  1. Well, we're here this morning in the basement of the church, and I thought about if for

  2. this morning there was a good passage to preach in the basement of the church.

  3. I didn't think of one.

  4. I didn't want to preach on people being in prison or anything like that.

  5. It's not that bad.

  6. But it got me thinking about churches that today are meeting underground or in secret.

  7. And thankfully we have the freedom to continue to meet today in person.

  8. And I guess I'm not going to worry for ourselves anyways about whether that will be taken away

  9. this year.

  10. The Lord Jesus has said, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

  11. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

  12. But I got thinking, what are all those underground churches preaching about this morning in their

  13. services?

  14. And then I thought, well, it's probably the good news of Jesus.

  15. It's probably the story of Jesus.

  16. What else would they be preaching?

  17. That's our main thing.

  18. Jesus is everything to us as a church.

  19. And if we have him, we have everything.

  20. And if we don't have him, we don't have anything.

  21. So we're going to continue right on with our series through John this morning.

  22. We're in John chapter 7.

    John 7 chapter mention

  23. And if you have your Bible, you can open it up there.

  24. Or if not, you can use one of the Bibles that are provided in the pews there.

  25. And Jesus is in Jerusalem.

  26. He's at the temple courts.

  27. He's teaching the people.

  28. The people are astonished at his teaching.

  29. They wonder where he got it from.

  30. Jesus told them that his teaching is from God.

  31. Some of them don't believe that.

  32. And Jesus has been making the case that he's no deceiver.

  33. The evidence is there that he hasn't been seeking glory or praise for himself in all this,

  34. but that he's been seeking for the people to glorify and praise God the Father who sent him.

  35. So we're going to pick up the conversation in verse 19.

  36. At this point in the conversation, Jesus seems to turn the focus onto them and away from himself.

  37. Verse 19.

  38. Has not Moses given you the law, says Jesus?

  39. Yet not one of you keeps the law.

  40. Why are you trying to kill me?

  41. You have to know that at this point in the conversation,

  42. this probably took the conversation to a whole different level.

  43. Let's remember that there are hundreds if not thousands of people gathered there for the festival at this point.

  44. And Jesus throws this out into the whole crowd.

  45. Has not Moses given you the law?

  46. Yet not one of you keeps the law.

  47. Why are you trying to kill me?

  48. It's a rhetorical question.

  49. Of course, Moses has given you the law.

  50. You have it.

  51. But why are you not living according to the law?

  52. And I think at this point, Jesus is talking specifically to the Jewish leaders in the crowd.

  53. You know what is right.

  54. You know what is wrong from the law.

  55. And yet not one of you keeps the law.

  56. Case in point.

  57. Why are you trying to kill me?

  58. This is an amazing response.

  59. And on the surface, it might look like Jesus is just kind of throwing out some kind of an accusation that will get people's attention off of him and onto the religious leaders.

  60. But it's more than that.

  61. It's far from that.

  62. Jesus and a good number of people have known for a while that the religious leaders are out for his blood.

  63. The religious leaders have been plotting.

  64. They have been scheming.

  65. They've been asking around.

  66. As we heard back up in verse 11.

  67. They've been at this festival saying, where is he?

  68. And Jesus, in front of this whole crowd that's gathered there, he exposes just what the religious leaders are up to in front of everyone.

  69. And not only that, but he uses it as an example of their own hypocrisy.

  70. Talking about deceiving people and deceivers.

  71. You know, these guys are the religious leaders.

  72. They're the experts in the law.

  73. He says, you have God's holy law, yet not one of you keeps the law.

  74. Case in point, why are you trying to kill me?

  75. Let's think about the law that God gave to Israel and what it says in this matter.

  76. Just a couple quick verses.

  77. Deuteronomy 25 verse 1.

    Deuteronomy 25:1

  78. The Lord said this.

  79. When people have a dispute, they are to take it to court and the judges will decide the case.

  80. Acquitting the innocent and condemning the guilty.

  81. So there's instruction about what to do in a dispute.

  82. Jesus and the religious leaders are in a bit of a dispute here.

  83. And then when they get to the court, there are instructions that the Lord gave about that too.

  84. He said in Exodus 23 verse 7,

    Exodus 23:7

  85. So they want Jesus dead.

  86. But the only justifiable reason to put anyone to death is if they're guilty of breaking the law of God in a way that deserves capital punishment.

