  1. Herman Bavink once famously said, God and God alone is man's highest good.

  2. Similarly, our Westminster Shorter Catechism in its first question asks what man's purpose

  3. is on this earth, and the answer is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

  4. However, as we come to Psalm 100, it could certainly be said that these ideas of glorifying

  5. God are put to the center.

  6. I am sure many of you, if not most of you, are familiar with these words.

  7. This is the old 100, and I remember on various occasions I have been in crowds, vast crowds

  8. sometimes of thousands, thousands of voices lifted up singing these words.

  9. It is a psalm rich with the splendor of God.

  10. It is a psalm ringing with joy and gladness.

  11. And it is a psalm which brings home the reality that the worship of God for the believer is

  12. sweetness and joy.

  13. This psalm is made up of four stanzas, which if you are using an ESV is clearer, and each

  14. of these stanzas are very rich in their contents.

  15. Verses 1 and 2 make up the first, then verse 3 the second, verse 4 the third, and verse

  16. 5 the fourth.

  17. And in this psalm, in this famous psalm, a scene is depicted where the faithful are worshiping

  18. God, the king of the temple, with joy and gladness where they worship him under his rule

  19. and protection.

  20. And through reflecting on this, my prayer is that we will find more and more joy in the

  21. worship of our God and an assurance that we will enjoy him for all eternity.

  22. So we will consider this psalm stanza by stanza.

  23. Firstly, in verses 1 to 2, we are to worship the Lord with joy.

  24. In verse 3, we worship the Lord as king.

  25. In verse 4, we worship the Lord in his temple.

  26. And finally, in verse 5, we worship the Lord for eternity.

  27. So firstly, in verses 1 to 2, we worship the Lord with joy.

  28. We worship the Lord with joy.

  29. Read verse 1.

  30. Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.

  31. Worship the Lord with gladness.

  32. Come before him with joyful songs.

  33. In these verses, we are commanded to do three things.

  34. Firstly, we are commanded to shout for joy to the Lord.

  35. And the shout in view here is a loud, jubilant shout.

  36. It is often used in the context of battle.

  37. And it is not just limited to the human voice.

  38. Sometimes it is used to refer to that of a trumpet.

  39. I don't know if many of you have been in a relatively small space and you hear a trumpet blast.

  40. Or maybe in Scotland, a bagpipe go off.

  41. It can be absolutely definite, can't it?

  42. And this is the kind of volume and tone in view here when we are called to shout for joy to the Lord.

  43. It is a loud and triumphant shout.

  44. And when we consider all that our Lord has done for us, how much reason we have to shout for joy to the Lord.

  45. He is the one who, according to his foreknowledge, has saved us and purchased us with the blood of Christ.

  46. He defeated the powers of this present evil age by the cross.

  47. And he has freed us from our bondage to sin.

  48. I recall a few weeks ago walking to church here.

  49. And just across the road before we arrived, we could hear cheering and celebrations.

  50. Now, if you can hear that at this time in the year, you know there is a fairly good chance that the English national football team are playing.

  51. And that they have probably just lost a goal.

  52. And that's exactly what happened.

  53. I looked up my phone and right enough, that's exactly what happened.

  54. Sorry if there are any English people here.

  55. This is probably too soon.

  56. But we know what this type of triumphant celebration is like.

  57. And that's football.

  58. This is our eternal salvation and a glory that we will share in for all eternity.

  59. How much reason we have to shout for joy to the Lord.

  60. In verse 2, we are commanded to worship Him with gladness.

  61. Worship the Lord with gladness, it says.

  62. If you are using an ESV, it may say serve the Lord with gladness.

  63. But the idea here is really the same.

  64. Throughout the Old Testament, Israel were to serve and worship the true God, Yahweh.

  65. We are to worship Him alone.

  66. We are to worship Him as He has demanded.

  67. We are to give Him the praise due to His name.

  68. Throughout the Old Testament, we read the Israelites were so often guilty of doing this in all the wrong places.

  69. They so often serve the false gods and other idols.

  70. But the call here is to serve and worship Yahweh, the Lord, not all these other false gods.

  71. And we are to do so with gladness.

  72. We are to do so with gladness because worshiping the God, worshiping the Lord is a good thing.

  73. It is the reason why we were made.

  74. And it is the only thing in which our hearts can know rest and satisfaction.

  75. And when our hearts are rightly tuned to this truth, oh, how blessed we are.

  76. In Christ, we have the forgiveness of sins.

  77. He redeems our life from the pit and crowns us with love and compassion.

  78. Oh, how much does that enrich our hearts in worship.

  79. Charles Spurgeon writes,

  80. The invitation to worship here is given is not a melancholy one,

  81. as though adoration were a funeral solemnity,

  82. but a cheery, gladsome exhortation,

  83. as though we were bidden to a marriage feast.

