A Great House - Week 3

I thank you for every person Lord that has stepped

into the incredible, exciting, fulfilling world of giving, and I

pray that you bless them Lord beyond their wildest imagination. Father,

that you show up in ways that they never dreamed

you could. Lord. I love you, and I thank you

in Jesus' name. Amen, Amen, and Amen. Listen, guys, you're

in for a real treat today. You know, I just

needed I just needed the day off. Come on, somebody.

I just needed to not have to preach today. And

I hope you guys understand that this past week has

just been a heavy week for my family and you

deserved me not flying in here by the seat of

my pants and trying to preach. Amen. Trust me, you

don't want that. You don't want me unprepared. It's bad.

So so you're in for a real treat today. You

don't get to hear from this guy very often, but

I'm excited this morning that you're going to get to

hear from from from a man of God that I

have all the confidence in the world in that I

believe in. I know his heart and I know his life,

and he is a true dedicated believer. So I want

you to put your hands together and welcome to the

stage this morning. Pastor Shane Clan, thank.

You, good morning. How are y'all?

Y'all? Gay man?

What a time of worship?

Before we ever get started, I want to I want

to fire right back, say Chief, thank you for this opportunity.

Thank you for having me a part of your team

for the past seven years. And look do you all think, oh, well,

he's just buttering up. That's not the man you butter

up to you. That's not the man that you can

suck up to you to get what you want. Thank

you for always encouraging and pushing out of hard work

and excellence out of your team. You've made me a

better pastor, dad, and friend. I love you and thank you.

That being said, let us pray, Father God, I love

you so much.

I love your word.

I love that the moment it's read, the moment it's seen,

it changes in the heart of man. And just as

you've changed me and you're changing me, I asked that

you do the same to your beautiful people, your children

in this room. The Lord, we love you, and we

thank you and your name. We pray Amen. If you

have a Bible, I it's pretty cool. It's called a

loose leaf. I love this thing because I can describe

the scripture I need for today and have it here.

But if you do not have a Bible, it is

on the screens. This is what I'll recommend right off

about something practical you need to have. Also, you need

the Church Center app. But you also need the Bible app. Okay,

it's devotions. There is built ten systems for your life

to become like Jesus, that man said Genesis chapter two.

So the creation of the heavens and the earth and

everything in them was completed on the seventh day. God

had finished his work of creation. So he rested from

all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and

declared it holy because it was the day when he

rested from all his work of creation. This is the

count of the creation of heavens and the earth. And

when the Lord God made the heaven and earth in

the heavens, neither wild plants nor grains were growing on earth,

for the Lord God had not yet sent rain to

water the earth, and there were no people to cultivate

the soil. Instead, springs came up from the ground and

watered all the land. Then the Lord God formed me

from the dust of the ground. This is a great house.

This is a great house. Your home is a great house.

But where did it start?

Dirt? It's just dirt. It's just dirt.

But I also love that God when he decided to

make Adam, he also made him out of the only

substance you can throw a seed into.

And water it and it produces fruit.

So Adam also he was made in the image of God.

And this is beautiful. He has sculpted. I'm gonna give

him my eyes, I'm gonna give him my hands, I'm

gonna give him my faciit.

And it's wonderful.

Hey, Jesus, he kind of looks like you. And we

see that God, even throughout creation, had a system in

place to work with that. You can never listen to me.

You can never create anything without your best effort and

expect it to be godly. That God, his best effort

went into Adams. The only thing that he said was

good that he created. That was really good that he created.

But it's also the only thing he chose to actually

put his breath into. That You've never been more like

God when you decide to create something. But listen, listen,

and you are about to ask me, why why am I?

Why are you going there? You have toddlers?

Okay, parents, I was a twenty two year old that

me and my wife decided to take an a seventeen year

old through junior, senior, as freshman, and sophomore year of college.

But listen to me.

If you expect a system and you create and God

blesses and you don't have a system in place, I

really wonder where it's gonna go and where am I

going with that? Hey, parents, if the only time you

experience God as a family is in the walls of

this building, the system isn't working out, and I say

that humbly. I love you, I care about you, and

it don't have to be much.

I have toddlers.

Maybe it's a bedtime square before bed, a kiss on

the cheek and hey, I love you and Jesus loves you,

or hey, son, on the way to school, how's life?

