  1. Now come on, stand to your feet and give

  2. God glory in this place.

  3. Come on, stand to your feet. Give him

  4. glory. It's all about him. Amen. Come

  5. on, give him a shout of praise.

  6. Hallelujah.

  7. Man,

  8. you know he wasn't lying. If you missed

  9. the men's retreat, golly, you missed

  10. out. Oh, it was such a powerful time be

  11. in the presence of the Lord with all of

  12. these men, different generations and and

  13. and and backgrounds and all that good

  14. stuff. I know that that's a weekend that

  15. I will remember forever. Uh and I'm

  16. looking forward already to next year's.

  17. So, be there.

  18. Um want to take a few moments this

  19. morning and just share with you as I'm

  20. getting all of these notes up.

  21. I want to share with you this morning

  22. from something that God's just been kind

  23. of really birthing in me. And and

  24. sometimes God does things. Have anybody

  25. ever experienced like God's doing

  26. something, you don't really know it yet

  27. and then like when it comes to your

  28. knower, you're like, "Oh, that's why I

  29. was Yeah. Anybody? I'm not alone. Okay,

  30. cool." And so, you know, it's been a

  31. it's been a journey and life is a

  32. journey and and it's such an amazing

  33. thing. But I want to share with you this

  34. morning if we'll just start uh let's

  35. look at the book of Psalm. Uh we're

  36. going to look at Psalm 77. Uh we're

  37. going to build from this place this

  38. morning. Verse 11 and 13.

  39. This scripture reads like this. It says,

  40. "I will remember the deeds of the Lord.

  41. Yes, I will remember your wonders of

  42. old. I will ponder all of your works. I

  43. will meditate on your mighty deeds.

  44. It goes on to say, "Your way, oh God, is

  45. holy.

  46. What God is great like our God?"

  47. >> Amen.

  48. >> The title of our talk this morning is

  49. going to be really simple. Remember.

  50. Remember. Look at your neighbor and tell

  51. them, "Remember."

  52. Father, I just thank you for this

  53. opportunity we have, God, to open your

  54. word.

  55. >> To hear from you. And I pray, God, that

  56. our ears would be keen, Father God, and

  57. sensitive to your voice. For your word

  58. is clear, that my sheep know my voice

  59. and a strangers they will not follow.

  60. Speak to us, good shepherd, this

  61. morning. Open our hearts, God, that God,

  62. you would be able to plant inside of our

  63. hearts the seed that will transform us.

  64. God,

  65. open our mind, Father God, to be able to

  66. comprehend and understand

  67. so that we may not let the word just sit

  68. and sour, God, but that we would not

  69. just be hearers, but doers of your word.

  70. We thank you for your love, your mercy,

  71. and your grace. Use me, Holy Spirit.

