  1. For my name is Alan. For those of you who don't know, I serve here. I oversee the youth ministry here at Watermark.

  2. Kong He Fa Choy. Happy Chinese New Year. Did I say that right? Kong He Fa Choy?

  3. Yeah, I think one thing I've learned in primary school is I asked the wrong person, not I asked Nils.

  4. Did I say that right? What? Okay, anyway.

  5. Okay, so for the past three weeks, as the year began, we've been looking into, we've been going through this series called Abide in Christ.

  6. We usually, when we think about a new year, we usually go into a year making plans.

  7. Okay, how am I going to do better this year? How am I going to improve myself?

  8. But the reality is that we don't have much control of what's going to happen down the line or down the year.

  9. I mean, life is going to throw us things we least expect. Life is going to throw us terrible heartaches.

  10. Life is going to throw us amazing good stuff, beautiful stuff, broken stuff, sadness, and a whole lot of things.

  11. So how do we approach it? We try to take control of it or we just become a little optimistic, hoping that a year would be better.

  12. But this year, we have been talking about another way that we could approach it, and that is by actually abiding in Christ.

  13. Yes, life will throw us incredible sadness, but it's actually abiding in Christ that secures us, that keeps us hopeful, that keeps us secure and in Christ's love.

  14. I mean, life is going to throw us amazing good things, promotions, maybe new relationships, and it's abiding in Christ that keeps us from being prideful

  15. and being focused on Jesus Christ who, in the words of Paul said,

  16. Hey, everything is nothing compared to the surpassing knowledge, the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord.

  17. So for the past two weeks, we've been looking to abiding in Christ.

  18. Last week, we looked into abiding in His Word.

  19. And where we talked about, Hey, how do we get into God's Word?

  20. How do we drench our lives in God's Word?

  21. How do we speak God's Word, not only in our church, families, into every part of our lives?

  22. It's not about having different branches in our lives, like church, family, churches, or whatever.

  23. But actually, having all of our branches of our lives drenched in God's Word.

  24. And so finally, today, we have come to the last week of Abiding in Christ, the series,

  25. and we'll be looking into abiding in His love.

  26. So let me call Soda, who will read today's scripture.

  27. And let's read from John 15.

  28. Yes? Good.

  29. Thanks for the great introduction.

  30. And let us all listen to God's Word and let every single Word of God speak power in your life

  31. for whatever that He wants to tell you.

  32. Today's scripture is in John 15.

  33. You can follow along on the screen or your own Bible.

  34. Starting in verse 1, we read,

  35. I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine dresser.

  36. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit, He takes away.

  37. And every branch that does bear fruit, He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

  38. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you.

  39. Abide in me and I in you, as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself,

  40. unless it abides in the vine.

  41. Neither can you, unless you abide in me.

  42. I am the vine, you are the branches.

  43. Whoever abides in me and I in him,

  44. he is that bears much fruit.

  45. For apart from me, you can do nothing.

  46. If anyone does not abide in me,

  47. he is thrown away like a branch and withers.

  48. And the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.

  49. If you abide in me and my words abide in you,

  50. ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you.

  51. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit,

  52. and so proved to be my disciples.

  53. As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you.

  54. Abide in my love.

  55. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love,

  56. just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in His love.

  57. These things I have spoken to you,

  58. that my joy may be in you,

  59. and that your joy may be full.

  60. This is the word of God.

  61. Thank you, Soda.

  62. Hey, can I pray for us before we start?

  63. Father, we come before you to talk about something that is so majestic,

  64. that is so vast, that is so great,

  65. that truly, God, I feel so feeble and so small

  66. to stand and talk about your love.

  67. Love that surpasses knowledge,

  68. love that goes beyond anything that we can ever come to imagine, God.

  69. So, Father, we pray this morning,

  70. would you come, would your Spirit come and speak to our hearts?

  71. Unless you don't, you come.

  72. Father, this is just going to be another talk.

  73. So, Father, we pray earnestly, desperately,

  74. that you would come this morning,

  75. and that you would speak and reveal your love to us this morning.

  76. Father, would you come, and would you be glorified?

  77. Would you increase, and we would decrease?

  78. Would you speak to the idols of our hearts?

  79. Would you speak to our insecurities?

  80. Would you speak to our fears and our plans,

  81. our need to control our life?

  82. And, Father, we pray that you would come and speak.

  83. In Jesus' name we pray.

  84. Amen.

  85. So, have you come across a quotation or a saying

  86. that is so profound, so deep, so amazing,

  87. that you had to stop in your tracks,

  88. stop for a while, and just let it process for a while.

  89. You know a saying or something?

  90. So, when I was in high school,

  91. this was one quotation that stopped me on my path.

  92. I was just a teenager.

  93. I was a very romantic quote.

  94. So, here was this quote.

  95. If I had to choose between breathing and loving you,

  96. I would use my last breath to tell you I love you.

  97. It's cringy.

  98. So, hey, I was a teenager.

  99. I saw this quotation.

  100. I was like, oh, I know I'm single,

  101. but, oh, man, I would love this girl,

  102. whoever this girl is, like this.

  103. And I would write it on my notebooks.

  104. I would write it on my books.

  105. I would carve it on my desk.

  106. Don't ask me why I have a knife in high school.

  107. But I would carve it on my desk

  108. and do all sorts of things with this quotation.

  109. And I'm sure we all have come across a quotation

  110. like this in our lives,

  111. when we are reading books

  112. or when we are just walking down the streets.

  113. And today, we'll be looking closely at verses 9 and 11.

  114. And I'm not sure if these verses

  115. have ever stopped us in our tracks in the same way.

  116. Maybe for some of us, it has stopped us in this track.

  117. Maybe for some of us, it has not stopped us

  118. and we have just brushed over these few verses.

  119. And I believe that it's because this verses,

  120. verses 9 to 11,

  121. is sandwiched between such amazing verses

  122. that are talking about divine, abiding in Christ,

  123. that we kind of, it's so easy to miss verse 9 to 11

  124. and not ponder over these three amazing verses.

  125. So, let's take a closer look at verse 9

  126. where there's like a sudden change of words.

  127. In the beginning, we've been looking,

  128. Jesus talks about, okay, you've got to abide in me.

  129. And later on, the words changes.

  130. It becomes, you've got to abide in my word.

  131. Let my words abide in you.

  132. And here's the third change,

  133. which is abide in my love.