It's okay, that's what my life looks like. This is

what I'm going through. Some of the things you don't see, sun,

But hey, I know the Lord's got this. But the

coolest thing in the world is those small times maybe

as simple as this of laying the hand on your

kid when they're sleeping, or you're praying over the door

and saying, Hey, God, I pray for their spouse, creating

him a clean heart. Oh God, I pray for their teachers.

I pray for their school. I pray for their coaches.

I pray for their friends. Lord God, I pray that

you give them influence.

God.

I pray that you move on his behalf in the

battles that he doesn't tell me about and.

The things he doesn't share, create the system, make the

habits early. It's not just dirt in your hand. I'll

go back. Listen.

I'm just gonna read this appearance. Get your hands dirty

into family devotions, get your hands on your children, pray

when they sleep, lay a hand on the door of

your teenager.

But listen.

One of the greatest experiences I had, I was in

the home studio about three am. Brendan was eighteen. He

came in the room, he was late, and said, hey,

and he's talked to you about something. And I said, okay,

I kind of already knew. Have you ever had a

teenager and you know something's going on? You can see

the guilt on their face when they walk through the door.

And I was kind of confront it earlier, and the

Lord said, wait, because you're mad. You don't want to

do it when you're mad. You want to be able

to act like you're mad. It's pretty cool. And I said, okay,

I'll wait. I want to rip the kid's head off.

And he sat down and kind of caught. He scared me.

Speakers quiet behind you. I said, okay. He said, hey,

I know it's wrong, but I'm struggling with it and

I need help. I said, okay, what's the matter. In

reality set in and I came to this conclusion that

the only way he ever actually had a conversation with

me that day was when I told him no, when

I thought an idea was stupid, or when I disapproved

of his actions. And then I started to realize that

that's the actually way he's only seeing God as well.

Parents listen to me tell them no, but fight to

tell them yes, fight.

To approve what they're doing right.

Because I'm sorry, I don't want my daughter to see

my Jesus, my King of the one that only says

no and shut up and be quiet. That God created

Adam in the image of his son Jesus, and loved

him like his son Jesus. And on that dreadful day

where he gave them the opportunity of love through obedience

and relationship with him, knowing what could happen, knowing the

possibilities of it going right, he made an investment and

breathed his breath into Adam.

For a crunch of an apple to break his heart.

And you may say, man, this is kind of foreign

to Adam, and even well, the reality of it is.

God made an investment in Adam that he may never

see a return, For you are never more like Jesus.

Then when you make investments you may never see. Here

on earth, we're in your lifetime. You're standing in one.

This building is off the back of hard work, pastors

and laymen.

And people.

They said, I'm gonna sacrifice. I'm gonna give my time,

but not just time. I'm gonna give my money to

sustain it. And through his investment, God gave Adam the

ability to dream, to create, to plan, have talent, and

steward the authority he was given.

In the lot.

Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust

of the ground. He breathed and the breath of life

into Adam's nostrils, and the man became a living person.

Then the Lord God had planted a garden in the

garden in Eden in the last and there he placed

the man. He made the Lord God made all sorts

of trees grow up from the ground that were beautiful

and produced delicious fruit. In the middle of the garden

he placed the tree of life and the tree of

knowledge of good and evil. And a river flowed from

the land of Eden. Next scripture, if it's there cool,

He created Adam, He created Eve. He said, I give

you all authority, take dominion, take ownership. And it felled

in despite of Adam and Eve. The Lord made another investment.

He killed a lamb and clothed them for you. Another

investment he made, not knowing the choices they would make

going forward, not knowing the choices you would make in

this room. And it started from dirt. It started from dirt.

You started from dirt. Adam started from dirt. And I

just I do have a question for you today. What

are you gonna what are you gonna do with what's

in your hand?

Is it just dirt?

It's the talent, the gifting, the authority that the Lord

has given you.

Is it just dirt? Because he's called you.

He's created you to build, he's created you to lead,

he's created you to serve. He's given you talents. He's

given you dreams, he's given you passions, He's given you compassion.

I'm sorry, I don't want to get to my life,

the end of my life.

And I greet the kink and I wrap his arms

around him.

He says, hey, I love you too, But reach down.

And I pull out of my pocket seats that were

never thrown. Hey, what did you do with your kids?

What seeds did you plant? Hey? Your talent? What what

are you gonna do it? Why didn't you use it?

That dream you had.

That you always mismanaged and put off four the other day,

why didn't you step into it? I was reading that

some of the greatest songs, the greatest sermons, the greatest companies,

the greatest businesses.

