  1. Well, this morning we're continuing the story of Jesus, told by John.

  2. So if you have your Bible with you, you can open it up to John chapter 10.

    John 10 chapter mention

  3. John chapter 10.

    John 10 chapter mention

  4. We left Jesus last time at the temple in Jerusalem.

  5. The Jews had gathered around him there, and they were pressing him to make an outright claim to be the Messiah.

  6. And after saying a few things to them, Jesus did them one better.

  7. He said, I and the Father are one.

  8. And the Jews picked up stones in that moment and were ready to throw them at Jesus.

  9. Well, Jesus managed to stay their hands for a moment by asking them this question in John chapter 10, verse 32.

    John 10:32

  10. He said, I have shown you many good works from the Father.

  11. For which of these do you stone me?

  12. And their response was, we are not stoning you for any good work, they replied, but for blasphemy.

  13. Because you, a mere man, claim to be God.

  14. And I imagine that again, they're about ready to let the stones fly.

  15. But then Jesus manages to keep the conversation going.

  16. Verse 34.

  17. Jesus answered them,

  18. Is it not written in your law, I have said, you are gods?

  19. If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came, and scripture cannot be set aside,

  20. what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world?

  21. Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy?

  22. Because I said I am God's son.

  23. Now this is quite the response from Jesus.

  24. Basically, Jesus tells them that there is some precedent in the scripture for men being referred to as gods.

  25. And then Jesus argues from the lesser to the greater, and puts a bit of a contrast in there,

  26. and suggests that since they were called gods,

  27. though we'll see in a moment what kind of gods,

  28. how much more can we speak of the one true son of God,

  29. who has been set apart by the Father as being God,

  30. and it's not blasphemy.

  31. So let's explore this a little more.

  32. But before we do, let me just say this.

  33. There are some people out there who will say,

  34. Jesus never outright claimed to be God, or to be the Son of God.

  35. Well, if Jesus never meant to say that he was God,

  36. if he never meant to say that he was divine,

  37. now would be a perfect time to make that crystal clear.

  38. I mean, they're saying,

  39. we're stoning you for blasphemy,

  40. because you, being a man, claim to be God.

  41. If Jesus had never intended to say that,

  42. he could simply have said,

  43. I'm not claiming to be God.

  44. I'm not claiming to be divine.

  45. From our human perspective,

  46. that would be the easiest way to ease the tension of this moment,

  47. and see the stones drop to the ground.

  48. But Jesus doesn't say that,

  49. because it's not true.

  50. The Jews are right about one thing.

  51. What Jesus has said here,

  52. it amounts to,

  53. it is claiming to be divine,

  54. to be God.

  55. And Jesus doesn't backtrack,

  56. not one bit.

  57. He doesn't say,

  58. well,

  59. I said I and the Father are one,

  60. but what I really meant,

  61. no.

  62. He goes the other way.

  63. What he says here amounts to,

  64. yes,

  65. I am claiming to be the divine Son of God,

  66. and it's not blasphemy in my case,

  67. because it's true.

  68. So let's look at this in a little more detail.

  69. The first thing Jesus does,

  70. is quote from Psalm 82.

  71. He says,

  72. is it not written in your law,

  73. I have said,

  74. you are gods.

  75. Let's go back to Psalm 82,

  76. and look at that.

  77. If you want to turn there in your Bible,

  78. you're welcome to.

  79. I'll have it on the screen as well.

  80. It's a short psalm.

  81. We'll read the whole thing.

  82. It's only eight verses.

  83. A psalm of Asaph.

  84. God presides in the great assembly.

  85. He renders judgment among the gods.

  86. How long will you defend the unjust,

  87. and show partiality to the wicked?

  88. Defend the weak and the fatherless.

  89. Uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.

  90. Rescue the weak and the needy.

  91. Deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

  92. The gods know nothing.

  93. They understand nothing.

  94. They walk about in darkness.

  95. All the foundations of the earth are shaken.

  96. I said,

  97. you are gods.

