Good morning.

>> Are you ready for the service?

>> Listen, I just need to share something.

You You all had good food this

Christmas.

>> So, I have to share this one quickly

with you guys. So, because we're from

South Africa, we like to eat cow tongue.

So, we cook it. And I know it's not a

lot of Americans eat that, but some of

the the Hispanic people, they like cow

tongue. But so we prepared cow tong on

the farm and so we had a few Americans

on the farm with us as well for

Christmas. So we were testing the cow

tong. So Miss Kathleen was there and

she's like, "Peter, I don't eat that." I

said, "Miss Kathleen, pre please just

have a just have a bite so you can at

least have the experience." So

eventually she took a piece of the

tongue and she she chew it and she

swallowed. And I said, "Miss Kathleen,

how was the tongue?" She said, "Well, at

least I didn't throw up." [laughter] And

I was like, man, okay, that's a positive

answer. So, yeah, we all have different

things when we when we go on Christmas.

Amen.

Listen, before we start today, um, let's

pray. Father God, I thank you for this

morning and I, Father, I thank you that

you're a good God. Holy Spirit, I pray

that you will anoint me to speak what

you want me to speak and that I will say

what you want me to say. I pray that

every ear and heart will be open to

receive what you have to give them,

Father God. And I ask that in Jesus

name. Amen.

>> Listen, this morning I want to start

with u something that I read it. It

happened in the 1957.

It was a professor at the University of

uh John Hopkins University in uh

Delaware. So this this professor was at

the university and and he's and he did a

test. So he took 12 buckets

and he filled the buckets with water and

then he took 12 rats and he put in each

bucket he put a rat and he was he was

timing these rats and he was looking at

the rats and most of the rats drowned in

the first two minutes. Some of them made

it to 15 minutes. And while I'm reading

this, I'm thinking, and you're you're a

professor. [laughter] I don't know if I

want to have you teach my children. I

mean, you're just killing all these

rats, drowning them. I mean, the worst I

did, I think, was and that was in grade

five. I was not a professor. We were in

boarding school. So, in boarding school,

you were never allowed to have a pet. I

mean, so you'll go on Monday, you go to

boarding school, and you'll come back on

Friday. But if you do sport, you'll go

maybe once a month you'll go home. So no

pet. I mean that's tough on a kid. If

you grow up on a farm and there's

animals and all this stuff, you missed

the pet. So I decided, so I caught a

leech in the pond.

And I had a bottle with water and I put

my leech in there and I decided the

leech is going to be my pet. So I took I

took my pet to the boarding school and

so once a week I will feed my pet. You

know, you stick your finger in there.

Here he comes. He sucks and he's he's

like healthy and fat. And then it was

always a struggle to get him off my

thumb, but then I put him back in the

bottle, the bottle. And then I started,

you know, like this professor doing the

testing experience. There was no chat

GTP that you could ask how long a leech

will live without blood. So I'll I'll go

him I'll feed him once a week and then

I'll skip a month. And I see that big

leech, he gets a skinny. And I'm like,

man, he's strong. He he made it through.

And then I'll take him for a second

month and a third month. And if you ask

Chad GTP today, a leech can probably go

over a year without food. I didn't know

that back then, but I didn't kill my

leech. I eventually I released him and

he was fine. But this professor, I mean,

he was killing the rats. But this

professor did something after that first

test run in the buckets. He took the

rats. He took another 12 rats. he with

the water and he put the rats in the

water and just before the rats drowned,

he would take them out of the water and

he'll take them back to their cage. He

will feed them and he will let them rest

for a day. So the first 12 rats drowned

in the first 15 minutes, most of them in

two minutes. So the second time with

these rats that he saved, he put them

back a day later. He put them back into

the bucket

and the rats were staying and they were

trampling water and they actually call

this the hope test. So the rats will be

trampling on or stepping on the water,

you know, swimming, whatever you want to

call it, but they will last 80 hours

from 2 minutes to 80 hours, 3 days, 3

and 1/2 days because somebody gave them

hope.

And I want to start today and I want to

read with you this scripture.

