I'm excited.
-
Today I'm going to be talking about uh a
-
message titled on the other side of
-
pain. I I do feel that God wants to
-
rewire the way we see pain and we see
-
hurt. I do feel that there's a lot of
-
misconceptions that sometimes keep the
-
people of God and people bounded uh to
-
bitterness, to hurt, to trauma. But I
-
just feel this there's an anointing this
-
morning and I do feel that there's going
-
to be some breakthrough. The stuff that
-
you carry that you came in with this
-
morning, you're going to look back and
-
it's not going to be there. Amen.
-
>> You know, God gave me this dream. It was
-
a kind of a weird dream and a vision.
-
And in that dream and a vision, I saw
-
myself with the people of Israel and
-
they were right uh right about to cross
-
the Red Sea. And and I have read that
-
scripture many times. But this time I
-
felt the terror. I felt the pain. I felt
-
uh the pressure of that moment for
-
Israel. They have a whole army chasing
-
them. You got no weapons. You got no
-
training. This is the army that have
-
oppressed you for 400 years
-
generationally.
-
And they are getting closer and closer
-
and closer. And I'm looking around and I
-
see my wife, I see my daughter. And the
-
thought came in, we may die today. And I
-
felt that pressure of that moment. And
-
then I looked to the front. I saw the
-
Red Sea opening. I saw us walking. And
-
then I looked back and the enemy was
-
there no more.
-
The scripture says the enemies you see
-
today, you will see no more. I do
-
believe there's stuff that have been
-
chasing you. Not just you, just
-
generationally. Stuff that have plagued
-
even your family, even generations after
-
you. sickness, bitterness, pain, hurt,
-
trauma, bondage, cycles that have come
-
to your life that this is the season.
-
This is a season of crazy revival and
-
power. I do believe many of you will
-
look back and you will not find it. You
-
will look back at depression. You will
-
look back at hurt. You will look back at
-
trauma. You will look uh back at
-
suicidal thoughts. You will look back at
-
whatever was uh harassing you and
-
harassing generations before you. And
-
you're not going to find it. You're
-
going to look back at poverty and it's
-
not going to be there. You're going to
-
look back at those cycles and they're
-
going to be gone. I remember a time like
-
that. Uh I think I shared this before. I
-
went to a conference and I was so upset
-
and and God, you know, you're probably
-
more spiritual than me. Uh but but
-
sometimes I get upset with God and and
-
he's quick to answer back. Um we got our
-
moments and and we're at this conference
-
all my all my friends are getting rocked
-
are getting you know like when you go to
-
a place everybody's receiving but you
-
you know you're sitting there and I was
-
I say God I don't feel a thing and uh
-
and I remember this powerful man of God
-
was laying hands on people everybody
-
being slain and I was like number 20 in
-
the line and I say I have never been
-
slain in the spirit so I say well maybe
-
what what I I will go to try to go back
-
and maybe on the way God sees my fade
-
and catch me. Um, that was not the case.
-
Not this time. Uh, so I'm sitting there
-
looking up. I said, "Man, what do I do
-
now?" You know, I was just thinking I
-
have to stand up and look anointed or
-
something because
-
So I'm like, "Ah,
-
you know,
-
and on the the trip back home, I was
-
upset with God. I was fighting with
-
God." Did that ever happen to you? Have
-
you ever been in seasons that you're
-
upset with God? There's you're you're
-
you're upset because there's this place
-
between promise and where you are.
-
There's this gap that if you're not
-
careful can be a breeding ground for
-
offense for pain. Many even friends of
-
God go through that place. You know,
-
Abraham is having a conversation with
-
his father. Now, now Abraham is a friend
-
of God. Abraham knows God. You know, the
-
Bible says that angels will come and
-
have lunch with him. Read that. That's
-
phenomenal. And that's the level of
-
relationship this guy have with God. And
-
now God is telling him, "I'm going to
-
bless you so much." And and and the
-
feedback that he get from Abraham was
-
was he was upset. He was mad. Said, "Why
-
are you going to give me all that stuff?
-
I don't even have a child to give it to.