  98. You are all sons of the Most High.

  99. But you will die like mere mortals.

  100. You will fall like every other ruler.

  101. Rise up, O God.

  102. Judge the earth.

  103. For all the nations are your inheritance.

  104. So, it's an interesting little psalm from long ago.

  105. And what do we notice about the gods that are referred to here?

  106. Well, in verse 1 it says that God renders judgment among them.

  107. He renders judgment among the gods.

  108. And our first wondering is, well, what gods is he talking about?

  109. Is he talking about false gods?

  110. Or so-called gods?

  111. Is he talking about those who people would refer to as gods?

  112. Like the ancient pagan gods.

  113. Baal.

  114. Dagon.

  115. Asherah.

  116. Ra.

  117. And if he is referring to these pagan gods,

  118. how does he render judgment among them?

  119. Are each of these so-called gods merely idols?

  120. Whose existence is just a figment of people's imagination?

  121. Or do each of these gods refer to actual beings?

  122. Perhaps fallen angels who've been masquerading as gods

  123. and trying to steal worship away from the one true God.

  124. Now, there are passages that could maybe tip us in either direction.

  125. But as we continue to read this psalm,

  126. I think we see that Asaph takes us in a third direction.

  127. One maybe we wouldn't have considered at first.

  128. So what else does this psalm right here tell us about these gods?

  129. Verses 2 to 4.

  130. How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked?

  131. Defend the weak and the fatherless.

  132. Uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.

  133. Rescue the weak and the needy.

  134. Deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

  135. These verses seem to describe the judgment that God renders among them.

  136. His verdict against the gods.

  137. They're guilty of something.

  138. They're guilty of defending the unjust.

  139. Of showing partiality to the wicked.

  140. And then God, speaking through Asaph, seems to exhort these gods to stop doing that.

  141. And instead to start doing what is right.

  142. To defend the weak and the fatherless.

  143. To uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.

  144. So we see here that these gods are guilty.

  145. They've been doing things that are wrong.

  146. Which means that they're definitely real beings that he's talking about here.

  147. Then on to verse 5.

  148. He says,

  149. The gods know nothing.

  150. They understand nothing.

  151. They walk about in darkness.

  152. All the foundations of the earth are shaken.

  153. So not only are these gods guilty.

  154. But they're also ignorant.

  155. Maybe even foolish or blind.

  156. They know nothing.

  157. Says Asaph.

  158. They lack understanding.

  159. They lack true wisdom and true knowledge.

  160. And then finally we come to verse 6.

  161. The part of the psalm that Jesus quoted.

  162. I said,

  163. You are gods.

  164. You are all sons of the most high.

  165. But you will die like mere mortals.

  166. You will fall like every other ruler.

  167. Now there are several different views of who these gods are.

  168. Some people see them as fallen angels.

  169. And they have some pretty good observations and supporting passages which seem to fit with that.

  170. Others see them as men.

  171. Specifically corrupt leaders or officials in Israel.

  172. And I think this understanding fits just a little bit better.

  173. I won't get into all the reasons.

  174. But I think when Asaph refers to them as gods,

  175. he does so in a bit of a tongue-in-cheek fashion.

  176. He's being a little bit facetious or sarcastic.

  177. These are corrupt men who conceive of themselves as being gods,

  178. as being sons of the most high,

  179. the untouchables,

  180. the all-powerfuls in the land.

  181. And yet the truth,

  182. which comes from the Lord's judgment,

  183. is that they know nothing.

  184. They walk about in darkness.

  185. They can't even see what's coming for them.

  186. And even though they think themselves to be gods,

  187. to be untouchable,

  188. Asaph says they will die

  189. just like men do.

  190. They will fall

  191. just like all the other rulers

  192. of earth do

  193. eventually.

  194. The psalm ends with Asaph

  195. calling on God

  196. to bring about

  197. the judgment that they deserve.

