A Great House - Week 7 (Palm Sunday 2025)

We're going to continue our series the Great House, and

I want to talk to you today about the Great House.

It's go to John chapter twelve, John chapter twelve, starting

in verse twelve.

If you're there, say Amen.

If you're not, oh my, the old MIAs follow along

the old Me's underline. John chapter twelve, verse twelve. The

next day of great multitude that had come to the

feast when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem

took branches of palm trees and went out to meet

him and cried out, Hosannah, blessed is he who comes

in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel.

Let's pray, Father, we thank you for your word. It's

the only change agent on the face of the planet.

And I pray that Father, you change us at the

very fabric of our being.

Shape us more into your image today, a little less

of us and a little more of you, that we

would understand our assignment and the glorious.

Future we have in Jesus' name. Amen.

You know a lot of times when we talk about

Palm Sunday and we read that entry Jesus is you know.

One important thing is that Jesus chose to ride in

on a donkey and not a war horse. Come on, somebody.

He wasn't prepared for battle. He was prepared to serve

because he was a servant leader. Israel was looking for

one salvation, but Jesus was all about another salvation. They

were looking for a military overthrow of their occupying force,

but Jesus was looking for an overthrow of the spiritual

forces of evil that had controlled the hearts of men, women,

boys and girls. And he came in, and he was

positioning himself, and as he rode in, they began to

cry out. And we use it as a gray, as

a great exhortation, as a great moment of praise. And

they said, Hosannah, Hosannah, Hosannah. But literally, in its most

pure form, Hosannah means God save me, God save me.

They're crying, God save me, Save me, Save me. And

they were looking for a salvation that Jesus was up bringing.

They were looking for him.

To restore the nation of Israel, but he was looking

to restore the Kingdom of God in the hearts and

lives of people. And everything that Jesus did was about

saving humanity, about bridging the gap between Holy God and

fallen man.

His whole life was an example.

Of living pointed towards the kingdom and pointed towards the Father.

And ultimately, when we talk about the things that Jesus did,

he did so many things for us during our life

here on earth. But I think that a lot of

times we get so consumed with with Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Come on, somebody, that we forget there's another aspect to

kingdom living. And if that is the moment we're saved,

the moment we're born again, we become eternal beings. Y'all

got kind of quiet, looked at me weird when I

said that the moment you get saved, you become an

eternal being. It's not after you die. It's the moment

you get saved. The soulish part of you that that

that spirit man inside you never has to worry about

death again. You're eternal. From that moment on, you're pointed

towards the everlasting. And there is the great house. We

talk We've talked about building our great house, we've talked

about building this great house. But there is a great

house that is built for us that's not made with

human hands. There's a great house that's made for us.

That uh that that we must live towards an embrace

because all of the current sufferings, all.

Of the.

Impositions, all of the afflictions that we encounter now are

nothing compared to the great glory that lies ahead.

Now, let me go ahead and tell.

Y'all today's message is different than the way I normally preach. Okay,

I'm gonna teach more today, but I feel like the

Lord has given me something for you. So I want

you to still get excited. If you want to get excited, come.

On, write it down. If you want to write it down. Amen.

Amen, But just know that that today is not that

that normal, one hundred percent application kind of message that

that I normally preach. So this is a little more teaching.

So let's let's get started. John chapter fourteen, Verse one.

John Chapter fourteen, Verse one. Let not your heart be troubled.

You believe in God, believe also in me. In my

Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so,

I would have told you I go to prepare a

place for you. And if I go and prepare a

place for you, I will come again and receive you

to myself. That where I am there, you may be also,

And where I go, you know, and the way you know,

Jesus says, I'm going away, and I'm stepping out of

the natural, into the supernatural, into eternity, and I'm preparing

a place for humanity. And you may not understand it yet,

but you know where I'm going. You know the way

to get there. And I'm going and I'm going to

prepare the great house. I'm going to prepare the place

of your eternal dwelling. I'm going to prepare a place

that I has not seen, ear is not heard, the

majesty and the glory of that city and that house.

That is to come.

