-
Let us all stand for the reading of God's Word.
-
The scripture texts is found in some 74 versus 1 to 23 and in
-
the New Testament in Luke chapter one verses 67 to 80,
-
some 74, 1 to 23. Ohh God, why do you cast us off
-
wherever? Why does your anger smoke
-
against the sheep of your pasture?
-
Remember your congregation, which you have purchased of old,
-
which you have redeemed to be the drive of your heritage.
-
Remember Mount Zion, where you have dwelt direct your steps to
-
the perpetual ruins. The enemy has destroyed
-
everything in the sanctuary. Your foes have roared in the
-
midst of my your meeting place. They set up their own signs for
-
signs. They were like those who swing
-
axes in a forest of trees and all its carved wood.
-
They broke down with hatchets and hammers.
-
They set their sanctuary on fire.
-
They profane the dwelling place of your name, bring it down to
-
the ground, they said to themselves, We will utterly
-
subdue them. They burned all the meeting
-
places of God in the land. We do not see our signs.
-
There is no longer any profit. There is none among us.
-
Who knows how long? How long?
-
Ohh, God is the fall to scope. Is the enemy to rival your name
-
forever? Why do you hold back your hand,
-
your right hand, Take it from the fold of your garment and
-
destroy them? Yet God might king is from old
-
working salvation in the midst of the earth.
-
You divided the sea by your mind.
-
You broke the heads of the sea monsters on the waters.
-
You crashed the heads of the Leviathan.
-
You gave him a spoon for the creatures of the wilderness.
-
You split open springs and brooks.
-
You dry it up every flowing streams.
-
Yours is a day, yours also the night.
-
You establish the heavenly lights and the sun.
-
You fix all the boundaries of the earth.
-
You have made summer and winter. Remember these Ohh Lord, how the
-
enemies golf in a foolish people reviles your name.
-
Do not deliver the soul of your dog to the wild beast.
-
Do not forget the life of your poor forever.
-
Have regard for the covenant, for the dark places of the land
-
are full of the habitations of violence.
-
Let not the downtrodden turn back in shame.
-
Let the poor and needy praise your name.
-
Arise, Oh God, defend your cause.
-
Remember how foolish. Scoff at you all day.
-
Do not forget the clamour of your foes, the uproar of those
-
who rise against you, which goes up continually.
-
And in Luke chapter one, verse 67 to 80.
-
And his Father's Acharya was filled with the Holy Spirit and
-
prophesied, saying, Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel.
-
For he has visited and redeemed his people, and has raised up a
-
horn of salvation for us in the House of his servant David, as
-
he spoke with the mouth of his holy prophets from of old, that
-
we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all
-
who hate us, to show mercy, promise to our fathers, to
-
remember his only covenant. The oath that he swore to our
-
father Abraham, to grant us that we being delivered from the hand
-
of our enemies, might serve him without fear in holiness and
-
righteousness before him all our days.
-
And you, child, will be called the Prophet of the Most High.
-
For you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways to give
-
knowledge of salvation to His people and the forgiveness of
-
their sins, because of the tender mercy of God, whereby the
-
sunrise shall visit us from on high to give light to those who
-
sit in darkness and in the shadow, that the guide our feet
-
in the way of peace. And the child grew and became
-
strong in spirit, and he was in the wilderness until the day of
-
his public appearance to Israel. Let us come to the Lord in
-
prayer, gracious God, our Heavenly Father, at the
-
beginning of this Advent season. We come with hearts full of
-
anticipation and gratitude. We acknowledge your sovereignty
-
over all things, including the time and seasons.
-
In this season of Advent, we are reminded of the whole peace,
-
joy, and love that your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and
-
Saviour, brought into the world. As we prepare to delve into Your
-
Word, open our hearts, our minds to receive your message that You
-
have for us today. And may the light of Christ
-
illuminate our understanding and may Holy Spirit guide us into
-
the deeper truths we recognise our need for Your grace and
-
mercy, and we humbly ask for Your presence to be with us.
-
Your Church prepare us, Lord, with a celebration of crisis
-
birth, not just in remembrance, but with the renewed sense of
-
worship, of wonder and of all, and a grateful service to you
-
and your Church. In Jesus name we pray.
-
Amen. Marina.