  72. Amen.

  73. So, just recently, I had an opportunity

  74. to do something that I've been wanting

  75. to do for quite some time. Uh, in May,

  76. um, 16th, uh, Pastor Mark, Apostle Mark,

  77. or as he said, I'm his son, so I make

  78. some papa. Papa and I, uh, we went to

  79. Washington DC. And in Washington DC, I

  80. got to do something that I got to just

  81. like kick off the bucket list kind of

  82. type thing. Anybody got one of those

  83. that you want to do? For me, it was uh

  84. the Museum of the Bible. I know maybe a

  85. little nerdy for some folks, but for me,

  86. it was the Museum of the Bible, and I

  87. always wanted to go there. And the truth

  88. is, I always wanted to go there with him

  89. specifically. Uh back in the day, and I

  90. still believe it to be true, but we we

  91. used to say it out of our mouth a whole

  92. lot more. We'd say, "Yeah, if anybody

  93. had a Bible question, we'd say, "Go ask

  94. Pastor Mark. He's the walking Bible."

  95. Amen. And so going to the Museum of the

  96. Bible with the walking Bible, I was

  97. like, man, I can't I'm glad to get

  98. something out of this. I know it. And it

  99. was very special to me. And so, um, I

  100. remember walking through there and

  101. seeing all of the history that takes

  102. place in the museum, all of the things

  103. that were preserved, seeing Dead Sea

  104. Scrolls. Thought that was really cool.

  105. Um, you know, I I I I was like looking

  106. at them. I had my hand on the glass

  107. where they were at. you know, it wasn't

  108. nothing crazy. They just were all ripped

  109. up and pieced together like a puzzle,

  110. but it was it's beautiful history that

  111. has been put together for us to see. Um,

  112. one of the things that really touched me

  113. was as we begin to go through the

  114. American history of the Bible and seeing

  115. how the Bible has come in and

  116. transformed

  117. American culture

  118. through the Great Awakening and so on

  119. and so on. I could be here for days

  120. telling you about it. We got to a place

  121. where they begin to talk about the

  122. translation of the Bible specifically

  123. into English. And there was a man by the

  124. name of William Tindle who was a martyr

  125. who was burned at the stake for

  126. translating the Bible into English. He's

  127. not the only one. He's not the first

  128. one, but he's one of the first ones who

  129. did.

  130. And I begin to think about that as I was

  131. looking at the monument. They had a

  132. statue that was supposed to resemble

  133. him. But at his feet were a bunch of

  134. books that were burnt.

  135. Because the history behind it is every

  136. time somebody would get a hold of one of

  137. the translations because the church at

  138. the time at large did not want it to be

  139. translated in English because it was

  140. controlled at the time and they would

  141. teach and nobody would be able to read

  142. on their own. It was actually in a

  143. different language. And so his heart

  144. was, I want to translate this so that

  145. the farmer in the field, so that the the

  146. guy who's at the shoe shop, the cobbler,

  147. they can receive from the Lord just as

  148. much as when they're in in the sanctuary

  149. on a Sunday.

  150. And anytime one of those Bibles were

  151. found, it was burnt.

  152. And this, you know, it's it's amazing to

  153. think about the story because he went

  154. all over hiding and running and

  155. continuing to find private places to

  156. print, to translate. And ultimately when

  157. he was caught, he was arrested. He was

  158. strangled. And then he was burnt at the

  159. stake. And the last words out of his

  160. mouth were this. God opened the eyes of

  161. the king.

  162. And it wasn't long after that that

  163. another king that was related to the one

  164. he was praying specifically about

  165. published the first English Bible for

  166. us.

  167. 90%

  168. of the work that went into that

  169. translation came from William Tindle

  170. and it was preserved. And I begin to

  171. think about that not knowing that

  172. history. But even now, I just think as I

  173. when we go through history and we begin

  174. to remember all of the things that were

  175. done, all of the all of the moments that

  176. led up to us being able to have one of

  177. these where you and I can understand

  178. today, where you and I can read in the

  179. privacy of our own house, where we can

  180. go into our prayer closet

  181. and we can receive from the Lord the

  182. passion,

  183. the desire,

  184. the willingness to suffer

  185. to go through that that man did. And

  186. then we next day we were at the National

  187. Mall. And at the National Mall, we were

  188. rededicating our nation

  189. to the Lord. I think there should be a

  190. couple more amens than that.

  191. And it was a powerful time. Many

  192. stories, many testimonies, many songs.

  193. There's a specific moment about an hour

  194. or so before the event was slotted to be

  195. finished

  196. that Lou Engle and Dutch Sheets came up

  197. and they led the nation in a prayer of

  198. repentance and thousands and thousands

  199. of people were on their face and their

  200. needs in the lawn in the grass and the

  201. gravel and the dirt right beside

  202. portagons everywhere. everybody. We even

  203. saw people there who literally had on

  204. sackcloth

  205. and he led a prayer of repentance over

  206. the nation. And I want to tell you, you

  207. know, the joke that day between Pastor

  208. Mark was the sun was so hot that God

  209. provided the fire and we wore the burn.

