  1. Amen, Amen, and amen, thank you guys so much.

  2. Our usher is going to continue to come.

  3. But uh, we're we're gonna move into uh listen, we're

  4. gonna close out our series today clean house.

  5. And I want to tell you that today is.

  6. Uh today is not the easiest message to preach, amen, uh,

  7. because uh you know we're going to uh we're gonna

  8. talk about the state of uh the church. And I

  9. don't mean this building. I don't mean somebody else's building.

  10. I mean the people who make up the church because

  11. throughout history we have always been a group of broken,

  12. hurting people. Let me say that again, a broken hurting people.

  13. And just like other people, we uh, we lean into

  14. other means rather than Jesus to have those needs met

  15. to find that place of peace. And I think that

  16. displeases the Lord.

  17. So if you.

  18. Got a Bible, go to Second Timothy chapter three, Second

  19. Timothy chapter three. We're gonna start in verse one, Second

  20. Timothy to three, verse one. If you're there, say amen,

  21. and there's lots of old mis already happened. That's all right, y'all.

  22. Follow along on the screen. Second Timothy chapter three, verse one.

  23. But know this that in the last days perilous times

  24. will come. Now let me, but let's let me just

  25. this is all free. You didn't give the offer. This,

  26. this is free. This is just a little just a

  27. little prop up from what we're talking about. He didn't

  28. say in the end times. He said in the last days.

  29. There are the last days. The end times began when

  30. Jesus ascended to heaven. That's when the end time began.

  31. We've been waiting for end times to start, but the

  32. end times began then there was nothing else that had

  33. to be fulfilled. From that moment on, he was ready

  34. to come back the next day if the Father chose,

  35. we've been living an end time tis the last days

  36. are the very end of the end times.

  37. Come on, somebody.

  38. It's when we begin to see a lot of those

  39. prophecies fulfilled. It's when we begin to wait with bated

  40. breath for the return of the Lord, to hear that

  41. trumpet call and that shout and the eastern sky part

  42. and Jesus stepped from the supernatural into the natural and

  43. call his children home. And it's a day that I

  44. look for every single day.

  45. Amen. And if you don't look for it, you should.

  46. And really the reason is because Maybe you're holding on

  47. to some things you shouldn't hold on to, and I

  48. don't even mean sin. Maybe you're holding on to some guilt.

  49. Maybe you're holding on to some shame. Maybe you're holding

  50. on to things that the Lord has already forgiven you

  51. of and forgotten about, and you just don't think you're ready.

  52. But I want you to know that if you have repented,

  53. the blood of Jesus has washed you clean.

  54. But know this and nice days.

  55. Perilous times will come, for men will be lovers of themselves,

  56. lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents. Oh

  57. I just felt, somebody just felt that.

  58. It's my daughter in here. I'm just kid, I'm just kidding.

  59. I'm just yeah, I'm just kidding.

  60. Disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving slanderers without self control,

  61. brutal despisers of good, traders, headstrong, hot, haughty, lovers of

  62. pleasure rather than lovers of God Verse five, having a

  63. form of godliness but denying its power, and from such

  64. people turn away. For of this sort, or though those

  65. who creep into households and make captives of gullible women,

  66. loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always

  67. learning and never able to come to the knowledge of

  68. the truth. Now, as Janus and Johnbras resisted Moses, so

  69. do these people also resist the truth, men of corrupt minds,

  70. disapproved concerning the faith. But they will progress no further,

  71. for their folly will be manifest to all as theirs

  72. also was.

  73. And I don't want to read March.

  74. Sixteen to you, and we're gonna put We're gonna we're

  75. gonna preach these things together in context and just kind

  76. of just lay some things out for you and then

  77. give you an opportunity to respond however you want to respond.

  78. Mark Chapter sixteen. It says, and he said to them.

  79. Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to

  80. every creature.

  81. He who believes in.

  82. His baptized will be saved, but he who does not

  83. believe will be condemned. Father, we thank you for your word.

  84. It's the only change agent on the face of the planet.

  85. And I pray that today that your word pierces through selfishness, ambition,

  86. and pride and fear and insecurity, shame and guilt. Lord,

  87. that it pierces through those things. Takes residence at the

  88. very fabric of our being, that we would see exactly

  89. who you're calling.

