  1. We're going to, uh, we're gonna finish up our series today and on

  2. Holy Spirit. We're gonna talk about the spiritual gifts today. But I want

  3. to go ahead and kind of preface this for you because this is not a

  4. message like I normally preach. You know, I spend most of my time

  5. up here trying to give you the how this is how you put these things

  6. into your life. But today I'm just going to kind of give you a

  7. information and then I'm gonna ask you to trust the Holy Spirit to give you

  8. the how. How do I take the information and put it into action in

  9. my personal life? So that's, uh, that's kind of today's message.

  10. So if it seems a little different than what I normally do, it is

  11. a little different than what I normally do because you have to have that foundation

  12. of information, that foundation of knowledge before you can activate those things by faith

  13. and marry them to your heart. But we do want to spend some time

  14. looking at at the gifts of the spirit, and we're gonna talk a lot

  15. about those gifts of the spirit in One Corinthians chapter twelve, those great Pentecostal

  16. gifts. But we're also going to talk about some others. And we're gonna

  17. start there because I believe that that there is a lot of misunderstanding in what

  18. I call the office gifts of the Holy Spirit. So if you got a

  19. Bible, go to Ephesians chapter four, Aphesians chapter four. We're gonna start

  20. reading in verse seven. Aphesians chapter four, verse seven. If you're there,

  21. say amen. If you're there, and I gave you all little more

  22. time. If you're there, say amen, Oh yeah, that's better.

  23. Fijis Chapter four, verse seven. But to each one of us grace was

  24. given according to the measure of Christ's gift. Therefore, he says, when

  25. he ascended on high, he led captivity captive and gave gifts to men.

  26. Now this he is. What does it mean but that he also first descended

  27. into the lower parts of the earth. He who descended is also the one

  28. who ascended far above all the heavens, that he might feel all things.

  29. And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists,

  30. some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints, for the work

  31. of ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ, till we all

  32. come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of

  33. God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the

  34. fullness of Christ, that we should no longer be children tossed to and fro,

  35. carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men and

  36. the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting. This may be the longest sentence in the

  37. English language. I'm a little lightheaded, not having a period to be able

  38. to stop and breathe. Amen, But speaking the truth and love may grow

  39. up in all things into Him who is the Head Christ, from whom the

  40. whole body joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the

  41. effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body

  42. for the edifying of itself in love. Let's pray, Father, thank you

  43. for your word. This is the only change agent on the face of the

  44. planet. And I pray right now that we receive and we're changed, that

  45. you give us a deep understanding, Lord, not of the way we want

  46. things to be, but the way things are. But we ask it in

  47. Jesus' name. Amen. The Bible says that when Christ descended, he gave

  48. gifts to men. And when we continue to read those gifts that he gave

  49. are what we call the fivefold ministry, those office gifts. It's the apostle,

  50. It's the prophet, the evangelist, the pastor, and the teacher.

  51. Now, I want to break those things down real quick for you. I

  52. want you to think about this in the form of a hand. I want

  53. to go through these things help you understand them. The apostle is represented by

  54. the thumb. He is the uh He's the strongest part of the fivefold ministry,

  55. but he's a little bit separated. That's why the thumb stands a little

  56. further apart than the other fingers. He is the captain of the ship,

  57. so to speak. Then there is the prophet. The prophet is the pointer

  58. finger because he points the direction for the church to go. Then there's the

  59. evangelist. He's the longest finger, and it's not because he gives everybody the

  60. bird, but because he is longer and he goes above and beyond everyone else

  61. to win people to Christ. And then there's the pastor. The pastor is

  62. the because the pastor is married to the church. And then there's the teacher.

  63. The teacher is the little finger, because the little finger is the only

  64. one that's small enough to get inside your ear. And it's the fivefold ministry,

  65. and the fivefold ministry in God's perfect plan is for the equipping of the

  66. saints for works of service. Let me say that again. It's for the

  67. equipping of the saints for works of service. They are not professional ministers that

  68. are paid to do all the ministry. They are for the equipping of the

  69. saints for works of service. So, in other words, a true evangelist

  70. is one who will equip other people to go and win people to the Lord.

