  1. I'm excited.

  2. Today I'm going to be talking about uh a

  3. message titled on the other side of

  4. pain. I I do feel that God wants to

  5. rewire the way we see pain and we see

  6. hurt. I do feel that there's a lot of

  7. misconceptions that sometimes keep the

  8. people of God and people bounded uh to

  9. bitterness, to hurt, to trauma. But I

  10. just feel this there's an anointing this

  11. morning and I do feel that there's going

  12. to be some breakthrough. The stuff that

  13. you carry that you came in with this

  14. morning, you're going to look back and

  15. it's not going to be there. Amen.

  16. >> You know, God gave me this dream. It was

  17. a kind of a weird dream and a vision.

  18. And in that dream and a vision, I saw

  19. myself with the people of Israel and

  20. they were right uh right about to cross

  21. the Red Sea. And and I have read that

  22. scripture many times. But this time I

  23. felt the terror. I felt the pain. I felt

  24. uh the pressure of that moment for

  25. Israel. They have a whole army chasing

  26. them. You got no weapons. You got no

  27. training. This is the army that have

  28. oppressed you for 400 years

  29. generationally.

  30. And they are getting closer and closer

  31. and closer. And I'm looking around and I

  32. see my wife, I see my daughter. And the

  33. thought came in, we may die today. And I

  34. felt that pressure of that moment. And

  35. then I looked to the front. I saw the

  36. Red Sea opening. I saw us walking. And

  37. then I looked back and the enemy was

  38. there no more.

  39. The scripture says the enemies you see

  40. today, you will see no more. I do

  41. believe there's stuff that have been

  42. chasing you. Not just you, just

  43. generationally. Stuff that have plagued

  44. even your family, even generations after

  45. you. sickness, bitterness, pain, hurt,

  46. trauma, bondage, cycles that have come

  47. to your life that this is the season.

  48. This is a season of crazy revival and

  49. power. I do believe many of you will

  50. look back and you will not find it. You

  51. will look back at depression. You will

  52. look back at hurt. You will look back at

  53. trauma. You will look uh back at

  54. suicidal thoughts. You will look back at

  55. whatever was uh harassing you and

  56. harassing generations before you. And

  57. you're not going to find it. You're

  58. going to look back at poverty and it's

  59. not going to be there. You're going to

  60. look back at those cycles and they're

  61. going to be gone. I remember a time like

  62. that. Uh I think I shared this before. I

  63. went to a conference and I was so upset

  64. and and God, you know, you're probably

  65. more spiritual than me. Uh but but

  66. sometimes I get upset with God and and

  67. he's quick to answer back. Um we got our

  68. moments and and we're at this conference

  69. all my all my friends are getting rocked

  70. are getting you know like when you go to

  71. a place everybody's receiving but you

  72. you know you're sitting there and I was

  73. I say God I don't feel a thing and uh

  74. and I remember this powerful man of God

  75. was laying hands on people everybody

  76. being slain and I was like number 20 in

  77. the line and I say I have never been

  78. slain in the spirit so I say well maybe

  79. what what I I will go to try to go back

  80. and maybe on the way God sees my fade

  81. and catch me. Um, that was not the case.

  82. Not this time. Uh, so I'm sitting there

  83. looking up. I said, "Man, what do I do

  84. now?" You know, I was just thinking I

  85. have to stand up and look anointed or

  86. something because

  87. So I'm like, "Ah,

  88. you know,

  89. and on the the trip back home, I was

  90. upset with God. I was fighting with

  91. God." Did that ever happen to you? Have

  92. you ever been in seasons that you're

  93. upset with God? There's you're you're

  94. you're upset because there's this place

  95. between promise and where you are.

  96. There's this gap that if you're not

  97. careful can be a breeding ground for

  98. offense for pain. Many even friends of

  99. God go through that place. You know,

  100. Abraham is having a conversation with

  101. his father. Now, now Abraham is a friend

  102. of God. Abraham knows God. You know, the

  103. Bible says that angels will come and

  104. have lunch with him. Read that. That's

  105. phenomenal. And that's the level of

  106. relationship this guy have with God. And

  107. now God is telling him, "I'm going to

  108. bless you so much." And and and the

  109. feedback that he get from Abraham was

  110. was he was upset. He was mad. Said, "Why

  111. are you going to give me all that stuff?