  134. So, let's look at verse 9.

  135. And it says,

  136. As the Father has loved me,

  137. so have I loved you.

  138. Abide in my love.

  139. Okay, let me read that again.

  140. As the Father has loved me,

  141. so have I loved you.

  142. And that's the end of the sermon.

  143. Think about it.

  144. As the Father has loved me,

  145. Jesus says,

  146. so have I loved you.

  147. What can be said of the mystery

  148. and the profound of this one line?

  149. This love the Father has for her son,

  150. Jesus Christ,

  151. is something unlike any of us

  152. have fully experienced.

  153. And I use the word fully experienced

  154. in a very greedy and miserly way.

  155. I mean,

  156. it's not like the love

  157. a mother has for her baby.

  158. I mean,

  159. we saw the really cute babies

  160. of Enrica and others.

  161. And it's not like that kind of love.

  162. It's not the love

  163. a teenage boy has for this girl,

  164. the most beautiful girl

  165. he has ever laid his eyes on.

  166. It's not like the love

  167. a husband or a wife has

  168. for each other

  169. that has grown deep

  170. over years and years of marriage.

  171. I mean,

  172. all of this love

  173. do come close

  174. to the love of the Father,

  175. the love the Father has for his son.

  176. But I say it comes close

  177. in the sense that

  178. if God's,

  179. if Father's love

  180. was like an iceberg,

  181. it's just the tip

  182. of the tip of an iceberg.

  183. It's just so close

  184. in comparison to Father's love.

  185. Now what we are talking about here

  186. is a love that is

  187. completely unimaginable.

  188. Now you can see my difficulty

  189. in talking about this.

  190. It's a love

  191. that is so unimaginable.

  192. When we talk about God loving,

  193. we are not merely talking

  194. about an emotion

  195. that a father has for his son

  196. or the father feels towards another.

  197. We are not merely talking

  198. about the many works

  199. the Father does,

  200. the many things,

  201. the activities of God the Father.

  202. I mean,

  203. what we are talking about

  204. according to 1 John 4

  205. is that love for Father God

  206. is who he is.

  207. 1 John 4 tells us

  208. that God is love

  209. because for God,

  210. love is not one of the many things

  211. that he does,

  212. but for God,

  213. love is who he is

  214. in his being.

  215. For God,

  216. it is the very essence of God.

  217. It is the indispensable thing

  218. about God.

  219. It is the very core

  220. of who God is.

  221. So to talk about,

  222. to talk about love for God

  223. and to take love out of God

  224. is like going to a restaurant

  225. and ordering an eggless omelet.

  226. It just does not make sense.

  227. You cannot have an eggless omelet.

  228. In the same way,

  229. you cannot have love

  230. without God.

  231. For God,

  232. love is who he is.

  233. I mean,

  234. in our lives,

  235. sometimes we come across

  236. a love that is so amazing,

  237. right?

  238. A love that is so profound

  239. that can leave us scarred,

  240. that can leave us traumatized,

  241. that can leave us transformed.

  242. It can be a love

  243. between a man and a woman.

  244. It can be a love

  245. between a parent and a child.

  246. It can be a love

  247. between a man and a dog.

  248. A love that is so profound.

  249. I know I saw this movie,

  250. a Korean movie,

  251. in high school.

  252. I mean,

  253. today is all about Korean.

  254. It was called The Classic.

  255. I don't know how many of you

  256. have watched the Korean movie

  257. called The Classic.

  258. And even to this day,

  259. when I listen to the soundtrack

  260. of this song,

  261. I still feel the pain in my chest.

  262. I mean,

  263. I would encourage you

  264. to go and watch it.

  265. The Classic.

  266. I mean,

  267. if I listen to the music,

  268. and I fear like,

  269. if I listen to it too long,

  270. I'll break down and cry.

  271. It was just so

  272. heartbreaking and beautiful.

  273. And I actually don't watch it anymore

  274. because I feel like,

  275. if I watch it,

  276. I'll spoil the beauty

  277. that I had felt before.

  278. So it's,

  279. you know,

  280. we do come across

  281. love that is so profound.

  282. And can you imagine

  283. us human beings,

  284. sinful,

  285. selfish,

  286. broken,

  287. humans are capable

  288. of creating

  289. such beautiful love,

  290. imagining such amazing

  291. and beautiful love.

  292. How about a God

  293. who's beautiful,

  294. holy,

  295. pure,

  296. who himself is love,

  297. who is the creator of love,

  298. who is himself,

  299. is the very being love.

  300. In what way

  301. does he love

  302. his son?

  303. I mean,

  304. I don't even know

  305. where to begin

  306. to describe that.

  307. And just to scratch

  308. the surface,

  309. we do see glimpses

  310. of this love

  311. the father has

  312. for his son.

  313. For example,

  314. John 17, 24

  315. tells us that

  316. the love

  317. of the father

  318. over his son

  319. had existed

  320. way before creation.

  321. Jesus says,

  322. God,

  323. you loved me

  324. before the foundation

  325. of this earth.

  326. I mean,

  327. before time began,

  328. before the creation

  329. was even thought of

  330. or even created,

  331. love was there.

  332. It is a love

  333. that existed

  334. way before creation

  335. that has been existing

  336. for eternity,

  337. which is a love

  338. that is eternal,

  339. that goes on and on

  340. for all eternity.

  341. It does not stop.

  342. It does not falter.

  343. It does not change

  344. or wane in any way.

  345. I mean,

  346. it's a love

  347. that never changes.

  348. I mean,

  349. our love changes.

  350. Our love falters.

  351. There are points

  352. in our life

  353. when we question our love,

  354. but for God,

  355. it's a love

  356. that is eternal.

  357. Because for him,

  358. it's a love

  359. that overflows

  360. from who he is again,

  361. right?

  362. It's a love

  363. that comes out

  364. like a roaring water,

  365. like a water

  366. that's gushing out

  367. from who he is.

  368. It's like a love,

  369. like a mighty river.

  370. I don't know

  371. if you guys

  372. have ever been

  373. to a mighty river.

  374. I used to live

  375. just above this river

  376. in India,

  377. and you can listen

  378. to this river

  379. all night.

  380. It's like a majestic sound.

  381. I'm like,

  382. ch-ch-ch-ch-ch.