-
That stuff will be inherited by my
-
servants." Because it was an area of
-
pain in his heart. Because a lot of
-
times in your walk, you will encounter
-
pain. Make no mistake, life have a way
-
to to bring things to you. But I dare to
-
say that pain is not there for your
-
destruction. The scripture says in the
-
other side of pain, there's your highest
-
levels of breakthrough, your highest
-
level of healings and encounters with
-
God. So we have to and not not not not
-
just see it for what it is but we need
-
to understand the dynamics of pain and
-
how we deal with it how we see pain
-
because at the other side God have for
-
you your greatest level of breakthrough
-
encounters and healing that you have
-
ever seen in your life. Amen.
-
>> So Abraham is sitting there and God have
-
to pull him out because there's a part
-
of his process the promise have produced
-
some pain. So as as we are understanding
-
pain we need to understand there are
-
different types of pain you know and
-
this morning I'm going to I'm going to
-
try to cover three types of pain and
-
it's the the pain that wounds you the
-
hurting pain uh is a brain that brings
-
damage uh the pain of birthing something
-
the burden pain of of grow pains and the
-
pain of healing. uh if we can understand
-
these three basics uh types of pain and
-
how we handle it, you can make pain one
-
of the most productive places in your
-
life. Amen.
-
>> And the first type of pain I want to
-
talk about is the the pain of the the
-
wounding pain, hurting pain. And and and
-
I encounter this a lot especially in in
-
pastoral counseling in my other line of
-
work dealing with uh children and risky
-
behaviors in the school system. Uh I
-
always see see pain everywhere I go and
-
I see two groups of people. I see the
-
people that knows how to deal with that
-
pain in effective ways and that that
-
pain becomes not only a blessing to them
-
and not only an opportunity for
-
encounter but an opportunity for growth
-
and formation that set them up for their
-
destiny. And I see the other group that
-
tries to hide from the pain, roam from
-
the pain, medicate the pain, entertain
-
the pain. But pain is funny because you
-
have a way to come out. And he always
-
have a way to come out when you least
-
expected it. Have you encountered that?
-
Have you ever been triggered?
-
I hear that word a lot. This generation
-
love that word trigger, right? They
-
trigger me.
-
Well, if they're triggering you, it's
-
not their problem. is yours, right?
-
You're the one getting triggered because
-
usually every time that something
-
triggers you, and when I say trigger is
-
something that makes you react out of
-
proportion to what is taking place,
-
right? And and and spouses, you probably
-
know that place, you know, if you're
-
married, you probably know what what
-
being triggered is to a different level.
-
Now, if you got teenage uh children, you
-
probably know that even in a in in a
-
deeper way, right? Because there's
-
things and anytimes I see this type of
-
pain
-
pain will come out when you least expect
-
it. When when I train as a we're doing a
-
training as a emergency medical response
-
training and they used to tell us every
-
time you go to a person that is hurt the
-
first thing you ask them what hurts and
-
they will tell you maybe my arm, my leg,
-
whatever. But then they tell you you
-
have to go deeper because that person
-
have been through such trauma that they
-
may be other areas that are hurt that
-
they don't even know about it. And what
-
you do, you're going to pat them down
-
and you're going to look at your hands
-
as you're patting down. While you're
-
doing that, you want to apply some
-
pressure in some areas to see if you
-
trigger some pain because that will let
-
you know there's something wrong that
-
they don't even knew it was wrong. And
-
then you're looking for fluids and and
-
many times as you're touching people,
-
they say, "Oh, no, just my arm hurts."
-
But then you touch other say, "Oh, that
-
hurts too."
-
Now, it's the same concept in the in the
-
spiritual and with your emotions. Any
-
area that your trigger is God touching
-
that area. He's asking you what you're
-
feeling right now. And if you pay
-
attention to those triggers, it will let
-
you know that there's some pain that you
-
perhaps haven't dealt with. That behind
-
that trigger, there's an area that you
-
haven't dealt with. I was talking to to
-
a beautiful man of God and and such a
-
such a phenomenal guy and he tells me,
-
"I I went to a time of pressure.
-
Something triggered me and I heard words
-
out of my mouth that were not scriptures
-
and I'm concerned." And this is a
-
phenomenal guy that love the Lord and
-
and and have the word in his hand. I was
-
talking to another person. Same deal.
-
It's like I've been memorizing scripture
-
all this time, but I was triggered and
-
this anger scripture did not come.