  90. Us to be in Jesus' name. Amen. Now, when we

  91. read this.

  92. In second Timothy, I want you to understand that he's

  93. writing to the church. When we read that whole list

  94. of terrible things, and you all were.

  95. Going ooh, ooh ah, ooh ooh.

  96. When we were reading that list, he wasn't talking about

  97. the world. He was talking about the church. He was

  98. saying that the church, that inside the church, all of

  99. these things are happening. And because all of these things

  100. are happening, people have a form of godliness. But deny

  101. the power thereof. I want you to know that God

  102. does not change. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

  103. Let me say that again.

  104. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. And we

  105. serve a God who we have countless chapters of modern history,

  106. not scriptural history, but modern history written where he heals

  107. and he delivers, and miracles happen and all of those things.

  108. And it seems like the more we progress in time,

  109. the less we hear about and read about those things.

  110. Amen. But God doesn't change.

  111. And if God, God doesn't change, and those things have

  112. slown down. It's not God's fault, it's our fault. Calvin

  113. said it was my fault. But I know what he means.

  114. He said, he said, it's your fault, Pastor, And yeah,

  115. I mean it is. It is.

  116. It is my fault. I'm right in there with you.

  117. I'm not separate then. I'm with you, Amen. I'm part

  118. of the body. And it is our fault that we

  119. don't see those mighty things of God because we have

  120. so relaxed the standards of holiness. We've so relaxed the

  121. standards of basic Christian faith that we've allowed all of

  122. those things to creep in. And it looks like godliness

  123. because we compare ourselves to the worst possible thing, and

  124. we compare the best of us to the worst of that,

  125. and we come.

  126. Out smelling like roses. Amen.

  127. But the only mode of comparison is not us against them,

  128. it's us against.

  129. The holiness of God.

  130. And when I compare myself against the holiness of God,

  131. I come up wanting every single time. But if we

  132. really want to be the powerful church that God is

  133. calling us to be, then we must understand what Scripture says,

  134. and it says now as Jonas and John Brash resisted Moses.

  135. So do these people resist the truth? Men have corrupt minds,

  136. disapprove concerning the faith, but they progress no further, for

  137. their folly will be manifest. We must separate ourselves from

  138. those things. Scripture says, we must separate ourselves from those things.

  139. So it says that when this corruption is happening in

  140. the church, there's a distance.

  141. But then in March.

  142. Chapter sixteen, when it comes to the world, he doesn't

  143. say separate yourself.

  144. He says, go let me say it again. I think

  145. you miss what I'm trying to say. There.

  146. He says, listen, there needs to be accountability and separateness when.

  147. There is corruption in the church, when there's sin in

  148. the church.

  149. But when it comes to the sin in the world,

  150. he doesn't say, come apart.

  151. He says, go into.

  152. Because there's a higher standard for us who are already

  153. in the kingdom. There's a higher standard. We're no longer

  154. looking for a grace collision. We're actively pursuing holiness within

  155. the Covenant of righteousness. So He's already given us a

  156. contract that allows us to achieve it, but we have

  157. to put some work behind it in order to get

  158. there and turn ourselves away from the wicked things that

  159. we ideate, those wicked things that we think about, those

  160. things that we act upon, those secret lusts that we

  161. have in our heart, those castles that we've built in

  162. the imagination where we love to retreat to and satisfy

  163. those fleshly desires.

  164. We have to separate ourselves from those things.

  165. In Jude, chapter in Jude, in Jude, verse twelve, there's

  166. only one chapter in Jude, in Jude verse twelve that says,

  167. these are spots in your love feasts. Now this is

  168. this is a church dinner, Okay, this is a gathering

  169. of believers. And he says, there's spots in your love feasts.

  170. While they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves.

  171. There are clouds without water, carried about by the winds,

  172. laid autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by

  173. the roots, raging ways of the sea, foaming up their

  174. own shame, wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness

  175. of darkness forever, It says, these are these are people

  176. that operate inside out. Now, first of all, I want

  177. to go ahead. I knew I was going to start

  178. getting those sideways looks. I ain't talking about nobody like

  179. none of y'all made me mad.