  210. So, we were the sacrifice. It was hot.

  211. But I'm going to tell you, in that

  212. moment, there was a wind that blew

  213. through that place and cooled off

  214. everything in that moment. It was

  215. supernatural.

  216. And the presence of the Lord began to

  217. fill that entire area as people were

  218. calling out to God, repenting for the

  219. sin of our nation and saying, "Lord, we

  220. need you. Lord, we need you." And then

  221. the speaker of the house, Mike Johnson,

  222. got up right after and he began to go

  223. through historical moments in American

  224. history and every single moment where

  225. God showed up. And had he had not, we

  226. would not be here today. And he began to

  227. give God thanks. and he began to

  228. remember every monumental moment that

  229. allowed us to be where we are today and

  230. to give praise and honor and glory to

  231. God. And then he began to commit the

  232. next 250 years. You know, when the

  233. speaker of the house says, "Lord, fill

  234. families with the power of the Holy

  235. Spirit." I said, "Man, this dude sound

  236. like he been to North Palm once or

  237. twice."

  238. the verbiage, the language. I'm not

  239. talking about a a a spirit of politics

  240. and all of that craziness. I'm not

  241. talking about that. I'm talking about

  242. this man crying out because he knows the

  243. power of the Holy Spirit. And he knows

  244. that our nation needs him now more than

  245. ever.

  246. >> And every memory was like a memorial

  247. brought up before the Lord.

  248. And that's all been happening. And I'm

  249. like, man, this is just so crazy. And

  250. I'm constantly thinking about all of

  251. these things. And then two Saturdays,

  252. two two weeks agoish on a Friday night

  253. actually, there was a man here by the

  254. name Paul Balash, or as you know, the

  255. Levites, we know him as Uncle Paulie,

  256. you know, he told us we could call him

  257. Uncle Paulie with that little Jersey

  258. accent, you know, and I was like, man,

  259. it's awesome. And so he's just such a

  260. king of a man and just such a pastor.

  261. And as he began to figure out the flow

  262. of the service and what it would look

  263. like, he began to talk about the stories

  264. that he would tell between each song.

  265. And he was trying to figure out exactly

  266. how it would go. But then he said, "You

  267. know what, guys? What we'll do? We're

  268. just going to remember

  269. because remembering is an act of

  270. worship."

  271. And that thing hit me real hard. And

  272. it's been the thing that's just been

  273. ringing in me. And God's just been

  274. taking me back all throughout. And I've

  275. been studying just seeing the importance

  276. of remembering. Do you realize that God

  277. has established festivals and feasts and

  278. songs and all kinds of things all

  279. throughout scripture also that we will

  280. remember what he has done.

  281. He ordains it. Scripture doesn't just

  282. encourage us to remember because it's a

  283. good idea. Scripture in places actually

  284. commands us to remember.

  285. In the book of Deuteronomy 31, Moses is

  286. instructed by God to write and teach a

  287. song to the children of Israel.

  288. The scripture says that the Lord says to

  289. him, "Now therefore, write this song and

  290. teach it to the people of Israel. Put it

  291. in their mouths that this song may be a

  292. witness for me against them, the people

  293. of Israel." And this is what is

  294. happening is that he knew that as I'm

  295. getting ready and he goes on to say,

  296. "I'm getting ready to launch them.

  297. They're going into the promised land,

  298. the land that I promised their

  299. forefathers flowing with milk and honey.

  300. There's going to be a moment where

  301. they're going to have their fill.

  302. They're going to become fat and sassy

  303. living in the promise and everything's

  304. going to be good and they're going to

  305. forget me.

  306. They're going to come to a place

  307. where they'll be so focused on enjoying

  308. what's going on that they will even turn

  309. to other gods and begin to worship them.