-
because that anger came out and I told
-
them you know that's the funny thing
-
about fire will destroy a lot of things
-
but it will purify gold and because your
-
gold that fire comes in and those
-
impurities rise up is the purifying
-
power of God and it's God putting
-
pressure on those areas and letting you
-
know a there may be something that you
-
haven't dealt with there may be some
-
pain that you're running from the issue
-
with that I see usually 80% of the cases
-
I see with addictions and um um bad
-
cycles of uh irrational or unhealthy
-
behavior, it comes from undel pain from
-
areas of pain they did not work through.
-
And every time that trigger comes is
-
perfect for us to understand. And I tell
-
people, don't ask yourself why the
-
trigger, but why the pain. If you
-
understand why you're feeling that pain,
-
that will give you a picture of
-
something that God wants to deal with.
-
And part of that vision that God was
-
showing me about the enemies you see
-
today you will see no more have to do
-
with that. It's like God is showing you.
-
So many of you probably in this season
-
you have experienced some triggers. And
-
I just hear the Lord saying don't don't
-
don't don't don't ask why the trigger.
-
Ask why the pain? Because deeper than I
-
want to work with something deeper
-
inside of you. I want to deal with some
-
trauma, some pain, some things that are
-
unresolved because behind that is your
-
great your greatest place of
-
breakthrough. And there's a lot of
-
behaviors we engage if we're not careful
-
to try to cover the pain. You know, pain
-
made you ask act very irrational at
-
times. I remember we went to uh Costa
-
Rica to do a conference and uh this
-
young lady, she was a friend of one of
-
the young ladies on the trip with us and
-
she say I'm here because uh we asked
-
her, "What are you doing here in Costa
-
Rica?" And she said, "Well, I'm just
-
here to see a witch doctor. Um, we're
-
going to meet in the jungles and we're
-
going to take some hallucenic drugs to
-
have a spiritual encounter. Say, glory
-
to God.
-
I see. Wow.
-
Now, this is a highly educated. She's
-
college educated, good family, uh, sharp
-
young lady on her probably 20s. And I
-
was asking God, what takes somebody so
-
smart, so intelligent to make some
-
questionable decisions like that? That's
-
a a a decision in desperation. And God
-
told me pain will make you doing
-
irrational things. Pain will take you to
-
places where you don't want to go and
-
will keep you there for longer than what
-
you want to stay. And and but this
-
morning, I feel God is going to just not
-
only highlight some areas of pain in
-
your life, but he actually is gonna I
-
love how Sam says what he expose, what
-
he reveals, he heals. So I do believe
-
there's going to be a level of exposure
-
that God is going to bring some areas uh
-
of your life that there may be some
-
triggers that there may be some pain and
-
God is revealing that because in this
-
season he wants to heal his church in
-
this season. He's breaking all these
-
cycle. He's breaking all these things
-
that are taking us uh to irrational
-
places that are taking you to to cycles
-
to to to different things that are
-
causing you to be stuck in your destiny.
-
Because what I noticed when you stay in
-
those cycles,
-
we become like the people of Israel and
-
we're going around that mountain over
-
and over. So close to the promise but
-
never possessing. Have you ever seen
-
people like that? So close, all the
-
anointing, all the potential, all the
-
capacity walking around their promise
-
but never possessing because there were
-
some areas that God wanted to deal with.
-
Now the pain, the hurting pain is very
-
effective when we know how to manage it
-
and when we understand that we need to
-
go deep. Anytime that you feel pain,
-
it's not for you to run from it, but
-
it's for you to face it. The Bible says
-
through Jesus Christ, we got power to
-
face anything. And I do believe God
-
wants to meet you that right there in
-
the area of pain. John 10:10 says, "The
-
thief comes only to steal and kill and
-
destroy. I have come that that you may
-
have life and have it to the full.
-
Matthew 11:28 says, "Come to me all you
-
who are weary and burdened. I will give
-
you rest."
-
Psalms 147:3 say, "He heals the
-
brokenhearted and binds up their
-
wounds." Isaiah 53:5 says, "But he was
-
pierced for our transgressions. He was
-
crushed for our iniquities. The
-
punishment that brought us peace was on
-
him. And by his wounds, we are healed. I
-
don't care. Well, I do care, but it
-
doesn't matter
-
what you're going through.