  180. And I'm preaching this message.

  181. Amen, y'all are the greatest bunch of people in the

  182. entire world. But the reality is, we must understand the

  183. standard that God sets for us. It's not love if

  184. we always get and screamed destiny, purpose, destiny, purpose, and.

  185. We achieve the physical.

  186. Part of purpose but not the spiritual part of purpose.

  187. We don't want to just be empty shells of humanity

  188. that look successful on the outside but are empty on

  189. the inside because we're not growing closer to God. And

  190. Paul says that our Jude says, Hey, here's the thing.

  191. There's people there. They look the part, they're even taking communion,

  192. but they're twice dead, pulled up by the roots. Now,

  193. let's talk about this whole concept of twice dead.

  194. I want you to know.

  195. I want to show my theological cards here. If it

  196. wasn't for this one verse of Scripture, for this one

  197. passage in Jude, I would completely ascribe.

  198. To eternal security.

  199. But I can't get past this one passage of scripture.

  200. This one passage keeps me from jumping wholeheartedly into once

  201. you get saved, you can do anything you want to do.

  202. But we have to take every word. Scripture says, amen,

  203. and it says that there are people here that are

  204. operating in the church, but they're twice.

  205. Dead, pulled up by the roots.

  206. So that means they were made alive or they were dead,

  207. they were made alive, and now they're dead again. So

  208. I just want to tell you for sure that they're not.

  209. Dead.

  210. That's not what they that's not what it's talking about, right,

  211. because they're there and they're eating dinner, and this is

  212. not the walking dead. They're there and they're eating dinner,

  213. so it's something else. So I want you to know

  214. that when we are born, we are born spiritually dead

  215. from original sin. We are born spiritually dead in need

  216. of a savior and redemption. That beautiful baby with that

  217. beautiful pink bowl right back there still needs Jesus.

  218. Amen.

  219. It's just the way we're born. And listen, when you

  220. get to heaven, take it up with Adam and Eve.

  221. I feel confident it's their fault because I'm sure I

  222. would not have I would have not eaten the apple.

  223. If I had been there, we would.

  224. Have been okay, because I would have probably been laying

  225. into shade somewhere not paying attention anyway, Amen, because that's

  226. just kind of the way I roll, and I would

  227. have And if a snake starts talking to me, I

  228. guarantee you I'm running.

  229. Amen.

  230. And we're broken. We all sin and fall short of

  231. the glory of God, every single one of us.

  232. And these people.

  233. Are twice dead, so that means they have withdrawn themselves.

  234. It's important to understand they have withdrawn themselves from the

  235. salvation Covenant of Christ. He didn't lose them, the enemy

  236. didn't steal them. They withdrew their selves from the Covenant

  237. of Christ. And they're operating as if they as if

  238. though they are still saved. They're operating as if they

  239. are still a functioning part of the Church of Jesus Christ,

  240. and they're going through the activities.

  241. Of the church.

  242. But they do not have the Covenant in place, or

  243. they do not have the power of.

  244. God working in their lives. So I just.

  245. Want to ask you a simple question right now, When

  246. is the last time you have pursued Jesus with the

  247. same fervency you did when you were first saved. Have

  248. you lost your first love or do you still have

  249. a white hot passion for Jesus.

  250. Or is he the last thing that comes to mind?

  251. And here's how we gauge that we look at our

  252. lives and what's going on, and if our last resort

  253. is to carry it.

  254. To Jesus, Come on, somebody. If our last.

  255. Resort is to carry it to Jesus, that means we're

  256. not in a close relationship. We may not be unsaved,

  257. but we're definitely not in a close, thriving relationship with Jesus.

  258. When something happens in my life, the first thing I

  259. think of is God help me. Driving down the road,

  260. somebody pulls out in front of me, I swerve, I say,

  261. oh Jesus. Never once, not one time, have I ever

  262. been driving down the road pastor Gary pulls out in

  263. front of me.

  264. And I swerve.

  265. Never once have I thought to myself, Oh Buddha. Never

  266. once have I screamed out of the abutance of my heart.