  310. And he says that this song is something

  311. that would bear witness. And you can

  312. actually read this song for yourself

  313. recorded in Deuteronomy chapter 32. It's

    Deuteronomy 32 chapter mention

  314. often called the song of Moses. And the

  315. purpose of the song wasn't just so that

  316. they would remember where that they came

  317. from. It was also to serve as a lasting

  318. witness. The scripture says that it

  319. would live unforgotten in the mouths of

  320. their offspring.

  321. It served as a reminder to them that God

  322. is faithful. He always has been and he

  323. always will be. It served as something

  324. that they could recount the fact that

  325. God chose them, protected them, and he

  326. blessed them.

  327. It served as a warning against even

  328. turning away from him and even more so

  329. as a call to bring them back into the

  330. faithfulness of the covenant, his love

  331. for us.

  332. God knew that future generations would

  333. come to a place where they might just

  334. forget all of his works. He knew. And so

  335. he predestined something as simple as a

  336. song to be birthed and passed down

  337. orally from generation to generation.

  338. That's the power of a song.

  339. And I think about just recently this

  340. morning we just sang a song that North

  341. Palm Worship wrote called Never Ever

  342. Forget. It was the first song we sang

  343. this morning. I'll cling to every word

  344. that you say

  345. cuz I know that you're faithful. You're

  346. faithful. How can how could I not

  347. believe that you'll complete what you

  348. say?

  349. Another song that's actually on the

  350. album is called Don't Forget the Lord.

  351. And that song is doing amazing right

  352. now. It's doing numbers that I don't

  353. even think we thought it would actually

  354. do. God has been surprising us with just

  355. how that song is growing in an audience.

  356. And it makes me wonder why.

  357. Because the truth is just like the

  358. children of Israel, if we're not

  359. careful, we are prone to forget.

  360. We will.

  361. So in that case,

  362. how do we do this?

  363. How do we move in a way that we don't

  364. forget the Lord? Well, first thing I

  365. want to tell you is you need to remember

  366. God's goodness in your life personally.

  367. David writes in Psalm 103, "Bless the

  368. Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within

  369. me. Bless his holy name." He goes on to

  370. say, "Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and

  371. forget not."

  372. >> If you forget not, that means you don't

  373. forget, which means that you

  374. >> remember.

  375. So remember all of his benefits who

  376. forgives your iniquities.

  377. >> Come on.

  378. >> HE FORGIVES YOU OF all sin and

  379. unrighteousness.

  380. He heals all of your diseases.

  381. >> He redeems your life from the pit.

  382. >> He crowns you with steadfast love and

  383. mercy. He satisfies you with good so

  384. that your youth is renewed like the

  385. eagles.

  386. >> We have to remember what God has done in

  387. our life. We have to remember his

  388. goodness in our life. Not just on

  389. thanksgiving, not just an every now and

  390. then thing. It should be an institute in

  391. your life that when you sit with God

  392. that you begin to recall the hell that

  393. he pulled you out from.

  394. It should be a part OF YOUR EVERYDAY

  395. LIFE. IT SHOULD BE A PART OF your prayer

  396. time that you come back to the place of

  397. remembering I shouldn't be here.

  398. >> You say, "Man, that sounds simple. Then

  399. why don't we do it?

  400. It sounds elementary." Oh, yeah. If it's

  401. elementary, remove it and let's see how

  402. well it goes.

  403. It should be like breath to us to

  404. remember all that God has done in our

  405. life. I remember the first time I ever

  406. heard the song Goodness of God.

  407. And I remember telling Deborah and some

  408. of the Levites this one time, every time

  409. I hear that part that says, "All my life

  410. you have been faithful.

