  1. Good Morning Post Sating Lahat. This morning we will be hearing

  2. a sermon penned by Reverend William B Slump and this

  3. preaching was first breach in the Emmanuel Canadian Reform

  4. Church, Edmonton, AB in 2008. Beloved congregation of our Lord

  5. and Saviour Jesus Christ. A while ago we read about

  6. Heidelberg Catechism Lord's Day 45 and that is the last section

  7. of the Heidelberg Catechism and it deals with prayer.

  8. However, the question is why is prayer found at the very last

  9. part of the catechism? Hindi Cuban Ambassador Nathan

  10. Sapphism that prayer is the most important part of our

  11. thankfulness and yet you your prayer in NASA Dulang Catechism

  12. and usually when we want to say something and you know nothing

  13. should be important important is Susanna Lama.

  14. That's why my Papa is it tile Ekuban Prayer 18 written in

  15. Heidelberg Catechism Ornamental authors now Heidelberg Catechism

  16. as an afterthought. Oftentimes prayer functions like

  17. that in the life of men. Bago Tayo McCray Gagawin.

  18. Nothing going. You're going boy.

  19. Nothing. Hindi umbra.

  20. That is the only time that we will pray.

  21. Tiny Treat not in your prayer as if it is an afterthought.

  22. Burma Chapati angry son in Heidelberg catechism Kaya

  23. inilagay sedulo young prayer well.

  24. In reality however, Contigo Naten prayer has already been

  25. dealt with at the beginning of the Heidelberg Catechism Sabina

  26. Unang section to be specific in Lord's day #3 where we are told

  27. about the creation of men and how it is before the fall of

  28. mankind. I'm sad be sat in the Lords day.

  29. Three is that God made man so that he might rightly know God

  30. his Creator, that he might heartily love him and live with

  31. him in eternal blessedness, and to praise and to glorify him.

  32. Brothers and sisters, that is what prayer is all about.

  33. We are created so that we can praise and glorify God.

  34. For what is prayer? Prayer is communication with

  35. God. It is in prayer that we give our

  36. praises and glories to God. It is in prayer that we made

  37. known to God our needs. It is in prayer that we praise

  38. Him and thank Him for all the things that He has done for our

  39. lives and before the fall in paradise.

  40. That is what Adam and Eve has been doing all along.

  41. They are communicating with God. They are glorifying God.

  42. They are having communion with God.

  43. However, sin came and put an end on that communication and

  44. because of sin the communication between God and man has been

  45. totally broken and only through God it will be restored again at

  46. and second section now Heidelberg Catechism where we

  47. were told how we have been delivered from our sins.

  48. In other words, we have been told how the lines of

  49. communication have been restored through our Lord and Saviour

  50. Jesus Christ. And so it is no wonder come back

  51. it NASA Duluth and Heidelberg Catechism and prayer, because

  52. the final thing that our Lord and Jesus did is to open the

  53. doors of heaven. It's to open the lines of

  54. communication again. And that is what the Heidelberg

  55. Catechism is trying to remind us, that the line of

  56. communication has been restored, that all is well and therefore

  57. we must make use of those lines of communication.

  58. We must thank God and we must praise His name and we can

  59. relate to that in our everyday lives.

  60. Mima times may dumadating wars or devastating natural

  61. calamities is an area or is an bansa Nagano classing

  62. devastation. The first thing that we must do

  63. is to restore the lines of communication.

  64. When am I? Hey you my power lines.

  65. You wanna telephone lines? Even you TV station and radio

  66. station and Internet. Keelan Magleby's signal.

  67. Because unless the line of communication has been restored,

  68. we cannot go back to the way it was.

  69. Hindi Marathi store. Young acting.

  70. You're acting Bansa ichura Nieto, and that is the way with

  71. prayer as well. When we pray, we show that the

  72. lines of communication has been restored between God and man.

  73. Prayer is essential to the life of a Christian.

  74. Indeed, no one can say to himself that he is a Christian

  75. if he doesn't know how to pray at it.

  76. Reaching out in this morning, that will be summarised in this

  77. title, that prayer is necessary to keep the lines of

  78. communication open between God and us.

