  1. Hello and welcome to the McDonald Road

  2. 7th Adventist Church. Thank you so much

  3. for joining us as part of our online

  4. church family. I hope that you are

  5. blessed by the music and the message

  6. that we share with you today. We're so

  7. glad once again that you are part of our

  8. online church. No matter where you're

  9. worshiping from, we're so glad that you

  10. are able to worship with us here in

  11. McDonald Road. And if you're in the

  12. area, we would love for you to join us

  13. in person. We have worship services at

  14. 8:50 a.m. and at 11:30 a.m. every

  15. Sabbath here at the McDonald Road

  16. Church. Once again, welcome to church.

  17. So glad that you're here to worship with

  18. us.

  19. I want to say happy Sabbath to each and

  20. every single one of you. I even have a

  21. chance to see some people that I live

  22. close to, but I I don't get to see them

  23. very often. Um, I want to send greetings

  24. again from Adventist World Radio from uh

  25. our new president, uh, Pastor Jim

  26. Howard. He doesn't like it when we call

  27. him Elder. He said it makes him feel

  28. old. So, I want to send greetings from

  29. Pastor Jim Howard, our president at

  30. Adventist World Radio, along with Vice

  31. President Cammy Uman. We have lots of

  32. stuff out in the foyer. Feel free to

  33. take as much of it as you want. Um, I

  34. want to thank Bill and his wife for

  35. being out there and and helping with

  36. some of the presentations.

  37. Um, now typically I'm just going to be

  38. honest with you, I'm used to going to

  39. four different churches and preaching

  40. four different messages. I don't just

  41. preach the same one at each church I go

  42. to. And so I'm not used to this

  43. preaching the the same message thing.

  44. And I've been sitting here praying and I

  45. thought, well, God, we'll just do the

  46. same thing we've always done. Amen. So,

  47. I want to talk to you under the subject

  48. of the best days are yet to come. The

  49. best days are yet to come. Same

  50. scripture. Same scripture. So, um, if

  51. you weren't here this morning, you can

  52. watch the sermon this morning, too, cuz

  53. it's different. Amen.

  54. I'll say amen for you then.

  55. Let's go ahead and uh have a quick word

  56. of prayer and and dive into the text.

  57. Father in heaven,

  58. fill me up now.

  59. Empty me of the frailty of the preacher

  60. standing here and fill me with your Holy

  61. Spirit, dear Lord. Strengthen me and

  62. guide me as I speak. Help me to speak

  63. your words and yours only. For we pray

  64. it in Jesus name. Let everyone say amen.

  65. >> And amen. Scripture is the same. And the

  66. is Matthew 28 16 to 20. And turn with

  67. me. And the Bible reads, "And then the

  68. 11 disciples went away into Galilee into

  69. a mountain where Jesus had appointed for

  70. them. And when they saw him, they

  71. worshiped him, but some what?

  72. >> Doubted. And then Jesus came and spoke

  73. to them, saying, "All authority has been

  74. given to me to heaven and on earth. Go

  75. therefore and make disciples of all the

  76. nations, baptizing them in the name of

  77. the Father and of the Son and of the

  78. Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe

  79. all things that I have commanded you.

  80. And lo, I am with you always, even

  81. until the end of the age. Even until the

  82. end of the age. I think it's interesting

  83. here, and a lot of us pastors see this.

  84. We love this. Verse 17. I pointed this

  85. out in the first service. I want to

  86. point this out here. It says that that

  87. when they saw him, they worshiped him,

  88. but some doubted him. But I love what he

  89. says. He says, "Lo, I am with you

  90. always, even until the end of the age."

  91. So it doesn't matter the things that

  92. you've been struggling with. I don't

  93. care what struggles you're coming into

  94. the church today with. I don't care what

  95. you're dealing with here at McDonald

  96. Road because I'm going to be with you

  97. always, even until the end of the age.

  98. I'm going to be with you no matter what.

  99. Have you ever been in a difficult

  100. situation before?

  101. Well, I have. My wife and I have been in

  102. difficult situations. We have been in

  103. districts where it was nothing but zero

  104. people and full of mold.

  105. Nobody there, not one person in the in a

  106. pew

  107. in a church full of mold.

  108. It's kind of like our lives, I suppose.

  109. When I left that district,

  110. those churches were full of people.

