  1. Oh, great triune God, we come to you this morning confessing that Jesus is our Lord.

  2. Would you show us Christ this morning from Psalm 62?

  3. God, would you remind us again and again that you are our unshakable God?

  4. And that you've made an unshakable commitment to us in Christ.

  5. Therefore, we will not be shaken.

  6. God, we need your help.

  7. Spirit of the living God, would you fall afresh upon us?

  8. Would you make us a people passionate for your glory, humble, trusting, resting in you?

  9. We pray this in the name of Jesus.

  10. Amen.

  11. Amen.

  12. Amen.

  13. Children, you may now go to your class.

  14. And as you're going to your class, I just want to take a moment, in a spirit of thanksgiving,

  15. to recognize two newlyweds.

  16. They got married about a week ago.

  17. Mr. and Mrs. Tyler Olson.

  18. And just kind of stand up and say hi, if you would.

  19. Praise God.

  20. Well, we're going to be looking at Psalm 62 this morning.

  21. And if you would open up your Bibles, there are two pew Bibles.

  22. The white one, page 409.

  23. The blue one, page 898.

  24. If you've got another kind of Bible, just open it up right in the middle, and you're probably in Psalms.

  25. Psalm 62.

  26. We all get shaken.

  27. When you lose someone you love, and there is a gaping hole in your life, that can shake you up.

  28. When you're personally attacked, that can shake you up.

  29. And that's what's happening in Psalm 62.

  30. David is being personally attacked.

  31. We see that in verses 3 and 4.

  32. That can shake you up.

  33. When you come to terms with your own mortality, when you come to terms with your own limited health, that can shake you up.

  34. When you are confronted with an unexpected thing, whether that's an expense maybe, or a job change, relational change, changes in a church, that can shake you up.

  35. Most of us are prone to being shaken.

  36. And to be shaken is to get pushed out of your comfort zone.

  37. To get pushed out of what is normally solid and secure.

  38. It exposes what you put your trust in.

  39. God uses shake-ups for our good.

  40. And in Psalm 62, what we see David doing is he's responding to being personally attacked.

  41. He's getting shook a little bit.

  42. And why this is so helpful for us today is seeing how he responds to it.

  43. David doesn't turn to man.

  44. He doesn't turn to money.

  45. He doesn't turn to his own power.

  46. He turns to his God.

  47. He's experiencing a kind of heat.

  48. A kind of hardship.

  49. And David responds by entrusting his heart to his God.

  50. Sending his roots out to living water.

  51. And this morning, if you've come here and you've been shaken,

  52. I want to point you to two unshakable truths from Psalm 62.

  53. Two unshakable truths to set your shaky heart upon so that you're not greatly shaken.

  54. So let me read Psalm 62.

  55. For God alone my soul waits in silence.

  56. From Him comes my salvation.

  57. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress.

  58. I shall not be shaken.

  59. How long will all of you attack a man to batter him like a leaning wall, a tottering fence?

  60. They only plan to thrust him down from his high position.

  61. They take pleasure in falsehood.

  62. They bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse.

  63. For God alone, oh my soul, wait in silence.

  64. For my hope is from Him.

  65. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress.

  66. I shall not be shaken.

  67. On God rests my salvation and my glory.

  68. My mighty rock, my refuge is God.

  69. Trust in Him at all times, oh people.

  70. Pour out your heart before Him.

  71. God is a refuge for us.

  72. Those of low estate are but a breath.

  73. Those of high estate are a delusion.

  74. In the balances they go up, they are together lighter than a breath.

  75. Put no trust in extortion.

  76. Set no vain hopes on robbery.

  77. If riches increase, set not your heart on them.

  78. Once God has spoken, twice have I heard this,

  79. that power belongs to God.

  80. And that to you, oh Lord, belongs steadfast love.

  81. For you will render a man according to his work.

  82. What we see in Psalm 62 is David responding to heat.

  83. When shaken, David set his shaky heart on his unshakable God.

  84. He doesn't turn anywhere else.

  85. He alone focuses on God.

  86. We see a progress actually between verse 2 and verse 6.

  87. He goes from not being greatly shaken to not being shaken.

  88. Progress.

  89. Progress.

  90. So for us, when we get shaken,

  91. we must set our shaky hearts on our unshakable God.

  92. And so, two things.

  93. Two unshakable truths for you this morning.

  94. If you're feeling a little shook up,

  95. these are for you.

