  9. this content with somebody else so they

  10. can be blessed as well. We're so glad

  11. that you can be a part of our online

  13. that you are blessed in your worship

  14. together with us today. God bless and

  15. enjoy our worship service.

  16. I'm extremely excited about the message

  17. today. And I'll tell you why. Cuz I

  18. didn't plan anything. All right? No,

  19. that's the truth. I didn't plan

  20. anything. But here's the good news. I've

  21. asked the Lord to let you hear what you

  22. need to hear. So it really is irrelevant

  23. what I say because nothing that I have

  24. to offer is any good, right? But God has

  25. So if you came looking, if you came

  26. looking at me, you'll say, "He looks a

  27. lot older than you." Unlike Jill,

  28. they'll say, "You look a lot older than

  29. you do on TV." Uh you you're not Yeah.

  30. all these things. Don't look in the

  31. physical. Look in the spiritual today.

  32. And so we've already prayed that uh the

  33. Lord would give you what you need to

  34. hear because that's really what it's all

  35. about. So today I'm going to be talking

  36. to you, sharing some things. We call it

  37. the miracle story of 3ABM. But the

  38. reason when coming here to McDonald

  39. Church is one of the first churches that

  40. I was able to get up and share with

  41. people about the dream to build a

  42. television station to reach the world.

  43. So that's why I was especially excited.

  44. I said, "Wow, this is like going back

  45. takes me back almost 40 years." And uh

  46. so it's amazing. And so a lot of people

  47. here in this area had was a springboard

  48. for 3ABN. And as I thought about it and

  49. we started coming, I said, "Man, this is

  50. amazing." Because all the events, all

  51. the things that happened, the support we

  52. got because I want to tell you what

  53. happened. But my daughter Melody and I,

  54. we were in 1982

  55. or few years before that, we were

  56. singing with her mother. And in 1982, on

  57. June 30th, 1982, she and her mother went

  58. into town. We lived out of town a little

  59. bit there in West Frankfurt, Southern

  60. Illinois. And they were in a car wreck

  61. and someone ran a stop sign and her

  62. mother was killed instantly. And so

  63. Melody was 11 years old. And so she and

  64. I was together. She had been thrown

  65. through the windshield. She had a lot of

  66. cuts and bruises. And so u it took her a

  67. long time. We went to the emergency

  68. room. And when we tried to let her know

  69. that she kept saying, "Where's mom and

  70. when's mom going to be here?" Oh, it's

  71. tough. All these years later thinking

  72. about her, this situation she was in.

  73. And so we went home that evening, she

  74. had a cast and she had a lot of cuts and

  75. bruises on her. So all night long, my

  76. fear was that Melody would be

  77. discouraged that she'd want to put the

  78. blame of sin, death, disease, and

  79. sickness on God when it should go on the

  80. devil. And that's exactly what happened.

  81. So many of us something happens, they

  82. say, "Why me?" You know, "Why me?

  83. Where's God? Why me?" I've said that

  84. when I was a young boy. I said, "Dad,

  85. why me?" He said, "Why not? Why not you?

  86. You're just one of several billion

  87. people on Earth. You're no different

  88. than anybody else. Why not? The rain

  89. falls on the just as well as the

  90. unjust." And so Melody and I, we were

  91. scheduled with her mother to sing in

  92. Bering Springs a couple weeks later. And

  93. when they heard about it, they called us

  94. and said, "Oh, we're so sorry about

  95. about about your wife and Melody's

  96. mother in this accident. So, we're we're

  97. going to cancel the concert." So, we

  98. talked about it. We said, "No, we're

  99. going to go." But all that night, I

  100. remember that I would sit by Melody's

  101. bed. I sat up and we talked the whole

  102. night and I would give her Bible

  103. scriptures. 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all

    1 Peter 5:7

  104. your cares on him, for he carth for

  105. you." Now, I'm a carpenter by trade at

  106. the time. my brothers and I, we had a

  107. little construction company, Shelton

  108. Construction, had been doing that for

  109. quite a few years. And so, you know, I

  110. give her 23rd Psalms, John 10:10, the

    John 10:10

  111. thief cometh not, but for to steal,

  112. kill, and to destroy, but Jesus says,

  113. I'm come to give you life and give it

  114. more abundantly. And so, all of these

  115. things I was doing, I wanted to make

  116. sure. So, by morning, I said, "Honey,

  117. we're going to have to get someone to

  118. sing for your mother's funeral." Her

  119. mother had a beautiful voice, was a

  120. singer. I said, "We're going to have to

  121. get somebody. who should we get? She

  122. said, "Daddy, I I'm going to I want to

  123. sing." Now, she's in cast and she's

  124. running a fever and she said, "I want

  125. Jesus would want me to sing and mom

  126. would want me to sing." And so, we were

  127. able to go the funeral. She literally

  128. couldn't get up to sing. She sat on the

  129. front seat and sang two songs. And I

  130. said at that point, "Lord, I want that

  131. kind of relationship with you." Now I

  132. was an Adventist born and raised my dad

  133. dad and mom they were my dad especially

  134. for years had a country band and sang

  135. country music and so my mother became an

  136. Adventist in 1951.

  137. That was the year I was born. So you can

  138. do your math on that. So 74 and getting

  139. ready next month to be 75. The young age

  140. of 75. So that's pretty young cuz some

  141. of you want somebody come up all goes

  142. 96. We have people in here. I mean,

  143. honestly, God has blessed you

  144. tremendously.

  145. So, here we are not knowing what to do,

  146. what's happened. All I know is she says,

  147. "I want to I want to sing, Lord. I want

  148. that kind of relationship." So, I was

  149. raised in the church. Anybody raised in

  150. the Adventist church? I was raised, but

  151. um I'll talk a little bit more camp

  152. meeting on some subjects actually false

  153. gospels. One of those would be legalism.

  154. And so I was raised in a pretty

  155. legalistic home is all about what you do

  156. and what you don't. And you know it's a

  157. you're looking late 50s and 60s things

  158. the world was changing. And so I was but

  159. my brother and I we had a softball team

  160. fast pitch. We love playing fast pitch

  161. softball. We do nearly 100 games a year.

  162. I mean St. Louis Cardinals I think major

  163. leagues do like 160 or something. We we

  164. do I mean play double headers at night

  165. on weekends we'd play. But my brother

  166. and I, we want to be good Adventists, we

  167. want to be good examples to everybody

  168. around us. So Friday evening, if we were

  169. in a tournament, let's say sundown this

  170. summer was, what is it here? About 8:20.

  171. So we would play Friday evening till

  172. about 8:19.

  173. Then we'd take ourselves out of the

  174. game, put in two of the guys, and then

  175. we'd say, "Now, if we won, our team won,

  176. the next night, we would play maybe for

  177. the championship." So my brother and I,

  178. it may be an hour and a half from where

  179. we live. So about 6:00 or 6:30, we'd get

  180. in our softball uniforms and we'd drive

  181. that hour and a half, Sabbath, right?