Lay in a graveyard.

That some of the greatest wealth in the world doesn't

sit within the banks, but it sits in the graves

of men and women and children that were just never used.

It's just dirt. And this is my prayer for you today.

Is that maybe you leave here with a new curiosity

of how God has created you, who God has created

to be, what He has put in you, what He

has called you to. Maybe it's a holy carrier, or

maybe you leave here with a passion. And maybe you

leave here on fire because God actually put his hand

on it and pointed it to it. And maybe you're

here today you've ben wait and say, God, just put

your hand on it. Hey, God, if I do.

This, will you bless it?

I've been there. I've also been there, and he didn't

bless it. I've ignored it. There was a lady that

used to come to the old cornerstone, that cornerstone tabernacle,

cornerstone assembly, and I was working hospitality, and there are

some things that I was just shoving off to another day. Hey,

I'll do that later in life. I'll handle this later

in life. YadA, YadA, YadA. It's not worth it's a

small idea. It ain't worth worrying about. It been on

my mind all week. And this lady came through the

door and she's.

Kind of quiet, and she said, past her shame.

I just feel like the Lord has told me to

take tell you what's in your hand is not small.

What He's placed into you is not small and special,

that you're fearfully and wonderfully made, and some of the

things you've been praying about walking into He's already placed

in your heart.

To start with, can we go over to two.

Timothy, starting in first one. Since this letter is from Paul,

chosen by the will of God to be an apostle

of Christ Jesus, I have been sent out to tell

others about life he has promised through faith in Jesus Christ.

I am writing to.

Timothy, my dear son. May God the Father and Christ

Jesus our Lord give you grace, mercy and peace. Timothy,

I thank God for you, the God I served with

a clear conscience.

That's important.

Just as my ancestors did died and day. I constantly

remember you and my prayers. I long to see you again,

for I remember your tears as we parted, and I

would be filled with joy when we were together again.

I remember your genuine.

Faith, for you share the faith that filled your grandmother

Lois and your mother Eunice, and I know the same

faith continues strong in you.

This is why I remind you. Fan into the flames the.

Spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands

on you. Parents, be intentional. Be intentional about what you

impart to your kids, please, because if you're not intentional,

I guarantee you there's a thousand other influences in their

pocket that will. And I love my cell phone. It's

got to be used correctly. It's a tool, not a trap.

This is why I remind you to fan the flames

the spiritual gift of God gave you when I laid

my hands on you. For God has not given us

the spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love,

and self disciplined. I don't care how talented you are,

how gifted you are, how wise you are, how good

of a parent you are, how good of an athlete,

how good of a son you are. It requires self discipline.

I'm gonna keep reading. So never be ashamed to tell

others about our Lord. And don't be ashamed of me either,

even though I'm in prison for him. With the strength

God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for

the sake of the good news. For God saved us,

called us to live a holy life. He did this

not because we deserve it, but but because what his

plan from before the beginning of time to show us

his grace through Christ Jesus. And now He has made

all of his plan to us. By the appearance of

Christ Jesus, our Savior. He broke the power of death

and eliminated the way of life and immortality.

Through the good News.

And God shows me to be a preacher and a

possible and a teacher of his good News. And this

is why I'm suffering here in prison, because I'm not

ashamed of it, for I know the one whom I trust,

and that he is able to guard what I've entrusted

to him until the day of his return. Hold on

to the pattern of wholesome teaching you learn from me,

a pattern shaped by the faith and love that you

have in Christ Jesus. Through the power of the Holy

Spirit who lives within us, carefully guard the truth that

has been entrusted to you. My prayer is a few

questions stirred gifts within you this morning, and I have

some questions to ask you. You're ready, you'll take notes

in church you go to heaven. If you do, you

have a phone, I guarantee you, with the power of

apple intelligence, you can hit that microphone and it will

exactly copy every word I say through this broadcast system.

Number one, What are you good at? What are you

good at? That's that should be easy one to answer.

Somebody say I'm just okay at everything? No, no, no, no,

no self discipline? Hear me out. What do others say

you're good at? What do other people see in you?

I remember my grandma. I don't know why because I.

I She said that.

I used to stand at the glass door and I'd

preach to myself in the mirror of it. It's kind

of weird now that I think about it. What frustrates you?

Listen? I have an answer for that.

Maybe you are actually called to fix what frustrates you.