  112. I don't even have a child to give it to.

  113. That stuff will be inherited by my

  114. servants." Because it was an area of

  115. pain in his heart. Because a lot of

  116. times in your walk, you will encounter

  117. pain. Make no mistake, life have a way

  118. to to bring things to you. But I dare to

  119. say that pain is not there for your

  120. destruction. The scripture says in the

  121. other side of pain, there's your highest

  122. levels of breakthrough, your highest

  123. level of healings and encounters with

  124. God. So we have to and not not not not

  125. just see it for what it is but we need

  126. to understand the dynamics of pain and

  127. how we deal with it how we see pain

  128. because at the other side God have for

  129. you your greatest level of breakthrough

  130. encounters and healing that you have

  131. ever seen in your life. Amen.

  132. >> So Abraham is sitting there and God have

  133. to pull him out because there's a part

  134. of his process the promise have produced

  135. some pain. So as as we are understanding

  136. pain we need to understand there are

  137. different types of pain you know and

  138. this morning I'm going to I'm going to

  139. try to cover three types of pain and

  140. it's the the pain that wounds you the

  141. hurting pain uh is a brain that brings

  142. damage uh the pain of birthing something

  143. the burden pain of of grow pains and the

  144. pain of healing. uh if we can understand

  145. these three basics uh types of pain and

  146. how we handle it, you can make pain one

  147. of the most productive places in your

  148. life. Amen.

  149. >> And the first type of pain I want to

  150. talk about is the the pain of the the

  151. wounding pain, hurting pain. And and and

  152. I encounter this a lot especially in in

  153. pastoral counseling in my other line of

  154. work dealing with uh children and risky

  155. behaviors in the school system. Uh I

  156. always see see pain everywhere I go and

  157. I see two groups of people. I see the

  158. people that knows how to deal with that

  159. pain in effective ways and that that

  160. pain becomes not only a blessing to them

  161. and not only an opportunity for

  162. encounter but an opportunity for growth

  163. and formation that set them up for their

  164. destiny. And I see the other group that

  165. tries to hide from the pain, roam from

  166. the pain, medicate the pain, entertain

  167. the pain. But pain is funny because you

  168. have a way to come out. And he always

  169. have a way to come out when you least

  170. expected it. Have you encountered that?

  171. Have you ever been triggered?

  172. I hear that word a lot. This generation

  173. love that word trigger, right? They

  174. trigger me.

  175. Well, if they're triggering you, it's

  176. not their problem. is yours, right?

  177. You're the one getting triggered because

  178. usually every time that something

  179. triggers you, and when I say trigger is

  180. something that makes you react out of

  181. proportion to what is taking place,

  182. right? And and and spouses, you probably

  183. know that place, you know, if you're

  184. married, you probably know what what

  185. being triggered is to a different level.

  186. Now, if you got teenage uh children, you

  187. probably know that even in a in in a

  188. deeper way, right? Because there's

  189. things and anytimes I see this type of

  190. pain

  191. pain will come out when you least expect

  192. it. When when I train as a we're doing a

  193. training as a emergency medical response

  194. training and they used to tell us every

  195. time you go to a person that is hurt the

  196. first thing you ask them what hurts and

  197. they will tell you maybe my arm, my leg,

  198. whatever. But then they tell you you

  199. have to go deeper because that person

  200. have been through such trauma that they

  201. may be other areas that are hurt that

  202. they don't even know about it. And what

  203. you do, you're going to pat them down

  204. and you're going to look at your hands

  205. as you're patting down. While you're

  206. doing that, you want to apply some

  207. pressure in some areas to see if you

  208. trigger some pain because that will let

  209. you know there's something wrong that

  210. they don't even knew it was wrong. And

  211. then you're looking for fluids and and

  212. many times as you're touching people,

  213. they say, "Oh, no, just my arm hurts."

  214. But then you touch other say, "Oh, that

  215. hurts too."

  216. Now, it's the same concept in the in the

  217. spiritual and with your emotions. Any

  218. area that your trigger is God touching

  219. that area. He's asking you what you're

  220. feeling right now. And if you pay

  221. attention to those triggers, it will let

  222. you know that there's some pain that you

  223. perhaps haven't dealt with. That behind

  224. that trigger, there's an area that you

  225. haven't dealt with. I was talking to to

  226. a beautiful man of God and and such a

  227. such a phenomenal guy and he tells me,

  228. "I I went to a time of pressure.

  229. Something triggered me and I heard words

  230. out of my mouth that were not scriptures

  231. and I'm concerned." And this is a

  232. phenomenal guy that love the Lord and

  233. and and have the word in his hand. I was

  234. talking to another person. Same deal.

  235. It's like I've been memorizing scripture

  236. all this time, but I was triggered and

  237. this anger scripture did not come.