  267. Oh Allah.

  268. It's oh Jesus, because he's who I have a relationship with,

  269. because he is the true living God, and his desire

  270. is the best for me is to protect me. It's

  271. to provide for me, but it's also to discipline me

  272. and to guide me and take me from glory to glory,

  273. deeper and more mature in the things of God, so

  274. that I operate in peace no matter.

  275. What comes my way.

  276. When we face the toughest adversities, we'll navigate in the

  277. peace of God. When there's not enough love and the

  278. love offering every month, I don't panic.

  279. I know God's got it.

  280. If God decides that somebody else is better to do

  281. this than me, I'm okay, because God's got me.

  282. God's got you. Like I tell the board once here,

  283. I'm looking for a job when I found this one. Amen.

  284. So I just I'm good with it.

  285. I just want what Jesus wants.

  286. Because I talk to him every single day and I

  287. spend time with him every single day.

  288. And that's what a relationship is.

  289. It's not a get out of jail free, it's not

  290. a bail me out card. It is a thriving relationship.

  291. And that's what the people in Jude were missing. They

  292. did not have that sacred, intimate individual experience and encounter

  293. the true power of God.

  294. We sang about it today.

  295. The greatest miracle is not the things we see in

  296. our eyes. The greatest miracle is that our names are

  297. written in heaven. The greatest, most powerful move is when

  298. somebody experiences God for the very first time. And at

  299. no time in history have we been more positioned as

  300. the Church to see a mighty outpouring and a people

  301. coming to the faith than we are right now.

  302. Because people are scared.

  303. Every time they turn on the television and they see

  304. the news, They're afraid of whatever's coming next.

  305. And I want you to understand, it's not because of

  306. a person. It's not because of a people.

  307. It's because we battle principalities and powers. It's because the

  308. enemy is working hard because he knows the days are

  309. getting short. He knows that we're living in that time

  310. frame where Jesus is going to elevate the church and

  311. set us as a city on a hill, because now

  312. is the day for the kingdom to move.

  313. Now is the time for God to receive glory.

  314. We've waited and now we are perfectly positioned in space

  315. and time to see one of the greatest outpourings we've

  316. ever seen on the face of the earth.

  317. Because Jesus is ready to come for his bride.

  318. Y'all have made me sweat today. In first John chapter one.

  319. It says, if we say that we have fellowship with

  320. him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not

  321. practice the truth. But if we walk in the light

  322. as he is in the light, we have fellowship with

  323. one another.

  324. Let me just he says.

  325. Listen, if we're walking in the light as he is

  326. in the light, here's how you're gonna know it.

  327. We have fellowship with each other.

  328. Did you know fellowship is just as spiritual a principle as.

  329. Anything else we do.

  330. That fellowship and connectivity and the body is just as

  331. important as singing, as preaching, as all of those other things,

  332. because it all works together to make us the family

  333. of God, so.

  334. We can walk in the power of God.

  335. He says, if we have fellowship with him and walk

  336. in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

  337. But if we walk in the light as he's in

  338. the light, we have fellowship with one another. And the

  339. blood of Christ, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son,

  340. cleanses us.

  341. From all sin.

  342. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves,

  343. and the truth is not in us.

  344. He says.

  345. If we pretend like everything is okay. If we just

  346. pretend like everything is good, and we just smile through it,

  347. and we just hope nobody just hope nobody checks our

  348. browser history. We hope nobody follows us there. We hope

  349. we don't talk in our sleep, and we say, y'all

  350. feel me. That's why everybody's looking at me like a

  351. caffet at you gate, because here's the reality is that

  352. we all struggle. We all struggle, and the point of

  353. this message is not to make you feel bad. The

  354. point of this message is to say that the blood

  355. of Jesus Christ covers the sins of those who are

  356. in the world and those who have messed up and

  357. fallen in the church. And just like we celebrate someone

  358. who is just getting saved for the very first time,

  359. we also celebrate those people who have gone through a

  360. season of brokenness, a series of badness visions, and they

  361. repent and they come back to the Lord and they say,

  362. restore my relationship because I want your power, I want

  363. to feel you, I want to express who you are

  364. through my actions so that I live loud in the world.