  71. Come on, somebody, not just stand on a stage and preach good

  72. sermons so that people come to the altar. Now do evangelists do that,

  73. absolutely they do, But there also has to be the equipping part for them

  74. to truly be part of the fivefold ministry. Now there are parts that there

  75. are people that do the work of the evangelists right that go and that's what

  76. they do. They win the loss. But a true evangelist will equip people

  77. to win people to Christ. As we look at all these gifts, they

  78. are equipping gifts. They are to put systems and processes in place to help

  79. every single person step up and basically says, come to the full stature and

  80. understand who Christ is, and step into him fully and enjoy all the parts

  81. of Christ's covenant for mankind. Now there is that there's a lot of shifts

  82. that happen from the time this was written until now. First of all,

  83. when we read scripture, the two most talked about offices, the two most

  84. talked about office gifts in the Bible are the prophet and the apostle. They're

  85. the two least talked about in the modern day church. Let me say that

  86. again, they're the two most talked about in scripture. They're mentioned more than

  87. any of the other gifts, but they're the least talked about in the modern

  88. church. And the ones that are the least talked about in scripture are the

  89. ones that are most talked about in the modern church. Pastors mentioned very few

  90. times in scripture, but yet that's what we call everybody that sits in the

  91. big chair. But I want to tell you that I have learned to do

  92. pastoral things, but I'm not a naturally gifted pastor. I've kind of conformed

  93. to the title. But that's not really what comes most now to me.

  94. The things that come most natural to me are over that apostolic realm. Now,

  95. let first of all, don't start calling me apostle. Don't. That's

  96. not what I'm saying. I'm just simply saying that that things get twisted to

  97. the point where now the expectation of people to those professional ministers are no longer

  98. about equipping. It's more about care. Let me say that again. Those

  99. expectations are less about equipping and more about care. It's all about taking care

  100. and making sure I'm well cared for and my feelings don't get hurt and somebody,

  101. Come on, somebody, That's that's how and listen. It's hard to

  102. preach. This is hard to preach when things feel so serving. It's very

  103. hard for me to preach. But the reality is if we did more discipling,

  104. we would need to do less care. Let me say that again.

  105. I didn't get many shouts there, and I want to expecting to get a

  106. whole lot today. Why I did this on a holiday weekend, Come on,

  107. somebody, because I just knew people that really love Jesus we're gonna be

  108. here. If there was more equipping, there would be less care because the

  109. people that were caring for would be caring for others, and the care for

  110. others would supplement their need for care of self. Because the Kingdom works selflessly.

  111. The more selfless we are, the more we return and we receive from

  112. the Lord. Listen, It's very hard to struggle with a victim mentality when

  113. I'm always helping other victims. It's hard to struggle with me not having enough

  114. when I'm always giving away what I have to somebody that has less, and

  115. the Lord continues to pour into me. See true, true fivefold ministry equips

  116. people for works of service and build systems and processes that make it easy for

  117. you watch this to find your place and live with purpose? Does that sound

  118. familiar to anybody? To find our place? Where do we fit? What

  119. are our giftings? How are we equipped? And then how does that apply

  120. to my life at large? So that I'm out there living with purpose on

  121. purpose? And that's what the five to four ministry is all about. It's

  122. about equipping and those are part of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. They're

  123. part of the gifts and part of the empowerment that Holy Spirit does in people

  124. that are calling to that and many of those people do serve in some level

  125. of vocational ministry. In other words, that's like at least part of their

  126. job. Come on, somebody, you know. Here's here's the thing is,

  127. I don't get paid. I don't get paid to pastor the church.

  128. You pay me so that I can so that I can express those gifts that

  129. are that are in me, and I don't have to do some of the

  130. other things that would cause me to be less prepared to equip you. Come

  131. on, somebody. And in the course of that, we have to think

  132. and see and strategize and dream. And there's so many things that that that

  133. over the course of the day that I do that we don't think about.