  238. because that anger came out and I told

  239. them you know that's the funny thing

  240. about fire will destroy a lot of things

  241. but it will purify gold and because your

  242. gold that fire comes in and those

  243. impurities rise up is the purifying

  244. power of God and it's God putting

  245. pressure on those areas and letting you

  246. know a there may be something that you

  247. haven't dealt with there may be some

  248. pain that you're running from the issue

  249. with that I see usually 80% of the cases

  250. I see with addictions and um um bad

  251. cycles of uh irrational or unhealthy

  252. behavior, it comes from undel pain from

  253. areas of pain they did not work through.

  254. And every time that trigger comes is

  255. perfect for us to understand. And I tell

  256. people, don't ask yourself why the

  257. trigger, but why the pain. If you

  258. understand why you're feeling that pain,

  259. that will give you a picture of

  260. something that God wants to deal with.

  261. And part of that vision that God was

  262. showing me about the enemies you see

  263. today you will see no more have to do

  264. with that. It's like God is showing you.

  265. So many of you probably in this season

  266. you have experienced some triggers. And

  267. I just hear the Lord saying don't don't

  268. don't don't don't ask why the trigger.

  269. Ask why the pain? Because deeper than I

  270. want to work with something deeper

  271. inside of you. I want to deal with some

  272. trauma, some pain, some things that are

  273. unresolved because behind that is your

  274. great your greatest place of

  275. breakthrough. And there's a lot of

  276. behaviors we engage if we're not careful

  277. to try to cover the pain. You know, pain

  278. made you ask act very irrational at

  279. times. I remember we went to uh Costa

  280. Rica to do a conference and uh this

  281. young lady, she was a friend of one of

  282. the young ladies on the trip with us and

  283. she say I'm here because uh we asked

  284. her, "What are you doing here in Costa

  285. Rica?" And she said, "Well, I'm just

  286. here to see a witch doctor. Um, we're

  287. going to meet in the jungles and we're

  288. going to take some hallucenic drugs to

  289. have a spiritual encounter. Say, glory

  290. to God.

  291. I see. Wow.

  292. Now, this is a highly educated. She's

  293. college educated, good family, uh, sharp

  294. young lady on her probably 20s. And I

  295. was asking God, what takes somebody so

  296. smart, so intelligent to make some

  297. questionable decisions like that? That's

  298. a a a decision in desperation. And God

  299. told me pain will make you doing

  300. irrational things. Pain will take you to

  301. places where you don't want to go and

  302. will keep you there for longer than what

  303. you want to stay. And and but this

  304. morning, I feel God is going to just not

  305. only highlight some areas of pain in

  306. your life, but he actually is gonna I

  307. love how Sam says what he expose, what

  308. he reveals, he heals. So I do believe

  309. there's going to be a level of exposure

  310. that God is going to bring some areas uh

  311. of your life that there may be some

  312. triggers that there may be some pain and

  313. God is revealing that because in this

  314. season he wants to heal his church in

  315. this season. He's breaking all these

  316. cycle. He's breaking all these things

  317. that are taking us uh to irrational

  318. places that are taking you to to cycles

  319. to to to different things that are

  320. causing you to be stuck in your destiny.

  321. Because what I noticed when you stay in

  322. those cycles,

  323. we become like the people of Israel and

  324. we're going around that mountain over

  325. and over. So close to the promise but

  326. never possessing. Have you ever seen

  327. people like that? So close, all the

  328. anointing, all the potential, all the

  329. capacity walking around their promise

  330. but never possessing because there were

  331. some areas that God wanted to deal with.

  332. Now the pain, the hurting pain is very

  333. effective when we know how to manage it

  334. and when we understand that we need to

  335. go deep. Anytime that you feel pain,

  336. it's not for you to run from it, but

  337. it's for you to face it. The Bible says

  338. through Jesus Christ, we got power to

  339. face anything. And I do believe God

  340. wants to meet you that right there in

  341. the area of pain. John 10:10 says, "The

    John 10:10

  342. thief comes only to steal and kill and

  343. destroy. I have come that that you may

  344. have life and have it to the full.

  345. Matthew 11:28 says, "Come to me all you

    Matthew 11:28

  346. who are weary and burdened. I will give

  347. you rest."

  348. Psalms 147:3 say, "He heals the

    Psalms 147:3

  349. brokenhearted and binds up their

  350. wounds." Isaiah 53:5 says, "But he was

    Isaiah 53:5

  351. pierced for our transgressions. He was

  352. crushed for our iniquities. The

  353. punishment that brought us peace was on

  354. him. And by his wounds, we are healed. I

  355. don't care. Well, I do care, but it

  356. doesn't matter

  357. what you're going through.

