. should not perish, but you should have everlasting life.

  305. So if it takes putting you on the wheel, he'll put you on the

  306. wheel. Can I get a witness this

  307. morning? He'll put you on the wheel.

  308. Oh, you need a little line there.

  309. You need a little straightening there.

  310. I'll give it to you. I'll throw a little water on you

  311. when you drive. So it's pretty cool.

  312. Go look it up if you've never seen that.

  313. But the word of the Lord came to me saying, can I not do with you

  314. as this Potter says? The Lord, he says, look, as the

  315. clay is in the Potter's hand, so are you in my hands.

  316. So are we. What does that mean?

  317. He can do whatever he wants with us, but he's a loving God and he

  318. gives us a free will, right? So many times we have to go back

  319. to the to the old songs. I kid my wife all time because

  320. she grew up a Baptist. I kid her about that.

  321. Also be singing old powers. I said they sing that.

  322. The Baptist Church growing up, she said, yeah, we sing that.

  323. Then they sing this. And you know, I go back to the

  324. old song about the three Hebrew boys that was in the fire.

  325. They didn't sing that one. But I found that most churches

  326. sing this song. And as I remember back as I was

  327. being molded and shaped as one of the earliest songs I

  328. remember, you know, Jesus loves the little children, all the

  329. children of the world, red and yellow, black and white.

  330. You can't say that nowadays. You're racist in their sight.

  331. That ain't what it says. Hey, man.

  332. But he says red, yellow, black and white.

  333. They are what precious in his sight.

  334. And then I think back about the songs we sing.

  335. I remember those songs that molded and made you.

  336. He's got the whole world. Help me in his hands.

  337. He's got the whole world in his hands.

  338. Y'all something better than I do.

  339. Go ahead. He's got the whole world in his

  340. hand. He's got you and me, sister.

  341. He's got you and me, brother in his hands.

  342. He's got the whole world in his hand.

  343. Y'all remember that? We need to remember that

  344. sometime. He's got the wind and the rain.

  345. Y'all are off key. He's got the wind and the rain.

  346. All y'all got to say is in his hands.

  347. I remember the other He's got the wind and the rain.

  348. He's got the whole world in his hands.

  349. Mother, he's got your children in his hands.

  350. Aren't you glad God puts everything that's bothering us

  351. in his hands? He begins to mold it, he begins

  352. to make it, he begins to fix it. But see, we got to we got to be

  353. willing to let God do that. Is it great to know that we're

  354. in his hands This morning, just as Jeremiah went down to the to

  355. the Potter, we go to John chapter 10 and we read in verse

    John 10 chapter mention

  356. 27, Jesus said some miraculous words right here talking about

  357. sheep. I taught on sheep a few

  358. Wednesday nights ago about sheep.

  359. What are sheep or dumb sheep or dumb when you look it up and you

  360. if you ever been around sheep, they're dumb.

  361. They they'll follow anything. But Jesus said this.

  362. He said in John chapter 10 and 26.

    John 10 chapter mention

  363. He says you do not believe because you're not of my sheep.

  364. As I said to you, you my sheep hear my voice, and I know them,

  365. and they follow me, and I give them eternal life, and they

  366. shall never perish, neither shall anyone see when you begin

  367. to God, to let God shape you and mold you and make you in this

  368. life, and He gives you eternal life.

  369. He says that you will never perish, neither can anyone

  370. snatch them out of my hand. Isn't that, isn't that great to

  371. know that no one can snatch you out of the hand of God?

  372. But I learned a long time ago, I can walk out of the hand of God.

  373. I can get off the wheel and say, no, God, you're not going to

  374. make that part of my life. I don't need those lines in my

  375. life. I don't need that, that that

  376. sprinkler of the Holy Spirit in my life.

  377. I'm not going to allow you to make me say no one can snatch me

  378. from the palm of his hand, but I can walk out of his hand.

  379. I can walk out of that place. My Father, who has given them to

  380. me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out

  381. of my father's hand. And I'm the Father or one.

  382. So why don't you just get on the wheel this morning, knowing that

  383. you have a God that's trying to shape you, to mold you, and to

  384. make you. Mothers never forget you're

  385. shaping your children. Sometimes they're running crazy.

  386. Sometimes they're on the wheel, sometimes the Potter's throwing

  387. stuff their way. But most of all, we're in his

  388. hands. And as the song says, the Potter

  389. knows the clay, he knows how much pressure it can take.

  390. He knows how much he knows how many times around the wheel

  391. until we surrender to his wheel, right?

  392. And guess what? He never gets tired of spinning.

  393. He never gets tired of molding us and making us.

  394. Because in Second Corinthians chapter 4 and verse 7, we read

    2 Corinthians 4 chapter mention

  395. here what's really going on. Because when we're molded and

  396. we're being made, it says in 2nd Corinthians 4 and seven that we

  397. have this treasure in an earthen vessel.