  134. As a matter of fact, I was going to just like and I didn't

  135. know how to do this, but I wanted to pull like a graph of

  136. my phone and put it on the screen so y'all can see how many text

  137. messages, how many phone calls, how many emails that I get over the

  138. course of a week, thousands, thousands. Listen, not from and listen,

  139. I'm not talking about Georgia Outdoor News. I'm not counting that as one

  140. of the emails, right, I'm not counting IMO dot Com uh, sending

  141. me, you know, some kind of discount on amo to my tell,

  142. I'm not counting those. I'm talking about ministry related items. And most of

  143. those things are not actually things that I'm very well equipped to do. I

  144. know y'all want me to be equipped to do things, but sometimes I'm just

  145. not very well equipped to do certain things. I do them, and I've

  146. learned to do them right. And I don't know if you noticed it,

  147. but something is happening in our church right now. Something is happening on our

  148. church. And we're at an incline in growth, really at a at a

  149. level that we haven't seen in a maybe ever. And Pastor Clay is a

  150. pretty smart guy. And uh and and he said, and they said,

  151. hey, chief, you know we've had times like this, and this is

  152. what this is. This is how things work, this is how things go.

  153. So we we get up to a certain level and then we max out

  154. at your capacity to take care of people, and you get tired, so

  155. then you just run people off and and grow the church back down to where

  156. you can rest. And I'm like, whoa whoaha, whoa wa, I

  157. never intentionally ran anybody off. Well, then I stopped and I thought maybe

  158. I have, But the reality is I'm when I get pulled to do things

  159. I'm not well equipped to do. You don't feel well taken care of,

  160. so you go to a plate, right, And I don't blame people for

  161. that. So we started thinking saying, hey, how do we continue to

  162. go? How do we continue on this curve? How do we continue to

  163. do those things? And the reality is by helping you step into your gifts

  164. more and doing more equipping than we've ever done, that's how we keep going

  165. and keep expanding. So we're putting some things in place that are gonna help,

  166. gonna help you, gonna help me, gonna help the staff incredibly a

  167. matter. I'm gonna clarify some things real fast. This is not one of

  168. those things you know that we're expecting to go viral because of the profound,

  169. deep, exciting theology that's found in this message. This is more for us.

  170. Come on, somebody, Sometimes we just have to pre for us and

  171. those people that are there every week online. So one thing starting next week

  172. we're gonna have is we're going to have a pastor on call line. Amen,

  173. a pastor on call line, so that when you call that number,

  174. there's somebody that's gonna answer and take great care of you. Now, I'm

  175. also in that rotation, but there's gonna be some other incredibly gifted pastors that

  176. you're gonna get when you call that number. Now I know what some of

  177. y'all are thinking right now. Oh, he's not talking about me. I

  178. still call pastor Steve. I got his phone number. He gave me his

  179. phone number. He wants me to call him. I sneezed and I need

  180. to let him know. Yeah, I'm talking to you. I'm talking call

  181. the pastor on call the pastor on call number, because that's where you get

  182. the best care. That's where you get the best care is by call,

  183. because that's the system in the process to help take care of you. Here's

  184. another revelation that I want to ge of you. Guys. If you want

  185. to know what's happening here, If you want to know what's going on and

  186. when so and so happens with, don't call me because I do not know.

  187. Literally. The way I know to be places sometimes is my phone will

  188. ring, or I will get a text and say hey, where are you?

  189. And I text back and say what do you mean? Say, well,

  190. you're speaking in thirty seven seconds here at this group, and I'm like,

  191. I'm on the way. Traffic's terrible now, I'm just kidding. It's

  192. never been like that before. But you know, I don't keep up with

  193. the calendar. That's not that's not I don't do that, and I don't

  194. I don't manage the facility. Is like who's having a birthday party? And

  195. what's here and what's there? That's all something else. So listen if you

  196. need to know something about the facility and what's going on, Sean at seastone

  197. dot TV. Sean takes care of all those things. He he he schedules

  198. the facility. He makes sure that you have the that there's chairs, and

  199. there's tables if you need them. He makes sure that you know you're out

  200. on top of another group past Sean does and he does it incredibly well.

  201. And listen. If you have a question about finances, I'm not your guy.

  202. If you call and say, hey, Passion, how much have I

  203. given this year? This is what I'm gonna tell you. Not enough.

  204. If you call and say how much have I get, I'm gonna say not

  205. nearly enough. You need to double it. That's that's that's Connie and Kathy.