  358. The scripture says there's healing and

  359. there's breakthrough for whatever area.

  360. You don't have to be defined by pain.

  361. Pain and hurt and wounds don't have to

  362. define you. You don't have to run from

  363. it through Jesus Christ. You don't have

  364. to find a drug, a medication. You don't

  365. have to find anything to hide from that

  366. pain. Because this is the issue. I I

  367. remember we're working uh we got a

  368. referral for a 12-year-old that was

  369. acting out of school, having terrible

  370. issues, was uh diagnosed with

  371. depression, ADHD, put on medication at

  372. such early age and they say there's

  373. nothing we can do. Let's send it to

  374. North Palm. Glory to God.

  375. We get that all the time, you know, when

  376. everything fails. Well, well, send it to

  377. North Palm. Amen. Not because of normal

  378. but because of Jesus.

  379. >> Do you understand there's power in

  380. Jesus?

  381. >> No. Do you truly understand that? Let's

  382. let's let let you know we we can see

  383. scripture and we can get caught up in

  384. these theological uh debates about God

  385. healed. He don't heal. Was that for the

  386. early church? I love I I asked Pastor

  387. Patricia that one time. I said, "Well,

  388. once they're healed, they will have to

  389. make a decision whether they believe on

  390. healing or not."

  391. So she said she she said, "I'm not going

  392. to engage in those debates. Once you see

  393. the power of God, you're going to have

  394. to figure out is it God heals or not."

  395. Right? And I have seen it, you know,

  396. I've seen how God heals people. I

  397. remember I went to uh we went to

  398. minister to a conference in South Africa

  399. and and this young lady, beautiful young

  400. lady, very smart, very well put

  401. together. Uh they they brought it to the

  402. altar and we're praying for her and I

  403. just felt the overwhelming presence of

  404. God. His love came upon her and started

  405. ministering in her healing to her. um

  406. and and prayed for her for like 30

  407. minutes that night. And and there was a

  408. breaking that took place. There was

  409. something that that broke over her. And

  410. then I I still have a a little handote

  411. that she wrote me and and I keep it

  412. always by my bed. When depression tried

  413. to comes in, when the enemy tries to to

  414. minimize me, I look at my little note.

  415. This young lady say, "I've been

  416. struggling with depression for years."

  417. And and and the grandma told me, grandma

  418. called me and say, "Hey, you don't know

  419. that, but that young lady, she was about

  420. to put in a mental health hospital

  421. because she was having terrible suicidal

  422. thoughts. We don't know what to do with

  423. her." But you know what happened? An

  424. encounter with Jesus, with the presence

  425. of the supernatural love of Jesus came

  426. in that night and the enemies she saw

  427. that day, she see no more. Now she's

  428. working in the worship thing. Now she's

  429. going through conference. Now God is

  430. using in a powerful way. I remember in

  431. another conference uh we travel it was

  432. another nation and a group of us this

  433. young man came in uh Joby was his name

  434. and uh and Joey came in and he he looks

  435. bad though uh he looked rough and and

  436. and he said I want I want prayer but he

  437. it was almost like he wanted prayer for

  438. like his family it's like I was

  439. diagnosed with stage four cancer I'm on

  440. the on the late stages of it and and I

  441. want prayer for strength for my family

  442. as I walk through this and a group of us

  443. we came and we pray and as I'm touching

  444. I'm praying and touching his feet I say

  445. the spirit of the Lord says there is

  446. life coming out at the cellular level I

  447. see life coming out from the from the

  448. inside of your bones out flowing

  449. everywhere

  450. and and and we left that night I haven't

  451. seen Joy you know we left that nation

  452. and and I get it three weeks after I get

  453. this call from this weird number and and

  454. this face he got like it's funny his

  455. profile picture is like his face

  456. amplified

  457. saying Lord Jesus. And

  458. so I took the call and this guy is

  459. trying to catch his breath. He said,

  460. "You know what? I I went to get tested.

  461. I I went to the hospital and I was

  462. feeling so bad they cannot even finish

  463. the testing." Uh and and and the guy

  464. that was next to me told me, "Remember

  465. the words the prophet said.

  466. Remember the life coming out." And he

  467. started declaring that word over and

  468. over and over again. And he got well

  469. enough that they can finish the test.

  470. But when they finish the test, they say,

  471. "Hey, uh, something is wrong. I have to

  472. refer you to another hospital." The test

  473. did not came out right. I say, "Okay,

  474. let's go to the other hospital." He goes

  475. to the other hospital. They do the

  476. testing and they say, "The reason they

  477. send you here is because we know you

  478. have stage four cancer. It's actually

  479. cancer in your blood." And and and we

  480. the first people could not find it. So

  481. they send you to us so we can find it.

