-
Well, it's been an interesting four
-
months now in the elder
-
weight household between.
-
Pam's adventures and my adventures.
-
And somebody asked her the
-
other day, said, why are you
-
guys getting back to normal?
-
And she said, oh yeah.
-
And I said, oh no, we're,
-
we're not back to normal.
-
So, but we're on our way.
-
So Andy asked me if I would
-
preach this morning, and, uh,
-
it worked out all right, because
-
I think, you know, we like to
-
preach series around here now.
-
So this is a continuation
-
of my last series
-
from a long time ago,
-
from whatever it was.
-
Uh, but the last series was really
-
about the war that we are in.
-
And one of the things that I, huh, I'm
-
learning a lot about my new Bible here.
-
I keep looking at that page saying,
-
oh, there's that piece of paper.
-
I'm gonna put a marker there
-
that's part of the front page.
-
I can't take that out.
-
And somebody saw me writing in this
-
one, and if you see my old Bibles,
-
they're scribbled all over the place.
-
And when I get a new one,
-
somebody asked me, well, why
-
don't you underline those verses?
-
And I said, no, this is a new Bible.
-
I'll start and underline new
-
things as they come to me in there.
-
And some of the old things be
-
copied and some of them won't.
-
Well, as I was sitting here, I don't
-
know whether I'm getting older.
-
I've been.
-
Really struggling with what, uh,
-
would be good to share this morning.
-
And Pam asked me earlier in the
-
week, is this thing working right?
-
It feels like it's going everywhere.
-
Uh, what I was gonna preach on.
-
And I told her that we were probably going
-
to talk about why is being really good
-
to your husbands and making sure you did
-
what God wanted you to do and obeying him.
-
And she was unimpressed with my topic.
-
She said, well, there's been there too.
-
And I said, well, I'm sure
-
they'll appreciate it.
-
So that was the end of that.
-
That Herman's gone.
-
So I had to come up with
-
something else then.
-
So
-
I thought we'll have a history lesson.
-
This morning because I love history and
-
these days there's a lot of questions
-
that are being asked about things that
-
we knew to be absolute fact and it's
-
being questioned over and over and over.
-
So my question for you would be, have
-
you ever wondered why there is so
-
much conflict around Jewish people?
-
You know, they seem to be a
-
magnet for trouble all the way
-
through history on every side.
-
If, if there's a really massive
-
problem, they're in it, um,
-
they're at the center of the conflicts.
-
Let's go back to Genesis chapter three.
-
This one I think is safe, even though it
-
does talk about, yeah, it does talk about
-
ladies here and some of the things that
-
they've brought to us under my breath.
-
Now, chapter three, verse one.
-
Now, the serpent was more crafty than any
-
of the wild animals the Lord God had made.
-
He said to the woman, did God
-
really say you must not eat
-
from the tree in the garden?
-
And the woman said to the serpent,
-
we may eat fruit from the trees in
-
the garden, but God did say, you must
-
not eat fruit from the tree that is
-
in the middle of the garden and you
-
must not touch it or you will die.
-
And you will not certainly die.
-
The serpent said to the woman, for
-
God knows that when you eat from it,
-
your eyes will be opened and you will
-
be like God knowing good and evil.
-
And when the woman saw the fruit of the
-
tree was good for food and pleasing to
-
the eye, and also desirable for gaining
-
wisdom, she took some of it and ate it.
-
She also gave some to her husband
-
who was with her, and he ate it,
-
you know, and to this day, we struggle.
-
If you go out with your wife,
-
first question is, where
-
do you want to go to eat?
-
It all started right here,
-
Genesis chapter three.
-
Then the eyes of both of them were opened.
-
And they realized they were naked,
-
so they sewed fig leaves together
-
and made coverings for themselves.
-
The man and his wife heard the
-
sound of the Lord as he was walking
-
in the garden in the cool of the
-
day, and they hid from the Lord
-
God among the trees of the garden.
-
But the Lord called to
-
the man, where are you?
-
He answered, I heard you in the garden.
-
And I was afraid because I was naked.
-
So I hid and he said, who
-
told you that you were naked?
-
Have you eaten from the tree that
-
I commanded you not to eat from?
-
And the man said,
-
as a, any bold, strong man would
-
say, the woman you put here with me.
-
She gave me some fruit
-
from the tree and I ate it.
-
I did not want to go to that
-
place that's sold, sold noodles.