  84. Now, I know for many of us who are Presbyterian and proud,

  85. this may be a hard one to hear.

  86. But how true it is.

  87. How true it is.

  88. We have been made co-heirs of the kingdom of God.

  89. And very often we come to church as though someone had just died.

  90. I certainly fall into this trap so often.

  91. It could be said that though we are spiritually millionaires,

  92. we very often come to church and sing as though we were paupers.

  93. Now, let me be clear.

  94. I am not commending a certain style of worship over another.

  95. I am not saying we must come to church and lift the hands right in the air in every song.

  96. You know, for some of us, including myself, that's just not in our DNA.

  97. But the question I want to ask you this evening is,

  98. as you worship and sing to the Lord,

  99. is your heart filled with gladness?

  100. Is your heart filled with thankfulness for the joys

  101. and the wonders that your Lord has shown to you?

  102. In verse 3, we are also called to enter His presence with joyful songs.

  103. We are to come before Him.

  104. And the idea here, as the ESV captures well,

  105. is to come into His presence with joyful songs.

  106. Psalm 84, which we sung, verse 2, captures a similar idea.

  107. If you'd flick over a few pages,

  108. Psalm 84, verse 2 says,

    Psalms 84:2

  109. My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord.

  110. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

  111. As we think about coming into God's presence with joyful songs and gladness,

  112. can I ask, do you come into His presence longingly?

  113. Do you yearn to enter into His presence?

  114. I remember when in the UK we have had hot weather.

  115. Yes, I know the one week of the year that happens.

  116. I have sometimes decided to go out for walks,

  117. and I think, huh, it's the UK.

  118. It's fine.

  119. I don't need to bring a water bottle with me.

  120. I go out on the walk, and my mouth goes dry very, very quickly,

  121. and I'm absolutely dying to get back home for a drink.

  122. Maybe you've had similar experiences too.

  123. But in a similar way, does your soul long to be in the presence of the Lord?

  124. Or do you long to be elsewhere?

  125. Maybe there are other things that would take away your attention from the worship of our Lord on His day.

  126. Maybe it's something that would take you away from church, but maybe it's not.

  127. And even in church, it's a distraction on your hearts and minds.

  128. Do you long to gather together as a body of believers as you receive Christ in His Word and sacrament?

  129. Because that is what is happening this evening.

  130. As we gather together, God is present among us by His Word.

  131. And if we know this, how we should not neglect to gather together.

  132. How wonderful is this opportunity week by week to enjoy His presence in worship.

  133. So we worship the Lord with joy.

  134. Moving on to verse 3, we worship the Lord as King.

  135. We worship the Lord as King.

  136. Verse 3, know that the Lord is God.

  137. It is He who made us.

  138. And we are His.

  139. We are His people.

  140. The sheep of His pasture.

  141. For those of you who know your Bibles well, you will know that when you see Lord in all capitals,

  142. that is standing in place for the covenantal name of God, Yahweh.

  143. This is the name which He revealed Himself by at the burning bush to Moses in Exodus chapter 3.

    Exodus 3 chapter mention

  144. And the call here is to know that He is God.

  145. It is not all the other false gods.

  146. It is He, Him, and it is Him alone.

  147. And this theme is a theme which has occurred many times before in the Scriptures.

  148. In Genesis chapter 1, one of the chief purposes of Genesis chapter 1, the account of creation,

Genesis 1 chapter mention Genesis 1 chapter mention

  149. is to establish the covenantal Lord Yahweh as King of creation.

  150. This was supposed to be in sharp contrast to all the pagan gods.

  151. The pagans, of course, had a God for just about everything.

  152. They had a God for the seas.

  153. They had a God for the sun.

  154. They had a God for the stars.

  155. And just about anything you could imagine.

  156. And I suppose that in this way we may say that Genesis chapter 1 has a polemical function.

    Genesis 1 chapter mention

  157. That is, it is attacking all of these other false gods, and it is asserting Yahweh as King of creation.

  158. And this, we know, is the foundation for the covenant relationship that Yahweh has with His people.

  159. In Exodus chapter 19 and 20, it is because God rescued the Israelites and showed Himself to be the one true God above all other false gods that they are to be set apart to Him.