  482. But we can find it because the enemies

  483. that you see today, you see no more. Did

  484. you? No. No. No. Do you understand that?

  485. Do you understand that? When God says

  486. it's over, it's over. Who do you think

  487. can stand before God and tell him, "No,

  488. you will bow down to cancer." Cancer

  489. will bow down to Jesus and will confess

  490. that Jesus Christ is Lord. Do you

  491. understand the power of that? I have

  492. seen it. You can tell me all about your

  493. theology, but I have seen it. I have

  494. tasted that God is good.

  495. >> I have seen when God is determined to

  496. bring healing and to bring breakthrough.

  497. I remember these beautiful leaders here

  498. at North Palm one night. They sent me a

  499. text. They were heartbroken. A beautiful

  500. child, amazing child. Went through some

  501. wounding through some hurts emotionally.

  502. Now he's upset with God. He's upset with

  503. the church and send a text to his

  504. parents

  505. how disappointed, how hurt it is, how he

  506. don't believe in God.

  507. And I told him, "Don't worry. If you're

  508. a prodigal and you got praying parents,

  509. you stand no chance.

  510. You stand no chance." I'm not saying

  511. maybe. The word don't say maybe. The

  512. Lord says those who the son set free are

  513. free indeed.

  514. And I said, "Don't worry. God showed me

  515. the presence of God is going to appear

  516. to him directly."

  517. I think it was two weeks after that. He

  518. was freaking out.

  519. See, a light came into my room. It was

  520. Jesus mama.

  521. And this life has been transformed.

  522. >> Now he's like God gave him a career, a

  523. family. He's getting all kind of stuff.

  524. I can tell you testimony after

  525. testimony. Guy is doing phenomenal

  526. because the enemies you see today,

  527. you're not going to see no more. Because

  528. God says, "I watch over my word so it

  529. can be fulfilled. I don't even need your

  530. faithfulness. I faithful all on my own."

  531. Because even when you're unfaithful, I

  532. remain faithful because my promises are

  533. yes and amen. I'm the finisher. But I I

  534. start and finish your faith. I'm the

  535. author, the finisher.

  536. >> Because he said, "I will not be mocked.

  537. >> I will not."

  538. >> Do you understand? Even demons believe

  539. and tremble. Woo.

  540. >> Do you understand even darkness is his

  541. domain?

  542. >> Do you understand that God can encounter

  543. you in your valley?

  544. >> He says, "I'm the lily of your valley

  545. even in your I love this story. The

  546. scripture says that this this king went

  547. to fight this enemy

  548. and they fought them in the mountains

  549. and and the the enemy say they they

  550. fought us in the mountains and they

  551. overcame.

  552. Perhaps their god is the god of the

  553. mountains. Let's fight them in the

  554. valley and then we will see victory. And

  555. I God is so gangster sometimes, you

  556. know. It's like I love it. You know that

  557. he's he's the way he speak.

  558. He sent the prophet and the prophet said

  559. you you let that guy know that I'm the

  560. god of the mountain and I'm the god of

  561. the valley too and in your valley I will

  562. give you victory. So I just speak to

  563. you. You may be on some valley even

  564. friends of gone gone through valley. You

  565. know why? Because there's a different

  566. type of pain. There's a birding pain.

  567. Now that's a fun one. You know the Bible

  568. say I I have never give birth. I haven't

  569. that's nothing I can speak out of my own

  570. personal testimony but I hear it can be

  571. quite challenging. Now I love when

  572. people say you know we're pregnant. Have

  573. you heard that? Like couples say well we

  574. want to let you know we are pregnant.

  575. Say oh you're pregnant too. you know,

  576. like I love that. And that makes sense

  577. because I I remember when when Jennifer

  578. when we got pregnant, uh that was a hard

  579. pregnancy for us.

  580. You know, I know recovery was hard. It

  581. took me 18 years to get rid of the baby

  582. fat.