-
But my wife wanted to, and
-
so I had to eat noodles.
-
What is this that you have done?
-
And the woman said, the
-
serpent deceived me and I ate.
-
So it goes, excuse, excuse, excuse.
-
Well, now, from this moment
-
on, from the fall, God had a
-
plan to redeem his creation.
-
He was ready to do whatever needed
-
to be done to get that there, just
-
as I am, you know, singing from,
-
from, uh, all the
-
revivals that were there.
-
It wasn't just Billy Graham that
-
became the song that everybody sang.
-
You know, for sometimes half
-
an hour at the end of the camp
-
meeting, they're still going on.
-
Just one more verse.
-
If there's just one person who wants
-
to come sing it again, you know,
-
over and over and over and over.
-
But you did that because trying
-
to get people to come and give
-
their lives to Jesus, and that was
-
the way it was done in the days.
-
Now,
-
from the time that Satan fell, he
-
was diametrically opposed to God.
-
And God loved his creation.
-
He loved what he had made.
-
And so Satan came along and he
-
says, I want to hurt God, so I'm
-
going to destroy his creation.
-
So he did.
-
And all of mankind was cursed
-
from that day on because of
-
what happened in the garden.
-
And through that one act of sin, sin
-
entered into the world and entered in
-
to every one of us from that point on.
-
But there's a verse over in John that
-
you may know where it says, for God so
-
loved the world, that he gave his only
-
begotten son so that we would not perish.
-
And God is a lot more organized than I am.
-
You know, somebody asked me this
-
morning, what are you gonna preach on?
-
And I said, I can't wait to
-
get up there and find out.
-
You know?
-
That's it.
-
It it'll be exciting for all of us.
-
Now that's probably, I probably
-
am more organized than that.
-
Maybe I've got little
-
things in my Bible here.
-
I can remember where to go to
-
Over in Deuteronomy 14.
-
Yeah, Deuteronomy 14.
-
That's why I got the thing
-
stuck in the book of Jeremiah.
-
Deuteronomy 14 versus one and two.
-
And God is speaking to the children
-
of Israel, said, you are the
-
children of the Lord your God.
-
Do not cut yourselves or shave the
-
front of your heads for the dead.
-
For you are a people.
-
Holy to the Lord your God.
-
Out of all the peoples
-
on the face of the earth.
-
The Lord has chosen you to
-
be his treasured possession.
-
Now,
-
this is what leads us to the point in
-
your history lesson here and why the Jews
-
are just in, in the midst of everything
-
that goes on over in Deuteronomy 26,
-
verse 16, the Lord Deuteronomy 26 16, the
-
Lord your God commands you this day to
-
follow these decrees and laws, carefully.
-
Observe them with all your
-
heart, with all your soul.
-
You have declared this day that
-
the Lord is your God, and that
-
you will walk in obedience to him.
-
That you will keep his decre commands
-
and laws and that you will listen to him.
-
And the Lord has declared this day
-
that you are his people, his treasured
-
possession as he promised, and that
-
you are to keep all his commands.
-
Now, that just kind of sounds like here's
-
the whole bunch of stuff you're supposed
-
to do, but he has declared that he will
-
send you in praise, fame, and honor
-
high above all the nations that he has
-
made and that you will be a people holy
-
to the Lord your God, as he promised.
-
Now we hear a lot about the Jewish
-
people being God's chosen people.
-
Okay?
-
What does that mean?
-
They're, they're more
-
special than everybody else.
-
They're built differently.
-
They can run faster, jump higher.
-
They can, they're smarter.
-
Uh, what the world always
-
said, they're good with money.
-
All of those things, you know, okay.
-
That's not why they were chosen,
-
and that is not what makes them special.
-
Remember I said that God's
-
more organized than I am.
-
If you go
-
into the New Testament, well, in fact,
-
if you wanna read the book of numbers
-
and you want to go through Leviticus and
-
you want to go through all of the SEP two
-
agent, and it's laid out generationally
-
from one generation to the next, to the
-
next, to the next, to the next, and all
-
of these people who are there, they're
-
all tied all the way back to Adam.
-
Where sin came into the world, and
-
through that one man, that sin came into
-
the world through one man sin can be
-
erased from the world, which is Jesus.
-
But in God's total wisdom here, this
-
group of people that were wholly
-
unto the Lord were the Jewish people.