  182. We'd drive to the ball diamond and we'd

  183. sit in our cars and we'd watch the game

  184. and wait till 8:21.

  185. Then we call timeout and put ourselves

  186. in the game and finish the game. Cuz

  187. why' we do that? We want to be good

  188. Adventists. We wanted to let these

  189. people know that, hey, our religion

  190. means a lot to us. Well, that's what it

  191. was. It was religion and not

  192. relationship.

  193. There's a difference. You got it. If you

  194. don't know, it's time you learn. There's

  195. a difference between being religious

  196. because people I've talked to people,

  197. Adventists, they'll say, "Oh, I'm I'm

  198. very religious." I say, "Yeah, you know,

  199. so do people who smoke, they smoke

  200. religiously, right? Whatever it is they

  201. smoke. Alcoholics drink religiously,

  202. right? People who curse curse

  203. religiously. So that religious, that

  204. word doesn't really mean anything to to

  205. us to anything positive necessarily." So

  206. my brother and I, that's the type of

  207. relationship. But when Melody sang, I

  208. knew I couldn't have. I didn't feel like

  209. it. She lost her best friend in the

  210. world. Dad's number two. Mom was number

  211. one, but she was able to do that in a

  212. position that she physically should not

  213. have been able to do, but she did it.

  214. Lord, I want that kind of relationship.

  215. So, I didn't want to leave her. She had

  216. lost her her best friend. So, she and I

  217. I decided, you know, I'm going to quit

  218. construction and and and we'll just

  219. start we'll continue to sing. So we went

  220. to Berian Springs and we began made that

  221. our testimony that no matter what you

  222. don't give up and my relationship with

  223. God began to grow and grow and grow and

  224. I'm so thankful it's still growing

  225. today. And so we've had our ups and

  226. downs and all of so have all of you but

  227. a relationship with Jesus Christ is the

  228. most important thing today that we could

  229. ever have. And so I'm so thankful that

  230. that we Melody and I we started singing

  231. getting invitations to sing on Christian

  232. television stations. Now 1984

  233. the November 194th

  234. late night early morning I was

  235. impressed. Build a television station to

  236. reach the world with an undiluted three

  237. angels messages. One that would

  238. counteract the counterfeit. Now here's

  239. the thing about that. I didn't know what

  240. any of that meant. So, so I know I know

  241. it I knew it didn't come from me cuz I

  242. don't talk like that. I don't know

  243. anything about undil I hardly knew about

  244. the three angels messages. I would argue

  245. with you about the Sabbath, the state of

  246. the dead and all those things. I did

  247. that since grade school. I remember one

  248. fell and I about fourth, fifth grade. We

  249. got to arguing about Saturday, Sunday.

  250. So, I'm invited him out to settle it

  251. outside on the school grounds. We put we

  252. put our Bible down. That's how I was

  253. going to really teach him about the

  254. Sabbath. Right. So, so that's what

  255. happens to us sometimes. We get so

  256. caught up in all that. We We get so

  257. caught up in all of that. But now we're

  258. singing on

  259. Christian stations that's on 24/7.

  260. And there was not one Seventh Day

  261. Adventist television station. one's

  262. television station giving the Adventist

  263. or the Bible message anywhere on planet

  264. Earth. Did you know that 1984? Not one.

  265. Not one that you could turn on in 24/7.

  266. That seems impossible now with social

  267. media and all the things that we've got.

  268. Right. But that's the truth. There was

  269. not one station. So when I was impressed

  270. because everywhere I'd go, I'd say,

  271. "Lord, where are we as Seventh Day

  272. Adventists in the media? Shouldn't we be

  273. the heads and not the tales if we have

  274. the truth?" And yet nobody's doing

  275. anything. So I would say the church

  276. should do this. The church should do

  277. that. Well, I wonder why the church

  278. isn't building. So this night, November

  279. 1984, 82, sorry, 1984.

  280. Um, I want you to build a television

  281. station that will reach the world with

  282. an undiluted three angels messages, one

  283. that would counteract a counterfeit. So

  284. I'm a simple guy, don't have much of an

  285. education. And so I try to do my dad was

  286. very common sense person. And so I said,

  287. "Well, let me see. How do I figure this

  288. out?" Well, Isaiah 8:20 says, "To the

    Isaiah 8:20

  289. law and to the testimony, if they speak

  290. not according to this word, there's no

  291. light in them." So I said, "If there

  292. were a television station giving the

  293. Adventist or the Bible end time message

  294. to an end times people, would that be of

  295. the Lord or the devil?" That's pretty

  296. simple, right? Okay. Lord, that's the

  297. view. Now, here's the next thing. When

  298. we would go to these Christian stations,

  299. they they called them uh praiseons.

  300. People come on and sing and then they'd

  301. get in and say, "Little grandma, we need

  302. your $5 and we need yours. You know,

  303. we've got to have this money. We're

  304. going to have to turn our lights out.

  305. And you know, if you'll if you'll if

  306. you'll give us $100, I'll have so and so

  307. here pray over this handkerchief. And if

  308. your husband's not a Christian, put it

  309. under his pillow at night and and he'll

  310. give his life to Jesus." I mean all

  311. kinds of gimmicks. There was more

  312. gimmicks in the church than I thought

  313. the Christian church and some of this

  314. more phony than than the world. And I'm

  315. like this cuz we it was an eye openener

  316. for me to go see how the people lived

  317. and how they acted off camera and all of

  318. this stuff. And it's like wow this is

  319. amazing Lord where are we as Seventh Day

  320. Adventists in the media? So I said

  321. didn't know if you're supposed to

  322. bargain with God or not but I said I'll

  323. go forward on two conditions. if this

  324. really is you, I'll go forward, but I

  325. won't beg for money because that's what

  326. these people I call them begathons. I

  327. said, I won't beg for money and I won't

  328. borrow money. Now, the second one was

  329. easy. I didn't have any credit.

  330. I didn't have to worry about going to a

  331. bank and them loaning me any money at

  332. the time. Right? So, my dad used to say,

  333. "Son," I'd say, "You got any lunch

  334. money, Dad, for school?" He said, "Son,

  335. I'd love to give you some, but I'm

  336. financially embarrassed." He would say,

  337. "I don't have enough money to feed a

  338. sick chicken." Well, we were almost that

  339. bad when it come to building a

  340. television station that we didn't have

  341. any money. But yet, I knew and for some

  342. reason never doubted that wasn't God.

  343. Cuz I said, I'll go forward. See the

  344. blessings on the go. What you just read

  345. on the scripture while ago. Thank you,

  346. son. On the scripture, go ye into all

  347. the world. So, I want to tell you today,

  348. I'm not just telling you stories about

  349. 3A and what happened. And I want you to

  350. think about your own life and your own

  351. relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

  352. The blessing of God is on the go. When

  353. you go forward, God will open the doors.