It's in 2 Timothy 1:9-10. It says, "He

2 Timothy 1:9–10

has saved us and called us to a holy

life, not because of anything we have

done, but because of his own purpose and

grace, the grace that was given us in

Christ Jesus before the beginning of

time. But it has now revealed through

the appearing of our savior Christ

Jesus, who has destroyed death and has

brought life and immortality to light

through the gospel.

I want to ask you today,

this guy was giving hope to the rats.

The scripture says you have the key

of light and immortality in your hand.

If you're saved, if you're born again,

the gospel is the key to immortality.

I want to ask you, what are you doing

with this key? The Bible says Christ in

you, the hope of glory. This is not a

three-hour thing or a 10-minute thing

with the rats. This is the eternal thing

that you are carrying.

Sometimes we get complacent and we're

like, "Oh, yeah." And that's good. You

can pray for your family. You can pray

for the season to have wealth and

breakthrough.

But you carry a key that can save

humanity if you're saved.

There are so many people in the US and

all over the world that's trampling in

the water. They're drowning. What are

you doing with your key?

Are you applying your key? Do you know

that you have Christ, the hope of glory

in you? Are you touching people for

eternity? Man, wow. What more? It's so

amazing to carry that key of

immortality. You've watched all the

serieses on TV. I mean, this guy is

immortal and that guy's immortal. But

you have it if you're saved. And you can

take that key and you can touch somebody

else's life.

up in Oringsburg. I I I was helping with

a men's group and the the group at the

the leader of the men's group. I was

sitting down with him one day and I

think there are 100 plus men that's

coming to this men's group and I'm

sitting with this guy that's working

with the men and I said to him, I I have

a question for you. And he's like, yeah,

what's the question? I said, in the 100

plus men that you have, how many people

in this group have ever led somebody to

the Lord?

And this guy looked at me. He said,

"Peter, I think there's maybe two or

three guys." And I think, "Oh, God,

here's men that's been in church their

whole life and they've never led

somebody to the Lord. They have the key.

Freely you received.

Freely you must give.

>> It's going to stretch you." in in this

church. Can I ask by a raise of hands,

how many of you have led some one person

to the Lord? If if praise God, the Bible

says, "He that wins souls is wise." How

many of you have led five people to the

Lord?

Praise God. 10. Okay, I'm going to stop

there. If you've never done that, I know

it's fearful. It's stretching it. It It

will stretch you to do that.

the the first guy that I've led to the

Lord. Uh I was saved about four weeks.

And so when I got saved, I was sitting

on a farm in Africa. I said, "Jesus, uh

the tax collectors and the prostitutes

is going to enter into the kingdom

before Peter. I'm a horrible man." So,

and that's how I accepted Christ. But

then 3 weeks later, I'm sitting at a a

you know a Bible study and the preacher

is there and it's a religious church. So

nobody there was saved.

So I'm sitting in the in in in this in

this Bible study and they're talking to

the one. So it's a lot of farmers and

the and the preacher and so they're

talking about corn and about soya beans

and cattle. Nobody's really talking

about God. So they do they come for the

cake. So on the farms in Africa when we

have Bible study, it's cake and it's

almost like Thanksgiving. So I'm sitting

there and they're eating and I'm sitting

and I'm thinking, is somebody going to

ask the question, are you saved? Do you

know Jesus? And nobody asked the

question. The the preacher left and the

farmers left. And so the guy that had

the farm that I was sitting with, so he

was he couldn't leave. It's his place.

So I'm sitting there at the end and his

name is Andre. And I said, so when

everybody left, I said, "Andre, I have a

question for you today." And he's like,

"Yeah, what's that, Peter?" I said,

"Andre, if you die today, where are you

going to spend eternity?" And he's a big

guy. He looked at me and the next

moment, this guy just burst out in

tears. He's like, "I think I'm going to

hell." I said, "That cannot happen. We

need to do something about it." So I

said to him, I said, "Andre, let's let's

pray. We need to pray." So he got down

at the c at his couch and we knel down.