  206. That's either Kathy at ceastone dot TV or Office at ceastone dot TV.

  207. Right, because that's the world they live in every single day. They know

  208. those things. If you're giving records not right, if you whatever, If

  209. you want to give and you don't know how to give, Office at seastone

  210. dot TV, Kathy at ceastone dot TV. That's how that that that's how

  211. you do those things right if you If you're if you are in desperate need

  212. and you want somebody that can speak into your life, the number one place

  213. to go is your group leader. That's the number one place to turn is

  214. your group leader. Not because I don't love you, because I do.

  215. Anybody that knows me knows that I love the people that come to Cornerstone.

  216. But they know what's been going on in your life over the last few days

  217. or the last few weeks, and they've already been praying for you. You've

  218. already been having conversations in group about these things, and that's who can really

  219. drill down into intercessory prayer and help coach you through those moments. And now

  220. I know some of you are asking, well, why is if I don't

  221. have a group leader. Get one. You need to be part of a

  222. group because I just want to tell you, not making a dust saith the

  223. Lord prediction, but just some common sense wisdom that I see is we are

  224. headed to a place where, right here in the good old United States of

  225. America, that we might not be able to do this a whole lot longer,

  226. that we may not be able to assemble the way we assemble much longer.

  227. And I know you think that could never happen, but I'm telling you

  228. there are some signs and some things that are happening that looks like we may

  229. be headed in that direction. For instance, we accidentally got sent a property

  230. tax bill for this property. A church is don't pay property tax, right,

  231. we're tax exempt. Guess what if we have to pay that property tax

  232. bill every year, some he's got to get fired. That's how much it

  233. is. That was an accidental. Somebody was doing some experimenting on computers somewhere

  234. to see what happens when that becomes a reality. Come on, somebody,

  235. because that's a way that they can put pressure on the church to conform.

  236. So you need to be part of a group because that's a support structure that

  237. endures. No matter what happens, your group can function because that's your friends

  238. and your family, and it has nothing to do with organized church. It

  239. is a group of people that are like minded, that love each other and

  240. want to do life together. They might keep me from standing on the stage,

  241. but they can't keep Jesus out of your relationships and your support structure.

  242. Listen, this we don't just happens that's all We're gonna do groups. No,

  243. it is the New Testament way to do church. The Early Church immediately

  244. organized into small groups. Listen, you need to begin to discover the skills

  245. that you have. It's part of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. How

  246. do I do that? Go through engage, get your personality survey, get

  247. your spiritual gifts tests done, and then come and sit down at a table

  248. with me and I will go over your personality. I will go over your

  249. spiritual gifts, and we will talk about what teams you fit, why you

  250. think the way you think, why you argue with the people you argue with.

  251. Come on, somebody, and what basically happens at a bigger level in

  252. your life, and why you lean into or towards the things you lean towards

  253. because we want you to live with purpose, because that's part of equipping.

  254. So listen, when all those things are happening and I get one thousand emails

  255. and fifteen hundred text messages and two hundred calls instead of ten thousand, I

  256. can preach better. We can dream and strategize for the vision of the future.

  257. We can work on some things that we desperately need to work on,

  258. like how do we take care of an ever increasing population that has special needs

  259. children they're trying to take care of and to disciple and that. Listen,

  260. that's something that's on my heart that we've got to start developing. And when

  261. we understand there are a lot of equippers, a lot of pastors in this

  262. church that are better at it than me, the growth curve will continue and

  263. continue and continue, and we will be a force to be reckoned with in

  264. our community and the devil won't be able to do anything about it. Listen,

  265. we're here. We are here for the ones that are not here.

  266. We exist for the people that are not here. Yet, if every person

  267. in this room dies, we going to heaven. Are the ones that didn't

  268. clap We're going to have an altar call. In just a few minutes,

  269. we're going to heaven. But guess what, the person that lives down the

  270. street that's never been here and hasn't been exposed to the gospel yet, if

  271. they die, they go to hell. That's why we exist for the ones

  272. that are not here yet. Amen, those office gifts. Now, let's

  273. roll over, and I know I got to hurry. First Corinthians, chapter

  274. twelve. Let's look at that list of Pentecostal gifts, those nine gifts that

  275. we spend a lot of time on in our churches and in our thinking when

  276. we talk about the Holy Spirit. First Corintius, chapter twelve, starting in

  277. verse four, says, there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

  278. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are

  279. diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all,

  280. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for profit of

  281. all. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the spirit to

  282. another, the word of knowledge through the same spirit to another, faith by

  283. the same spirit to another, gifts of healing through the same spirit to another,

  284. the working of miracles to another, prophecy to another discerning of spirits,

  285. to another different kinds of tongues, and to another interpretation of tongues. But

  286. one in the same spirit works all things, tributing to each one individually.