    Exodus 19 chapter mention

  160. We see, and we see something similar in Psalm 100.

  161. In verse 3, we read it as He who made us, and we are His.

  162. It is because He is the maker of heaven and earth that He alone deserves our worship.

  163. This is the foundation of our relationship with our maker.

  164. It is because He is our creator that we can trust He will be a faithful Lord to us.

  165. Verse 3 continues, we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.

  166. And when we read texts such as this, we like to think of images of cuddly sheep following after a relatively good-looking guy.

  167. But we need to understand what this biblical metaphor is beyond face value.

  168. Throughout the scriptures, the shepherd metaphor is used to communicate kingship.

  169. In Jeremiah chapter 13, verse 20, it says,

    Jeremiah 13:20

  170. Look up and see those who are coming from the north.

  171. Where is your flock that was entrusted to you, the sheep of which you boasted?

  172. Ezekiel chapter 34 gives us a similar idea where it describes to us the bad shepherds.

    Ezekiel 34 chapter mention

  173. In other words, the bad leaders of Israel who abused their people.

  174. And in the Bible, this metaphor is used and it is applied to the Lord, to Yahweh.

  175. And it is used in contrast to all of these bad shepherds.

  176. Notably, if you flick the page over to Psalm 95,

  177. in verse 3, God is described as the great king above all other gods.

  178. And then in verse 7, it describes his subjects as the people of his pasture,

  179. the flock under his care.

  180. And of course, this language was used famously in Psalm 23 to describe the unique relationship between God and his people Israel.

  181. But notice that in verse 3 in Psalm 100, this covenantal language is used in reference to all the earth.

  182. We lose the gravity of this.

  183. For the Israelite, the idea that the pagan nations would worship God would be absolutely mind-blowing.

  184. It would be like if you turned up to your workplace this coming week

  185. and you found all your colleagues or classmates worshiping the Lord,

  186. you would probably be a little bit confused.

  187. But the wonder of Christianity and the mystery of the Scriptures

  188. is that God has broken down the dividing wall between Jew and Gentile.

  189. He has destroyed human divisions and has united for himself a people in Christ,

  190. which is the New Testament church.

  191. So with God as our covenantal king,

  192. we know that as we gather to worship him,

  193. we are in safe hands.

  194. We face many persecutions and pressures as brothers and sisters in Christ.

  195. If you keep up with Open Doors or other missionary organizations,

  196. you will know about some of the horrendous persecutions,

  197. some bear for bearing the name of Christ.

  198. Even in our own lands,

  199. you may face tremendous persecution or pressure

  200. to conform to this world's way of thinking and living.

  201. A few weeks ago, I was preaching on Psalm 29,

  202. where God rules over creation by his powerful and majestic voice.

  203. And Christian, this is your God.

  204. This is your God.

  205. He's enthroned over the world,

  206. in this world that so often seems chaotic and evil,

  207. that seemingly prevails.

  208. You are his.

  209. Read that again.

  210. Verse 3,

  211. And we are his.

  212. And because of this,

  213. be assured that you are held by him.

  214. And as you participate in his worship,

  215. you anticipate the day in glory

  216. when no evil power will ever touch you again.

  217. And until then,

  218. you are surely held by his loving arms.

  219. The psalm envisages a scenario

  220. where God's people worship him

  221. as king under his rule and protection.

  222. And this is what we will do for all eternity.

  223. We worship the Lord with joy.

  224. We worship the Lord as king.

  225. And thirdly, in verse 4,

  226. we worship the Lord in his temple.

  227. We worship the Lord in his temple.

  228. Verse 4,

  229. Enter his gates with thanksgiving

  230. and his courts with praise.

  231. Give thanks to him and praise his name.

  232. As we found in verses 1 to 2,

  233. we come with joyful songs

  234. to the presence of the Lord.

  235. And here in verse 4,

  236. we find that we are coming to his temple.

  237. The language in verses 1 and 2

  238. does hint towards this.

  239. Many of the praise,

  240. much of the praise described in verses 1 and 2

  241. is often used of the priests

  242. in Old Testament worship.