  111. I remember one church, they said,

  112. "You'll be lucky to have 10 people ever

  113. show up at this church." There were

  114. about 40 to 50. The other church pastor,

  115. they said, "There you'll be lucky to

  116. have five ever attend here."

  117. There were 70.

  118. God does things that you and I can't

  119. see.

  120. And today I want to talk to you under

  121. the subject of the best days are yet to

  122. come. Because in Matthew 28, the Bible

  123. says that the 11 disciples went away in

  124. Galilee on a mountain where now remember

  125. how many gathered? It was about 500 they

  126. say. And these were not hateful

  127. Pharisees. These were not backbiting

  128. scribes. These were not the careless

  129. crowd, the people who gathered, but they

  130. were the followers.

  131. They saw him.

  132. They worshiped him.

  133. But some of them doubted him.

  134. Do you ever doubt Jesus?

  135. Do you doubt the power that is in the

  136. name of Jesus?

  137. I've been there. I was there a month

  138. ago. I was sitting in a hotel room in

  139. Torurro, Uganda, wondering why am I here

  140. a week and a half early if we're not

  141. going to start the meetings? And I could

  142. be home with my wife. I can be home with

  143. my family. And and here I am stuck

  144. all alone

  145. just with the people that I met a few

  146. years ago.

  147. And I didn't know what to do.

  148. So I got on my hands and knees and I

  149. prayed and I said, 'Lord,

  150. use me how you want to use me. Do what

  151. you want to do because you're the one

  152. who brought me here to Toruro.

  153. So I'm not here to do what DW wants to

  154. do, but I'm here to do whatever it is

  155. that you brought me here to do. So,

  156. Father, whatever it is, I'm asking

  157. that you do it.

  158. Sometimes I think we doubt God too much.

  159. Sometimes I think we want to look at at

  160. things in in the the human perspective

  161. and and I like to put my glasses on when

  162. I I think of the Holy Spirit because I

  163. like to look through the lens of the

  164. Holy Spirit because

  165. God's ways are not our ways.

  166. We see things in a different light. Just

  167. like my first district, you're not going

  168. to have more than five or 10 people. But

  169. we left and how many were there? More

  170. than 100 between two churches.

  171. Between four churches, you're looking

  172. maybe at 150. God grew those churches.

  173. God didn't put a stamp on what could be

  174. done and what couldn't be done. Are you

  175. following me?

  176. >> We have to quit doubting what God can do

  177. in our work.

  178. We have to quit doubting what God can do

  179. in our lives.

  180. I've seen God perform some miracles. And

  181. a lot of times, I think sometimes uh we

  182. look at people and and we want to kind

  183. of just put them in this box and and

  184. say, "Oh, this person has only been

  185. sober for 8 to 10 years, but uh what

  186. does that matter

  187. if the Holy Spirit is in them? What does

  188. that matter if the Holy Spirit is

  189. leading them?"

  190. You know, the disciples, they were were

  191. were a rough bunch, weren't they? You

  192. know, they were basically a bunch of

  193. gangbangers. They were they were a bunch

  194. of thugs. That's what they were. The

  195. disciples were. And here, my first point

  196. to my message is this. The call of God

  197. is to advancement.

  198. And it will always have people who doubt

  199. you.

  200. It will always have people who doubt it

  201. could be done. And it's amazing that

  202. some people saw, some worshiped, and

  203. other people saw, and some doubted. God

  204. has and will give you and I the vision.

  205. And mark my words, there will be

  206. doubters who are going to say it can't

  207. be done. We're going to do evangelism

  208. here. It's going to be the same thing

  209. that's always happened. And we're not

  210. going to baptize anybody.

  211. Right there. You've already marked it

  212. with your human selves all over it.

  213. You've already written it off before the

  214. Holy Spirit can do anything there.

  215. Why do we do this to ourselves?

  216. goals are almost always doubted by those

  217. on the inside.

  218. It's not the naysayers from the outside.

  219. It's it's not them. It's us.

  220. It's us. We need to worry.

  221. Not about being

  222. encouraged so much and discouraged. You

  223. see, God doesn't call you and I just to

  224. service. He doesn't call us just to

  225. maintain the organization. He calls us

  226. to grow it. He calls us to do

  227. extraordinary things. That's why the

  228. best are yet to come.