  287. As he will. Let me break these gifts down for you real fast.

  288. These three gifts fit into three category. I mean, these nine gifts fit

  289. into three categories. The first category are the perception gifts. In other words,

  290. they happen more at what we would consider in our finite ability to understand.

  291. They happen kind of in the mind region. So there are things that

  292. there's not anything tangible word of wisdom. Word of wisdom is that somebody expresses

  293. an issue or a problem they're having to you, and you're able to look

  294. at that and speak wisdom into their life, even if you don't really have

  295. a deep study or understanding of what they're going through. Word of wisdom,

  296. Word of knowledge, you had the ability to know something that's happening in somebody's

  297. life without them telling you. We kind of call it And to put acost

  298. Church, reading somebody's mail, somebody standing that you've come to the altar,

  299. somebody says hey, this, this and this, and you're like, whoa

  300. that's word of knowledge and action. And then discernment, the ability to know

  301. if it is the Lord or the enemy at work in certain situations and circumstances.

  302. It's that ability to think something's just not right over there. Amen.

  303. Those are the perception gifts. Then there's the proclamation gifts, those things that

  304. we say that we speak with our mouth. The proclamation gifts are prophecy,

  305. strong, edifying, uplifting word prophecy. Number two tongues. We talked about

  306. that a lot last week. Number three interpretation of tongues. Those are all

  307. things that happen at the mouth level. And then there are the third category,

  308. the pile were gifts. They're the what I call the TBN gifts.

  309. They're the ones that get you on TV. Healing miracles and faith healing.

  310. Listen, let me just quickly go over the difference between these two. Healing

  311. is God involved to accelerate or use a gradual process to bring you back to

  312. restoration and wholeness. Miracle a divine interruption in the natural occurrence of things.

  313. So I came in today on Sunday. I went to the doctor Friday.

  314. He diagnosed me with cancer. I come in on Sunday and I pray,

  315. and I go back to the doctor on Monday, and I ain't got it

  316. no more. Miracle right, miracle Sometimes we ask God to heal us when

  317. we mean God, give me a miracle. Right. As a matter of

  318. fact, I believe that that that another gift that God has for the church

  319. is health. I believe that that God will bring divine health and that we

  320. can believe for divine health. I try to always put that strong thh on

  321. the end of that, because everybody says it sounds like I'm saying hades and

  322. not health. Health. I believe that that that God can do that in

  323. our lives and give us divine health. As a matter of fact, I

  324. believe God's desire is for the church to walk in health, and then he'll

  325. heal and do miracles for those that are not in the church yet to awaken

  326. some faith to bring them towards the church. Just my personal belief. And

  327. those nine gifts are the gifts that we talk about the most. But that's

  328. not an exhaustive list of gifts. As a matter of fact, let's stay

  329. in the same uh. Let's say, let's stay in the in the same

  330. chapter. But let's go down to verse twenty seven. It says, now

  331. you're the body of Christ members individually, and God has appointed these in the

  332. church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, After that miracles,

  333. then gifts of healing, and then he gets into something we haven't talked about

  334. yet, helps administrations, varieties of tongues or all apostles or all prophets?

  335. Are all teachers or all workers of miracles? Do all have gifts of healings?

  336. Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpretly but earnestly? Desire the

  337. best gifts? What are the best gifts the ones that are not already in

  338. action around you right now, because they're needed. There is no level of

  339. importance to the other gifts. What we need you to ask God for what

  340. we need? How we need God to ask, How we need you to

  341. ask God to gift to you is in those areas that you look around and

  342. you see a deficiency. If you look around and you say, wow,

  343. you know what this place just I don't even know how it stays together.