  198. Rise up, O God.

  199. Judge the earth.

  200. For all the nations

  201. are your inheritance.

  202. There is in here a plea

  203. for the Lord to

  204. make things right.

  205. Put these gods

  206. in their place.

  207. So now we come back

  208. to what Jesus said.

  209. And I'll read it again.

  210. Back in John chapter 10,

    John 10:34

  211. verse 34.

  212. Is it not written in your law,

  213. I have said,

  214. you are gods.

  215. If he called them gods

  216. to whom the word of God came,

  217. and scripture cannot be set aside,

  218. what about the one

  219. whom the Father set apart

  220. as his very own

  221. and sent into the world?

  222. Why then do you accuse me

  223. of blasphemy

  224. because I said,

  225. I am God's son?

  226. So Jesus is basically saying

  227. there is some precedent

  228. in the scriptures

  229. for men

  230. being referred to

  231. as gods.

  232. Long ago,

  233. God spoke through Asaph

  234. and called the corrupt

  235. leaders of Israel

  236. gods.

  237. He even called them

  238. sons of the Most High

  239. or translation,

  240. sons of God.

  241. But there's a big difference

  242. between those corrupt leaders

  243. of Israel

  244. of Israel

  245. who think that they are

  246. untouchable,

  247. hint, hint,

  248. and the one whom God

  249. has specially set apart

  250. for himself

  251. and sent into the world.

  252. Jesus is setting up

  253. a brilliant contrast here.

  254. He's not saying,

  255. well,

  256. they were truly divine

  257. back then

  258. and so am I.

  259. No.

  260. He's not saying that.

  261. Rather,

  262. he's inviting them

  263. to reflect

  264. on those men

  265. in Psalm 82,

  266. those gods,

  267. and see that actually

  268. they were not.

  269. look at their works.

  270. Look at what they did.

  271. They were corrupt.

  272. They were unjust.

  273. They were partial

  274. to the wicked.

  275. They were blind

  276. and their fate

  277. was not that of a true God.

  278. Their fate,

  279. they died just like

  280. every other man dies.

  281. They fell just like

  282. every other ruler falls.

  283. And so it's clear

  284. in that Psalm

  285. where God speaks

  286. of them as gods

  287. that they are not gods.

  288. It's clear that

  289. their conception

  290. of themselves,

  291. those men back

  292. in Psalm 82

  293. was blasphemous

  294. and false.

  295. But will you

  296. now accuse me,

  297. says Jesus,

  298. the one whom

  299. the Father

  300. has specially set apart

  301. for himself

  302. and sent into the world

  303. of blasphemy

  304. because I claim

  305. to be

  306. the Son of God.

  307. It really is brilliant

  308. what Jesus has done

  309. and said here.

  310. He's pushing them

  311. to acknowledge

  312. that there are

  313. two different categories.

  314. There are those

  315. who claim to be God

  316. like those in Psalm 82

  317. and obviously

  318. the title does not fit.

  319. And then

  320. there is the one

  321. whom the Father

  322. has specially chosen

  323. and set apart

  324. and sent into the world.

  325. He comes also

  326. claiming to be

  327. a Son of God,

  328. the Son of God.

  329. and will you accuse him

  330. of blasphemy?

  331. In the case of those

  332. corrupt rulers

  333. of Israel long ago,

  334. it was obvious.

  335. Look at their works.

  336. Look at their behavior.

  337. Did the title of

  338. gods

  339. or sons of God

  340. fit

  341. for them?

  342. Obviously not.

  343. but now

  344. look at the works

  345. that I do

  346. says Jesus

  347. and does the title

  348. fit me?

  349. Verse 37

  350. Do not believe me

  351. says Jesus

  352. unless I do

  353. the works

  354. of my Father.

  355. If I'm like them

  356. in Psalm 82

  357. don't believe me

  358. says Jesus.