  383. And God's love,

  384. I'm sorry for that sound effect,

  385. but it's God's love

  386. is like a mighty,

  387. gushing river

  388. that's pouring out.

  389. You know,

  390. sometimes we imagine

  391. God's love

  392. to be calm

  393. and peaceful.

  394. I mean,

  395. at times it is.

  396. But if you look

  397. into Scripture,

  398. if you look at his passion

  399. in the Old Testament,

  400. if you look at the way

  401. he pursues his people,

  402. if you look at the way

  403. he pursues justice,

  404. if you look at the way

  405. he's angry over the injustice,

  406. over the sinfulness,

  407. and all of this motivated

  408. by his amazing love,

  409. powerful and passionate love,

  410. you'll see that his love

  411. is something that is gushing out

  412. with such force,

  413. with such strength

  414. that is just majestic

  415. and mighty.

  416. This is the love

  417. that is motivated.

  418. This is the love

  419. of the Father

  420. and it's so majestic.

  421. Luke 3.22,

  422. in the baptism of Jesus

  423. and the transfiguration

  424. in Matthew 17,

  425. it talks about God

  426. just breaking in

  427. and as Jesus is being baptized,

  428. as Jesus is right there,

  429. God breaks in

  430. and he says,

  431. this is my beloved son

  432. and with you I'm well pleased

  433. and even though

  434. this was fulfilling

  435. the Old Testament,

  436. I mean there is a sense

  437. of God breaking in

  438. and saying,

  439. this is my son,

  440. this is my son,

  441. my beloved son

  442. and with you I'm well pleased

  443. and although my son

  444. has done nothing till now,

  445. he's about 30 years old,

  446. he's been a carpenter

  447. all his life,

  448. all he's done

  449. is build some tables

  450. and chairs

  451. and I know he has done

  452. nothing worthy of worth

  453. but this is the son

  454. with whom I'm well pleased.

  455. I mean I wonder

  456. how many of us

  457. has gone through life

  458. ever hearing that.

  459. Son, daughter,

  460. I'm pleased with you

  461. not because of your

  462. academic achievement

  463. or your career achievement

  464. but I'm pleased with you

  465. because you are my son

  466. and daughter.

  467. I wonder how many of us

  468. have ever heard that

  469. in our lives.

  470. This is,

  471. you see,

  472. because for God

  473. to love his son

  474. Jesus Christ

  475. was not based

  476. on what Jesus has done,

  477. was not based

  478. on what was in the heart

  479. of Jesus

  480. but for God to love

  481. was based

  482. on what was in his heart

  483. and it was a heart

  484. that was full of love

  485. for his son

  486. and it was a love

  487. that was just being poured out

  488. from who he was.

  489. It was his being,

  490. it was who he was.

  491. John 3, 35,

  492. Jesus says,

  493. the father loves the son

  494. and has given all things

  495. into his hand.

  496. You see,

  497. the father out of his love

  498. for his son

  499. has given all things

  500. to the son

  501. sharing,

  502. creating for his son

  503. and to flood his son

  504. with his love.

  505. I mean,

  506. we could go on and on

  507. to describe the father's love.

  508. I mean,

  509. but if I may,

  510. in my insufficient words,

  511. in my feeble attempt

  512. to describe God's love

  513. in one sentence,

  514. it's a love that is eternal,

  515. never waning or changing,

  516. that delights over

  517. and powerfully pours out over

  518. out of the abundance

  519. of his heart

  520. and being

  521. that gives everything

  522. out of love.

  523. I mean,

  524. that's a very long sentence,

  525. but let me say that again.

  526. It's a love that is eternal,

  527. that goes from beginning

  528. to the end,

  529. never changing,

  530. never waning,

  531. that delights over,

  532. that powerfully pours over

  533. out of the abundance

  534. of his heart

  535. and being

  536. and that gives everything

  537. out of love

  538. to the son.

  539. And this is the love

  540. the father has

  541. for his son,

  542. Jesus Christ.

  543. And we cannot even begin

  544. to imagine

  545. how powerful,

  546. how beautiful,

  547. how majestic,

  548. how incredible

  549. and all the words

  550. that I can have

  551. in my little dictionary

  552. is God's love

  553. for his son.

  554. Then Jesus turns around

  555. and he looks at each one of us

  556. and he says,

  557. as the father has loved me,

  558. so have I loved you.

  559. Let that sink in.

  560. As the father

  561. has loved me eternally,

  562. has loved me

  563. with never waning,

  564. never changing,

  565. that delights over me,

  566. that powerfully pours out

  567. out of the abundance

  568. of his heart

  569. and who he is,

  570. that gives everything

  571. and in the same way,

  572. I love you.

  573. And if you think about it,

  574. Jesus did give everything,

  575. did he not?

  576. He gave his life

  577. on the cross.

  578. He took up our sins.

  579. He made them his very own.

  580. He went to the cross

  581. bearing the price

  582. that we had to pay

  583. and gave his life.

  584. And if you think about it,

  585. it grips my heart

  586. when you think about

  587. the way the father

  588. loved the son

  589. and then yet

  590. he was still willing

  591. to give his son for us.

  592. And I mean,

  593. it's not only Jesus

  594. who loves us,

  595. it's also the father

  596. who loves us

  597. in the same fashion.

  598. I mean,

  599. remember the famous

  600. John 3, 16?

  601. For God so loved the world

  602. that he gave his one

  603. and only begotten son,

  604. that he gave his son

  605. that he loved so much

  606. for us.

  607. He gave up everything.

  608. I mean,

  609. now there's so much

  610. that can still be said,

  611. but in the words

  612. of an old hymn

  613. by Frederick,

  614. let me read it out.

  615. He said in this hymn,

  616. could we with ink

  617. the ocean fill

  618. and wear the skies

  619. of parchment made,

  620. wear every stalk

  621. on earth a quill

  622. and every man

  623. a scribe by trade

  624. to write the love

  625. of God above

  626. who drained

  627. the ocean dry,

  628. nor could the scroll

  629. contain the whole

  630. though stretched

  631. from sky to sky.

  632. I mean,

  633. we could go on

  634. and on and on

  635. and then

  636. it would still be infinite,

  637. it would still be eternal,

  638. it would still go on

  639. and on.

  640. Now you can imagine

  641. in Revelation

  642. why the elders

  643. and the people

  644. and they bow down

  645. and they go on

  646. and on for eternity

  647. saying,

  648. holy,

  649. holy,

  650. holy are you God

  651. because his love

  652. is eternal.