  79. And we must open the line of communication number one for

  80. God's glory and #2 for man's eternal wellbeing.

  81. But before we proceed, let us go to the Lord in prayer.

  82. Father God, we come before You to humbly listen to the

  83. preaching of Your Word. We pray that you educate us and

  84. you remind us about the value and the importance of prayer in

  85. our lives. I pray that you give us humble

  86. hearts, that we will listen to the preaching of your word as if

  87. we are not merely listening to the words of men, but that we

  88. are listening to the very words of God.

  89. And I pray that you also guide me as I deliver this sermon

  90. manuscript to your congregation. I pray that you give me

  91. reverence that I will not say my own opinion, but I will be

  92. faithful to the preaching of Your word.

  93. Please guide us. So God open our eyes and our

  94. ears, and may we know your word and apply them in our lives.

  95. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

  96. So sabi pun natin, we must open the line of communication first

  97. for the glory of God. But what does it mean for man to

  98. live for the glory of God? It means that we must live in

  99. total harmony with Him, and He is that we must live in

  100. accordance to the will of God. But as we all know, that is not

  101. happening right now because man rebelled against God in

  102. paradise, and man has been doing so since then.

  103. And now instead of harmony, there is this harmony.

  104. Instead of peace, there is strife.

  105. That's why it's in having it. In Genesis chapter 3, he said

    Genesis 3 chapter mention

  106. that there will be an enmity between the seed of the woman

  107. and the seed of the servant. In other words, brothers and

  108. sisters, we are in the middle of a war and parties that are at

  109. war do not communicate with each other because their goal is to

  110. destroy each other. For their interests is always in

  111. conflict with each other. And though they don't have

  112. anything to do absolutely with one another, and that is also

  113. what we see whenever we see in the news, 2 warring nations

  114. enter into a war between each other.

  115. The warring parties will do everything in their own power to

  116. bring down the lines of communication.

  117. They will bomb the radio station, the television station,

  118. so that no propaganda and no information and no help can go

  119. out to the people. And any people that they can

  120. capture, they will not allow to communicate with their own side.

  121. They want them to be totally cut off from contact with the enemy.

  122. And if they will feed them information, they will only feed

  123. them false information to demoralise them.

  124. Because those countries who enter into war, they don't want

  125. to give even a little glance of hope, Paradise, Kanilang,

  126. Malavan. And by cutting off all contacts

  127. and all communication, they will also prevent any help from

  128. coming into them. So my chapati Gustino Manali

  129. Sanghera, the one thing that you should remember is that you must

  130. prevent your enemy from communicating among themselves

  131. and with others. They need to be totally cut off.

  132. And brothers and sisters, that as well is the tactic of Satan.

  133. He doesn't. He doesn't want you to be in

  134. communication with God, and He will do everything in his power

  135. to keep us from having fellowship with God.

  136. He does not want us to have contact with God and He does not

  137. want us to receive any help from God and he doesn't want us to

  138. have any hope. And when he wants us to believe

  139. that God is no longer around, Satan is bent on destroying us.

  140. That's why he wants to demoralise us.

  141. And if he is going to give us any information at all, he will

  142. give us false information. And so it is important for every

  143. Christian to have a constant communication with God, for

  144. without communion with God, we will perish eternally.

  145. Nothing. I don't know.

  146. Poonam Bagai, Nagustuhan Malama, Nathan.

  147. The first thing that God wants us to know is that Satan has

  148. already lost the battle. Yes, there may be little ongoing

  149. wars here and there, but and the main battle has already been won

  150. because Satan is already in retreat.

  151. And we have to be reminded of that over and over again, even

  152. in the Old Testament. The believers there have to know

  153. this. They have to know that despite

  154. the battles going around the world in spite the existence of

  155. sin and evil, ultimately Satan cannot touch those who belong to

  156. God. And why is that, Anupam, while

  157. you, my Old Testament believers, Saganum Pangako?

  158. It is because God promised that He will send a Redeemer, that He

  159. will send a Saviour, and this promise was given to us as early

  160. as in the Paradise Thailand Sinabing.