  96. They have served me so well.

  97. Two unshakable truths to get your heart on.

  98. First one is this.

  99. God is unshakable.

  100. God is unshakable.

  101. God is unshakable.

  102. He is immovable.

  103. Nothing shakes our God.

  104. Did you notice there is a repeated refrain?

  105. Look at verses 1 and 2.

  106. For God alone my soul waits in silence.

  107. From him comes my salvation.

  108. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress.

  109. I shall not be greatly shaken.

  110. And then in verse 5 and 6.

  111. For God alone my soul, O my soul, wait in silence.

  112. For my hope is from him.

  113. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress.

  114. I shall not be shaken.

  115. They're very similar, aren't they?

  116. They're very similar in what they say and how they say it.

  117. And they're very personal.

  118. Did you notice all the my's?

  119. My rock, my salvation, my fortress, my refuge, my hope.

  120. David is waiting on God.

  121. He's resting in his God.

  122. He's experiencing hardship and it's got the potential of throwing him.

  123. And so he turns to his God.

  124. So what does he do?

  125. He calls to mind three specific things about God.

  126. God is a rock.

  127. God is salvation.

  128. God is his fortress.

  129. God is unshakable because he is an unchanging rock.

  130. God is unshakable because he is unstoppable in his salvation.

  131. God is unshakable because he is an indestructible fortress for those who love him.

  132. I want to help you see how God as our rock, salvation, and fortress helps us to set our hearts on a God that is unshakable.

  133. When David says, my rock, what is he referring to?

  134. Well, he's referring to his God.

  135. His unchanging rock.

  136. Back in the mid-70s, there were these things called pet rocks.

  137. I was alive then, believe it or not.

  138. And these pet rocks were these little smooth stones and they had faces painted on them or glued on them.

  139. And what you would do is you would take this pet rock as your own and you'd carry it with you or put it in a place where you would take care of your pet rock.

  140. And the idea is your pet rock depended on you.

  141. When David says, my rock, he's not speaking of God as his pet rock.

  142. He's not talking about God as though God needs him.

  143. As though God is dependent on him.

  144. David is saying that God, you are my rock.

  145. I need you.

  146. I need you to carry me.

  147. I need you to care for me.

  148. What David has in mind here is a massive boulder.

  149. That provides refuge in danger.

  150. We see the connection between rock and refuge in Psalm 61.

  151. And so if you just glance over to Psalm 61 verses 2 and 3, you read,

    Psalms 61:2

  152. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I, for you have been my refuge.

  153. Rock, refuge.

  154. God is David's rock.

  155. God is David's refuge.

  156. And so when you get shook, you want something solid to hold on to.

  157. You want to find refuge.

  158. You want solid ground to stand on.

  159. You want to know what you can count on.

  160. And so what God is saying here is this.

  161. I am your unchanging rock.

  162. I'm your solid.

  163. You can count on me.

  164. You can trust me.

  165. I am unchanging.

  166. The fancy word for unchanging is immutable.

  167. No mutating.

  168. No changing.

  169. Malachi 3.6

  170. For I the Lord do not change.

  171. Unchanging rock.

  172. The triune God of the Bible does not change.

  173. Each member of the Trinity does not change.

  174. We read in Hebrews 13.8,

  175. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

  176. Revelation 1.8

  177. Jesus, the risen Christ,

  178. I am the Alpha and Omega,

  179. who is and who was and who is to come,

  180. the Almighty.

  181. God is our unchanging God.

  182. The triune God of the Bible

  183. is our great unchanging rock.

  184. He is where we find our refuge.

  185. He is where we set our feet.

  186. We are secure in Him.

  187. He's our solid.

  188. Christ is our unchanging rock.

  189. Our God is unshakable.

  190. He's immovable.

  191. He's worthy of our trust.

  192. David just doesn't say God is...

  193. He's not just saying my rock.

  194. He says something else.

  195. He says that God is my salvation.

  196. God is our unstoppable salvation.

  197. In Psalm 62,

  198. again, David is waiting on God

  199. to deliver him,

  200. to rescue him from the danger he was facing.

  201. He looks to God for deliverance.

  202. So must we.

  203. When we get shook,

  204. we've got to call to mind

  205. that God is our salvation.

  206. He's our deliverer.

  207. He's unstoppable in it.

  208. No one can stay His hand.

  209. He's able to bring us through hardship.

  210. Look with me at Psalm 62,

  211. the last two verses,

  212. verses 11 and 12.