  354. If he tells you what to do, Walt

  355. Thompson, one of our board members, used

  356. to say years ago, if the Lord tells you

  357. to do something, he's counted his

  358. resources in advance and found he's not

  359. wanting.

  360. >> Right? Ain't that great confidence?

  361. The Lord's in people will come up to me

  362. and they'll say, "Oh, Danny, I've got

  363. this great idea that you should do." And

  364. and they'll tell me some great idea. And

  365. I say, "Why should I do that? I'm doing

  366. television. If the Lord impressed you to

  367. do it, you do it."

  368. >> Amen.

  369. >> Right? People said, "Well, you could do

  370. that because you I said, "No, you don't

  371. need anything. You and God, that's all

  372. you need." So, other words, the blessing

  373. of God is on the go, not just pushing it

  374. off to somebody else. So I said, 'Lord,

  375. we'll go forward, but you have to supply

  376. every need. From that day on, God be to

  377. bless incredibly. But what I didn't

  378. realize is how much opposition there

  379. would be in the church. Now, we talk

  380. about all these other churches having

  381. been steeped into tradition and all

  382. this, but we don't dare talk about

  383. ourselves, but honestly, we're caught up

  384. in a lot of that, too. Now, this was 40

  385. years ago. There was very few

  386. independent or supporting ministries.

  387. So, I'm all excited because I know that

  388. God's impressed me. We're going to be

  389. all all these other TV ptl, TBN, Jim and

  390. Tammy, you know, all of those folks.

  391. Some of you younger kids won't know who

  392. that who they are, but some some of you

  393. older ones will. I said, man, we're

  394. going to be out there and and we're

  395. going to counteract all of that 7th day

  396. Adventist message. We're going to do it.

  397. God's going to bless. Lord, we'll go

  398. forward. you supply every need. So we

  399. start going forward and I thought

  400. everybody when I said the Lord's

  401. impressed me to build it, I'd say with

  402. enthusiasm, the Lord's impressed me to

  403. build a television station to reach the

  404. world told people locally. Well, they

  405. knew me. I was raised, we were raised in

  406. a poor family who's poor, five kids, and

  407. my dad was disabled when I was very

  408. young age. He was 36 years old. So we

  409. literally had to make our way and work

  410. and do everything. We, my mother and I,

  411. we'd mop house. um paint houses, mop

  412. floors. We carried in coal for all the

  413. neighbors back then, young folk. We used

  414. to get coal buckets and had stoves

  415. inside and you you burn all that and

  416. then take the ashes out. We do anything

  417. we could do to to to make a living. And

  418. so here we are. Lord, we'll go forward.

  419. I'm going keep going to this. The

  420. blessing is on the what?

  421. >> Lord, we'll go forward, but you must

  422. supply every need. So I said, "Okay,

  423. what is it that we can do? I don't know

  424. what to do. I'm just going to go

  425. forward." So I began to tell everybody,

  426. "We're going to build a television

  427. station to reach the world." And they

  428. were like, "Hm, they're thinking I know

  429. him. He's a carpenter. He's 30 33 years

  430. old.

  431. You've never done anything like that."

  432. And I thought everybody would be I said,

  433. "Aren't you excited? We'll have an

  434. Adventist television station." So

  435. finally somebody called me and said,

  436. "Hey, the media Adventist media center

  437. in California, they're having in a few

  438. weeks they're going to have what some of

  439. the well-known speakers are going to

  440. teach people about media." Now, we

  441. didn't have social media, any of that

  442. back then. So I thought, "Wow, this is

  443. going to be great. They're going to

  444. teach us about media." So, if you're

  445. doing radio, nobody even would dream of

  446. doing television, but if you got a radio

  447. spot or a health tip you want on a local

  448. radio channel, just come out here and

  449. you can ask them questions. And so, I

  450. was excited. I didn't have any money.

  451. And somebody actually called and said,

  452. "Well, you know what? I'll pay your

  453. plane ticket for you to go out there. I

  454. think it'd be good to talk to these

  455. people and if you're going to get into

  456. television, you need to hear from the

  457. pros." I said, "Okay." Okay. So, I flew

  458. flew to Thousand Oaks and I won't give

  459. any names because you'd some of you

  460. would know who they are. But, so the

  461. first day there was a crowd less than

  462. what's in here. And the first day people

  463. would just they'd call them up and say,

  464. "Come up and give us your name and tell

  465. us where you're from and what it is you

  466. want to do in media." So, they'd come up

  467. and my name's John Doe and you know, the

  468. Lord's impressed me. I'm doing a

  469. twominute uh two-minute health tip on a

  470. local radio station. and everybody would

  471. clap.

  472. Everybody's praise the Lord. Next one

  473. get up and say I'm going to do a

  474. fiveminute radio spot. And almost all of

  475. them was we're going to do a health tip

  476. cuz you can't do a lot more in five

  477. minutes, right? It's hard to get on the

  478. radio. So nobody mentioned television.

  479. Finally, one guy said, "I want to build

  480. or I I want to put some programs on

  481. television." And they thought, "Oh my,

  482. that's just an amazing thing." I

  483. couldn't wait. It seemed like hour after

  484. hour after hour and I said, "That's all

  485. we This is something big. This is going

  486. to help everybody. We don't have to

  487. settle for a minute here or there or two

  488. minutes. This is going to be great and

  489. people will be so happy about this." So,

  490. he finally calls me up, young man. I was

  491. young at the time, right? He says, "Uh,

  492. young man," he said, "Uh, give us your

  493. name, where you from, and what is it

  494. you're going to do?" Danny Shelton from

  495. Southern Illinois. The Lord's impressed

  496. me to build a television station that

  497. will reach the world with an undiluted

  498. three angels message is one that would

  499. counteract the counterfeit.

  500. You you could hear a pin drop. Nobody

  501. said a word. And I thought they can't

  502. they didn't hear that. I mean, why are

  503. we talking about one minute radio here

  504. or there locally? We're talking about

  505. reaching the world. So the guy looked

  506. over at me. He said, "You're going to do

  507. what?" He he was the host and one of the

  508. media people. You're going to do what? I

  509. said, "Build a television station to

  510. reach the world." So, let me get this

  511. straight. You're going to build a

  512. television station to reach the world.

  513. So, I began to say, "Either I don't talk

  514. plain or he doesn't understand cuz we're

  515. having some communicate, real

  516. communication problems here. What's hard

  517. to understand?" So, you're going to be

  518. able to I said, "Yes, sir." Okay. People

  519. still quiet. You could hear pin drops.

  520. Okay. Let me ask you something.

  521. are you are you wealthy? I said no. He

  522. had no idea how unwealthy. I said I said

  523. I didn't have money to go out there.

  524. Somebody paid my way out there. So I

  525. said no I'm not wealthy. Well let me ask

  526. you another. Are you an engineer?