-
And so he kept that lineage in line
-
and right in the very beginning,
-
in the garden is where Satan
-
tried to destroy the lineage.
-
From that point on, understanding
-
clear back in Genesis where the
-
promise was given of a redeemer.
-
That would come through the Jewish people.
-
From that point on, Satan knew if he could
-
stop the redeemer from getting there.
-
He wins.
-
So how do you do that?
-
You try to wipe out an entire people.
-
We fought in the crusades seeds,
-
you know, Europe and the quote unquote
-
Christian nations went and they fought
-
over Jerusalem because Jerusalem
-
was holy, Jerusalem was not holy.
-
Jerusalem represented God's kingdom
-
on earth physically, which was
-
the home to the Jewish people, so
-
that that lineage continues on.
-
Okay.
-
His plan wasn't just that
-
a redeemer would come.
-
But that little thing from Rich
-
Mullins that you were saying,
-
I'm coming back.
-
That's the end of the story.
-
And until that very moment, the
-
Jewish people are God's chosen people
-
to deliver all of those things.
-
And so throughout history, you will find
-
the places and the rulers, not that God
-
raises up, but that the enemy raises
-
up to destroy that from happening.
-
You know, uh,
-
you heard me share about
-
the Valley of Henan.
-
Okay?
-
That's where the Baal worship
-
that was in Israel took place.
-
It's outside the gates of Jerusalem
-
and it's into a valley where
-
they would take the children.
-
I don't know how you got to be one
-
of the select, but one of your select
-
children, you'd bring them down there
-
and they had big brass monuments, I
-
guess you'd call 'em idols with pans
-
that were outstretched and this immense
-
fire that just burned continually.
-
And they would take their infants
-
and they would put 'em out there
-
on that altar to bail, which is not
-
more than demonic worship, and it
-
would instantly just fry their skin.
-
And as soon as they felt that they would
-
roll off and roll down into the fire,
-
and then Satan would be,
-
Baal, excuse me, would be.
-
Satisfied with the
-
sacrifice that they made.
-
And there were kings in Israel
-
who allowed that to happen.
-
They put up, ask for a polls in the
-
high places so that they would worship
-
and know to worship that, and they
-
would bring their children down here
-
and this would take place.
-
And God raised up a king who
-
came along by the name of Josiah
-
and he tore down the poles
-
and he shut off the worship,
-
and he brought back the celebration of
-
the Passover to the Jewish people so that
-
they would honestly worship God again.
-
Now, it's interesting to me that, you
-
know, Jerusalem gets established and
-
they didn't celebrate the Passover 'cause
-
the scrolls were lost in the temple.
-
And so the, the priest and the
-
scribes and the people didn't
-
even know where they were.
-
And so Josiah comes along and he
-
does all this stuff and Josiah dies
-
and the guy comes along and for
-
four years, takes his place.
-
Just a Army general because Josiah's
-
son, Manassas is down in Egypt.
-
And that guy does something
-
that nobody else does.
-
And he marches into the Valley of
-
Henan and he destroys all the altars.
-
He opens up all the, the gravestones
-
for the, the great priests of
-
veil and he incinerates everything
-
and destroys everything.
-
And God brings, God brings peace to
-
Israel for four years and then he's gone
-
and Manassas comes back.
-
And being a godly son of his father
-
re institutes the worship of Baal.
-
Now, as I was praying
-
and talking to God about what on earth.
-
To talk about this morning, and I've
-
got a whole lot more to go on this, but
-
this chosen people of God woke me up
-
in the middle of the night and he said,
-
didn't tell me I had to preach on it.
-
But Reed, Jeremiah, chapter
Jeremiah 19 chapter mention
-
19, now Jeremiah is known
-
as the weeping prophet and
-
he could be a weeping prophet for more
-
than one reason, because he was to
-
prophesy to the king, to kings because
-
they had more than one in those days
-
of the different places in Israel and
-
Jerusalem and what he had to tell them
-
pretty much sounds like chapter 19.
-
Says this is what the Lord God says,
-
go buy a clay jar from a potter.
-
Take along some of the elders of the
-
people in of the priest, and go out to
-
the valley of Ben Nan near the entrance
-
of the pot, shared pot, shared gate there.
-
Proclaim the words I tell you and say,
-
here are the word of the Lord, the
-
kings of Judah and people of Jerusalem.