This house is so big and so great, and so

immense that it contains many mansions on the inside that

it's not fathomable to the human mind the glory that

awaits for those who love Him that are called according

to His purpose. That that is the place that Jesus

is going to prepare. Not a great house, not a

great not a great place for us to come and

assemble together as believers here on earth, not even that

epicenter of spirituality that we talk about our homes, where

the spiritual foundations for our children and our grandchildren, and

all of those things are laid and the Church comes

along to support the home. Come on, somebody, let me

just chase that for just one second.

Listen. I want you to understand.

That it is important for you to live spirituality in

your home and allow the Church to be a resource

for that. When you come here and you hear me preach,

go home and chase that through the Bible. Don't just

take my word for it, because if you take my

word for it. Now, listen, I want you to understand

that I'm very theologically conservative. I mean, I'm just if

the Bible doesn't say it, I don't preach it. Come on, somebody,

I'm just kind of straight down the line.

But you may move somewhere else.

And if you're taking my word from it for it,

you may take his word for it, and he may

not be never mind. Never mind, So go home and

make your home the place of the center of spirituality

for your family. In Second Corinthians, chapter five, verse six,

it says, so we are always confident, knowing that while

we are at home in the body, we are absent

from the Lord, for we.

Walk by faith and not by sight. Now I want

you to take everything we've heard.

Now listen, you live your life this way, and people

are gonna say that's not true. There's no heaven, there's

no this, there's no that. And remember, we carry ourselves

with dignity. We carry ourselves wrapped.

In love, don't. We don't quarrel because that just brings strife.

We live by faith, and when listen, when we live

by faith, we paint a picture.

We paint a.

Portrait of what God looks like, and other people can

see us and know there's a.

God through the way we live when we live by faith.

But so many times we just like Israel, we're looking

for salvation from other things. We're looking for salvation from

our troubled relationships. We're looking for salvation from our troubled

bank account. We're looking for salva. We're looking for salvation

from our afflictions in our body. We're looking for salvation

from all those things. But the reality is, if we

live by faith and we seek first the Kingdom of God,

then all of those other things will be added to us.

We don't seek God for his hands. We seek God

for his faith. We don't seek him for what he

can do. We seek him for who he is, and

that produces a cloud of faith that surrounds us that

people look at us say, hey, those people are a

little different than everybody else. Those crazy people down at cornerstone,

they just don't worry about things that everybody else will

come on somebody see. That's faith, and that points people

towards God. And while we're present in this body, while

we're present here, the Jesus in us is the only

Jesus that the world will see.

But to be absent from the body.

That transition moment, that moment when we go from here

to over under, Come on, now, Lord over yonder, that's

somewhere else.

Loris northern.

I have to understand sometimes when I speak Southern, I

like to interpret. So when you go from here to

over yonder, when you head over under, that's where Jesus is.

Jesus is over under. We're at just over yonder. Nobody

knows exactly where he's at. I don't think you can

go high enough to get to him, just like I

don't think you can go deep enough to get to

the devil. You move from the natural to the supernatural,

and that transition happens, and the moment, the moment we die,

we cross that plain, and to be absent from the

body is to be present with.

The Lord.

That that moment in an instant, and I know a

lot of people we worry about that moment, but there

is no worry in that moment because the glory of the.

Transition, the glory of being.

With Jesus, and the moment we're in his presence. The

Bible says that in His presence there is fullness of joy.

Now listen, I if y'all hang around me very much,

you know, I'm a pretty joyful person.

You know.

I just love I just love life. It doesn't matter

what container comes. I just love life.

You know.

It's kind of like my wife loves Amazon. Come on, somebody,

it doesn't matter what's in the box. When the Amazon

box shows us, She's like, yeah, you know, that's just

kind of how I am about life. Sometimes, you know,

it's not as big of a box as other days.

Amen.

Sometimes the box is all beat up. But I love life.

I just love having the opportunity to encounter people and

experience what God has for me in that moment. But

as joyful as I can be, as much joy as

I have in my heart, it pales in comparison to

the moment of true transition, where we're with the Lord

and we receive fullness of joy. I think that if

we receive the fullness of joy in this body, our

body would explode, because this earth tint is not created

to experience that kind of glory and encounter with the Lord.