-
The scripture says there's healing and
-
there's breakthrough for whatever area.
-
You don't have to be defined by pain.
-
Pain and hurt and wounds don't have to
-
define you. You don't have to run from
-
it through Jesus Christ. You don't have
-
to find a drug, a medication. You don't
-
have to find anything to hide from that
-
pain. Because this is the issue. I I
-
remember we're working uh we got a
-
referral for a 12-year-old that was
-
acting out of school, having terrible
-
issues, was uh diagnosed with
-
depression, ADHD, put on medication at
-
such early age and they say there's
-
nothing we can do. Let's send it to
-
North Palm. Glory to God.
-
We get that all the time, you know, when
-
everything fails. Well, well, send it to
-
North Palm. Amen. Not because of normal
-
but because of Jesus.
-
>> Do you understand there's power in
-
Jesus?
-
>> No. Do you truly understand that? Let's
-
let's let let you know we we can see
-
scripture and we can get caught up in
-
these theological uh debates about God
-
healed. He don't heal. Was that for the
-
early church? I love I I asked Pastor
-
Patricia that one time. I said, "Well,
-
once they're healed, they will have to
-
make a decision whether they believe on
-
healing or not."
-
So she said she she said, "I'm not going
-
to engage in those debates. Once you see
-
the power of God, you're going to have
-
to figure out is it God heals or not."
-
Right? And I have seen it, you know,
-
I've seen how God heals people. I
-
remember I went to uh we went to
-
minister to a conference in South Africa
-
and and this young lady, beautiful young
-
lady, very smart, very well put
-
together. Uh they they brought it to the
-
altar and we're praying for her and I
-
just felt the overwhelming presence of
-
God. His love came upon her and started
-
ministering in her healing to her. um
-
and and prayed for her for like 30
-
minutes that night. And and there was a
-
breaking that took place. There was
-
something that that broke over her. And
-
then I I still have a a little handote
-
that she wrote me and and I keep it
-
always by my bed. When depression tried
-
to comes in, when the enemy tries to to
-
minimize me, I look at my little note.
-
This young lady say, "I've been
-
struggling with depression for years."
-
And and and the grandma told me, grandma
-
called me and say, "Hey, you don't know
-
that, but that young lady, she was about
-
to put in a mental health hospital
-
because she was having terrible suicidal
-
thoughts. We don't know what to do with
-
her." But you know what happened? An
-
encounter with Jesus, with the presence
-
of the supernatural love of Jesus came
-
in that night and the enemies she saw
-
that day, she see no more. Now she's
-
working in the worship thing. Now she's
-
going through conference. Now God is
-
using in a powerful way. I remember in
-
another conference uh we travel it was
-
another nation and a group of us this
-
young man came in uh Joby was his name
-
and uh and Joey came in and he he looks
-
bad though uh he looked rough and and
-
and he said I want I want prayer but he
-
it was almost like he wanted prayer for
-
like his family it's like I was
-
diagnosed with stage four cancer I'm on
-
the on the late stages of it and and I
-
want prayer for strength for my family
-
as I walk through this and a group of us
-
we came and we pray and as I'm touching
-
I'm praying and touching his feet I say
-
the spirit of the Lord says there is
-
life coming out at the cellular level I
-
see life coming out from the from the
-
inside of your bones out flowing
-
everywhere
-
and and and we left that night I haven't
-
seen Joy you know we left that nation
-
and and I get it three weeks after I get
-
this call from this weird number and and
-
this face he got like it's funny his
-
profile picture is like his face
-
amplified
-
saying Lord Jesus. And
-
so I took the call and this guy is
-
trying to catch his breath. He said,
-
"You know what? I I went to get tested.
-
I I went to the hospital and I was
-
feeling so bad they cannot even finish
-
the testing." Uh and and and the guy
-
that was next to me told me, "Remember
-
the words the prophet said.
-
Remember the life coming out." And he
-
started declaring that word over and
-
over and over again. And he got well
-
enough that they can finish the test.
-
But when they finish the test, they say,
-
"Hey, uh, something is wrong. I have to
-
refer you to another hospital." The test
-
did not came out right. I say, "Okay,
-
let's go to the other hospital." He goes
-
to the other hospital. They do the
-
testing and they say, "The reason they
-
send you here is because we know you
-
have stage four cancer. It's actually
-
cancer in your blood." And and and we
-
the first people could not find it. So
-
they send you to us so we can find it.