  213. Once God has spoken,

  214. twice have I heard this.

  215. That might kind of sound unusual to you.

  216. That's just kind of a Hebrew way

  217. of calling your attention to something.

  218. This is important.

  219. Once God has spoken,

  220. twice have I heard this,

  221. that power belongs to God

  222. and that to you, O Lord,

  223. belongs steadfast love.

  224. Power belongs to God.

  225. God is omnipotent.

  226. Unlimited in His power.

  227. But what we need to see here

  228. is power for what?

  229. Power to save.

  230. Power to deliver.

  231. Power to rescue.

  232. A really clear way to see that

  233. is when Israel

  234. is moving out of Egypt

  235. and they're on their way

  236. and they've got their backs

  237. put against the Red Sea.

  238. Do you remember this?

  239. Do you remember what God does

  240. in a show of His power?

  241. He divides the Red Sea.

  242. He separates the Red Sea

  243. and His people walk through.

  244. It's a display of power

  245. towards deliverance.

  246. Towards salvation.

  247. Power belongs to God.

  248. And then we also read,

  249. to you, O Lord,

  250. belongs steadfast love.

  251. When we see that,

  252. it's God's loyal love.

  253. His devotion to do good

  254. to His own.

  255. And what we see David doing

  256. is coupling God's power

  257. and His steadfast love.

  258. God leverages His power

  259. for the good of His people

  260. because He loves them.

  261. And He delivers them.

  262. And so He opens up the Red Sea

  263. to deliver His people from danger

  264. because He loves them.

  265. To bring Him to Himself.

  266. You know,

  267. there's no clearer place

  268. to see this coupling of power

  269. and love

  270. than in the cross of Jesus Christ.

  271. At the cross

  272. and through His resurrection,

  273. Jesus wins the victory

  274. over sin and death.

  275. And He does it in His power

  276. out of love for us,

  277. those He would save.

  278. What the dividing of the Red Sea shows

  279. is that God exercises His power

  280. out of love for His people

  281. to save them.

  282. And what the cross of Christ shows

  283. is that God exercises His power

  284. for those He loves

  285. to deliver them,

  286. to rescue them.

  287. Nobody can stop

  288. God's power to save

  289. and to rescue.

  290. Nobody.

  291. You know,

  292. there is an interesting word here.

  293. The word salvation in Hebrew,

  294. it's the word Yeshua.

  295. And when used,

  296. it's used to name people.

  297. Joshua

  298. is the word,

  299. this word salvation

  300. applied to a person.

  301. That's His name.

  302. And I don't know if you know this,

  303. but it's also the name Jesus.

  304. Jesus is a translation of Joshua.

  305. God saves.

  306. And in light of Christmas,

  307. do you remember Matthew 1?

  308. An angel of the Lord appears to Joseph

  309. and says,

  310. Joseph, son of David,

  311. do not fear

  312. to take Mary as your wife

  313. for that which is conceived in her

  314. is from the Holy Spirit.

  315. She will bear a son

  316. and you shall call Him

  317. Jesus,

  318. Yeshua,

  319. for He will save His people

  320. from their sins.

  321. Jesus

  322. is God's power and love

  323. incarnate.

  324. Incarnate.

  325. Made flesh.

  326. He came to die

  327. and to be raised

  328. to deliver a people

  329. for Himself.

  330. God's deliverance

  331. of His people

  332. out of Egypt

  333. was unstoppable.

  334. And God's salvation

  335. of us

  336. through Jesus

  337. is unstoppable.

  338. What He began,

  339. He will carry

  340. on to completion

  341. until the day

  342. of Christ Jesus.

  343. He has,

  344. one sense,

  345. already saved us.

  346. He's forgiven us

  347. and justified us.

  348. In another sense,

  349. He is saving us.

  350. He's working out

  351. our salvation,

  352. making us holy.

  353. In another sense,

  354. He still will save us.

  355. There's a day

  356. where we will be glorified.

  357. Completely rid

  358. of our sinful nature.

  359. What a day that will be.

  360. He is unstoppable

  361. in carrying this out

  362. in His own.

  363. And yes,

  364. often that requires

  365. upheaval

  366. and pain

  367. and sin.

  368. but God uses it all

  369. for His good.