  87. And all of this, of course, is to be handled in the court system with due process and proceedings.

  88. So if Jesus' death doesn't come this way, then the other law that applies from the law is Exodus 20 verse 13, right out of the Ten Commandments.

    Exodus 20:13

  89. You shall not murder.

  90. This is what Jesus is really exposing in the so-called religious leaders.

  91. It's hypocrisy of the worst kind.

  92. Deceit of the worst kind.

  93. They're pretending to be righteous, faithful, devout followers of God who obey him and do the law of God.

  94. Yet in their hearts, they are envious and murderous.

  95. And not just in their hearts.

  96. They've been actively scheming and plotting and planning to get Jesus killed.

  97. That's what murderers do.

  98. So Jesus asks them in front of everyone,

  99. Why are you trying to kill me?

  100. Verse 20.

  101. It's the crowd who responds,

  102. You are demon-possessed.

  103. The crowd answered,

  104. Who is trying to kill you?

  105. Now it's maybe a little ambiguous.

  106. It says the crowd is the one that answered.

  107. But this is probably some of the crowd who have traveled from other parts of Israel.

  108. Maybe they are unfamiliar with all that's been going on between Jesus and the religious leaders.

  109. But they kind of just seem to be throwing out an accusation.

  110. You know, you're mad.

  111. You're insane.

  112. You're crazy.

  113. Who's trying to kill you?

  114. You think the government, the religious ruling leaders are out to get you?

  115. This guy must be demon-possessed.

  116. Interestingly enough, Jesus doesn't seem to answer the question any further.

  117. Maybe he felt that he had already answered it, or maybe he didn't think they were sincere in asking it.

  118. I'm not sure.

  119. But he just goes right on ahead with exposing the hypocrisy of the religious leaders.

  120. Verse 21.

  121. Jesus said to them,

  122. I did one miracle, and you are all amazed.

  123. Yet because Moses gave you circumcision, though actually it did not come from Moses, but from the patriarchs,

  124. you circumcise a boy on the Sabbath.

  125. Now if a boy can be circumcised on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses may not be broken,

  126. why are you angry with me for healing a man's whole body on the Sabbath?

  127. Stop judging by mere appearances.

  128. Instead, judge correctly, says Jesus.

  129. So Jesus points back to his last run-in with the religious leaders back in chapter 5.

  130. We heard how he healed that man at the Pool of Siloam on the Sabbath day.

  131. And we saw how the religious leaders after that began to go after him even more, trying to kill him.

  132. Jesus says,

  133. I did one miracle, literally one work, and you are all amazed.

  134. And probably this is not the good kind of amazed.

  135. It's probably more like astonished.

  136. You're all shocked that I did that on the Sabbath.

  137. That's your charge against me.

  138. That's why I'm deserving of death, because I did that on the Sabbath.

  139. You hypocrites!

  140. Don't you also, in the same way, break the Sabbath by doing the work of circumcision?

  141. The covenant that was made with Abraham and the law of Moses prescribed circumcision for every baby boy on the eighth day of his life.

  142. But what happens when his eighth day of life is on the Sabbath?

  143. Well, the Jewish leaders recognized that even though it technically was work to circumcise the baby boy,

  144. they should still do this on the Sabbath day, they said.