-
Remember your congregation Mama Kapatid aluminating recently?
-
It has been just 57 days, or almost two months, since the
-
October 7 attacks by the Hamas, Sai Israel.
-
It was a blazon, blatant infiltration, anti Israeli towns
-
and army bases. And it was the worst breach of
-
Israel's defenses in 50 years. They are young, strongest
-
military in the Middle East was rendered powerless to fight back
-
against a far weaker enemy. Villages was left defenseless
-
for almost a day because of these squads of terrorists.
-
So you're reckoning poor. There was about 1200 Israelis
-
that died. This includes Israeli soldiers,
-
includes civilians, old women alike, children I nagging
-
hostage. Then about probably 200
-
Israelites were hostages were made hostage by the Hamas 4
-
military camps spread is about 30 square miles of Israeli
-
territory and there were a large number of casualties which
-
prompted the Israeli army to launch air ground and strikes on
-
Gaza. At it persists I think until
-
today the Carolina counting ceasefire for humanitarian
-
reasons but you totally non death is about 11,000 and it
-
should probably increase young text will nothing is also a sum

-
October 7 Hamas atrocities now consigned Babylonians anacap

-
destroyed the cities, but in among our fields it their own
-

-
Israel, Young Jerusalem, Nandun poor young temple.
-
And after this destruction in 586 BC, they took most of the
-
inhabitants back to Babylon as leaves.
-
So the exile would last for about 70 years before they will
-
be allowed to return by the Persian king to rebuild their
-
land and their temple. Kaya Humana.
-
Babylonians would mark the juice and inflict so much humiliation
-
and sufferings. Sakanila Little saw some Nabina.
-

-
Una does the song is would have a lament and plea for the
-
congregation. Marquita versus 1 to 11.
-
He pleads to the Lord to deliver Israel from their enemies
-
because it seemed that God has forgotten them forever.
-
Then in verses 12 to 17 Marquita nominating denying plea Nang Sam

And finally, in verses 18 to 23, we will hear the song is skull

congregation. Now my goal and Bayan Israel and

-
Lord Jesus as an infant? Don't saw first Advent or young

-
people from our sins. But in the second Advent, he
-
will destroy his enemies and vindicate his name and his

Samantha Akamai Namanga, Babylonians 586 BC and we can

Like gold, silver and bronze furnishings.

wealthiest and the skilled workers were taken as exiles to
-
Babylon. Only the poorest were left in
-
the land. The destruction was complete for
-
Israel. It would have been like the end
-
of the world. The Temple Lu was the center of
-
their lives, including its priesthood, including the
-
morning and evening sacrifices that will happen on Binabanggit