-
This is what the Lord Almighty the God
-
of Israel says, listen, I'm going to
-
bring a disaster on this place that
-
will make the ears of everyone who hears
-
it tingle for they have forsaken me
-
and made this a place of foreign gods.
-
They have burned incense in it to Gods
-
that neither they nor their ancestors,
-
nor the kings of Judah ever knew.
-
And they have filled this place
-
with the blood of the innocent and
-
they have built the high places
-
of bail to burn their children in
-
the fires as offerings to bail.
-
Something I did not command or
-
mention, nor did it enter my mind.
-
So because these days are coming declares
-
the Lord, when people will no longer
-
call this place top hath or the valley of
-
been hidden, but the valley of slaughter.
-
In this place I will ruin the
-
plans of Judah and Jerusalem.
-
I will make them fall by the sword
-
before their enemies at the hands of
-
those who want to kill them, and I
-
will give their carcasses as food to
-
the birds and the wild animals, and
-
I will devastate this city and make
-
it an object of horror and scorn.
-
All who pass by will be appalled and
-
will scoff because of all its wounds,
-
and I will make them eat the flesh of
-
their own sons and daughters and they
-
will eat one another's flesh because
-
their enemies will press the siege
-
so hard against them to destroy them.
-
Then break the jar.
-
Those who go with you are
-
watching and say to them, this
-
is what the Lord Almighty says.
-
I will smash this nation and this city.
-
Just as this potter's jar is smashed and
-
cannot be repaired, they will bury the
-
dead in tope until there is no more room.
-
This is what I will do to this place and
-
to those who live here declares the Lord.
-
I will make this city like tope
-
the houses in Jerusalem and those.
-
Of the kings of Judah will be defiled,
-
like this place toit all the houses
-
where they burned incense on the roofs
-
to all the starry hosts and poured
-
out drink offerings to other gods.
-
Then Jeremiah returned from Toit, where
-
the Lord had sent him to prophesy and
-
stood in the court of the Lord's temple
-
and said to all the people, this is
-
what the Lord Almighty the God of Israel
-
says, listen, I am going to bring on
-
this city and all the villages around it.
-
Every disaster I pronounced against
-
them because they were stiff necked
-
and they would not listen to my words.
-
Now,
-
those were his chosen people.
-
Those are the ones.
-
Those are the ones that he was
-
expecting to do what he needed them
-
to do, what he had called them to
-
do, what he had chosen them to do,
-
what he had empowered them to do.
-
They were carried off by Nebu can
-
answer, and Jerusalem was left in a mess.
-
Now, if you don't remember, Jeremiah
-
died somewhat of a brutal death.
-
They butchered him.
-
They sawed his body and sunder
-
while he was alive, until he wasn't.
-
And over in the first chapter of Jeremiah.
-
You know, if you wanna be called to do
-
something that God wants you to do, verse
-
seven says, do not say, I am too young.
-
You must go everywhere I send
-
you, say whatever I command you.
-
And do not be afraid.
-
I will.
-
Verse 16, I will pronounce my
-
judgments on my people because of
-
their wickedness in forsaking me in
-
burning incense to other gods and in
-
worshiping what their hands have made.
-
Now, if he took that, that
-
serious for his own people, think
-
of the world in which we live.
-
People often today get to the point where
-
they're saying, okay, we don't believe
-
that the modern day Jewish people are
-
the same as the biblical Jewish people.
-
If you follow the ancestry,
-
that would be just like saying,
-
Jed isn't part of my beam,
-
although he came from my
-
son, I came from my father.
-
We're all part of that same limit lineage.
-
Okay?
-
If we will hear people say today,
-
if you stand with Israel, then
-
you're just a Jewish national.
-
We choose Judaism over being an American.
-
Well, God says in his word that those
-
who stand with Israel, stand with him.
-
That's a weight paraphrase.
-
It's not perfect, but.
-
They also want to know going back
-
into history, how come there is
-
so much animosity between the Jews
-
and the Arab worlds or the Muslims
-
back here where we said that the
-
Jewish people were God's chosen people
-
who are, who were the two sons
-
there where a choice was made?
-
Isaac, Isaac, and Ishmael.
-
Ishmael, okay.
-
Who is Ishmael considered the father
-
of the Arab world, the Muslim world.
-
And God chose Isaac, not Ishmael.
-
So there has been animosity
-
from that point forward.
-
Now the devil likes a
-
good brand of hatred.
-
He can use that with almost
-
any group you can find.