Maybe there's a holy angst inside of you that says

I cannot live and see inside of me. There is

a rage, there's an anger, there's a calling, there's a

desire to see what is frustrating fixed at Social Justice

Ministry Network, two people that are called to action by

frustration in today's dark, broken world food bank? Were you

at Miss Tina h fixing what frustrates you?

Now?

I'm not talking. I'm not talking about the petty things.

Maybe it's too loud. It's too loud at church. The

words are late, the stream sounds funny. And this is

me who keeps slamming the doors.

But I have answered that too.

But what breaks your heart? What breaks your heart?

Tell you what breaks mine? It's people that have been

bought with a price, loved by a heavenly father, live

not knowing who they are.

And what they've been bought with.

Another thing that breaks my heart. And you should know

this is a lonely generation. It was said that back

in twenty twenty that youth ministry used to all be

be about the crowds and dynamic services and loud music

and cool lights and shenanigans, the craziest most extreme games.

But the thing, but the spectrum has shifted and it's

all about ministering to the lonely places. And I'll tell

you how to fix the lonely places. If you have

passionate about? What do you wake up and it's the

first thing that actually comes across your mind? What comes

to your mind that you can actually not escape from

once it's there? What are you passionate about? Because if

we are not careful, we can live with these things

inside of us our whole life. And the Lord is

trying to put his finger on a few things this

morning and say live. Gifts, come alive, passion come alive,

dreams come alive.

Listen to me.

There's this epidemic in the workplace of quiet quitters. You

show up to work, but you quit the minute you

walk through the door. God doesn't need quiet quitters in

the world. He doesn't need quiet leaders. He doesn't need

how do I say this, He doesn't need halfway workers

in the kitchen and in the workplace.

Either. God wants your gift one Corinthians ten thirty.

One or one Peter four eleven.

I have two there.

Do you have the gift of speaking and speak as

though God himself were speaking through you? Do you have

the gift of helping others. Do it with all your

strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do

will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ, all glory

and all power word Him and forever.

Amen. God wants your gift. He wants your best.

Listen to me, If you do everything you can do

in the natural, he will do the rest of the

supernatural natural. Every single time. Pastor Steve says this all

the time. He says, you gotta work like it's all you,

and you gotta pray like it's all up to God,

and you gotta know the difference between the two. God

wants it, but you know who else wants it, the devil.

Lucifer. I hate that guy.

I hate when he gets it. He wants your marriage

first Corinthians seven to five. Do not deprive each other

of sexual relations unless you both agree to a fraind

from sexual intimacy for a limited time so you can

give yourself more completely to prayer afterward.

Listen to me.

Your marriage is so important that he says, hey, do

not fast it unless it's agreed upon. You should, and

you should come together again so that Satan won't be

able to tempt you because of your lack of self control.

He wants your marriage. God loves your marriage. If you

have teenagers, God loves your marriage more than your teenagers.

It's very, very important. He emphasized it throughout his word

that marriage is very dear to him. And listen to me,

married folk, not your boyfriend, not your girlfriend, not that

relationship you call your boyfriend or girlfriend, because you'll kind

of have the same lease agreement. Sorry, if you don't

cherish the one God gave you and set time for

it and make an effort and serve it as if

they were Jesus. The enemy has this, he'll take it.

He wants your kids. We see that all throughout society.

They believe this. Live where they don't even know what

gender they are. They're lonely, the lonely generation. Ever, even

though they have social media on their phone. I'm gonna

confuse their identity. I'm gonna make them believe there's something

they're not by what they listen to. When you have

a dude from Gainesville, Georgia, tall, pretty shaggy hair where

in fear to fear of God, essential Adidas, and for

some reason he has a shisty mask on, like.

Who are you quit. Who are they? Let's confuse them.

Let's not just confuse their sexual identity, because that's highlighted,

but let's confuse their actual identity. Psalms one three through five.

Child or a gift from the Lord. They are a

reward from him. Children born to a young man are

like arrows in a warrior's hands. How joyful is the

man whose quiver is full of them? He will not

be put to shame when he confronts his accusers at

the city gates.

What are you doing with it?

What are you doing with your kids? And the enemy

wants your influence? One Timothy three to six. A church

leader must not be a new believer because he might

become proud, and the devil will cause him to fall.

How does the devil get your influence?