  411. All my life you have been so so good.

  412. >> With every breath that I am able,

  413. I will sing of the goodness of God.

  414. I think about this thought would come to

  415. my mind. I think about times I'm going

  416. to be real honest with you. I think

  417. about times where I was doing things

  418. that I'm ashamed to even talk about that

  419. I did on this on this stage.

  420. things that I was doing that I should

  421. not even be here. Things that I was

  422. doing, the drugs and all of the

  423. craziness that was going on in my life

  424. that some of the people that I was with,

  425. they can't even tell you anything

  426. because they're not here today. But

  427. somehow God in his goodness decided I

  428. will preserve you because I have a plan.

  429. I have a purpose for you.

  430. I think about the moment when I was

  431. looking down the barrel of a gun and I

  432. had a it jammed into my ribs and I was

  433. ready to go CUZ YOU KNOW WHEN YOU'RE out

  434. there you're full of arrogance and

  435. pride. You're not like oh no sir what

  436. would you like? I'll give you anything.

  437. That's not what it was. I'm like oh you

  438. want something from me? You going to

  439. have to kill me. How stupid.

  440. >> BUT GOD LOOKS AFTER THE FOOL.

  441. >> He took care of me. I was foolish. And

  442. he says, "Son, I'm going to preserve

  443. you."

  444. Those moments, I think about all of the

  445. times that I've been here. And in his

  446. goodness, he corrected me. He sharpened

  447. me. He formed me. He said, "There's no

  448. character, but I'm going to give you

  449. character." He said, "Son, there's a

  450. gift that I put inside of you, and I'm

  451. going to call it out of you, and I'm

  452. going to use people to do that." For

  453. some of you, the next level in your life

  454. is actually who you're connected to

  455. >> in this room.

  456. >> It's the lives that you are connected

  457. to. The next place that you are to go.

  458. >> And in his goodness, he connected me to

  459. a house. When the world saw a thug, my

  460. pastor saw a son.

  461. >> He saw a son. And that's the testimony

  462. of many people in this room.

  463. That's the goodness of God of of many

  464. people. That's their story in this room.

  465. >> WE CANNOT forget the goodness of God.

  466. >> We must remember the sacrifice of Jesus.

  467. We're commanded by Jesus to do this in

  468. remembrance of me.

  469. >> At the last supper, he broke the bread

  470. and he shared the cup and said, "This do

  471. in remembrance of me." Luke 22:19.

    Luke 22:19

  472. Paul is even teaching the church in

  473. Corinth this very thing. And he repeats

  474. these instructions and he is describing

  475. communion saying this do in remembrance

  476. of me. 1 Corinthians 11:24.

    1 Corinthians 11:24

  477. We're commanded.

  478. And why? Because God ordained communion

  479. in that relationship so that we would

  480. remember his sacrifice, his covenant,

  481. and his love.

  482. You know, Pastor Mark stood here just

  483. last week preached one of the greatest

  484. message I've ever heard. And if you

  485. missed it, you need to go get on the

  486. app, get on YouTube, and you need to

  487. find it. It's called the answer to

  488. everything.

  489. And it's the cross,

  490. >> the sacrifice of the cross.

  491. He says, "This is my body." DO YOU KNOW

  492. WHAT HAPPENED to his body?

  493. >> Do you know WHAT THEY DID TO YOUR

  494. SAVIOR?

  495. ARE YOU AWARE OF IT? DO YOU REMEMBER THE

  496. PAIN AND THE AGONY? YES, HE WAS 100%

  497. GOD, but he was not. HE STRIPPED

  498. HIMSELF. HE DIDN'T just go through it

  499. and say, "I can do this cuz I don't feel

  500. any pain." He bled HOW YOU BLEED. HE

  501. FELT HOW YOU FELT.

  502. The pain he felt himself.

  503. He went through it all. And the entire

  504. time the goal was, I see a bride

  505. for the joy that is set before me.

  506. That's you and I. The blood that poured

  507. out of his body that is the covenant and

  508. it is the remission of all of our sin.

  509. It is the debt that we couldn't pay and

  510. the BLOOD WASHES IT AWAY and pays it in

  511. full. I don't know about you, but I just

  512. can't get over it. It's not normal to

  513. me.