  161. God is that the seed of the woman will crush the head of the

  162. serpent, Satan. And He made that promise because

  163. the Lord hates war and strife. He wants the lines of

  164. communication to be restored, to be open so that we can talk to

  165. Him again. For He knows that only He can

  166. help us in our battle against Satan.

  167. And so through His Son Jesus Christ, He also opened the doors

  168. of communication at Nancy, Jesus Christ, Paul and Lupa and Sabina

  169. is that He is the door by which the sheep can go through the

  170. sheep fold. He is the door of the sheep, and

  171. no one can come to the Father except through him.

  172. And when Christ has died and he ascended into heaven and sat at

  173. the right hand of God, he made that access for his children a

  174. certainty, for he laid down his life for his sheep so that this

  175. could come about at Shinobi Mahapatra Dito.

  176. Well, let's have it take a careful note of the way question

  177. 116 in Heidelberg Catechism was phrased a while ago.

  178. I'm saved on why is prayer necessary for Christians so

  179. ginami Tang Heidelberg catechism young term nutritions dahil yung

  180. sheep. It pertains to the Christians

  181. sat in the Lords day 12. We are called Christians because

  182. we are members of Christ by faith.

  183. And when Christ ascended into heaven, he sat at the right hand

  184. of God, and He made the access of communication with God a

  185. complete certainty. So if we really are sheep of

  186. Christ, if we are really Christians, if we are really the

  187. people of Christ, then we must put our faith in Christ.

  188. Then we must believe that He has won the victory for us.

  189. Then we must believe that He is seated at the right hand of God.

  190. Now to intercede for you and me. That's why we can listen to the

  191. apostle Paul in Romans 834 to 36 saying these words.

  192. Who is he the condemns Christ Jesus who died?

  193. More than that, who was raised to life, is at the right hand of

  194. God and is also interceding for us.

  195. So that is our hope, that Christ did not only die for us, but he

  196. also rose again. He ascended into heaven and He

  197. is interceding for us. That is why the line of

  198. communication is always open, but she breaking demo Palos is

  199. Heaton. Satan is always trying to engage

  200. us, to engage us in some sort of a battle.

  201. He wants us to rebel against God and he wants us to do whatever

  202. that will keep us from having full fellowship with God.

  203. In other words, Satan wants to separate us from God.

  204. However, the apostle Paul also says, who shall separate us from

  205. the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or

  206. persecution or famine, or nakedness or danger or sword for

  207. us? It is written for your sake.

  208. We face that all day long. We are considered a sheep to be

  209. slaughtered. That's why, brothers and

  210. sisters, we must believe. We must believe in our Lord and

  211. Saviour Jesus Christ. However, when I talk about

  212. belief or when I talk about faith, it does not mean a

  213. passive faith. It should be an active fate

  214. because faith is not only about trusting the Lord with all of

  215. our hearts, but faith involves doing something as well.

  216. Someone who has faith does not just sit back and do nothing,

  217. but he acts in accordance with his faith.

  218. In Luther, we are saved by faith alone, but we are not saved by a

  219. faith that is alone, because a living faith, a true saving

  220. faith, is always coupled with action.

  221. And if we believe that our Father exist in heaven and that

  222. He deeply cares for you and me, and that He loves us so much,

  223. and that He provides for all our needs, and that He fights all of

  224. our battles for us, then we will want to talk with Him.

  225. We would want to talk to Him. When Christ gave up his life for

  226. us, He did not do it so that his children will be left passive.

  227. Gagawin. But actually Christ also showed

  228. his children how they are to keep the lines of communication

  229. with God open and that, brothers and sisters, is through prayer.

  230. Prayer is very necessary and integral part of our

  231. relationship with God. And for that reason, the basa

  232. nothingness Karina Samachu 6 that Jesus Christ left his

  233. disciples and all of the believers with the Lord's

  234. Prayer. He gave us the Lord's Prayer

  235. because he wants us to pray. Because prayer is a command,

  236. it's not an option. Indeed, I operating making

  237. Christian Christian prayers adding is an optional thing.

  238. No, a prayerless Christian is a contradiction of terms because

  239. no Christian will ever not pray to God.