  527. I said no. Now you're not an engineer

  528. here. I thought here he goes again.

  529. Something's wrong. So you're not an

  530. engineer. You're not wealthy. No. And do

  531. you know anything about television? I

  532. said no. I was saying in front of the

  533. camera, but I've never, you know, been

  534. behind it. I don't know anything. So,

  535. let me get this straight. You don't know

  536. anything about Do you have an education

  537. in communications at all? No. Last

  538. question. I thought I did okay answering

  539. so far. Last question. He said, "Well,

  540. let me ask you." And instead of talking

  541. to me, I was right here. He would look

  542. out at the audience like, "Let me ask

  543. you a question." So I thought this

  544. didn't this I don't feel like he you

  545. know taking me serious on this thing. So

  546. he says let me let me ask you a

  547. question.

  548. Do you have a perspectus?

  549. And I looked at him and I thought I have

  550. never heard that word in my life.

  551. So I said well um I don't I don't think

  552. so.

  553. He said you don't think so. Now here I

  554. go again. I just told him I don't think

  555. so. And then he's like, "You don't think

  556. so." So hearing or me, I'm not sure what

  557. it was. Maybe some of both. I said,

  558. "No." And he said, "So you don't have a

  559. perspectus." And I thought again. I

  560. said, "I guess I don't. I would know if

  561. I if I knew such a thing." So I said,

  562. "No." So he said, "So let me ask I said,

  563. "Can I ask you a question?" I was kind

  564. of getting tired of this really. So I

  565. said, "Let me ask you a question if you

  566. don't mind."

  567. Okay. And there's a couple hundred

  568. people there. I wanted to be very, you

  569. know, as nice as I could about it. I

  570. said, "Let me ask you a question. You

  571. don't seem very excited

  572. that instead of I said, like the media

  573. center, you guys produce, you know, all

  574. your different programs, but they're

  575. only halfhour programs that go on some

  576. cities once a week around the United

  577. States. They don't cover near even North

  578. America, let alone the the the world.

  579. And if nothing's 247, it's just a

  580. halfhour program. I thought you'd be all

  581. excited. I said, 'You don't seem very

  582. happy that there's going to be an

  583. Adventist or television station giving

  584. Adventist program 24/7 around the world.

  585. He said to my surprise, "No, I'm not."

  586. And I said, "Oh." I said, "Why not? Can

  587. I ask?" Figure it's my turn to ask a few

  588. questions. So, why not? And he said,

  589. "Have you ever heard of the Adventist

  590. financial pie?" And he went like this. I

  591. said, "No, sir." And he said, "Every

  592. time somebody, there's only so many

  593. slices. And every time somebody like you

  594. gets up with a big idea, you're going to

  595. do something big. My financial slice of

  596. the pie gets thinner cuz people will

  597. quit giving to us and they'll give to

  598. people like you." And I remember I said,

  599. "Well, that may be, but if you look in

  600. the refrigerator, God's got a lot more

  601. pies. So, I'm not I'm

  602. I'm not sure why you want to fight. For

  603. my God shall supply

  604. >> all of your needs according to his

  605. riches in glory. I can do

  606. >> through Christ who strengthens me. And

  607. we know that all things work together

  608. for good, right? I mean, all these

  609. scriptures going through my mind. And

  610. he's worried about his slice, the

  611. financial slice of the pie. I mean,

  612. okay, that that's fine if that's what

  613. you want to do. But I didn't know

  614. anything about it. So, basically what

  615. they were telling me, he said, "This is

  616. impossible for you to do because if you

  617. if this could be done, we would do it as

  618. a church. We would already have done

  619. it." I said, "Well, other churches are

  620. doing it. Other Christians are doing it.

  621. Look at PTL and TBN. They're already

  622. doing it." No, it's too expensive. It'll

  623. never happen. So, I was surprised

  624. at the opposition that I would get. And

  625. when I would talk to some of the church

  626. leaders, I actually had some fly from DC

  627. to come and talk to me because they

  628. heard about it. And then they're like,

  629. why would you be telling everybody, I

  630. said, it's just what the Lord said to

  631. do. And then we'd go through the whole

  632. thing. So, you're a carpenter? I said,

  633. yes, sir. And and you're going to build

  634. a station, reach the world. Yeah. And

  635. we'd go through all of that. Didn't get

  636. didn't really get any support. And I

  637. said, man, this thing is tougher. I

  638. don't see why people not getting the

  639. vision. Then some really great things

  640. happened. The blessing of God is on the

  641. >> go. Right. So we were my brother and I,

  642. we went by faith. A woman gave us, I

  643. won't go through, don't have time to go

  644. through the whole thing, but a lady

  645. donate, not non-adventist lady donated

  646. us two acres of property. That two acres

  647. of property, if you've ever been to How

  648. many been to 3ABN? You've probably been

  649. out there and you've seen it where that

  650. big 30 30 foot diameter dish was there

  651. from way back in the late middle 1980s

  652. and a lady gave us 2 acres of property

  653. and and all the property in southern

  654. Illinois that's the only one that would

  655. shoot microwave signals to satellite

  656. 22,300 miles to space without any

  657. interference from M Bell we call it or

  658. any other technical it was amazing

  659. exactly what we needed where we needed

  660. and you can watch. We got a tape uh Jim

  661. Gilly used to say it's a a DVD on

  662. mending broken people and it's just a

  663. little bit short of the length of Gone

  664. with the Wind. So you you may not want

  665. to watch it all at one time, but but at

  666. least watch what you can of it. But it

  667. tells these miracle stories. So here we

  668. are.

  669. I'm like, Lord, this is this is amazing.

  670. I don't know what to do. I'll go

  671. forward. People aren't that you know.

  672. Then some people said, "Yeah, well this

  673. person said tell cuz they already paid

  674. for one trip." But then somebody said

  675. you need to go out to ASI. They're

  676. having Well, I'd never heard of ASI. I

  677. had no idea what it was. But my brother

  678. and I, we decided, you know what? We got

  679. the we got the the property. So we

  680. figured up we need 1,400 foot make a

  681. little gravel road. It was getting fall.

  682. We didn't want to be rained out. We

  683. needed $6,000. So we prayed for it.

  684. There's a lot of money. We were buying

  685. diesel fuel five gallons at a time,

  686. pouring it in the the uh literally we

  687. had had a had a backhole there that a

  688. friend had let us use and we'd do that

  689. till we run out of money. But it seemed

  690. like the $5 we'd keep filling it up. So

  691. one day some people came. They're from

  692. Cleveland, Tennessee. Marvin and Rosella

  693. Mcculpin. Anybody ever knew the

  694. Mcculpins? Okay. A few hands went up.

  695. Marvin and Rosella Mcculpin. Older

  696. folks. They're so old, they're probably

  697. almost as old as I am now. And so these

  698. folks came and they said, "We want to

  699. hear what you see what you're doing."