And then I'm just as I wanted to start

to pray, I was thinking, "Okay, I've

never done this." And I'm thinking that

night when I said, "God, the tax

collectors and the prostitutes is going

to enter into the kingdom of heaven." I

don't know if that's going to sit well

if I sit here and say, "Andre, follow my

prayer. God, I'm Andre. The tax

collectors and the prostitutes is going

to enter into the kingdom." I thought,

man, that's going to be horrible for

this man if I say the prostitutes is

going to be in heaven before him. And

then I remember that there's a sinner's

prayer, but I had no idea how that

looked. So I phoned Blanch. I said,

"Blnes, I've heard about this sinner's

prayer. You need to help me. Start

writing it down. I'm coming to our farm.

When I get to the farm, you need to have

it ready for me on a piece of paper, and

then I'll go back." And I said, "Andre,

there's a specific prayer that you need

to pray. Just wait." And he said,

"Okay." So, I got him my drug. I drove

20 miles to get the prayer that Blance

has written down on a piece of paper.

And I came back. I said, "Andre, I got

it. I got it. This is it. This is it."

And so he was sitting there and he

prayed after me. And I mean, I think God

was sitting there. Oh, Peter, I mean,

you went like 40 miles back and forth.

It took me an hour to get this guy to

God.

But you know what? I handed him the keys

of immortality.

Don't look at your ability and how good

you can present it. Yeah, we can always

do better and we can equipped ourselves

better, but the enemy will always tell

you, "Oh, no, he's not he's not he's not

in the right mood now. You're not good

enough. You're not rich enough. You're

not this. No, no, no, no. I'm a child of

the living God. I carries the keys of

heaven with me. I'm going to share. If

you reject it, that's good. But what if

you take it? What if everybody in this

church, we're at the end of the year.

What in your heart, maybe there's one

person, God, give me favor to spread the

gospel for this coming season. Just one.

If you've never done it, just go for

one. If you've done one, maybe go for

two. If you've done five, maybe go for

another five. Amen.

>> Praise God. Thank you, Jesus. Are you

ready for this year?

>> The next one I want to talk to you about

is if you're a child of God and you're

starting to step out as a child of God,

you will come under attack. It happened

with Jesus. It's going to happen with

you, too. Amen. Don't fear that.

Bring it on.

So the first attack that I want to read

today is in Luke 4 verse 2-3.

Luke 4:2–3

It says, "So Jesus went on a fast,

40-day fast. He went into the desert."

And it says, "So when Jesus was standing

in the desert, it says in the Bible, it

says, "From the moment of the baptism,

Jesus overflowed with the Holy Spirit,

he was taken by the spirit from the

Jordan into the wilderness of Judea to

experience to experience for for 40 days

the ordeal of testing by the accuser. He

ate no food during this time and ended

his 40-day fast very hungry.

If you've done a fast, you know 40 days,

very hungry. And it says it was then

that the devil said to him, "If you are

really the son of God, command these

stones to turn into a loaf of bread for

you." You see, there's the first attack.

And he's going to do the same thing with

you. So Jesus, he didn't try Jesus, hey,

are you hungry? Do you want some bread?

Why? I mean, if you've been hungry, have

you driven through a bakery, that bread

smell, oh man, you're not hungry, but

when you smell that bread, so he's

testing, he said, Jesus, turn this rocks

into bread. But he comes at this time

when he's very hungry, at his weakness.

You know what? The devil is going to

test you when you're at your weakness.

>> He's going to try and manipulate you

when you're weak. Listen, he's a he's a

hunter. I've I've watched the hunters in

the US. They put out corn and then, you

know, they put up that deer stand and

they're watching because they're they're

looking for the deer to come and eat the

corn. And I see some of them, they they

will put a nice

uh dough there next to the corn. So,

when the buck walks around, he's like,

"She's pretty." You know, the devil is

doing exactly the same thing.

You're at work, your wife was maybe mean

to you the day, and suddenly the

secretary that works there is like, "Oh,

sir, you want a coffee?" And she's, "And

that's how he baits you.

His tricks have never changed."

So, what is the bait that he's putting

out for you? What's the area in your

life that he's attacking?

The second thing he did with Jesus, he

said to Jesus, "If you are really the

son of God, so he was messing with

Jesus's identity." He'll do the same

with you.

You know how many men I've heard or

people that says, "You know what? I'm

struggling with this, but I'm only

human."