  365. This is not a country club that excludes it's one

  366. who calls each other up that we're there for one

  367. another and we're a support system to help each other

  368. walk in the trueness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Now,

  369. I just I know that the last couple of three weeks,

  370. this is I want to assure you. Next week, next week,

  371. you're gonna shout more. Next week, you're gonna shout more.

  372. We're gonna get right today. Next week, we're gonna shout more. Amen,

  373. we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

  374. If we confess our sins, If we confess our sins.

  375. He is faithful and he is just.

  376. He is faithful and he is just to forgive us

  377. our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

  378. Not mine. I've messed up too many times. You don't

  379. know what I've done.

  380. It just says all. It says all. Doesn't matter how

  381. bad you've messed up. It doesn't matter where you've been,

  382. It doesn't matter how you've doubted, It doesn't.

  383. Matter what you're afraid of. It says all.

  384. Every single sin, He cleanses us from all unrighteousness. If

  385. we say that we've not sinned, we make him a liar,

  386. and his word is not in us. If we say

  387. we haven't sinned, we make him a liar because he

  388. tells us that all is sin and falls short of

  389. the glory of God.

  390. You know. Uh, I got.

  391. Several several calls in several conversations about this last week

  392. because there was that whole thing going around that the

  393. rapture was going to happen.

  394. Y'all are laughing, but listen, I'm trying to be serious.

  395. Don't get me tickle while I'm trying to do this, this.

  396. Whole thing that with the rapture. And somebody called me like, hey,

  397. I've been seeing these roads. I say, the rapture's going

  398. to happen. What do you think?

  399. And I'm like, well, explain it a little bit to it.

  400. I had not I actually hadn't heard about it. I

  401. don't really hang out with a lot of preachers because

  402. they're weird, so I don't really hang out with them,

  403. and so so I said, no, tell me about it,

  404. and uh, they say, oh, well, this guy, this guy,

  405. I think they said, this guy in Africa had a

  406. vision that the Lord showed him that the rapture was

  407. going to happen. I said, oh, yeah, well, then it's not.

  408. And they said, well, how do you say that. I said, well,

  409. because the Bible is clear that nobody knows the day

  410. or the hour. So if he says nobody's going to know,

  411. why is he then going to go tell somebody? That

  412. makes him a lie. Listen, and this is my reasoning

  413. beyond that that makes God a liar. And if God

  414. is a liar, there is no rapture because he's not God,

  415. because God is only God if everything he says is true,

  416. because he can't lie. I said, so either way, there's

  417. no rapture coming. It either can't because he lied, or

  418. it can't because he told the truth. Either if he's lying,

  419. it's not coming. If he's telling the truth, it's not coming.

  420. Just logically, it's not coming. But you might should take

  421. care of anything that made.

  422. You want to call me and ask.

  423. Right, because I'm telling you, listen, if a song comes.

  424. On the radio, there's this song. I listen to oldies,

  425. and there's this song.

  426. Because it's always got like a saxophone introter, even though

  427. the name of the song. But every time, I say,

  428. just in case that's the trump and I want to be.

  429. Ready to outrun y'all.

  430. I want to be at the top looking back seeing

  431. y'all get there, because I'm gonna have my glorified body,

  432. so I won't be fast. I'll be fast, gonna be

  433. fast like LEXI used to say, look how fast I am, daddy,

  434. And I just never had the heart to tell her, baby,

  435. you just like me.

  436. You shlow, listen.

  437. She used to get to I know that I'm digressing here,

  438. but I got seven minutes, only got about four more

  439. minutes worth of preaching, So we're good. I coached her

  440. high school team of softball. She would get to first

  441. base and she would look at me. She'd say, not,

  442. was I fast?

  443. Not? Did I hit it good?

  444. Not? She'd say did I look fast? I say, yeah,

  445. maybe you look fast. You look fast.

  446. But here's the reality.

  447. We live in such a relationship with God that we

  448. think we can hide from him the same things we

  449. hide from people. The man can come and get ready.