  514. I can't get used to it.

  515. >> And we get going. We get in the dos and

  516. the dos of coming to church and and and

  517. and we we have a lifestyle that we're

  518. living. We're doing all kinds of things.

  519. And if we're not careful, even in the

  520. mix of all of that, we can still forget

  521. to remember.

  522. The proof of that is right here in

  523. Revelation. the church in Ephesus.

  524. The words of him who holds the seven

  525. stars in his hand and walks among the

  526. seven golden lampstands. He says, "I

  527. know your works, your toil, your patient

  528. endurance, and how you cannot bear with

  529. those who are evil,

  530. but have tested those who call

  531. themselves apostles and are not." And

  532. you've even, this is what he's saying.

  533. You've even had the discernment TO FIND

  534. OUT THAT THEY ARE FALSE.

  535. I know that you're enduring patiently

  536. and bearing up for my name's sake. You

  537. going through some stuff for my name is

  538. what he's saying.

  539. And you've not even grown weary in doing

  540. so.

  541. Yet I have this one thing against you

  542. that you have abandoned the love you had

  543. at first.

  544. And then the command, remember,

  545. remember,

  546. remember therefore from where you have

  547. fallen. Repent and do the works you did

  548. at first. And he says, if not, I will

  549. come and I will remove your lampstand

  550. from its place unless you repent.

  551. >> Amen. I remember years ago watching one

  552. thing as Francis Chan was standing on

  553. the stage and he told a story as he was

  554. preparing and he was going back through

  555. notes. often times uh uh preachers will

  556. have cataloges of messages and he was

  557. going back through and he was saying God

  558. is there anything here and he was

  559. searching looking back in his journal

  560. and he found some of his early work some

  561. of the early things that he had written

  562. down and he said this he said after

  563. reading that I came to a moment where I

  564. had to ask myself this question do I did

  565. I love God more then or now

  566. see he went back to the very beginning

  567. of his ministry

  568. I was trying to explain this concept to

  569. my children last night and it was kind

  570. of comical and I had to do it with our

  571. dog Bean.

  572. She's a little bitty golden doodle,

  573. weighs about 15 pounds.

  574. And I said, "Do y'all remember the day

  575. we first got Bean?" And he said, "Yeah."

  576. I said, "Remember what we did? We went

  577. to the store." And he said, "Yep. We

  578. bought a collar for her. We made sure

  579. she had her food." Oh, Dad, do you

  580. remember I picked out the bowls? I said,

  581. 'Yeah, I do. Oh, do you remember? I'm

  582. the one who picked out the pink tag cuz

  583. I knew she was a girl. Yeah, I remember

  584. that.

  585. Oh, Dad, do you remember when she came?

  586. Do you remember? And I said, do you

  587. remember when you cried?

  588. Do you remember when you were you were

  589. so undignified? You just laid in the

  590. floor with her and she was just loving

  591. on you. And while normaly people would

  592. look at that and be like, some people be

  593. like, I don't know about that. I don't

  594. get down with dogs like that. But kids

  595. were just in the floor

  596. and every day they'd wake up and they

  597. say, "Does she need to go out? Does she

  598. need food in her bowl? Might I put some

  599. water in there, father?" every day

  600. in the beginning,

  601. >> the first love,

  602. the works you did at first. And the

  603. church needs to know that the word of

  604. God is telling us, if you want to get

  605. back to that place, all you have to do

  606. is remember.

  607. Remember,

  608. let me tell you what remembering will do

  609. for you. It'll give you your joy back.

  610. >> Come on. Shameless plug. I'm going to

  611. tell you right now, if you ain't got the

  612. album, it's on every DSP possible.

  613. Digital streaming platform. For those

  614. that don't know what DSP is, that's

  615. okay.

  616. I got my joy back. And I don't know

  617. about you, but it helped me because I

  618. don't forget the Lord like the songs

  619. say.