  398. We live on this earth, but we are a vessel and we have a

  399. treasure that's in it. That the excellence of power may

  400. be of God and not of us. What I am is not of me, it's of

  401. God. See, I can't, I can't, I can't

  402. make what God's making out of my life.

  403. There's no way that I can do what God can do in my life

  404. because I'm what flesh and blood.

  405. And all I do is wrestle against flesh and blood.

  406. And I think it's principalities of the world, but it's really

  407. principalities of darkness trying to live in a heavenly

  408. place. But he says we have this

  409. treasure in an earthen vessel, that the excellence of power may

  410. be of God, not of us. We're hard pressed on every

  411. side, yet not crushed in that hope.

  412. The the, the pressing is going to come, but you're not crushed.

  413. We're perplexed, but not in despair.

  414. Persecuted but not forsaken, struck down but not destroyed.

  415. Always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus

  416. Christ, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our

  417. body for while we live. Verse 11.

  418. While we live, for he who live are always delivered to death

  419. for Jesus sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in

  420. our mortal flesh. So then death is working in us,

  421. but life in you. Isn't it great to know that

  422. eternal life's working in you this morning?

  423. It's great to know whether you go by the rapture, whether you

  424. go by the grave, if you've been on the wheel and God's making

  425. and molding something out of your life, Guess what?

  426. To be absent from this body is to do what?

  427. To be present with the Lord. What a hope we have.

  428. Verse 13, and I'm going to close it says since we have the same

  429. spirit of faith according to what is written, I believed and

  430. therefore I spoke. We also believe and therefore we

  431. speak knowing we'll stand our feet and we'll close, knowing

  432. that he who raised up the Lord Jesus, what does that do to your

  433. spirit? He who raises up the Lord Jesus,

  434. Ma, ma, ma, he who raised up the Lord.

  435. That's the God that's got us on the wheel this morning.

  436. The same God that raised Jesus from the dead will also raise us

  437. up with Jesus and will present us with you for all things or

  438. for your sake. That grace having spread through

  439. many may cause Thanksgiving to a bound to the glory of God.

  440. Therefore, we do not lose heart. Don't lose heart.

  441. I said, don't lose heart. I left the hospital room the

  442. other day with my good friend James.

  443. He was on the incubator tubes out of every place they could

  444. possibly put one in. The spirit of the Lord said say

  445. goodbye because I'm ready. I just felt it, but see, you

  446. can't turn around and tell a family that that may not be

  447. ready and know how things work in the spirit because I, I

  448. caught a glimpse of him in the other side and I prayed with him

  449. and I grabbed his leg. I said, buddy, I'll see you on

  450. the other side. I knew his time of departure was

  451. at hand. Amen.

  452. I knew in my spirit the Lord spoke that to me.

  453. After all the prayers and pray, faith that we had prayed, he

  454. went to be with the Lord. But see, for many that's not a

  455. hope, that's grieving, but when you can see the other side, when

  456. you know you've been on the Potter's wheel, when you know

  457. the water of the Holy Ghost has been sprinkled on your life.

  458. And you said, God, take all of me, take everything.

  459. I'm yours. I'm on the wheel.

  460. Make with me what you will. There's a piece, a man, he

  461. opened his eyes and he looked at me for the last time.

  462. The next day he would go be with the Lord.

  463. You know what the Holy Spirit spoke to me, this writer.

  464. Do not lose heart even though our outward man is perishing.

  465. Verse 16 you're perishing. We hear the doctor say, you know

  466. what, your terminal, that shouldn't be nothing, that

  467. you're all terminal. We're all terminal.

  468. We're all going to die because it's you know, it's appointed to

  469. you to die. It's appointed each and every.

  470. We have a date with death unless Jesus Christ steps out on the

  471. clouds and blows the trumpet. I want to take the flight.

  472. I pray everyday. God just let me fly.

  473. I want to take that flight. Amen.

  474. I don't want to go by the grave, but if I do, I don't lose heart.

  475. Because even though the outward man is perishing, the inward

  476. man, if you, if you choose to get on that wheel that

  477. Jeremiah's seen at the Potter's house, guess what's happening.

  478. The inward man is being renewed. I hear these Christians talking

  479. about man every day. Just every day I'm being

  480. renewed, yet the N word man is being renewed day by day.

  481. You got to look at life like this for a light affliction.

  482. Think about all the hell that's going on in earth today.

  483. I see the guy the other day he had a shirt on.

  484. He said he said I'm sorry but I'm not apologizing.

  485. I've been the same gender all my life.

  486. We got to apologize. We're going through hell here on

  487. earth. But yet the Apostle Paul said

  488. it's but a lot of affliction. Why could he say that?

  489. Because he knew what hell would be like.

  490. He had a glimpse of both. He said I was taken up into the

  491. 3rd heaven, whether in the spirit or out, I don't know.

  492. But I believe the Apostle Paul was taking some other places

  493. because he had a fire that a lot of people ain't got.