  653. His love goes on

  654. and on and on

  655. way beyond

  656. we can ever imagine.

  657. And as the Father

  658. has loved me,

  659. so I have I loved you.

  660. And Jesus says,

  661. abide in my love.

  662. And if you remember,

  663. abide means to remain.

  664. Abide means to abode,

  665. to make this

  666. your resting place,

  667. to live in this thing,

  668. to live in his love,

  669. to cling on,

  670. to continuously remain

  671. in his love.

  672. And Jesus says,

  673. abide in my unimaginable love.

  674. Church,

  675. how many days,

  676. how many of us

  677. go through days

  678. without even experiencing

  679. God's love,

  680. amazing love?

  681. When was the last time

  682. you sat beneath

  683. this amazing,

  684. unimaginable love of God

  685. and just rested

  686. and remained

  687. and abode

  688. and lived there

  689. and continuously lived there?

  690. When was the last time

  691. we did that?

  692. And if we are being honest,

  693. we don't always do it,

  694. do we?

  695. There are days

  696. we just go through

  697. through the motion

  698. and suddenly

  699. it's already bedtime.

  700. There are days

  701. we feel everything,

  702. we experience everything

  703. except God's love for us.

  704. I mean,

  705. we sometimes feel like

  706. God tolerates us,

  707. don't we?

  708. Do you know what I mean

  709. by tolerate?

  710. I mean,

  711. yes,

  712. he loves me,

  713. but everything I do,

  714. when he looks at my lifestyle,

  715. he's just there

  716. frowning at me.

  717. He's like,

  718. oh,

  719. this guy.

  720. Or sometimes we feel like,

  721. yes,

  722. God loves me,

  723. but my every action

  724. is making him go,

  725. this guy.

  726. Oh man,

  727. again.

  728. Alan,

  729. again.

  730. We feel like God tolerates us

  731. and what that leads us to is,

  732. is that,

  733. is that we try to start doing

  734. a certain stuff

  735. to actually make God love us.

  736. I mean,

  737. it becomes so easy

  738. to do something

  739. that would make him love us,

  740. right?

  741. So we pray a little more,

  742. maybe add in a little bit

  743. of fasting and tithing,

  744. maybe go to church,

  745. join some CGs,

  746. lead some stuff,

  747. just so that we feel like

  748. God does not tolerate us,

  749. but that he would actually love us.

  750. I mean,

  751. imagine the frustration

  752. of God over that.

  753. Imagine God being frustrated

  754. over us trying

  755. to earn his love.

  756. I mean,

  757. Dan Audlin in his book,

  758. Deeper,

  759. right there,

  760. book Deeper,

  761. he shares his frustration

  762. over his kids.

  763. This is what he writes

  764. in his book.

  765. He says,

  766. when I tell my five young kids

  767. that I love them,

  768. they shrug and they say,

  769. I know that,

  770. but they don't.

  771. They believe it,

  772. but they hardly know it.

  773. I cannot hug them tight enough.

  774. I can't say it loudly enough.

  775. I can't express it often enough.

  776. I have a blessed frustration

  777. at being unable

  778. to communicate to them

  779. how precious they are to me.

  780. I mean,

  781. for us to earn God's love

  782. and not really realizing

  783. that God's love is eternal.

  784. It does not change.

  785. And do you know that

  786. that is how God views us?

  787. His frustration over us

  788. to let us know

  789. that he loves us with a love

  790. that is completely inseparable,

  791. that never changes.

  792. I mean,

  793. let's take a break

  794. from John 15

  795. and let's go to John,

  796. sorry,

  797. Romans 8 for a bit

  798. to see this.

  799. I mean,

  800. if you have a bulletin

  801. on your hands,

  802. the Romans 8

  803. is on the next page.

  804. I mean,

  805. if you have a Bible,

  806. let's turn to Romans 8

  807. and let's see that.

  808. Let's look at verses 31 to 39.

  809. I mean,

  810. Romans 8

  811. is a massive chapter.

  812. I feel like I'm saying

  813. a lot of massive stuff.

  814. I mean,

  815. we'll definitely

  816. not go into details here.

  817. I mean,

  818. this is considered to be

  819. the Mount Everest

  820. of Romans 8,

  821. of the letter to Romans.

  822. I mean,

  823. it was the peak of Romans.

  824. It's the,

  825. I mean,

  826. you cannot go any higher

  827. than Romans 8.

  828. I mean,

  829. Niels told me that like,

  830. hey,

  831. with these verses

  832. are so profound,

  833. so beautiful

  834. that it is just better

  835. to repeat it 20 times

  836. and finish the sermon

  837. and that's it.

  838. That's,

  839. I cannot say anything

  840. much more beautiful

  841. than what's already been said.

  842. And me,

  843. obeying my pastor,

  844. I'm going to do just that.

  845. I'm going to say it 20 times.

  846. I'm just kidding.

  847. I'm not going to do that.

  848. Okay,

  849. so let's look at this.

  850. Let's look at this Mount Everest

  851. from a distance

  852. and let's look at it

  853. from very far

  854. and one thing you'll see is

  855. at the end of all,

  856. in verse 39,

  857. Paul cries out

  858. that there is nothing

  859. that will be able

  860. to separate us

  861. from the love of God

  862. in Christ Jesus,

  863. that his love for us

  864. is inseparable.

  865. I mean,

  866. well,

  867. you got to read

  868. the whole of Romans

  869. to see how he comes

  870. to that conclusion,

  871. but let's just look

  872. from verse 31 onwards

  873. and you'll see that

  874. he asks a few questions

  875. and he answers them

  876. at the same time.

  877. Now,

  878. let's look at verse 31.

  879. He says,

  880. if God is for us,

  881. who can be against us?

  882. Now,

  883. he's saying that,

  884. do you know

  885. that God is for you?

  886. Do you know

  887. that God is on your side?

  888. I mean,

  889. in the world

  890. that we live in,

  891. it's so unpredictable.

  892. I mean,

  893. after having gone

  894. through lockdowns,

  895. looking at the news,

  896. looking at the war,

  897. I mean,

  898. for some of us,

  899. jobs going terrible

  900. and all sorts of things

  901. going terrible.

  902. I mean,

  903. sometimes it can feel like

  904. God is everywhere

  905. except with us.