  583. It's like just now I'm recovering from

  584. that pregnancy. Um but I was reading

  585. they say C-sections are harder to

  586. recover from. So probably that was the

  587. issue. But

  588. but you know and don't laugh man don't

  589. laugh at my struggle

  590. and um

  591. in the in the pushing pain the Bible

  592. says he's looking through every

  593. generation who to make covenant with

  594. he's looking for people that he can

  595. entrust with a dream. You know I never

  596. understood that thing when they said

  597. well children are from God and he let us

  598. borrow it. I said, 'Well, I saw Jennifer

  599. carrying that thing for nine months, you

  600. know, like what that means. But then God

  601. spoke to me and he said, "Yes, but

  602. before she was placed in the womb of her

  603. mother, I knew her. I love her. I

  604. predestined she was mine and I trusted

  605. you to steward it for a season." Do you

  606. know there are dreams in the heart of

  607. God that is entrusting you? Do you know

  608. that every human being on this earth you

  609. were not be you were not placed here by

  610. accident. You are actually God's

  611. masterpiece. You are the only part of

  612. creation that he said I will make it in

  613. my own likeness and image. You will look

  614. like me.

  615. >> Right?

  616. >> So what you're looking at here is a

  617. reflection of God.

  618. >> Amen.

  619. >> That's what I tell my wife.

  620. Say be careful. Don't treat holy thing

  621. as common.

  622. What you're seeing is holy. There's

  623. women throughout the air praying for

  624. half the man of what you got right here

  625. crying out, bowling before the Lord. And

  626. you got it right in front of you. Don't

  627. miss the time of your visitation.

  628. Say, "Shut up and go to sleep."

  629. Yeah. I was talking about pain. And I

  630. say I I was practicing my message with

  631. her about pain in the car and and I will

  632. go to the pain that form us and and she

  633. say yeah you are my pain that is forming

  634. me.

  635. I said, "That's what I hear, baby. I'm

  636. just a vessel. That's what I do."

  637. But there's a there's a pain of

  638. burdening things. And if you're not

  639. careful, you can mistake this pain as

  640. something negative. And it's the natural

  641. process of you conquering what God place

  642. in your heart to do because there's

  643. something the Bible says God is not

  644. against the old wine. The Bible says

  645. when he turn a water into wine, he make

  646. it taste like old wine. He's against the

  647. old wine scheme because the old wine

  648. skin have lost the ability to stretch

  649. and part of birding something. It

  650. requires stretching right now. Uh we're

  651. birding a lot of things. I'm so excited.

  652. We got uh North Palm Orange, North Palm

  653. Myrtle Beach, North Palm Mons Corner.

  654. We're seeing all that and these churches

  655. are looking beautiful. You have to go

  656. online. They're looking we're remodeling

  657. all those things. But many of us are

  658. being stretched in the process, right?

  659. Finances get stretched. your faith gets

  660. stretched to another level. Just you

  661. have to believe at a higher level. Your

  662. faith is tested, you know, and then the

  663. burden, the pain of burdening something

  664. is a stretching. It's a sifting. It's a

  665. pruning that takes place for you to be

  666. able to handle what God is going to

  667. deposit in your life. There's a testing

  668. that takes place. And there's a pain

  669. that many of you are experiencing that

  670. is not a pain to harm you. It's a pain

  671. to grow you. It's a pain to develop you.

  672. The Bible says you must be like an olive

  673. crush. that you must be like a grape

  674. that that they crush that grape so that

  675. the true essence of who you are comes

  676. out that in that sifting God removes

  677. anything that he cannot use and that is

  678. painful when God start removing things

  679. he remove relationships

  680. sometimes he dry up certain brooks

  681. sometimes he touch finances sometimes he

  682. touch things that you place your trust

  683. in because he said no at the level that

  684. I'm taking you unless you're grounded on

  685. the rock you're not going to survive

  686. because the level of the storms that you

  687. face if you build upon the sand your

  688. hand your house will collapse but if you

  689. build upon the rock he say upon this

  690. rock I will build my church and the

  691. gates of hell would not prevail against

  692. it so in that burden pain what he's

  693. doing he's giving you the strength to

  694. push through he's giving you the faith

  695. to do it because the Bible says that

  696. that's all you need

  697. friends of God often find themselves

  698. being asked something that they cannot

  699. produce

  700. The Lord looks at the Virgin Mary and

  701. say, "I have chosen you." The angel

  702. comes and say, "You will give birth to a

  703. child. It's going to be the Messiah.

  704. Glory to God." Now, note to self, I

  705. don't have a husband and a virgin. I

  706. cannot produce this within myself.

  707. But I'm but but I come in agreement with

  708. faith. Same thing with Abraham. You will

  709. be a father of a nation. The man cannot

  710. even have a child. One.