  344. They so disorganized. God, give me the gift of administration. See how

  345. that works? Man? Everybody here is mean? And giving me a word

  346. from the Lord I just want somebody to love them. God, help me

  347. have the gift of pastoring. Everybody heres loves, just loves, loves,

  348. loves loves. But you know what, nobody really knows what God said,

  349. Lord, make me a prophet. Most of us stand back and say,

  350. God, I'm here, do whatever you want to do. And we wait,

  351. and then we say, oh, he didn't do anything, so he

  352. must not want me to do anything. He did it, but there's no

  353. strategy behind what you're asking for. So he did it, but you don't

  354. know it because you didn't know what you were looking for. That's when we

  355. pray. We pray with purpose and specificity. God give me this gift because

  356. this gift is needed. God give me the gift of compassion and patience because

  357. we need nursery workers. Right, God give me the gift. Give me

  358. the gift of logistics because we need parking lot workers. God make my aim

  359. true and my sense is heightened because we need security team workers. That's the

  360. way spiritual gifts work. When the Holy Spirit baptizes us in the Holy Spirit

  361. and he's resident in our lives, the potential for all the gifts is already

  362. there. He don't just move in with one or two. He moves in

  363. with them all, and then we begin to pray for alignment and sensitivity to

  364. those gifts so that those gifts can be activated in us and through us.

  365. It's not another magical thing that happens. This is about real people, living

  366. real life, serving a real God. And we just want to magically stumble

  367. into everything in our lives. But come to God with focused purpose and say,

  368. God, I know this is what you have for me. I know

  369. this is this is the things that I need in order to achieve the destiny

  370. You've dropped in my heart. God, give me those things, and then

  371. you know how you find out if you got them. Try. Try,

  372. You ask God for the for the gift of healing. Pray for people to

  373. be healed. You ask God for the gift of tongues. Open your mouth

  374. and submit in faith. The gifts are gifts. They're not dominu not that's

  375. not the word. Never mind that they're not possessive gifts. He does take

  376. over and shake your mouth and make you speak in tongues. He doesn't throw

  377. you on top of somebody and they're healed. There's action involved on our part

  378. in order to access the gifts pastor Clay, you guys, come and get

  379. ready and Acts, Chapter one, verse seven. I want to just wrap

  380. all this up because I want to point to to what all every gift is

  381. for. Every gift is for one purpose, one purpose and Acts Chapter one,

  382. verse seven. This is Jesus. He's talking to his closest ministry partners.

  383. It's getting ready to ascend into heaven. And this is it's the last

  384. conversation he has with him right here before he's taken up in a cloud.

  385. And he said to them, it's not for you to know times or seasons

  386. which the Father has put under his own which is put in his own authority.

  387. But you, but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come

  388. upon you. You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you,

  389. and you shall be Now listen, he just said, I'm sending power.

  390. Follow Follow the sentence, flow, follow the complete thought that's being said

  391. here by the Son of God. He says, you're going to receive power

  392. when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. And when you receive that power,

  393. you will be you will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem. You'll be

  394. real, You'll be witnesses to me. Right here where you live, you'll

  395. be witnesses to me in all Judaea. You're gonna be witnesses in the surrounding

  396. area. When you're at your job, and when you're when you're out at

  397. the on the outskirts, and you're at the grocery store, and you're going

  398. to be witnesses. Why Because I'm empowered by the Holy Spirit and his gifts.

  399. You shall be. You shall be witnesses me and Jerusalem and all Judaa

  400. and Samaria. The people that live around you that don't look like you,

  401. they don't talk like you, they don't sound like you. That it's cross

  402. cultural ministry because all people are valuable. When you make political statements, understand,

  403. you're making political statements about people that are valuable to God. And it's

  404. our responsibility to love first. I have my own ideals, some of them

  405. are very harsh, but I love first regardless of whether I get my way

  406. or not. I love. Our church should look more like our community than

  407. it does right now. Our community is full of all different looking people,

  408. and we got to look more like our community just we do. I mean

  409. this, Listen. I pray for God to send people bigger than me.

  410. All the time, just so I feel better about myself. I pray for

  411. everybody. It'skinny people, tall people, short people, white people, black

  412. people, brown people. I just want people to find and experience Jesus.