  906. I mean,

  907. sometimes it is even

  908. our own sins

  909. and our choices

  910. that messes us up

  911. and it feels like

  912. God is not on our side,

  913. but in fact,

  914. God feels like

  915. he's opposite of us.

  916. Looking at us,

  917. frowning at us.

  918. I mean,

  919. but what we see here

  920. is that

  921. God is for us.

  922. I mean,

  923. even if you think about

  924. our choices

  925. and our habitual sins,

  926. it does feel like

  927. God is opposite of us.

  928. But actually,

  929. this says,

  930. no, no, no, no.

  931. God is not opposite of you.

  932. God is not against you,

  933. but God is for you.

  934. He's actually for you

  935. and he's strengthening you

  936. in your struggles.

  937. Do you remember

  938. Philippians 4, 13?

  939. It says,

  940. Paul says,

  941. I can do all things

  942. through him

  943. who strengthens me.

  944. It's not me

  945. doing all things,

  946. but it's God

  947. who is in me

  948. strengthening me,

  949. that he's for me.

  950. But how do you know

  951. that he's for you

  952. and that he's giving you

  953. all his amazing promises?

  954. Well, look at verse 32.

  955. He says,

  956. Paul says,

  957. he who did not spare

  958. his own son

  959. but gave him up

  960. for us all,

  961. how will he not also

  962. with him graciously

  963. give us all things?

  964. The son,

  965. we just talked about,

  966. that he loves eternally

  967. without change,

  968. that delights over,

  969. that he gave his son

  970. for us,

  971. if he can't do that

  972. for us,

  973. will he not fulfill

  974. his promise for us

  975. and not just for eternity,

  976. but even for this life,

  977. for his presence

  978. in our life,

  979. for his presence

  980. and his strength

  981. in our life,

  982. for our sanctification,

  983. for us to overcome

  984. what we go through

  985. in this life.

  986. That God is for us,

  987. that he's not against us.

  988. He's on your side.

  989. Verse 33, 34.

  990. Who is it that is going

  991. to bring charges

  992. against us?

  993. No one.

  994. Because we have been

  995. justified by God.

  996. It's God who justifies us.

  997. Who is it that will

  998. condemn us for our sins

  999. and rebellion?

  1000. No one.

  1001. Because even though

  1002. it was us

  1003. that was supposed

  1004. to be condemned,

1005. even though it was us

  1006. that was supposed

  1007. to pay the price,

  1008. it was Jesus

  1009. who was condemned.

  1010. It was Jesus

  1011. who took our death

  1012. and shame

1013. and he gave his life

  1014. for us

  1015. so that now

  1016. we can stand justified

  1017. putting on

  1018. Jesus' righteousness

1019. and we can all stand

  1020. as if we have

  1021. never sinned

  1022. in our lives.

  1023. That now we are

  1024. standing justified

  1025. because of Jesus

  1026. who has justified us,

1027. who has paid the price.

  1028. And finally,

  1029. what is it

  1030. that will separate us

1031. from the love of Christ?

  1032. Nothing.

  1033. Verse 38 and 39.

  1034. For I am sure,

  1035. he starts off,

  1036. Paul starts off

  1037. with that words.

  1038. For I am sure.

  1039. Why is he sure?

1040. Because of all the things

  1041. he talked about,

1042. that Jesus paid the price,

  1043. that God gave

1044. his one and only son

  1045. whom he loved

  1046. so dearly,

  1047. so eternally,

1048. that he gave his son

  1049. for us,

  1050. that now we stand

  1051. without fall,

  1052. covered in his righteousness.

  1053. And because of all

  1054. this gospel truth,

1055. the gospel of the good news

  1056. of Jesus Christ,

  1057. because of that,

  1058. I am sure

  1059. that neither death,

  1060. nor life,

  1061. nor angels,

  1062. nor rulers,

  1063. nor things present,

  1064. nor things to come,

  1065. nor powers,

  1066. nor height,

  1067. nor depth,

  1068. nor anything else

  1069. in all creation,

  1070. nor the troubles

  1071. in your life,

  1072. nor the sins

1073. that you have put up

  1074. before God,

  1075. nor anything

  1076. that we have

  1077. in our lives

  1078. or in this creation,

  1079. spiritual or physical,

  1080. or anything

  1081. can separate us

1082. from the love of God

  1083. in Christ Jesus,

  1084. our Lord.

  1085. man,

  1086. isn't that just amazing?

  1087. I mean,

  1088. it is so true.

1089. I could have just read that

1090. and finished it with that.

  1091. There's nothing,

1092. nothing that can separate us

1093. from the love of God

  1094. in Christ Jesus.

  1095. And if I may,

1096. if I can squeeze out

1097. one word from all of that,

  1098. it is security.

1099. These verses are reminding us

1100. that God's love for us

  1101. is so deep,

  1102. so unshakable,

1103. that we are so secure

1104. in the love of God

  1105. found in Christ Jesus.

1106. And if you think about it,

  1107. in real life,

  1108. in our day-to-day life,

  1109. things will happen

  1110. that will take us,

  1111. that will leave us

  1112. out of control,

  1113. that will make us

  1114. feel insecure.

  1115. I mean,

  1116. even in the beginning

  1117. of this series,

1118. we were talking about it,

  1119. right?

1120. That as we go into the year,

  1121. 95% of the things

1122. will be out of our control.

  1123. 95% of the things

  1124. will be things

  1125. we are not expecting.

  1126. And when that happens,

  1127. we feel insecure.

1128. Maybe God is not with us.

1129. Maybe God is not for us.

  1130. Maybe God is not

1131. in my life right now.

  1132. Where are you, God?

  1133. How long, oh God?

  1134. Where are you, God?

  1135. I mean,

  1136. even the things

  1137. that we suffer

  1138. can leave us

  1139. in such a mess.

  1140. I mean,

  1141. even the sins

  1142. that other people

  1143. commit against us.

  1144. It can be small,

  1145. like your boss

  1146. scolding you.

1147. Or it can be big,

  1148. like an abuse

  1149. by someone.

  1150. And all these things

  1151. can leave us

  1152. in such a mess.

  1153. And all these things

  1154. can shape us

  1155. and leave us

  1156. in such a mess.