  240. However, there is a problem. Kita Benegas attend the cries

  241. Young Lord's Prayer kidnapping Rumania Tayu Manalangin.

  242. Because of sin, we have lost our ability to speak to God and that

  243. is why we must be taught how to pray over and over again.

  244. So chapati, there's a lot of praying that is going on in this

  245. world. People pray for this and that

  246. and for everything else, but much of it, however, are

  247. worthless prayers. Kyanas and Abbas Anakin said

  248. James chapter 4 I'm sabadito, you ask and you do not receive

    James 4 chapter mention

  249. because you ask wrongly. Papadi, there is such a thing as

  250. a wrong prayer. What nothing is happening now

  251. clashing and prayer I valid and that is our problem.

  252. They even with us among Reformed Christians, we do not always

  253. pray for the right things and we do not always pray in the right

  254. manner. Unang barina dapat nothing

  255. Malaman about prayer did is that prayer must be based on an

  256. intimate knowledge of who God is.

  257. That is why in answer 117, it tells us that we must from our

  258. heart call upon the one true God only.

  259. Who has revealed himself in his word?

  260. Mbata owner in Egypt Mila as long as all OK neon despite no

  261. marapatti. The only true prayer is a prayer

  262. that is directed directed to the only one true God.

  263. So we can confidently say Kait number sound tired Mayabang that

  264. those who are praying to Buddha, those who are praying to Allah,

  265. or those who are praying to other gods, no one is hearing

  266. their prayers because those idols are lifeless.

  267. They are not the one true God. That's why sinabihan Kanina that

  268. there are many prayers that are going on in this world, but much

  269. of them are worthless because they are not directed to the one

  270. through God. And another problem that we have

  271. in prayer is that a lot of us are having difficulty in praying

  272. la Lola Luna po in public prayer.

  273. Some of us, we don't know what to say.

  274. Your task? No prayers about Magaling

  275. Magsalita or Samantha Alamilla in prayer.

  276. There are even parents who cannot leave their prayers in

  277. front of the table. Sahani langa anak.

  278. And there are men in the congregation who will not pray

  279. in public. Dial silapho.

  280. I need an Airbus. It's a problem of the nerves.

  281. Well, that is understandable brothers and sisters, but one

  282. thing that we must ask ourselves is why are we nervous?

  283. Bucket batayo kinakabahan ka tayo in in public about one

  284. possible reason is that probably we are comparing ourselves to

  285. those smooth tongue cannot compare Nathaniel McCray haha

  286. Alam nila Yuma right words in my right phrases Kapila

  287. inappropriate. But prayer is not just heaping

  288. of empty worn out phrases and words.

  289. You know rebuked the Jesus among the Pharisees Hindi to pagaling

  290. in Hindi ito oration Hindi ito declamation.

  291. But prayer is communication with God.

  292. And those people who only pray in public, even though how good

  293. they are in prayer, if they are not praying in private, it only

  294. shows that they don't really know their maker and they don't

  295. have an intimate relationship with God.

  296. For what is prayer? Magkapatid prayer is the

  297. expression of our covenant relationship with God.

  298. And if you know what it means to live within that covenant

  299. relationship, then you will not have any problem about prayer.

  300. You will not be at loss for words because if you really know

  301. God then alamona Hindi Japanese facilita alamana Primo there is

  302. you are just saying or you are just groaning.

  303. You cannot find the right words to say.

  304. God is still understands your prayer.

  305. So He understands our struggles. He knows that we are being

  306. chased and we are being the target of Satan.

  307. So you can tell those things to God, Puddicombe, Magsumbong,

  308. Sanya, and He will answer you and He will encourage you and He

  309. will comfort you. And if we really understand that

  310. we are in a covenant relationship with our Lord and

  311. Saviour, then we will also know when to pray.

  312. Chapati tradition of Christians who maintain a rigorous schedule

  313. of prayer numeracy long definite period of the day where they

  314. pray that Liam is strictly umaga tanghale happen Gabe neprisla.