You know, the moment you say that,

you're agreeing. the chances of you

getting out of that struggle is kind of

zero because you're immediately saying,

"Oh, it's, you know, it's because I'm

human that I can still be stuck in

that."

>> And Jesus said, "I paid the price in

full so you can be free."

>> That's right.

>> Amen.

>> How many of you have been to How do you

fight this battle? The one of the flesh,

the one that's trying to hit you at your

weakness. I've so many times about it

and I realized, you know what? How many

have have you ever been to the Brazilian

restaurant?

[laughter] Oh, yeah. You know, if you've

been there, you've been there. I mean,

they're killing you with meat.

You're sitting there and I mean, I don't

know, it's red, green, red, green, but

it's just coming. The meat is just

coming and they're feeding you. Have you

ever seen somebody? Okay, maybe they're

buzz, but I haven't seen any. So, I just

eat one olive. That's my That's my

vegetables for the night. and then it's

meat. But when I get out of when I get

out of that restaurant, I can walk past

Publix. I can go past McDonald's. I can

go past Chick-fil-A. I have no desire

>> for that.

You see, when you push that cart when

you go into Publix, when you go and buy

do some shopping, man, when you're

hungry, have I don't know if it's just

me, but you fill that that trolley or

that cart, you're like, "Man, I want

that cookies and I like this and I do

this and you just But when you're full,

you just you just buy what you need."

Amen.

>> That's how you overcome the devil.

>> Jesus said, "You will not live bread

alone, but every word that comes forth

out of the mouth of God."

You need to fill that areas in your life

with the word of God.

>> That's the only way you're going to have

victory over sin. That's the only way

you're going to have victory where with

any emotional stuff that you're dealing

with is fill that area. Get a scripture

and fill that area with the word of God.

So when the devil comes there and he

knocks and he says, "I want to come in."

You say, "No, I'm full."

>> Amen.

>> I am full. I don't need that.

when I got to the states, you know, one

of the things that the enemy was mocking

me a lot on. So, I moved here and and

and I mean, I lost my house, I lost my

job, I lost uh my family, I lost a lot

of things coming to hear. And so, the

enemy will come and he will whisper into

my ear and he says, "Uh, Peter, you're a

failure.

You said yes to God, but you have

nothing left after you did what you when

you said yes to God. you're 50 years

almost, you can never rebuild what you

build in Africa. So he was constantly in

my ear. He was like, "You remember

walking on the ranch?" He can tell you

the nice stories, too. Hiking for 5

hours, enjoying your nice house, having

your friends come over, get the

helicopter, and we fly over the farm and

go and check some corn. So, I started to

miss that. And I and and it's and when

it gets into you, it it's it's trying to

destroy you because you're you're

longing for that. How did I fight that?

The word of God.

>> The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not

want.

>> He makes me lie down in green pastures.

He leads me to still waters. He restores

my soul. He leads me on the path of

righteousness for his name's sake.

Though I go through the valley of the

shadow of death, I will fear no evil

because my God is with me. His rod and

his staff will comfort me. He prepares a

table for me in the presence of my

enemy. He anoints my head with oil.

I was fighting that. I was fighting that

with the word of my father. I shall not

want. I only want him.

>> What are you doing in the scenario when

you're struggling? Get full of God. The

enemy will have no hold on you.

>> One day I'm going to run the streets of

gold.

That's what's going to be my share.

Amen. Not because of me, but because of

the goodness of my father.

>> The second attack that I want to talk to

you about,

it's in Luke 4

Luke 4:5–7

verse 5-7. And it says, "So the devil

lifted Jesus high into the sky and

flashed and show him all the kingdoms

and regions of the world." The devil

said to Jesus, "All of this will will

all of this with all its power,

authority, and splendor is mine to give

to whomever I wish. Just do one thing

and I will have it and you will have it

all. Simply bow down to worship me and

it will be yours.

You will possess everything

as a child of God. The devil is going to

tempt you to go after authority and

position and and and and and fame. You

know what they said the kids these days

when when we were little when you ask a

child what he wants to be, he will tell

you, I want to be a police officer. I

want to be a a firefighter. I want to be

this. But they said most kids these

days, if you ask them what they want to

be, they will they will tell you, I want

to be famous.