  700. Was that where you from? We're from

  701. Tennessee around the Cleveland area and

  702. we heard you're going to build a

  703. television station to reach the world

  704. Adventist. I said, "Yeah, it's what

  705. we're planning." He said, "Do you mind

  706. if we come and just watch what you're

  707. doing?" We said, "Okay." So we, my

  708. brother and I, as I said, we don't plan

  709. a lot. When we went to do the building,

  710. we had a long tape and so we said,

  711. "Let's see what size does this need to

  712. be if we're going to build studios and

  713. production facilities." So, um, I had

  714. the end that you carry. My brother had

  715. the smart in. I had the one that you

  716. just te and he tells you how far. So, I

  717. started walking and, uh, I said, "How

  718. how do you like this?" Went about 70 ft.

  719. He said, "Looks good to me." I said,

  720. "Well, if you like that, maybe you like

  721. this better." So I went a little farther

  722. and instead said 100 ft. I said you

  723. really like well let's just keep going

  724. till our tape runs out. Well that was

  725. about 150 ft. So we did the same way

  726. with the width about 70 ft or what have

  727. you. We said that's the building we're

  728. going to build. Now I had a little bit

  729. of experience of drawing blueprints and

  730. what have you for people cuz we were

  731. building houses quarter inch scale very

  732. simple. So I said okay let's do that. So

  733. we're going to build it. So here came

  734. the mccauins. Mccau came in a Marvin

  735. Rosella from Cleveland. They were on

  736. their way going up Michigan to do some

  737. project. They stopped by. So they said

  738. they put up their station wagon, let the

  739. tailgate down, and we just set for hours

  740. while my brother had to back and he was

  741. digging and we were trying to set the

  742. footings. And so they get ready. So they

  743. watched us for two or three days. Second

  744. day we were hungry. It's about 1:00 in

  745. the afternoon. And I said, "Uh, you guys

  746. want to go in with us?" I said, "Little

  747. town in Benton." I said, "They have a

  748. little bonanza restaurant there. You

  749. could get a all you can eat for like

  750. $6.95." Then I said, "You want to go

  751. with us?" And they said, "Go in. You eat

  752. at a restaurant." I said, "Well,

  753. sometimes." Yeah. They said, "Oh, no. We

  754. wouldn't waste money like that. Why

  755. don't you eat with us? We have plenty of

  756. food in the car." I said, "Okay, what do

  757. you got?" They had a can of green beans

  758. unopened, right? and a marshmallow or a

  759. cantaloupe that would looked like it had

  760. been good two weeks before, right? And

  761. then they had a loaf of bread and they

  762. said, "Where would you get a better meal

  763. than this?" My mind was saying about

  764. anywhere cuz I don't I didn't that

  765. didn't but you know you want to be nice

  766. to them but I said okay you know you

  767. know what we're not that hungry. I said

  768. we we'll just we'll work through it you

  769. know and it's like man so what do these

  770. people want? They're just sitting there.

  771. So the next day they came. Well, he

  772. said, "I hate to be a doubter, but we

  773. got to leave tomorrow, but you're

  774. digging all these footings. What if it

  775. rains? You don't have any money to pour

  776. the concrete. What if it rains?" I said,

  777. "Well, I guess we have a river for

  778. Jesus." I don't know. I said, "I'm just

  779. know that unless we go forward, God

  780. won't supply the needs." The blessing of

  781. God I knew back then was on the go. So

  782. they just watched us Friday. They said,

  783. "Well, can we meet with you for just a a

  784. few minutes?" We said, "Sure." So he

  785. says, 'Well, I've been watching what

  786. you're doing and I believe that there's

  787. a need for a television station to reach

  788. the world and I decided that I wanted to

  789. give you a check. Well, I said, "Oh,

  790. great. Praise the Lord." We had already

  791. looked at a building. It just to shell

  792. up the building at the time was going to

  793. be about $50,000 and that wouldn't get

  794. it done, but it' get us a roof over on

  795. top of the building so we could be out

  796. of the winter winter weather. So he

  797. said, "I want to give you a check for

  798. $25,000."

  799. And she said, "And I want to give a

  800. check for $25,000, too." They gave us

  801. $50,000.

  802. Now, here's the here's the amazing

  803. thing. They said, "But you got to hold

  804. it a few days." We said, "Well, okay."

  805. You know, we'll hold it. Don't try to

  806. cash it right away. I said, "Okay." So,

  807. they left. And you said, "Well, I hope

  808. this is going to cash eventually, but

  809. what great news." So a few days later,

  810. we called the bank and said, "Could we

  811. cash?" They said, "Yeah, there's money

  812. in your account. You can cash it." He

  813. came up 6 months later and he said, "I

  814. want to tell you a story. When I we

  815. wrote those checks to you, we didn't

  816. have any money in the bank." He's 77

  817. years old at the time. We didn't have

  818. any money in the bank. So he said, "I

  819. went home and I said, we're going to

  820. we'll take a mortgage out on our house

  821. that's paid for." But he said, "I had

  822. bought some property and and he'd gone

  823. in with some of you know Bill Hollyy.

  824. I'd bought some property with Bill Hoy

  825. and a guy came by and wanted to buy it

  826. and I cleared $50,000 on the deal.

  827. Come on people, you got to be awake

  828. better than that.

  829. You don't have to be mathematicians to

  830. figure that out." He made He cleared

  831. $50,000. The blessing of God is on the

  832. >> go. So when God's impressing you to do

  833. something, go. Don't wait for the

  834. windows of he oh pour out the windows of

  835. heaven, you know, and and all these

  836. bless. No, go and then God will open the

  837. windows of heaven. So now we have the

  838. $50,000

  839. that we need. So we we we get the the

  840. footings poured. We start shell up a

  841. building and somebody said there's ASI.

  842. is in August and it's going to be in Big

  843. Sky, Montana. That's 1985. Going to be

  844. in Big Sky, Montana. Why don't you go

  845. out there and talk to some of the

  846. people? I said, I don't know who ASI is.

  847. Well, it's a national organization. They

  848. only had about probably 250 people at

  849. the time. Why don't you go out to ASI

  850. and uh and and talk to them? And I said,

  851. well, we don't really have the money to

  852. do it. So, this guy called me from San

  853. Diego and he said, I heard about that

  854. and and I'm impressed. You should go.