  229. So, it is us

  230. who needs to be encouraged. Brothers and

  231. sisters, God didn't call you and I to do

  232. things that are safe. He called us to do

  233. things

  234. not that are lowrisk things or

  235. politically safe things or the things

  236. that will make no waves. No, no, no.

  237. What God has called you and I to do, God

  238. is calling his leaders and he is calling

  239. you and I to change the world.

  240. If you don't want to make any waves,

  241. then you are in the wrong business, my

  242. friends.

  243. God has called all of us to make changes

  244. through the name of Jesus Christ.

  245. >> And it can be done. You see, God calls

  246. his leaders to to be the change agents.

  247. And when they saw him, they worshiped

  248. him. and some doubted. But if I'm

  249. casting a vision and I have no doubters,

  250. then the vision I'm casting is not bold

  251. enough. Are you following the pastor

  252. this morning?

  253. If I cast a vision and it not at least

  254. one person is doubting me, then I

  255. believe that there's a problem. Because

  256. as I have read my Bible, when God calls

  257. leaders to do the unthinkable, to do the

  258. unimaginable,

  259. God calls consecrated leaders, they are

  260. called to do what the unconsecrated

  261. believers believe cannot be done.

  262. All right, I said it too fast. Let me

  263. say it this way.

  264. As I have read my Bible, I believe God

  265. calls leaders to do the unimaginable.

  266. God calls us consecrated leaders and we

  267. are called to do what the unconsecrated

  268. believer believes cannot be done.

  269. Are you following me? When God called

  270. Noah, how many believed that it was

  271. going to rain?

  272. 120 years. And for 20 years, this guy is

  273. preaching and he has no children.

  274. And those children didn't even have

  275. wives yet.

  276. Can you imagine preaching for 20 years?

  277. And I I asked myself the same thing.

  278. Dear Lord, why am I here in Toro so

  279. early? I could have went the next week

  280. because there was work that needed to be

  281. done.

  282. But we want to look at things through

  283. our human lens instead of the Holy

  284. Spirit's lens. Amen.

  285. Brothers and sisters, we have been

  286. called

  287. like Joseph.

  288. He dreamed and his own brothers doubted

  289. him. When Moses came to deliver the

  290. children of Israel from Egypt, the

  291. doubters said that it couldn't be done.

  292. When Gideon had 300 men against the

  293. hundreds of thousands, the doubters came

  294. out of the woodwork. Brothers and

  295. sisters, when David stood up against

  296. Goliath, even his own brothers

  297. doubted him.

  298. The good thing about David is is David

  299. had to have a giant killing mentality.

  300. And I believe that when you and I can

  301. learn to have a giant killing mentality,

  302. then we can see changes in the things we

  303. are doing

  304. as a church family.

  305. Because you are not just some church.

  306. You are the McDonald Road 7th Day

  307. Adventist Church. You drive by this

  308. place, you know it's here.

  309. You don't have one service, but you have

  310. two services

  311. and several Sabbath schools.

  312. We have been called to go beyond the

  313. four walls that we have here to tell

  314. others about Jesus.

  315. God has given us a vision to that we

  316. should not run from. A vision not

  317. because we have doubters. It's time to

  318. move forward.

  319. It's time to forge ahead

  320. because even when there are people who

  321. doubt,

  322. God's got your back. Amen.

  323. You know, the very first time I went to

  324. Toruro was on my birthday in 200 and 24

  325. or three and and we were told this is a

  326. difficult place in Uganda to do ministry

  327. and you're not going to baptize much

  328. here. In fact, we we did a meeting the

  329. last week I was there. It was at Bugama

  330. University. They said, "You'll be lucky

  331. to have five baptized at that

  332. university."

  333. But praise God, we saw 50 give their

  334. lives to Jesus

  335. >> because somebody stood boldly

  336. for an entire week, pouring their heart

  337. out, allowing the Holy Spirit to use

  338. them in a way that maybe somebody else

  339. wouldn't.

  340. McDonald Road.

  341. When are we gonna have a third service?

  342. When are we going to get outside of this

  343. box?

  344. When are we going to go tell it on the

  345. mountain here in Tennessee that Jesus

  346. Christ has been born? Jesus Christ has

  347. been born and he has died. He was

  348. buried. He was resurrected. He was

  349. ascended and now it's time for the rest

  350. of us to go out and tell somebody about

  351. that same Jesus.