  145. I mean, this is circumcision.

  146. This is the sign of the covenant between God and the people.

  147. Doing this puts that boy into a right covenant standing with God.

  148. And it's necessary.

  149. Jesus masterfully argues from the lesser to the greater.

  150. He says, you will circumcise a boy on the Sabbath day to heal or to make right that one part of his body.

  151. So why are you angry with me for healing a man's whole body on the Sabbath?

  152. This guy hadn't been able to walk for 38 years.

  153. And you're telling me that I'm guilty of breaking the Sabbath because I didn't let him go another day.

  154. I didn't wait another day till the Sabbath was over to heal him.

  155. Stop judging by mere appearances, says Jesus.

  156. And make a right judgment.

  157. Wow.

  158. What's the problem with these religious leaders?

  159. The religious leaders are trying to play a game here.

  160. They're trying to make Jesus look bad on the surface.

  161. On the face of things.

  162. In front of all the people.

  163. But their charge and their accusation is all wrong.

  164. They've misapplied the law.

  165. And they haven't done that innocently.

  166. They're trying to twist the law.

  167. And use it against Jesus.

  168. But Jesus says, you don't even apply the law to yourselves in this way.

  169. Their determination that he's worthy of death is completely unjust.

  170. And unjustified.

  171. Well, that's the snapshot of the conversation that we get with this crowd and Jesus.

  172. We don't get a lot.

  173. We get just the highlights.

  174. And at this point, John starts telling us about the reaction of some of the crowd to all this.

  175. And they haven't seen or heard from Jesus in a while.

  176. Because he's been up in Galilee for a while.

  177. Verse 25.

  178. At that point, some of the people of Jerusalem began to ask,

  179. Isn't this the man they're trying to kill?

  180. Here he is, speaking publicly.

  181. And they're not saying a word to him.

  182. Have the authorities really concluded that he's the Messiah?

  183. So some of the people of Jerusalem are picking up what Jesus is laying down.

  184. They're figuring it out.

  185. They've known for a while now that the religious leaders have been seeking to put someone to death.

  186. But now this question reveals that they realize that it's Jesus.

  187. This is the guy.

  188. The very one that everybody's been talking about.

  189. He's the guy that they're trying to kill.

  190. Probably what's been happening is that the religious leaders have been putting a deceitful spin on things.

  191. Here in Jerusalem.

  192. Putting out the word that there's a man wanted for having repeatedly broken the Sabbath law.

  193. Attempting to discredit Jesus and poison the attitudes of the people toward Jesus there in Jerusalem.

  194. But now here, all of a sudden, it seems as though the citizens of Jerusalem are realizing that there's something not quite right here.

  195. Like we recognize that this is the guy that they're trying to kill.

  196. But something's not right here.

  197. If he's deserving of death for breaking the law,

  198. I mean, look, here he is speaking publicly right here in the temple courts and nobody's saying anything to him.

  199. The religious leaders aren't saying a word.

  200. What's going on here?

  201. Have they concluded that he really is the Messiah?

  202. Do you feel the tension among the people?

  203. They smell something fishy.

  204. Things aren't quite adding up.

  205. Something's not right here.

  206. Could it be that he is the Messiah?

  207. Verse 27.

  208. But we know where this man is from.

  209. When the Messiah comes, no one will know where he is from.

  210. Just when it seems as though they were moving towards the right conclusion about Jesus,

  211. all of a sudden the voice of doubt enters in.

  212. Apparently it was a popular idea that the Messiah would seem to come out of nowhere when he came.

  213. Not that he would be a ghost.

  214. They thought he would be human.

  215. But many also thought that his origins would largely be unknown.

  216. I mean, it can't be this Jesus guy.

  217. We all know where he's from.

  218. He's from Nazareth.

  219. Over in Galilee.

  220. It's kind of an odd thing to stumble over.

  221. I'm not really sure what they were expecting.

  222. If they believed that the Messiah would be flesh and blood human being just like us,

  223. a Jewish man,

  224. then of course he would have a hometown in Israel,

  225. a place that he was from.

  226. And if they were only expecting him to just seem like he came out of nowhere,

  227. well, that's what happened, isn't it?

  228. One day John the baptizer is preaching out at the river,

  229. and the next day he says,

  230. Behold, the Lamb of God!

  231. And there Jesus was,

  232. a grown man that nobody except his friends, family, and neighbors knew anything about.

  233. So I don't know what they were expecting.

  234. Verse 28,

  235. Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courts,

  236. cried out,

  237. Yes, you know me,

  238. and you know where I am from.

  239. I am not here on my own authority,

  240. but he who sent me is true.

  241. You do not know him,

  242. but I know him,

  243. because I am from him,

  244. and he sent me.

  245. So Jesus kind of acknowledges the objection of the crowd.

  246. Yes, you know what family I am from.

  247. You know where my hometown is,

  248. but there is a lot you do not know about me,

  249. like why I am here.

  250. Do you know that I am not here of myself,

  251. or of my own initiative,

  252. and you do not know the one who sent me?

  253. Of course we know who Jesus is referring to,

  254. it is the same thing he has been saying all along.

  255. He is claiming to be sent by God,

  256. his Father.

  257. And if we are listening closely,

  258. he is also telling the people in the crowd

  259. that they do not know him,

  260. God,

  261. the one who sent him.

  262. So yes,

  263. you know a few things about me,

  264. superficially,

  265. but there is a lot you do not know about me.

  266. Let's finish the moment here.

  267. The crowd has a mixed response to all this.

  268. Verse 30.

  269. At this,

  270. they tried to seize him,

  271. but no one laid a hand on him,

  272. because his hour had not yet come.