  359. Don't listen

  360. to what I'm saying.

  361. Don't take me seriously.

  362. But if I'm not like them

  363. and instead

  364. I do the works

  365. of my Father,

  366. the works of God,

  367. believe me.

  368. In the case of Jesus

  369. it's so obvious.

  370. Look at his works.

  371. The grace

  372. and the goodness

  373. the kindness

  374. and the compassion

  375. the miracles

  376. the signs

  377. the wonders

  378. the sick

  379. healed

  380. the injured

  381. and diseased

  382. restored

  383. the corruption

  384. and the wickedness

  385. of people's hearts

  386. exposed

  387. the people

  388. in the wilderness

  389. provided for

  390. the raging

  391. storm

  392. calmed

  393. the call

  394. to repent

  395. and turn to God

  396. proclaimed

  397. the call

  398. to live righteously

  399. and love God

  400. with all your heart

  401. declared

  402. help

  403. for the widows

  404. for the outcast

  405. and the oppressed

  406. given

  407. all things

  408. that God did

  409. throughout the Old Testament

  410. time and time again

  411. Jesus does the exact

  412. same things

  413. and therefore

  414. the title of God

  415. and Son of God

  416. fits

  417. perfectly

  418. it's not

  419. blasphemy

  420. because Jesus

  421. is the one

  422. specially

  423. set apart

  424. by the Father

  425. and sent

  426. into the world

  427. from heaven

  428. the divine

  429. Son

  430. and Jesus

  431. continues to plead

  432. with them

  433. that they might

  434. see it

  435. that they might

  436. have a change

  437. of heart

  438. and recognize

  439. just who he is

  440. he says

  441. in the next verse

  442. but if I do them

  443. if I do the works

  444. of my Father

  445. even though you

  446. don't believe me

  447. believe the works

  448. that you may know

  449. and understand

  450. that the Father

  451. is in me

  452. and I

  453. in the Father

  454. look at the evidence

  455. of the works

  456. I'm doing

  457. says Jesus

  458. there's a path

  459. here

  460. right now

  461. they have an aversion

  462. to Jesus

  463. they don't believe

  464. in him

  465. they are not

  466. his sheep

  467. and yet

  468. Jesus

  469. is aiming

  470. to draw

  471. their attention

  472. yet again

  473. to the things

  474. that he has been

  475. doing

  476. to his works

  477. he says

  478. believe the works

  479. there's something

  480. about the works

  481. of Jesus

  482. which if people

  483. will really

  484. just look

  485. at them

  486. and consider

  487. them

  488. may lead

  489. to a change

  490. of mind

  491. about who

  492. Jesus is

  493. this is why

  494. it's so critical

  495. that when we

  496. preach the good

  497. news of Jesus

  498. we preach

  499. the whole good

  500. news of Jesus

  501. not just his

  502. death

  503. and resurrection

  504. and ascension

  505. but also

  506. everything that he

  507. did in his life

  508. his works

  509. these words

  510. make me think

  511. again of

  512. Nicodemus

  513. Nicodemus

  514. had to come

  515. and see Jesus

  516. because even

  517. though

  518. Jesus knew

  519. that he didn't

  520. believe at first

  521. there was

  522. just something

  523. about these

  524. things that

  525. Jesus was

  526. doing

  527. that kept

  528. nagging at

  529. him

  530. I don't want

  531. to put words

  532. in Nicodemus

  533. mouth

  534. but it was

  535. almost as if

  536. he was saying

  537. I hate to

  538. admit this

  539. to you

  540. Jesus

  541. but we know

  542. that you are

  543. a teacher

  544. who has

  545. come from

  546. God

  547. for no one

  548. could perform

  549. the signs