-
But we can find it because the enemies
-
that you see today, you see no more. Did
-
you? No. No. No. Do you understand that?
-
Do you understand that? When God says
-
it's over, it's over. Who do you think
-
can stand before God and tell him, "No,
-
you will bow down to cancer." Cancer
-
will bow down to Jesus and will confess
-
that Jesus Christ is Lord. Do you
-
understand the power of that? I have
-
seen it. You can tell me all about your
-
theology, but I have seen it. I have
-
tasted that God is good.
-
>> I have seen when God is determined to
-
bring healing and to bring breakthrough.
-
I remember these beautiful leaders here
-
at North Palm one night. They sent me a
-
text. They were heartbroken. A beautiful
-
child, amazing child. Went through some
-
wounding through some hurts emotionally.
-
Now he's upset with God. He's upset with
-
the church and send a text to his
-
parents
-
how disappointed, how hurt it is, how he
-
don't believe in God.
-
And I told him, "Don't worry. If you're
-
a prodigal and you got praying parents,
-
you stand no chance.
-
You stand no chance." I'm not saying
-
maybe. The word don't say maybe. The
-
Lord says those who the son set free are
-
free indeed.
-
And I said, "Don't worry. God showed me
-
the presence of God is going to appear
-
to him directly."
-
I think it was two weeks after that. He
-
was freaking out.
-
See, a light came into my room. It was
-
Jesus mama.
-
And this life has been transformed.
-
>> Now he's like God gave him a career, a
-
family. He's getting all kind of stuff.
-
I can tell you testimony after
-
testimony. Guy is doing phenomenal
-
because the enemies you see today,
-
you're not going to see no more. Because
-
God says, "I watch over my word so it
-
can be fulfilled. I don't even need your
-
faithfulness. I faithful all on my own."
-
Because even when you're unfaithful, I
-
remain faithful because my promises are
-
yes and amen. I'm the finisher. But I I
-
start and finish your faith. I'm the
-
author, the finisher.
-
>> Because he said, "I will not be mocked.
-
>> I will not."
-
>> Do you understand? Even demons believe
-
and tremble. Woo.
-
>> Do you understand even darkness is his
-
domain?
-
>> Do you understand that God can encounter
-
you in your valley?
-
>> He says, "I'm the lily of your valley
-
even in your I love this story. The
-
scripture says that this this king went
-
to fight this enemy
-
and they fought them in the mountains
-
and and the the enemy say they they
-
fought us in the mountains and they
-
overcame.
-
Perhaps their god is the god of the
-
mountains. Let's fight them in the
-
valley and then we will see victory. And
-
I God is so gangster sometimes, you
-
know. It's like I love it. You know that
-
he's he's the way he speak.
-
He sent the prophet and the prophet said
-
you you let that guy know that I'm the
-
god of the mountain and I'm the god of
-
the valley too and in your valley I will
-
give you victory. So I just speak to
-
you. You may be on some valley even
-
friends of gone gone through valley. You
-
know why? Because there's a different
-
type of pain. There's a birding pain.
-
Now that's a fun one. You know the Bible
-
say I I have never give birth. I haven't
-
that's nothing I can speak out of my own
-
personal testimony but I hear it can be
-
quite challenging. Now I love when
-
people say you know we're pregnant. Have
-
you heard that? Like couples say well we
-
want to let you know we are pregnant.
-
Say oh you're pregnant too. you know,
-
like I love that. And that makes sense
-
because I I remember when when Jennifer
-
when we got pregnant, uh that was a hard
-
pregnancy for us.
-
You know, I know recovery was hard. It
-
took me 18 years to get rid of the baby
-
fat.