  352. >> Is that something that you're willing to

  353. do?

  354. >> You know, organizationally Jesus left

  355. the disciples and he left things in in a

  356. disarray. In fact, Jewish services had

  357. been turned upside down. In fact, the

  358. holy place where the presence of God

  359. dwelled and the curtain was torn from

  360. the top to the bottom. And you could see

  361. now uh when you couldn't see anymore.

  362. And the Pharisees who were the religious

  363. leaders who were the brethren in the day

  364. they had been exposed as liars and

  365. cheaters and murderers.

  366. And the second in command, the person

  367. that the people would have made the

  368. president

  369. was Judas.

  370. In fact, our cousin tells us that that

  371. he was one of the best speakers of the

  372. bunch.

  373. There was no money. There was no

  374. president. They didn't have houses of

  375. worship. And this was the condition that

  376. Galilee

  377. was left in.

  378. When you look at his response to the

  379. doubters, you know what he says to those

  380. who are doubting that it can't be done?

  381. He doesn't say anything about their

  382. doubt. Instead, Jesus says, "All power

  383. is given unto me in heaven and in the

  384. earth." He does not acknowledge the

  385. doubt. INSTEAD, HE SAYS, "I'M going to

  386. be with you always,

  387. even until the end of the age." So, I

  388. don't care what kind of doubt you got. I

  389. don't care if you doubt if I can help

  390. you pay your bills on time. I don't care

  391. if you doubt if I can help you with your

  392. problems at home or with your problem

  393. children. But the fact of the matter is,

  394. it does not matter because through your

  395. doubt, I'm going to be with you always,

  396. even until the end of the age. Come on,

  397. somebody.

  398. That was Jesus.

  399. And that's why I love this passage

  400. because in the Greek and Jesus uses this

  401. word for power and there are two words

  402. translated and and and we know this and

  403. and we see that there is is his words

  404. one that is translated and it means

  405. powered as inherent anything in itself.

  406. But Jesus doesn't just use um dynamite

  407. here. He uses a different word. And the

  408. translation literally means

  409. authority.

  410. What Jesus is saying to his doubters and

  411. to everybody else

  412. is to listen. All authority is given. Do

  413. you see the difference?

  414. One is like dynamite, right? You have

  415. the power to act. You have the power to

  416. do. Like in Acts 1:8, when you say you

    Acts 1:8

  417. shall receive power after the Holy Ghost

  418. has come upon you, that's this word. And

  419. that's a word that we get dynamite from.

  420. And dynamite changes things, doesn't it?

  421. But he said, "You're going to have to p

  422. have the power to change things. then

  423. you're going to be a stick of dynamite.

  424. But the other type of power came from

  425. one who has authority.

  426. The devil has power but he gets power

  427. from the ones who have authority. Jesus

  428. says you are speaking to the one who

  429. gives power to everybody.

  430. So what Jesus is saying and this is my

  431. second point for today and I had not

  432. intended to preach this today but the

  433. second point is that the call of God

  434. comes with power to perform what he has

  435. called you and I to do.

  436. Said it too fast. I'll say it again. The

  437. call of God comes with the power to

  438. perform what he has called all of us

  439. to do.

  440. Are you willing to step out in that

  441. faith to go out and to tell somebody

  442. about Jesus? Because he calls you and I

  443. his brothers and sisters. And today in

  444. spite of all the doubters in the house,

  445. what Jesus is saying here is he says not

  446. some power has been given unto me.

  447. Instead he says that all power

  448. has been given unto me. And Jesus places

  449. this important statement there. He says

  450. listen I'm addressing your doubt. And he

  451. says, "What I want you to do is to look

  452. at my power.

  453. And the more you look at my power,

  454. the more your doubt will disappear."

  455. Did you catch it? The more you look at

  456. my power, the more your doubt

  457. will disappear.

  458. My brothers and sisters, we start in the

  459. wrong place. And that's why we are

  460. afraid of where we're going in this

  461. life.

  462. When Jesus says, "All power is given

  463. unto me." When you start at verse 18, it

  464. gives you power and it gives you courage

  465. to go to verse 19. Right? Go ye

  466. therefore, which is the third point. In

  467. other words, we have no choice. When you

  468. accept the call to be a disciple,

  469. we have no choice but to go. The command

  470. of Christ is imperative.