-
I own inquiries class Sinasabi economy Bataya page held nang

-

-
But it stems back from the tradition of Israel young.
-
They look forward to the morning and evening sacrifices.
-
That was done by the priests. For the Old Testament Jews,
-
there were only two major historical events in their
-
nation. Una is Exodus from Egypt and 2nd
-
is the Babylonian Exile. So even in the most disastrous
-
event in their history, the juice would appeal to the
-
glorious Exodus. Sanara NASA Nila Ampalaya Sakami
-
out of the bondage of slavery and the summits pleads to God to
-
remember Israel, whom God has called as redeemed, as purchase
-
a sheep, as congregation, as tribe.
-
Tina Khattak body to young covenant relationship not
-
insulting Jose. He remembers in Exodus 1516 when
-
Moses praised the Lord who dried up the Red Sea till the people
-
pass by, whom you purchase Inalala, Ponilla, Nonaka, Silai,
-
Nakaraan Donsa, Red Sea, Hangman and Bayan, Akanyang, Binili I
-
Nakaraan, Inaalala Puni Layon. And that's almost bleeds to God.
-
Remember Mount Zion where you have dwelt, Sinasabi, Puni, Lana
-
or just back it. Mukami and man are Pinapaalala
-
ponilla even to themselves. You Mount Zion is where God
-
resides. If you want Bruno on Dahil
-
Quintanilla that it is laid in ruins for many years and it
-
seemed to the Israelites it's forever.
-
So the sum is question element to God.
-
If we are your chosen people, why do you allow us to be
-
destroyed? It is as if they do not know the
-
warnings of the Prophets. Napa, Ulit, Ulit, Bennigan's,
-
London, Babala, Non Profit, Me, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel,
-
Daniel and many other prophets. For many centuries they were
-
warned of the judgment that is coming to them for violating the
-
laws of the covenant. God who made them don't saw
-
Mount Sinai. They have become so idolatrous,
-
they are unjust, adulterous that the Lord's patience and
-
persistence ran out. Makita Puna, Kenyan in the
-
account of Second Chronicles, chapter 36, verses 15 to 16.
-
The Lord, the God of their Father, sent persistently to
-
them by his messengers, because he had compassion on his people
-
and on his dwelling place. But they kept mocking the
-
messengers of God, despising his words, scoffing at his profits
-
until the wrath of the Lord rose against his people, until there
-
was no remedy. It is a very telling reminder
-
for us in Abina, Angolan, and Lunas so even under this
-
judgment, the sum is appeals to God's covenant promise to their
-
forefathers, Abraham. What happened now to his
-
covenant promise to his redeem to his purchased congregation as
-
the Lord rejected them forever. Add to Puma Pasaki manga age-old
-
question why We don't usually ask why when good things happen.
-
Baghdadi Kilikina Magandang Buhay Bucket now deserve
-
banatine. Amanda Bagnetto.
-
It is only when bad things happen we ask God why.
-
When a loved one is diagnosed with a terminal sickness like
-
cancer? When one has an accident?
-
When one has lost a job, or probably when one is in dire
-
straits, Tina Why? And we see many examples of wise
-
in the Bible. Sharing the bed when he was in
-
trouble, he asked God in Sums. 22 My God, my God, why have you
-
forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving
-
me from the words of my groaning another?
-
He used the same words, the very same words, as he Hang on the
-
cross doesn't. Matthew 2746.
-
Therefore, asking why is part of human nature, even our Christian
-
nature, and seeing the signs and banners of the Pagan Babylonian
-
army hanging on the ruins of the temple, it saddens the
-
Israelites. You can picture how the
-
desecration of the Most Holy Temple was done, and the same is
-
laments that the absence of the prophets who used to reveal
-
God's word to them. There was a verse 9 See not
-
being allowed. We do not see our signs.
-
We no longer have any profit. Who will tell us how long this
-
is the worst? Kasi Hindi nila Makita.
-
How long will they injure these disasters?
-
And how long will the enemies cough and revile the name of
-
God's holy word? And this arm is then pleads to
-
God to destroy their enemies. Universe 11 Tina Nolan Sam is
-
Back. We lost a little deep deep box
-
say in Mozilla. The sum is bleeds Kaya, he
-
pleads a confession of God's almighty power.
-
Mababasa puna thing in this versus 12 to 17?
-
Nah if our wise and how long seems An answered, the answer
-
that he gives is who my tapas Tina.
-
Nate, Nindi, Para Katagal, Mini Begin, Tayo, Nang, Sagot, Nan,
-
Salitan and Jose Who is the Almighty Creator who is
-
sovereign over all creation? Who is the Almighty King Who is
-
sovereign over all Kings Inverse 12 to 17.
-
That sum is affirms his confidence in assurance in the
-
Lord. This disaster did not happen
-