  243. And here we find this idea

  244. that we worship God

  245. in his temple much, much clearer.

  246. The temple in the Old Testament

  247. was where God dwelt.

  248. It was his house among his people.

  249. If you want fun bedtime reading,

  250. you could go and read Exodus chapters 25 to 30

    Exodus 25 chapter mention

  251. or perhaps 1 Kings chapters 5 to 8

    1 Kings 5 chapter mention

  252. where the very detailed instructions

  253. for the tabernacle and the temple are given.

  254. And we see in these passages

  255. that these were magnificent structures

  256. overlaid with gold.

  257. It was made as a place for God to dwell.

  258. Of course, not even the highest heavens

  259. could contain God,

  260. but in his grace,

  261. he has chosen and has been pleased

  262. to condescend to dwell with his people,

  263. to dwell with sinners in these holy places

  264. which signified the temple in heaven

  265. where he dwells in light inaccessible.

  266. And this is the scene

  267. which we have before us.

  268. We read of his gates.

  269. We read of his courts.

  270. These were features of the temple.

  271. And we enter his gates

  272. with thanksgiving.

  273. Again, another image of temple worship.

  274. The idea here may be similar

  275. to that of the thank offerings

  276. made in the Old Testament,

  277. such as in Leviticus chapter 7, verse 12,

    Leviticus 7:12

  278. where this kind of thankfulness

  279. is used in the context

  280. of sacrifices at the temple.

  281. And the picture here

  282. is that of God's dwelling in heaven,

  283. which is where we believers

  284. are headed towards.

  285. The new creation is depicted as a temple.

  286. It is a place where we will worship God

  287. in his presence for all eternity.

  288. Friends, this is where we come to in worship.

  289. We come to the heavenly temple of our God,

  290. and we come to worship

  291. in none other than the dwelling place of God.

  292. As we gather this evening,

  293. we join in this worship.

  294. We join in the eternal song.

  295. We also have to understand

  296. that this stanza follows from the last.

  297. That is, the stanza which proclaims to us

  298. the royalty and kingship of God

  299. is followed by the one

  300. which describes to us a temple scene.

  301. It is a common theme,

  302. especially in this altar,

  303. that God is king in his temple.

  304. It is his temple where he sits

  305. enthroned as king

  306. over his people,

  307. giving them his peace

  308. and protection.

  309. History and circumstances,

  310. they change,

  311. but God's rule over his dwelling place

  312. will never cease.

  313. Friends,

  314. if you worship the one true God,

  315. he cannot disappoint you.

  316. He cannot disappoint.

  317. If you worship other things,

  318. they will fail you.

  319. You know,

  320. in the world,

  321. we have many general elections going on,

  322. and in these elections,

  323. these can sometimes

  324. completely take over us.

  325. People on both sides,

  326. or not on all sides,

  327. are prone to view their candidate

  328. as some sort of Messiah figure.

  329. Governments will pass.

  330. political candidates will pass.

  331. But God's rule

  332. in his heavenly dwellings

  333. will never fail or pass.

  334. It will never cease.

  335. And therefore,

  336. we can approach his dwellings

  337. with thanksgiving,

  338. and we can enter his courts

  339. with praise and bless

  340. his holy name.

  341. Finally,

  342. in verse 5,

  343. we worship the Lord

  344. for eternity.

  345. We worship the Lord

  346. for eternity.

  347. Verse 5,

  348. for the Lord is good,

  349. and his love

  350. endures forever.

  351. His faithfulness

  352. continues

  353. through all

  354. generations.

  355. And how the Bible

  356. is a witness

  357. to these things,

  358. where time and time again

  359. God saves

  360. his people

  361. from their distress.

  362. How he was faithful

  363. to his promise

  364. to Abraham

  365. in sending

  366. Christ the Son,

  367. the only mediator

  368. between God and man,

  369. to die

  370. as a ransom

  371. for many.

  372. How we experience

  373. and know

  374. his mercies

  375. anew

  376. every day.

  377. Charles Spurgeon

  378. again says,

  379. on this verse,

  380. this sums up

  381. his character

  382. and contains

  383. a mass of reasons

  384. for praise.

  385. He is good,

  386. gracious,

  387. kind,

  388. bountiful,

  389. loving,

  390. yea,

  391. God is love.

  392. John Calvin,

  393. likewise,

  394. verse 5 points out,

  395. there will always

  396. be cause for praise.