You see, the police officer and the

firefighter was serving the community,

but fame is all about me and people

worshiping me.

>> So, the devil is doing exactly the same

thing. He came and that's the thing that

made him full. He wanted to be in

charge, but he could not because God is

the king. Amen.

>> So, he's going to try and trick you to

step into that position of authority. If

it's not your time to be in that

position, it will ruin you.

I'm telling you, you you might be

wanting the position at job, at work.

You might want to have the position as

the worship leader or the preacher or

the pastor. If you if it's not your

time, that will ruin you if you're not

rooted in in God and he did not release

you for that.

>> So, you just keep on serving and keep on

doing what God has called you for. I

mean, I love what Jesus said. It's it's

it's in Matthew 26:53 to 54. Before they

Matthew 26:53–54

crucified Jesus, the Roman guards came

to capture him in the garden. And so

this is what happened in the garden. And

that's how we can learn from Jesus. He

said, it says, so when the guard

captured Jesus, Peter took his sword and

he chopped off one of the guard's ears

of the Roman soldiers. And then Jesus

put the ear back and he said, don't you

realize that I could ask my heavenly

father for angels to come at any time to

deliver me? And in an instant, he would

answer me by sending more than 12

legions of angels to come and protect

us. But that would thwart the prophetic

plan of God. For it's been written that

it would happen this way. You see, he

was standing there. Not every position,

not every uh place of authority is from

God. He said, I could ask for the angels

and God will send them. But if he used

the angels to kill mankind and to make

them bow before him, they would have

never called him king of kings. Because

the prophetic word for his life was the

way it went. If you don't know the

prophetic assignment on your life,

you're going to go for positions. You're

going to go for authority that was not

meant for you yet

>> or not in the right way. Amen.

>> So, you need to get in and say, "God,

why am I here? Am I just serving? And if

I serve in the right time, what's the

reason? Where do I need to serve? What's

the prophetic assignment on my life?

>> And God dealt with this with me a long

time ago. I remember I was leading one

of my friends to the Lord and uh and I

took him to a men's retreat. And at the

men's retreat, I was serving there for

two years. And I went to the leadership

and I said to the leadership, I said,

"Please, I want to I want to speak. Can

you guys help me uh train me to be a

speaker?" And um They said they will

think about it

and a year later they never responded

about me asking them to become a speaker

and and I mean so this friend of mine

that I led to the Lord he came with me

two years later and one afternoon while

he was sitting there and he had a nice

voice that could carry nice one of the

leadership came to me and they said oh I

like Stefan he's got a nice voice listen

we're going to ask him next men's

meeting to to be one of the speakers and

I'm sitting there but I mean I didn't

show it on my face. I mean uh I was just

thinking in my mind I've asked you guys

to be a speaker here.

I've brought this guy to Christ. I've he

he skipped the line of being a help or a

a help and then being a just serving

there for two years. And now he said

boom right here in front they're making

me him a speaker. And I I didn't say

anything. I just I was just oh man. And

so that day they when he finally got to

his time to be the speaker, I was

standing in the back of the hall and

Stefan was preaching and I was thinking

there I think I'm done with this men's

retreat. Once this is done, I'm I'm I'm

going to leave. They didn't see me. They

didn't use me. I wanted to be I was

faithful for two years helping,

cleaning. Nobody paid attention. And

while I was standing there, God started

speaking to me. He said, "Peter,

will you be happy if your son Henry

farms bigger than you?" I said, "Oh,

God, I I would love that. That would be

so awesome." He said to me, "Peter,

that's your spiritual son. If he stands

on the stage and speak, why are you not

happy?"

And I started weeping in the back of

that wall. I said, "God, I'm so sorry.

Use him, God." And I started praying for

him. I said, "God, use him. Open door

for him. Let him speak, Father God. Use

him wherever you can. And God dealt with

that thing. And I said, "God, whenever

it's time for me to speak, that's good.

I'm not going to pursue this anymore,

I'm going to pursue you." I want to tell

you today, so many people leave church

because they're not getting the

opportunity. They're not being made the

prophet or the apostle or whatever the

reason might be. If God in heaven

declares that day he makes you king, you

will be king.