  273. Still,

  274. many in the crowd believed in him.

  275. They said,

  276. when the Messiah comes,

  277. will he perform more signs than this man?

  278. So it was a mixed response.

  279. Some think that Jesus is crazy,

  280. perhaps demon-possessed.

  281. Some are trying to get him arrested.

  282. But in the midst of all this,

  283. John says,

  284. some believed.

  285. He has to be the Messiah.

  286. Look at the signs he is doing,

  287. and how many of them.

  288. Are we to expect the Messiah

  289. to perform more signs than this man has performed?

  290. Surely not.

  291. So things are kind of heating up here

  292. between Jesus and the crowd,

  293. and next week,

  294. we'll see how the Pharisees make a play

  295. to try and get their hands on Jesus.

  296. But what can we take

  297. from what we've seen so far here today?

  298. Well,

  299. I want to encourage you

  300. to put yourself in the story.

  301. First of all,

  302. the big question here is,

  303. who is Jesus?

  304. Are you like the people in the crowd

  305. who thought that Jesus was out of his mind?

  306. Are you like the people in the crowd

  307. who think he's a clever deceiver?

  308. Or are you like the people in the crowd

  309. who see the countless miraculous signs

  310. that he's been doing

  311. and believe that he is the Messiah,

  312. God's chosen king?

  313. Who do you believe,

  314. I mean truly believe,

  315. that Jesus is?

  316. This is the question

  317. that we need to sort out

  318. first and foremost.

  319. But not only this,

  320. this is the question

  321. that we need to urge others

  322. to sort out

  323. first and foremost.

  324. Our children,

  325. our neighbors,

  326. those who live in our community,

  327. our co-workers,

  328. our extended family members.

  329. I love what Jesus

  330. does here

  331. in this conversation.

  332. And I think there's something

  333. we can learn about

  334. sharing the good news with others

  335. from Jesus here.

  336. Do you hear what the people said

  337. about Jesus?

  338. They said,

  339. we know him.

  340. We know where he's from.

  341. He can't be the Messiah.

  342. But do you hear what

  343. Jesus' response was?

  344. Essentially he said,

  345. yes,

  346. you know the surface details.

  347. the tangible details

  348. of me and my story,

  349. but you do not know

  350. the deeper details.

  351. You do not know

  352. truly

  353. who I am,

  354. where I'm from,

  355. why I'm here.

  356. It's as though Jesus,

  357. as tactfully as can be said,

  358. is gently

  359. pushing back,

  360. saying,

  361. you think you know me,

  362. but you don't know me

  363. as well as you think you do.

  364. he challenges them.

  365. And I think we can learn

  366. from that.

  367. I think it's very likely

  368. that we all have some people

  369. in our circles

  370. who don't believe in Jesus,

  371. who also have some

  372. misconceptions about him,

  373. or who see him

  374. in a very superficial way,

  375. have a certain view of him.

  376. And I think it's okay,

  377. just as Jesus did,

  378. to graciously and gently

  379. push back a little bit on that.

  380. So what might we say to people?

  381. Well, this is going to come down

  382. to the individual conversation

  383. and to you

  384. and how you say things

  385. and to the person

  386. you're saying them to.

  387. I trust the Lord

  388. will give you wisdom

  389. and words.

  390. But maybe you might say

  391. something like this

  392. in your own words.

  393. You know,

  394. one of the things

  395. that continually

  396. surprises me

  397. is that the more

  398. I read the accounts

  399. of Jesus,

  400. the more I realize

  401. that I didn't really know him

  402. as well as I thought I did.

  403. You know,

  404. there's kind of this

  405. pop culture understanding

  406. of who Jesus is.

  407. There's kind of this

  408. church culture understanding

  409. of who Jesus is.

  410. But as a follower of Jesus,

  411. as I've been reading my Bible,

  412. I'm continually finding things

  413. about him

  414. that surprise me.

  415. I love that about Jesus.

  416. No matter how hard you try,

  417. you just can't seem

  418. to put him into a box

  419. or a mold.

  420. It's amazing.

  421. You might say something like that.

  422. A subtle way to remind people

  423. that maybe they don't know Jesus

  424. as well as they think they do.

  425. Where maybe it comes up

  426. in a conversation

  427. that's a little more tense.

  428. Maybe somebody makes a comment

  429. about what you believe.

  430. And maybe you say

  431. something more like this.