  550. that you are

  551. doing

  552. if God

  553. were not

  554. with him

  555. sometimes we

  556. get all

  557. focused on

  558. Christian

  559. apologetics

  560. or Christian

  561. philosophical

  562. arguments

  563. or theological

  564. arguments

  565. but I believe

  566. that the greatest

  567. apologetic of all

  568. is simply to do

  569. what Jesus did

  570. right here

  571. and say

  572. to someone

  573. even though

  574. you

  575. don't believe

  576. in Jesus

  577. you've made

  578. that clear

  579. what about

  580. the things

  581. that Jesus

  582. did

  583. how do you

  584. explain

  585. those miracles

  586. how did

  587. he do

  588. that

  589. what about

  590. the undeniable

  591. goodness

  592. and kindness

  593. of Jesus

  594. that's woven

  595. through all

  596. the things

  597. that he

  598. did

  599. will you

  600. look at

  601. that

  602. one more

  603. time

  604. read the

  605. story

  606. of Jesus

  607. again

  608. how could

  609. a deceiver

  610. or a

  611. common

  612. man

  613. be so

  614. selfless

  615. how could

  616. an insane

  617. man

  618. do these

  619. kinds

  620. of

  621. things

  622. do you

  623. have loved

  624. ones

  625. who do

  626. not

  627. believe

  628. maybe

  629. who

  630. have even

  631. expressed

  632. to you

  633. that they

  634. don't

  635. believe

  636. in

  637. Jesus

  638. maybe

  639. who

  640. have

  641. even

  642. expressed

  643. that

  644. with

  645. a bit

  646. of

  647. hostility

  648. or even

  649. anger

  650. I want to

  651. encourage you

  652. this morning

  653. don't give

  654. up on

  655. them

  656. don't write

  657. them off

  658. encourage

  659. them yet

  660. again to

  661. read the

  662. story of

  663. Jesus

  664. for

  665. themselves

  666. tell them

  667. what you

  668. see

  669. that's so

  670. beautiful

  671. and glorious

  672. about

  673. Jesus

  674. maybe

  675. they'll

  676. misrepresent

  677. Jesus

  678. or

  679. mischaracterize

  680. Jesus

  681. take that

  682. opportunity

  683. to say

  684. that's not

  685. what I

  686. see

  687. in the

  688. Bible

  689. there was

  690. that one

  691. time that

  692. Jesus did

  693. this and

  694. look at

  695. the kind

  696. of person

  697. he is

  698. and what

  699. he did

  700. he's not

  701. like that

  702. there is a

  703. path here

  704. for the

  705. unbelieving

  706. for people

  707. to go

  708. from those

  709. who do

  710. not believe

  711. maybe are

  712. even ready

  713. to throw

  714. the stone

  715. to knowing

  716. and understanding

  717. the truth

  718. about Jesus

  719. and that

  720. path begins

  721. with a

  722. call and

  723. a plea

  724. for people

  725. to look

  726. again at

  727. the works

  728. of Jesus

  729. at what

  730. he did

  731. as he

  732. walked and

  733. lived among

  734. us

  735. if I do

  736. the works

  737. of my

  738. father

  739. he said

  740. even though

  741. you do

  742. not believe

  743. me

  744. believe

  745. the works

  746. that you

  747. may know

  748. and understand

  749. that the

  750. father is

  751. in me

  752. and I

  753. in the

  754. father

  755. this is

  756. another

  757. astounding

  758. statement

  759. from Jesus

  760. which confirms

  761. that

  762. Jesus is

  763. not backing

  764. down in the

  765. least with

  766. what he's

  767. claiming

  768. he said

  769. earlier

  770. I and

  771. the father

  772. are one

  773. and he

  774. meant it

  775. this is

  776. just another

  777. way of

  778. saying the

  779. same thing

  780. my father

  781. is in

  782. me