  315. But most of us are not like that, I said.

  316. Don't customary usual prayer. Nothing not that long basis is

  317. an arrow at your prayer. Bago Matulog schedule young set

  318. of rules starting prayer at an excuse not in for having that

  319. practice practice is that alumni managing that we can pray at any

  320. place and at anytime Tamapa. However, experience tells us

  321. that those things that are not done in a specific time will be

  322. done in no time at all. Kya chilling and una poonami

  323. pinapa assignments amima counselling schedule kayo nang

  324. regular prayer time cause Alam namin from regular scheduled and

  325. prayer time Hindi talaga tayo Meridian Sabina independent

  326. practice. Could you presence the God

  327. throughout the whole day? My friends were nothing.

  328. If indeed Pata laga specific time to meet God, it will also

  329. be. It will also be impossible for

  330. us to maintain the presence of God in our everyday lives and as

  331. Christians. Brothers and sisters, prayers,

  332. prayer must be as natural as breathing.

  333. Indeed, to dapat Philippe Coutinho Balague, you go in.

  334. That is why the Apostle Paul urges his readers in first Test

  335. Solonians 517 to pray continually.

  336. Paul says that you should be praying at all times, that we

  337. should be giving God thanks in all circumstances.

  338. Keen on Mapati is that we should be praying to Him during times

  339. that there is much rejoicing and times where there is much

  340. adversity and affliction, because the Lord, if we will

  341. only pray to Him, will give us our needs.

  342. But let's listen further to what the Catechism is saying to us

  343. about prayer. It says that she will only give

  344. to those who ask, that God will only give to those who ask.

  345. But then we will wonder, is that really the case?

  346. Talagang, Jos. In B in the 1st place Hindutva,

  347. God already knows what we need even before we tell Him that

  348. into Sam's 139 verse 4 before a word is on my tongue, you know

  349. it completely. Ohh Lord, I think it is true

  350. that there are people who do not pray but receive the same things

  351. that we receive tamapa. There are people who receive

  352. their bread, they receive their drinks, their shelter and their

  353. clothing, even though they don't pray to God.

  354. And sometimes they receive even more Tamapa.

  355. Yeah, Changu baby million million.

  356. But such statements, brothers and sisters, is not made out of

  357. faith. Such statement is not made by

  358. someone who knows the way of the Lord.

  359. Because in the 1st place, God requires that we ask Him for His

  360. gifts. Therefore you need nothing.

  361. Playing on it is a matter of obedience.

  362. Hindi. Ito a matter of cause and

  363. effect. Hindi Tanghali and Onanga Behan

  364. wanna play again tight Manipuri nakatanga.

  365. But the problem is we are commanded to pray.

  366. So it's a matter of obedience. And sure, there are these people

  367. who, though they do not pray, they receive more than us, but

  368. they are disobedient and they are receiving this blessing to

  369. their own condemnation. So we must not envy them,

  370. because the things that they receive becomes judgment of God

  371. upon them. Indeed God gives us.

  372. Indeed, God gives to all men, but He gives only so that the

  373. recipient may acknowledge him as the supplier of all good things.

  374. I kept my receipt. Then you are missing the point.

  375. You are missing the true blessing behind the giving.

  376. And God gives us whatever we needs, whatever we need so that

  377. we may have a 40s of what is heaven like.

  378. Imagine those who are not praying, those who are not

  379. putting their faith in Christ. They are receiving things that

  380. are supposed to be the 4th taste of heaven, but then at the end

  381. of their life they will not go to heaven.

  382. That's why we should not envy them because they are receiving

  383. these blessings to their own condemnation in prayer.

  384. Beloved, it's not only for receiving things, but prayer is

  385. an expression of our faith. If you truly believe that God

  386. exists and that He created all things and that He provides

  387. every single thing in your life, then you cannot help but talk to

  388. Him about it and thank Him for all of these gifts.

  389. Deepu basic rise cabinas Anakin and gospels languishing.

  390. Nawala laggy Shanique withdraw Napabi Sunila andaming Tao, and

  391. then suddenly Bolana cries. Young Pala, he slipped away so

  392. that he can pray better be praying me.