because the Lord was not powerful enough to prevent it.
-
This is the same God who divided the Red Sea.
-
The same God who can crush the powerful monsters like the
-
dragon, like Leviathan of the canine night mythology.
-
If it was real. The same God who separated the
-
waters of the land. The same God who hung the moon,
-
the stars, and established the seasons.
-
Therefore, how can this God have not control over the Babylonians
-
today? Maraming Tao, even Cristiano I
-
Tatanong Is God in control? Is God powerful?
-
When disaster strikes Tinatanong Puna then they would say that
-
God had no control. When the October 7 Hamas attack
-
Sabayan and Israel. When typhoons like Yolanda Ondoy
-
good hit Ireland, God in control, they would say that God
-
had nothing to do with it. When all the bad things happen
-
in our lives, it is even taught in most churches.
-
We would often hear God is good all the time.
-
Yes, this is absolutely true, because God cannot be anything
-
less than perfectly good, loving, merciful, and just now
-
parallel and poor. Nothing.
-
And as we go through the Belgian confession, incommunicable
-
attributes now hanging on. But when pastors and people in
-
the prosperity gospel churches say this, they mean something
-
else for them. It means, first, that God will
-
always bless them with the good things in this life.
-
And second, it means that when bad things happen, it is not God
-
who sent them Sabin panila. Maybe you lack faith.
-
This is very terrible. It is condemning even faithful
-
believers to unfaithfulness. That is why the sum is call for
-
God to vindicate his congregation.
-
In verses 18 to 23 it always Young, Bayan and Canyon, Kawan
-
and Kenyan sleepy. After affirming the Lord's
-
sovereign power over all things the summer schools forgot to
-
vindicate, not only is people, but his name, his congregation
-
in the two keywords are remember and deliver Alalahanin at
-
Elitas. Remember the mocking and the
-
uproar of the enemies and the scoffers.
-
Remember your covenant promises to Abraham.
-
When the Lord remembers this, he will act to vindicate his name
-
and his people. How will he vindicate his name
-
and his people? He will do this first by
-
delivering them from their enemies, his needy, shame.
-
Downtrodden people are now like doves that are fed to the
-
beasts, the Babylonians. The land is dark.
-
It is full of violence. He will rescue his people from
-
the ravenous beast, and he will send light to his People in
-
Darkness magazine, buying Pangalawa.
-
He will vindicate his name by his and his people by rebuilding
-
the temple. Now the only signs of the
-
temples are the big and banners that the enemies have hung on
-
the temple ruins. There are no more peace and
-
sacrifices for sins and thanks offerings.
-
No more fees to celebrate the harvest because there are no
-
more harvests. We not support Lahat Nakawa,
-
even the fields, and there is no king to lead them in battle.
-
Where will the King, the Son that the Lord promised the King
-
David come from? Who would be king over an
-
everlasting Kingdom? And how did God accomplish this
-
seemingly impossible task? Paranda paka paka.
-
Impossible. But in God's Providence, he has
-
set up Cyrus, the middle Persian king.
-
He would allow the Exiles to return to Israel to rebuild the
-
country and the temple in 536 BC.
-
We can read that account in Second Chronicles Chapter 36
2 Chronicles 36 chapter mention
-
versus 22 to 23, the prophet Isaiah 4.
-
So Darius as the Lord's servant, who would build the ruins of the
-
city and the temple. And I say, yeah, 4428 he says of
-
Cyrus, He is my shepherd, He shall fulfill all my purpose,
-
saying of Jerusalem, he shall be built, and of the temple your
-
foundation shall be laid. So the temple was finished in
-
516 BC and the King Darius 70 years after it, was destroyed in
-
586 BC. The prophet Daniel has the
-
answer to The Who in Daniel Chapter 9 versus 26 to 25, where
Daniel 9 chapter mention
-
he prophesied that the city of Jerusalem and its temple shall
-
be rebuilt by the Jews who will return from the Babylonian
-
exile. After this restoration, Daniel
-
says, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing
-
but after this, this anointed one is cut off or put to death.
-
There is a Prince who will come and destroy the city and the
-
sanctuary. This anointed 1 is our Lord
-
Jesus Christ. Remember that the word anointed
-
in Hebrew is Messiah, which is translated in Greek as Christos.
-
So in Acts chapter 4, verse 26, when the Christians gathered in
-
Jerusalem, affirm that Jesus is the anointed one.
-
In their prayer, the kings of the earth set themselves, and
-
the rulers were gathered together against the Lord,
-
against his anointed. And after John the baptiser was
-