-
It's like just now I'm recovering from
-
that pregnancy. Um but I was reading
-
they say C-sections are harder to
-
recover from. So probably that was the
-
issue. But
-
but you know and don't laugh man don't
-
laugh at my struggle
-
and um
-
in the in the pushing pain the Bible
-
says he's looking through every
-
generation who to make covenant with
-
he's looking for people that he can
-
entrust with a dream. You know I never
-
understood that thing when they said
-
well children are from God and he let us
-
borrow it. I said, 'Well, I saw Jennifer
-
carrying that thing for nine months, you
-
know, like what that means. But then God
-
spoke to me and he said, "Yes, but
-
before she was placed in the womb of her
-
mother, I knew her. I love her. I
-
predestined she was mine and I trusted
-
you to steward it for a season." Do you
-
know there are dreams in the heart of
-
God that is entrusting you? Do you know
-
that every human being on this earth you
-
were not be you were not placed here by
-
accident. You are actually God's
-
masterpiece. You are the only part of
-
creation that he said I will make it in
-
my own likeness and image. You will look
-
like me.
-
>> Right?
-
>> So what you're looking at here is a
-
reflection of God.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> That's what I tell my wife.
-
Say be careful. Don't treat holy thing
-
as common.
-
What you're seeing is holy. There's
-
women throughout the air praying for
-
half the man of what you got right here
-
crying out, bowling before the Lord. And
-
you got it right in front of you. Don't
-
miss the time of your visitation.
-
Say, "Shut up and go to sleep."
-
Yeah. I was talking about pain. And I
-
say I I was practicing my message with
-
her about pain in the car and and I will
-
go to the pain that form us and and she
-
say yeah you are my pain that is forming
-
me.
-
I said, "That's what I hear, baby. I'm
-
just a vessel. That's what I do."
-
But there's a there's a pain of
-
burdening things. And if you're not
-
careful, you can mistake this pain as
-
something negative. And it's the natural
-
process of you conquering what God place
-
in your heart to do because there's
-
something the Bible says God is not
-
against the old wine. The Bible says
-
when he turn a water into wine, he make
-
it taste like old wine. He's against the
-
old wine scheme because the old wine
-
skin have lost the ability to stretch
-
and part of birding something. It
-
requires stretching right now. Uh we're
-
birding a lot of things. I'm so excited.
-
We got uh North Palm Orange, North Palm
-
Myrtle Beach, North Palm Mons Corner.
-
We're seeing all that and these churches
-
are looking beautiful. You have to go
-
online. They're looking we're remodeling
-
all those things. But many of us are
-
being stretched in the process, right?
-
Finances get stretched. your faith gets
-
stretched to another level. Just you
-
have to believe at a higher level. Your
-
faith is tested, you know, and then the
-
burden, the pain of burdening something
-
is a stretching. It's a sifting. It's a
-
pruning that takes place for you to be
-
able to handle what God is going to
-
deposit in your life. There's a testing
-
that takes place. And there's a pain
-
that many of you are experiencing that
-
is not a pain to harm you. It's a pain
-
to grow you. It's a pain to develop you.
-
The Bible says you must be like an olive
-
crush. that you must be like a grape
-
that that they crush that grape so that
-
the true essence of who you are comes
-
out that in that sifting God removes
-
anything that he cannot use and that is
-
painful when God start removing things
-
he remove relationships
-
sometimes he dry up certain brooks
-
sometimes he touch finances sometimes he
-
touch things that you place your trust
-
in because he said no at the level that
-
I'm taking you unless you're grounded on
-
the rock you're not going to survive
-
because the level of the storms that you
-
face if you build upon the sand your
-
hand your house will collapse but if you
-
build upon the rock he say upon this
-
rock I will build my church and the
-
gates of hell would not prevail against
-
it so in that burden pain what he's
-
doing he's giving you the strength to
-
push through he's giving you the faith
-
to do it because the Bible says that
-
that's all you need
-
friends of God often find themselves
-
being asked something that they cannot
-
produce
-
The Lord looks at the Virgin Mary and
-
say, "I have chosen you." The angel
-
comes and say, "You will give birth to a
-
child. It's going to be the Messiah.
-
Glory to God." Now, note to self, I
-
don't have a husband and a virgin. I
-
cannot produce this within myself.
-
But I'm but but I come in agreement with
-
faith. Same thing with Abraham. You will
-
be a father of a nation. The man cannot
-
even have a child. One.
-
He said, "Peter, come walk over water."
-
Now, it was not an issue of the heart.
-
Peter wanted to walk over the water.