  1157. But actually,

  1158. what this is saying

  1159. is that your life

  1160. is not what proves

  1161. God's love for you.

  1162. It's Christ's love

  1163. on the cross

  1164. that is what proves

  1165. God's love.

  1166. For you.

1167. It's not who you are

  1168. or the mess

  1169. or the chaos

  1170. or the suffering

  1171. that you go through.

  1172. It is the chaos

  1173. and the mess

  1174. and the suffering

  1175. that Jesus went through

  1176. that proves God's love

  1177. for you.

  1178. Isn't that amazing

  1179. that there is nothing,

1180. nothing that can separate us

1181. from the love of God

  1182. in Christ Jesus.

  1183. I mean,

  1184. it's like what Kevin

  1185. was sharing last week

  1186. about what his dad

  1187. used to tell him.

1188. That he used to tell

  1189. his sons that

  1190. son or a kid,

  1191. whatever you do

  1192. in your life,

  1193. whatever you say,

  1194. whatever you do,

  1195. whatever you decide,

  1196. nothing can separate you,

  1197. nothing can take away

  1198. my love for you.

  1199. But here's one thing

1200. that we need to remember.

  1201. Here's one thing

  1202. we need to remember.

  1203. If you look closely

  1204. in verse 39,

  1205. you'll see that

  1206. this amazing love,

1207. this love that is being

  1208. poured out

1209. from the Father to the Son,

1210. from the Father to us,

1211. from the Son to us,

1212. the love that is inseparable,

1213. this love that is unimaginable,

  1214. this love that is

  1215. so profound

  1216. and so majestic,

  1217. this love of God

  1218. is actually found

  1219. in Christ Jesus.

  1220. So,

  1221. if you're here

  1222. for the first time

1223. or if you have never

  1224. made a decision

  1225. to follow Christ yet

  1226. or if you're still

  1227. debating on it,

1228. this can be the day

  1229. for you to come

  1230. and receive this amazing

1231. and profound love of God

1232. that can only be found

  1233. in Christ Jesus.

  1234. Love that satisfies

  1235. our deepest longings.

1236. Love that cannot be found

1237. anywhere else on this earth.

1238. A love that is based

1239. not on how you perform

1240. but on who God is

1241. and a love that will

  1242. make you whole.

1243. Will you come and taste

1244. this amazing love of God

1245. and that the Lord is good?

  1246. I mean,

  1247. if that is something

1248. you want to talk about,

  1249. if that's something

1250. anyone wants to talk about,

  1251. I mean,

  1252. you can reach out

1253. to any one of us,

  1254. Neil,

  1255. Oscar,

1256. or any one of us

1257. at the end of the service.

1258. But for those of us

1259. who have been a Christian

  1260. for some time

  1261. or if you're new

  1262. or if you're a follower

  1263. of Christ,

1264. I want us to know

1265. that abiding in His love

  1266. is not something

  1267. that we experience

  1268. deep in our hearts.

  1269. It's not something

  1270. that is passive.

  1271. It's not something

  1272. we feel internally

1273. but actually it is something

  1274. that is the reality

  1275. of our lives.

  1276. Abiding in His love

1277. means that our whole life

1278. is being shaped by it

1279. and it's more than that.

  1280. Abiding in His love

  1281. means that our source

  1282. of our joy

  1283. is His love.

  1284. I mean,

  1285. let's go back

  1286. to John 15 again.

  1287. I mean,

1288. we're going back and forth.

  1289. Let's go back

  1290. to John 15

  1291. and let's look at

  1292. verse 10 and 11.

  1293. And it says here,

1294. if you keep my commandments,

1295. you will abide in my love

1296. just as I have kept

  1297. my Father's commandments

1298. and abide in His love.

  1299. Now,

1300. if you read that properly,

1301. that sounds a lot like,

  1302. hey,

1303. the way to abide in His love

1304. is to obey His commandments.

  1305. Okay,

1306. if you want God's love,

  1307. you better have obedience

  1308. in your life.

  1309. I mean,

  1310. it's sounding a lot like that,

  1311. right?

  1312. But actually,

1313. if you stop and think about it,

  1314. not really.

  1315. Because you see,

  1316. it's quite easy

  1317. to fall back into

1318. trying to earn God's love,

  1319. right?

  1320. And being very insecure

  1321. in God's love.

  1322. But yet,

  1323. there's something about

  1324. abiding in God's love

  1325. and obedience

  1326. that fits in

  1327. one sentence.

  1328. I mean,

  1329. one thing we should

  1330. think about is,

  1331. you see,

  1332. His love for us

  1333. never changes.

  1334. That's something

  1335. we talked about,

  1336. right?

  1337. His love is eternal.

  1338. It's never waning,

  1339. never changes,

  1340. never goes down,

  1341. never goes up

  1342. because that's the highest

  1343. He can get.

  1344. So,

  1345. His love for us

  1346. never changes,

  1347. but yet,

  1348. whether we choose

1349. to abide in it or not,

  1350. now that can make

  1351. a difference.

  1352. You see,

  1353. abiding in His love,

  1354. His love never changes,

  1355. but we can choose

  1356. to move away

  1357. from His love

1358. and one of the ways

  1359. we can choose

  1360. to move away

  1361. from His love

  1362. is disobedience.

  1363. I mean,

1364. let me give an example.

  1365. Imagine a husband

  1366. sitting on his sofa

  1367. all day,

  1368. doing nothing

  1369. and the wife's request

1370. to help out in the home

  1371. falls on deaf ears.

  1372. And for the husband

  1373. to say,

  1374. I love my wife,

  1375. I mean,

1376. I know my wife loves me,

1377. and I love my wife so much,

1378. I care for my wife.

  1379. That's quite unreasonable,

  1380. isn't it?

  1381. I mean,

  1382. how many of us

1383. have a husband like that?

  1384. That's good.

1385. I'm not going to ask that.

  1386. But that's quite unreasonable

  1387. for the husband

  1388. to say,

  1389. I love you,

1390. but at the same time,

  1391. do nothing,

  1392. not hear,

1393. not listen to his wife

  1394. at all,

  1395. is quiet.

1396. It just does not fit in

  1397. in one sentence.

  1398. You don't believe

  1399. that the husband

  1400. loves this wife.

  1401. Obviously,

  1402. this analogy falls apart

  1403. because the wife's love

  1404. for the husband

  1405. starts to falter,

  1406. starts to go down.

1407. While God's love for us

  1408. never changes.

1409. His love is always steadfast,

  1410. but it's us

  1411. who's choosing

  1412. to walk away,

  1413. right?