  711. He said, "Peter, come walk over water."

  712. Now, it was not an issue of the heart.

  713. Peter wanted to walk over the water.

  714. Peter knew how to walk that we know. So

  715. it was not a matter of skills but the

  716. ecosystem was not conducive to it. The

  717. the connection the molecular connections

  718. with H2O that were not strong enough to

  719. withhold the weight of a man. But

  720. something happens when your faith comes

  721. in that process of burdening. Your faith

  722. is stretched to such levels that it

  723. comes in agreement with the supernatural

  724. dunamis power of God that comes attached

  725. with his word and enable you to do

  726. things that you could not do on your

  727. own. He gives you skills that you don't

  728. have. He gives you strength that you

  729. don't have. Even the ecosystem that

  730. could not sustain you before, now we can

  731. because the Lord commenced it to. When

  732. you say yes to God and when that faith

  733. comes to those levels, you can conquer

  734. things that you could not conquer

  735. before. And you know that because you

  736. look back at stuff that shook you two

  737. years ago and you laugh at them

  738. >> because it was a stretching. You endured

  739. that pain. Now the third pain that I

  740. want to talk to is that the pain the

  741. healing pain. And this is very important

  742. because a lot of people mistake this

  743. pain with wounding pain.

  744. You know there's a pain that comes in

  745. when God is healing something in your

  746. life.

  747. I I I remember going through uh we we

  748. just did a a mission trip to Costa Rica

  749. and working with children with

  750. disabilities and many of these kids have

  751. deformities because there were things

  752. they lack growing up very muscles,

  753. certain joints, certain bones, certain

  754. things they lack and because they lack

  755. that now they have to make up for it,

  756. right? They have to come up with a way

  757. to cope with what they lack. And and in

  758. coping it created some deformities

  759. and now the doctors have to come in do

  760. certain stretches, do certain exercises

  761. with them that are painful but are there

  762. to heal them. Sometimes he they even

  763. have to put some braces to keep certain

  764. parts of the body in a certain position

  765. so healing can take place.

  766. And a lot of times the parents will come

  767. back and say, "I don't want to put it on

  768. because it hurts him. I don't like to

  769. see my child cry." But the doctor say,

  770. "If we don't do this now, he will be

  771. marked for life. If we don't do this

  772. now, it can make the difference between

  773. this child walking or not walking the

  774. rest of their life. This is not a pain

  775. to hurt you. This is a pain to heal

  776. you." And there's a lot of people in the

  777. church right now especially that run

  778. from this pain that God says, "Baby, I

  779. don't want to hurt you. I love you. You

  780. are the apple of my eyes. But there's

  781. some things you lack growing up. There's

  782. maybe you you you lack parents or or

  783. love or affirmation or or there's trauma

  784. that came in. There were things that

  785. were stolen from you that caused for you

  786. to make up. And in making that up, in

  787. coping with that, you develop some

  788. deformities in the spirit, some

  789. emotional deformities. And now I have to

  790. come and put a brace on it. And I have

  791. to show you it will hurt. And a lot of

  792. times I see this in church when when as

  793. a pastor I try to come in and put those

  794. braces in people. I tell you, we love

  795. you and we will walk with you through

  796. hell. We will get you through this.

  797. We're not offended by your struggle.

  798. We're not offended by what you're

  799. walking through. We will walk as a

  800. pastor. I will walk with you. I will go

  801. through hell with you. And we will get

  802. rid of this perversion. We will get rid

  803. of this addiction. We will whatever it

  804. is. I'm here for you. That's my covenant

  805. to you. But I need to put this brace on

  806. you.

  807. I need to we need to bring some healing.

  808. There's some things that God is going to

  809. touch, that he's going to amputate, that

  810. he's going to remove, that he's going to

  811. touch in the process of healing.

  812. And you know what many people do?

  813. They don't like that pain. And it made

  814. me wonder if a lot of what people are

  815. confusing

  816. with church hurt is actually healing

  817. pain of a leader that came in and tried

  818. to heal an area of their life. And

  819. because they feel legitimate pain, I'm

  820. not negating that there's legitimate

  821. pain in the process, but that process

  822. was not there to hurt them, but to heal

  823. them. And in the process of doing that,

  824. they're running to the next place

  825. because they're running from that pain.

  826. And God is saying there are braces that

  827. I place in your life. There's people

  828. sometimes God will put people situations

  829. that serve as a brace. I remember there

  830. are jobs that God have given me that

  831. this is a brace right and say this

  832. sucks. I don't like it. I want to quit.

  833. But the Lord says no I'm forming

  834. something in you. I'm healing something

  835. in you. There were relationships to me

  836. that there were a brace that God says no

  837. you need that relationship. He hurts you

  838. right now but it's for your good. is

  839. good medicine. It's like sometimes in

  840. order to get better, you have to hurt a

  841. little bit.