  397. What base

  398. ingratitude,

  399. therefore,

  400. for us to weary

  401. in giving thanks.

  402. Yet so foolish

  403. are we

  404. that God

  405. must open

  406. his holy lips

  407. to declare

  408. his care for us,

  409. though he silently

  410. maintains it

  411. every day.

  412. how prone

  413. we can be

  414. to forget

  415. the grace

  416. of God.

  417. How easy

  418. it is

  419. to fail

  420. to render

  421. the praise

  422. that is due

  423. to his name.

  424. Christian,

  425. God

  426. is good.

  427. Let us not

  428. forget this truth.

  429. God is good.

  430. Let us not forget

  431. the love

  432. that he has shown

  433. us in Christ Jesus

  434. in saving us

  435. from our bondage

  436. to sin,

  437. and let us not

  438. forget his work

  439. in sustaining us

  440. every day

  441. as our great

  442. high priest.

  443. His love

  444. endures

  445. forever,

  446. and this is what

  447. we find

  448. throughout the rest

  449. of the scriptures.

  450. This psalm

  451. leaves us

  452. with an element

  453. of anticipation.

  454. We have to realize

  455. that as we read

  456. these verses

  457. that the believers

  458. reading this psalm

  459. before the advent

  460. of Christ,

  461. or we're singing

  462. it rather,

  463. we're not singing

  464. with our New Testament

  465. perspectives.

  466. This psalm

  467. envisages

  468. all the earth

  469. praising God,

  470. but as we will know,

  471. this had not

  472. happened yet.

  473. Of course,

  474. throughout Old Testament

  475. history,

  476. it was anticipated

  477. that by the

  478. Abrahamic promise

  479. that all the nations

  480. would be blessed

  481. in that promise,

  482. the time

  483. was not yet.

  484. And as we have

  485. seen,

  486. this psalm

  487. also has

  488. the language

  489. of victory.

  490. In verse 1,

  491. we saw that

  492. the shout

  493. was often used

  494. as a battle cry.

  495. It is military

  496. language.

  497. But when we read

  498. the psalms

  499. in the Old Testament

  500. history books,

  501. we read that

  502. the Israelites

  503. did not always

  504. enjoy this victory.

  505. even just

  506. the psalms.

  507. Psalm 100

  508. is in book 4.

  509. And before

  510. book 4

  511. is book 3,

  512. where Israel

  513. suffered much

  514. devastation.

  515. Psalm 88

  516. gives us

  517. but a glimpse

  518. into their suffering,

  519. where it ends

  520. in verse 18,

  521. you have taken

  522. from me

  523. friend and neighbor.

  524. Darkness

  525. is my closest

  526. friend.

  527. Friend.

  528. The people

  529. of Israel

  530. were longing

  531. for the

  532. restoration

  533. of their kingdom.

  534. They were

  535. yearning for

  536. the day

  537. when God's

  538. promises

  539. would fully

  540. and finally

  541. be fulfilled.

  542. Psalm 20

    Psalms 20:5

  543. verse 5

  544. would express

  545. this desire,

  546. may we

  547. shout

  548. for joy

  549. over your

  550. victory.

  551. And of course,

  552. a few psalms

  553. later we read

  554. of the,

  555. we read

  556. Psalm 24,

  557. where the

  558. Messiah is

  559. exalted

  560. as king

  561. in his

  562. victory.

  563. And as we

  564. read our

  565. New Testaments,

  566. we begin to see

  567. this picture

  568. as fulfilled.

  569. After Jesus

  570. died

  571. and rose

  572. from,

  573. died on the

  574. cross

  575. and rose

  576. from the

  577. dead,

  578. he achieved

  579. victory

  580. for his

  581. people.

  582. Colossians

    Colossians 2:15

  583. chapter 2

  584. verse 15,

  585. Christ triumphed

  586. over the

  587. powers of

  588. this age

  589. by triumphing

  590. over them

  591. by the

  592. cross.

  593. After this,

  594. Christ was

  595. exalted

  596. as king

  597. in his

  598. ascension.

  599. And after

  600. he sent

  601. the promised

  602. Holy Spirit,

  603. we read

  604. something very

  605. striking in

  606. Acts chapter 2

    Acts 2:46

  607. verse 46.

  608. Turn with me

  609. in your Bibles

  610. to Acts

    Acts 2 chapter mention

  611. chapter 2.

