because of your promises and blessings, but because of your

steadfast love and faithfulness to us.

We thank you for your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who has kept

all the obligations of the covenant, and we thank you for

causing us to believe and putting our faith in Him so that

His merits may be our own solely.

It is because of Him that we can stand before You and that we can

obey and worship You. Give us a humble and contrite

heart. Continuously remind us that

whatever we do in Word, or indeed that we do it in the name

of the Lord Jesus, to give thanks to God the Father through

Him. This we pray and ask in the name

of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen.