  842. And as we come to a closing, there may

  843. be some areas as as we were speaking

  844. that God was showing you, I do believe

  845. in the other side of pain, you're coming

  846. to your season of breakthrough. You're

  847. coming through your season of healing.

  848. And I hear the spirit of the Lord

  849. saying, "Don't run. Don't run. Don't run

  850. from it. I'm here with you. I will stand

  851. with you on your pain. Let's look at

  852. that pain together and I will show you.

  853. I will give you new perspective. Maybe

  854. what you perceive a damaging pain, it

  855. was the Lord healing some areas of your

  856. life and he say, "Hey, just let me

  857. finish the process. Let me finish. I'm

  858. not offended. I'm not upset with you.

  859. But I need to heal this in you because

  860. at the level I want to take you, you

  861. can't you can't carry this. You can't

  862. carry this wound anymore. It will be an

  863. open door. It's for your own good."

  864. There may be pain in your life that

  865. today you say you know what nothing

  866. wrong actually he has been favored that

  867. is producing that pain in your life

  868. because it's a burden pain is God

  869. entrusting you with something he wants

  870. to birth through you and he's saying hey

  871. I know it hurts I know it has been hard

  872. on you but can you endure pushing my

  873. vision pushing my dream pushing what I

  874. want to do here on the earth and some of

  875. you may be dealing with actual hurting

  876. pain and the Lord says don't run from

  877. You and I, let's go to that dark place.

  878. Allow me in in that place of pain. Allow

  879. me to bring healing. Allow me to bring

  880. forgiveness. Allow me to bring

  881. restoration.

  882. And out of that place of hurt, I'm going

  883. to take you to a place of power. Because

  884. whatever you conquer in the spirit, now

  885. you have authority over it. And the Lord

  886. have this majestic thing that he does.

  887. He gave you the weapons. He gives you

  888. the weapons of your enemy so you can

  889. fight against him.

  890. Maybe the Lord today wants to give you

  891. the sword of Goliath.

  892. And as you pursue that healing, that

  893. restoration, that power, God is going to

  894. entrust you with authority over the very

  895. area that the enemy tried to use to kill

  896. you. Amen. Now, there may be some people

  897. here that

  898. you may not know the Lord. You may not

  899. have that opportunity to have that

  900. encounter. I remember when I when I

  901. first came to Christ, I had a lot of

  902. pain. I got a lot of hurt. was very

  903. upset and I came in a way of challenging

  904. God. Say, "God, I want to see you. I did

  905. not have the right attitude. I don't

  906. even know what they preached that day,

  907. but I gave my life to the Lord." Some

  908. people claim I was under the influence.

  909. Uh that's debatable.

  910. It was some heavy drinking the night

  911. before, but

  912. and and and the reason I say that is

  913. because it doesn't matter. It doesn't

  914. matter where you are right now. God will

  915. meet you there. And I do believe in my

  916. case it's not I feel sincerely my

  917. calling is I will raise this fool so

  918. that people can say that he can use

  919. anything right said well he did it with

  920. Alex so he can do it with me. That's my

  921. calling. I'm here for you.

  922. And I came in that place

  923. and he started with that prayer.

  924. I say, "Jesus, I surrender my pain. I'm

  925. tired to run from it. Like Noah, like

  926. Jonah, I've been running from your pain.

  927. And now I'm in the belly of the fish in

  928. a place of debt. Can you come in? I

  929. don't know you. I don't know theology. I

  930. don't know all these things. I heard

  931. about you. Can you come in my heart? I

  932. don't even know how to fix this mess."

  933. And that morning the spirit of the Lord

  934. came and he started that process and he

  935. started breaking things. And I remember

  936. people told me like no this is the way

  937. it is. Even doctors and specialists say

  938. no your brain don't produce this kind of

  939. stuff. You're broken. The best things

  940. that we can do is to medicate you. Try

  941. to make you manage the best you can but

  942. you will never be normal. In rehab they

  943. told me you will always be an addict.

  944. You have to make peace with that fact.

  945. But something inside of me cuz I got

  946. that praying mama and she was wild and

  947. she have irrational faith

  948. and I have people in my life that came

  949. in and said, "You're going to be a man

  950. of God." And I laughed. I said, "Man,

  951. you're on heavier drugs than I."

  952. And I shared this to say, "I don't know

  953. where you are right now." And I will

  954. never minimize your pain, but I will not

  955. let your pain and my sympathy for it get

  956. on the way of your healing.

  957. >> Jesus have the power to change your life

  958. forever.