  471. It's to go.

  472. Go and make disciples of all the

  473. nations. That's why I was on my knees in

  474. an empty hotel room in Teroro where

  475. nobody was showing up to the meetings

  476. because the money didn't show up on

  477. time.

  478. But God knew what he was doing

  479. because God had been preparing his

  480. people.

  481. and we baptize hundreds in an area where

  482. we were told we'd be lucky to baptize 50

  483. to 100.

  484. God's ways are not our ways.

  485. God's ways are bigger than our ways. And

  486. the call of God is to go to all with all

  487. power and authority. This call is not

  488. the call of God to the church. It is the

  489. call of God to every single person in

  490. the church.

  491. Did you catch that? This call isn't just

  492. to the pastors. It's to all of us. And

  493. if we all were going out and telling

  494. somebody about Jesus, each of us could

  495. bring at least one person with us to

  496. church every week. Are you following me?

  497. And if we would continue to do this, we

  498. wouldn't have a 42% net loss rate in the

  499. 7-day Adventist church.

  500. What are we going to do to change it?

  501. What are we going to do to make it make

  502. sense? There are too many people in this

  503. world who want to say, "Let's do this or

  504. let's do that."

  505. It's time that we get on our knees and

  506. say, "God, what are we going to do to

  507. make a change?

  508. What are we going to do to grow this

  509. church?"

  510. That's my my wife and I did in Point

  511. Pleasant, West Virginia, where we were

  512. told it couldn't be done.

  513. We were told, "You will never ever do

  514. anything here. you will never grow this

  515. church.

  516. That's when God comes in and says, "I'm

  517. going to give you the power to do

  518. anything

  519. possible."

  520. And God grew those churches. The Holy

  521. Spirit grew those churches. I'm wrapping

  522. up. I'm wrapping up. My brothers and

  523. sisters, we have been called to go out

  524. into all the world.

  525. We have been called

  526. to bring people to the foot of the

  527. cross.

  528. We have been called to go and tell

  529. somebody about Jesus. Not just the

  530. pastors, not just the elders, not just

  531. the children of the pastors, not just

  532. the wives of the pastors, but we have

  533. all been called to go tell somebody

  534. about Jesus.

  535. For we all must go out into all the

  536. world and then the end will come. Amen.

  537. >> In the first sermon, I told them about

  538. this young little boy.

  539. His name was Dan.

  540. He was 13 years old.

  541. His

  542. father died and his m mother abandoned

  543. him in Kenya

  544. and he made his way onto a truck onto

  545. the back of a trailer and as he made his

  546. way onto that trailer they slowly made

  547. it

  548. because this is a border town. Okay,

  549. you're on the border of Uganda right

  550. here.

  551. and he made his way to eastern Uganda,

  552. a 13-year-old boy on the streets

  553. with another 30 or 40 children.

  554. They were on the streets, folks.

  555. And this is what God wanted me to see.

  556. It wasn't about the people we were

  557. looking to baptize and the people we had

  558. been doing Bible studies with,

  559. but it was about getting these young

  560. people off the street

  561. and into homes.

  562. God performed a miracle that we didn't

  563. see because we were looking through our

  564. human perspective instead of the Holy

  565. Spirit's perspective.

  566. I don't have to look at that any longer.

  567. I don't have to look through things in a

  568. human perspective anymore because I have

  569. the Holy Spirit up in me. And when I've

  570. got the Holy Spirit in me, it doesn't

  571. make me sinless, but I start sinning

  572. less.

  573. I stop doing the things I shouldn't be

  574. doing. I stop saying the things I

  575. shouldn't be saying anymore and I start

  576. doing what God has called me to do. What

  577. has God called you to do?

  578. Each day this young man Dan would show

  579. up and I would give him 2,000 Ugandan

  580. shillings. That's a $188

  581. or a$150.

  582. And it was enough to feed him and his

  583. few friends.

  584. And on Friday evening, he said, ' Do you

  585. mind if I take this and use it to buy

  586. medication for my friends and I?

  587. We said, 'Absolutely, go ahead, use it.

  588. And I was going to bring extra money the

  589. next morning for Sabbath for him, but I

  590. forgot it because I'm not used to

  591. carrying money on me on Sabbath.

  592. I'm just used to carrying an emergency

  593. card.