  783. God is

  784. in me

  785. I am

  786. in my

  787. father

  788. it's difficult

  789. to say much

  790. more about

  791. that what

  792. Jesus means

  793. when he

  794. says it

  795. but maybe

  796. we could

  797. say it

  798. like this

  799. in this

  800. man

  801. Jesus

  802. God

  803. the

  804. Lord

  805. Yahweh

  806. is here

  807. he walks

  808. among us

  809. he speaks

  810. to us

  811. he does

  812. works

  813. among us

  814. the father

  815. is in me

  816. and I

  817. am in

  818. the father

  819. and the

  820. response of

  821. the people

  822. is this

  823. again

  824. they tried

  825. to seize

  826. him

  827. but he

  828. escaped

  829. their grasp

  830. then Jesus

  831. went back

  832. across the

  833. Jordan

  834. to the

  835. place where

  836. John had

  837. been baptizing

  838. in the early

  839. days

  840. there he

  841. stayed

  842. and many

  843. people came

  844. to him

  845. they said

  846. though John

  847. never performed

  848. a sign

  849. all that John

  850. said about

  851. this man

  852. was true

  853. and in that

  854. place

  855. many

  856. believed in

  857. Jesus

  858. so yet again

  859. we see a

  860. mixed response

  861. some try to

  862. seize Jesus

  863. as in

  864. grab him

  865. arrest him

  866. but he

  867. slips away

  868. and it's

  869. now time

  870. for Jesus

  871. to put

  872. some distance

  873. in between

  874. himself

  875. and them

  876. and so

  877. John tells

  878. us that

  879. he heads

  880. east

  881. out of

  882. Jerusalem

  883. all the

  884. way across

  885. the Jordan

  886. River

  887. to the

  888. place where

  889. John had

  890. been baptizing

  891. in the

  892. earlier days

  893. so not

  894. only some

  895. distance

  896. but also

  897. some

  898. geographical

  899. barrier

  900. with the

  901. river

  902. between

  903. where Jesus

  904. is and

  905. these Jews

  906. who are so

  907. hostile to

  908. him

  909. and while

  910. Jesus is

  911. out of

  912. their reach

  913. we get

  914. some good

  915. news here

  916. there were

  917. many who

  918. had been

  919. listening to

  920. Jesus

  921. hearing what

  922. he had been

  923. saying

  924. and they

  925. actually went

  926. out looking

  927. for him

  928. and went

  929. to him

  930. they came

  931. to the

  932. place where

  933. he was

  934. on the

  935. other side

  936. of the

  937. Jordan

  938. and it

  939. says that

  940. many

  941. believed

  942. in Jesus

  943. in that

  944. place

  945. we don't

  946. know for

  947. sure

  948. but perhaps

  949. some of

  950. them had

  951. even been

  952. there in

  953. the temple

  954. courts

  955. this day

  956. maybe

  957. even some

  958. of them

  959. had had a

  960. stone in

  961. their hands

  962. but heard

  963. what Jesus

  964. said that

  965. day and

  966. realized there's

  967. something not

  968. right

  969. he's right

  970. look at the

  971. things he's

  972. been doing

  973. healing the

  974. blind

  975. the sick

  976. flipping the

  977. tables and

  978. driving the

  979. sellers out

  980. of the

  981. marketplace

  982. sellers out

  983. of the

  984. temple

  985. courts

  986. he is a

  987. good man

  988. is it

  989. possible that

  990. what he's

  991. saying is

  992. true that

  993. he really

  994. is divine

  995. God here

  996. among us

  997. the true

  998. son of

  999. God

  1000. what do we

  1001. take from

  1002. all this

  1003. I think

  1004. it's a good

  1005. reminder that

  1006. we ourselves

  1007. never really

  1008. know just

  1009. where people