Amen.

So to be absent from the body is to be

present with the Lord. But I don't want there to

be confusion about what that transition is because there's a

lot of steps between there and the Great House. There's

a lot of steps between there and New Jerusalem. But now, remember,

to be absent from the body is to be present

with the Lord.

In one Thessalonians, chapter four, verse.

Fifteen, it says, for this we say to you by

the word of the Lord, that we who are alive

and remain until the coming of the Lord, will by

no means be preceded by those who are asleep. Listen, Uh,

Pastor's mama, I call her miss married Grandma Mary, just

what I called her, you know, just we just had

that relationship with whatever I said, she responded to it.

Amen.

Sometimes I would say Angie, she would say, hey, sweetheart,

It didn't matter, you know. She just repe she she

used to tell me all the time. She would say.

I would say, listen, you may outlive me. And she'd say,

oh no, oh no, I'm not us. I tell you what,

why don't we just go at the same time and

we'll be in a foot race. And she said, honey,

I'm gonna have a six foot head start on you.

And the Bible says that that listen, those who were

who are dead in Christ are no different than those

of us who remain, That there is a moment.

Where those things.

Are somewhat equalled out, That there is that moment of

transition for all of God, God's children, that for all

of us as believers, and that we will nothing, that

they will not presive, that we will not preceed those

who are asleep, For the Lord himself will descend from

heaven with a shout and the voice of an archangel,

and with the trumpet of God.

The dead in Christ will rise first.

Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught

up together with them in the clouds to meet the

Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be

with the Lord. Therefore, comfort one another with these words.

It's the rapture of the church. Now, listen this little word.

There's so much craziness over that little word rapture.

You know.

I have had people who have just absolutely thrown pastors,

who have thrown down and argued with me that there

is no rapture because the word rapture does not appear

in scripture. The word football does not appear in scripture either.

But every Sunday I watch it.

There's lots of things, there's lots of words that are

not there, but the principle is there.

The precept is there. We gave it the name.

We gave it the name, and it's okay that we

gave it the name because it is something that is

going to happen, and it doesn't matter what we name it.

Some people call next Sunday Easter. Some people call it

Resurrection Day. I don't care what you call it. It's

on the way. And I don't care what you call

the snatching away, the pulling away. I don't care what

you call it. It's coming. It's on the way. It's

already positioned and hung in eternity, and we're waiting on

the timeline to catch it up. It could be this

afternoon if it's great, great, I will have to study

next week for an Easter message. I'm always looking to

have a day off.

Amen.

So that rapture, that calling away, where the dead in

Christ rise and where the church is taken to be

with the Lord in the air. And immediately following the rapture,

we move from that rapture and believers move into the.

Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

In Revelation chapter nineteen, verse nine, it says, then he

said to me, right, blessed are those who were called

to the marriage supper of the Lamb.

And he said to me, these are the true sayings

of God.

So when we're called away, we are the bride of

Christ to be reunited with the groom. And there is

a great celebration, that marriage supper of the Lamb, where

we sit and we celebrate that your faithfulness, look at me,

your faithfulness, your ability to try us to God through

situation and circumstance.

And you're reunited with your groom.

That day that there will be a celebration that we

call believers call the marriage Supper of the Lamb. And

simultaneously with the marriage Supper of the Lamb. It's not

such a pretty picture here on earth. So while we're

in the at the banquet table, the marriage supper of

the Lamb here on earth is that thing that people

call tribulation. That's seven years of immense suffering and pain.

Now listen, I want you to understand. People say, why

would God do that? God means for no one to

be here during that. God's plan is for not one

person to be here during tribulation. God's plan is for

every single person to be at the marriage supper of

the Lamb. That's God's desire, that's God's will. That's God's

will that none should perish but the average, but that

all should have everlasting life life. It should be our

mandate to make sure everybody's there first loaders, Amen.

But for those that are.

Left, because we know there are, because scripture says, just

because God foretells it and God says it doesn't mean

he wants it. Get over yourself and understand that sovereignty

doesn't mean God wants it.