  594. I preached

  595. about how I got proof that every single

  596. sinner in this room can get the glory.

  597. And that young man walked up to me

  598. and I'm digging looking for money, but I

  599. didn't have any. All I had was his card.

  600. And I'm thinking we're going to have to

  601. go back to the hotel. and he looks up at

  602. me and he's crying and he says, "Pastor,

  603. I don't want any money."

  604. He says, "Pastor, I want to be a part of

  605. that group of people you were talking

  606. about in Revelation 7. When you said

  607. that there would be a group of people, a

  608. multitude that nobody could number

  609. standing on a sea of glass, he says, "I

  610. want to be born again."

  611. My brothers and sisters, I wasn't there

  612. to do what I wanted to do. I wasn't

  613. there for for followup to something I

  614. had done two years ago. I was there to

  615. do what God had called me to do this

  616. time.

  617. So, the question I have for each of you

  618. today is, what is God calling you to do

  619. this time? I know what we've done in the

  620. past and sometimes it doesn't work,

  621. but what is God calling us to do now?

  622. God is using Adventist World Radio to

  623. bring many souls all around the world

  624. home to Jesus.

  625. And I want to go home. Don't you? I'm

  626. sick of this world. I'm sick of living

  627. in sin.

  628. I'm tired of it.

  629. God is calling you and I

  630. to go out of this church

  631. and to call his people home.

  632. What is getting in the way of you doing

  633. what the Holy Spirit is calling you to

  634. do, brothers and sisters?

  635. And those of us who don't live here in

  636. Tennessee, we've got to go home and

  637. we've got to do the same thing in our

  638. churches.

  639. We have to do the same thing in our

  640. areas.

  641. You know, I may not have my own church

  642. that I pastor anymore, but I have a

  643. church that I attend and I go out and I

  644. do Bible studies during the week.

  645. So what's your excuse?

  646. What's our excuse?

  647. It's time that we all do our part.

  648. Because when we work together

  649. in unison,

  650. that power together becomes the

  651. authority that Jesus gives so that we

  652. can go tell somebody about Jesus.

  653. Now, I know some of you, you might not

  654. like this type of preaching. And that's

  655. okay.

  656. You're not going to like every preacher.

  657. It's not about the preacher. It's about

  658. the Holy Spirit getting you into gear.

  659. Amen.

  660. >> It's about the Holy Spirit shifting you

  661. and pivoting you in such a way where you

  662. will stop doing what is normal, where

  663. you will stop doing what is just okay

  664. for you to do and you will start going

  665. out of your comfort zone and helping

  666. others find Jesus.

  667. Now, I don't know about you,

  668. but I'm tired

  669. and I want to go home and I'm going to

  670. go to Maryland today. I'm going to go

  671. home.

  672. But that's not the home I'm talking

  673. about.

  674. I'm ready for Jesus to come in the

  675. clouds.

  676. I'm ready for the dead in Christ to

  677. rise. I'm ready to see my dad again.

  678. I'm ready to see my loved ones again.

  679. I'm ready to see your loved ones again.

  680. So that you and I can get off this old

  681. ball of mud and we can finally go home.

  682. Come on, somebody.

  683. God is calling you and I

  684. to do what many can't do.

  685. In Acts 1:8, the word of God says this,

    Acts 1:8

  686. "But you shall receive power when the

  687. Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you

  688. shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem

  689. and in all of Judea and Samaria and to

  690. the end of the earth."

  691. Brothers and sisters, God had called me

  692. to Uganda

  693. to get those kids off the street.

  694. And you know what? I go back and I do it

  695. all again.

  696. Right now, the kids, some of them are

  697. back in schools,

  698. some of them are going to trade schools

  699. where they are learning how to weld.

  700. Well, what are we doing?

  701. What are we doing here at McDonald Road?

  702. Are we just walking driving past the

  703. building and having church and then

  704. going home? Or are we going out into the

  705. community and telling others about

  706. Jesus?

  707. Cuz I'm going to tell you what, I don't

  708. get on the airplane till 7:00 and I'm

  709. willing to go witness.

  710. Is there anybody else that wants to go

  711. do some witnessing today? Come on,

  712. somebody.

  713. Brothers and sisters, we don't have much

  714. time left. Jesus is coming soon.

  715. And it's time that we get busy and we

  716. quit being doubters

  717. and we start being team players.