-
Peter knew how to walk that we know. So
-
it was not a matter of skills but the
-
ecosystem was not conducive to it. The
-
the connection the molecular connections
-
with H2O that were not strong enough to
-
withhold the weight of a man. But
-
something happens when your faith comes
-
in that process of burdening. Your faith
-
is stretched to such levels that it
-
comes in agreement with the supernatural
-
dunamis power of God that comes attached
-
with his word and enable you to do
-
things that you could not do on your
-
own. He gives you skills that you don't
-
have. He gives you strength that you
-
don't have. Even the ecosystem that
-
could not sustain you before, now we can
-
because the Lord commenced it to. When
-
you say yes to God and when that faith
-
comes to those levels, you can conquer
-
things that you could not conquer
-
before. And you know that because you
-
look back at stuff that shook you two
-
years ago and you laugh at them
-
>> because it was a stretching. You endured
-
that pain. Now the third pain that I
-
want to talk to is that the pain the
-
healing pain. And this is very important
-
because a lot of people mistake this
-
pain with wounding pain.
-
You know there's a pain that comes in
-
when God is healing something in your
-
life.
-
I I I remember going through uh we we
-
just did a a mission trip to Costa Rica
-
and working with children with
-
disabilities and many of these kids have
-
deformities because there were things
-
they lack growing up very muscles,
-
certain joints, certain bones, certain
-
things they lack and because they lack
-
that now they have to make up for it,
-
right? They have to come up with a way
-
to cope with what they lack. And and in
-
coping it created some deformities
-
and now the doctors have to come in do
-
certain stretches, do certain exercises
-
with them that are painful but are there
-
to heal them. Sometimes he they even
-
have to put some braces to keep certain
-
parts of the body in a certain position
-
so healing can take place.
-
And a lot of times the parents will come
-
back and say, "I don't want to put it on
-
because it hurts him. I don't like to
-
see my child cry." But the doctor say,
-
"If we don't do this now, he will be
-
marked for life. If we don't do this
-
now, it can make the difference between
-
this child walking or not walking the
-
rest of their life. This is not a pain
-
to hurt you. This is a pain to heal
-
you." And there's a lot of people in the
-
church right now especially that run
-
from this pain that God says, "Baby, I
-
don't want to hurt you. I love you. You
-
are the apple of my eyes. But there's
-
some things you lack growing up. There's
-
maybe you you you lack parents or or
-
love or affirmation or or there's trauma
-
that came in. There were things that
-
were stolen from you that caused for you
-
to make up. And in making that up, in
-
coping with that, you develop some
-
deformities in the spirit, some
-
emotional deformities. And now I have to
-
come and put a brace on it. And I have
-
to show you it will hurt. And a lot of
-
times I see this in church when when as
-
a pastor I try to come in and put those
-
braces in people. I tell you, we love
-
you and we will walk with you through
-
hell. We will get you through this.
-
We're not offended by your struggle.
-
We're not offended by what you're
-
walking through. We will walk as a
-
pastor. I will walk with you. I will go
-
through hell with you. And we will get
-
rid of this perversion. We will get rid
-
of this addiction. We will whatever it
-
is. I'm here for you. That's my covenant
-
to you. But I need to put this brace on
-
you.
-
I need to we need to bring some healing.
-
There's some things that God is going to
-
touch, that he's going to amputate, that
-
he's going to remove, that he's going to
-
touch in the process of healing.
-
And you know what many people do?
-
They don't like that pain. And it made
-
me wonder if a lot of what people are
-
confusing
-
with church hurt is actually healing
-
pain of a leader that came in and tried
-
to heal an area of their life. And
-
because they feel legitimate pain, I'm
-
not negating that there's legitimate
-
pain in the process, but that process
-
was not there to hurt them, but to heal
-
them. And in the process of doing that,
-
they're running to the next place
-
because they're running from that pain.
-
And God is saying there are braces that
-
I place in your life. There's people
-
sometimes God will put people situations
-
that serve as a brace. I remember there
-
are jobs that God have given me that
-
this is a brace right and say this
-
sucks. I don't like it. I want to quit.
-
But the Lord says no I'm forming
-
something in you. I'm healing something
-
in you. There were relationships to me
-
that there were a brace that God says no
-
you need that relationship. He hurts you
-
right now but it's for your good. is
-
good medicine. It's like sometimes in
-
order to get better, you have to hurt a
-
little bit.