He accepts it.

God has a plan and a way, and he's big

enough for those of us that receive it, and he's

also big enough for those who choose not to that sovereignty.

That He's big enough and strong enough to not do

anything about it. It's like letting your children learn those

hard lessons. We have to stand back sometimes and let

them know that that wall's hard when they bang their

head into it.

Amen. And he allows it to learn those lessons.

So the world is going through tribulation while we're at

the great marriage Supper of the Lamb, this banquet feast

and celebrating the bride in the groom being reunited. And

then at the end of that marriage Supper of the Lamb,

at the end of tribulation, Jesus will mount that white

horse that we read about in Revelation. He'll ride back

to Earth. We will follow. There will be it's not

much of a battle. It's not much of a fight.

And he meets in Armageddon and he does this thing

and he wins the war, and he binds the enemy,

and he holds the enemy prisoner, and we enter what's

called the millennial rain.

Now, listen, I know.

That a lot of people get concerned now because that

doesn't mean that the millennials are in charge.

Amen, Not what that means.

You know, when when when when that generation was named millennials,

And we see some of the things I'm like, oh no,

but people are not gonna want any part of that.

But it means for a thousand years, there's a rule

and reign of Christ on earth for a thousand years.

Where we rule as a kingdom of priests, and.

There's gonna be people born, and there's gonna be people

that die. There's gonna be things that happen, people that

that did not go in the first load.

There's going to be people.

That that that that that experienced things on earth.

And at the end of that thousand years.

It says that that the devil Satan will be released

to deceive one more time because everyone has to make

the decision to trust Jesus as their savior, so they

have to they have to push back that same deception

that we work against every single day. Amen, where it

comes up and he says, hey, if you do this,

it's easier, or that fruit it looks good, it tastes good,

it'll make you wise. That that deception, he'll be released

and he'll deceive one final time, and then he'll be

cast into the lake of fire, and then the judgments

will happen.

Now, when when you stand judgment, I.

Want you to understand something as a believer, you know,

there's a lot of people that fear what that looks like.

That we're going to stand before God and he's going

to say, all right, Jeremy, you did this right, you

did that wrong, that wrong, that wrong, that wrong, that wrong,

and that right and that right. That's not the way

judgment looks. Scripture says that when we repent of our sin,

that Jesus washes us of our sin and he casts

that sin away and remembers it no more. If he

remembers it no more, how is he going to bring

it back up in judgment. So we're going to stand

before Jesus and he's going to talk about the great

accomplishments that we had for the kingdom. He's going to

talk about the good things, because the old has passed

away and all things are made new, and those things

are relinquished. Those things are gone, and we're judged and

we are rewarded, rewarded according to those good things we

did for the kingdom. And then the kingdom. Then the

judgment of sinners looks very different, and there's not a

whole lot of talk because the decisions already made and

the loss will stand before him and he'll say guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty,

and they'll join the enemy in.

The lake of fire.

It's God's will that nobody goes to the lake of

fire except the devil.

That's God's will. Church. We need to get busy.

We need to get busy because the percentage of Christians

in America is shrinking every day. Christians are dying faster

than you. Christians are being born again in the United

States of America. And that's not an indictment on God,

that's an indict on the Church. We have to live

our lives missional. We have to live our lives out

loud and focused towards the community. And at the end

of that, at the end of that judgment, Pastor Clay,

you guys can come and get ready.

At the end of that we find.

We find Revelation chapter twenty one, starting in verse one.

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth,

for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.

Also there was no more sea than I John saw

the Holy City, that great house, the great House, the

one that we read about and the one that we

shout about, and the one that we celebrate, where the

streets of gold in the crystal sea, that place where

where Jesus is the life, there's neither dot night nor day,

because Jesus Us himself is the light. Then I John

saw so the Holy City New Jerusalem, coming down out

of Heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for

her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, behold,

the Tabernacle of God is with men, and He will

dwell with them, and they shall be His people.

God himself will be with them and be their God.

That literally, just like in the Garden of Eden where

he came and he walked with Adam and Eve in

the still of the evening, That he'll do that for you.