>> Keep on serving, keep on helping, and be

faithful. And don't let the devil come

and tell you, "Oh, you're not good

enough. See, they chose that one over

you." Amen. So, make sure of that

attack.

The third attack that I want to talk

about

is in Luke 4:9-11.

Luke 4:9–11

So Jesus was standing there and then the

devil tempted him again. He said to next

the devil took Jesus to Jerusalem

Jerusalem and said to him on the highest

point of the temple and tempted him

saying if you really are the son of God

jump down in front of all the people for

it is written in the scripture God has

given his angels instructions to protect

you from harm. For angel's hands will

hold you and upkeep you from hurting

even one foot on a stone. You see what

Satan was doing here? He was twisting

the scriptures.

The devil will come and he will twist

the scriptures. That's one of his

attacks. You know, can I tell you one

thing? The devil can ne I've heard so

many people that says the the devil

knows the scriptures. You know what? I

know the scripture better than him. Why?

I read the scripture through the spirit

of God. He can never read the scripture

through the spirit. He can never get the

revelation that I can get through the

spirit of God. I'm not a weakling to to

towards him. I'm filled with the spirit

of God. The spirit that's beyond him.

Amen.

>> If Jesus or if the devil knew that Jesus

was the savior of the world, he would

have never let them crucify him. He

would have put bodyguards in place to

keep him alive. But he could not see

that in the scriptures because he's not

spiritfilled. I want to I want you to

understand your authority when you're

spiritfilled and you're full of God.

What you carry. Not everybody that

quotes the scripture is from God.

>> The devil was quoting scripture there as

well.

>> Let let me put it to you practical. When

I left the farm, the group that I was

with took over the sheep farming, the

part of the sheep. And before I came to

the states, they always had this. Oh,

Peter, you need to do this. I saw that

on YouTube. You need to do this. We've

read up about that. You're doing it

wrong. You need to do it like this. And

then they took the sheep over. We had

1,400 sheep. When the laming season was

there, it was close to 3,000.

I'm four years in the US. We don't have

any sheep left.

Why? Because they were never shepherds.

The people that was working with the

sheep suddenly had no idea how to work

with the sheep. I will not listen to a

guy that doesn't smell like sheep.

>> When when when you work with people, I

want to smell sheep. I don't want to see

a YouTube video and run after the

YouTube video because you're saying

that. [applause] Amen.

I mean, I will not let a guy, and I'm

not arrogant when I say that, I will not

let a guy teach me about praying in

tonesues. If you cannot pray in

tonesues, it's like teaching me from

sheep, but you've never worked with

sheep. you're going to kill the sheep

>> or prophecy.

>> Oh, I've seen so many people go out on

on YouTube and they will, oh, this

prophet missed it. Have you ever asked

that guy how many times he has

prophesied and it was successful? You

see, the devil will attack that because

there's one thing the Bible says when

you pray in the spirit, it edifies you.

It builds my faith. And he knows if he

can stop me from praying in tongues.

He knows the Bible says

it's impossible to please God without

faith. I need faith. So when I want to

stir my faith, I get there.

I start praying in tongues. If you say,

"Oh, you need to interpret that." That's

that you just said, Peter, just read a

little bit further. It says, "Don't

hinder them when they pray in tones."

Trust me.

But I'm telling you, you need to get

into the spirit and be aware what the

devil is trying to do. He's trying to

stop you. And when Jesus left there, it

says he went with [music] power and fame

followed him.

We are here today to worship one king.

And I want to tell you, keep your eyes

on him and you will never be deceived.

Because if you're in the light, I can

clearly see what the enemy's plan

[music] is.

But you need to position yourself there.

Stop listening to people online that you

don't know anything about their

background. [music] You don't know how

they treat their wives. You don't know

how they live. It's easy to say online.

I mean, I can put my face nice and

everything. I mean, I can even, you

know, I can look skinny when I put a

picture on Facebook, but come to North,

you're like, "Oh, man. You're a little

bit older than that picture."

It's the same.

It's the same thing. I want to encourage

you. Christ has overcome this world.

>> You have victory. You're carrying

[music] the keys of immortality. Go and

use it.

>> Amen.