  450. But God doesn't look on the outside. God doesn't look

  451. on the outside where things are hidden. God looks at

  452. the heart of a man, and at the very heart

  453. of a man, everything is revealed. So you're not sitting

  454. here fooling God, making him think you're something you're not.

  455. As a matter of fact, he looks at you, and

  456. he with tears running down his face. He's saying, there's more.

  457. There's more to your experience with me, There's more to

  458. your relationship with me. There is more taste, and see

  459. that I am good. I'm not a hateful God who's

  460. looking to punish you. I'm a blessing God who is

  461. wanting to bless you. Just come to me. In Matthew eleven,

  462. verse twenty eight, it says, come to me, all you.

  463. Who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give

  464. you rest.

  465. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for

  466. I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will

  467. find rest for your soul, not your flesh, your soul.

  468. Your mind's, your will, and your emotions. Because sin keeps

  469. you tangled up.

  470. Sin keeps you anxious and nervous on the inside. You're

  471. always afraid that something's going to be found, that something's

  472. going to be knowing you, and that sin weighs you

  473. down and it causes you to make bad decision after

  474. bad decision because you're always trying to cover something up

  475. and create space and distance away. But the only way

  476. to get away from sin is to repent and just

  477. simply ask the blood.

  478. Of Jesus to wash you clean. He says, my yoke

  479. is easy and my burden is light. Quit carrying that for.

  480. Which you were never meant to carry. Everybody's staying with me.

  481. You know, God didn't desire you to carry the weight

  482. of sin. He created Adam and Eve in an innocent

  483. state to operate in perfect relationship with him, And when

  484. sin entered the world, it mixed everything up, and suddenly

  485. humanity began to carry the weight of sin. At about

  486. two thousand years ago, Jesus sent his son, the Father Sin,

  487. his son Jesus. Okay, let me go ahead and just

  488. retract that somebody Jesus had no son.

  489. Okay, now, I don't want to get that started. The

  490. Father sent his son.

  491. To carry the weight of sin of all humanity.

  492. That when he was suspended on the cross.

  493. Hanging between Earth and Heaven, your sin was placed on him,

  494. and he desires to carry that weight because.

  495. He's the only one that can.

  496. So, if you're here and listen, it doesn't matter if

  497. you're a teen captain, it doesn't matter if you're a

  498. group leader. It doesn't matter if you're a board member.

  499. It doesn't matter if you're here for the very first time.

  500. None of that matters. All that matters is that you

  501. realize that you are carrying sin in your life and

  502. you're not meant.

  503. To carry it, and the blood of Jesus.

  504. Will wash you clean and set you free from that

  505. weight and that pain and that struggle.

  506. And it's time that we stop creating this scenario.

  507. If I can't let anybody know that I've messed up,

  508. I can't let anybody know that I have situations and

  509. circumstances in my life and realize that repentance needs to

  510. be a daily process in the life of the believer.

  511. It's not something dirty to be hidden, it's something to

  512. be done. And the like as He is in the light,

  513. we should be in the light. I'm going to ask

  514. our alter team to come one more time.

  515. And if you're here.

  516. Today, maybe you've never maybe you've never asked Jesus to

  517. forgive you of your sin and be the lord of

  518. your life. Ever, I want to invite you to do

  519. that today. But maybe you're here and you just you're

  520. carrying guilt and shame, You're carrying unrepented sin. You know

  521. that if you stood before God right now, he would

  522. not see you as clean. But today you want to

  523. make that right, we want to pray for you. There's

  524. no judgment, there's only celebration. There's no harsh criticism, there's

  525. only joy.

  526. So if you're here.

  527. And you want to just come to the Lord and say,

  528. I'm giving you everything.

  529. All that stuff I've held back, all that stuff that

  530. I've hidden.

  531. Turning it over to you. Jesus given it to you.

  532. On the count of three, I want you to step

  533. out and move one, two, three, step out and come

  534. right now. If you would say, I just need you, Lord,

  535. I need you to forgive me and wash me clean.

  536. I need you to store that close fervent relationship.

  537. Listen, the band's gonna sing.

  538. And as you sit there and you ponder in your heart,

  539. the altars are open.

  540. We're waiting to pray for you. Clean less worship,