born six months before Jesus was born, Sarah's father then
-
recognize his son. John will be the forerunner of
-
Jesus the Anointed. 1 And you, child, will be called the
-
Prophet of the Most High, For you will go before the Lord to
-
prepare His ways to give knowledge of salvation to His
-
people in the forgiveness of their sins, because the tender
-
mercies of God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on
-
high, been as upon attendance. Look chapter one versus 76 to
-
78. Jesus is also the Lord.
-
This child, John, will preach to all Israel.
-
Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.
-
He was one of whom I say prophesied the voice, one crying
-
in the wilderness. Prepare the way of the Lord.
-
Make his spot straight. The Lord said that I, the Lord
-
that I saw He was prophesying is Jesus the Messiah the baby born
-
of the Virgin Mary who was conceived by God the Holy
-
Spirit. And I say, yeah, Chapter 7,
-
verse 14, we can read. Therefore the Lord himself will
-
give you a sign. Behold, the Virgin shall
-
conceive and bear a son, and shall call him his name.
-
Emmanuel and in verse nine, six to seven.
-
For for to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the
-
government shall be upon this shoulder, and his name shall be
-
called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father,
-
Prince of Peace, of the increase of his government, and of Peace.
-
There will be no end on the throne of David and his Kingdom,
-
to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with
-
righteousness. From this time forth and forever
-
more, the seal of the Lord of Hosts will do this.
-
The longing of Israel for comfort is now fulfilled and
-
Isaiah chapter 40 verse one comfort.
Isaiah 40 chapter mention
-
Comfort my people, says your God.
-
Listen again to the prophecy of Zechariah concerning the birth
-
of Jesus in Luke chapter one versus 68 to 75, and it echoes
-
the words of our texts in some 74.
-
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for He has visited and
-
redeemed His people, and has raised up a horn of salvation
-
for us of His servant David, as he spoke with the mouth of his
-
holy prophets from of old, that we should be saved from our
-
enemies, and from the hand of all who hate us, to show mercy,
-
promise to our fathers, and to remember His holy covenant.
-
The Ohh. That He swore to our Father
-
Abraham to grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of
-
our enemies, might serve him without fear in holiness and
-
righteousness before him all our days.
-
This Jesus will be the sunrise, will visit and redeem His
-
people. He is the son of David, the true
-
heir of God's everlasting Kingdom, who would save us, His
-
people, from our sins. He will deliver us His sheep
-
from the hatred of Satan, the enemy dear brothers and sisters,
-
through the child Jesus. God will remember His holy
-
covenant promise that He made do their forefather, Abraham.
-
God is now doing these things because he is rebuilding the
-
ruins of his old covenant temple into a new covenant temple, the
-
Church made-up of all who believe and trust in his Son,
-
Jesus Christ. That is why when we sing Ohh
-
Come O Come Emmanuel, we're not waiting for him to be born, for
-
we celebrate this in this age, in this first advent.
-
But we sing this song as we long and look forward with
-
anticipation. Taipei.
-
Uma ASA for his 2nd Advent and Kanyang Ikala Wang packed the
-
thing as we confess in our creeds.
-
When we will come, When He will complete our salvation.
-
When He will turn our mourning into joy, our darkness into
-
light, in Revelation 610, the Saints in heaven, as Ohh
-
sovereign Lord holy and true, how long before you will judge
-
and avenge our blood on those who dwell on earth are?
-
How long will finally be answered?
-
So it's CRC. Beloved friends, as we open
-
those presents this Christmas, remember that God has given us
-
the most precious gift in the whole universe throughout all
-
eternity. Our lower the child, Jesus.
-
The most precious gift He gives us is forgiveness of all our
-
sins, now and forever. You may have all kinds of
-
sufferings now. All but spiritual blessings in
-
the heavenly places await you in the end.
-
Therefore let us continue to pray.
-
Come, Lord Jesus, come quickly, let us pray.
-
Our God and Heavenly Father, we thank you for your Word and your
-
gospel that through the Advent season we eagerly await the
-
celebration of the birth of Jesus, our Saviour in our
-
Redeemer. With this time they filled with
-
joy, with hope, a deep sense of love for one another.
-
We lift up our hearts and gratitude for your words of
-
promise to vindicate your people, to strengthen the
-
fellowship that we share and the eager longing for the coming of
-
your Kingdom. In Jesus name we pray ohh man.