-
So just as clear, back in the Middle Ages,
-
when we went and fought over Jerusalem,
-
who was fighting over Jerusalem,
-
the quote unquote Christians and the
-
Muslims, because you know there is a
-
Muslim capital of the world over here.
-
There's a Christian capital
-
of the world over here.
-
So why was, why were the
-
Muslims fighting over Jerusalem?
-
Because the Jews needed to not be
-
there and the devil works that out.
-
And so to this very day,
-
that fight continues.
-
World War I, not two.
-
World War I brought
-
tremendous antisemitism.
-
Some of you like movies, right?
-
I know my wife and Susie do.
-
This is one of their favorite movies.
-
Lord, help me.
-
Ah, Fiddler on the Roof.
-
Yeah.
-
You guys know all that?
-
Okay?
-
That's the story of persecution
-
of the Jews in Russia during
-
World War One and all over Europe.
-
By the time we get to World
-
War Two, what happens?
-
Okay?
-
The Jews are the problem.
-
The Jews are the problem
-
in Germany, right?
-
Basically the Jews are the
-
problem in the whole world.
-
Germany just becomes really
-
active in what is going on,
-
and they are going to rid
-
the world of the problem.
-
And so they killed the
-
Jews by the millions.
-
We had Nazi parties right here in
-
the US that was one of our political
-
groups during that timeframe.
-
Okay.
-
We had massive anti-Jewish rallies
-
all over the northeast of our country.
-
There is another movie, I don't
-
even remember the name of it,
-
but it's about a true event of
-
a, of the last ship that allows.
-
The Jews to leave Germany, and
-
they're all loaded on this ship, and
-
that ship travels all over Europe,
-
south America, Africa, the United States,
-
and no one will allow the ship tord all
-
of those Jewish people in its scent.
-
Back to Germany
-
and to the concentration camps.
-
There were God's chosen
-
people to get the job done.
-
Do you remember when Jesus is born
-
and the king sent out an edict that
-
you're gonna go to that place where he
-
was born and you're gonna kill what?
-
All the babies, boys, two years
-
and younger, because if that
-
was the Messiah, I kill him.
-
I cut off the head of the enemy over
-
here, and redemption doesn't come.
-
So all the way along, you do all
-
these things to try to do what
-
will thwart God in his plan to redeem man.
-
Now
-
people say, well, there was some
-
good things that came out of all of
-
the horror of World War II and all
-
of the persecution of those Jews.
-
Okay?
-
Do you know that medical science
-
is still using the information that
-
the Germans gained in World War ii?
-
Do you know how we know that the
-
body temperature of a person can
-
only get so high before they die
-
because they ran those
-
tests on the Jewish people?
-
Do you know how cold a person has
-
to be before they can't recover?
-
Do you know how long you can be underwater
-
and drowned before they
-
can bring you back to life?
-
This is all part of our medical books that
-
we study and use today in the free world,
-
and the man who is in charge
-
of all of those things.
-
Died in a, in a prison camp.
-
You know why?
-
Because he said this information,
-
I mean, he was a sadistic human
-
being, but he said, this information
-
needs to be shared with the world,
-
so we know about this stuff.
-
And Hitler had him put in a
-
prison camp until he died because
-
that was not for the world.
-
That was for the Aryan people.
-
Remember Hitler's book there?
-
Mine comp.
-
Do you know?
-
There's an Arabic version of that book.
-
While Hitler in Germany was still living,
-
they sent a representative to the Arab
-
world that they were allied with, and
-
they turned that into an Arabic mine comp.
-
It is studied today.
-
It is the second book below the Quran.
-
There is a plan by the enemy, and
-
guys, when I say we are at war, we're,
-
we're, we're not physically at war
-
with, you know, another country.
-
We are at war with an enemy that wants to
-
destroy everything that God has a part of.
-
He hates the Jewish people
-
for the plan of salvation.
-
He hates Christian people because we take
-
part in that and that God has come along
-
and given us the job to spread the gospel.
-
He brought the gospel through those
-
people, and the Jews will be the
-
last people on earth who will be
-
evangelistic in the midst of the
-
tribulation to everything else.
-
That plan is different and we are
-
setting here today in our own country.
-
We are we.
-
We have people in Congress, we have.
-
People in different states that are
-
doing everything they can to set
-
up Sharia law to turn our country
-
towards the Muslim religion in the
-
United States of America, the fastest
-
growing religion is what Muslim.