  855. And I said, "Well, if the Lord sends the

  856. money, I'll go." Well, I hung up the

  857. phone. He calls right back and says,

  858. "Well, the Lord's impressed me to pay

  859. your tickets out to ASI." Marvin and

  860. Rosella said, "From here, we're going to

  861. go out there and we want to introduce

  862. you to some of the ASI people uh out

  863. there and tell them your story." So, I

  864. said, "Sure." So we go out and they're

  865. in their excitement, they said they'd go

  866. to the leaders and say, "This young man,

  867. he's he's going to build an Adventist

  868. television station. Is there any way we

  869. can put him on the the schedule?" Well,

  870. if anybody's into scheduling we do with

  871. television, people don't just show up

  872. and we say, "Okay, yeah, we'll put you

  873. on." Right? So I didn't blame them and I

  874. was like, "Don't do no, no, no. We we

  875. people have got to hear your story." So

  876. then they would say, "Well, how about at

  877. 9:00 at night when the meetings are over

  878. if we get people together?" So they were

  879. telling everybody there's an Adventist

  880. going to be an Adventist television

  881. station. It's going to reach the world.

  882. So finally I said, somebody came up from

  883. ASI and they said, "We hate to say this,

  884. but we don't really know you. We don't

  885. know anything about you. So you're not

  886. going to be uh upfront uh this year

  887. talking." And I said, "No, I'm not

  888. trying to do that. I I wouldn't do that.

  889. I've been offered to do after I'm if the

  890. Lord wants me to speak, you know, we'll

  891. speak. I said, "Okay." So, that was like

  892. Thursday. Friday afternoon was a free

  893. day. Some of you in here, Ellsworth,

  894. McKe and others in here can tell you cuz

  895. they were there back then. And so, it

  896. was a free day and they were 7,500 ft up

  897. in the mountain. So, everybody was could

  898. take your ski rides and look at the

  899. beautiful area. But what happened Friday

  900. morning, I went into one of the meetings

  901. and there was about a couple hundred

  902. people there. It came a downpour. It

  903. started raining so hard that you were in

  904. the clouds. When you're 7,500 ft, you

  905. can't see anything. It was pouring down

  906. raining, right? Well, all afternoon

  907. people were supposed to be out on rides

  908. having free time. So, I'm sitting there

  909. and I look over. I'd been introduced to

  910. a guy named Phil Winstead and Henry

  911. Martin. Henry Martin was vice president

  912. out in from Oregon. Bill Winstead, he

  913. was the president. They were back about

  914. as far as those back doors. And I looked

  915. over and I saw them go like this. So I

  916. said, "They're not talking to me. They

  917. don't know who I am." So I sat there and

  918. I'd look over again and they'd go like

  919. this. So finally I thought this I don't

  920. want to embarrass myself. So I'd go like

  921. like this and look over and they'd go.

  922. So then then I would still look around

  923. me. I said, "Okay, this is going to I

  924. don't want to get up." So finally I

  925. said, "Well, what I'll do is I'll get up

  926. to myself. I'm debating this. I'll get

  927. up and I'll walk and if they don't say

  928. anything, I'll just walk past them like

  929. I'm going to the bathroom. If if if they

  930. want me, they'll stop me." So I get

  931. close to them and they introduce

  932. themselves and they said, "We've been

  933. hearing about your story to build a

  934. television station to reach the world."

  935. I said, "Yes." And they said, "Well, as

  936. you can see, it's supposed to be this

  937. afternoon free time, but it's going to

  938. rain all day. It's going to rain all

  939. afternoon. Could we impose on you to

  940. tell your story to our audience to this

  941. afternoon?" Now, come on.

  942. >> Was that coincidence or divine

  943. providence?

  944. >> Come on, folks. There's no such thing as

  945. coincidence.

  946. It's okay to give God a hand. We're not

  947. giving people, we take credit for all

  948. the bad things and God gets the credit

  949. for the good things. So there we met so

  950. many people number of them for right

  951. here from Collegedale. One of the things

  952. Marvin and Rosella said, you got to be

  953. meet a man named Bill Hollyy. And so we

  954. went I went and met Bill Hoy. Bill

  955. Myrtle wonderful people. Anybody know

  956. him? Anybody remember Myrtle and Bill

  957. great people and from this area and so

  958. Bill caught the vision. He said, 'Th

  959. that's that's really really good. Have

  960. you talked to the McKes yet? And I said,

  961. 'N no. Um he said, ' Do you know them?'

  962. And I said, 'Well, in a way, cuz I've

  963. had them in my cabinets for years and

  964. and I know them, but I never met any of

  965. them personally. Uh but you know, um so

  966. he said, "Well, I think you need to

  967. meet." So we ended up meeting and M

  968. Chong was another woman there. they end

  969. up meeting and all of a sudden things

  970. begin to change. So finally when we were

  971. getting up a we needed a a 10 10 meter

  972. dish 30 foot big dish to go to take to

  973. satellite to shoot 22,300

  974. mi to space is about 375,000.

  975. We didn't have any money. So we needed

  976. some money to do that. Well these people

  977. got together and said you know what

  978. we'll come up with some of it if you can

  979. come up with the rest of it. the Lord

  980. blessed and all that money came in. I

  981. could go in more detail, but I don't

  982. want to embarrass anybody. I don't want

  983. to say more, but I'm just going to say

  984. people from this area jumped on board

  985. and begin to help in any way that they

  986. could. So, this went up. So, now while

  987. we were there and I gave my talk that

  988. afternoon, there was a really young

  989. couple, nice couple. I loved them. Never

  990. met them, a little bit younger than me.

  991. Their names was Dan and Karen Hton. And

  992. anybody know the Htons? Any Htons? Okay,

  993. some of you do. Well, they were their

  994. little job was they had their cassette

  995. recorders and they recorded every

  996. meeting, then they would make tapes and

  997. people could buy the tapes of all the

  998. meetings. So Karen and Dan, they taped

  999. and then as they begin to give these

1000. tapes away, people from all across the

1001. United States would say, "Man, we heard

1002. your story. This is amazing. We want to

1003. help." Well, just a few years ago, K.

1004. Koosma sent me, she was there at the

1005. meetings. She sent me, Terry Mortyn was

1006. there, he's here today. Uh, he was at

1007. the meetings. She sent me one of the

1008. cassettes and said, "This is your

1009. original talk. The first time you

1010. first time you ever got up and talked to

1011. a crowd about 3ABN, and this your

1012. original talk?" And I said, "Well, I

1013. want to hear this." I listened to it for

  1014. five minutes and I said, "I wouldn't

1015. give that guy a penny.

  1016. I mean, honestly, he's had such a

1017. hillbilly talk about him. He didn't know

1018. anything. He didn't know how much it was

1019. going to cost. He didn't know. And

1020. that's what the media center. Another

1021. thing the guy said, "Well, let me ask

1022. you this. How much will it cost to build

1023. a station to reach the world?" I said,

1024. "I have no idea." So, you're going to

1025. build a television station, reach the

1026. world, you don't know how much it costs.

  1027. I said, "No, it's irrelevant because I

  1028. don't care if it cost 500,000 or 50

1029. million cuz it's not me raising the

1030. money. The Lord said, "Go ye." And if we

1031. do it, whatever it costs, God will

1032. supply every need. So, I want to let you

1033. know because I could, as you can tell, I

1034. could go on for hours giving God the

1035. credit for what he's God's willing to

1036. use anybody who's willing to be used.