  620. I'll never ever forget like the song

  621. says and this Wednesday we're recording

  622. something that's called remind me.

  623. Listen, I'm telling you it's a it's like

  624. a line of something that's flowing

  625. through time with us right now that God

  626. is calling his church back to a place of

  627. remember. Remember remember.

  628. Remembering will give you your joy back.

  629. Remembering will take you from being a

  630. victim into being somebody who is

  631. endowed with gratitude. you'll be

  632. victorious. Because see, when you

  633. remember, a lot of times people look

  634. back and they go to that place and they

  635. think, "Man, all of this is happening to

  636. me." Can I tell you something? In the

  637. kingdom, nothing is happening to you. It

  638. is always happening for you.

  639. >> I need you to understand this. It's not

  640. happening to you. It's happening for

  641. you. Because your God makes all things

  642. work together for the good of those that

  643. love him and are called according to his

  644. purpose.

  645. It'll transform your traumas into the

  646. trampoline that bounces you right into

  647. resiliency.

  648. Remembering will no longer be a thing

  649. that you look back at and you're so

  650. scarred by it that you're afraid to look

  651. back. Can I tell you, I can look back at

  652. those moments. I'm gonna be real and

  653. honest with you. I can look back at

  654. those moments. I can look back at times

  655. as a child where I dealt with child

  656. molestation. And I can tell you with a

  657. clean conscience right before you today,

  658. I can tell you there ain't no shame in

  659. me about it. I can talk about it out

  660. loud because God gave me A RESILIENCY

  661. THAT WHEN I DO, IT SETS ANOTHER FREE.

  662. remembering is also the gas that you

  663. need to put in your tank today to face

  664. the mountain that's in front of you.

  665. >> Often times your ability to keep going

  666. is coming from a moment of pausing and

  667. remembering the last time I was looking

  668. at a mountain and I felt the same way,

  669. but I saw my God. I saw my God reach in.

  670. I saw my GOD ENDOWED ME WITH POWER. I

  671. SAW MY GOD DO SOMETHING WITH ME THAT I

  672. DIDN'T KNOW I COULD DO. BUT HE SAID,

  673. "YOU GO. I SEND YOU GO."

  674. >> SO, it's not just a trip down memory

  675. lane.

  676. It's not just some little sweet thing we

  677. like to talk about and just we get the

  678. little feelings and for the moment, oh,

  679. I just that was so nice. I remember that

  680. time. It's not just that.

  681. It's strength. It's resolve.

  682. And if we're not careful,

  683. we will minimize something that God has

  684. commanded from Genesis to Revelation

  685. to be something that we rarely ever do.

  686. We get so busy doing the do. We get so

  687. busy serving our ministry instead of

  688. serving our God.

  689. >> When in fact, your service to God is

  690. what empowers you to be effective in

  691. ministry. Just in case you were just

  692. throw that out there,

  693. stand with me this morning.

  694. Maybe you're here

  695. and you say, "Hey, man, I hear you.

  696. I get it. This remember thing, it's not

  697. a real hard concept to understand. It's

  698. not rocket science." You're right.

  699. But maybe you say to yourself, you know,

  700. when I remember, when I look back over

  701. my life, I see a lot of things that I

  702. don't want to necessarily look back at.

  703. I don't want to remember everything that

  704. I've done or whatever the case may be. I

  705. don't want to remember everything that

  706. I've been through. Can I invite you to a

  707. place this morning? I want to invite you

  708. into the hands of a father

  709. who is not surprised nor is he appalled.

  710. But he is inviting you in and he's

  711. saying, "I'm going to take your memories

  712. and your mess and I'm going to turn them

  713. into a message and a ministry.

  714. I'm going to build something inside of

  715. you that your mind can't even conceive.

  716. >> You've never seen it because it's never

  717. been done. It's handcrafted.