  432. You know,

  433. what I'm hearing from you

  434. is that you already

  435. have made up your mind

  436. about Jesus.

  437. And I just want to be honest

  438. with you.

  439. I don't say this to insult you

  440. or anything like that,

  441. but I'm not sure

  442. that you know Jesus

  443. as well as you think you do.

  444. What he said,

  445. what he did.

  446. And just leave it at that.

  447. As Greg Kukul said

  448. in his book called Tactics,

  449. it's almost like putting a pebble

  450. in someone's shoe.

  451. Something that they can carry around

  452. with them in their shoe

  453. for a while.

  454. And eventually,

  455. maybe that little thought,

  456. that thing that you said to them

  457. will get to them

  458. and will get them thinking.

  459. Maybe I haven't really known

  460. Jesus

  461. or understood

  462. who he is,

  463. the whole story.

  464. Who knows?

  465. Maybe the Lord will use that

  466. to cause them

  467. to get back into their Bibles

  468. and read for themselves

  469. the story of Jesus.

  470. I'm reminded of the story

  471. of Rosaria Butterfield.

  472. There was a gracious

  473. and kind older couple

  474. who reached out to Rosaria

  475. after she wrote an article

  476. against the promise keepers.

  477. And this couple invited her

  478. to come over for a meal

  479. and chat about that article.

  480. Pretty bold step.

  481. And one thing led to another

  482. and it kind of became

  483. a regular thing.

  484. They started having her over

  485. for a meal

  486. and talking about

  487. what she was interested in

  488. and talking about things

  489. of faith and Christianity.

  490. And Ken, the older man,

  491. would do this from time to time.

  492. He would gently push back

  493. just a little bit

  494. on what Rosaria was saying

  495. about Jesus

  496. to help her see,

  497. no, look at this passage.

  498. I don't think you've really

  499. got Jesus figured out yet.

  500. And because of that,

  501. Rosaria continued

  502. in her own words

  503. to research

  504. the religious right,

  505. she began reading

  506. her Bible even more

  507. in an attempt

  508. to make her case.

  509. Her original goal

  510. was to publish something

  511. about the religious right's

  512. politics of hatred

  513. against LGBT people.

  514. Her conversations with Ken

  515. drove her deeper

  516. into the Bible

  517. and eventually

  518. she ended up giving

  519. her life to the Jesus

  520. that she found

  521. in the pages

  522. of the gospel.

  523. The truth is

  524. that we never quite know

  525. how people will respond

  526. to the next time

  527. that we graciously

  528. and gently

  529. point them to Jesus.

  530. Jesus always knew

  531. what to say

  532. to people.

  533. Of course he did.

  534. He's the perfect

  535. son of God.

  536. But even he

  537. had a mixed response.

  538. Many didn't believe.

  539. But some did.

  540. And so I think

  541. we can be encouraged

  542. by Jesus here

  543. to be a little more

  544. bold.

  545. Not argumentative,

  546. but humbly

  547. and graciously

  548. courageous.

  549. If people are not

  550. reading their Bibles

  551. regularly,

  552. the chances are

  553. they have a superficial

  554. view of Jesus

  555. as well.

  556. chances are

  557. they don't really

  558. know him as well

  559. as they think they do.

  560. And so this is

  561. one of our opportunities.

  562. But we all need

  563. to admit here,

  564. I think,

  565. that in order for it

  566. to be an opportunity,

  567. we need to know

  568. Jesus

  569. beyond the superficial.

  570. We need to know

  571. him well.

  572. How well do you

  573. know Jesus?

  574. Jesus?

  575. What's something

  576. about him

  577. that you love?

  578. What's something

  579. about Jesus

  580. that has captured

  581. your heart

  582. recently?

  583. Maybe even

  584. surprised you?

  585. You know,

  586. it's easy to tell

  587. people about

  588. something

  589. or someone

  590. who has captured

  591. your heart.

  592. let me share

  593. just one thing

  594. that captured

  595. my heart this

  596. week from

  597. this passage.

  598. Something about

  599. Jesus,

  600. and we'll end

  601. with this.

  602. In this whole

  603. crowd of people,

  604. I don't hear

  605. anyone else

  606. standing up

  607. for that poor

  608. man,

  609. the man who

  610. for 38 years

  611. had been unable

  612. to walk

  613. and was lying

  614. there by the

  615. pool of Siloam

  616. desperately trying

  617. even 38 years

  618. later to get

  619. into the water

  620. and get back

  621. the use of

  622. his legs.