1037. >> And it's all about just going forward by

1038. faith right now. It's no accident that

1039. each and every one of you are here.

1040. You're here in the closing moments of

1041. Earth history because God has something

1042. mighty and marvelous for you to do in

1043. these closing moments of Earth history.

1044. I don't care how young you are, how old

1045. you are. You're here for by design. And

1046. I'm so glad, Brother Hton, when I came

1047. to this church, I came early purposely.

1048. I like to talk to people. Our church is

1049. changing a lot like the world is

1050. changing a lot. And I was really happy

1051. that I didn't have to get up and start

1052. my sermon, but I did last week was, "Can

1053. anybody tell me the difference between a

  1054. man and a woman?"

1055. Yeah. Some of our Adventist churches

1056. now, I have to ask them that question.

1057. How many genders are there? And they

1058. look at you like, "What?" You know, so

1059. I'm glad you're not that way. So I said,

1060. "Okay, now we can just talk about other

1061. stuff. I don't have to worry about all

1062. that foolishness going on that the devil

1063. is working and trying to do." So right,

1064. we don't care what the devil does. As

1065. long as we go forward, God will supply

1066. every need. So I want you to think about

1067. your life and what God has planned for

1068. you. No matter how young or how old,

1069. have you really submitted and committed

1070. your life to Jesus? Do you have are are

1071. you religious or do you have a

1072. relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ?

1073. One that you're excited every day when

1074. you wake up. No, you may not feel good.

1075. You got some aches and pains. You got

1076. whatever going on. You got financial

1077. problems. You got all kinds of problems.

1078. But you're excited that God's given you

1079. another day that you can witness to

1080. somebody. You see, you you that's what

1081. God's called us to do. He said, "Go ye

1082. into all the world, make disciples,

1083. right? Teaching them to observe

1084. >> some things." All that little word all

1085. keeps popping up, doesn't it? Continues

1086. to observe all things that I have

1087. commanded you. God has given us as a

1088. people, as Seventh Day Adventists, an

1089. end times message for an end times

1090. people. No one else has that message. No

1091. one else is preaching the the three

1092. angels messages. And yeah, is it

1093. sometimes diluted? Now, 40 years later,

1094. I say, boy, I was impressed to build a

1095. television station to reach the world

1096. with an undiluted three of those

1097. messages. So maybe there is some

1098. counterfeit going on. I'm going to talk

1099. about that at camp meeting in a few

1100. weeks. some of the false gospels that

1101. have made their way into the Adventist

1102. church. I'm not going to do that today.

1103. We're going to keep this one exactly

1104. where it is. God has something marvelous

1105. for you to do. You get no credit. If you

1106. take credit, you mess it all up. But all

1107. you do is go forward and say, "Lord, I'm

1108. available. What do you want me to do?" I

1109. see people like, and I don't mean to

1110. embarrass them. Dr. Markhamm and his

1111. wife are here that you know cardiologist

1112. right here from this area yet he's got

1113. literature he's got Bible scriptures he

1114. not only does programs on 3ABN but

1115. anything you do he sends you it talks

1116. about Jesus and it always leads you to

1117. the cross of Calvary leads you leads you

1118. to a relationship with the Lord Jesus

1119. Christ that's what God wants us to do

1120. some of you in business you say well I

1121. can't some people say well you know you

1122. got the gift of gab and and I don't have

1123. the gift of gab and I was at a church

1124. out in Texas and so we were eating lunch

1125. afterwards and I had said to people you

1126. know God has something for you to do. So

1127. one guy come up he said do you mind if I

1128. sit here and talk to you? I said sure go

1129. ahead. He said well when you're saying

1130. that about you know go witness, go do

  1131. this. I'm a I'm a quiet guy. I don't I

  1132. I'm not a good communicator. I I can't

1133. talk that well. you know, I I just I'm

1134. not that good and at doing it. I said,

1135. "Really?" He said, "No." So, I had heard

1136. him, he and his wife, they were talking

1137. to two other people, and the one the

1138. other people was saying right before

1139. that in line pot, they said, "Man, that

1140. you got such a beautiful home. It's

1141. just," he said, "Oh, we're so blessed to

1142. have that new home. It's a big,

1143. beautiful home." So, I said, "I just

1144. heard you got a new house." I said,

1145. "Congratulations." He said, "Oh, thank

  1146. you." I said, "Uh,

1147. I said, 'What'd you pay for it?" Well,

1148. what do you mean? I said, 'Well, there's

1149. an asking price and then there's a

  1150. price. I said, 'Most Adventists don't

1151. like to just pay what they're asking. I

1152. said, did you give the guy Did you talk

1153. him down is what I'm trying to say. Oh,

1154. yeah, absolutely. I got a great deal on

1155. it. I said, you just told me you

  1156. couldn't talk. You just said, I don't

1157. have the gift of gab. But see, what

1158. happens when it comes to our own things?

1159. Suddenly, we do. if we're going to buy a

1160. new car. Oh, now we got the gift to get.

1161. Wait a minute. I'm not going to pay

1162. that. I want to pay this. When it comes

1163. to sharing the gospel, well, that's just

1164. not my for my forte. I I can't do it.

1165. God has something for each and every one

1166. of you to do. And I'm sorry that I'm

1167. going to have to to close with this

1168. because I'm going to wear you out. And I

1169. know we got potluck and afternoon

1170. service, but please think about it and

1171. pray about it. Lord, what would you have

1172. me to do right now?

1173. this church, we're in trouble.

1174. Now, bad news and good news. We're in He

1175. got awfully quiet on me. Everybody got

1176. awfully quiet. See, we don't like to

1177. deal with our own problems sometimes. We

1178. It's easy to deal about it for everybody

1179. else. If I stood up and said the

1180. Catholic Church got all these issues,

1181. we'd all be saying, "Amen." But if I say

1182. we have issues, you know, everybody, you

1183. can hear the pin drop again.

1184. But the good news is I tell people the

1185. church is a mess. We ought to know. We

1186. travel, we we meet people all the time.

1187. And my lovely wife, Ivonne, don't we? We

1188. meet people all the time. And and we

1189. say, "How in the world are these people

1190. Adventists? They no longer support what

1191. we've been taught and are teaching for

1192. 150 years. It's okay to murder babies.

1193. It's okay to, you know, to all I won't

1194. get into it today, but all of these

1195. things h how do how are we getting into

  1196. that?" Then I say, "We're in a shaking."