  1010. are at in

  1011. their hearts

  1012. we don't

  1013. really know

  1014. why they're

  1015. resisting or

  1016. rejecting the

  1017. truth of who

  1018. Jesus is

  1019. why they get

  1020. angry or upset

  1021. if we try to

  1022. share with

  1023. them

  1024. but if

  1025. Jesus pleaded

  1026. with them

  1027. like this

  1028. even as the

  1029. stones are in

  1030. their hands

  1031. and reasoned

  1032. with them

  1033. then we

  1034. should too

  1035. we shouldn't

  1036. grow weary

  1037. or be

  1038. discouraged

  1039. with trying

  1040. to share

  1041. the good

  1042. news

  1043. with our

  1044. unbelieving

  1045. friends

  1046. family

  1047. neighbors

  1048. co-workers

  1049. whatever the

  1050. cost

  1051. will it

  1052. not be

  1053. worth it

  1054. if because

  1055. of what

  1056. you say

  1057. to them

  1058. they say

  1059. huh

  1060. and they

  1061. go back

  1062. into the

  1063. scriptures

  1064. and they

  1065. read

  1066. and they

  1067. look at the

  1068. works of

  1069. Jesus

  1070. and they

  1071. huh

  1072. and believe

  1073. and are

  1074. saved

  1075. will it

  1076. not be

  1077. worth it

  1078. is it

  1079. not worth

  1080. risking

  1081. the relationship

  1082. for that

  1083. so let's not

  1084. give up on our

  1085. unbelieving friends

  1086. and family

  1087. and co-workers

  1088. and neighbors

  1089. no matter how

  1090. resistant or

  1091. antagonistic

  1092. they seem

  1093. let's just

  1094. keep pointing

  1095. people

  1096. gently

  1097. graciously

  1098. humbly

  1099. to the words

  1100. and the works

  1101. of Jesus

  1102. because it's

  1103. there that

  1104. they may yet

  1105. come to see

  1106. the truth

  1107. and believe

  1108. and be saved

  1109. let's pray

  1110. father in

  1111. heaven

  1112. thank you

  1113. for

  1114. these

  1115. words

  1116. we

  1117. tremble

  1118. at the

  1119. thought

  1120. that

  1121. your

  1122. son

  1123. was

  1124. almost

  1125. stoned

  1126. in this

  1127. moment

  1128. and that

  1129. at the

  1130. same

  1131. time

  1132. he was

  1133. revealing

  1134. so

  1135. fully

  1136. so

  1137. truly

  1138. who

  1139. he

  1140. is

  1141. i pray

  1142. lord

  1143. that

  1144. none

  1145. of us

  1146. would

  1147. grow

  1148. weary

  1149. of

  1150. trying

  1151. to

  1152. share

  1153. the

  1154. good

  1155. news

  1156. of

  1157. jesus

  1158. that

  1159. people

  1160. need

  1161. to

  1162. hear

  1163. and

  1164. maybe

  1165. if

  1166. we

  1167. have

  1168. lord

  1169. i

  1170. pray

  1171. that

  1172. you

  1173. would

  1174. renew

  1175. the

  1176. desire

  1177. to

  1178. to

  1179. to

  1180. speak

  1181. out

  1182. to

  1183. have

  1184. courage

  1185. would

  1186. you

  1187. put

  1188. names

  1189. of

  1190. people

  1191. in

  1192. our

  1193. minds

  1194. this

  1195. week

  1196. and

  1197. ready

  1198. us

  1199. and

  1200. prepare

  1201. us

  1202. for

  1203. conversations

  1204. would

  1205. you

  1206. draw

  1207. our

  1208. attention

  1209. to

  1210. those

  1211. things

  1212. in

  1213. the

  1214. gospel

  1215. that

  1216. we

  1217. most

  1218. need

  1219. to

  1220. highlight

  1221. to

  1222. people

  1223. as

  1224. those

  1225. conversations

  1226. come

  1227. up

  1228. so

  1229. that

  1230. people

  1231. might

  1232. be

  1233. saved

  1234. and

  1235. so

  1236. that

  1237. you

  1238. might

  1239. be

  1240. glorified

  1241. in

  1242. us

  1243. we

  1244. ask

  1245. this

  1246. in

  1247. Christ

  1248. precious

  1249. name

  1250. amen