That he will have face to face fellowship, That there will.

Be true communion with God in the Great House, that

will be overwhelm by His glory, and that worship will

flow out of us.

Like it never has before.

Where there's no more pain, there's no more tears, there's

no more hurt, there's no more sorrow.

It's hard for my mind to wrap around.

The concept that all of those things, because every one

of those things are contrary to the nature and will

of God, that those things are gone and eradicated. That

brokenheartedness that you feel won't be there anymore, but that

struggle won't be there anymore.

It's just complete enjoyment with the Lord. You know, when

we read John chapter fourteen, we left off in verse.

Four and Jesus said, you know the way.

But then good old Thomas, the doubter, he brings up something.

And maybe there's.

Somebody here today that you don't know the way. You

don't know how to get there. You don't know how

to make it to the Great House to enjoy these

things that I've talked about today.

But we pick up back in John chapter fourteen, verse five.

Thomas said to him, Lord, we do not know where

you're going and how we can know the way. And

Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth

and the life.

No one comes to the Father except through me.

Jesus is the way, the Truth, and the life. You

can't be good enough to get to Heaven. You can't

worship somebody else to get to heaven. You can't give

enough to the Building Fund to get to Heaven. You listen,

the only way is through Jesus. And right now, in

this moment, if you're here and when you ask yourself

the question, do you know do you know beyond a

shadow of a doubt, that if you die today or

if the trumpet call of God happened today, do you

know that you would go to heaven. If the answer

to that.

Is I'm not sure or no, then this is your moment.

If your answer to that as well, you know I

pray to prayer a few years ago, but I've allowed

sin to come between me and the Lord, and I

don't feel as close to the Lords as I used

to feel.

Why one, why wonder? Why leave any why leave any.

Opportunity for anything? But if you're here today and you

want to come back to Jesus or you want to

trust him for the very first time give your life

to him, now is your moment. I want everybody to

close your eyes and bow your heads. If you're here

today and you don't know that you know that, you

know that you would make it to the Great House,

but you want to leave here knowing that, slip up

your hand right now, say that's my pastor pray for me.

I want to know that I know. Just put your

hand up, put it right back down. I want to erase.

Any doubt gonna wait just another moment.

Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen, I see that hand. We got

just a little bit longer.

So let's wait. Holy Spirit's moving and tugging on people's hearts.

Just put your hand up, put it right back down.

I just want to make sure, Pastor. I just want

to make sure Pastor pray for me. I want to

make sure I don't know that I know that I know.

Slip your hand up and put it right back down.

If you just want that assurance. Mm hmm.

Amen. Every eye open, every head and looking around. Everybody,

stand to your feet. Let me have some of our

our alter team come listen.

Here.

Here's where it gets real, all of the promise of

eternity and all the glory that comes with it. Faith.

We walk by faith. So if you raised your hand,

or if you didn't raise your hand, but now you

know you should have. I'm gonna to three. When I

get to three, if you raise your hands, step out

from where you're sitting. Don't wait, don't look around. This

is your time to make sure things are right between

you and the Lord. If you didn't raise your hand,

but now you're saying yeah, I'm ready. When I count

to three, I want you to step out and come,

step out and come.

The band's gonna.

Sing, and you just come and you find somebody that

you want to pray with, somebody that you think is nice,

and you come and pray with them, and they want

to believe God with you. They're gonna pray a prayer

with you. It's on the count.

Three.

I want you to step out and come one.

Please don't hold back.

Two three, step out and come right now. Come on,

come on, come on, come on, come on, come on,

step out and come right now, step out and come

right now.

Come on. There's more, there's more, come on, come on.

I want everything. I want to know that, I know

that I know. Oh everything is right. Come on, come on,

where are you? Come on, come on, step out me.

It doesn't matter how young you are, doesn't matter how

old you are. Step out and come right now. Come on,

come on, come on, come on, come on, come on,

come on, come on, come on, come on, come on. Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen, amen.

The alders are open as the Holy Spirit tugs on

your heart. Just step out and move. Just step out

and come passion, clay.