  718. Your pastor needs help.

  719. The church leadership needs help. They

  720. can't do it without you. That's why

  721. Christ didn't just call the leaders, BUT

  722. HE CALLED EVERYONE.

  723. They worshiped him, but some doubted.

  724. And lo, I will be with you always, even

  725. until the end of the age.

  726. I don't know about you,

  727. but I want to follow that Jesus. I want

  728. to go out these doors.

  729. I want to take what glow tracks I have

  730. and I want to go give them out downtown.

  731. I want to pray for people. I want to

  732. tell them about the Jesus I know. I want

  733. to give them my card so they have my

  734. phone number. I want to pray with them.

  735. Tell them I will pray for whatever they

  736. need. But when are we going to get busy?

  737. But I'm sure everybody here has plans,

  738. right?

  739. We always have plans. But we can do it

  740. this week or we can do it next week.

  741. Brothers and sisters,

  742. what if this is the last day on earth?

  743. If today is the last day on earth,

  744. then I want to spend it telling somebody

  745. about Jesus Christ. I want to spend it

  746. telling somebody about the person who

  747. got me off of drugs and alcohol.

  748. A person who got me away from sin. He

  749. didn't make me sinless, but I started to

  750. sin less. Come on, somebody. You know

  751. who I'm talking about. because I'm

  752. talking about you too. And praise God, I

  753. got proof because in Revelation 7 and

  754. verse 8, we are given one of the most

  755. beautiful verses.

  756. Again, I wasn't preaching this today.

  757. And it says here,

  758. verse 9, sorry. And after these things,

  759. I looked, and behold, a great multitude,

  760. which no one could number, of all

  761. nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues,

  762. standing before the throne and before

  763. the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with

  764. palm branches in their hands, and crying

  765. out with a loud voice,

  766. saying, "Salvation

  767. belongs to our God who sits on the

  768. throne."

  769. And it belongs to the lamb. Come on,

  770. somebody. It belongs to Jesus.

  771. >> So even though we are a bunch of

  772. doubters,

  773. we can still go out and do the work that

  774. Jesus is calling us to do. Amen.

  775. >> I feel bad for the people who told me

  776. they were hungry an hour and 15 minutes

  777. ago.

  778. >> Brothers and sisters, we don't have

  779. time.

  780. The time is urgent.

  781. This is a 911 emergency.

  782. So, how many people are with me?

  783. How many people are down to start

  784. telling others about Jesus?

  785. Maybe you're busy today,

  786. then make plans tomorrow,

  787. but tomorrow's not promised.

  788. Are you all ready to share the gospel?

  789. Because we are commanded to go.

  790. And who's he going to send? He's going

  791. to send us. But he can only send us if

  792. we are willing to go.

  793. So that's my question for you today, my

  794. brothers and sisters. Are you willing to

  795. go

  796. and tell somebody

  797. about Jesus Christ?

  798. Are you willing to each one of you reach

  799. one? If that's you and you want to agree

  800. with the pastor today, then I'm going to

  801. ask that you just stand with me now

  802. as we say yes, Jesus. Yes, Lord. Yes. To

  803. your will and to your way.

  804. Brothers and sisters, there's going to

  805. come a day

  806. when we won't have the opportunity to

  807. tell people about Jesus anymore.

  808. We don't have to go to Africa to tell

  809. others about Jesus. We can do it right

  810. here at McDonald Road, Tennessee. We can

  811. do it in Chattanooga.

  812. We can do it on Rocky Top. You'll always

  813. be home sweet home to me. Good old Rocky

  814. Top. Rocky Top, Tennessee.

  815. That's what we need to be singing about

  816. heaven. And we need to be telling the

  817. people that Jesus is coming soon and he

  818. loves them.

  819. So that's my call for you today.

  820. And for the rest of you, I know you had

  821. an evangelism series. I heard

  822. maybe there's somebody who needs to be

  823. baptized.

  824. If there's someone who would like to

  825. come forward who's in baptismal classes

  826. right now

  827. or maybe needs to be rebaptized,

  828. if that's you, I'm going to ask that you

  829. just go ahead and come forward.

  830. Maybe you've already been there before.

  831. That's okay.

  832. They have three and a half pastors here.

  833. They told me I I see five and a half

  834. pastors. So, we have plenty of pastors

  835. here and plenty of church leadership,

  836. but some doubted.