  1414. Now,

  1415. but,

1416. but it just does not end there.

  1417. Now,

1418. look at verse 11 also.

1419. What he ends up with is,

  1420. he says that,

1421. he has said all these things

  1422. so that his joy

  1423. may be in us

  1424. and our joy

  1425. may be full.

  1426. Now,

  1427. to the equation

1428. of abiding in his God's love,

  1429. commandments,

  1430. obedience,

1431. Jesus adds one more thing.

  1432. He adds joy.

  1433. Now,

  1434. joy,

  1435. this is a joy

  1436. that is not based

  1437. on circumstances,

  1438. but on the security

  1439. of God's love.

  1440. It's a joy

  1441. that sits steadily

  1442. deep in us

  1443. regardless of

  1444. our circumstance.

  1445. It's a joy

  1446. that satisfies us

  1447. in a way

  1448. that are beyond comprehension.

  1449. It's a joy

  1450. from God's love

  1451. that is beyond anything

  1452. this world can offer.

  1453. I mean,

1454. if you remember David's psalm

  1455. in Psalm 63,

  1456. he says,

  1457. God,

  1458. your love

1459. is better than life itself.

  1460. Have you ever thought

  1461. of that psalm?

  1462. God,

  1463. your love

1464. is better than life itself?

  1465. I mean,

1466. what else do we humans

  1467. have apart from life?

1468. Life is the only thing

  1469. that we have.

  1470. And David comes up

  1471. and he says,

  1472. God,

  1473. your love

1474. is better than life itself.

  1475. There's some kind

  1476. of satisfaction

  1477. in God's love.

  1478. There's some kind

  1479. of steadiness,

  1480. wholeness in God's love

  1481. that keeps us,

  1482. that leaves us saying,

  1483. God,

  1484. your love

  1485. is way better

  1486. than life itself.

  1487. There's a joy

  1488. in abiding

  1489. in God's love

  1490. and obedience.

  1491. There's a kind

  1492. of joy

  1493. that when we abide

  1494. in God's love

  1495. that leads to obedience,

1496. that gives us a joy

  1497. that's so deep within.

  1498. I mean,

  1499. if you remember

  1500. Hebrews 12,

  1501. it says,

  1502. where it says,

1503. it was for the joy

  1504. of Jesus

  1505. to endure the cross

  1506. in obedience

  1507. to the Father.

  1508. It was a joy

  1509. for Jesus Christ

  1510. to obey His Father

1511. and to go on the cross

  1512. to take our sins.

  1513. This is a joy

  1514. that comes from

  1515. abiding in His love

  1516. and obedience.

  1517. And it's not just a joy

  1518. that fills our heart,

  1519. it's a joy

  1520. that strengthens us.

  1521. That,

  1522. if you remember,

1523. the joy of the Lord

  1524. is my strength.

  1525. See,

  1526. this joy

1527. is not just an emotion,

  1528. not just something

  1529. that's fleeting,

  1530. it's something

  1531. that's deep within us.

  1532. It's almost like a circle,

  1533. abiding in His love,

  1534. obedience,

  1535. joy.

  1536. It almost goes

  1537. at the same time,

  1538. if that makes sense.

1539. So just to bring that in,

  1540. church,

  1541. here's the thing

  1542. to think about.

1543. What are we abiding in

  1544. in our lives?

  1545. Are we abiding

  1546. in our performance?

  1547. Are we trusting

  1548. and basing our identity

  1549. and value

  1550. in what we do

  1551. and what we perform?

1552. Or is it in His love

  1553. that we are secure

  1554. and accepted?

  1555. Where is the source

  1556. of our joy?

  1557. Is it our work?

  1558. Is it our achievements?

  1559. Is it our families?

1560. Is it what we do

  1561. and what we receive?

  1562. Or is it

  1563. this unshakable,

  1564. inseparable,

  1565. unimaginable love

  1566. of God

  1567. found in Christ Jesus?

  1568. Is our Christian life

  1569. marked with rituals

  1570. of church attendance

  1571. or a few minutes

  1572. of Bible reading

  1573. in the morning?

  1574. Or is it marked

  1575. with obedience

  1576. in every part

  1577. of our lives

  1578. that comes out

  1579. of knowing

  1580. that we are secure

1581. in the love of God

  1582. and full of joy

  1583. that is unshakable

  1584. in every circumstances?

  1585. Church,

  1586. Jesus calls us

  1587. to abide,

  1588. to remain,

  1589. to cling,

1590. to make this our home,

1591. to abide in His love

  1592. so that everything

  1593. that we do,

1594. everything that we go through

  1595. in coming days,

  1596. in this coming 2023,

  1597. is grounded

  1598. in the security

  1599. and joy

  1600. found in the love

  1601. of God

  1602. in Christ Jesus.

  1603. You see,

  1604. that our lives

  1605. are marked,

  1606. that our lives

  1607. are marked,

  1608. I think this Kevin

  1609. mentioned this,

  1610. to be a man

  1611. full of Christ,

  1612. full of His word

  1613. and full of love,

  1614. to be a people

  1615. that is marked

  1616. with obedience

  1617. and joy

  1618. that comes

  1619. from the love

  1620. of God,

1621. that has taken us in,

  1622. that has called us

  1623. sons and daughters,

  1624. not because of

  1625. our good works,

  1626. but because of

  1627. what Jesus did

  1628. on the cross,

  1629. remembering,

  1630. remembering

1631. that He loved us first,

  1632. not us.

1633. To bring it to a close,

1634. how do we do it?

  1635. I mean,

  1636. Kevin has been finishing

  1637. with practical application,

1638. so it would be a sin

  1639. if I don't.

  1640. Here's,

  1641. I don't have a lot

  1642. of practical application

  1643. of, okay,

1644. how do we do this?

  1645. Apart from

  1646. getting daily

  1647. into your scripture,

  1648. praying for God

  1649. to reveal His love

  1650. in His word

  1651. in our lives,

  1652. here are three

  1653. practical application

1654. that came to my heart

  1655. as I was preparing

  1656. this sermon.

  1657. These are the three

1658. that I was reminded of.

  1659. I mean,

  1660. it's going to sound

  1661. a lot like a traffic rules.

  1662. You'll see what I mean.

1663. So first one is stop.

  1664. Stop.

  1665. It's so easy

  1666. to get busy.