1197. So the good news is we are in a shaking.

1198. If you don't know it, you need to ask

1199. God to wake you up spiritually. We're in

1200. the middle of a shaking, which is great

1201. because everything's wheat and shafts

1202. going to be right. It's going to be

1203. separated and then then God's remnant

1204. church is going to come forward. So

1205. what's going to happen? The church will

1206. appear to fall. Have you ever heard that

  1207. statement before? I didn't make it up. I

1208. didn't make that up. The church will

1209. appear to fall. But God's people will

1210. never fall. Those who are willing to

1211. give their lives unto death if necessary

1212. for the cause of God, they will be

  1213. there. They're called a remnant people.

1214. And we have an opportunity, you and me,

1215. to be part of the remnant church. But

1216. before that happens, there's going to be

1217. a great shaking and then a great

1218. revival. The latter rain is going to be

  1219. poured out.

1220. >> Boy, you could we couldn't be living in

  1221. a more exciting time.

  1222. >> I mean, you turn on the news, it's a

1223. mess. And then you say, "Wait a minute.

  1224. That's all been foretold. We're right

1225. there. You see what people are doing in

1226. the church and dressing like and talking

1227. about and all of this stuff. Transgender

1228. elders and some of our churches." It's

1229. like, "Wait a minute. This is terrible."

1230. And then I said, "No, I think this is

1231. good news. We're there. Jesus is coming

1232. soon. When you get my age, you want him

1233. come even sooner. I wouldn't mind death,

1234. but it's a waste of time." So, I hate

1235. just just I don't want to lay in the

1236. grave very long till the Lord comes cuz

  1237. I'm a busy guy and I don't like to to

1238. waste time. So, somebody got that. Okay.

1239. All right. Somebody did. But what we're

1240. seeing is we're living in the greatest

1241. moments of earth history to share Jesus.

1242. But we can't share what we don't have.

1243. >> So, if we want to share Jesus, you have

  1244. to have him.

1245. >> You have to have asked him, submit,

1246. commit your life to him. Say, "Lord,

1247. come into my life. forgive me for my

1248. sins. He's faithful and just to forgive

1249. us our sins and to cleanse us from some

1250. oh that little word again all

1251. unrighteousness. Isn't that amazing? God

1252. can look down at frail human agents like

1253. us who mess up all the time. We're all

1254. big mess ups. Yeah, I mess up and so do

1255. you. Don't look at me smirkly like that.

1256. So do you. You all mess. I'm just

1257. kidding. You don't get tight. So, but

  1258. that's the way that's the way we're all

1259. mess ups. But when we accept Jesus and

  1260. say, "Lord, use me."

1261. God will use us in spite of us. And

  1262. that's what's happened to 3ABN. People

1263. come up and they mentioned this morning,

1264. "Oh boy, I wish you had your faith." I

1265. said, "I never had any faith. I just

1266. used the faith of Jesus."

1267. >> Cuz I knew when Jesus said, "Go ye into

1268. all the world that I was relying on him,

1269. his faithfulness to make this happen."

1270. And so today, 41 years later, 3ABN is

1271. literally can be seen anywhere on planet

1272. Earth if you want to watch it. How many

1273. satellites we own, Greg? Eight

1274. satellites. And how many networks do we

  1275. have fulltime?

  1276. >> 10 networks. Separate networks 24/7

1277. around the world. 3ABN can be seen

1278. anywhere in the world. We say hello and

  1279. welcome to 3ABN. goes up 22,300 m to

1280. space, hits eight different satellites,

1281. traveling at the speed of light, 186,200

1282. m per second, going all the way around

1283. the world, then down into the homes of

1284. people in less than 3 seconds. So people

1285. say, "Well, how do you know Jesus is

1286. coming?" Because, you know, our

1287. ancestors, our early church leaders,

1288. they thought Jesus was coming in their

1289. day. And you know, grandma and grandpa

1290. thought Jesus was coming in their day.

1291. And I said, "Okay, how much if the world

1292. lasts another thousand years, how much

1293. can you improve on 3 seconds?"

  1294. >> You can't. We're here, folks.

1295. Jesus is coming back for a purified

1296. bride, a purified church. I'm not going

1297. to get into all the the perfect church.

1298. The perfect he, but he's coming back for

  1299. a victorious church. There is a

1300. difference. We'll talk about it camp

  1301. meeting later on. There's a difference,

1302. but he's coming back for a victorious

1303. bride. victorious church that realizes

1304. we can do nothing of ourselves, but we

1305. can accomplish all things through the

1306. Lord Jesus Christ. I know that Jill made

1307. a an appeal. I'm not going to ask you

1308. all to come forward, but but I want you

1309. to think about we're going to have

1310. prayer. And Tim, are you the piano? Give

  1311. me a B flat. And I didn't intend to do

1312. this, but give me a B flat. And so,

1313. what's going to happen while I'm singing

1314. this? I want you to think about your own

1315. life and your own relationship. with the

  1316. Lord Jesus Christ.

  1317. When I see

  1318. my brother stumble

  1319. and all,

  1320. his dreams crumble.

  1321. Let me be there

  1322. for I to fail.

1323. It's going to be hard to get through.

  1324. And when I see

  1325. his heartbreaking

  1326. from a wrong turn he's taken.

  1327. Let me be there

  1328. for I remember.

1329. Well, sing this with me if you know it.

1330. I want to spend my life

  1331. mending broken

  1332. people.

1333. I want to spend my life

  1334. removing

  1335. pain.

  1336. Lord, let my words

1337. heal a heart that hurts.

1338. I want to spend my life,

1339. my whole life, mending broken

1340. people. I'm going to ask Ivon to come up

1341. and do a closing prayer. If you want a

1342. new relationship with Jesus, if you want

1343. him to use you in ways that he's never

1344. used you before, I'm going to ask you to

1345. stand as she prays and only do it if you

1346. really mean it. Say, "Jesus, I want

1347. more. I want more than I've ever had of

1348. you. More of you, less of me. And I

1349. promise God will do great and mighty and

1350. marvelous things when you submit and

1351. commit your life to him."

  1352. >> Thank you.

  1353. Let's pray.

1354. Father God, we just praise your name

1355. this day. We thank you so very much that

1356. for each and every one of us, there is a

1357. divine plan and what we have to do is

1358. just walk into it. So we thank you Lord.

1359. We ask for those who don't know what

1360. that plan is. We ask you Lord God to

1361. please impress upon them what you would

1362. have them to do and then have them to

1363. understand that the blessing is on the

1364. go. that you are with us, that you will

1365. never leave us nor forsake us, that we

1366. can turn to you at every situation, in

1367. every situation, and know that you are

1368. there and that we can rely upon you. We

1369. thank you for that. And so as we go our

1370. separate ways now, hopefully being here

1371. this afternoon for the the meeting, we

1372. pray Lord God that you will continue to

1373. be with us, to walk with us, to guide us

1374. through the power of your Holy Spirit,

1375. so that one day we can all be together

1376. around your throne, worshiping you and

  1377. praising you in person

1378. and loving you, Lord. Thank you so much.

1379. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

  1380. >> Amen.