  494. He knew what was on what, what what lay beneath a man for our

  495. light affliction, which is but for a moment, life is but a

  496. vapor. Anybody learning that yet?

  497. But if I asked Brother Lee back there, he's a little older than

  498. some other, he would say life is but a vapor.

  499. It only seems a few days ago that I could run, I could jump,

  500. I could do all those. Life is but a vapor.

  501. What does the Bible say? And then it's it's gone for a

  502. light affliction, which is but for a moment this goes right.

  503. What I was preaching to you about the will is working for us

  504. a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

  505. What's the eternal weight? Everlasting life while we do not

  506. look, see, this is what you got to do if you're going to live

  507. for Jesus because you cannot see Jesus.

  508. I hear all these people that have seen him and I hope they

  509. did because they're writing books and making millions.

  510. They better hope they did. But why?

  511. We do not look at the things which you're seeing.

  512. Would you close your eyes this morning and not look at what

  513. you're seeing? While we do not look at things

  514. which you're seeing, but at the things which you're not seeing?

  515. What do you see? Is there wary in your mind this

  516. morning? Do you recall the words that

  517. Mother spoke to you years ago? What do you see?

  518. What do you see when you're all alone and nobody else is around?

  519. And what do you see for the things which you're seeing, the

  520. things which you're striving for?

  521. He says they're only temporary. But the things which are not

  522. seen, I can't see heaven. I can't see the friends that's

  523. going on to be with the Lord, the loved ones.

  524. But he said that which I cannot see is eternal.

  525. And in chapter 5 he says, for we know that if our earthly house,

  526. this tent is going to blow away, right, it's going to be

  527. destroyed. We have a building from God.

  528. Boy, I love this verse right here.

  529. A house that is not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

  530. For in this tent now we see we grown earnestly desiring to be

  531. clothed with our habitation, which is from heaven, if indeed

  532. having been clothed, we shall not be found naked.

  533. For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not

  534. because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed that

  535. mortality may be swallowed up by life.

  536. Now he who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also

  537. how get have has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.

  538. You have a guarantee this morning.

  539. For we are always confident, knowing well, some of you say

  540. it's good stuff, it's in the Bible, read it.

  541. Hey man, it's there. close your eyes and know this.

  542. What are you doing right now? You're believing for that.

  543. What you cannot see, knowing that while we're at home in the

  544. body, we're absent from the Lord.

  545. And in verse 7 it says, for we walk by faith.

  546. Say that with me we walk by faith.

  547. I don't walk by what I see at the church house.

  548. I don't walk by what I see my brother doing.

  549. I walk by faith, which is a substance of things hoped for,

  550. the evidence of what I cannot see.

  551. In Hebrews we say it with me, we walk by faith and not by sight.

  552. That which I'm doing I do not want to do, but I do it anyway.

  553. Sometimes that's OK. Just keep walking by faith.

  554. You'll become that person that the Bible says you can be.

  555. Just keep walking by faith. Just get on the wheel.

  556. Let him spin you a little bit more.

  557. For we walk by faith and not by sight.

  558. We are confident, yes, well pleased.

  559. I love this verse right here. Rather, to be absent from the

  560. body is to be present with the Lord.

  561. Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be

  562. well pleasing to him. Why don't we do this verse 10

  563. after you've been on the wheel because we must all appear

  564. before what the judgment seat of Christ that each one may receive

  565. the things done in the body according to what he has done,

  566. whether good or bad. Knowing therefore, that the

  567. terror of the Lord we persuade men, but we are all well known

  568. by God. Paint yourself and say I'm well

  569. known by God. He knows me, He knows my rising

  570. up, my sitting down, He knows all my ways and he has searched

  571. me. We are all well known to God and

  572. I also must trust or well known in your conscience.

  573. Father, we thank you for your word.

  574. We thank You that your word is truth and life.

  575. I have given you the word of God and what it says about who you

  576. are this morning. We thank God for the mothers

  577. that have shaped us, that has molded us, that has made us.

  578. And you know the greatest thing about God and he's like a

  579. mother. He will never quit loving you.

  580. Jesus loves you this morning. He's aware of everything you're

  581. going through. Would you somebody grasp that

  582. this morning? The devil's going to come and

  583. tell you, man, you ain't even worthy to be in this.

  584. You don't know about God. You're not living for God.

  585. You just get on the wheel and say, God, I know it.

  586. I agree with the devil. Devil says, oh, you can't tell.

  587. You're right, devil, I can't do it, but I know a man who can.

  588. Jesus loves you this morning as the song plays.

  589. Would you let him love you this morning?

  590. Would you get out of your mind what all you've done and what

  591. all you maybe said this week that ain't lining up with the

  592. Word of God? And just remember that Jesus

  593. loves you. If you need to know He loves

  594. you, come up this morning. Just worship him.

  595. Pray where you're at, wherever you worship.

  596. But let him shape you. Let him mold you.

  597. Let Him make you. Thanks for listening to the