-
And as we come to a closing, there may
-
be some areas as as we were speaking
-
that God was showing you, I do believe
-
in the other side of pain, you're coming
-
to your season of breakthrough. You're
-
coming through your season of healing.
-
And I hear the spirit of the Lord
-
saying, "Don't run. Don't run. Don't run
-
from it. I'm here with you. I will stand
-
with you on your pain. Let's look at
-
that pain together and I will show you.
-
I will give you new perspective. Maybe
-
what you perceive a damaging pain, it
-
was the Lord healing some areas of your
-
life and he say, "Hey, just let me
-
finish the process. Let me finish. I'm
-
not offended. I'm not upset with you.
-
But I need to heal this in you because
-
at the level I want to take you, you
-
can't you can't carry this. You can't
-
carry this wound anymore. It will be an
-
open door. It's for your own good."
-
There may be pain in your life that
-
today you say you know what nothing
-
wrong actually he has been favored that
-
is producing that pain in your life
-
because it's a burden pain is God
-
entrusting you with something he wants
-
to birth through you and he's saying hey
-
I know it hurts I know it has been hard
-
on you but can you endure pushing my
-
vision pushing my dream pushing what I
-
want to do here on the earth and some of
-
you may be dealing with actual hurting
-
pain and the Lord says don't run from
-
You and I, let's go to that dark place.
-
Allow me in in that place of pain. Allow
-
me to bring healing. Allow me to bring
-
forgiveness. Allow me to bring
-
restoration.
-
And out of that place of hurt, I'm going
-
to take you to a place of power. Because
-
whatever you conquer in the spirit, now
-
you have authority over it. And the Lord
-
have this majestic thing that he does.
-
He gave you the weapons. He gives you
-
the weapons of your enemy so you can
-
fight against him.
-
Maybe the Lord today wants to give you
-
the sword of Goliath.
-
And as you pursue that healing, that
-
restoration, that power, God is going to
-
entrust you with authority over the very
-
area that the enemy tried to use to kill
-
you. Amen. Now, there may be some people
-
here that
-
you may not know the Lord. You may not
-
have that opportunity to have that
-
encounter. I remember when I when I
-
first came to Christ, I had a lot of
-
pain. I got a lot of hurt. was very
-
upset and I came in a way of challenging
-
God. Say, "God, I want to see you. I did
-
not have the right attitude. I don't
-
even know what they preached that day,
-
but I gave my life to the Lord." Some
-
people claim I was under the influence.
-
Uh that's debatable.
-
It was some heavy drinking the night
-
before, but
-
and and and the reason I say that is
-
because it doesn't matter. It doesn't
-
matter where you are right now. God will
-
meet you there. And I do believe in my
-
case it's not I feel sincerely my
-
calling is I will raise this fool so
-
that people can say that he can use
-
anything right said well he did it with
-
Alex so he can do it with me. That's my
-
calling. I'm here for you.
-
And I came in that place
-
and he started with that prayer.
-
I say, "Jesus, I surrender my pain. I'm
-
tired to run from it. Like Noah, like
-
Jonah, I've been running from your pain.
-
And now I'm in the belly of the fish in
-
a place of debt. Can you come in? I
-
don't know you. I don't know theology. I
-
don't know all these things. I heard
-
about you. Can you come in my heart? I
-
don't even know how to fix this mess."
-
And that morning the spirit of the Lord
-
came and he started that process and he
-
started breaking things. And I remember
-
people told me like no this is the way
-
it is. Even doctors and specialists say
-
no your brain don't produce this kind of
-
stuff. You're broken. The best things
-
that we can do is to medicate you. Try
-
to make you manage the best you can but
-
you will never be normal. In rehab they
-
told me you will always be an addict.
-
You have to make peace with that fact.
-
But something inside of me cuz I got
-
that praying mama and she was wild and
-
she have irrational faith
-
and I have people in my life that came
-
in and said, "You're going to be a man
-
of God." And I laughed. I said, "Man,
-
you're on heavier drugs than I."
-
And I shared this to say, "I don't know
-
where you are right now." And I will
-
never minimize your pain, but I will not
-
let your pain and my sympathy for it get
-
on the way of your healing.
-
>> Jesus have the power to change your life
-
forever.