  837. I don't want to be among the doubters.

  838. If there's anybody who'd like to come

  839. forward who would like to be baptized,

  840. just go ahead and come forward right

  841. now.

  842. And I want to have a special prayer with

  843. you as we close.

  844. And we'll stay here until the one comes

  845. down because I know that there's one

  846. here.

  847. Maybe there's one watching online on

  848. YouTube that's ready to make that

  849. decision.

  850. You don't have to be embarrassed because

  851. we're all here with you.

  852. And if you're not going to come down,

  853. you need to be praying that somebody's

  854. going to come down here and make that

  855. decision for Jesus today.

  856. Father in heaven,

  857. I know there's somebody here who wants

  858. to give their life fully to you.

  859. Father, I know there is someone here

  860. who doesn't want to be among the

  861. doubters,

  862. but wants to be among those who will go

  863. out and tell somebody about Jesus.

  864. Father, my prayer today as yet you will

  865. forgive us in the places where we have

  866. failed you

  867. and strengthen us in those areas.

  868. Lord, if somebody didn't feel

  869. comfortable to come to be baptized, I

  870. pray they will come up to one of the

  871. pastors or elders after the service

  872. because the best days are yet to come.

  873. Father, we love you so much and we

  874. praise your holy name for what you are

  875. doing for us on this world,

  876. but we're ready to go home. So take us

  877. home, Lord.

  878. And we will give you all the praise,

  879. honor, and glory for we pray all these

  880. things in Jesus precious name. Let

  881. everyone say amen.

  882. >> Amen.

  883. >> And amen.

  884. You know, last night we came together

  885. and we talked about what God is doing

  886. around the world.

  887. And we continued that same thing today.

  888. And I told you all during the first

  889. service, it wouldn't look like the

  890. second service.

  891. There's room for this church to grow.

  892. >> We need to grow in God's love.

  893. And in God's grace,

  894. >> amen,

  895. >> we need to quit putting a stamp on

  896. people, making a decision about who they

  897. are when you don't even know them when

  898. they walk in the door. We got to love

  899. everyone. Amen.

  900. >> We got to learn to start loving everyone

  901. because we don't know

  902. when that last day is going to be. We

  903. don't know when that last moment's going

  904. to be. We don't know when that last hour

  905. is going to be. I want to go home.

  906. >> And I'm not talking about my earthly

  907. home. I want to go to heaven.

  908. >> Father in heaven, as we close now, I

  909. pray for your Holy Spirit to guide us

  910. out of this place. Lord, I pray that we

  911. can be like the early pioneers of the

  912. church,

  913. the ones who knew Jesus was coming soon.

  914. Father, we know you are coming.

  915. And we know that it's time

  916. that we sound the battle cry, that we

  917. lift up the trumpet and loud let it ring

  918. because Jesus is coming again. Lord,

  919. forgive us where we have failed you.

  920. and direct us in the areas

  921. you'd like us to do better. For we pray

  922. it in Jesus' name. Let all those who

  923. believe say amen and amen.

  924. >> Thank you so much for joining us online

  925. here at McDonald Road. We have many

  926. people all over the world that join us

  927. for worship here and you're kind of our

  928. digital church members. Um, we value you

  929. and you're part of our church even

  930. though you're from you're from all over

  931. the world. As you join in and watch our

  932. church online, I want to give you the

  933. opportunity to participate in ministry

  934. here at McDonald Road and uh be a part

  935. of the ministry and mission that happens

  936. here. And even though you may be far

  937. away, you can still participate by by

  938. donating and giving to our church. uh

  939. participating in helping us reach our

  940. monthly goals with our church budget,

  941. reaching out um with the evangelism

  942. efforts that we have going on here. And

  943. you can participate even by returning

  944. your tithe here at McDonald Road. And

  945. you can do all of those things on our

  946. website at mrcsda.org.

  947. And so we want to invite you to not only

  948. participate by watching on but also by

  949. giving and participating through that

  950. ministry as well and returning tithes

  951. and offerings to to a church and make

  952. this your digital home church online if

  953. you're not able to go to a local church.

  954. Once again, thank you so much for

  955. joining us and being a part of our

  956. online church. We value you and want to

  957. have as many opportunities to

  959. bless each one of you.