  370. For our good.

  371. For His glory.

  372. God is an unstoppable salvation.

  373. He is our unstoppable salvation.

  374. God

  375. is unshakable.

  376. And not only is

  377. He a rock,

  378. not only is He salvation,

  379. He is a fortress.

  380. Do you see what David says?

  381. My fortress?

  382. And not just any fortress.

  383. An indestructible fortress.

  384. Martin Luther

  385. penned a song,

  386. A mighty fortress

  387. is our God.

  388. You know the rest?

  389. A bulwark

  390. never failing.

  391. Let's try that again.

  392. A mighty fortress

  393. is our God.

  394. A bulwark

  395. never failing.

  396. God is our indestructible fortress.

  397. Unfailing!

  398. There was this ancient fortress

  399. still there

  400. in southern Israel.

  401. Not that I've been there personally.

  402. I've just seen pictures

  403. and read about it.

  404. It's called Masada.

  405. And Masada

  406. was this fortress

  407. built on this

  408. rock outcropping.

  409. It's like this

  410. island of rock

  411. coming out of the desert.

  412. And so

  413. 1300 foot

  414. sheer walls.

  415. Cliffs.

  416. And on top of that

  417. was built a fortress.

  418. 13 feet

  419. foot walls

  420. on top of that.

  421. Oh!

  422. Could you imagine

  423. trying to take that

  424. if you were an enemy army?

  425. It would have been

  426. a daunting fortress.

  427. But

  428. it eventually fell.

  429. Our God

  430. who is our fortress

  431. never fails

  432. His people.

  433. never fails.

  434. David is saying

  435. that God

  436. is His indestructible fortress

  437. high against

  438. His enemies.

  439. God can handle

  440. anything

  441. that David's enemies

  442. would throw against Him.

  443. Anything.

  444. Anything.

  445. Any besiegement.

  446. Any weapon.

  447. Anything.

  448. God was David's fortress.

  449. He would not be shaken by it.

  450. And by the way

  451. our greatest enemy

  452. the enemy of our soul

  453. the devil

  454. when Christ died

  455. and was raised

  456. from the dead

  457. the devil

  458. was defanged.

  459. He prowls around

  460. like a lion

  461. but he can

  462. have no

  463. eternal impact

  464. on us

  465. as God's people.

  466. God is our

  467. indestructible fortress.

  468. I was a little reluctant

  469. to use this

  470. but

  471. imagine God

  472. as a citadel

  473. atop of a granite mount.

  474. You know

  475. Mir Ashtereth

  476. from Lord of the Rings

  477. the great white city

  478. beautiful

  479. it's almost impregnable

  480. you have this

  481. sense of presence.

  482. God is our

  483. living fortress

  484. our living protection.