  393. Christ is. Is that always parameterization

  394. something? No, but Christ is always

  395. slipping away because she loves God the Father and he cannot

  396. wait but tell God the Father all the wonderful things that he has

  397. done through him, and he wants to love God the Father.

  398. He wants to thank him, He wants to spend time with him.

  399. So it's not just about receiving brothers and sisters, but it is

  400. an expression of our faith. That's why when we see the

  401. sunrise, when we see the grass growing, when we see the animals

  402. being looked after in the field, in the forest, in the air, in

  403. the sea, and whenever we see food in our table, Kapino

  404. providing, what we have to do is to go to God and to thank Him

  405. and to talk to Him about this. Then we have to pour out our

  406. hearts to Him and to give things to Him.

  407. Someone who has studied God's Word realises fully well that

  408. whatever he receives, he receives out of grace alone.

  409. Humanity received that in Sepang in on Hindi Dahil deserved

  410. nothing. But on the other hand, the only

  411. thing that we deserve is condemnation because of our sin.

  412. And it's only through God's grace that we are the recipients

  413. of so many wonderful things. And someone who truly knows the

  414. Lord also knows deep in their heart that whatever He receives

  421. Brothers and sisters, that is foolishness to think that way

  422. because if God the Father who is in heaven sends his Son to shed

  423. blood for our sins, then anupam good things you will hold satin.

  424. Talabani. Is it Nathan then is to cause us

  425. harm? And as the Lord Jesus says in

  426. the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 7, what earthly father

  427. would give his own son a serpent instead of a fish?

  428. What earthly father will give his own son a stone instead of a

  429. piece of bread? If it's if that is how with our

  430. earthly fathers, who are usually not usually who are 100% of the

  431. times sinners, evil, then what? What does it look like with our

  432. Heavenly Father? The Lord God will never give you

  433. anything in order to harm you. If you are truly a Christian,

  434. then everything that comes your way will always be for your own

  435. good, even if sometimes not perceive not in the things

  437. You know not pinapadala naa man, for he cannot do that, said

  438. Romans 828. For all things work together for

  441. everything happens for our own good.

  442. Cameraman Winnie withhold and just hating it's for our own

  443. good. That's why when we pray, we must

  444. acknowledge Him as our faithful and our loving Father.

  445. And as we read from the letter of James, God gives to all men

  446. generously, yet we must ask in faith.

  447. We must not doubt. For he who doubt is like a wave

  448. of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.

  449. The Lord your God is concerned about you.

  450. He is concerned about our eternal will be.

  451. And that leads us to the second point of our preaching.

  452. As we saw a while ago, prayer is only for Christians and prayer

  453. for indeed para semana unbeliever.

  454. But it's only for Christian. It is only for those who know

  455. the will of the Lord and who are willing to do the will of the

  456. Lord. And if you know God, then you

  457. also know that you are to fight against your skin with all your

  458. might. And those who lie and cheat

  459. habitually without remorse, and who then lift up their hands in

  460. prayer to God and in worship, as it is said in Isaiah 115, they

  461. will not be able to see the face of God because it will be hidden

  462. from them in those who refuse to forgive.

  463. Those who sin against them will not expect to receive

  464. forgiveness from God, even though they pray for it.

  465. And those who do not want to put a good fight when Satan tempts

  466. them will not receive any health benefit if they pray for

  467. protection from temptation. And it also does not make any

  468. sense for us to ask riches from God when God says in Matthew

  469. 1924 that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of

  470. the needle for than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of

  471. God. My point, brothers and sisters,

  472. is that it is supposed to be pray and work.

  473. It must be Ora et labora. 1 does not come without the other.

  474. You will not receive something from God if you are not willing

  475. to fight for it yourself. Even our children's magkapatid,

  476. they know that they are something that they cannot ask

  477. from their parents. Kya Misan Marina minion game

  478. mummy and daddy can say Hindi naman B gay sahim you might

  479. parents nila. And that should be the same way

  480. with us. We should also know our Heavenly

  481. Father. We ought to know what we can ask

  482. and what we can ask for. We ought to know what is a

  483. legitimate request and what is a non legitimate requests.