  623. Do you know

  624. why Jesus

  625. healed him

  626. on the

  627. Sabbath?

  628. Do you know

  629. why Jesus

  630. didn't wait

  631. until the

  632. next day?

  633. Because Jesus

  634. saw this

  635. nobody

  636. as a person

  637. and he

  638. loved him.

  639. He heard

  640. how long

  641. it had been

  642. and he had

  643. compassion on

  644. him

  645. like nobody

  646. else ever

  647. had.

  648. he felt

  649. that man's

  650. suffering

  651. in that

  652. moment as

  653. he talked

  654. with him

  655. there

  656. and because

  657. he was

  658. moved in

  659. his heart

  660. he decided

  661. to put an

  662. end to his

  663. suffering

  664. that day

  665. then and

  666. there

  667. and it

  668. happened to

  669. be the

  670. Sabbath day.

  671. I don't

  672. hear anybody

  673. else in the

  674. crowd standing

  675. up for that

  676. man

  677. except Jesus.

  678. The Pharisees

  679. cared nothing

  680. for him.

  681. They couldn't

  682. have cared

  683. less if he'd

  684. sat by the

  685. pool of

  686. Siloam for

  687. the rest of

  688. his life.

  689. Just let him

  690. lie there

  691. another day.

  692. Wait till

  693. tomorrow and

  694. then heal

  695. him.

  696. How sick

  697. is that?

  698. It's

  699. disgusting.

  700. And now

  701. they're trying

  702. to get

  703. Jesus killed

  704. for breaking

  705. the law

  706. by doing

  707. the most

  708. gracious

  709. and loving

  710. work of

  711. compassion

  712. on the

  713. wrong day

  714. of the

  715. week.

  716. Isn't it

  717. wonderful

  718. how Jesus

  719. exposes

  720. the disgusting

  721. hypocrisy

  722. of the

  723. religious

  724. leaders

  725. for what

  726. it is?

  727. Isn't it

  728. beautiful how

  729. he helps

  730. the people

  731. who are

  732. gathered there

  733. see that

  734. their version

  735. of being

  736. devoted to

  737. God

  738. is

  739. twisted

  740. and a

  741. sham.

  742. I don't

  743. hear anyone

  744. else in

  745. the crowd

  746. having the

  747. compassion

  748. or the

  749. courage

  750. to stand

  751. up for

  752. this poor

  753. man to

  754. the likes

  755. of the

  756. religious

  757. leaders.

  758. But I

  759. see Jesus

  760. crying out

  761. all by

  762. himself.

  763. With a

  764. lot more

  765. compassion

  766. than I

  767. have in

  768. my heart

  769. and the

  770. courage of

  771. a lion

  772. going head

  773. to head

  774. with those

  775. poisonous

  776. vipers

  777. there in

  778. the temple

  779. courts

  780. and yet in

  781. his humble

  782. and gentle

  783. humanity

  784. there's no

  785. one to

  786. defend him

  787. and eventually

  788. it will cost

  789. him his

  790. life.

  791. That's what

  792. I see here

  793. in this

  794. passage.

  795. That's

  796. something that

  797. captured my

  798. heart this

  799. week here.

  800. And it

  801. just makes

  802. me want to

  803. worship

  804. Jesus.

  805. Do you

  806. know him?

  807. Do you

  808. love him?

  809. Let's

  810. pray.

  811. Father in

  812. heaven thank

  813. you for

  814. sending your

  815. son.

  816. Lord Jesus

  817. thank you

  818. for coming.

  819. We give

  820. you praise

  821. because you

  822. are so

  823. unlike us.

  824. You are

  825. glorious.

  826. You are

  827. worthy of

  828. our worship.

  829. God

  830. we pray

  831. and ask

  832. that you

  833. would help

  834. us to

  835. continue to

  836. fall in

  837. love with

  838. you again

  839. and again

  840. and again

  841. that even

  842. this week

  843. we would

  844. see and

  845. learn more

  846. things about

  847. you that

  848. fill our

  849. hearts with

  850. joy and

  851. carry us

  852. forward but

  853. also that we

  854. would have

  855. those words

  856. ready to

  857. share with

  858. the people in

  859. our lives

  860. that need

  861. you

  862. desperately

  863. we pray

  864. this in

  865. Jesus name

  866. amen

  867. here.