-
Okay, now that makes a lot of sense.
-
All you ladies like to, to wear
-
shorts or a short skirt or a halter
-
top or go swimming, one piece,
-
two piece, 10 piece bathing suit.
-
That's a death sentence.
-
You
-
can't do that.
-
You have to wear and cover yourself
-
if you speak up.
-
I mean, we've got these.
-
Excuse me, I may get a
-
little off topic here.
-
We have these absolute idiots who are
-
in political positions standing up
-
here saying, this is what we want.
-
If they had that this
-
minute, they're dead.
-
We have people at our colleges and
-
universities that are protesting
-
on behalf of the Muslim people, who
-
are the people that are protesting.
-
It's a great big thing.
-
You know, the L-G-B-T-E-Q
-
uh plus, whatever.
-
Okay.
-
It's that group four Muslims.
-
Do you know if you are an admitted.
-
Person of any of those groups,
-
you get to live in the penthouse
-
of every high rise building
-
for about 60 seconds
-
before you learn to fly,
-
because that is what happens to you.
-
That is under Sharia law.
-
That is the pronouncement of judgment.
-
You're thrown off a tall building.
-
Okay?
-
When women,
-
you know this, it's a,
-
it's a wonderful religion,
-
okay?
-
Women of an enemy or women who
-
are just decided that you are
-
not, uh, you're not appropriate.
-
And you're put to death in a very
-
humiliating death, but put to death.
-
But you know what the procedure is?
-
You are raped or gang raped,
-
and then you are executed.
-
You know why that is?
-
Because if you weren't, they could
-
kill you and you could go to heaven.
-
But if you were raped, you go to hell.
-
So they do that to you.
-
Then they do the other thing.
-
Cut off your head, hang you, shoot you.
-
It doesn't matter.
-
We are not understanding.
-
That God has a plan of redemption
-
and love for all of Mankin,
-
and the enemy wants nothing but
-
destruction and terror and horror.
-
We're at war.
-
You've heard me say that.
-
Dozens, those of you've been here a long
-
time, hundreds and hundreds of times.
-
We are at war
-
and we are fighting against an enemy that
-
has no compassion, no mercy, nothing.
-
That is why when the children of
-
Israel went against what God was
-
trying to get them to do, that
-
boy, he pronounced judgment on
-
them because we are not doing this.
-
You are going to change
-
those of you who live.
-
Nehemiah comes back later
-
and he rebuilds Jerusalem
-
and God restores that lineage in that line
-
wherever it went.
-
See, we are a part of his plan, but
-
that war isn't over in the Middle East.
-
The war is here it is now,
-
and we are fighting it.
-
And we either stand and
-
the idea of stand isn't.
-
Well read your Bible, you better
-
read your Bible, or you don't
-
have anything to be armed with.
-
It's not, well, read your Bible and get
-
up in the morning and have your devotions.
-
Guys.
-
We are either fighting for the souls
-
of men on a daily basis, or we're
-
just enduring life until it's over.
-
I'm struggling myself right now because
-
when I had some big heart and blood
-
pressure issues, you know, they came and
-
sat on me and said, you gotta listen to
-
your wife, and that'll ruin any guy's
-
day right there, because she'll tell you
-
what you can do and what you can't do.
-
And I mean, just last night,
-
just last night.
-
I sat down and I said, I'm hungry.
-
And she said, you're not hungry.
-
So I guess I wasn't hungry.
-
It's amazing.
-
You, you, you can't tell anymore what,
-
what you are and what you're not.
-
But I've had to slow down and the
-
doctor says, you're gonna, you're
-
gonna lose weight or all the medicine
-
I give you isn't gonna help at all.
-
So I've lost 15 pounds
-
and it's working better.
-
Well see, that's the way
-
I feel about it, you know?
-
That's great.
-
And he says, well, that's a good start.
-
You know, I mean, they, they
-
don't have anything nice to
-
say to you at times like that.
-
Oh, so.
-
You know, I, I, I can't work
-
as hard as I wanna work.
-
I can't sleep very long.
-
I can't eat like I want to eat.
-
Life's just wonderful, you know?
-
But no matter what that's like, I've
-
got to be about my father's business.
-
And so do you.
-
Heaven needs to be different
-
because you're here.
-
The goal for God's people
-
isn't to get there.
-
It's to get others there with you.