  485. I want you to think

  486. about God

  487. as our fortress

  488. and outside

  489. the main gate

  490. as we

  491. before we enter

  492. into

  493. through the portico

  494. there is something

  495. written

  496. on this fortress

  497. it's the name

  498. faithful and true

  499. our fortress

  500. is faithful and true

  501. that's our God

  502. and we walk in

  503. through the portico

  504. and we come underneath

  505. the main gate

  506. and we turn around

  507. and see what's written

  508. on the inside

  509. of the front gate

  510. and you know

  511. what's written

  512. on the inside

  513. of the front gate

  514. never will I leave you

  515. never will I forsake you

  516. God is our fortress

  517. indestructible

  518. think about it this way

  519. there's no threat

  520. bigger than God

  521. no

  522. he is the great

  523. I am

  524. he cannot be destroyed

  525. he's the creator

  526. and sustainer

  527. of all

  528. he is indestructible

  529. he's the giver

  530. of all life

  531. he is

  532. our indestructible

  533. fortress

  534. we have a living

  535. fortress

  536. in our God

  537. he is our defense

  538. and our protection

  539. he is our

  540. ever present help

  541. in time of trouble

  542. it's to him

  543. in whom we go

  544. and are safe

  545. God is our

  546. fortress

  547. he's unshakable

  548. in who he is

  549. and so when we get

  550. shook

  551. we put our shaky

  552. hearts

  553. on our

  554. indestructible

  555. fortress

  556. who always

  557. has our

  558. good in mind

  559. so

  560. this first

  561. truth

  562. that God

  563. is unshakable

  564. I've tried to help

  565. you see it

  566. because he's our

  567. unchanging rock

  568. unstoppable salvation

  569. an indestructible

  570. fortress

  571. our triune God

  572. is unshakable

  573. and we set

  574. our shaky

  575. hearts on him

  576. but there's a

  577. second

  578. unshakable

  579. truth

  580. that I really

  581. want you to see

  582. this morning

  583. it is

  584. super sweet

  585. it's

  586. really important

  587. and it is

  588. how can you

  589. know

  590. that God

  591. is

  592. your

  593. rock

  594. how can you

  595. know

  596. that God

  597. is your

  598. salvation

  599. that he

  600. is

  601. your

  602. fortress

  603. the second

  604. unshakable

  605. truth

  606. is this

  607. the first

  608. is God

  609. is unshakable

  610. the second

  611. is this

  612. God

  613. is

  614. unshakable

  615. in his

  616. commitment

  617. to you

  618. Christian

  619. unshakable

  620. immovable

  621. and to

  622. make the

  623. point

  624. I just

  625. want you

  626. to notice

  627. the word

  628. my

  629. in Psalm

  630. 62

  631. my

  632. for God

  633. alone

  634. my soul

  635. waits

  636. he's referring

  637. to his

  638. whole being

  639. he's putting

  640. his whole

  641. being

  642. resting it

  643. on his

  644. God

  645. but then

  646. he says

  647. he only

  648. is my

  649. rock

  650. my salvation

  651. my fortress

  652. look at

  653. verse 5

  654. my hope

  655. my rock

  656. my salvation

  657. my fortress

  658. verse 7

  659. my salvation

  660. my glory

  661. he's my

  662. reputation

  663. 7

  664. my mighty

  665. rock

  666. my refuge

  667. is God

  668. my oh my

  669. oh my

  670. there are a

  671. lot of

  672. my's here

  673. David

  674. apparently

  675. is pretty

  676. confident

  677. that his

  678. God

  679. is for

  680. him

  681. that God

  682. is for

  683. him

  684. how did

  685. David know

  686. that

  687. and can

  688. we tap

  689. into that

  690. ourselves

  691. well there's

  692. a couple

  693. reasons why

  694. David was

  695. this confident

  696. God had

  697. made a

  698. covenant

  699. with his

  700. people

  701. the Mosaic

  702. covenant

  703. but where I

  704. want you to

  705. see is

  706. back in your

  707. Bibles

  708. it's in

  709. 2 Samuel

  710. 2 Samuel

  711. 7

  712. God makes

  713. a very

  714. specific

  715. promise

  716. to David

  717. and I

  718. don't know

  719. if this

  720. was

  721. if Psalm

  722. 62

  723. was written

  724. before or

  725. after

  726. 2 Samuel

  727. 7

  728. but I

  729. want you

  730. to hold

  731. on to

  732. this

  733. nonetheless

  734. in 2 Samuel

  735. 7

  736. God makes

  737. a covenant

  738. with

  739. David