  413. He says, listen, you're gonna be witnesses in Samaria. And then he

  414. says, and then go as far as you can to the end of the

  415. earth. Do you know that the Church of America does a lot better going

  416. to the end of the earth than they do and go than they do going

  417. next door. I'm gonna say something that I don't care. The reason we

  418. do better going to the ends of the earth than we do next door is

  419. because it doesn't take Holy Spirit empowerment to write a check and send it to

  420. a missionary around the world. It doesn't take us rolling up our sleeves and

  421. getting over ourselves to write somebody a check. It's Kingdom child support. We

  422. have a kid that we don't want to raise, so we send money.

  423. What an indictment against the Church of Jesus Christ. You need to go to

  424. one of those places. You need to see what those places look like.

  425. You know who the new heroes of this generation of church are gonna be it's

  426. not gonna be the televangelists. It's gonna be that young couple that three or

  427. four days ago just gave their life and hated when there when their compound was

  428. overrun and they were killed, trying to do ministry to to hurting broken Haitian

  429. people. Those are those are the heroes, those people that that that will

  430. go, that will be empowered by the Holy Spirit to live selfless, missional

  431. lives. Because spirit baptism and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are not magic

  432. tricks for an altar. They're tools in the tool belt of the person going

  433. and sharing their faith and pushing the Kingdom of God wider and deeper in the

  434. real world. He's empowering you and giving you tools to make a difference.

  435. It's summertime. Efficiently, summertime, schools out, summertime. It affects every

  436. person in America the same way. We kind of dial back a little bit

  437. our last staff meeting. Looked at our staff, I said, hey,

  438. it's summertime. If you need to rest, now's the time to do it

  439. because falls come and we'll be back in growth season and it's gold, go

  440. gold, go go. Now. We rested too much. We rested too

  441. much this last week, and and I guess I'm just in this mode today

  442. and these didn't get done that should have been done. And we're going to

  443. fix those things because you guys deserve better than that. Part of my new

  444. mandate is to make sure those things don't happen anymore, so that you have

  445. a place to bring the lost and the broken, that when they show up,

  446. we're prepared and we've prayed for them, and that we put forth an

  447. experience that brings them to the very feet of Jesus and there's no distractions and

  448. there's nothing wasted, and people are born again. That's what you deserve.

  449. If I'm asking you to go make a difference when you get here with people,

  450. We're gonna make sure those people are served. We're gonna make sure those

  451. things are done because it glorifies God and it helps you be equipped because you're

  452. the saints that it's talking about. Everybody's staying with me all over the room,

  453. Glenn, We're gonna have communion. In just a moment. Russia's gonna

  454. come around and serve you. I want you to seek those gifts. I

  455. want you to know that when you walk out of here, that you're on

  456. your way towards purpose. Ask God for the things that are in your heart.

  457. I want to be able to for the Kingdom. Fell in the blank

  458. and ask God for those gifts I want to be able to. I want

  459. to be able to witness to my neighbor. I know something's going on with

  460. my neighbor, but I don't know what it is. God, give me

  461. the gift of word of knowledge, so that I know what's going on with

  462. my neighbor, so that when I talk to him, I can say,

  463. Hey, listen, you don't have to feel and you don't have to feel

  464. guilty about you. Start reading people's mail, they start talking, taking note

  465. that things are going on. Hey, I know I got a coworker that

  466. you know they're they're having a conflict with their spouse and things are not going

  467. well. God give me the gift of word of knowledge. Give me the

  468. gift of word of wisdom, so I know exactly what's happening, and I

  469. can speak and I can give you'r and into their lives so that they can

  470. be ministered to. I work with a bunch of people that they don't even

  471. believe God exists. Give me the gift of healing and miracles, so that

  472. they see that God is alive and well. Just be aware. Pray for

  473. God to fill in the gaps. Gentlemen, you guys can go ahead and

  474. serve Father right now. In the name of Jesus, pray you touch every

  475. person in this place, or that you would open our eyes to the brokenness

  476. around us, that you would speak deeply, deeply into it. That you

  477. would show us those those blanks in our lives where your gifts come. Make

  478. us complete, help us to embrace fully the gifts so that we can live

  479. extraordinary kingdom lives. But I love you, I thank you Jesus name. Amen.