-
And if we're not doing that, then God's
-
whole plan falls apart right here.
-
It's me.
-
It's you.
-
We have got to be a part of that.
-
I don't want God sitting here
-
saying, okay, this is what is
-
gonna happen, and I'm gonna send
-
the prophet over here to tell you
-
later on as you go along as Jeremiah,
-
he says, go and go and tell the king and
-
all the people that are in his group.
-
You're gonna die, period.
-
I'm gonna send the most hideous
-
plague that you've ever seen, and
-
you're gonna die of the plague.
-
If anybody that survives that, then you're
-
gonna get murdered with your own weapons
-
and say to the people, if you stay in
-
Jerusalem, same feat for you if you leave.
-
You get to become a slave and
-
you're carried away into captivity.
-
There you go.
-
Here's your choice.
-
And what I get out of Jeremiah
-
is God isn't fooling guys.
-
This is war.
-
And in war
-
we either win or we're destroyed and
-
we are living at a time in our country
-
where guys, it's, we got it pretty much
-
easy compared to the rest of the world.
-
Some of you remember Gil, who lived
-
with us for a while, worked for me.
-
Ronnie got deported.
-
He's down in, he's down
-
in Honduras because he
-
had a guy work with him and left
-
the guy leave his stuff in his car
-
overnight to pick him up the next day
-
to go over and help at your house.
-
The guy had marijuana in his bag, and
-
so Ronnie got stopped for driving.
-
Without a license, he
-
would've got a $50 fine,
-
but there's marijuana in the bag.
-
So Ronnie was in possession,
-
worked him for seven years, doesn't
-
drink, doesn't smoke, doesn't
-
use any kind of drugs, nothing.
-
No trial.
-
He's there.
-
No chance to come back.
-
His wife, his daughter was
-
born here and his son are here.
-
Gil called this week and
-
Ron helped him with a plane ticket.
-
We're helping him with a bus ticket to get
-
there, to the plane to get to Costa Rica.
-
And the day that he talked to me, he said.
-
Cartel killed 14 people
-
today in our little place.
-
They're after me,
-
and so he is hiding out at his
-
mother's place up in the mountains,
-
less than 50 miles from Acapulco.
-
For those of you who like to go and
-
have a great time on the beach and
-
do all the stuff, this one's going
-
on half an hour away from where
-
you're soaking in the sun.
-
You know the world's a dangerous place.
-
Not so much here.
-
Not so much.
-
But if I read God's plan
-
and what the Devil's design is for
-
God's plan, we're living in a lot
-
more dangerous place than we think.
-
And as long as we just keep going through
-
the day by day work that we need to
-
do and going on every day, we do that.
-
An enemy that is trying to destroy
-
everything that we believe in
-
and everyone that we believe
-
in are working round the clock.
-
No sub, no give up.
-
We're at war and God's people are
-
either on their knees and have their
-
sword and going out and trying to
-
take territory from the enemy, or
-
we're just sitting back and waiting
-
until the enemy comes to our door.
-
Lord, help us not.
-
To live in the days of Jeremiah,
-
help us to live in the days of Elijah.
-
Help us put on that full
-
armor of God and go to war.
-
Help us as your people, not to be
-
the ones saying we're ready to fight.
-
When the fight comes,
-
the fight's already here.
-
It's around us.
-
It's everywhere.
-
Everywhere.
-
Open our eyes.
-
Help us to see what we, we can't see.
-
Humanly speaking.
-
Help us to see thunder and hear lightning.
-
You designed this world.
-
You designed a plan.
-
You chose the people, and you said
-
we could be a part of that plan.
-
But restoration redemption,
-
we need it.
-
We need you.
-
We need you to break our hearts.
-
We need you to just
-
work in us in ways that
-
we are not used to.
-
Don't let us be satisfied.
-
Don't let us
-
feel like, Hey, I'm doing enough.
-
You paid it all.
-
Jeremiah came along to follow you and you
-
said, here, I'm gonna give you a message.
-
It will cost you everything
-
that you have, including you.
-
Now, don't be afraid, 'cause
-
I'm gonna be with you.
-
Get out there and get it done.
-
Sounds like a coach telling his team
-
what to go do against a much, much
-
bigger opponent than they think.
-
If we relate to that, then we can
-
relate to Jeremiah and we can relate
-
to you as a true life coach for us.
-
Do something in us.
-
Lord, do it today.
-
Your name, amen.