  740. it's a

  741. very unique

  742. covenant

  743. and so if you

  744. pick up in

  745. verse 14

  746. he says

  747. this

  748. now he's

  749. talking to

  750. Nathan

  751. the prophet

  752. who will

  753. relay this

  754. to David

  755. but he

  756. says this

  757. I

  758. God

  759. will be

  760. to him

  761. a father

  762. and he

  763. shall be

  764. to me

  765. a son

  766. referring

  767. to David

  768. when he

  769. commits

  770. iniquity

  771. I will

  772. discipline

  773. him

  774. with

  775. the

  776. rod

  777. of

  778. men

  779. with

  780. the

  781. stripes

  782. of

  783. the

  784. sons

  785. of

  786. men

  787. verse

  788. 15

  789. but my

  790. steadfast

  791. love

  792. will not

  793. depart

  794. from him

  795. as I

  796. took it

  797. from Saul

  798. whom I

  799. put away

  800. from before

  801. you

  802. verse

  803. 16

  804. and your

  805. house

  806. and your

  807. kingdom

  808. shall be

  809. made

  810. sure

  811. before

  812. me

  813. your

  814. throne

  815. shall

  816. be

  817. established

  818. forever

  819. what

  820. 2 Samuel

  821. 7

  822. is

  823. is a

  824. messianic

  825. promise

  826. that there's

  827. going to be

  828. a forever

  829. king

  830. that sits

  831. forever

  832. on David's

  833. throne

  834. and that

  835. forever

  836. king

  837. is going

  838. to set

  839. up

  840. an

  841. unshakable

  842. kingdom

  843. so what

  844. we see

  845. going on

  846. here

  847. is that

  848. David

  849. had a

  850. confidence

  851. that God

  852. would be

  853. unshakable

  854. in his

  855. commitment

  856. to him

  857. so that

  858. word

  859. my

  860. it's

  861. packed

  862. with David

  863. taking God

  864. at his

  865. word

  866. that his

  867. love would

  868. never depart

  869. from him

  870. and that

  871. promise

  872. in 2 Samuel

  873. 7

  874. of an

  875. heir of

  876. David

  877. that would

  878. sit on

  879. David's

  880. throne

  881. forever

  882. do you

  883. know who

  884. fulfilled

  885. that

  886. Jesus

  887. Jesus

  888. is the

  889. forever

  890. king

  891. who will

  892. sit

  893. forever

  894. on

  895. David's

  896. throne

  897. he will

  898. reign

  899. forever

  900. and set

  901. up

  902. he is

  903. setting up

  904. an unshakable

  905. kingdom

  906. him

  907. why am

  908. I telling

  909. you all

  910. this

  911. here's

  912. why

  913. that

  914. my

  915. in

  916. 60

  917. Psalm

  918. 62

  919. that

  920. belongs

  921. to

  922. you

  923. David's

  924. my

  925. becomes

  926. Mike's

  927. my

  928. through

  929. Jesus

  930. that

  931. my

  932. is

  933. your

  934. my

  935. my

  936. my

  937. rock

  938. my

  939. salvation

  940. my

  941. fortress

  942. it's

  943. through

  944. the

  945. blood

  946. of

  947. Jesus

  948. that

  949. we

  950. can

  951. say

  952. that

  953. God

  954. is

  955. now

  956. for

  957. us

  958. it's

  959. because

  960. of

  961. what

  962. God

  963. has

  964. done

  965. through

  966. Jesus

  967. to

  968. bring

  969. us

  970. into

  971. his

  972. new

  973. kingdom

  974. as

  975. his

  976. new

  977. people

  978. and

  979. that

  980. we

  981. can

  982. claim

  983. that

  984. promise

  985. that

  986. God

  987. is

  988. our

  989. God

  990. and

  991. you'll

  992. never

  993. leave

  994. us

  995. nor

  996. forsake

  997. us

  998. all

  999. the

  1000. promises

  1001. of

  1002. God

  1003. are

  1004. yes

  1005. and

  1006. amen

  1007. in

  1008. Jesus

  1009. 2nd

  1010. Corinthians

  1011. 1

  1012. so

  1013. David's

  1014. my

  1015. becomes

  1016. Mike's

  1017. my

  1018. it

  1019. becomes

  1020. your

  1021. my

  1022. that

  1023. God

  1024. is

  1025. your

  1026. God

  1027. he

  1028. is

  1029. your

  1030. rock

  1031. he

  1032. is

  1033. your

  1034. salvation

  1035. he

  1036. is

  1037. your

  1038. fortress

  1039. he

  1040. is

  1041. your

  1042. refuge

  1043. he

  1044. is

  1045. your

  1046. hope

  1047. he

  1048. is

  1049. your

  1050. ever

  1051. present

  1052. help

  1053. in

  1054. time

  1055. of

  1056. need

  1057. so

  1058. when

  1059. we

  1060. read

  1061. these

  1062. my

  1063. in

  1064. Psalm

  1065. 62

  1066. and

  1067. we

  1068. read

  1069. them