  1667. It's so easy

1668. to go with the flow.

  1669. It's so easy

  1670. to do family.

  1671. It's so easy

  1672. to do work,

  1673. home,

  1674. assignments.

  1675. But when was

  1676. the last time

  1677. we stopped?

  1678. Just stopped.

  1679. And pondered

  1680. over this majestic

  1681. love of Christ

  1682. over us.

  1683. Someone gave me

  1684. an advice

  1685. years,

  1686. years back.

  1687. He told me,

  1688. go and sit

  1689. on a big rock.

  1690. And the reason

  1691. for that is

  1692. it's very hard

1693. to find a big rock

  1694. in Hong Kong.

  1695. Unless,

  1696. unless you go

  1697. out of the way,

  1698. out of the city

1699. to find a big rock.

  1700. So stop

1701. and go find a big rock

  1702. and ponder

  1703. over the majestic

  1704. love of God.

  1705. I mean,

  1706. it's the same

  1707. thing for couples,

  1708. right?

  1709. I mean,

  1710. it's so easy

  1711. to do family work,

  1712. feed the kids,

  1713. sleep on the

  1714. sand bed,

  1715. and forget to abide

  1716. in each other's love.

  1717. That's why date nights

  1718. are so important.

1719. You go out once a week

  1720. or how much ever,

  1721. talk to each other,

  1722. pour out each other,

  1723. listen to each other.

  1724. So take time off,

  1725. stop,

  1726. pause,

  1727. take out a significant

  1728. time out of your,

  1729. out of,

  1730. I would say,

  1731. every day,

  1732. and let God

  1733. wash you

  1734. with His love.

  1735. Second is this,

  1736. talk.

  1737. in our communities,

  1738. with the people

  1739. around us,

  1740. it's so easy

1741. to pray for each other,

  1742. it's so easy

  1743. to tell,

  1744. help each other

  1745. in our sufferings,

  1746. in our problems,

  1747. encouraging each other,

  1748. but let's also,

  1749. let's also speak

  1750. God's love

  1751. to each other,

  1752. reminding

  1753. of God's amazing

  1754. and unimaginable,

  1755. unseparable love

  1756. of God's love

  1757. found in Christ Jesus

  1758. to each other.

  1759. Let's speak that

  1760. to each other

  1761. in our communities

  1762. and finally walk.

  1763. Traffic rules,

  1764. right?

  1765. Stop,

  1766. talk,

  1767. walk.

  1768. Walk

1769. as you go to school,

1770. as you go to work.

  1771. I mean,

  1772. in my life,

  1773. I found that

  1774. when I walk

  1775. from my home

  1776. to work,

  1777. that's the time

  1778. when I,

  1779. that's the time

  1780. I get

  1781. to really pray

  1782. and let God

  1783. wash His love

  1784. over me.

  1785. So when you go

  1786. to school,

  1787. when you work,

  1788. in those gaps,

  1789. remember God's love

1790. that He gave His one

  1791. and only Son,

  1792. Jesus Christ,

  1793. not because

  1794. of any good thing

  1795. I did,

  1796. but out of purely

  1797. of grace and love.

1798. That now I can come

  1799. putting on

  1800. His righteousness

  1801. that Jesus looks

  1802. at us and says,

  1803. as the Father

  1804. has loved me,

  1805. so I have

  1806. I loved you.

  1807. So in our lives,

  1808. let's take a pause,

  1809. let's stop,

  1810. let's talk,

  1811. and as we walk

  1812. in our lives,

  1813. as we do

  1814. our daily deeds,

  1815. let's ponder,

  1816. let's let God

  1817. wash His love

  1818. and let's abide

  1819. in His love.

1820. Let me pray for us.

  1821. Father,

  1822. we praise You

  1823. and we thank You

  1824. and there's not

  1825. a lot of words

  1826. I can say

  1827. we can say

  1828. about Your love

  1829. and even in this

  1830. feeble attempt

  1831. of talking about

  1832. this amazing love,

  1833. God,

  1834. I pray that You,

  1835. Your Spirit,

  1836. would take these words

  1837. and put it deep

  1838. in our hearts.

  1839. Father,

  1840. until and unless

  1841. Your Spirit

  1842. opens up

  1843. and reveals

  1844. Your love to us,

  1845. God,

  1846. we are still blind.

  1847. So,

  1848. Father,

  1849. we pray for each

  1850. one of us

  1851. in Watermark

  1852. that we would be

  1853. a church

  1854. that abides

  1855. in You,

  1856. Jesus,

  1857. that would abide

  1858. in Your Word,

  1859. that would abide

  1860. in Your love,

  1861. that we would be

  1862. a church

  1863. that is marked,

  1864. that is recognized

  1865. by being people,

  1866. that is deeply

  1867. sitting secure

  1868. in Your love,

  1869. that is full

  1870. of Your Word,

  1871. that is deeply

  1872. full of joy

  1873. because of what

  1874. You have done

  1875. on the cross

  1876. and not because

  1877. of our performance

  1878. and who we are

  1879. and how amazing

1880. we look from the outside.

  1881. Father,

  1882. I pray for each

  1883. one of us

  1884. that we would be

  1885. people that are

  1886. deeply secure

  1887. in Your Gospel.

  1888. Help us to speak,

  1889. help us to encourage

  1890. each other

  1891. in Your love,

  1892. God,

  1893. that ultimately

  1894. that we would decrease

  1895. and You would increase.

  1896. So,

  1897. Father,

  1898. we give You praise.

  1899. May You be glorified.

1900. May You be lifted up.

  1901. May Your love

  1902. abide in our hearts

  1903. and may 2023

  1904. be a year

1905. for us to get deeper

  1906. into Your love

  1907. that You would reveal

  1908. day by day

  1909. how amazing,

  1910. how vast,

  1911. how high,

  1912. how deep,

  1913. how wide Your love

  1914. is

  1915. that can be found

  1916. in Christ Jesus.

1917. To You we give glory,

  1918. Lord.

1919. In Jesus' name we pray.

  1920. Amen.

  1921. Amen.

  1922. Amen.

  1923. Amen.

  1924. Amen.

  1925. Amen.

  1926. Amen.

  1927. Amen.

  1928. Amen.

  1929. Amen.

  1930. Amen.

  1931. Amen.

  1932. Amen.

  1933. Amen.

  1934. Amen.