  484. As Paul says, inefficiency 5/17 Do not be foolish, but

  485. understand what the Lord's will is and the Lord said in the

  486. Sermon on the Mount. Your father knows what you need

  496. and personal wants. And why while this paralytic is

  497. in the feet, is at the feet of Jesus, the people around him

  498. they knew fully well, at least they think that they knew what

  499. the greatest need of that paralytic is.

  522. So we are on earth and God is in heaven.

  523. So our words must be you meaning to say we must think about it

  524. and that includes that we must know what is good for us.

  529. That's why in answer 116 the Heidelberg Catechism mentioned

  530. to us the most important prayer needs that we have the two most

  531. important prayer items. The Hindi Dapat Nawawala sat in

  538. we prayed for the Holy Spirit? Napapijri pub inattention.

  539. They allow you people in Athens ideal prayer important thing

  540. prayer items. And why do we need first of all,

  541. God's grace so desperately in our lives?

  542. We need God's grace because we fell into sin.

  543. We are all sinners. Without God's grace in our

  544. lives, we will perish eternally. For God's grace refers to his

  545. mercy. God's grace refers to His

  546. compassion. And there is even an old Hebrew

  547. word that connects the word grace to the womb of the mother,

  548. Bangalore. He always, she always wants what

  549. is the best for the baby and she doesn't want anything harm to

  550. happen to that baby and that is the same as well between God and

  551. his children. That's why we should always ask

  552. for the grace of God. And for that reason we also must

  553. pray for the Holy Spirit, for the Holy Spirit will dwell in

  554. our hearts if we are truly desirous to live close to our

  555. God. For what does the Holy Spirit

  556. do? Anubha and main ministry in the

  557. Holy Spirits acting the Holy Spirit sanctifies us.

  558. That is the majority of the activity of the Holy Spirit in

  559. the life of a Christian. That means He makes us wholly,

  560. He makes us pure, He makes us righteous, and He makes us

  561. acceptable in the sight of God. And the Holy Spirit does that by

  562. burning away all of our impurities.

  563. And the Holy Spirit also guides us.

  564. The Holy Spirit reminds us time and again of the law of God and

  565. what it takes for us to show our thankfulness to him.

  566. And the Holy Spirit reminds us of the will of God.

  567. And most of all, Mahatid. The Holy Spirit reminds us that

  568. our obedience ultimately depends on the obedience of Christ

  569. alone. That's why it's only through the

  570. Holy Spirit that we can be called children of God.

  571. They are brothers and sisters. We are at war, but in that war

  572. let us not forget that God is on our side.

  573. That's why we should always call Him to our side.

  574. And it's only through Him that we can win this battle against

  575. Satan. And it's only through him that

  576. the lines of communication has been restored.

  577. That's why we should keep those lines open.

  578. We must always pray continually. Amen.

  579. Let us all pray. Father God, we thank you for

  580. reminding us over and over again that the lines of communication

  581. that has been destroyed by sin is now restored in our Lord and

  582. Saviour Jesus Christ. That we do not only served as

  583. the door, He did not only serve as the way to heaven, our way to

  584. you, but it's also now seated at the right hand of the power and

  585. He is now providing certainty for our access to you.

  586. Ohh God. So Father, please remind us that

  587. we cannot live our lives alone, especially when Satan is out to

  588. destroy us, that we need our greatest ally in our lives, and

  589. that is You. Ohh God, we pray that you teach

  590. us to always keep the lines of communication, that we will

  591. practice prayer as natural as breathing.

  592. Father, we pray that as we grow in our knowledge of the world

  593. that we will also grow in our prayer lives.

  594. And that we do not only pray in public.

  595. That we are not only good in speaking the right words when we

  596. are praying in the presence of our brothers and sisters, but

  597. that we are continually praying to You even though no one is

  598. looking us. So Father, help us realise our

  599. great need for you and always help us to come to you, to pray

  600. to you and to always keep the lines of communication open.

  601. All of this we pray in Jesus name, Amen.