  612. Acts 2.

  613. Acts chapter 2,

    Acts 2 chapter mention

  614. after Peter

  615. has given

  616. his sermon

  617. to the crowds,

  618. where in

  619. verse 41,

  620. those who

  621. accepted his

  622. message were

  623. baptized and

  624. about 3,000

  625. were added to

  626. their number

  627. that day.

  628. We read this

  629. from verse 42.

  630. They devoted

  631. themselves to

  632. the apostles'

  633. teaching and

  634. to fellowship,

  635. to the breaking

  636. of bread and

  637. to prayer.

  638. Everyone was

  639. filled with

  640. awe at the

  641. many wonders

  642. and signs

  643. performed by

  644. the apostles.

  645. All the

  646. believers were

  647. together and

  648. had everything

  649. in common.

  650. They sold

  651. property and

  652. possessions to

  653. give to anyone

  654. who had need.

  655. Every day,

  656. they continued

  657. to meet together

  658. in the temple

  659. courts.

  660. They broke

  661. bread in their

  662. homes and

  663. ate together

  664. with glad

  665. and sincere

  666. hearts,

  667. praising God

  668. and enjoying

  669. the favor

  670. of all the

  671. people.

  672. And the

  673. Lord added

  674. to their

  675. number daily

  676. those who

  677. were being

  678. saved.

  679. After the

  680. exaltation of

  681. Christ, we

  682. read that the

  683. New Testament

  684. church were

  685. depicted as

  686. the worshiping

  687. temple community

  688. of Yahweh.

  689. We find in

  690. verse 46 of

  691. Acts 2 that

  692. they were

  693. serving one

  694. another with

  695. gladness.

  696. In the

  697. picture, we

  698. have an

  699. Acts, and

  700. in the

  701. wider New

  702. Testament, is

  703. the fulfillment

  704. of Psalm

  705. 100.

  706. As we

  707. gather together

  708. this evening,

  709. we are joining

  710. in the worship

  711. presented by

  712. this psalm in

  713. light of the

  714. victory that

  715. Christ, by

  716. His blood,

  717. has bought

  718. for us.

  719. How marvelous,

  720. marvelous, how

  721. wonderful, and

  722. my song shall

  723. ever be.

  724. How marvelous,

  725. how wonderful

  726. is my Savior's

  727. love for me.

  728. Friends, as we

  729. read our New

  730. Testaments, we

  731. read that Christ

  732. is the one who

  733. is King in the

  734. heavenly temple.

  735. He is the

  736. object of our

  737. worship and the

  738. one in whom we

  739. are secure.

  740. Our lives are

  741. hidden with

  742. Christ, our

  743. good shepherd

  744. in God.

  745. However, the

  746. picture in

  747. Psalm 100 is

  748. only partially

  749. fulfilled.

  750. The final

  751. fulfillment of

  752. Psalm 100,

  753. where all the

  754. earth worships

  755. the Lord in

  756. His presence,

  757. is depicted

  758. by Revelation

    Revelation 5 chapter mention

  759. chapter 5,

  760. where in

  761. verse 9, it

  762. says, you

  763. are worthy

  764. to take the

  765. scroll and

  766. to open

  767. its seals,

  768. because you

  769. are slain.

  770. And with

  771. your blood,

  772. you purchase

  773. for God

  774. persons from

  775. every tribe

  776. and language

  777. and people

  778. and nation.

  779. You have

  780. made them

  781. to be a

  782. kingdom of

  783. priests, to

  784. serve our

  785. God, and

  786. they will reign

  787. on earth.

  788. Christ, Christian,

  789. this is what

  790. Christ is

  791. guiding you

  792. towards.

  793. You are

  794. His, and

  795. He will keep

  796. you secure

  797. until that

  798. day when

  799. He comes

  800. again in

  801. glory, where

  802. you will

  803. worship Him

  804. with all the

  805. joy and

  806. with all the

  807. gladness that

  808. you could

  809. imagine.

  810. as I

  811. close, let

  812. me close

  813. with the

  814. words of

  815. the famous

  816. hymn.

  817. When He

  818. comes, our

  819. glorious King,

  820. all His

  821. ransomed home

  822. to bring,

  823. then anew

  824. the song

  825. will sing,

  826. hallelujah,

  827. what a

  828. Savior.

  829. Let us

  830. pray.

  831. Amen.