When you're prideful about the things in your hand, you

are never more like the devil. Then when you're arrogant,

and you guess what, you're the last person on his

hit list. When you are arrogant, because God wants the

glory for your gifts. My generation grew up on talented

people that kept their hand closed to it and used

it for their own glory, for their self, for their

own ambition and it has changed the culture today. But lastly,

people want your gift. And I believe there's talent in

this room. I believe there's dreamers in this room. But

people hurt people, and we say amen, if we're the

ones that I'm take it like, if we're the only

ones that happens to I can't.

I don't have this thing figured out.

And I by the time your life ends, you're probably

gonna hurt someone.

You're gonna be overlooked.

Someone's gonna say things that pluck on the heartstrings that

just destroy you on the inside. Yeah, you may do

it too. Most certainly you probably will. And if you're

not careful, you'll let the things that are said, the

things you go through, take that gift and hold it

close to you and bring it in and bury it. No,

I'm gonna read this.

I couldn't. I want to say to right.

People will hurt you. You're probably going to hurt some people.

Let's be honest. Maybe you used to do a lot

of things, but you got bit too many times, you

got overlooked too many times, you got talked over or

down to too many times, and you can get ready

to You used to dream, lead, work hard, serving on

a team, be creative, love well. But maybe that investment

it didn't turn out like you thought it would. What

you have to understand is that doesn't disqualify you from purpose.

It doesn't disqualified the breath that has been put on

the inside of you. It doesn't disqualify you from the

blessing and the influence and the open doors that God

has from you keeps trying to take me out. Guys,

there's one thing you have to understand. You don't live

for the response of people. You don't live from the

affection of people. You've been made righteous. That means I've

been graced with right standing from God. That means that

I don't live from a place of needing love. I

live from a place of receiving love. And that means

it's really cool. It's because you don't have to love

me for me to love you.

You don't have to love me.

Or approve of the gifting and the talents of my

life for me to still have purpose. That means I

don't live for your applaud I live for his and

listen to me. It is very easy if you're not careful,

because there's giftings inside of you that you're waiting for

people to approve of.

And God, it says, no, I already did.

Let's look at Jesus for a second perfect son of God.

The new Adam came lived heartbreak that it never crippled him,

lived misunderstood, and it never stopped him. Misrepresented by people

that prayed for Messiah to come. For every doubt, it's

just another investment he made into humanity. Every moment of

sorrow he experienced, was just another investment he made into humanity.

For every scar, for every lash on his back, was

just another investment for you and me. And the final one,

it was three nails. Father, forgive them, or they don't

know what they do.

I don't know that.

I don't know what they're gonna do with this opportunity.

They have so many choices to make, so many options,

and they may choose me or they may not. But

for you, for me, not so that I could walk

with a closed hand, Not that I could I could

fight in security and live in the approval of people,

so that I could live with purpose, So I could

walk in freedom, so I could have a place, so

I can actually fit into a group, and not worry

about what people.

Think to me, think of me, or think about me.

That can be myself in.

Because you're gifting your identity, your authority, your grace. It

comes from Hell, comes from them, and we'll just stand

all across the room day. Some people say, don't preach

about grace, it's dangerous. Well, I'm gonna preach about it

a lot. I'm gonna scream it from the rooftop because

I've discovered it's very hard to abuse because it's so powerful.

Every time I've been given grace, it's changed my life.

In the morning. This morning, you've been giving grace. If

you're here.

Today, no one looking around is at the back.

He close your eyes for a slight second. Here, I'm

ready to get you out of here. You here today, say.

Say hey, I don't know Jesus, but I want you

today because I want to live in His approval, his righteousness.

I want to have right steading with God today. That's

ask you. We just raise your head, just raising crazy. Yeah,

I want to live in his approval. I want to

live in his righteousness.

Maybe you're here today and you say, hey, I'm going

that quit. I quit up my job, but I'm still there.

I quit that team, but I'm still here. I quit

that relationship, but I'm still in it. Maybe you're ready

to get your hands during yet. Maybe it's time to

wake up. Maybe it's time to wake up this dreams again,

wake up.

That passion again. And you said, hey, I just want

to wake up this morning. Let you raise your hand

for you. I just want to wake up. Yeah, you're

not alone. I want to pray.

I want to count three.

If you raise your hand, I believe that God is.

Waiting here for you, ready to encounter you right where

you're at.

Prayer a team you feel get grand Father and Jesus name.

I want to pray for every heart in this room.

We love you, We thank you that you're here. And Jesus,

when you show up, you change everything. You change every name,

your name would pray?