  1070. as

  1071. David's

  1072. we

  1073. can

  1074. take

  1075. them

  1076. as

  1077. our

  1078. own

  1079. we

  1080. can

  1081. make

  1082. them

  1083. my

  1084. my

  1085. my

  1086. God

  1087. what

  1088. this

  1089. means

  1090. is

  1091. that

  1092. we

  1093. can

  1094. have

  1095. confidence

  1096. that

  1097. the

  1098. unshakable

  1099. triune

  1100. God

  1101. of the

  1102. Bible

  1103. is

  1104. our

  1105. unshakable

  1106. God

  1107. my

  1108. unshakable

  1109. God

  1110. and

  1111. he's

  1112. made

  1113. an

  1114. unshakable

  1115. promise

  1116. to us

  1117. in

  1118. Christ

  1119. that

  1120. he

  1121. wrote

  1122. in

  1123. the

  1124. blood

  1125. of

  1126. Jesus

  1127. and

  1128. then

  1129. sealed

  1130. with

  1131. the

  1132. resurrection

  1133. of

  1134. Christ

  1135. himself

  1136. it's

  1137. a

  1138. promise

  1139. we

  1140. can't

  1141. shake

  1142. therefore

  1143. because

  1144. God

  1145. is

  1146. unshakable

  1147. and his

  1148. commitment

  1149. to us

  1150. in

  1151. Christ

  1152. is

  1153. unshakable

  1154. therefore

  1155. we

  1156. will

  1157. not

  1158. be

  1159. greatly

  1160. shaken

  1161. we

  1162. will

  1163. trust

  1164. in

  1165. our

  1166. rock

  1167. we

  1168. will

  1169. trust

  1170. in

  1171. our

  1172. fortress

  1173. we

  1174. will

  1175. trust

  1176. in

  1177. our

  1178. refuge

  1179. God

  1180. is

  1181. unshakable

  1182. and his

  1183. commitment

  1184. to us

  1185. is

  1186. unshakable

  1187. we are

  1188. able to

  1189. claim this

  1190. and so we

  1191. must

  1192. claim it

  1193. we live

  1194. here

  1195. and we're

  1196. going to

  1197. experience

  1198. the same

  1199. movement

  1200. that we

  1201. see in

  1202. the psalm

  1203. will move

  1204. from being

  1205. shaken

  1206. to not

  1207. shaken

  1208. because

  1209. our

  1210. trust

  1211. is

  1212. in

  1213. our

  1214. unshakable

  1215. God

  1216. I don't

  1217. know where you

  1218. are this

  1219. morning

  1220. if you've

  1221. not

  1222. been

  1223. shaken

  1224. you will

  1225. be shaken

  1226. sometime

  1227. and when

  1228. you are

  1229. set your

  1230. shaky

  1231. heart

  1232. on your

  1233. unshakable

  1234. God

  1235. who's

  1236. made

  1237. an

  1238. unshakable

  1239. promise

  1240. to you

  1241. in

  1242. Christ

  1243. David

  1244. in

  1245. Psalm

  1246. 56

  1247. 9

  1248. he was

  1249. under

  1250. a

  1251. different

  1252. threat

  1253. at that

  1254. time

  1255. he was

  1256. afraid

  1257. you know

  1258. what he

  1259. said

  1260. but this

  1261. I know

  1262. that God

  1263. is for

  1264. me

  1265. and in

  1266. Christ

  1267. we can

  1268. rest our

  1269. hearts

  1270. on that

  1271. this

  1272. Thanksgiving

  1273. we've

  1274. got some

  1275. wonderful

  1276. things to

  1277. be thankful

  1278. for

  1279. God

  1280. is

  1281. unshakable

  1282. and his

  1283. commitment

  1284. to us

  1285. in Christ

  1286. is unshakable

  1287. as well

  1288. and so we

  1289. will not be

  1290. greatly shaken

  1291. let me pray

  1292. for us

  1293. God we are your

  1294. people

  1295. and God

  1296. for those of us

  1297. who put our

  1298. faith in you

  1299. we know that

  1300. you've purchased

  1301. us with the

  1302. blood of Christ

  1303. we belong to

  1304. you

  1305. we are

  1306. yours

  1307. our souls

  1308. find rest

  1309. in you

  1310. God

  1311. alone

  1312. you are

  1313. our rock

  1314. you are

  1315. our

  1316. deliverer

  1317. you

  1318. are our

  1319. fortress

  1320. against

  1321. the

  1322. enemy

  1323. God

  1324. you are

  1325. our

  1326. refuge

  1327. you are

  1328. our

  1329. healer

  1330. you are

  1331. our

  1332. shepherd

  1333. you are

  1334. king of

  1335. kings

  1336. and lord

  1337. of lords

  1338. you are

  1339. the head

  1340. of this

  1341. body

  1342. and God

  1343. we entrust

  1344. ourselves

  1345. to you

  1346. we pour

  1347. out our

  1348. souls

  1349. to you

  1350. we don't

  1351. turn in

  1352. other places

  1353. we look

  1354. to you

  1355. lead on

  1356. our God

  1357. direct our

  1358. steps

  1359. for the

  1360. name

  1361. for your

  1362. name's

  1363. sake

  1364. in Jesus

  1365. name

  1366. amen
